We open with King Sombra and all of his followers at the entrance to Tartarus. Two guards in uniform yawn, as nopony ever bothers to invade.
All of a sudden they here a large rustling from the forest in front of them. All of a sudden the small wrinkled figure of Ma Hydia from the pushes.
"ATTAAAACK!" The witch shouted,
An entire horde of Grundels and Diamond Dogs burst out of the forest from behind her heading for the gates. In a panic, one of the guards sounds the alarm alerting the surrounding forces. From Deep within Tartarus, numerous guards and H.O.R.S.E. agents panic. They rush to the armory preparing for combat, and then rush to the entrance to fight off the horde.
As a battle continues at the front of the gates H.O.R.S.E. blimps fly up into the sky high above the gates. Tempest Shadow sits at the helm watching over the battle battle below.
"Fire at my command!" the Unicorn proclaims.
All of her blimp starts taking fire. The Unicorn looks up, and to her horror she see numerous pirate ships flying in the air above her. Commander Wind Rider looks stands at the helm one of the Ships. He looks down on the blimps from a telescope, Lightning Dust by his side.
"GO! GO! GO!" the pegasus commands as numerous Shadowbolts, Changelings, and various pirates swoop down. They board the H.O.R.S.E. blimps one by one taking out the crew, at taking command.
The guards try desperately to keep the horde, but pretty soon the burst open the gates. We're stopping at the gates Grundles and Diamond Dogs swarm down the maze of tunnel that make up Tartarus, passing numerous monsters locked in cages on the way. As they pass them buy the fiends release the beasts, allowing Chimeras and Bugbears to join their forces.
From a high guard tower, and armored pony shouts, "Release the Cerberus!"
All of a sudden there a large crashing can be heard making it's way thought the maze. The army of fiends and monsters pause their destruction in horror, at what's about to come.
"GRRRRRRAAAARRRR!"
Cerberus leaps down upon the two ponies trying to hold back by chains. It's three heads snarl at the houde as begins taking taking them out one by one. The larger monsters try to attack the beast to no avail, while the diamond dogs and grundles flee in utter horror. The Guards of Tartarus cheer as the battle has turned in their favor.
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR!"
A large roar echoes thought the halls of Tartarus. Cerberus pauses his attack fo a moment pointing his three heads back in the direction of the entrance.
"Smug! Smug! Smug! Smug!" the minions begin to cheer as overgrown green dragon worms it's way throught the tunnels of Tartarus making it's way twoard Cerberus.
"They have a Dragon," one of the guards says from his tower in a panic.
The dragon, Smug makes his way towards Cerberus in a fury. The noble beast tried desperately to fight back, but to no avail. Sumg lifted up Cerberus by his jaws, tossed him around the room Several times, and then finally threw him to the ground in a cloud of dust.
As the dust clears King Sombra slowly made his way forward walking past the defeated three headed dog. Behind him strode Katrina, followed Charlatan, Zeb, Chrysalis, Ahuizotl, Don Grif'aun, and finally Cujo.
The evil King glares up at the guard tower causing the two guards to duck down cowering.
With his followers close behind him, King Sombra slowly makes his way to a large gate with Seven Keyholes on it. The gate depict carvings of evils monsters causing chaos and destruction everywhere.
"After all these year," the King Sombra says with a wicked grin, "The gate of Tartarus...Vengeance, Power, and Conquest will at last be mine..."
"That's enough nephew..." a voice calls from the Darkness.
The menacing figure of Tikbalang steps out from the Darkness claf in armor.
"Hello Uncle," said Sombra with a scowl.
"Why have you storm my sacred chambers nephew?" asked Tikbalang grimly.
"You know exactly why I've come, Uncle," said Sombra with a scowl.
"Petty vengeance," said Tikbalang, "How childish..."
"Petty?" asked Sombra, "Unless I'm mistaken you once tried to overthrow my father yourself!"
"...And I have more then paid the Price," said Tikbalang, "Here I stand forced to watch over the gates of Tartarus for all eternity...Keeping our hated enemies at bay..."
"Then step aside Uncle!" said Sombra proudly, "And let me release our vengeance."
"You know not what your actions would unleash," Tikbalang said sadly, "I do...I beg of you Nephew do not do this."
Sombra scowled, a fiery rage burning his eyes. All of a sudden be burst of blast of light at the old Alicorn, toss into a corner.
Sombra stepped forward in front of the gates his six closest allies at his side. Each one held out a key of Tartarus; Cujo the Key of Wrath, Don Grif'aun the Key of Pride, Zeb the Key of Envy, Ahuizotl the Key of Sloth, Chrysalis the Key of Lust, Charlatan the Key of Greed, and Sombra the Key of Pride.
Katrina stood at the sidelines speaking out a few enchanted words. As her enchanted staff began to glow, the seven keys floated upward. Slowly buts steady the began topspin around in a circle. Faster and faster they wend, until finally they thrust themselves forward into the seven Keyholes. The gates burst forward revealing a shimmering portal. A giant iron cage held back 9 giant monstrous silhouettes from moving forward.
"BROTHERS and SISTERS!" said Sombra moving forward, "TITANS! Look at you in your squalid prison! Who put you down there?"
"SLEIPNIR!" They all shouted.
But then everything grew silence as the leader of the titans pushed them as side. His silhouetted had large horns, and large muscles.
"And who are you?" the monster growled.
"I was once Prince Brightlight," stated Sombra, "But much like you I too was casted away by my father Sleipnir so I own him no allegiemce. I am now King Sombra and no only I have provided the seven keys to free you..."
"What of it," said the horned beast, "I hold no gratitude toward you, nor any allegiance.
"I also have this..." Sombra said pulling something out with a smile. Then show.
He then showed them the alicorn amulet. The Titans were shocked to see the one item in existence that could force them to obey Sombra.
