I just want to say I really hope you guys enjoy this story. It was a spur of the moment thing and it was inspired by a prompt I saw on TikTok. Original concept was by Lara PNG, and they have a story on Wattpad Called 2 voices 1 dream. Written by Lucian Gallacane. Please go check it out. I take no credit for the concept idea though it is similar. I decided to recreate it my way and hope I don't offend the original concept creator. This will be about maybe a 3 - 4 chapter story before completion.

Also those of you who follow my other story My lightning dragon, I am sorry and am unsure whether or not I will be continuing it. I didn't want to be one of those writes who end up leaving a story unfinished but I am unsure where I want go with it.

Anywho, please enjoy. At the end of each chapter I will list what songs inspired or are used. All characters belong to Kihei Horikoshi. And all songs will be credited at the end of the chapters.

Honestly, Bakugo didn't understand why he let these extras drag him out tonight. He didn't care about some stupid band that everybody is obsessed with, or how hot their lead singer was. Bakugo long ago gave up caring about music and dating since the fallout between him and Deku, his childhood friend and crush. Izuku Midoriya. Both had dreams of becoming the world's top music artist. Wanting to live life rich and with no limits to stop them once they reached the top.

They had been raised together, practically as siblings, since their moms were so close. It was only natural they would end up close too. He couldn't remember a day they spent without each other. Izuku was his best friend, his one constant in life he trusted to be there by his side. Anywhere he went without him he couldn't wait to tell Izuku about it. Whether it was a trip camping with his parents or a walk to the grocery store, he impatiently waited till he got home to see Izuku and talk about all the things he saw or wanted to try.

Music was introduced early into their lives too. Their moms would play the radio to fill the silence when they had their playdates. They grew to appreciate a lot of different genres of music because of the different taste of their moms preferred artist. They would go from Country to Pop and everything in between. Both came to appreciate Rock the most, and it didn't matter what type, as long as it had drums and guitars it was the best to them. From there was where their dreams of becoming Musicians were born. Bakugo decided he wanted to become a drummer and singer, because what was cooler than banging drums to make music? Izuku wanted to mainly sing, so that way he could share his love of music through his voice and words. Either way, they decided that's what they wanted to be and they wanted to do it together.

Their number one Idol was All Might, who was a Lead singer for a band called Smash. They had long since been inducted into the Hall of Fame before both had been born, but whenever their moms played any of his songs both were quick to stop and sing along. He inspired them to practice whenever and wherever, that way one day they can become as big of Legends as he is.

It soon came to focus that Izuku had the fairer voice of the two, whereas Bakugo had the grittier sound, and that both were naturally talented. At first, Izuku was worried he sounded too girly to be considered the lead singer of a rock band. That was appeased by their moms explaining that there were plenty of artists that had higher voices that were just as amazing, such as Yamada Hizashi, or his stage name Present Mic. Bakugo further reassured him by saying he would fight whoever said otherwise. The more they sang together they realized they harmonized amazingly well. Somehow Bakugo growl was softened by Deku's soft melodic tunes.

When the time to start Kindergarten came around, both had heard enough praises about their talents and gained a lot of attention. Izuku tended to shy away from the limelight, while Bakugo seemed to bask in it. It was unlike anything he ever felt. The feeling of constant validation that he was amazing and would be something one day filled him. The only thing he could compare was the fuzzy feeling he would get in his chest when Izuku would smile and cheer for him when he would sing or practice playing drums on the pots and pans from their kitchen.

However, as they started to grow, and middle school came around, Bakugo started to push away Izuku. At first, everything was normal. Izuku and Bakugo would constantly be together and spend all their time with each other, but things started to get to Bakugo's head. The compliments made him start thinking he was better than everyone, to the point he started to refer to everybody as extras. Then when his friends started to point out that Izuku was weird for following around Bakugo, and dumb for believing he was even close to being as talented as him with a voice as girly as his, they started to refer to him as Deku. Bakugo would defend him at first, and would comfort him as they made their way home after school and it was enough to appease Izuku. That was that, but one day Izuku had stayed home from school because he was sick and Bakugo was understandably upset that his best friend wasn't there with him. Until one of Bakugo's friends made a comment that made his blood run cold.

"You know, with how much he follows you around, you would think the guy is in love with you Bakugo." Bakugo frowned at this. He didn't think it was odd that Izuku followed him, he enjoyed it when he did. Why would that be so odd?

"Yeah, is he gay or something?" Another one if his friends inquired while they walked. That made Bakugo's thoughts pause.

