Welcome to the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, but before starting. Let's answer some reviews:

altajir95: Thanks. It was fun writing those reactions to the Chief Valkyrie of all people getting engaged despite being the one who spent the most time alone while meeting her parents. Yeah, their rematch will be postponed, with Brynhildr instead fighting her old friend and partner. Thanks, I did think that would be a cool Sacred Gear to add. I'll continue doing that.

Guest: That sounds like an interesting idea for a Fem OC who is close to Asta and Yuno, while connected to the Clover Royal Family. Yeah, that King needs to be replaced, seeing as he serves no use other than a figurehead no one is controlling at this point.

shephawk: That would be an insane thing for her to do against an opponent. I do know those Valkyrie are among the hardest fights, both in-game and visually.

Issaabushreef12: Thanks. It's fun writing their interactions and I plan a lot more in the future. I like those kinds of characters too due to that hidden part of them that adds more to their character. Yeah, Kensei has enough self-awareness to know NEVER to mention a woman's age.

Yeah. Geiravör is the one Kensei fought before, his fiancee's closest friend, partner, and rival, joined by another Mazoku, Amagiri Toshiko with an interesting Sacred Gear. I do have something planned with the Mazoku and what his attempt at saving them would be. Yeah, that's going to be something for them to deal with after being saved, the guilt of murdering their parents. The saddest thing is that they're conscious of what's happening.

That's close. Both their sword and spear represent their bond in the figurative and literal sense, with the significance of using them against them being "unique". I do have something planned with Geiravör and also Kazuo as characters and it's good to hear you don't hate her character in both senses. Yeah, that is how Arata sees most people, even wanting to revive a Primordial God to end everything, which also goes to show what he sees people as.

It's fine, it does show that you're looking at characters from a different perspective, being the abused and abusers manipulated to do certain things in their grief or weakest moment. It is a realistic thing that does happen a lot in real life.

Thanks and I'll continue doing that.

Guest: Thanks. I do have something planned for Sigurd in the future.

That is an interesting idea for one in the Blue Rose Squad, doing her own thing and having a unique trait about herself.

The Great Battle

After the confrontation with Geiravör, Brynhildr, Kensei, and Mimir went to inform Odin about what happened. During their preparations, he stood beside Rossweisse to head to the Underworld in the next couple of days. Surprised by them, the Chief God met with and listened to what happened with a rare surprised look, while his bodyguard looked stunned by what she heard.

"I see, so Geiravör came back. And is working with the same group that Kensei is dealing with. …that is a lot to hear about."

"Geiravör-san."

Rossweisse stated, unable to consider that as a possibility.

"Did you know her, Rossweisse?"

Kensei asked.

"A lot of the Valkyrie, me included all looked up to Geiravör as much as Brynhildr as a role model for what kind of Valkyrie to train to become. She did so much for the Norse Faction that people still talk about what she did as a Valkyrie-in-Training."

Rossweisse replied, still thinking of the stories she listened to about Geiravör.

"That's true, which makes this hard to believe. It was none that Geiravör was going for the position of Brynhildr, and said if she didn't then she would leave and go about her life. No one thought she would do anything bad due to her personality. And, none of the gods would have denied her having a high position whether or not she turned out to become the next Brynhildr."

Odin replied, with them seeing a rare moment for him being serious and surprised about something like this.

"Hah. It still doesn't make sense, that girl loves her home and even if it's another faction, she wouldn't do anything to put shame in the trust people put in her," Mimir stated, scratching his head. "Plus, she didn't attack anyone or didn't take the right outside of that old arena, which contains any damage inside of it. It's obvious that the Lass didn't want to involve anyone."

"I know but it's hard to imagine what's going through her head. It's been a long time since anyone heard from her and even then her doing this might not turn out well for her."

Odin stated, depending on the situation, knowing the kind of situation this could lead to.

"Well, if there's anything that I know it's not to underestimate the kind of lengths that Arata would go through to get what he wants. In the two times I met her, she wasn't malicious or hateful. It seems as if she was doing the job assigned to her. As strong as she is, I don't doubt that she could have done more damage than this. Even then, it looked as if she hadn't fought in a long time."

"That's true. It seemed as if she hadn't fought, the main reason she could fight as well as she did was because we both know how each other fights. But, it doesn't change the fact that Geiravör didn't use Mardöll."

"That is something. Both your Thrungva and her Mardöll are weapons tied to each other, meaning clashes would transmit your thoughts to the other. I could use that the convince the others to not escalate things before knowing what her reasons are," Odin stated, talking to them as if he were handling things to either ostracize or demonize Geiravör before seeing the full picture. "Brynhildr, what do you think about this?"

"…," Brynhildr looked down, knowing that Odin asked this as she was the closest person to Geiravör. "If she's taken that kind of path, then I'll fight her as our promise to each other if either of us became Brynhildr and protect the honor of the Norse Faction. But, I don't want to give up on Geiravör, because I know the kind of person she is and wouldn't be doing this without a reason."

Brynhildr stated with a strong tone that showed her belief in her old friend and partner while showing them that she'll do whatever it takes. Hearing those words caused Odin and Rossweisse to smile, with Kensei and Mimir also joining in.

"That's good determination, Lass," Mimir stated, placing a giant hand on her shoulder, before turning to Kensei. "Lad, you talked about this Arata. So, is there anything you can go on about this?"

"Well, as I said, he'll use anyone and anything no matter what it is to get what he wants. He'd taken being spiteful and petty to the limit with what he was doing with Yami and Hikage. He'll drag down all of Japan just to get back at Shintoism for what happened to Mei. And it's for that reason that he'll use any method and manipulation to get people to do or give him what he wants."

Kensei replied as the group around him thought about what that could mean.

"Could it have been for her Norse Magic? Geiravör is someone who rivaled Brynhildr in terms of magic."

Rossweisse suggested.

"No, if that's the case, he could have learned it from any of the Dwarves that abandoned their home for Yami. It's also too small of a reason to recruit her. Plus, the knowledge has spread enough that it'll be easy to learn a thing or two on Norse Magic."

Odin stated.

"Wait, the Dwarves?"

Brynhildr stated, thinking about something.

"What, Sigrún?"

Kensei asked.

"There was still some left when the Dwarves made my Thrungva and her Mardöll from the fragment of the Yggdrasil. It was a big enough piece that Geiravör kept it as a keepsake. Among the things that Arata could have gotten from her, that's the one thing I could think of."

Brynhildr replied.

"I see. Making a weapon from the Yggdrasil's wood isn't a common thing, almost all the Dwarves gathered to see that and knew Sigrún let Geiravör have it," Odin stated, knowing the Dwarves gathered to see those weapons made from the World Tree's wood. "But, I doubt simply making a weapon would be of much use. By a wide margin, the Dwarves could make or enhance anything as long as they had proper materials. "

"Well, what else could it be, Lord Odin? The Yggdrasil is the biggest source, the discarded roots and wood are small pieces of the whole. Niðhöggr became such a troublesome Dragon able to revive himself because he consumed the roots."

Rossweisse stated, with them knowing that Niðhöggr was a troublesome being who relentlessly gnawed on the World Tree without question. None of them wanted to turn from the chance seeing as it was the closest lead that their group had.

