Astral had chosen to leave Athenia, the kingdom of magic, and come to the human realm for a reason—she was tired of the fairy life. The rules, the responsibility, the constant expectations of being the future queen. She needed something different, a chance to experience the human world before making her decision. But now that she was here, things weren't as easy as she'd thought.
For one, her magic was practically useless. She couldn't use it openly in front of anyone. Only Morgan, Devon, and her cousin Brendoni knew about her powers. And right now, Devon, the human she was stuck in, had no idea what he was getting into. He didn't know he was half-fairy, and probably wouldn't get any of the powers that came with it. But that didn't stop him from arguing with her nonstop. For days, they had been bickering, two completely different people in a completely new world. Neither of them was happy about it.
After one particularly heated argument, Brendoni had decided to step in and put an end to it. He had an idea. "I know how to fix this," he'd declared. "You two need a little *perspective.*"
"Perspective? You've been giving us that for days," Devon snapped, clearly frustrated. He was sitting on the couch, his head in his hands.
Brendoni grinned mischievously. "Trust me, you'll see. It's a smoothie. Drink it, and you'll both understand each other better. It'll help you walk a mile in each other's shoes."
Astral raised an eyebrow. "A smoothie?" she asked, suspicious.
Brendoni just shrugged. "You'll see," he repeated, his smirk widening.
Without giving either of them time to protest, Brendoni handed them each a glass of the strange liquid. Devon hesitated but took the glass from Brendoni. He was curious, and anything was better than more arguing. Astral reluctantly drank from hers, annoyed but still curious about what would happen next.

Hours Later*
Astral groggily opened her eyes, feeling... strange. She sat up, trying to gather herself. The world around her was different, and she felt an unfamiliar heaviness in her limbs. But as she attempted to move, she felt *something* strange. She wasn't the one floating.
Turning her gaze, she saw *herself*—*herself*—floating in the air, several inches off the ground, with wide eyes filled with confusion.
"Wait... what the heck?" the other Astral muttered, her voice sounding groggy. She flailed her arms, clearly trying to control the sensation. She wasn't floating with grace like Astral usually did—no, this was pure chaos. She flailed, hovering helplessly, before finally crashing down to the floor with a loud thud.
"Well, now I'm awake," the other Astral groaned from the floor, rubbing her head. Her confusion quickly turned into frustration as she sat up, looking at Astral in complete disbelief. That's when Astral realized that it was *Devon* who was looking at her, and then she realized that if Devon was her, then she must be *Devon*.
They both froze for a moment, the realization dawning on them.
"Oh no," Astral muttered under her breath. "We switched bodies."
Astral couldn't suppress a snicker. "Welcome to my world."
Devon shot her a glare. "This is ridiculous," he muttered, standing up, still disoriented. He brushed himself off, his eyes still darting around the room. "How am I supposed to control this?"
Brendoni appeared at the doorway, grinning. "Well, you two better get used to it. You're stuck like this for a while."
Astral turned toward Brendoni, frustration building. "Brendoni, you *did* this! Why didn't you warn us?"
Brendoni's smirk didn't waver. "I thought it would be fun to let you two *figure it out* yourselves." He shrugged. "And, like I said, it's a learning experience."
Devon groaned. "This is not the *learning* I had in mind."
Astral sighed. "Well, you've got a *lot* to learn, Devon."
The two of them exchanged a look of mutual frustration. They were stuck in each other's bodies, and neither one had any idea how to fix it.