"While I have this Amulet, you are in my power. Understand? You work for me! and Don't fret you shall rule the world, under my command. Do we have a deal?"
The titans then glanced at each other mumbling. Finally their leader spoke up.
"Prey tell, how did you ahold of the amulet," the leader said, "As I recall it belongs to the Crystal Empire."
"Never mind how I got it," said Sombra, "Will you obey or not!
"Very well we shell do as you say for now." said the leader, "But only because you have peaked my interest..."
"Excellent." King Sombra smiled evilly He then used the keys to released the titans and one by one they came out. First was Lord Tirek himself he was a giant red centaur with bull horns out of his head, Then The one eyes Spider Ahgg came forward, Next came Erebus the living storm cloud, Next came Lavan the walking volcano, Next is Queen Bee the ruler of all incests, The purple Smooze unlike it's green counter part this one was evil, Next is the Sphinx the monster with a body of a lioness and wings of an eagle, Next is Crunch the Rockdog came out, and last but not least the kraken Squirk monster of the sea.
King Sombra is still smiling evilly "I do believe have a world to rule."
He then he did his evil laugh.
Later in the Dragon Kingdom
Numerous dragons were lounging about doing nothing to do. Garble and his friends were soaking in a lave spring bored out of their minds.
"So what do you wand to do?" asked Garble leaning back on a rock and scraching his belly.
"I don't know," siad a skinny purple dragon, "What do you want to do?"
All of sudden the lava began to bubble around a large purple dragon.
"Agh, Clump! Gross!" shouted Grable in annoyance.
"It wasn't me!" the brown dragon insisted.
All of a sudden the entire lake of lava began to bubble. Pretty soon the ground around the geyser began to shake violently, craking around it. The teenage dragons held on tightly as geysers of lava shoot up from the ground all around them. Then out of nowhere the spring they were soaking in violently erupted, spewing red hot lava into the air, and tossing Garble and his cronies aside.
As Garble and his cronies picked themselves up, they saw to their horror a monstrous creatue of Molten Lava rising from the spring before them.
"Wassup!" the monsterous titan belowed giving a peace sign, "I am LAVAN, the WALKING VOLCANO! Tremble before the BIG KAHUNA!"
All of a sudden every volcano the Dragon Lands erupted at once. Numerous dragons flew into the air desperately trying to escape. As the molten hot lava spewed around him, Lavan picked up a massive rock and boarded it like a surfboard.
"COWABUNGA!" The Titan shouted as he surfed the massive wave of Lava.
Meanwhile on Griffonstone
King Griff was sitting atop his castle basking in the sunlight, enjoying a cold drink. All of sudden it began to rain, much to his annoyance. Then out of nowhere the rain transformed into a monstrous monsoon. King Griff held onto side of his castle desperately trying to hold on, as his sun chair and umbrella flew away.
The panicked griffin looked up into the storm. To his horror he saw the storm clouds forming into the shape of a monsterous creature.
"Tremble before EREBUS, the LIVING STORM!" The Tian shouted.
The creature pulled out a massive guitar from the storm clouds. It's fickled it's tongue in the air as it jammed out, lighting flashing as it did so.
Abyssinia
All across the streets of Abyssinia, felines panic as their buildings collapse around them.
"The SPHINX is BAAAAAACK!" a citizen shouts out in terror.
High above the city streets a monster Titan with a body of a lioness, wings of an eagle, and the head of pony terrorize the city toppling buildings all around it. All of a sudden of bright beam of blue light shoots the beasts wings, causing the creature to wince in pain.
"Your reign if terror ends now beast!"
The Sphinx turns to the figures of Anubis hanging from the side of a building, Horus by his side.
"For today you face the might of Anubis!" the jackal says clenching his fist.
The Sphinx roared as Horus and Anubis leaping up into the air flying towards him. The beast reared backwards preparing for battle.
Mount Aris
Out on the shore of the island, numerous Seaponies transform into Hippogriffs desperately trying to make thier way to Higher Ground. Queen Novo snd her daughter Skystar fly down, inventing why some many creatures are fleeing Seaqueatia.
"What's going on?" the Queen asks a panicked citizen.
"Hu-buh..! Hu-buh! Yuuuuuuuhhh!" the newly transformed hippogriff cries out desperately pointing twoards water.
From out of the sea, a monstrous Kraken brutally out making it's way toward the Island.
"I am SQUIRK!" the monstrous Titan shouts, "Ruler of the SEAS!"
The Queen and her daughter watch on in horror as the creature begins climbing it's way up the mountain.
Changling Kingdom
High from their tower Thorax and Pharynx burst out of their palace to sound of screams. To their horror they witness a swarm giant bees swarm their kingdom, forcing innocent Changeling out of their homes as they take over their hives. Leading them all is a massive bee with a crown and a scepter.
"Tremble before QUEEN BUMBLE!" the Titan proclaims, "Ruler of all INSECTS!"
Kirin Kingdom
Numerous Kirin evacuate their cottages, packing their bags and fleeing in terror. Rain Shine tries desperately to lead her kind to safety, as she looks up at the large rustling coming from the forest surrounding them.
From out of the forest, the one eyed Spider Ahgg bursts out roaring loudly. The Titan makes it way to the marketplace quickly devouring all the food it can.
Yakyakistan
The walled city lies in ruins. From under a tarp, young Yona lifts her head up, quivering. She glance about trying to to see if the coast is clear. All around her, numerous Yaks lay about in the snow unconscious, their weapons completely destroyed.
All of a sudden Prince Rutherford leaps atop of her, pushing her head down. He pulls them both back under the tarp, hiding them both beneath the snow as monstrous footsteps slowly male their way towards them.
From out of the mists, a massive canine made entirely of stone appears. Crunch the Rockdog turns it's head about sniffing the air, it's face completely emotionless.
Yona hides cowers beneath Prince Rutherford, desperately hoping that the Titan won't notice them.