"Wait, then could it be to enhance someone else, instead of a weapon?"

Mimir suggested.

"But, enhance who? Niðhöggr was a unique case, as no one in their right mind would try to eat from the Yggdrasil's roots or wood unless they're determined or desperate enough."

Odin stated, knowing that doing such a thing would border on insanity or desperation.

"There is one person that comes to mind," Kensei stated, catching their attention. "There is a Sacred Gear user among their group who could manipulate plant life. He even created a tree that survived being burned by flames."

"That would make more sense to use the Yggdrasil to enhance his powers, but what kind of basis could he have it would work. I know Sacred Gears are powerful and unpredictable, but he would need a basis to know that his Sacred Gear could evolve using that."

Brynhildr stated.

"But, there is one basis that he has," Kensei stated, surprising them. "Rias' Knight, Yuuto Kiba."

"Oh, the Holy-Demonic Kid. I see," Odin stated, recalling Kiba during the Rating Game, and knew where Kensei was going with that. "Based on what Azazel-Boy said, the Gremory's Knight absorbed a Light Element that lets someone use one of their Holy Swords while gaining a Balance Breaker that lets him create a mixture of a holy and demon sword."

"Yes, that seems to fit the possibilities in front of us. Due to their God and Maou being gone the balance between Holy and Demonic powers is gone, making that possible. So, given that using the Yggdrasil's fragment for one with a more compatible Sacred Gear is the answer. Hah, this Arata is quite the troublesome brat. He's gotten our Lass involved in this mess of his. Plus, those Sacred Gears sure are quite the interesting things, their potential is something that depends on the owner, but could be almost without limit."

"I'll inform the others about this. I'll also have to inform the others from the Three Factions about this. If Geiravör doesn't do anything major, we could settle this matter with a simple enough punishment. But, it depends on what her reasons are."

Odin stated, showing that he wanted to give the former Valkyrie the benefit of the doubt before coming up with a final decision. As Rossweisse said before, Geiravör might have left, but none among the Norse Faction doubted her integrity.

"Well, that's everything. I thank you for informing me about this incident," Odin stated, standing up to his feet as he grabbed onto his cane. "I know the incident wasn't the best for you, in particular, Brynhildr. But, I'll try my best to ensure that this doesn't turn out worse for Geiravör. So, ensure to catch her before she doesn't do something she can't walk back from."

"Yes, Lord Odin."

Brynhildr replied saluting to the Norse God, who had been serious this entire time.

"Oh, one more thing."

"Here we go."

Mimir uttered that under his breath.

"Congratulations on the engagement. I know you and Kensei-boy here will have some strong Walkure, who'll be a benefit for the Norse Faction," Odin stated jokingly rubbing his bread, causing Brynhildr's face to turn bright red as he laughed. "Hohohoho, I was so surprised after hearing the rumors. You might want to hurry up Rossweisse, even Brynhildr here beat you to the punch."

"L-Lord O-Odin, t-that isn't…," Rossweisse tried maintaining her composure as much as possible but then she'd started balling out in tears. "Uwaaaaaaah! How did Brynhildr of all people beat me getting a boyfriend and fiance at the same time?!"

"Huh, what was that Rose?"

Brynhildr's face scrunched up in a scowl as she stared at her junior.

"It's so unfair!"

Rossweisse seemed to continue balling her eyes out, almost ignorant of what Brynhildr told her, leading to the three men in the room looking at the scene.

Mush!

Brynhildr approached Rossweisse with an annoyed look, mushing her cheeks with her hand as she glared at her junior, who kept crying.

"Rose, am I going to have to discipline you again."

"Mmmmmm!"

Rossweisse still cried even in this state, while Brynhildr kept glaring at and mushing her cheeks.

"Was that necessary?"

Kensei asked.

"Yes, yes it was."

Odin replied, rubbing his beard.

"I can see that childish side of you won't change for a long time," Mimir stated, giving a faint sigh before looking at the scene as a smile formed on his face. "But, this time it was to uplift the mood. So, I won't say much."

"Well, it is fun to see the Valkyrie interact. But, I don't know if I can agree with tormenting Rossweisse so much."

Kensei stated, staring at Odin with a blank look.

"Ah, if you have that much of a problem with it, why don't you take Rossweisse too? A young man like you should enjoy the different pleasures of life without fears."

"Ah, it's not as if I'm potentially against it, but that depends on what Rossweisse feels," Kensei stated, causing a perverted smile to form on Odin's face. "Yeah, I'm never telling this guy that Claire and the others said I'm free to do whatever as long as it's consensual. I don't want to imagine the kind of 'advice' he could give me."

At that thought, the group stood by as Brynhildr was still 'disciplining' her junior, causing the tense air that built up to diminish.

"Well, that was one way to end a lover's weekend."

Kensei stated as he stood with Brynhildr in Midgard.

"Hah, this wasn't how I wanted to end our weekend together."

Brynhildr placed a hand on her forehead.

It turned out that telling the Chief God wasn't where the conversation would end, Brynhildr then had to gather up the Valkyrie and Valkyrie Squad and inform them of what happened. Of course, their reactions to hearing that one of their Heroes and idols turned to the terrorists' side. But, like her, they thought there had to be more to it, a heartwarming feeling as neither wanted to doubt their old comrade. For the Valkyrie, former or not, the bond that the group shared was a strong one.

"Well, that's the thing about having a boyfriend and fiance," Kensei stated, turning to face Brynhildr with a smile and earning her attention. "There will be more dates and alone time down the line."

"I-I see."

Seeing his handsome smile and face led to Brynhildr blushing as her heart felt as if it skipped a beat.

"But, it was still a good weekend together nonetheless. I do want to settle that fight of ours too."

Kensei stated with a smile.

"Of course. But, seeing your progress makes me happy that swordsmen I met have gone through a major growth since then," Brynhildr stated, returning that smile. "It makes me wonder if you'll become stronger than me sooner than later. Not that I mind, it is a dream of a Walkure to find a Hero stronger than them and who can save them in situation."

"Well, it depends on the results of my training. But, I know that you aren't at your peak either."

"Hm, now that you mention if, I did feel as if my magic power did become stronger and is now flowing a bit better through me during that last fight."

Brynhildr stated as she channeled a bit of magic power better than before.

"Ah, that's because we did 'that'."

Kensei replied as Brynhildr thought about what 'that' meant.

"H-Huh, you mean," Brynhildr realized what that meant as she thought back to the time that she and Kensei had sex, causing her face to turn bright red. "I got stronger from us having sex?"

"Yeah, it's a byproduct of it, that's how Bouchujutsu works. It pretty much unites the mind and body, clearing the meridians and since magic power is part of it, your magic power flows better."

"Oh, interesting. So, you're able to get stronger by having sex. But, didn't I hear the same thing about the current Sekiryuutei getting stronger from breasts by the rumors?"

"…," Kensei smiled wryly as he looked to the side. "I don't know what to think of that comparison."

"I didn't mean it in a bad way. But, I couldn't recall it the first time. So, I think that it would be good to experience it again."

"Well, I can promise another experience next time."

Kensei stated, giving another smile in Brynhildr's direction.

"Alright then."

Brynhildr stated as Kensei activated the technique that would teleport him back home.

