Summary:
Duel Academy, the school built by Seto Kaiba to foster a new generation of talented duelists is one of the greatest institutions in the world... that said, with the knowledge of three dangerous cards sealed under the school it might be a good idea if someone there was able to keep an eye on things and let Kaiba know what's going on at Academy Island. Perhaps, the young boy with the new Kuriboh monster? He'll need a special deck to use for emergencies but maybe this Jaden Yuki can keep Duel Academy running smoothly while enjoying his special entrance?

"Help me!" An Obelisk Blue was running through the forest in horror. He, and his friends had done something that Duel Academy had banned, and for good reason from taking classes with Professor Banner, and they had paid the price for it. The spirit they had summoned desired three sacrifices that they assumed was cards but meant actual people. Now two are gone, and one is left. Himself. 'My friends there gone... I need to make sure, I'm not next, and get some help!'
Meanwhile...
It was now Winter Break at Duel Academy, and mostly everyone went back home for the holidays. But Jaden, Syrus, Alexis, Zane, Bastion, Chumley, and Professor Banner are staying at the Academy to spend more time together. Right now they are at the Slifer Dorm together watching Syrus, and Jaden having a duel while Banner is fixing some hot pot.
"Jaden seems to have quite the advantageous position wouldn't you agree Zane?" Bastion inquired looking at the duel.
"Yeah, he's in the lead but the duel isn't over quite yet." Zane pointed out as he wanted to see if Syrus could figure out a way to turn things around... he was doubtful but it wasn't impossible.
Syrus was currently dueling Jaden checking his drawn card. "My turn Jaden, and I'll start by activating Pot of Greed. This…"
Suddenly there was a loud crash as someone fell into the dorm.
"Huh?" They all looked over seeing the figure as they headed over as he raise up looking completely pale that Jaden couldn't help but comment on it. "Wow, you look like you seen a ghost."
"I have..." the boy from before answered over looking really scared.
"What? What do you mean?" Alexis asked seeing him before she paused. "Wait a second... aren't you Torrey?"
"Torrey?" Professor Banner asked helping him up. "Oh yes, from my Para-Dueling class correct?"
"Yes professor!" the boy, Torrey, gripped onto Professor Banner's outfit looking horrified. "And everything you said about Duel Spirits, the Spirit World being real, all of it is true!"
Zane narrowed his eyes. "What are you talking about?"
"Yes. Torrey take a deep breath, and tell us what is going on." Professor Banner spoke to him gently as Torrey takes a breath.
"Well... after our lessons me, and a couple of friends of ours tried to see if what your saying is real." Torrey starts to explain what is going on about it. The stuff they do is forbidden but they still went ahead, and do it, and only Banner should know how to stop this. "We... already seen, and heard of the monsters around the island but we wanted to see if they are real, then perhaps the Spirit World is real too... so we studied some stuff... even though the Academy forbids it."
Jaden's eyes widened. "Wait, what are you talking about? What happened Torrey?"
"Well, after your class I told two of my friends about what you said, about how to summon a Duel Spirit. I don't really know what happened, maybe it was because we lit a bunch of candles, or used Dr. Crowler's bath sheets as robes but this time... something was different." Torrey had thought they were doing something wrong at first but when it started reacting they know they had managed to successfully contacted a spirit. A rather dangerous one. "We put our hands on the Ouija Board, said the chant and then there was a gust of wind. The spirit said "Give me three and I'll be free"."
"Three, three what?" Alexis asked him.
"We thought he was talking about cards." Torrey admitted fearfully.
"What spirit did you summon Torrey?"
"It's... Jinzo." This further dread Professor Banner's mood.
"Oh dear me no," Banner looked real worried. "Jinzo's appetite would never be satisfied with mere cards, this is just awful."
"Are you sure your friends didn't just leave the island?" Chumley asked her.
"No they aren't." Torrey denied from what Chumley is saying. He had assumed that as well, but when he was told they weren't with there families, he tried to escape himself but... "I already called all of there families... they said there not there. I knew then that my two friends were taken, and I'm next... I tried evacuating the island but... he was already there waiting for me... I just ran..."
"Don't worry, you're safe now." Bastion reassured him. "Nobody will be able to do anything to you."
Before Torrey can say more the lights in the dorm went out, and the candles were blown out.
"Ahh... what was that?" Syrus panicked.
"It was probably just a dead bulb of a burned fuse." Professor Banner mentioned.
"Or maybe, it was me!"
They all turned over at the collapsed doorway where a man wearing a cloak, and hat was holding Torrey's unconscious body in his arm was there.
"Torrey!" Jaden cried seeing that. "Give him back!"
"We had a deal!" the figure stated as he turned and carried Torrey off.
"Get back here!" Jaden cried running after the figure as the others started to run after him.
"Can someone tell me why we're running after the evil Duel Spirit?" Chumley questioned.
They all chased after him but after a while they looked around in the forest. They had lost sight of Jinzo, and looked around trying to find him but can't find him. Where could he have gone? He's a big, and tall person, he's hard to miss but they can't see him anywhere.
Jaden frowned. "Torrey, where are you!?"
Suddenly they heard a meow which they looked over seeing Pharaoh with them is growling his hair standing all the way as if sensing where Jinzo could've gone.
"Pharaoh, is something wrong?" Professor Banner asked only for Pharaoh to run off.
"He must be able to sense Torrey come on, after him." Jaden called as he started to follow the cat.
"Ah, why do spirits go where is spookiest?" Chumley asked with a groan hating this as they headed over together.
Eventually they arrived in a large electrical plant area, and notices Torrey nearby. Jaden tried getting closer but a bolt of lightning stopped him as he yelled out stepping back as someone formed in front of them laughing manically.
It's Jinzo in all his glory but still incorporeal.
"Jinzo!" Jaden cried. "Let Torrey go!"
"Me and him still have a deal to go through, and it's time I collect the rest of it." Jinzo spoke evilly to Jaden.
Bastion frowned. "You mean his soul correct, 'Give me three and I'll be free'. You refer to human souls correct?"
"Of course, weren't you listening?"
Jaden moved to challenge Jinzo only for Bastion to step forward. "Unfortunately that won't be happening."
"Bastion?" Jaden asked him as Bastion walked over while Jinzo stares over interested.
"I understand that you're here to keep us all safe from anything unusual Jaden, you're not the only capable duelist here and we need to help as well... so allow me to deal with Jinzo." Bastion told him. "I assure you I can handle myself in this duel."
"You do realize what your saying human?" Bastion turned over to Jinzo who spoke over to him. "You will be involved in a Shadow Game where I can claim your life."
"Oh I understand." Bastion nodded. "Though if we're going to duel Jinzo, I have a question for you. Which of my decks will I use?"
He opened his blazer revealing six deck boxes each marked with a different attribute.
"Whoa that's a lot of Decks." Syrus spoke seeing that with widen eyes. "Why does he have so many though?"
"Hmmm..." Jinzo checked over interested before then pointing at one, "The bottom left." A sparkle of lightning not enough to cause some harm to Bastion or his Decks crackled onto the selected Deck.
"Interesting, my LIGHT Deck, very well then." Bastion nodded putting it in his Duel Disk.
As he prepared his Duel Disk, large card backings formed behind Jinzo five created. "I should be able to keep this current up long enough for a match! First I destroy you, then I consume you!"
"If you can destroy me, I'll be taking the first turn if that's fine with you Jinzo?" Bastion inquired calmly.
"Go ahead." Jinzo said as they readied themselves.
"Get your game on Bastion!" Jaden called for him.
"Be careful!" Syrus added over to their Ra Yellow Duelist.