Farasi
Numerous animals flee as large purple slime with numerous faces slowly but steadily begins to cover the savannah. Out in their village, Prince Abraxis tries desperately to lead his people in building a wall around their home. The zebras, abada, ans kelpies work desperately to protect their home, but the situation seems hopeless.
From high atop a mountain Discord watches the scene through a pair of binoculars.
"Hey Smoozey," said Discoed handing his binoculars to his green friend, "Isn't that your brother down there?"
It is indeed the Purple Smooze, nut unlike it's green counterpart this one is pure evil.
"GrglbrglPop," the Green Smooze states.
"Your right," said Discord rolling his eyes, "He hasn't changed in a thousand years..."
A few weeks later in Tambelon
There was now a giant wall surrounding all of Equestria, Twilight was now looking out at it from outside the window of her tower, her friends all beside her. The princess was indeed sad about this entire arrangement.
"If only we'd have gotten those keys before Sombra," Twilight said blaming herself.
"Come on Twilight this isn't your fault," Flash said putting a hoof on her shoulder.
"Yeah," Applejack agreed "That King Sombra is as slippery as a eel."
"And his followers are pretty slimely as well," agreed Rarity.
"Well I say we should be out there helping Balius and Xanthos," Rainbow Dash proclaimed.
"I'm with RD," agreed Sorain "We've taken them on before! Why we out there fighting with the Canterlot Army?"
"Because we are needed here!" proclaimed Thunderlane "We can't leave Equeastira unprotected!"
"Oh, I'm just worried about all the poor creatures outside of the wall," said Fluttershy covering her mouth, "I hope they're doing okay."
"I'm sure they'll be fine," Said Pinkie Pie "And besides things can't get any worst right?"
"Princess Twilight, Captain Flash!" Spic N Span ran into the room. "Your both are needed in the throne right away!"
Within the Throne Room
Twilight and Flash entered the Throne Room to the sound of loud arguing.
A large table had been set up at in front of the Throne. King Nightlight and Queen Velvet sat at the center, with Shining Armor and Princess Cadance by their side. Cadance was holding Flurry Heart, trying to keep her asleep. All around them sat Queen Novo, Dragonlord Ember, King Panthera, King Griff, Prince Abraxis, King Toro, Chief Seabreeze, Chief Thunderhooves, Rain Shine, Prince Rutherford, King Thorax, and King Aspen, all of whom were panicking.
"What's going on?" Twilight asked in disbelief
"It's horrible!" Thorax shouted "Our kingdoms were all attacked by King Sombra and the Titans and we were forced to flee from our homes!"
"Yak sad!" Cried Rutherford while hugging Thunderhooves.
"Calm down everycreature," King Aspen stated, "This is now time to panic."
"That's easy for you to say!" King Griff shouted pointing an accusing claw, "Your deers are already safely within the wall!"
"That's right!" Countered King Toro, "As are the Buffalo Tribe and the Breezies!"
"Eet's naught arr fault wee leeve weethin the booundrees of Eeaquestria!" Seebreeze proclaims.
"What about the Crystal ponies!" the newley titled Dragonlord Ember pointed an accusing claw twoards Shining Armor and Cadence, "They have a magic shield protecting their kingdom!"
"Indeed! Why don't we have magic shields!" proclaimed King Griff!
"Our Magic doesn't work like that," explained Cadence.
"And it's not like the Titans haven't tried to breakthrough it!" said Shining Armor, "The Rockdog attacked us right after it attacked Yakyakistsn!"
"BwaaaahHaahHaaahaaaa!" Prince Rutherford cried weeping into Thunderhooves.
Cadence scoweled at her husband who smiled sheepishly.
"Send out the Alicorns to defeat them them!" King Toro said slamming his fist on the table.
"The Alicorns are no match for the Titan!" stated King Panthera, "They've already defeated Tikbalang, Horus, Anubis, and most of the Ennead!"
"And it's not like their not trying," said Queen Novo, "My Husband is already out their fighting them with the rest of the Canterlot Army!"
"Typical," said Ember rolling her eyes, "The Alicorns do all the work while the ponies hide safely behind their wall!"
"Well I don't see you out there fighting!" said Rain Shine bursting into flames.
The dignitaries all burst screaming at once, each one blaming the other for their current predicament. Twilight Sparkle couldn't take much more of this.
"ENOUGH!"
Every-creature grew silent as a blinding light filled the room. Twilight Sparkle was floating in the air, her eyes and horn glowing. As the light dimmed, she slowly floated down in front of all of them.
"If you ask me," said Twilight, "King Griff brings up a good point. Everycreature should be allowed behind the wall, not just the ones who happen to reside in Equestria."
"You want us to move our kinds into Equestria!" asked King Panthera in disbelief.
"Your joking," stated Ember.
"We did sign a treaty at the last COC pertaining to this exact situation," Pointed out Flash
"Indeed! Don't worry every-creature!" proclaimed King Nightlight "Just as agreed at the previous Convocation of Creatures, you and your subjects our more then welcome to in our kingdom until this whole thing blows over."
"Are sure about that King Nightlight?" King Aspen asked
"Well we're friends and what are friends for?" Replied Queen Velvet offering her hoof.
"That's not what I'm worried about," whispered Aspen, "Most of our kinds aren't exactly on good terms with each other. Putting them all in one place might not turn out well."
The other leaders glanced at each other for a moment. None of them seemed happy with the current arrangement.
Finally King Aspen took the hoof of the King and shook it.
Later back at Twilight's tower
Twilight was with her friends again. She sat on her bed nervously with Flash by comforting side her side. Everypony was trying to distract themselves from currently tense situation. Trenderhooves and Troubleshoes were playing poker, while Fluttershy and Rarity made tea. Thunderlane was pacing back and forward, while Rainbow Dash and Soarin distracted themselves with a Daring Do book. Applejack was baking an apple pies, while Spike was devouring gemstones.
