Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Fanmake EP 18 Part 1
We come to a darkened room with very little light. Deviot enters the room looking around, he was trying to see the occupant who was waiting in here.
"Dr. Crane? Hello? It me, Deviot. I know you're in here, we need your help or rather Scarecrows help in the next duel." Deviot states and see Crane walking up "You ever think about redecorating, I get the whole fear stuff but could add some track lighting."
"The darkness helps with my preparation in administering ones fears." Dr. Craine explained "And also as a faithful Servant of Teridax I know the darkness can only be illuminated by the Dragon Star. How can me and my fear persona be of service?"
"I'm so glad you asked." Deviot said grinning "Director Toffee needs Scarecrow's hypnotic powers to tap into the mind of a possible Signer. He personally asked me to thank you for throwing your first duel with Shockwave to end up in the losers bracket but now he needs you to let Scarecrow come out and perform."
Crane smiles as on a nearby table lay a brown sack like mask that resembles the face of a scarecrow which he picks up. He then asked "Who shall I duel?"
We then come to Blaze doing a victory lap around the track after winning her duel against Steeljaw, who pretty much took Demyx's place in the Emerald Cup tournament.
"Blaze beat Steeljaw." Iroh said with a smile.
"Yeah, looks like she's moving on to the semi-finals." Grievous said with a nod.
"Oh man, I wish I can be down their and duel her." Ashe said to Caspar smiling.
"She's good, but Blaze learned her best moves from yours truly." Caspar bragged acting confidant.
"Oh?" Lysithea said and asked smirking "And where were those moves when you lost in the first round?"
Caspar groans and looks down depressed but then a thought crosses his head and he smirks chuckling and said to his step-sibling standing up "Wait, I was playing you, which means you lost." Lysithea looks at him confused "As far as the millions of people watching, I didn't lose a thing."
"That's the last time you duel as me!" Lysithea declares annoyed as she repeatedly hits Caspar who laughs.
"We have a special announcement!" Chris said getting everyones attention "Yes! The rumours you heard are true! Listen up first round losers, don't head for the exits just yet! Toffee, our master of ceremonies has set up a losers bracket for the first round! That means if you lost grab your deck because you might get a second chance to duel again!"
This surprised Lysithea but Caspar gets excited. Then four hologram screens above the duel arena appear showing the four losers being Lysithea, Nylocke, Steeljaw and Crane.
"All right! My Emerald Cups not over yet!" Caspar cheers.
"Um…technically…" Ashe began to say.
"Save your technically for the blogs Ashe." Caspar told him.
"Uh….what Ashe means is my name is up there." Lysithea points out to her brother. Caspar groans
Meanwhile with Blaze she parked her Duel Runner at the garages and got off, she overheard the announcement as she removes her helmet. She looks up to the tower in the arena where Toffee was and thinks 'What are you up too, Toffee? You're not the type to give second chances unless you're going to get something out of it.' She walks off
Back in the stands Caspar was humming while going through his Morphtronic deck. He smiles as he said "Now just you watch, I'm going to win for certain this time Lysithea." He laughs he then asked "Oh, do you still have that wig I was wearing before?"
"No I don't have it, find it yourself." Lysithea told him.
"Oh come on Lysithea!" Caspar said but the conversation stops as the lights in the arena go out.
"Now, take your seats, we're about to give two of these dualists another opportunity!" Chris announces smiling "First we drew two fairly lucky players and I assure you it was random, okay? And first up is….everyone's favourite white haired girl! She's fast, she's feisty and she has to be home before her bed time! Give it up for the next generation of duelling superstars! Ladies and gentleman I present to you…Miss. Lysithea!"
Caspar excited stands up but then a spotlight shines down on Lysithea who was surprised at this as everyone else was.
Blaze who was in the locker room heard this and looks at the TV screen in the room which showed the surprised Lysithea with the spotlight on her.
"Lysithea's duelling?" Blaze said surprised.
Robo-Roxy standing by the doorway gives a grinning look and said to the cat "I'm guessing they finally got the right kid for the match, huh? You know, by the end of the duel we had I didn't think the human boy was half bad. I can't wait to see what his stepsister's got" She then walks off.
Back in the stands Lysithea nervous said "I can't duel."
"Can't duel? But Lysithea, it was your name on that invitation." Grievous points out to her "You belong here."
"But I'm her, she can't go out there and duel!" Caspar called out.
"Caspar…I'm afraid that the jig is up young man." Iroh points out indicating that Lysithea was on the view screen orb via live feed and the audience were cheering and chanting her name "The crowd wants your sister."