"Well, I'll be off, but before that I…," Kensei couldn't utter a single word before Brynhildr moved forward and surprisingly pressed her lips against his. "…."

"I'll see her later, Darling~"

After separating, Brynhildr gave a beautiful and alluring smile.

"I'll see you later, Bae."

Kensei replied teasingly as the magic circle teleported him out of there.

"…," Brynhildr smiled and waved as Kensei was teleported out of there. "Bae? Bae? Bae? Baeeeeee?! Iyeeeee, this is the greatest moment of my life."

Brynhildr stood there in a hidden bliss and appreciation that made her situation all the more beautiful.

After returning home, in his office where the magic circle was located.

"And I'm back home."

"Oh, I wonder if there's something that could be found in here."

A familiar voice entered the office as he entered.

It was revealed to be Ravel, who entered the office as if looking for something, causing her to pause as she soon closed the door. She looked forward to find Kensei standing there with a surprised look on her face.

"Oh, hey, Ravel."

"Ken-sama?!"

Ravel was surprised as she saw him there.

"Hey, surprised I returned right," Kensei replied as Ravel approached him and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "Well, hello to you too."

"I'm sorry. I'm just not used to not seeing you as often as Claire-sama and the others."

Ravel looked flushed as she thought of what she had just done, causing him to smile as he wondered what she was in there looking for.

"So, what were you looking for in the office?"

"Ah, oh, um, I'll explain."

At that, Ravel would direct him to the couch, leading to him following behind her and taking a seat.

"Well, you see, I was looking for the report Ajuka-sama sent after we agreed to help with the incident that'll soon involve us. Ah, right, a lot of stuff happened and we learned more about Diodora and thought about what could have happened. All of it was told to Ajuka-sama and the other Maou-sama. So, I'll inform you about it later when you have the time."

Ravel explained with the kind of meticulousness he would expect.

"Ah, it's great to hear you guys worked fine enough without me. As I would expect from you girls," a smile could be seen on Kensei's mouth, causing her to smile as she looked down. "Well, a lot happened on my end too. So, I'll be telling you what happened too."

"Is that so? Well, I'll tell the others about your arrival."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Huh, what does that mean?"

"I mean, no one knows I'm back. So, we're going to be alone for a while."

Kensei replied teasingly, causing Ravel's face to turn bright red at the implications, having various feelings that welled up in her chest. Before long, the words that Hisui told her started welling up in her head as if encouraging her to continue.

'And seeing as you're Ken Ken's Manager, there's something else that you might have to 'manage' if you two end up alone.'

Those words echoed in Ravel's mind as she looked more determined to reach the same level as the others, with her looking at Kensei. She then closed her eyes and seemed to pucker her lips a bit, expecting a kiss from him.

"…."

Kensei smiled, then leaned forward and captured her lips.

"…?!"

Ravel was surprised but then started to melt into the kiss. He didn't start heavy, taking it slow so she could get used to it. As their lips pressed and meshed against each other, he could tell that Ravel was slowly adjusting to it. After that, in an opening, he managed to move a hand to her waist pulling her closer to him, which caused her to straddle him without breaking from the kiss. Her knees were around his waist as she moved closer, almost forgetting to breathe.

"Hah, hah, hah."

After separating, Ravel breathed a couple of times as her cheeks turned red.

"Well, that was a surprise wasn't it?"

Kensei asked, with Ravel nodding her head.

"…I think that's about it," Ravel stated, leaping off Kensei with a professional look. "I do want to continue, but it'll be wrong to keep everyone waiting for long."

"Ah, how upright."

Kensei teased but was glad to have someone who thought so much of others.

"…but, we'll continue later when we're alone. And do a lot of the stuff I heard Claire-sama and the others talked about."

"Alright."

Kensei agreed.

After that, he helped Ravel find the files Ajuka sent before meeting the others to show that he returned. They did think that he and Ravel did something in the office before showing that he returned, which was obvious based on her reaction. After that, he informed them about what happened with Geiravör and Brynhildr in the Norse Faction, leading to them learning of their relationship. Of course, it added another thing to their list to deal with in regards to Yami.

On Hagun Island, at night, Geiravör could be seen in the private housing provided by the high-ranking members of Yami. She sat down on the terrace as she set a dinner prepared by her that looked enough that could impress a chef. Besides the meal, she summoned a bottle of wine to complete the dinner.

"Well, at least, I can sit down and have this pleasure."

Geiravör stated she wasn't dressed in armor, but instead in casual attire that one would expect. However, even then, her beauty truly made the outfit and could turn the heads of those watching her. She opened the bottle, pouring the contents into the glass placed beside the meal.

"I'm not as impressive as a chef as a certain someone, but I don't think I did so bad."

She sat down as the meal and utensils were set, with things seeming as prepared as a stock photo.

"What a lonely-looking meal."

Geiravör wasn't so surprised as she heard a familiar voice, as the shadow in front of her extended and coming from it was Arata who stood before her.

"Well, I wasn't expecting a meeting from the leader."

Geiravör paused from eating the meal, as she used magic to ensure that the temperature wouldn't be sullied from not being eaten immediately.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt your meal."

Arata stated, taking a seat in front of her, with Geiravör looking as if the ambiance was ruined.

"Here's a word of advice from someone older than you. If you don't make the effort to sound sincere, then you shouldn't try to sound sincere," Geiravör advice as she picked up the glass, twirling around the contents before placing it down with a sigh. "So, do you need something?"

"Oh, I just wanted to let you know that your probationary period is done. So, you're now an official member of Yami."

"Yippie," Geiravör sarcastically replied. "See, if you're going to act sarcastic, you should sound sarcastic."

"I'll be sure to remember that. Also, for the former runner-up for the title of Brynhildr, I thought that it would be better to give you the position Dong Gang was supposed to have on the Scourge. Isn't that wonderful?"

Arata replied, as he 'smiled' at Geiravör.

"Wow, that's quite the title to give to a lady. I'm so happy."

Again Geiravör sounded sarcastic as she was given that position.

"Oh, don't sound so sad, it's not directed at the person, but at the people the Scourge will be facing. You're going to be the Scourge on our enemies and those who'll stand in our way."

"…," Geiravör listened to those words as she again picked up the glass with a look that couldn't be read. "Hah, couldn't this have been given or sent in an email? So, I don't know why the leader himself had to come and deliver this message. You could have sent someone else."

"Oh, I make it a habit to talk to the newcomers and ensure they're acclimated to the group."

"I'm sure you mean, to make sure they aren't intending on double-crossing you," Geiravör stated, as she again placed the glass on the table. "As long as you keep your end of the bargain, I'll remain in line. So, unless I made some mistake. I do think I should be allowed to have a peaceful meal without being questioned."

"…I do like a strong-willed person. Don't be worried, I'll keep my promise as long as you do your job," Arata stated, standing up to his feet as flames seemed to flicker around him, Geiravör didn't look worried about him in the slightest right now. "Also, I just wanted to make sure that the return to your old home didn't hurt you too much."

"Oh, don't be worried about that. It was a fun reunion, meeting my old friend."

Geiravör replied, wearing a smile as she leaned against her hands.

"That's good, then I'll return. Welcome to the Scourge, Geiravör."