Pinkie Pie and Cheese could clearly tell their friends were trying to hide their emotions,
"Come on everypony," Pinkie said trying to cheer them up "We need to look on the bright side! Now everycreature will be safe and sound here in kingdom where King Sombra and the titans can't get them!"
"Yeah and think about good relations we can have with them!" Cheese said
"Pinkie, Pie," said Said Twilight tensly "I think your forgetting one important detail.. They're reffugees! King Sombra and the titans have destroyed there homes!"
"Come on Twilight," said Pinkie Pie, "It's like Tikbalang said! Those bad guys will never get pass this wall, thanks to that magic force field they put in the center of throne room!"
"Yeah." Spike said "Knock on wood."
"You're kind of missing the point guys," pointed out Flash, "How do you think they're all going to feel after traveling hundred upon thousands of miles away from their homes."
"What's more," pointed out Thunderlane, "Now that there entering the borders of Equestria, where exactly are we supposed to them. There's only so much room here in Equestria."
"We could always build them new homes," stated Applejack on about her twelf pie, "But that'll take time we don't have."
"Plus," said Soarin, "How are we gonna keep these guys from tearing each other apart, they don't exactly get along well.
All of a sudden a knock at the door. Twilight used her magic to open it, revelaing none other then Prince Shining Armor. Princess Cadence, and Flurry Heart giggling from her carriage.
"Hey guys," Said Shining Armor.
"Hi BBBFF," Said Twilight "Hi Cadence!"
"Sunshine, sunshine ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" the two sisters in law then do their hoof sake.
Twilight then turned to Flurry Heart and said "How is my favorite Niece?"
Holding her muzzle and giggling was all Flurry Heart did, as she was happy to see her aunt again.
"She good and the rested wanted to see you guys," Shining said before frowning. "I just wish it was under better circumstances."
"Giving the current aituation and all," Princess Cadence said.
"Took the words right out of my beak," Said a new voice that came from the window.
The ponies turn to see none other then their Griffon friend Gilda.
"Gilda!" Rainbow Dash cheered as she flew to her "Great to see yeah!"
The two hoof/talon bumped.
"Gilda!" screamed Pinkie Pie pulling the griffon inside "These are the prince and princess of the crystal empire! This is Twilight's big bro Shining Armor, and this is Twilight's sister in Law Cadance, and this is Twilight's little Baby niece!"
"Uh...heh heh.." Gilda said nervously wacing her caw.
"It's a pleasue Gilda." Said Cadance with a smile.
"How are you enjoying Tamplon," asked Shining Armor
"Oh it's great," replied Gilda her face turn grim "I just love having to ditch my home because EREBUS turned it into a rock studio."
"Come on Gilda!" Said Dash "Your with friends now! And until the Titans are gone, you crash at my pad."
"Well that's great," said Gilda unconvinced, "But what about every the bird in Griffonstone."
"Oh it's fine," said Pinkie Pie hugging Gilda against her will, "This will be a great opportunity for them to make some new friends."
Twilight thought about this for a moment.
"You know what Pinkie and Cheese are right!"
"Wait," said Soarin, "Did Twilight just said that Pinkie and Cheese were right?"
"Think about it," said Twilight leaping up from the bed, "Up until now all the creature have been separated, never really getting a chance to know each other."
"So?" asked Trenderhooves confused.
"So.." explained Twilight, "Now there all in one place. This is an excellent opportunity for everycreature to form a much better relation."
"..And I can hang out with the dragon friends I made during the gauntlet!" cheered Spike "And come on what can possibly go wrong?"
"Um you guys have looked outside right?" asked Gilda raising an eyebrow.
"No, why?" asked Rainbow Dash.
Out by the Wall
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAARR!" A large red Dragon screeched breathing fire everywhere.
Out by the Wall at the edge of Equastria, it was madness. Royal Guards were struggle to get entire lines of creatures from every corner of the globe through the gates. The skies were filled with an air traffic jam as Griffons and Hippogriffs fought each other for space. Abyssnians were arguing with Minotaurs, as they tried to get their belongings inside. Kirins were beginning to catch fire, as Changeling cowered in fear at the chaos.
From up on a hill Gilda showed the Mane Six, Spike and the Stallions the chaos below.
"You just had to ask didn't you?" stated Soarin as he smacked this little dragon over the head with his wing.
"Didn't we post a Lieutenant to reign in this Chaos?" Flash asked Sentry asked Thunderlane.
"Sir," asked a panicked guard approaching his commanders, "With all due respect...I Quit! I can't take this anyone! It's a madhouse! A Madhouse I tell you! I turning in my Helmet!"
The guard tossed his helmet to Thunderlane and then ran away laughing hysterically!
"Come on everyone lets go check this out!" Twilight said as she dashed to the wall.
Twilight then flew down towards the wall with her friends behind her. Now floating above the angry mob she used a spell on her voice (Something she learn from Princess Luna.)
"EVERYCREATURE STOP!"
This caught the attention of every creature who turned to the Princess of Tamplon.
"Now can someone please tell what all this fighting about!?"
"Asked the dragons!" A Yak said "One of them burnt yak's fur and then made fun of how Yaks talk."
The Dragon in question was none other then their old "Friend" Garble and his buddies.
"I thought it be a funny prank and it was," the red teenage Drake, "And it Yak's fault Yak's talk stupid!"
"Typical Dragon," said an old a familiar looking griffon in a Fez, "Think the whole world revolves around them."
"Oh what you got something to say ya old buzzard," Garble said getting into Grampa Gruff's face.
"Darn Right I do!" shouted Grampa Gruff right back, "And I ain't too old to kick your scrawny tail ya overgrown salamander!"
"Overgrown..?" said Garble in disbelief, "Why i outhta!"
