I reached into my pocket and took out the selfie of the 2 dognappers that wqe had acquired as intel… but something was strange and not right about that. But… If this is a selfie of the 2 dognappers… then WHO WAS THE CAMERA? At that late and last hour, I knew there was someone close to me working with the dognappers… a traitor in our/my mist.

On the way back from Prazil we took the government's private jet. It was flying more than 1000. As we flew out the window I saw the largest and most pitcheresk of America's monuments, Mt. Rushmore. From up here I could see George Washingman's bald spot and I could even see a letter in the pocket of president taft and wondered what it said and who wrote it. Histories Mysteries I guess. I was amazed at how it also showed off the amazement of nature, a tree drencged mountain showing America's finest, built right into mother nature and among the rivers and animals and dirt. I smiled and soluted all the presidents, even the ones I didn't like that much, because I respect our country, and also because I respected America's Biggest Naturals Monument (ABNM).

I had to think about that later though as we landed the plane and I hurried to school, luckily I could make it today because we were on block scheduling.

Before school started, the senior project team meat in the morning. It was been several weeks now and we needed to check the brogress and it was coming ALONG. That's why I recruited only the smartest for this senoir project.

Oh but before I forget, we were going to be interviewed by someone from the school paper about our work so far and right on queue there was a knock at the door and a little guy walked in.

"Uhh hey everyone, I'm Billy (William) Spencer from the paper. You guys mind if I ask a few questions?"

"YOU JUST DID!" said one of the team which sent a roar through the crowd. We lined up tallest in the back, shortest in the front, with me at the center since I was the team presitent. Billy tested his old recording equipment (the journalism dept needs FUNDERING) and held it up at me.

"When do you guys think you guys are gonna be done?" he asked, still laughting to himself about the joke.

"Later this year, said one of the guys tightening a bolt. Everyone including Jamie looked like they were working really hard. There was a lot of metal and wires and a game controller hooked up to them, and when the 'on' button was pushed, two metal-lec robot legs stood up and began walking around. Billy raised a couple of eyebrows and took a big note. Billy's next question would stump us.

"Hmm… building it from the ground up… smart. Does it have a name?"

I smiled and opened my mouthy to nod when Alec chimed in from up on a ladder, "Yes but we haven't come up with it yet" he said carrying the wood over to the bench. I got so mad with Alec stealing my thunder and I took it personally.

"Great, and how is the robot going to be?"

Before Alec could cut me off again, I raised my arm over my head to show about how high I was thinking and that did it for Billy. Billy started to move his hand a lot back and forth with his pencil in it and I could tell he was taking very detailed notes. Cutting straight to the truth of the matter; a man after my own heart.

"Do you feel like everyone is wokring equally hard on it" Billy knew every question to ask but this one had special extra meaning for me beacuase. My fingers were rubbing on the thing in my pocket, the polaris of the dognappers, and I looked around to see if anyone looked suspicios. Right now everything seemed fine so I just went back to working.

"What is it based on?"

"Oh I can answer that" says Jamie while tweaking the motherboard. "It's based on the designs we have." and he held up the skemantics.

"Now, Fern, one last question: Will this be the best senior project ever in the history on Blue Meadows High?"

I could only answer with a resounding smile that told leagues of information, so deep and direct that it was as if an entire veil was contained within, and that told Billy all that he ever needed to know. The entire room cheered and emotions were at an all time high!

And then it was time for lunch.

I got my favorite table next to my friends Ben Patrick Ralph and Tony again and Jamie and we all were talking about our days, nights, and weekends.

"So Fern, did you go on another one of your 'weenend vacations'? Your looking a little tan" said Jamie. I smiled and actually did reach for my phone to show the group one of the pics I took when flying over ABNM. Now I actually have seen 5 of the 7 wonders of the world (mt rushmore, big jesus in rio, the pyramids, the great wall, the sixteen chaples, billabong rock, and the unknown one in antarctica) for my bucket list. The only two I haven't see yet are big jesus and i've never been to antarctiac.

They passed my phone around and gave it back while I looked down at my food and took a bite. Today my lunch was something a littel different; turkey and cranberry sauce, pizza with a pepeperoni , a sloppity joe as the school called it, and an ice cream cone. On my fork, I tried to get a bit of every major and minor food group and took a big bite. Just then, Jessica arrived.

She ran over and without a word leaned in to kiss me and even though we had obviously done this dozens of times, I still felt myself getting a excited in my little bones. Soft moist lips simmered and sparkled and they were pink from her lipstick color. She had them scrunched tight for a good kiss, and after I appreciate her beaity and headshape, her lips gently found mine on my face and she latched on. Wow. I could feel my head filling with ideas of how I could love her and fill her too with my love, and her tongue entered and held down my to ngue. She had my attention by the B LL$ and no matter how life twisted and twerked em. she held on. A few minutes later we let go and could finally catch everyones breaths.

"we'll never get a chance with her, will we?" Ralph asked Ben under his breathe with a laugh, and I knew he was joking because if he wasn't, he would learn to fear me.

