Going through an airport to take a plane back to New York wasn't easy when you had metal in your bones. For James, he had it in his claws, but Logan had it worst given his entire skeleton was coated in Adamantium. It did make James laugh when his father had been searched but they couldn't find anything, and not even the annoyed glare from the Wolverine dampened James' amusement. But eventually they got on the plane and were soon back in the States.

Right now, they were taking a car to the home of the X-Men, Bayville High School. James raised a brow at that but figured it might as well be a good cover to hide what the X-Men really do.

"So, who's on the team?" James asked his father, curious as to who he'll be working with.

"Well, there's me of course. There's Storm, who can control the weather. You've got Scott Summers AKA Cyclops. He blasts energy from his eyes so he has to always wear sunglasses, even indoors." Logan said.

James snorted at that. "That's gotta be annoying. Does he sleep with them on?"

Logan shrugged. "I'd assume so. He opens his eyes without anything to cover them and boom."

Jame conceded to that. Still, that had to be both useful but annoying. But hey, at least he has an excuse to always wear sunglasses. "Who else?" He asked.

"Kitty Pryde AKA Shadowcat. She can phase through just about anything." Logan then saw his son raise an eyebrow amusingly and rolled his eyes, guessing what he was thinking. "Her clothes stay on."

"So no free show?" James got a smack on the back of the head for that. "Ow."

"Reign it in. I got enough teenagers and their hormones to deal with." Logan huffed, then continued where he left off. "Next is Evan Daniels AKA Spyke. He's Storm's nephew and can project boned spikes and projectiles from his body."

"Sounds like the name suits him then." James chuckled.

"Next is Kurt Wagnar AKA Nightcrawler. He looks like a blue demon, but he can assume a human look. He can teleport around the place." Juding from the annoyed huf that Logan let out, it's clear to James that this Nightcrawler may have annoyed his father with the teleporting. "Next is the most recent addition to the team, Rogue. She can absorb one's abilities, strength and memories through skin-on-skin contact, though it doesn't seem pleasant so she makes sure to not come into contact with anyone."

James winced, letting out a low whistle. "Damn." To never touch people because your powers could potentially kill them? That sounds like a living hell to live.

"And finally there's Jean Grey. She possesses advanced telepathic and telekinetic abilities." Logan said, finishing off the roster of X-Men members. "And then you've got the professor."

"Chuck?" James asked amusingly, since his father always called the man that.

Logan chuckled. "Yeah." He then looked ahead and shifted. "We're here."

James looked out as they came up a driveway and stopped in front of a building that looked like a mansion. And this was a school? The place was located right next to the ocean and next to the woods. A perfect place for peace and quiet. James could get down with that, he did enjoy having his moments of peace and quiet.

'Here's hoping nobody disturbs me during those moments or it ain't gonna be pretty.' James thought as Logan slowed the car down to a stop in front of the mansion. The father and son then got out and made their way to the front door.

"Do we announce ourselves or something?" James asked.

"Nah." Logan shook his head and just pushed the doors open. "Chuck will already know we arrived the second we passed the gates. He'll have informed everyone else. That's the annoyance of having a telepath in the room."

"I heard that, Logan." Charles' voice said in Logan's head, getting a smirk from the Wolverine. "Nice to know you're letting him already have a first impression on us."

At that moment, a brown-haired girl walks into view. She is wearing a turquoise shirt that exposes her stomach, she also has light brown, almost khaki, cargos with a matching brown belt and light brown pumps, she also accessorises with a necklace that has a red pendant.

Her eyes lit up when she saw the new arrival. "Hi, Mr. Logan. New guy?"

Logan crossed his arms. "Yeah, kid. James, this is Kitty Pryde."

James shook her hand, smirking a little. "So you can go through walls, huh."

"I can." Kitty nodded with a smile. "So what can you do?"

James simply raised his fist and let his claws come out, causing Kitty's eyes to widened as she saw the very same claws that Logan had. She looked towards the man who nodded, guessing what she was thinking.

"W-Wow." Kitty breathed. "So... is all of you in metal?"