"Enough!" shouted a new roar as Dragonlord Ember came between them, "Garble! You should know better then to go picking fights with other creatures!"
"Come on Dragonlord Ember," Garble said "This what we dragons do. Once an Dragon, always an Dragon!"
"Some Dragon Loes!" snarked a skinny prurple Dragon, "Make a few pony friends, and you suddenly take their side."
"I hace not!" Dragonlord ember replied.
"That's right," said King Griff, "She's defending a griffon, so clearly she's on the Griffon's side."
"She's not taking anyone's side," said Thorax coming to Ember's defense.
"Um, am I the only one whose confused as to why the changeling are here," asked an Abysnnian, "Don't they eat love!"
"How dare you!" shouted out Pharynx, "We Chngelings have been love free for years."
The shouting and screaming started up again much to Twilight's dismay.
"I told you so," said Gilda floating up beside the Princess.
"Okay," said Twilight, "So this may be a little more difficult than I thought."
The Princess of Friendship floated down to her friends.
"Okay guys," Twilight said floating down to the group, "Huddle up. We have problem on our hands. How in Equestria are we gonna get these creature to get along befor they destroy the place?"
"Eh, they some time to get used to each other," said Trender Hoof, "I was fond of most you guys when we first met either."
"Ugh, Trender Hoof!" said Rarity in disbelief.
"No, he's right," said Twilight.
"He is?" said TroubleShoes confused.
"Oh course," said Twilight, "They need to get to know each other better. We'll round them all up and have the practice a few exercises in friendship."
"I'm not sure if that'll work Twilight," said Flash concerned.
"Trust me," said Twilight, "You're talking to the Princess of Friendship here!"
"That's all well and good," said Troubleshoes, "But I emphasize, Where are we supposed to put these creatures?"
"Well," thought Applejack, "TroubleShoes and I could rpund up the Apple Family. Together we could raise a few barns for these creotters to stay in..."
"And Trender Hood and I could search Tambelon for some generous souls willing to take in these poor unfortunate refugees," chimed in Rarity.
"Excellent!" said Twilight, "The rest of you boys can help the Royal Guard organize these creatures. We've got some exercises in Friendship to prepare.
Later that day.
Twilight, Flash Sentry and Spike had gathered the Dragons and Griffons into a large circle. The Dragons were all on one side, while the Griffons were all on the other.
"I want to thank you all for joining us here today," said Twilight.
"Like we had a choice!" Shouted Garble.
The dragons around him all snickered.
"Anyway," continued Twilight, "King Griff and Dragonlord Ember both agreed that few exercises in Friendship would help you all get along better."
"More like she bribed King Griff into forcing us to do this," whispered Gilda to a nearby griffon.
"Spike, please explain the rules," said Twilight to the purple Dragon.
Spike stepped into the center of the Circle holding a large stick.
"This is the talking stick," explained Spike, "Whoever's holding the stick get's to talk and express their feelings. Why don't we start with you."
Spike handed the stick to grey griffon that he knew all too well, blushing as he did so.
"I fell.." said Gabby as her excitement built up, "So excited to be staying here in equestria with all my new pony friends and getting to know all of you!"
Twilight and Spike both applauded. The griffons all rolled their eyes while the dragons all pretended to gag.
"Would any other creature like to share?" asked Twilight.
"Eh, I'll give it a go," said Gilda taking the stick from Gabby, "I feel stupid having hold this stupid stick."
"Uh, you're supposed to say how you feel about the dragons," explained Twilight.
"Them?" said Gilda, "They'd look stupid with or without this stick.."
"Wait? What did you say!" asked Garble standing up furious.
"Now, now," Said Twilight trying to calm the situation, "Gilda your supposed to say something positive about the Dragons."
"Okay," said Gilda, "I'm positive that theses dragons would look stupid with or without this stick!"
"Oh it's on!" said Garble leaping up into the air and wrestling Gilda to the ground.
Several of Garbles friends joined in, as dod several of Gilda's. Flash and Twilight tried to calm the situation, while Spike and Gabby held each other tightly in pure terror.
On the other side of the circle, a familiar orange was looking rather bored.
"Welp, this is lame," said Smolder matter of factly.
"Tell me about it," said a voice beside her.
Smolder turned to see an annoyed looking blue griffons sitting beside her.
"You wanna ditch?" Gallus asked her.
"Eh, why not?" Smolder said shrugging
Elsewhere
Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Cheese Sandwich had gathered the Hippogriffs and changelings into a large field.
"This is called a trust fall, explained," Pinkie Pie, "It's really simple, one creature falls backwards, and trusts the creature behind them to catch them.
Cheese Sandwich clutched his chest and pretended to faint allowing Pinkie Pie to catch him.
"You see," explained Pinkie Pie, "Now you try."
A tall sky blue hippogriff rolled his eyes and trotted his way over to another hippogriff.
"Ah, ah, ah," said Pinkie Pie, "You have to fall into a changeling."
"Yeah, that's no gonna happen," said Sky Beak matter of factly.
"But's how you prove you can trust each other!" explained Cheese Sandwich.
"But I don't trust them," explained Sky Beak.
"WHAT?!" shouted Pharyx confronting the Hippogriff, "What do you mean you don't trust us!?"
"You're love eaters," stated Sky Beak, "Need I say more?"
"I keep telling you we don't do that anymore!" shouted Pharyx angrily.
"You also shape shift so that you can impersonate other creatures," continued Sky Beak, "That's the exact opposite of trustworthy."
"You shape shift!" said Pharyx pointing at the crystal hanging around the hippogriff's neck.
"Changing from one species to another is completely different from stealing another creatueres identity!" said Sky Beak swatting the changelings hoof away.
More changelings and hippogriffs began to join in on the argument. Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich looked at each other nervously, while Fluttershy attempted to stop the fighting.