Arata stated, before descending into the shadow used to teleport there, leaving Geiravör there alone to eat her meal and the wine.

"…well, that was a bad way to start a meal," Geiravör removed the magic that preserved her meal, taking a sip of the wine with a pleased look. "Ah, but this is a good wine that aged well. Hm, he's gotten stronger since the last time we met."

Geiravör could sense the presence that Arata released, knowing that he gained Divinity from a Primordial God. But, then it seemed he was acclimating to the divine power he inherited.

"Hm, it seems he's turning to or has turned into a half-god. His power is steadily building up, to where I wonder if your future hubby could beat him Sigrún. But, after meeting him, I wonder how things will end," Geiravör was speaking as if Sigrún was sitting in front of her, reminded of the same scenes of them sitting down to eat a meal like this together as trainees. "Hm, I wonder how my story ends; fall to one of their enemies or if someone from our gets me. Well, I guess that we'll have to wait and see."

"…."

After a day, Kensei found himself in one of the training rooms in the renovated Hyoudou Residene's basement. He was sitting with legs crossed, but, of course, he wasn't alone there as he sat behind Koneko, dressed in training attire. The Nekoshou had her ears and tails out to assist in the training, she focused on gathering the natural ki around her while releasing hers.

"…."

Her breathing was steady, focusing on the task.

"That's good," Kensei stated, his hands raised and a fair distance from her back as a training aid. "Now, as you gather natural ki, concentrate it on one spot, then spread it through your meridians."

"…."

Again, Koneko breathed as she did as instructed, as she felt the natural ki gathering inside her, then started to spread it through her body. He and Hisui already instructed her in meditation to not lose focus or make a mistake, while learning the fundamentals of meridians. She put what she learned into practice, feeling the sensation of the meridians in her body feeling stimulated as she felt a tingling sensation, but it didn't feel bad. Her ears and tails kept twitching as she did as instructed.

"That's good, now confirm mine."

"…."

Again, Koneko breathed. She focused her attention on Kensei's ki, feeling the strong presence that he gave off. It didn't feel overpowering; instead, it felt as if something warm was behind her and would envelop her as if in an embrace. She could accept such an embrace without fear of feeling cold and loneliness.

"And done, that's enough Shirone."

"Hah," Koneko let a breath escape from her mouth as she felt different than she had before. "I feel a lot better."

"Yeah, that's Senjutsu for ya, the more you train it, the better you feel. Your talents as a Nekoshou are showing, you've gotten the hang of Senjutsu with what Hisui and I started teaching you. Now, you're learning to sense and gather natural ki without gathering the malice. So, you could do this alone if you're up for it as long as you keep it at a moderate pace and don't get cocky about it."

Kensei replied, acting as the kind of teacher Koneko would listen to.

"…yes, Ken-sensei."

Koneko looked at her hands as Ki was raised from them with a fondness that felt she was truly herself. Her fears of herself and what she could do acted as chains around her, but now it felt like she realized the mistake it was to hide herself for so long.

"…do you think I could get strong enough to support the others."

"There's no doubt in my mind that you could achieve anything you set your mind to," Kensei stated as he waved his hand as if to tell her to come closer. She then smiled and stood up before positioning herself in her seat, his lap. "You're getting stronger, there is no doubt about that. People might say Senjutsu isn't a match for demonic or light powers. But, that's if you look at it from the perspective that both are easier to make anyone stronger with little training, which is why Senjutsu is as rare as it is."

"…is that so?"

"Of course, with everything, it takes training and mastery to be called the 'strong'. Your aura, your life force, your ki, you aren't just mastering Senjutsu, you're mastering yourself. By dedicating yourself to it, you're reaching deeper and deeper into touching transcendence. Sun-sensei is considered a monster for mastering Senjutsu and Youjutsu. You're a Devil and a Rook, not limited by either speed or agility because you're a Nekoshou. So, with that in mind, you have the potential to become as strong as you want."

Hearing Kensei's words of encouragement caused Koneko to smile as she felt herself having a greater amount of resolve welling up in her heart. She couldn't stop herself from leaning closer to his chest as the scent she got from him touched her nose. No matter how many times she smelt it, his scent was too alluring.

"…we'll be fighting against Diodora Astaroth in a couple of more days."

"Yeah, I don't doubt that your group is going to come out victorious. I mean, the guy looks like a chump, more so a stalking asshole unable to take no for an answer."

"Yeah, we're going to beat that Stalking Squint-eyed Twat."

"Pft, that's the savage talk I like to hear."

Kensei stated, petting Koneko's head.

"…but, it is odd that he got so strong from the last time we met him, his demonic power didn't feel that strong and beat Seekvaira Agares. It feels too drastic and he doesn't look like the type to train."

Koneko stated, that Kensei could tell that her senses were sharper than before and could tell such a thing from the initial interaction with Diodora.

"Hm, that's true. But, I doubt that he'll be able to beat Ise. Because your demonic power grew, it doesn't mean anything unless you know how to use it. Plus, I'd put more money on the person who spent the summer training, with a former Dragon King and Ultimate-Class Devil. Or should the training torture instead?"

"…according to Ise-senpai, I think torture fits."

Koneko said, thinking about the various complaints Issei brought up when training on the mountain her King and family dubbed Mt. Ise.

"Hahaha, yeah."

"Um, Ken-sensei," Koneko gained his attention as she turned to face him with flushed cheeks. "I said I wouldn't rush things when gaining a more 'developed' body. But, I still want to do things with you as the others do. Plus, 'that' girl has the advantage of staying with you."

"That" girl referred to Ravel, causing him to stifle a bit from their rivalry.

"I told you that you don't need to be in such a rush. I'm not Ise, I don't care about body types. If I love someone, then it's for their character. And I do love Shirone, as much I love Ravel," Kensei stated without hesitation as her cheeks turned red from that confession. "But, I can imagine that it's more of a personal thing, right? As Rias and all the others in your group are more developed, right?"

"…yes."

Koneko nodded, having such thoughts as she spent much time around everyone else in Kuoh Town, in school and at home, feeling jealous of their more developed bodies. It was one of the lesser reasons she looked to mastering Senjutsu which was focused on the body.

"Well, if you feel that strongly about it, I give Senjutsu massages that feel good for the body. Plus, Claire stated once that Devils' bodies mature more than normal due to things like their demonic power and other factors. It was one of the reasons that she had such a growth spurt."

"Really?"

Koneko looked enthusiastic at that.

"Yes, but as a sign of that, I'm not being nice or consoling. Care to look over here for a moment," Kensei requested which Koneko did without question, then leaned forward and kissed her.

"…?!"

Koneko was surprised but accepted the kiss nonetheless as she felt the compassion behind the gesture as she closed her eyes and felt the love.

"Believe me, now?"

Kensei asked with a smile.

"Yes."

Koneko replied with a smile.

"Well, I guess I'll use the first couple of requests for the Senjutsu massage. You could talk to Claire the next time you see her about the growth spurt thing. But, keep it in moderation, too much would mean that you'll need to adjust your fighting style."

"I know. I just want to grow."

"Well, with that in mind. I did prepare a little gift from Shiamano."

"Shiamano?"

Koneko looked surprised.

