Ghost Spider and White Fox had just saved civilians who were trapped in a train that was about to fall off the rails. Everyone was placed on Ghost Spider's giant web.

"Is that everyone?" The spider yelled from below the railway tracks. She escorted people to the safety of the concrete ground.

"You must see San Francisco they said, there's no superhero action in San Francisco they said", an overweight man grumbled.

"All clear!" White Fox spoke as she pushed the train back to the rails in her fox form. Ghost Spider always gawked at her partner in her majestic fox form. It always felt better than looking at angels. As the Kumiho walked off the railway bridge, she shifted back into her regular form (fox ears and tail remained).

"Wow! That was awesome!" A man came up to the spider. "You're amazing…hey, I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime—"

"Sorry, but she has plans", White Fox made a gritted grin and pulled Ghost Spider away, who found it odd that the fox lady made decisions for her.

Gwen was at a café, ordering for her and Ami, "I'll take the Mocha with sprinkles and the expresso".

"That'll be twenty dollars".

"What?! That's too much!" Gwen said with outrage. "This system is such bull—"

"I'll pay if that helps", a young man offered. He already handed his credit card and the barista accepted. Gwen stared at the man.

"You didn't have to do that…"

"Well, I couldn't just stand by and see a pretty lady get cheated on her bill", He grinned. Gwen laughed softly. "I haven't seen you here before, are you new in town?" He asked.

"You could say that…", she answered as she held her ordered caffeine. "I gotta get to my table now".

"Hey, you should thank me for paying for you, by telling me your name".

Crap, she couldn't do that for several reasons. Despite the man being so nice, she shouldn't be naïve. "Uh…my name is…"

"None of your business", Ami spoke from behind the man. "Don't you have better things to do than hitting on girls who are already taken?" She glared as she folded her arms, and then walked to Gwen, snaking her arm around her elbow. As they walked to their table, Gwen placed the warm drinks on their table.

"Uh…care to explain?" She asked. Ami took her expresso and blew on it. She then moved to Gwen's side and sat right next to her.

"Explain what?" She hummed coyly. "That guy was going to take advantage of you. I wasn't going to let it happen on my watch".

Gwen was texting her friend Hobie, a new message made her giggle. Ami came into her apartment and frowned. "Hey Gwen, who are you texting?"

"A friend named Hobie", she answered briefly. Ami was unsatisfied with that reply so she walked to the kitchen to cook a meal. She nearly growled at the sight of the blonde blushing at another text message. She wished she could strangle this 'Hobie' for interfering with this quality time. She quickly pretended to focus on her cooking the second Gwen glanced in her direction.

Once the cooking was done, Ami placed the dished ramen on the coffee table. "So…you seemed to enjoy texting this 'Hobie' guy".

"Yeah, he's a very close friend. Pretty wild like me".

Ami hummed at that, then switched on the television. "The relationship is purely platonic right?"

"Yes, I never really thought about dating him but then again we understand the whole punk rock theme".

"I like your taste in music", Ami protested. Gwen looked at Ami with a baffled face.

"Yeah…I don't see how that's relevant…", Gwen frowned, then didn't understand why Ami glared and turned away pouting. "What's wrong?" She asked, realizing that she had offended the vixen.

"Oh, nothing. I'm not as interesting as the guys who hit on you".

Gwen had her mouth in an open curve with furrowed eyebrows, "Where did that come from?"

Ami muttered something in Korean that Gwen could barely hear. She had no idea why Ami was acting so…

"Why are you being so moody?" Gwen realized, Ami just glared at the blonde in disbelief, as if Gwen said something moronic.

"You're so dense", Ami groaned. Gwen just switched off the television and turned Ami to her. She looked serious.

"Okay, I don't know why you are being so immature. On the train, at the café AND right now, I was texting my friend. What's your deal?"

"You want to know what's my deal? You are being inconsiderate! You say you aren't interested in dating but then you let men seduce you!" Ami stood up and put on her wig. She walked to the front door and walked out, leaving Gwen baffled and upset.

Why Ami was controlling was beyond her. Her love life was her business, nobody else's. Hopefully, she'll calm down about it.