Bastion looked at his hand before nodding. "I'll begin by setting one monster in defense position and placing two cards facedown to end my turn. A simple start but one that should be sufficient."

"I call that pathetic. My draw." Jinzo said as a card appeared in front of him that he eyes before then another card manifested. "I will start with Emissary of the Afterlife in Attack Position." At that a cloaked fiend with a large scythe appeared growling.

"Well Jinzo, as I control two Batteryman monsters I'm permitted to summon my Batteryman Fuel Cell from my hand without a sacrifice." Bastion answered as what emerged was another monster like a recharging cell for batteries. "Something I doubt you would be very familiar with as you're attempting to sacrifice three people for your own purposes."

Fuel Cell charges energy, and blasted a blast at Jinzo's face-down that he returns to his hand without a fuss.
Fuel Cell charges a lightning based attack blasting over at Emissary destroying it without trouble. (Jinzo: 3500/Hand: 5) Jinzo isn't bothered by the loss of Life Points rather is more on his next move. "Foolish mortal! By sending Emissary to the graveyard, we both can add a monster to our hands that are Level 3 or lower Normal Monsters! And I choose Dark King of the Abyss!" A large monster card appeared that shows of his choice.
"Normal Monsters, unfortunately my deck doesn't have any... however I can attack your life points directly with my Super-Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon." Bastion stated.
Voltch charged up lightning in it's mouth blasting over towards Jinzo. Despite being a spirit he is still capable of feeling pain as evident by his yelling. (Jinzo: 1100/Hand: 6)
"With that I'll end my turn." Bastion finished.

"Tch, my turn now." Jinzo drew checking before he smirked. "And I couldn't have chosen a better one. With this card, my resurrection is all but closer."
"Your resurrection, what are you talking about?" Bastion questioned.
"First I activate Brain Control!" Jinzo revealed a spell.