Just then, Kensei retrieved something from his dimensional storage that looked to be arm guards much closer to gauntlets meant for martial artists, with cat patterns on the backs.

"…these are for me?"

Koneko asked, already happy as she stared at the gift. She had a habit of wearing gloves when she started as a Devil but stopped doing so at some point. But, staring at the gauntlets made her ears and tails twitch as if to further signify happiness.

"Yeah, I thought of asking Zane and the others. But, I recalled the Shikigami there telling me that there were some skilled craftsmen there who learned to make these kinds of things. I think a lot of them learned from a certain one I know too. So, the Amagiri Clan also has a decent amount of weapons and items there to use too."

Kensei was surprised to learn about that detail, with the Amagiri Clan pretty much having a never-ending stock of weapons and items in Shiamano to use in dire need.

"Can I try them on?"

Koneko asked energetically standing up with Kensei smiling at her.

"Of course."

Kensei gifted them to Koneko, who put on the gauntlets as the straps seemed to adjust to her arms and wrists as if they were alive. As she moved her arms around, she moved then started punching and thrusting her fists as it seemed as if the gauntlets weren't there. Koneko did that a couple of times as the weight didn't exist and deterred her as she expected from them.

"I was told, most of the items there are made from ores and spirits cores there. So, their weapons are compatible with things like Ki and Spiritual Power. Plus, I think these are made from a feline-type spiritual beast's core too. I hear they adjust to the wearer too."

Kensei explained.

"I love them."

Koneko happily stated, surprisingly leaping into Kensei's embrace, wrapping her arms around his neck, causing him to wrap his arms around returning the hug. She truly loved the gauntlets gifted to her, feeling as if it was a wonderful present. After moving from him for a bit, she kissed his cheek with him feeling the love behind it.

"Let's test them out a bit."

Kensei stated standing up as she and him separated with Koneko looking forward to that.

"Yes."

Koneko replied as she and Kensei got into fighting positions, and the two started practicing the martial arts he taught her. It kept going for what looked to be several minutes to half an hour as the gauntlets proved far more of a benefit in combat than she previously thought. After the practice, the two bathed in one of the baths, before taking her to lunch as a reward. Kensei did like spending time around Koneko, she was adorable, funny, a savage from his words, and finding her personality endearing. She was a student he had great faith in, while having love for her, no different from the others.

After that day, the Kibou Alliance would become more involved with Diodora Astaroth. As the girls previously planned, one of Alice's monsters would be implanted in his shadow courtesy of Ajuka who'd left to meet the Astaroth Clan on business. In the short time the monster was in its shadow, they learned the disgusting truth about the Astaroth Heir.

During a meeting held in the office, where the Sword Team gathered together, on the desk, where Kensei sat, several magic circles appeared projecting the images of three people; Michael, the Archangel and current God, Sirzechs, the current Maou, Lucifer, and Azazel, the Governor General.

"Well, finding out about what that guy did has to be the sickest thing I'd ever heard."

Kensei stated, not hiding his disgust.

[I share the same sentiment, learning of his involvement with the Khaos Brigade was one thing. But, to learn of his particular 'interests' was something I didn't expect.]

Sirzechs replied, placing his hand on his forehead.

[I looked into the names sent by Ajuka-san. And yes, the peerage members' faces and names correlate with the Saints and Maidens who had been kicked out of the church for one reason or another. Our ability to look into and tend to our people has dwindled.]

Michael replied, looking sad at the incident.

[Hah, this kid is twisted as if the Devils from the older generation raised this kid. It is debatable whether he had anything to do with the death of the Glasya-Labolas' Heir. But, this kind of mess is enough to ensure that he'll never be the next Heir. But, his interest in Asia makes me worried about what he'll do to get her.]

Azazel stated, sounding worried.

"His reasons are petty if that's the case. I doubt he'll do anything now, but there would be one moment when it'll happen and no other chance."

Kensei stated, knowing from experience that there would be a moment when Diodora would get a chance to target the former Nun.

[During the Rating Game, that is the same thing we thought of. It wouldn't be as hard for them to break into the alternate space used for the Rating Game depending on the technique. In that case, it appears that Diodora also plans to ambush Rias and the others during the Rating Game. If that's the case, then it means that the Old Maou Faction would be involved too.]

Azazel added, believing that as the most suitable conclusion.

[They're targeting the relatives of the current Maou, which would mean that Sona and her peerage would also be a target.]

"Zane and his group have them covered. But, that would leave Iryuka and Ajuka-san's niece, Latia."

Kensei stated, knowing those two were relatives of the Maou, with Iryuka being a potential Heiress as he knew Zephyrdor was traumatized from his fight with Sairaorg. Based on what he heard and saw the two fought in the next match, with the Bael Heir having an overwhelming advantage. Ravel also flinched at the thought of her friend becoming a target for the Old Maou Faction.

[If Zane and his people are involved, then Sona's group is in the best hands possible. If they're as aware as we think, it wouldn't be odd to see them together. As for Iryuka Glasya-Labolas and Latia Astaroth, it'll be easier for Alice to place her monsters in their shadows. I imagine if we put extra security on them before the Rating Game, then it'll raise suspension. As your groups have close relationships with her and Ajuka, it wouldn't be odd for you to encounter them too.]

Sirzechs suggested, with Alice nodding her head.

"I can pull that off. I'll put my best monsters in their shadows to ensure nothing bad happens to them."

Alice replied as Sirzechs appreciated the gesture.

[Of course, this does bring to question what we'll do for the situation. If things go as intended, Sirzechs' sister and her peerage might be brought into a conflict with the Old-Maou Faction's forces. It could be possible for us to leave our soldiers hidden in the Rating Game to protect them.]

Michael pointed out.

[Hm.]

Azazel seemed deep in thought as the four leaders wondered what was going through his head.

"So, what's going through that head of yours?"

[How about we use that to our advantage?] Azazel suggested catching their attention. [If they're not expecting us to be aware of Diodora's betrayal, we use that to our advantage. If the Old Maou Faction does attack Rias and her peerage, as well as us during the Rating Game, then we'll use that to launch an assault that'll bring them down. So, let them assume we'll be caught off-guard, then gather our forces who'll be there and annihilate their faction.]

[….]

[….]

Sirzechs and Michael thought of Azazel's plan, thinking of it from a tactical standpoint, with Kensei bringing up something on their mind.

"But, if Rias and the others are used as bait, then the Old Maou Faction attacks them at full force, it'll mean they could do in the battle. Ise is strong as a fight, but that's if he's in Balance Breaker. But, his Scale Mail is on a strict timer. As strong and skilled as Kiba and Shirone have grown, they can't fight an army, same for both Rias and Akeno. Plus, Asia and Gasper are supporters, not fighters."

Kensei brought up the points on Sirzechs' and Michael's minds, with Azazel being silent about the incident with a serious look. Claire, Alice, Kunou, Lingqi, and Ravel could see that Azazel was dead serious about the situation. He cared about the group as his students, while getting to know each of them; in addition to one being the daughter of his old-time comrade.

[I know, but this is the one chance we have of gathering the entire Old Maou Faction together and eliminating the entire faction of the Khaos Brigade. It's a risky plan that endangers their life, but this is the best shot we've got at taking one of Ophis' main forces. And if Rias and the others die because of my plan, I'll take responsibility and accept death.]