"Hey Feee~eee~eern" she said, I have a surprise for you!" Jessicas words echoed in my heart and i couldn't hear anything anymore

I mentally closed my eyes and used my intuitive mindscape to replay the day from every angle leading up to this point, in hopes that I could get some clue that would tell me the surprise. It wasn't her birthaday, or mine, so a surprise party was all but impossible. She also didn't have But all I was coming up with was my worries and concerns that someone I know, someone near and deer to me, was the traitor. Could it be the knife that would twist most deepest intwixt my ribs, the deepest betrail that in my life would run my rivers red with horrors unknown? Could Jessiba be about to reveal herself as the traitor?

But before she could answer, we were all distracted by a commotion comeing from else were in the lunchroom. I could overhear a conversation - not even by using my keen spy hearing, but just because the people were talking so loud!

"I canm't believe it" said a guy tro a girl and actually there were a bunch of people who all looked mad at this one girl.

"What a fucking freak. A degernerate. I hate her." Some members of the student console were even there and I was SCHOCKED to hear them talk like this..

Jessica was looking too along with the rest of the school and she sad "What are they mad about anyway?"

They were holding up the girls phone in the air and I DID use my spy glasses to zoom to see some really RACY pictures but I looked awaty to protect Jessica. I felt like I could be about to maybe do something when…

"Hang on guys, I got this" said Tony in a moment of braviary. He got up and ran to the middle of the group. "Why are you all making fun of her anyway?"

No one wanted to hear what tony had to say "THis girl is discusting, she was going to send these nudes!"

Tony smiled at them and for a second I thought he was going to say something really cool. Instead he held up the drawing he had been working on "Just leave her alone guys, only people who haven't sent any nudes can throw stones!"

I don't know what he thought would happen but suddenly everyone was PELTING him with rocks! Throwing them at him from all angles while booing him over and over. We hjust stared at the scene ensure of what to do. But then I saw Nick and Mike walking into the lunchroom and they and I crossed eyes. Jessice turned to them and shouted "can you guys do something" but Nick and Mike were already springing into action, just like I expect they would so I didn't need to say anything. They ran up to Tony.

"I said CALM DOWN" Nick said as he grabbed Tony by his shoulders, he picked him up and threw him over a balcany railing in slow motion, he fell right onto a lunch table full of food that cracked in half when he fell through it before he hit the floor with a thud.

I had to admit it was an unconventional approach but it worked, Tony was exfil'd from the situation and was no longer being pelted with rocks. THe crowd of rock throwers went to class so we decided it was probably a good time to make sure Tony was fine, and he seemed glad to be done with all that.

"Wow… I think that added a couple bones if you know what I mean…" Tony coughed up and sluttered. Nick and Mik e dusted him off of the food (crackers, watermelon, beans, a variety of deserts) and told him to get to class.

"ugh, I probably deserved that!" When Tony said that my blood ran cold. Why did he mean by that? I mean, my brian was still firing on all the sillendars about the selfie in my pocket and as I finger its cool exterior one more time, I put 2 and 2 together and wondered… could Tony be the traitor? But I couldn't ask that, not at this time, in front of the rest of my friends and Jamie. Still, Nick and Mike and me shared a knowing look that they knew what I was thinking and I did too.

Later on in the day, it was gym class and we were doing the various gym activities. Some kids were running, others playing basketball and shooting up back and forth. I was off to the side but a basketballer rolled up to me and I caught it in my hands.

"Yo baller, you know you gotta shoot! Take a big run and make a big hoop!" One of the guys rapped at me.

"If you slammin, dunk it! If you slammin, dunk it!" The other guys were doing the chorus and I was pumped.

I looked up at the net and smiled. I dribbled the ball ones or twise and then started to ran with all my might toward the open goal. I wound up for my jumper, but then suddenly I tripped right before I leaped. I went to do a slam dunk but the only slam dunk I did was my face right into the ground! How embrassing…

"Looks like you whiffed big time Fern! Better check yo face for a rugburn." the guy rapped again boastingly. I just laid there, face down on the court, but then I heard leather shined shoes walking up and standing in front of me.

"Ferdinand J. Gully?" said the man and I looked up at him. He had on a black suit (Goochi) and dark glasses and it was obvious that he wasn't here for any kind of game. I got up and nodded and we made our way over to the bleachers. On the way, he introduced himself.

"Daniel Stone, CIA" said Daniel and pulled out his badge to show me. I hadn't ever heard of this guy and he could tell.

"I know, that's my expertise." He stopped smiling and looked stern and took a breath and "Ferm. You have to know what this country needs. It needs soldiers like you, ready to lay down your life to-" He started in on his whole recruitment schpeal and I was already over it. I didn't know how to explain to this man that I preferred to be a independent agent, free from the rules and ethics of the CIA, so I put it as simply as i could from my mouth:

"No."

"I told ya" coach said over stone's shoulder. Stone just looked at me and I could tell, evn behind those dark shades, that he was disappointed in my answer.

"Well Fern, we can't say I didn't expect that. Still, you know where to find us if you ever change your mind." He stood up and walked off across the floor. The CIA was known for being persistent. Like flies to a dinner. He stopped and turned back.

"ONe more thing, kid. Be careful who you trust. In our line of work, you're never off the clock…" He was right. My crew… my squad… my friends… they meant everything to me, and I would not give them up for any reason. Even if there is a traitor in our mist, I will figure out what is going on, and I will save the world.