"Gross, you might be onto something. Have you seen the way he looks at him like a lost puppy? Also have you noticed he doesn't talk to anyone else but Bakugo?" Bakugo started to feel dread. He didn't like how they were talking about Izuku, but was it really weird? He never noticed and he didn't want anyone to make fun of him too. Was the warmth he felt in his chest he got whenever he was around Izuku a sign that he was gay? He started to feel panic at this thought. He wasn't gay, and he certainly wasn't gay for Izuku. He couldn't be. How could someone as great as him be as weird and gross to be gay, right? He was sure to let his friends know that was not the case for him and he never noticed how Izuku was.

"That Deku wishes that someone as amazing as me would notice him like that. I'm no fag and I'm gonna be the most Badass drummer there will ever be, and if Deku thinks he has a chance, he's delusional." Little did Bakugo know that one of his so-called friends recorded what he said.

The next week Bakugo started to push Izuku away and started to refer to him as Deku. He would make fun of him and taunt him whenever his friends were around him, and he stopped walking with him after school. Izuku didn't understand what was going on with Bakugo and one lunch period he decided to confront him.

"Kacchan, what's going on? Why are you being so mean?" He demanded, for a second Bakugo hesitated. After all this was Izuku, his best friend since childhood. What was he doing?

" I don't understand. You've been avoiding me, and now all you do is bully me. Why?" He pleaded, and Bakugo was about to reassure him. He really didn't know what was wrong with him, but what he did know was he didn't like how it made him feel with the way Izuku was looking at him.

"Maybe, it's because he doesn't want to be around a fag like you. Did that ever occur to you?" His friend snarled at Izuku, causing him to flinch and his face to pale. Bakugo had enough.

"Oi, back off. He's not gay, right Deku?" Bakugo turned to Izuku waiting for him to agree with him, but he was just frozen there with wide frightened eyes staring at Bakugo breathing shallowly.

"Deku? Right? Tell them you're not. I've known you forever, c'mon." Bakugo was starting to feel dread. He didn't really care that he was gay. He was more worried about himself being accused of it. After all, what legendary rock star is known for being gay? None that he knew of that was for sure. He wasn't about to be the first.

"See, he's not even denying it. Why don't you do everyone a favor and leave Bakugo alone. He doesn't want you around." That seemed to snap Izuku out of it and he began to weakly protest.

"That's not true. Right, Kacchan?" Bakugo opened his mouth to speak, to say what he wasn't sure, but before he could make a single sound his voice sounded out from nowhere.

"That Deku wishes that someone as amazing as me would notice him like that. I'm no fag and I'm gonna be the most Badass drummer there will ever be, and if Deku thinks he has a chance, he's delusional." Bakugo swore he could hear something inside of Izuku break, and if he was being honest with himself he felt something shatter inside of him too. He stood there watching as tears filled his eyes and he ran away.

In the beginning Bakugo made himself believe it was for the best, that Izuku would forgive him if he explained that he didn't mean any of it and that he only said that so he wouldn't be shunned. However, when he went by Izuku's house, his mom refused to let him in and shortly after they moved away. He didn't know at first. He didn't think anything of it when Izuku didn't come to school the next day. He was a dick and if it were him he'd stay home too. When two days turned into two weeks, he became nervous. When he went to Izuku's house again that afternoon it was to a sign that said for sale on his lawn and an empty house. When he went to his mom to ask where they went, all she did was say he didn't have to worry about that anymore and he should leave it be. That night Bakugo when to bed and cried.

"Im sorry Izuku, please come back. I didn't mean it."

As time passed on Bakugo came to the realization that the feelings he had when Izuku was around, and that were now absent, was love. He now never will know what it would be like to share that feeling with Izuku and he pushed everything away that was a reminder of Izuku to him, and that included music. He became a bitter, angry person from that day on and he had no one to blame but himself.

As Bakugo snapped out of his memories he realized that they had moved forwards more toward the entrance of the venue. Bakugo had to admit they must be really good at least to be the headliner for UA Auditorium, it's nearly impossible to land that spot unless you were the best of the best. Bakugo wanted to be on that stage once upon a time, but after that fateful day he couldn't find it in himself to play anymore. After all, why would he when the whole point was to be up there side by side with Izuku.

"C'mon Bakubro. I promise it's not that bad. You'll love the headliner band. The lead singer is a prodigy." Kirishima pleaded to him, as he had yet to stop grumbling since they picked him up from his apartment. He met Kirishima in college. They both majored in business, and ended becoming close friends and opened up a gym together when they realized they both like boxing. Now they have about four other locations that are doing amazingly well.

