The Adventures of David and Catherine

Chapter 1. Daycare clayton valley athletic club.

Summer time.

6 or 7pm Tuesday or Thursday.

Steve comes to the gym with David (4 years old) and drops him off at the daycare.

Marie comes in shortly after and drops off Catherine (5 years old) at daycare.

Catherine walks into the Clayton Valley athletic club and sees David sitting in a corner playing by himself with some action figures. David looked like a sweet, cute kid and Catherine was drawn to him. She walked over and sat down beside him and asked him "What are you doing?"

David says in a shy voice "Umm… I am playing with my turtles."

Catherine said "That is neat! Can I play with you?"

David says surprised "Okay…who do you want to be?"

Catherine said, "What are the choices?"

David said "Raphael, Mickey, Donatello, Leonardo
Catherine said, "Which one is your favorite?"

David said, "Mickey."

Catherine said, "I will be…what powers do they have? What is the difference between them?"

David said, "They don't have powers, they use karate and weapons."

Catherine said, "What weapons?"

David picked up Mickey action figure and said, "This is Mickey, and he is the best one and he has nunchaku, and he is a party dude. You'd want to have pizza with him."

David then picked up Raphael and said, "This is Raphi, and he does drugs, but he has the sai."

David then picks up Leo and says, "He's the worm, he had the sword."

David then picked up Donatello and said, "This is Donnie, and he does cool things."

David laughs and says, "He gets a Yoda stick."

Catherine said, "That is neat! I would like Leo, because my favorite color is blue, and I like his swords."

David gave Catherine the toy and started making sound effects that sound like lasers.

David said" Pew, Pew, Pew." As he attacked my little pony.

Catherine picks up Leo and looks at it and wiggles it around back and forth in her hand as she smiles.

Catherine then attempts to play with David by taking Leo and fighting my little pony with him by using the swords attached to Leo.

Catherine and David enjoy playing with each other.

David looks up at Catherine and says, "You have cute red hair."

Catherine said, "Thank you."

David asks Catherine "Do you like Star Trek?"

Catherine said "I think I have seen an episode with my mom. She is a big fan."

David's father comes in and sees Catherine and David sitting together playing.

He says "Hi, I'm Mr. Lytell, David's dad."

Catherine said "Hello, I am Catherine."

Steve, Mr. Lytell, said "Nice to meet you. You're a cute little girl."

Catherine said "Thank you"

Catherine's mom comes in and goes up to Catherine and says, "Hey Catherine, how was daycare?".

Catherine said "Great, Mom. I met… what is your name?"

David replied shyly "David".

Catherine said "This is David and his Dad Mr. Lytell.

Catherine turns to David and Steve and says, "This is my mom, Marie."

Steve reaches out a hand to Marie and they shake hands.

Steve says, "Nice to meet you. Look forward to seeing you both next time"

Marie says, "Nice to meet you too. See you then."

David turned to Catherine and said, "What toys you got?"

Catherine says, "Stuffed animals and doll baby."

David said "I wanna share."

Catherine says "Okay, I will bring some next time."

David says "YAY! Bye."

Catherine smiles and says "Bye."