The next day, Ghost Spider met up with Tiger Division in Seoul. Usually, Gwen would look forward to being in South Korea to discuss tactics and strategy and hang out with Ami. Today she wanted to avoid the white-haired fox woman. "Hey, Ghosty?" Luna Snow called. "Are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh yeah! I'm just practicing my aloofness," Gwen quipped. Well, I better ask you to head back to the USA. Criminals must be begging for a beatdown by the friendly hooded ghost spider." She wished she could've turned around faster until…

"Did you cheat on Ami by any chance?" Luna frowned, Ghost Spider found that to be so random.

"What-we weren't dating…where did that come from?"

"You weren't? But I thought you were", Luna said in surprise. "The way she looks at you, and how badly she wanted you to join Tiger Division…that's something she'd never do with platonic relationships".

"…She…when? Why?" Gwen stammered. Luna giggled as she saw the female spider's mask make a pink blush line.

"Why are you asking me? Go ask the vixen"

"I can't now that you dropped the bomb on me!"

Luna made a sly grin, "Never thought I would see you so nervous and shy"

"Luna!" Gun RII walked in, "I thought you wanted Ghosty to date Boss Lady, now you're stealing her huggy buggie?"

"Wait a second…Ami told all of you?! You all wanted us to date?" Gwen furrowed the upper lines of her lenses.

"Luna was the one who figured it out and told me, then I told Lady Bright who told Tae-Won who told—"

"Why don't you tell the whole agency then?" Gwen grumbled sarcastically, "Where's Ami now?"

The robot and cryokinetic looked at each other with thoughts of mischief. "She went to the training room," they answered in unison. Gwen turned to walk off, but then she retraced her steps and looked at the two with curiosity.

"Huggy Buggie?"

Luna and Gun walked back to their team room, chuckling in amusement and Gwen decided to go to the fox that was possessive enough to create embarrassing pet names.

Ami was fighting a punching back ferociously and with so much steam in her chest. She punched it so hard that her fist went through. Once she was done, Gwen was about to speak but noticed something.

Ami was in her training outfit, and it was a bit tight and sweat glistened on her skin. The sight of her almost made Gwen forget everything she was planning to say.

"Like what you see?" Ami spoke once she drank half of the water bottle and Gwen flinched but cleared her throat.

"What's there to like about blowing of steam?" Gwen dragged a laugh but then sighed at Ami's glare, "So…you like me right?"

"More than you're willing to like me back"

"And…I made you jealous because guys were being nice to me?"

"Those guys were nice to you for predatory reasons" Ami stated which made Gwen roll her eyes.

"And here I thought you were the hottie in the duo" Gwen sneered with the wisecrack and Ami grabbed her towel and started walking to the showers.

Ami became more offended "If you refuse to not be an inconsiderate jerk then kindly leave the room, I'm sure there are other people more clueless than you to hang out with"

Gwen grabbed Ami's right arm and the Kumiho only turned her head to acknowledge the blonde. Gwen had already dematerialized her hood and mask, she looked at Ami with seriousness. She opened her mouth to say something but her eyes seemed like ones of someone terrified.

"Ami…I…why?" Gwen stammered before making a deep inhale and exhale, "I would never date those guys because I…they wouldn't understand me"

Ami's furious gaze began to soften, "I understand you" she spoke and Gwen was unconvinced so she let go of Ami's hand only for the fox to hold it. "Don't doubt me, I do not pretend to love people for malicious reasons so I will be by your side to protect you"

Gwen wanted to say she could take care of herself but then processed Ami's next words:

"I will protect you for as long as I love you"

Gwen would have started joking or run away but Ami was making the face of serious declaration. She seemed to be pleading as well as being vulnerable. Even Gwen knew she needed to reciprocate but couldn't think of anything to say.

Ami started moving closer and Gwen's face was almost completely pink, "Ami…I was never into those guys because…I don't"

Ami's lips started brushing Gwen's lips and then pressed against each other until…General walking, making Gwen and Ami flinch.

"Miss Han, have you seen Seol Hee's hairbrush? She lost it again—oh…did I just interrupt something?" He asked as he noticed Gwen burying her face in her hands and Ami glaring at General. He walked out the room and went to look somewhere else.

"My luck…"

"I will make sure you are used to it then" Ami smirked and Gwen looked at Ami with a flustered expression. "I'll do it on live TV if I have to" She said as she walked to the showers. Gwen chuckled,

"That's funny Han" Gwen laughed, "You almost sound serious…that was a joke right? Right?"