"Oh, please stop fighting every creature. Oh, let's just talk this out."
Off on the sidelines, a shy little light blue changeling cowered in fear at all the fighting going on.
"Hey, you okay," a pink hippogriff said flying over to comfort her.
"Um, not really," Ocellus said shyly.
"Yeah my dad can be so stubborn sometimes," said Silverstream comforting her new friend, "Ya wanna go somewhere less loud?"
Meanwhile
Down by the beach Thunderlane and Soarin had gathered the Yak's, Kirin, Zebras, and Abysninans into groups. Rainbow Dash was floating high above them floating back and forth.
"Alright every creature," said Rainbow Dash, "Some ponies might want you to sort out your problems by talking about them. But you and I bothe no there's only one way to work out your frustrations..."
The blue pegasus pulled out to large red rubber balls from behind her back.
"Dodgeball!"
"Hold the Phone, Rainbow!" Sorain said taking the ball away "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean hitting others with ball may do these guys more harm than good.."
"Pfft," Rainbow Dash replied taking the ball back, "Come on Soarin, what could go wrong."
5 minutes later...
It was all out war zone. Every creature was throwing balls at each other like there was no tomorrow. The Yak's were charging into battle with swords and shields, the Kirin were engulfed in flames, the Zebra's were casting spells, and Abnynians were just hiding in terror. More to the point, no one was folloing the game's rules of the Game. Soarin and Rainbow Dash looked down at chaos below and then at each other. Rainbow smiledsheepishlymas Thunderlane approaced her from behind.
"What could go wrong?" Thunderlane asked scowling.
"Why do we keep asking," Soarin said hoof smackinghimself in the face.
"Well how was I supposed to know things would go this badly," Rainbow Dash asked shrugging.
"You should have known that the Yaks are competitive then ponies are!" Thunderlane shouted, "The Kirin are bad tempered, the Zebras are sensitive, and the Abysninans are very easily agitated!"
"It's not like I'm a creature expert," RD replied "Who do I look like Twilight?"
While the thee pegasi continued to aruge a young female Yak was standing off to the sideline. Yona did like her fellow Yak's figjhting. As she sat sadly on the beach a familiar green pony colt trotted by.
"Oh hi," the colt said as held out his hoof "You must be new here. What's your name?"
"Yona," The young Yak replied as she took the hoof and shaking it.
"Sandbar," the colt replied, "So, what's going on over here."
Sandbar pointed over to the beach, where the Yak's and Kirin contiued to pelt each other with Dodge balls.
"Yona sad," the young Yak said, "Yak's only want to fight with new friends."
All of sudden they hear they heard a larfe growl and realzined it was Yona stomach.
"Yona hungry, too," the the young Yak said giggling a bit.
"Well my parents own restaurant just down the beach," Sandbar said, "I could take you there."
Yona looked at Sandbar confused.
"What retaurant?"
"Oh your in for a treat," Sandbar said leading her down to the pier.
Back at the Gate
The creatures were now arguing harder then ever. Dragons were picking fights with Griffins, Kirin were giving the Hippogriff the cold Shoulder, and the Yak's were angry with pretty much everybody.
Twilight Sparkle turned to her group of friend who all shrugged sheepishly. She then turned to the members of CoC, who glared at her.
"This is how you make things better!?" Firelord Ember said infuriated, "They're angier then they were when we left!"
"It is only there first day in Equestria," Twilight said nervoulsy, "These things do take time."
"Time is not something we can afford," said Queen Novo, "The situation with King Sombra is only getting worse."
"I appreciate what you were trying to do Twilight," said Thorax, "But maybe it's we keep our kingdoms sepersted while were here in Equestria."
"Agreed," proclaimed King Griff, "The beast thing we can possible do is stsy far, far away from each other.
Twilight and the others watch as the CoC members departed.
"Wait," said Twilight, "You can't! This is the best opportunity we'll ever have..."
"It's no use Twilight," King Aspen said approaching the Unicorn, "Our people never once been able to get along in the past thousad years...They're not about to start now."
Then the saddened Deer King left to join the others.
Back in Tambelon
Twilight walked the streets grimly, with Spike, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy behind her. The stallions had stayed behind to try and regain contoll of the situation.
"Don't fell bad Twilight," Fluttershy said trying to comfort her, "It's not your fault."
"Yeah," agrees Spike, "Rainbow Dash is the one who decided to start a dodgeball match, so it's really her fault."
"I said I was sorry," Rainbow Dash groaned, "What more do you ponies want from me!"
"I just don't understand why we can't get those creatures to get along," Pinkie Pie said confused, "Unicors, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies get along just fine and we're all different?"
"..But we're still all ponies," said Twilight saddly, "Maybe the other creatures are just too different."
"Helloooo," cried out a cheery voice.
The ponies all turned to see Rarity, Trenderhoof, Applejack, and Troubleshoes approaching.
"I have excellent news," proclaimed Rarity, "Trender and I have been all of Equestria, and we've found plenty of ponies willing to house our visitors during there stay in Equestria!"
"And the whole Apple family is out building new diggs for them to stay in the meantime," proclaimed Applejack.
"Well that's nice," said Twilight, "But you'd better build them fare apart, the refugees don't want anything to do with each other.."
"I don' know about that," Troubleshoes pointing a hoof twoards the beach, "Those critters seem to be getting along just fine."
The ponies looked over to see Sandbar behind the bar at his family restaurant, clocked in uniform. Around the bar sat Smolder, Gallus, Silverstream, and Ocellus, Yona all laughing and enjoying each other's company.
"So all of you are out of town?" Sandbar asked breaking the ice
"That much is obvious." Said The blue griffonp proclaimed.
"Dude, he was just asking a question, you don't have to be rude about it," Smolder said elbowing him.
"No problem," said Sandbar passing out drinks, " So we gottat grape soda for Gallus, root beer for Smolder, Orange soda for Yona, ice water for Silverstream, amd a smoothie for Ocellus."