"I can't." Lysithea said and added "You guys don't understand, something strange happens to me whenever I duel."
"Oh, not again" Caspar said board as he sits down "Are you going to start that stuff about Duel Spirits? You're getting a little too old to play make believe."
"It's not make believe and if the only way to prove it is by going out there…" Lysithea said and Caspar hearing that looked surprised "Well I guess I better go out there and duel."
"Okay but if you win, I get to be you for the next round!" Caspar said excited.
"Wow, thanks for your support Caspar." Lysithea said sweatdropping.
Lysithea then gets out her duel disk and stands up, with the spotlight following her she makes her way down the stairs going from the stands to the field. The crowd cheers.
"Good luck, Lysithea." Iroh said smiling then he looks at Caspar "Now Caspar, what's this about your stepsister hearing Dual Spirits?"
"Oh, it's nothing." Caspar said with a shrug.
"You sure?" Iroh asked concerned.
Caspar nods smiling and said "She always does this, we'll be duelling and then she's all like this…" He then said in a voice imitating Lysithea "'I feel funny! Hear that it's Dual Spirits'" Then in his normal voice "She's just afraid I'll beat her."
Grievous concerned said "I've seen some weird stuff then…"
"Oh, come on!" Caspar said cutting him off "If that were true, then…well…I don't know but Lysithea would be a whole lot more important then she is!"
We then come to Predaking watching on a monitor Lysithea making her way to the duel field. He closes the feed and looks to Toffee asking "So, tell me why you think she's a Signer Toffee?"
"Well, for starters the D-Tector-Inator picked her out of the crowd." Toffee begins explaining as the image from the feed during the first match appears "And trust me, she's a lot more important than anyone knows. Even her own step-brother. Once she duels Scarecrow, then we'll know without a doubt. Let's see if Doofensmirtz is ready to monitor her." He snaps his fingers.
A live comm comes on to show Doofensmirtz back turned and bent over as he sings
Doofensmirtz: Going fast, makes me feel alive
My heart beats
He stops and looks to see Toffee and turns around and the scentist said "Huh? Oh Director! Heinz Doofensmirtz reporting for duty sir!" He then holds up his D-Tector-Inator and points to the reading measure that was nearly out of the blue and approaching the red saying "Just look at this!" He points to the third line which was yellow and explained "If the needle exceeds this yellow section, there is no doubt our little Lysithea is a Signer!" He spinks "and more Signers mean more energy! And energy means more Ener-D! And then we'll have enough to…"
Hearing enough Toffee hangs up on him. He then tells Predaking "He really needs to get out more." He then holds out a holo-screen with a news article with a picture of Lysithea when she was young and said "Now there's another reason we've been studying this little girl. 8 years ago she was admitted to a special hospital saying she could hear Duel Spirit voices." He slides the holo screen to Predaking for him to look at it.
"So, she had quite the imagination." Predaking said and looks at it as more images are show, one of her with Caspar where she was in bed as her step brother brings her a bear and another with her passed out on the ground as he parents and Caspar look concerned.
"It's a little more complicated than that." Toffee tells him and explained "Predaking, she was a dualling prodigy and beating our greatest professionals at the age of 3. Then one day, she suddenly collapsed during a dual and fell into a coma. No one knows why, not even the best doctors. In fact…there was only one person who'd believe she'd wake up again." He brings up the camera feed image showing Caspar "And that was her step-brother Caspar. And then for no apparent reason, she woke up healthy again a month later."
"That's a great made for TV movie of the week Toffee, but who cares?" Predaking asked as another holo screen was slide to him.
"You should care, Mr. Predaking." Deviot said entering the room. "What got our attention was what she said when she woke up. She said that she wasn't asleep, she said she spent that entire month in the Dual Monsters Spirit World."
"And I'm a Cyber End Dragon. Come on now." Predaking said in disbelief.
"Funny, but we have reason to believe she told the truth." Deviot tells him "For instance, she knew of the ancient Dragon Star legend." He begins typing on a holo-panel "In fact, she knew of some things we did not. Vital clues to unlocking the mystery of the people of the stars" He looks at a mascaline of the Condor as he continues "And more, like the incredible power of Bahamut."
Predaking takes this all in. Toffee nods and said "But a few days after waking, her memory began to fade like it was a dream. Now she remembers nothing of the spirit world. Leaving us one choice, make her duel and go back to that world. Only then we will learn if she is a Signer." He looks at the feed of Lysithea right now and added "And with her help we can unleash the Platinum Dragon so we can save our troubled world." His hand touches the screen and it goes static.
Well that is intersting but soon we see what Crane aka Scarecrow plans to do soon.