Bastion's eyes widened as his monster moved to Jinzo's field.
"And now I sacrifice that monster to conjure..." Jinzo laughed as the monster vanished as a monster card was revealed. "Jinzo!" He vanished before electricity struck the field where he stand before he was formed this time as a monster in manaical laughter.

"No, Portable Battery Back summoned them but if it's negated his monsters aren't destroyed." Zane answered.
"And then due to my other special ability any other Trap Card that's face-down you were hoping to pull cannot be activated!" Jinzo added pointing to Bastion's face-down while saying that.
Bastion frowned hearing that.
"And now time to enact your consequences!" Jinzo's eyes lit up as he charged energy in his right hand. "Cyber Energy Shock!" He blasted energy over towards Batteryman D.
Bastion braced himself as Batteryman D was destroyed.

Syrus noticing something widen his eyes. "Bastion, your legs!"
Bastion blinked looking down as he saw his legs were vanishing. "What in the world!?"
"I am simply collecting my end of the deal!" Jinzo smirked over to him from this. "Half of your life for half of your Life Points, and it feels good! This duel was an excellent idea, it's better to enjoy things slowly then to take it all at once!"
Bastion flinched. "Though if I win you'll uphold your end of our deal and return my life force you've taken along with the others correct?"
"That's the agreement. Of course, that's assuming you win." Jinzo smirked over before then a card appeared on his field. "Then I activate Amplifier!" Some kind of helmet appeared on his head.

"He did?" Chumley, and Syrus asked together confused hearing that.
"Yes, you see by removing Batteryman Micro-Cell and Batteryman D from my graveyard I can summon Batteryman Industrial Strength to my field." Bastion answered playing the card.

Jinzo yelled out as his monster form, and face-down which was Call of the Haunted shattered as he yelled out destroyed as they all cheered. "NO!" They blinked from this hearing Jinzo's voice as they looked around. "I'm to close! I can't let it end here! I REFUSSSEE!"
Suddenly Torrey began raising back up from the ground.
"Huh, Torrey?" Jaden asked seeing that.
"I am not Torrey." Torrey spoke with red eyes in a mix of his, and Jinzo's voices with Torrey looking hypnotized. "I am Jinzo, and I will not let this be the end, and finish this on next turn."
"Unfortunately for you there won't be a next turn, Batteryman Industrial Strength attacks your life points directly." Bastion stated.
Industrial Strength readied charging in to Jinzo who revealed a card. "I reveal Battle Fader from hand. Due to this card's effect, I summon it to end the Battle Phase."
"Not quite, I use the trap Solemn Judgment!" Bastion countered using one of the most powerful traps in the game.

"Industrial Strength can now attack you uninterrupted!" Bastion told Jinzo as Industrial Strength charged an attack blasting over at Jinzo who screamed as he was attacked as a bright light burst from the entire field.

The light kept getting brighter. Everyone shielded their eyes from the blinding light. When it faded they all looked over seeing that Torrey is unconscious again but he is with 2 other unconscious boys. Seeing them Jaden's eyes widened. "Come on, we need to get them to the infirmary!"
They all ran to help everyone to the Infirmary.
Later they all managed to bring Torrey, and his friends to the infirmary. Nurse Fontaine assured them, they will be fine just exhausted after all they been through. Which means Jinzo brought them back safe, and sound without issue as is the agreement.
"I guess alls well that ends well?" Syrus asked hopefully.
"This time thankfully. Although, Bastion, that was entirely risky to risk your life like that." Professor Banner spoke over towards Bastion. "I understand it's so Jaden can't take this himself, but you needed to prepare yourself more in case it didn't work like you intended."
"I understand, but Jaden isn't on his own... yes Seto Kaiba requested he act as a sort of guardian angel watching over Duel Academy but the rest of us are duelists in our own right and can help him if he needs it." Bastion pointed out.
"Bastion's right, you can rely on us too Jaden." Alexis mentioned before she smiled slightly. "We have your back, so you can count on us."
Jaden smiled over from this before then saying. "Thank you all for it. Just make sure you be careful."
"We will be, but you be careful too." Alexis told him.
Jaden nodded before he looked out the window. There goes one emergency, and he didn't do anything to stop it this time thanks to his friends. Kaiba would probably be pleased to learn that there are other potential Duelists to take care of threats like these which is what Duel Academy is for to keep the Sacred Beasts safe. He wonders what exactly can be next.
bopdog111: Jinzo was stopped, and Bastion revealed the first of his six Decks.
Ulrich362: True, and it was very useful. Batteryman does fit him.

Ulrich362: True, so... what's going to happen next?
bopdog111: Well Harrington isn't getting shown so we are on the Duel Giant next.