James shook his head as he retracted the claws. "Just the claws."

"I'm glad to see you're getting along." They looked over to see a bald man in a wheelchair arrive, accompanied by a African-American woman with a tall and curvaceous figure. She has long and wavy white hair which she wears freely down her back and blue eyes. "Hello James. I'm Professor Charles Xavier. Welcome. This is Ororo Munroe also called Storm."

"it's nice to meet you." Ororo smiled at him. "I do hope that you don't share too much similarities to your father." She gave Logan a look. "It's bad enough trying to keep the alcohol hidden before someone underage finds it."

Logan simply shrugged. "A man's gotta drink."

James snorted. "Doubt you'll see too much similarities, aside from our abilities." He remarked.

"Now James, try not to get too concerned over anything." Charles advised, "Take your time, settle in. No one's judging you, we don't judge people here. Though we do have rules here and we expect you to follow them"

James nodded. "Right, rules. You should probably go over them"

Charles looked at Kitty, "Kitty, would you please show James his room and show him the ropes"

"Sure thing Professor, follow me." Kitty said going up the staircase.

James followed her.

"Well for starters, since what we do here is like supposed to be a secret we try to keep it that way. So that means we can't openly talk about what goes on here or use our powers in public unless it's like an emergency." Kitty said.

"Because the world doesn't know about mutants right?" James asked, thinking to the few times he exposed his powers to people. Meh, they were probably branded as crazy for seeing a 'teen with claws coming out his hands'.

"Yeah, and bringing people over is kinda taboo. Because as soon as an outsider shows up everyone would have to act normal and we want everyone to be comfortable at all times" Kitty said.

Kitty opened the door to a room, "Here you go"

The room was about the same size as his room back home so there was plenty of space.

"Since school starts at eight breakfast is at seven." Kitty said. She then gestured for him to follow her and continued the tour. As James was looking around he heard a BAMF! and saw someone appear out of nowhere from the corner of his eye. On reflex, James let his claws come out and pressed the perpetrator against the wall with the claws inches from his face.

"Ahh! Don't! please!" James blinked as he stared at the person. His skin was blue, he had yellow eyes, and he had a tail wiggling behind him. Before anything could happen, Kitty quickly cut in. "Woah! Easy, James. This is Kurt, he teleports around."

James looked at her then retracted his claws. "Sorry about that, it's instinct."

"Remind me not to do that with you ever again" Kurt said, then looked at James curiously. "Why do you have claws like Wolverine?"

"He's Wolverine's son." Kitty revealed, causing Kurt's eyes to widen before he looked at James who simply nodded while crossing his arms. "Only thing is he doesn't have a metal skeleton like his dad. It's just his claws. Anyway, the tour continues. We'll see you around, Kurt."

"I'll see you later." Kurt said before teleporting away.

Kitty showed James pretty much everything, they started with everyone's rooms. They didn't actually explore the rooms, more just glanced at the door so they didn't invade anyone's privacy. Then they went on to the kitchen and dining room. Then they went in the lounge and the rest of the ground floor.

After that they went in the lower levels, Kitty told James the password to the elevator since he was going to live here now. She showed him the infirmary and the gym.

James was impressed with how much gear they had in there.

"And last but definitely not least... the Danger room." Kitty said.

At the moment, they were inside the Danger room, getting a better look from the inside.

"Danger room huh? What does it do exactly?" James asked, curious.

"We train in here. The Danger room can produce highly advanced defense mechanisms that help us understand and improve our mutations. Also it can create a simulated world for more advanced training." Kitty explained.

"Kind of like a fake world?" James asked.

"Yeah, except it can't make anything that can kill us, it's against the programming." Kitty replied.

'I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun in here.' James thought with a smirk. So far this place hasn't appeared too bad. it was possible that it could become a permanent home for James, after spending so much time moving from place to place.

Sorry for there not being much in this chapter, but I figured I shouldn't dump everything in at once. But in the next chapter, James meets the rest of the X-Men, and that means he meets Jean and pisses Scott off.
