jesseazzopardi54: Here you go.
Guest: here it is.
Mando-Vet: Glad to hear it.
Guest250: That wouldn't work.
Guest: Do you really think Jakob would allow them to hunt Fenrir and his children? Jakob is on good terms with Fenrir, so he wouldn't allow him to be hunted.
Barbatus Lupus Rex: Thanks.
Marcelo: Duh.
Guest: No, it's JUST Thalia.
Dragonrule: She'll be a slow-burn. I can't have EVERY girl in Jakob's harem instantly fall in love with him.
sniperbro1998: Damn right.
Daua002: Well, I'm still planning out Magni and Modi.
Guest: Yep.
Spiral-Voltron-Zero0Q1: Oh hell yeah it is.
hellfire45: I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Bromega2477: Hmm, good quote.
superpierce: it's a start.
reguluscorneas1: nah, this is Jakob's fight. He knows what his uncle is capable of.
Mrmarcusj95: Well, considering Baldur is anothe rgod interfering and whatnot, I doubt the Laws would restrict Artemis from being involved.
AlexBeowolf2: Well, Jakob does have his rage as a Fatal Flaw, and he is terrified of becoming exactly like his father. But it is possible for him to be pushed over that edge.
blueassassin996: Hell yeah.
Disclaimer: I do not own God of War or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own the OC Jakob Thorsson.
Jakob was frozen in shock as he stared at his chuckling uncle. Three years... three years of going without being noticed by his family, who had been looking for him no doubt and now they've finally caught up to him. If Baldur was here, then who else was with him? Magni and Modi most likely, those two will do anything their uncle puts them up to. And Jakob knows his brothers wouldn't resist the chance to face him. But where were they? Jakob shook that from his head focusing on the more bigger threat than his dimwit brothers.
"Jakob..." Silena stepped closer to her boyfriend, eyes on the man who was watching his nephew. "Is that actually...?"
"Yeah." jakob said quietly, giving a short nod. "It's my uncle."
Baldur chuckled as he slowly began to pace. "You've been busy haven't you, nephew." He stated, his eyes looking over the demigods that were with him before they landed on Artemis and he hummed. "Of course, you'd hide in the territory of a much weaker pantheon. And here I thought the so-called Goddess of Maidens would die than be in the company of men."
Artemis glared at the Aesir. "This is not your territory, Aesir. Begone."
Baldur just laughed. "And here I thought your kind was supposed to be enlightened. So much 'better' than us. So much 'smarter'." baldur said mockingly while taking a few steps towards them, causing the demigods and Goddess to tense. "But relax, I'm not here for you. I'm here for my runaway nephew."
"Uncle, just please leave." Jakob said, his voice shaking. With rage or fear, he didn't know. He didn't know what to think being face-to-face with a family member after three years. "Just go back to Asgard."
"Now, you know I can't do that." Baldur said, taking a few more steps until he was close to his nephew. "You've been gone too long, Jakob. The All-Father demands your return home. you and that traitorous head you carry around."
"Better a traitor than one of Odin's lapdogs." Mimir spat from where he dangled at Jakob's hip.
Jakob swallowed before he stared his uncle firmly in the eyes. "I'm not going back. I refuse. And I have more important things to do."
"What, rescuing that idiot, Apollo?" Baldur chuckled while Artemis looked angry. "Oh yes, I know all about that. Didn't have anything to do with it, right enough, not really any of my business. This whole thing is between you Olympians and Titans, I'm just here to bring my runaway nephew home so he can face punishment for leaving Asgard."
"I'm not going back." Jakob growled, glaring at his uncle. "Go home."
Baldur stepped up and got right in his nephew's face. "You are gonna have to kill me for that to happen." He muttered darkly, then delivered a punch to Jakob's face, only snapping jakob's head to the side. Baldur then threw a second punch at the face, followed by two at the stomach, then one at the head again before going for the face but Jakob caught the fist in time. "I warned you."