Azazel replied, bowing his head to Sirzechs as if signifying that he'll accept death, at the hands of Lucifer, if his plan results in his sister's and her peerage's death.

[….]

Sirzechs was still thinking, knowing this was the best plan, but could never endanger the life of his family.

"If I could make a suggestion," Kensei raised his hand, gaining their attention. "If Rias and the others' lives will be in danger, then why not assign the best person to guard them? If they intend to seal them inside the gaming field, then why not have Odin teleport there to protect them? He will be among the people there sent to watch the Rating Game."

[Hm, that's an interesting proposal. It is known their faction has the most advanced magic system, and Lord Odin himself is known to be able to become familiar with magical techniques through his magic eye.]

Michael explained.

[I can see Lord Odin able to break into the gaming field with his magic eye.] Sirzechs stated, finding himself with more hope in going along with the plan with a good conscious. [Plus, as we fight the Old Maou Faction, Rias and her peerage could hide in the produced ruins.]

"Hm, another idea came to mind to make it easier for them to have some more protection. But, it depends on the particular thing a certain someone here can do."

Kensei suggested as the three leaders wondered what that meant.

At that, the group kept talking about the different measures behind the plan and the entire group listened in without trouble. They were taking whatever measure possible to ensure the Gremory Group wasn't put in endangering that would lead to Azazel not sacrificing himself.

It was then time for the Rating Game between Rias Gremory and Diodora Astaroth, with the former gathering for the upcoming battle.

"It's about time."

Rias said as she and the others stood in the magic circle with Koneko putting on the new gauntlets she gained from Kensei.

"Oh, are those new gauntlets you got from Kensei."

"…yes, I'm looking forward to trying them out in this match."

Koneko excitedly said as she put them on.

"Ufufu, it seems as if Koneko-chan is receiving an early present from her teacher~ I wonder if she'll receive a lot of 'private lessons' too~"

Akeno said in a singsong tone.

"…."

Koneko blushed at the thought of that.

"Hm, I have been talking to them a lot too. And I did hear a lot of discussions on training from Lingqi. She's quite the strong person with or without her Sacred Gear."

Xenovia stated, with equal excitement as she thought back to the training sessions she discussed with Lingqi, a trait her team noticed as she trained a lot.

"I did hear from Kensei, that there was some information about the previous users of Boosted Gear that he had offered to send to us through Azazel-sensei. But, he mentioned that it would be easier if Ddraig himself trained or talked to Ise about it. He said that was one of the benefits of having a being sealed in their Sacred Gear."

Rias explained.

"Is that true, Ddraig?"

Issei asked.

[Ah, I do recall the owners I had among that clan. But, the best and most creative when it came to utilizing Boost and Transfer in combat. Plus, compiling the information into that book stored in their other world. It'll be good as a reference, but not everyone uses Boosted Gear the same way. So, you should find your way…well, you're already finding unique ways.]

Ddraig said that last part, thinking of the times Issei used his powers in his unique way.

"Hah, Ise-kun, I think you should be nicer to Ddraig. But, it was interesting to talk to Kensei about swordplay."

Kiba acknowledged his swordsmanship was superior to his and could see the refined technique he used in practice matches during their tour of the Kibou Alliance.

Just then, their group arrived in the Rating Game field, finding themselves in an expansive field that had a Greek theme, as there were several stone shrines around as if they were in Ancient Greece.

"…Did we arrive?"

Issei asked, building up courage, but found out there wasn't the usual announcement or arbiter that introduced themselves.

"…This is weird?"

Rias found the situation odd as nothing was going as usual.

[…?]

Everyone found the situation odd, with nothing being what it was supposed to be for a Rating Game. But, then a lot of magic circles popped up around them, with them noticing the magic seal in them. Kiba prepared his sword, while Akeno sparkled with electricity, and Koneko was covered in an aura.

"…It isn't the symbol of Astaroth!"

Kiba stated, with everyone recognizing the steal.

"…none of the magic circles are similar. Expect," Rias stated as she became covered in a red aura as hundreds to thousands of Devils appeared from the magic circle, each unleashing hostility at them. "Judging from their magic circles, they're affiliated with the Old-Maou Faction."

Everyone there was surprised by that reveal as it meant the Old Maou Faction was attacking them during their Rating Game.

"The blood relative of the annoying fake Maou who calls himself Lucifer, Gremory. I will have you perish here."

A member of the Old Maou Faction stated.

"Kyaa!"

They heard a familiar scream as Asia vanished from beside them, causing them to look up to find Diodora floating in the air with his wings holding onto her.

"Ise-san!"

Asia called out.

"Hey, Rias Gremory. And Sekiryuutei. I will take Asia Argento with me."

Diodora announced with a refreshing and irritating smile.

"Let go of Asia, you shit! Coward! And what is the meaning of this? Aren't we supposed to play the game!?"

Issei shouted, with Diodora staring at him with an evil smile.

"Are you dumb? This isn't a game," Diodora declared. "All of you will die here by them….The agents of the Khaos Brigade. No matter how powerful you are, you won't be able to take on this many High-class and Middle-class Devils, right? Hahahaha, so die. Perish right away."

"Are you telling me you're connected to the Khaos Brigade? Scum," Rias declared as her aura rose. "And you even defiled the game, so death would be fitting for you! More than that, you try to take away my adorable Asia away from me…!"

"If I were to stay with them, then it seemed like I can do anything I want to whenever I want," Diodora stated with no shame about his declaration. "Well, struggle as much as you want. I will become one with Asia while you are busy with them then. You know what I mean? Sekiryuutei, I will make Asia mine. If you're able to follow me, then come to the depth of the shrine. You would be able to see something magnificent."

Diodora laughed loudly as he incurred more of their wrath.

"Ise, Ascalon!"

"Yeah!"

Issei reacted to Xenovia's request, summoning Ascalon from his gauntlet, which Xenovia clasped in her hands with a determined look.

"Asia is my friend! I won't let you do as you want!"

Xenovia's eyes burned with determination and rage.

But, the moment she leaped to attack him, Diodora released demonic power that broke her current stance, causing Durandal to miss him. But, the aura still sailed at him without stopping as Diodora avoided it in the air.

"Ise-san! Xenovia-san! Ise…."

Asia called out as Diodora teleported out of there from sight.

"Asiaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Issei called out.

"Ise-kun! Stay calm," Kiba stated, grabbing onto his shoulder. "We need to take care of the enemies right in front of us first! Let's go and save Asia-san after that!"

After that, Issei calmed down for the moment, intending to beat up Diodora for what he did. But, the first thing their group needed to do was deal with the Devils around them. All their hands shined with demonic power as if intending to attack them from all angles, each of them consisted of High-Class and Middle-Class Devils, two on their own were troublesome enough. All of them wondered about whether or not they would be able to even dodge their attacks.

"Kyaa!"

They turned around to find Odin lifting Akeno's skirt and staring at her panties and ass.

"Hmmm, nice butt. More than that, the curviness only the young ones have is irresistible."

Odin stated, rubbing his beard.

"You shitty geezer! Where did you pop out from? Wait, you are…!"

Issei stated, pulling Akeno from Odin before recognizing him.

"Odin-sama! Why are you here?"