Yona took a small sip of her Orange Soda and her eyes grew wide.
"This..Is..Best thing Yona ever tasted," the yak prockaimed leaping up on the bar in amazement.
"Well you don't to tell the world about it," said Gallus.
"We can't all afford fancy drinks ya good," said Smolder smacking the griffon on thr shoulder, "The best thing we had to drink in the DragonLands was molton hot Lava!"
"You should try breathing not but seawater for twentyfour hours," chuckled Sivelerstream.
"For most of my life," Ocellus said meekly, "I was forced to drink nothing but the love of my enemies..."
Everycreature stared at Ocellus for a moment snd then burst out laughing.
"Let me know if you need anything else," Sandbar said.
Twilight Sparkle could not believe her eyes.
"What is Equeatria is Going On!" she shouted zooming over to the young six creatures, "My friends and I spent all day trying to perform exercises that would help you all to get along, and all you did was argue!"
"Uh, yeah" said Gallus, "That's why we left."
"Also beacuse your exercises were lame," commented Smolder.
"Teehee, they kinds were," chuckled Ocellus.
"But..but.." stuttered Twilight in disbelief, "How can you possibly want to know each other now?"
"Because we want to get to know each other?" said SilverStream confused.
"You do know that it's physically impossible to force creatuers to be friends right?" asked Sandbar.
"Even Yona knows that!" said Yona.
Twilight thought about what they'd daid for a moment and then floated down with a sigh.
"You'd think that a princess would be able to realize that too."
"Huh I guess we were trying s bit too hard," said Rainbow Dash joining Twilight.
"Maybe we should have spent less time trying to help the them get along, and more time helping them get to know each other," agreed Fluttershy.
"That's we all became friends," said Applejack.
"Unless I'm mistaken, that's exactly what I said this morning," Pointed out Trenderhoof.
Rarity and Troubleshoes both smacked one of his shoulders.
"But what are we gonna do?" asked Spike, "The CoC are about to seperate the Reffugees forever."
"What!?" the young six all proclaimed at once.
"Yona no wanna leave you guys!" the Yak cried out hugging Ocelus tigtly.
"I don't wanna leave you gus either!" cried SilverStream joining in on the hugging.
Smolder and Gallus both groaned.
"Any other creature got a bright idea," the orange dragon asked.
"That's it" proclaimed Pikie Pie, "I know exactly what to do!"
Back at the Wall..
The large groups of creatuess were arguing more than ever, forming angry mops with picket signs. Thunderlane and Flash Sentry were trying to keep them seperated, while Soarin and Cheese were being crushed by the mob.
"..Help..Me.." Soarin croaked out weekly.
Up on the Wall, the Mane Six and Young Six had gathered behind a large curtain.
"Everycreature to your places," Pinkie Pie proclaimed holding out her clipboard, "We've only got one shot at this."
"Um, Miss Pinke," said Ocelus nervously, "We have a problem."
"I'm not doing it," growled Smolder to Fluttershy, "You can't make me.."
"But you have to," panicked Fluttershy, "The fate of Equestria rests on this."
"Hey Pony, I got this," said Gallus pushing Flutterhy aside, "Look Smolder, you hate that you have to this right?"
"Duh," growled Smoler.
"And you hate living in the Draglonds?" asked Gallus
"Yes?" said Smolder raising and eyebrow.
"Then I want you to go out there and be as sarcastic as possible," said Gallus, "Go out there and put your all into it."
Smolder thought about it for a moment.
Back dowm below the creatues were all still fighting amongst each other as the CoC attempted to sepperate them. All of a sudden music began to play drawing every creatures attention to the curtains up above.
The curtsins opened revealing Smolder, a huge scowl on her face as she began to sing.."
"Dragonlands"
"You lovely wasteland"
"Land of the lava and fire"
"Always the gemstone glowing"
"Always the volcanos blowing"
All of a sudden Silverstream popped up beside her.
"And the danger growing"
Yona joined in.
"Somra's army soaring"
Silverstream popped up beside her.
"And the Titans roaring"
Silverstream pulled out a pair of maraccss and started shaking them
"I like it here in Tambelon"
"I know you do," agreed Sandbar
"Take off your hat and put that on!"
From behind the stage Pinkie Pie opened the curtain revealing an elaboate set. Silverstream, Yona, and Ocellus began singing together.
"We like to be in Equestira"
"Okay, by me in Equestira"
"All creatues free in Equestira"
"Not what I see in Equestira" stated Gilda rolling her eyes.
Silverstream went backstage and pulled out Rarity and Applejack hugging them tightly.
"Haning with ponies is so nice"
"One look at us and they turn to ice" shouted out Garble.
"Lot's of new places for us to see" sang Ocellus
"Back home was always fine for me" gronar Pharyx
The mane six and joined in as the set grew showing off all the excitement of Equestria.
"Flowers that bloom in Equestira"
"Pegasus zoom in Equestira"
"Fireworks boom in Equestira"
"Not enought room in Equestira!" all the creatues below shouted
Yona and Silverstream led a group of creatures down the streets of Tambelon
"Lots of new places with more space"
"Till they slam the doors in our face" a griffin pointed out.
"Tasty new new dishes with ice cream" sang Yona
"Gemstones were always fine for me" groaned a dragon
"Life can be bright in Equestira" sang Twilight
"If you don't fight in Equestira" snapped Garble
"Life is all good in Equestira" boasted Rainbow Dash
"If you have hooves in Equestira" said Gilda rolling her eyes.
The members of the Mane Six and Young Six began dancing together. As they watched this some of the Yaks, Hippogriffs, and Changelings began to join in with them. The dragons and griffons simply rolled there eyes. Seeing this Spike and Gabby began dancing togehter too. Suddenly some of the griffons began to feel bad. Noticing this, Gilda shrugfed and joined in with a few other griffons.