Baldur rolled his eyes, barely wincing as his arm was twisted to the side. "Finally."
Jakob pulled his arm back and clotheslined his uncle, sending him to the ground. Jakob rolled his shoulders and arms, resolving himself to this fight, before he glanced at his companions. "Stay out of this. This is between me and him."
"We can help-" Thalia started but a look from Jakob silenced her.
"You really should learn to accept help, Jakob." Baldur said, causing Jakob to look down towards his uncle just as Baldur cocked his fist back. "My turn!" With a hard, and more powerful punch, Jakob was sent off his feet and into the air.
The Son of Thor grunted as he hit the ledge of a rooftop and then went crashing down into Central Park. He groaned, rolling onto his side, and slowly getting back to his feet.
"I felt that one, brother." Mimir remarked.
"Shut up." Jakob muttered before he heard a swoosh of air. Instinct snapped in and he rolled to the side just as Baldur's knee came crashing down where he had just been. The God of Light stood up straight.
"How incredibly disappointing." Baldur tutted mockingly, then gestured for him to bring it. "Come on, then!"
Jakob gritted his teeth and charged at his uncle who met his charge head-on. Nephew and uncle cocked their fists back and drove them forward, landing their punches in each other's face which knocked them back a little. Jakob was quick to recover, knowing that his uncle would barely feel anything he does to him which means this would be a more challenging fight. He would have to find a way to temporarily put Baldur down so he could get away.
Jakob tackled his uncle, the two of them going crashing through a tree. Baldur rolled them over, gripped Jakob by the collar of his top and then yelled as he threw him through several more trees. Jakob slid to a halt in the ground, forcing himself to lean against a downed tree trunk, but quickly jumped to the side to avoid his uncle's follow-up punch.
"Pointless!" Baldur shouted before he was punched in the face, then Jakob drove his knee into his uncle's face, followed by a backhand that sent the Aesir God rolling across the ground. Drawing the Leviathan Axe, Jakob swung it and got it embedded in Baldur's stomach, then swung him around before launching him across the park and into a pond. A good thing no mortal had seen today as a good day to take a walk in Central Park.
Baldur came out from the pond, spitting water out of his mouth and laughing. "Is that all you've got, nephew?! Is this all my dear brother has trained you to do?!"
"Shut up!" Jakob snarled and shot his hand out, unleashing a blast of lightning that Baldur took head-on while running towards Jakob. The Son of Thor had to quickly stop the beam and duck a punch from his uncle, but yelled out in pain when Baldur, encasing his arms in light before slamming it to the ground which unleashed a shockwave that shot towards Jakob, hitting him and sending him rolling back. As Jakob got to his feet, Baldur landed a knee to his face, then went for a punch but Jakob ducked underneath, wrapped his arms around his uncle and took him down to the ground MMA-style.
Getting on top of his uncle, jakob brought down fist after fist on the God of Light, who just laughed as his nephew's punches got harder and more powerful, the ground cracking and breaking underneath them from the force of the demigod's strength.
"More! More! Come on!" Baldur goaded his nephew on, then caught his fists before delivering a headbutt that made Jakob back off. Grabbing him, Baldur landed a big uppercut that sent Jakob into the air. Baldur leaped after him, tackling him in the air. As they started to descend, the two threw punches at each other, Jakob about to gain the upper hand, but Baldur pressed his feet into Jakob's chest and sent him spiralling right back down to the ground with a heavy impact that kicked up dirt and grass.
Baldur landed not too far away and strode towards his nephew, then pressed his foot down on his back hard, causing Jakob to yell out in pain.
"Baldur, let him go!" Mimir shouted desperately. "Take me instead, I'll do whatever you-"
Baldur kicked the head. "Shut up!" The God spat, then started raining down punches onto his nephew. "You have become a big disappointment, nephew! After everything you've done for Asgard, you couldn't stomach it anymore?! Are you even your father's son?" He stomped on Jakob's back, getting another yell of pain from Jakob. "Do your friends even know the things you've did as one of the enforcers of Odin's will? Do they even know what you used to be called? Murderer, destroyer, but my personal favourite... Bringer of Death."