Rias asked surprised.

"Hmm. It will be long if I explain it, but to put it simply, this game has been taken over by the Khaos Brigade," the man explained as he formed a barrier as the Old Maou Faction's Devil unleashed their attacks, but none of them could bypass his defenses. "The Three Factions' leaders and others are cooperating to take them out. Well, we'd known up to the fact that Diodora Astaroth allied himself with the Old Maou Faction. Azazel-Boy and they knew he had to have received one of Ophis' snakes to power himself up. Then it will be dangerous for you guys, right But this game field is covered by a strong barrier. So it would be hard for normal people to break or go through the barrier. Especially destroying it. We can't do anything unless we stop the one who turned the barrier on from the inside."

"Then how did you enter here, geezer?"

Issei asked.

"When I gave one of my eyes to Mímisbrunnr," Odin, showing off his missing eye that looked like a crystal in place of his eye, with magical characters in it, causing them to feel a chill that even Ddraig felt. "I'd become familiar with demonic power, magic, and other spells. The same applies to barriers too. Oh, I think it's about time that we let them out."

"Huh, who?"

Rias asked, as Odin approached her, then tapped her shadow with his cane, causing her shadow to surprisingly expand as 'something' came out. It was a monster that looked like it was a giant sphere, surprising them more as it was unknown. But, it then opened its maw as someone's hand reached out.

"Okay, that was worse than I thought."

It was revealed to be Kensei.

"Seriously, we cannot see anything in there."

Claire added.

The Gremory Group was surprised to find the members of Kensei's team, the Sword Team stepping side of the monster's mouth dressed in their combat attire. After Alice stepped outside last, she started petting and rubbing on the monster, who mewled.

"Aw, don't hurt his feelings."

Alice said as she consoled her monsters much to their surprise.

"Kensei?! What're you doing here?! And why were you all in my shadow?!"

Rias asked surprised.

"Well, we stored ourselves in Alice's monster which is pretty much a living dimensional storage, because she thinks using a normal one is boring," Alice seemed to ignore that comment as she consoled her monster as the others stared at it. "And then we stored it in Grayfia-san's shadow, then into yours after she met you guys. It'll pretty much take a while for help to arrive. We would have brought more people, but her monster has a limited capacity when it comes to having several strong people in its stomach."

"So, you knew this would happen too?"

Issei asked.

"I heard that Diodora was being a little suspicious. So, I talked to the leaders and suggested that Odin come here to protect you guys, and then we came here too. Sorry, that you guys ended up caught in this mess?"

Kensei apologized, with them hearing that, as Claire handed them communication devices.

"These are from Azazel. He told us to inform you guys to head over to that shrine and he'll explain things."

Claire explained as the Gremory Group took the earpieces as the Devils looked at them.

"The Chief God, Odin! The members of the Kibou Alliance, the gathering of filthy half-breeds!"

At that comment, Kensei pointed his finger at the High-Class Devil who said that.

"Don't talk about my fiancèe, members, and the kids our group has."

Kensei threatened with serious eyes.

"Hah, after this, maybe we'll…."

Before the Old-Maou Devil could finish, Kensei pointed his finger to the right, at the same time, his neck was twisted and broke in that direction with Telekinesis, killing him; surprising them how he died from such a simple gesture. Noting their ally being killed in such a manner caused the Old Maou Devils to glare at Kensei full of killing intent.

"Hey, I told him to stop."

Kensei stated.

"You guys head to the shrine. We'll guard you from them."

Lingqi stated as she summoned Shimon Mouko and got serious.

"Can you guys take them on, they have more than this?"

Rias asked.

"They have an army of Devils, but have an Alice-san."

Kunou stated as Alice's shadow expanded as several monsters came out, some being large Western Dragons spewing out from her shadow like a flood, then soured into the air.

"What the hell?!"

Issei looked surprised as the monsters came out in such numbers, not knowing that she had that many monsters in her collection, stored simply in her shadow.

"That's Alice-nee's Longinus for ya."

Claire stated, almost amused by their reactions.

"A Longinus?"

Rias asked.

"Annihilation Maker, among the four strongest Longinus that can create whatever monster Alice can imagine," an explanation came from Kensei, who then pointed at the shrine. "But, that comes later. You guys should be going to the shrine and getting Asia from that stalking weirdo."

"Alright."

Issei could agree with that as their group started heading straight to the shrine, but not before Koneko and Kensei fist-bumped for more encouragement.

"Hah, do you think that we'll let you? Huh?"

Several High-Class and Middle-Class Devils were stopped, unable to move as if an invisible hand wrapped around them, being Kensei's Telekinesis. Alice's Dragons opened their mouth, breathing fire that incinerated them. After that, the Old Maou Devils started spreading out as the winged monsters targeted them. But then some noticed Lingqi leaping into the air, bouncing off some monsters with spiritual power gathering in her right gauntlet.

"…."

Shimon Mouko enhanced her strength speed up to double before training in Shiamano, but by training there and obtaining spiritual power and Tiger Qi; the doubling limit was steadily removed. As her fist made contact with the Middle-Class Devils were blown back with an explosive force that almost broke their bodies. Claire manifested Nemesis Astrum in her hands and Nemesis Cherub around her, then unleashed a hail of light arrows at the Old Maou Devils, piercing them and causing severe damage from the light. During that, Kunou was behind Odin, who worked on his technique meant to bring others into the gaming field.

"Odin-sama, I'll protect you until you complete the technique."

Kunou stated as she summoned Kitsunebi as High-Class and Middle-Class Devils.

"For a baby who only lived for a decade or so to worry about me," Odin stated, raising his can, which transformed into Gungnir, then pointed it at the group of Devils. "Gungnir."

Just then, Odin unleashed a large aura from Gungnir, eliminating the surrounding Devils without much resistance as a show of force. It surprised them and Kunou with the power that Odin could show from a gesture, a feat that impressed Kensei and Lingqi.

"Damn, we aren't close to the level of a god."

Kensei stated, surprised by the amount of power Odin released from Gungnir.

"To release such immense power from a single gesture. It's such a feat that I can't imagine myself being able to do without more training."

Lingqi added.

"Ah?"

Kensei looked to find Odin's leering eyes as Kunou was still protecting him despite the overwhelming power he unleashed. Odin then felt Kensei staring down at him as a deadly aura was being unleashed from him, as Kurogane's blade was slowly removed from its sheath. After that, he decided to focus on the technique as the sword came from the sheath.

"Hm, more of them are pouring in from outside. I doubt they're able to freely break into the gaming field through their means alone. Plus, this feeling reminds me of Georg's Dimension Lost. I guess that he took control of the gaming field and is letting the Old Maou Devils pour into the field."

Lingqi stated, feeling a similar presence.

"Well, that was within the possibility as they're part of the same organization, getting rid of the people here would be the best chance possible for the Hero Faction as much as the Old Maou Faction."

Kensei stated as he sent the confirmation to Azazel about Georg's involvement in this incident, which the man received as he fought people on their end.

"Let's see here, how many of them do you think we could beat before help arrives?"

Kensei asked as he stretched his arms.

"I don't know, let's find out."

Lingqi replied, cracking her knuckles.