"Equestira"
"La, la, la, la, la, la, Equestira"
"Equestira"
Pretty soon all of the creatures were dancing together in the streets of Tambelon, except for the dragaons.
"Here you friends and you have pride" sang Gallsu
"Long as you stay on your own side" shouted the dragons.
"Free to do anything you choose" agreed Sandbar
"Free to sing songs and and play horse shoes" sang out Garble sarcastically
"Everything's fine in Equestira"
"No dirt or slime in Equestira"
"Terrible time in Equestira"
"You forgot I'm in Equestira" said Smoder smacking her brother on the back.
The other teenage dragons began to chuckle at rhis annoying Garble.
"I think I'll pack up an go home"
"Good luck getting there alone" shouted put spike
"Bye, bye!" The girls cried out
"Everyone there will give big cheer!" Proclaimed Garble
"Everyone there will have moved here" poined out Smolder with a smile.
The rest of the dragons began joining in on the dancing. All except for Garble who was grumbling to himself, with only smolder to comfort him. As the dancing continued, the Flash sentry and rest of the stallions led CoC up the street. The noble were supprised to see their peoples getting along for once.
"We like to be in Equestira"
"Okay, by me in Equestira"
"All creatues free in Equestira"
"That's waht see in Equestira!"
As the singing and dancing stopped, Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the mane six turned to look at the Convocation of Creatures. The leaders looked at the smiling unicorn, and then at each other. They quickly huddled up together and began whispering to each other. Finally they seperated.
"We have come to an agreement," proclaimed King Griff.
Twilight Sparkle leaned in intently with the rest of the mane six, and even the young six close behind her.
"...That was not the worst performance we've ever seen," finished King Griff.
"However we still have numerous concerns about our peoples associting with one another," continued Queen Nova.
"And we fail to see how this little song snd dance has changed anything," finished Firelord Ember.
Twilight and the mane six frowned and nearly collased.
"Are you kidding me!" shouted out Smolder storming up to her Dragonlord, "Do you have any idea how hard we worked on that? And now your just saying it's over."
"Look, no creature is saying this is going to be easy," agreed Gallus, "What we are saying is that we're all in the same boat here.."
"And things will be a lot easier here in Equestria if we work together rather than being forced apart," agreed Ocellus.
"More to the point, some of us would actually like to make new friends with other creatures," agreed Silverstream.
"Yona already made friends," the Yak said hugging Sandbar.
"And the ponies of Equestria would be happy to have all of you," agreed Sandbar
The CoC members looked at each other again. Finally King Aspen stepped forward.
"Perhaps the wisdoom of the younger generation, outshines the ignorsnce of the older one," the Deer King said, "Our peoles have always remained divide, nd King Sombra took advantage of that. It would be foolish pf us to sperated now when we need each other most."
"I agree," proclaim King Thorax.
"As so I," stated Rain Shine.
"So do the Abyssinian," chimed in King Panthera.
"Yaks also agree!" Shouted Prince Rutherford.
"As do the Zebras," said Prince Abraxis
"The minotaurs are also in," said King Toro flexing his muscles.
"I suppose that counts us in as well," said Queen Novo.
"Us too," smiled Dragonlord Ember.
Everycreature suddenky turne to King Griff who was the one who hadn't spoken up.
"All right," groaned King Griff in annoyance, "The griffons are in for cooperation and friendsip as well."
Later at the soda stand
Twilight and Flash were sitting in town together having some sodas.
It had been a long day. After the CoC members had all reaced an agreemend, Flash had orderd the guards along with their friends to lead all the creatures to there new homes across Equestria, as well as checking in on any other problem they need solved.
"Well that was a mess," said Flash, "But we worked it out.
Suddenly the stallion noticed that somwthing had twilight down.
"What is it Twi?"
Twilight sighed
"It this whole thing. You saw how everycreatures was almost at each others throats this morning. I never realized how bad relationships were between the kingdoms. As bad as things are with King Sombra, I'm afraid if we don't find a way to get everycreature to work together, we're going to habe an entirely different war on our hands."
Flash just sat there thinking fora moment and then noticed something that made him smile.
"I wouldn't be to worried about that," he said pointing Twilight in a certain direction of the Soad Parlor.
"Okay so you move like this," said Sandbar
He was showing Yona how to dance over by the jukebow. Yona followed his steps shaking the ground and Sandbar with it. Silverstream and Ocellus lauged as they watched while Smoder and Gallus simply rolled their eyes.
"What a bunch of dorks," said Gallus.
"Yep," but they're our dorks said Smolder sipping her soda.
Twilight smiled at the sight.
"Besides," said Flash, "Your the princess of the Tamplon. You'll figure it out. After all you've saved Equestria more then once.
"True..." said Twilight, "But I didn't do it alone."
"Right," agreed friend, "You had me and the rest of our friends, but we also had you. I mean you're the most brilliant, amazing and beautiful mare I have every met."
They both blushed at Flash's word. The captain of the guards coved his mouth with his hooves, unable to believe what he just said. Twilight stared back at him also unable to believed his words. Suddenly with her heart running with her head she replied.
"Well I know I can't do it without our friends and You. The bravest, strongest, and most handsome stallion I've ever met."
At this point, both their faces were redder then a tomato.
Finally they both whispered in unison, "Thanks."
Suddenly but searliy their faces drew closer, staring deeply into each other eyes their muzzles were inches away from each other...
"GUYS!"
Flash and Twilight pulled apart too see Pinkie Pie popping up between them. She was followed by Applejack, Troubleshoes, Rarity, Trenderhooves, Fluttershy, Thunderlane, Cheese, Soarin, Spike, Gabby, Rainbow Dash, and Even Gilda. The two ponies sighed as their friends came in to join them, relieved smiles on their faces.