"Shut... up-gah!" Jakob yelled out upon getting a kick to the ribcage, sending him onto his back.
"If you won't come back to Asgard willingly... then i will drag you back." Baldur growled, about to grab his nephew when an arrow struck the side of his face, mkaing him back off before he heard a yell and looked just in tome for a lightning-infused fist to meet his face, sending him into a tree that toppled.
Thalia panted before she ran to Jakob's side and started helping him up with Silena. "Jakob." the daughter of Aphrodite said.
Jakob looked up and saw his companions had arrived. "I told you not to interfere." He grunted.
"Right now, your uncle is in the way of me rescuing my brother. This is our matter just as it is yours." Artemis countered, aiming her bow to where Baldur was getting up. She charged an arrow and fired it into Baldur's chest before it exploded, sending the God of Light flying back.
"We can help, Jakob." Annabeth stepped forward. "We're in this together."
"He's getting back up." Grover warned them, seeing Baldur getting to his feet.
Jakob looked at them, seeing each of them strong in their conviction and determination to fight. He sighed, and reluctantly nodded. "Don't get in too close. Baldur is immune to everything you inflict upon him. And he is stronger than most of you, only Artemis and I can take him on at close-range. I need to find a way to temporarily put him down, giving us enough time to escape. Annabeth, Silena, Thalia, Zoe, go for hit and run tactics. Grover, use Satyr magic to try and slow him down if you can. Artemis, you're with me. Shoot arrows at him while I get in close, then we take him on."
Though she didn't like being given orders, Artemis understood that jakob would have more knowledge on his uncle, so she nodded in acceptance and everyone broke off to do their assigned tasks.
Baldur shoved a tree off him and got to his feet just as Thalia came in with a yell and stabbed him with her spear then quickly backed off as the Go dof Light stepped towards her only for Annabeth to stab her dagger into his back then kicked off him, sending him into a spinning high heel kick from Silena.
"You little brats!" Baldur snapped, raising his arms while channeling his light magic into them, only for an arrow fired by Zoe to hit him in the neck, stopping him temporarily. Jakob then flew in with a lightning-infused dropkick, sending the God of Light into a punch from Artemis.
Baldur groaned as he started to push himself up, only for jakob to grab him and get around him, wrapping his arms around his head and neck while pulling him down to the ground. Baldur struggled in his nephew's grasp, delivering an elbow into his side to break his hold but jakob was quick to grab him again.
"You... will... never be able to hide from us, nephew." Baldur grunted as Jakob gripped his head. "We will find you and-"
With a snap, Jakob broke his uncle's neck and Baldur ceased his struggles, going still as if he was dead but Jakob knew better.
Shoving his body off him, Jakob got to his feet, recalling the Leviathan Axe to him and hooking it on his back. "Let's go." Was all he said to his companions who quickly followed him. "We need to get out of here. Make him lose our trail for now."
"How do we do that?" Silena asked her boyfriend.
"Hey! Over here!" They heard and looked to see a Yggdrasil gateway open and standing there was...
"Sindri?" Jakob blinked.
"Yes! Now hurry up before he awakens again!" Sindri urged them.
"Go! Now!" Jakob pushed his companions on, making sure they went in first before he went last, and the gateway closed as Baldur's eyes came to life.
And that's it for this one. I hope the fight was good enough. I had to consider how the others would fare against Baldur, and I know the only ones that could take him on were Jakob and Artemis, but given Baldur is invulnerable to everything, it would drag the fight out. Jakob knew that he had to temporarily take out Baldur in a way that would give them time to escape, so snapping his neck was the only way to go.
But this is not the last we'll see of Baldur.