As Kensei floated in the air, Lingqi kept herself afloat using Geppo, with the two heading straight into the army of High-Class and Middle-Class Devils. And as if like a Dragon and Tiger soaring through the sky, the two smashed into them without hesitation. A sword and fists continued attacking them without hesitation, as they flashed about, not remaining in one position. All the Devils fired demonic attacks and blasts at them, but the duo kept avoiding them and kept fighting on nonetheless.

None of the attacks were weak, each one could erase a section of a mountain with each, but the two were much too fast to hit. However, that wasn't the same for Kensei's and Lingqi's attacks, which almost always hit the mark intended, sending their targets backward or erasing them.

"Oh?"

During the onslaught, Kensei seemed to have sensed something, or someone in the same direction the Gremory Group went.

"What a durable little roach."

Kensei then used Telekinesis to uproot a giant slab of stone from the ground, then shaped it into what looked to be a stone sword using his ability to manipulate the earth. It surprised the Old Maou Devils who believed that he made it for them. Surprisingly enough, Kensei tossed at high speeds at the shrine where Rias' peerage was heading. It slammed into the section without much resistance, but they were wondering what the purpose of that was.

"You missed."

One of them stated.

"I wasn't aiming for you, I just found a roach."

Kensei stated.

"All that to kill a roach?"

"Yes."

Kensei replied plainly, before using Telekinesis to keep them from moving as Lingqi came in with a punch, which caused blood to seep from their mouths as she sent Qi into their bodies causing them to almost explode on the inside. As their bodies were knocked helplessly into the air to fall to the ground.

"Kensei did you sense that disgusting presence too?"

Lingqi asked, sensing the 'roach' that Kensei tossed that sword at.

"Yeah, I think it was a former Exorcist named Freed. He was kinda a pain in the ass that we had to deal with just about four years ago. I felt as if he quit being Human and turned into a chimera. I think that he was going to eat Diodora's Knights there. Now, at a glance, I might have taken off his head. Or split him in half down the middle. One or the other."

"Hm, he kinda feels like Siegfried. So, I'm guessing that he's from the Sigurd Institute like him and Iris. Huh, why would he be there though? Did Diodora plan on or think he would kill his Knights because it felt as if he was planning on harming them."

"Well, I doubt that psycho can love or care about anyone."

Kensei stated as the two looked at the shrine that now had an opening in it.

"Right," Lingqi said, almost wanting to kick Diodora's ass herself, but had no other choice but to leave that to the Gremory Group. She looked to find the Old Maou Devils continuing to pour in. "Hm, hey, Kensei, I have an idea."

"Oh, an idea? What is it?"

"…."

As Lingqi explained the idea for him as the Old Maou Devils started closing in on them, while gathering up their demonic powers to shoot them, he looked surprised by the idea but then wore an excited smile.

"Oh, that sounds insane and entirely unnecessary. And I love it."

"Good to hear that you like it."

Lingqi stated as she raised her hand to Kensei, who stared at it with a teasing smile.

"Not, gonna hit me this time?"

Kensei asked, grabbing onto her hand.

"I've gotten used to your presence."

Lingqi replied as she clasped his hand.

"Good, then I won't have to be worried as often."

Kensei stated as he prepared Kurogane, channeling spiritual power into the blade as an aura surrounded it.

"As long as you don't tease me too hard."

Lingqi added, as prepared her other gauntlet, having the blue claws come out as spiritual power seeped from the claws that were enshrouded in an aura.

"Alright, let's do this."

Kensei stated.

Lingqi positioned herself, looking as if she would launch Kensei, but neither released the other as they seemed to start spinning around towards the group of Old Maou Devils. Kensei's Kurogane split the demonic bullets fired at them, while Lingqi's claws cut the others she missed. They looked as the pair turned into a spinning slashing top that started tearing through their crowd.

Seeing such a thing would lead to them further separating their numbers as being in one large crowd like this is a demerit for them. After that, they would gather their demonic power, releasing different elemental attacks instead of basic demonic bullets.

"You're up."

Lingqi stated with a smile, with them noting the signal.

After one more turn, Lingqi tossed Kensei in the direction of the elemental attacks without hesitation, and then Kurogane absorbed the elemental attacks, surprising them. He then released them back at the others, taking out several Old Maou Devils in the process.

"Alright."

Kensei raised his free hand pointing it at Lingqi, as he made an invisible hand from Telekinesis that grasped her hand again, then pulled her towards him as demonic bullets were fired at her.

"…."

Claire looked on with surprise and a smile as she watched what was happening. It almost looked as if the Dragon and Tiger were dancing around in the air, fighting against their opponents, instead of one another. It was a truly breathtaking moment that only these two martial artists could be capable of.

"What?"

Kunou asked.

"I've never seen two people with so much good chemistry with each other and aren't dating. It almost makes me jealous that Lingqi-san is among the few people able to fight with Kensei like that."

Claire replied as she stared at them continuing to fight, all the while her Nemesis Cherub fired at the Devils who tried attacking her.

"Yeah, that's true."

Kunou agreed.

"Hm, seeing those two makes me curious about their futures," Odin admitted as he rubbed his beard as the numbers of Old Maou Devils continued to increase, no longer limited to this area. In the group, some wield power comparable to Ultimate-Class Devils. "Well, it seems like the stronger ones are coming in. But, this old god finished his job."

Just then, on their end, several magic circles from his faction started manifesting around their battlefield as the members of other factions, including the gods there to watch the Rating Game, the Underworld, Heaven, Grigori, and the Kibou Alliance who came to bring their aid. More and more, this was turning into the final confrontation with the Old Maou Faction, whose forces started including their strongest members, the High-Class and Ultimate-Class Devils.

"Well, this seems to be coming to an eventual end with these many people here."

Claire stated as she watched the battles happening there.

"Yes, well, I don't have many opportunities to stretch these old bones. So, let's see what I can do here."

Odin stated as he started twirling Gungnir around in his hand, thinking about the last time he ever needed to use his divine weapon against an opponent.

During this great battle, one person wasn't participating or even thought about participating, instead looking down with curiosity. She floated in the air with almost no power, seeming to stand there. It was the first time she'd seen so many gathered together and fighting for their reasons. But, there was someone who caught her attention as the scent caught her attention. It was directed at Kensei, who continued looking as if he were dancing with Lingqi as the two fought against the Old Maou Devils.

"A Human that doesn't smell like a Human, with the power of a Dragon, but isn't a Dragon. How odd?"

The Ouroboros Dragon, Ophis, was staring down at the scene, which was caused by the faction she led.

A/N: And there goes the next chapter of DxD – The Last Amagiri, this was the final date for both Kensei and Sigrún with them reporting what happened to Odin, discussing the reason that Arata recruited her, thinking this involved the Yggdrasil fragment Geiravör still had. Similar to Kiba, he plans on having Mason absorb it into his Sacred Gear. Kensei returns home, with them planning on dealing with Diodora and sharing a good moment with Ravel and Koneko. He gifts the Nekoshou gauntlets which reminds me of Jin's gauntlets from Tekken. This leads to the Great Battle against the Old Maou Faction, with the Sword Team fighting against them while defending Odin.

But, in the end, Ophis appeared and seemed to have noticed Kensei's scent. I'm sure that people know where this situation is going to lead.