"You know I don't go to things like this, and you know why." Bakugo growled back to him. Kirishima was the only person he opened up to about what happened, and about his dating preference. He was completely supportive of Bakugo being gay, and he even shared how he was bisexual. Kirishima ended up being his first. That was a one time thing once he realized he really only felt that way towards Izuku. He never had a relationship and usually only had a hook up here and there when he was overly stressed.

"I know, but just this once I promise. If you really hate it then I'll cover your paperwork for a month. Deal?"

"Deal." Bakugo was pissed but he wasn't stupid. He hated paperwork with a passion and if there was any way he could get out of it he could. He didn't know why Kirishima had that stupid smirk on his face, but he didn't pay any mind to it when Pinkie started talking.

"This is gonna be so fuunnn! Honestly, I haven't seen Smash play in so long, but I'm so excited for Plus Ultra." Mina squealed as she bounced in line. A few of the guys behind them in line leered at her. Bakugo didn't really blame them since Pinkie looked good in her black denim shorts and off shoulders Smash shirt. The fishnet stockings didn't help since it contrasted nicely with her dark tan skin and hot pink hair. Hence, the name Pinkie. Kirishima placed an arm around her and pulled her to his side. They've been together for a good two years now, and Bakugo couldn't help but envy them.

Bakugo just processed what she said and looked up to the sign above the door displaying the lineup for the venue tonight. Sure enough Smash was playing, but so were a couple of other popular bands. Such as Lemillion, who was well known for his similarity to Smash's style. There was also Shade, they were more on the metal side of the industry but just as good. Plus Ultra must be an extremely talented group to be the headliner with these groups opening for them.

"Huh, this'll be interesting." Bakugo won't lie and say he cut music entirely from his life. He still listened to all of his favorite artists. He just didn't sing or play anymore. Not publicly at least. He still would find himself humming songs he wrote with Izuku, or softly singing ones that were from their favorite bands. He hadn't listened to any new artist though, preferring his classics compared to the newer industry that was producing.

"Ya, know. The guitarist for Plus Ultra is so hot. I wish I had a chance." Dunce face whined from the front of our group. Bakugo wasn't exactly sure how he ended up befriending the idiot. There was a day during college at lunch where Kirishima and him were studying in the campus quad, and Denki literally dropped in. He was in the tree that they were leaning against when he fell and landed in front of them. He said he saw a cat stuck there, but if Bakugo was being honest, he thinks he was just brain fried by too many wires from his engineering course. Kaminari was a special one for sure.

"Keep wishing buddy. Tough chance of that happening." Kirishima laughed, while they finally made it to the doors. The security checked them for weapons and scanned their tickets and let them pass through after that was all said and done. Kaminari was miffed they made him toss his bottle that was filled with 'water', other than that they made it through fairly quickly. Kirishima dragged them to the venue about two hours early so they ended up getting front stage spots. Bakugo at least could appreciate that he wouldn't have to stand in the center of all the extras here, and would be able to enjoy seeing Smash up close and personal without any hindrance.

It took about thirty more minutes before the auditorium was filled and the first act of the night took the stage. Bakugo watched as the three man band took to the stage and started to set up. The drummer was a dark haired guy that looked like he would make a break for it any minute now, and Bakugo had to scoff at that. What idiot would be in a band if they had stage fright? The guitarist was a grey haired girl that was smiling and waving at the crowd. The lead singer was a bulky man with strangely beady eyes and was excitedly waving to the crowd as well while trying to get the shy kid to do the same.

Bakugo assumed this was Lemillion. He only heard about two of their songs before and he could see the influence that Smash had on this group. They weren't bad, but Bakugo believed that they could have gotten more popular if they went an alternate route than trying to follow in Smash's path.

A guitar rift brought him out of his assessment as the group gained the attention of the crowd. Screams roared around him and the vibration from the speakers pulsed through his body from the floor.

"Hey guys, great to see all of you tonight! If tonight is your first time hearing us, my name is Mirio, on guitar is Najire, and drums is Tamaki. We are Lemillion!" Screams filled the stadium as they started their set. Bakugo begrudgingly admitted that they were good, and while they did sound similar to Smash, they managed to give it a new sound of their own. He bobbed his head to the songs that they played out on stage. He was surprised that the chicken guy was a decent drummer. By the time they finished, Bakugo found himself enjoying himself a bit. Music was always a part of him.

The next band was actually a recently new band he didn't recognize the name of. They did have a solid sound to them and he promised to himself that he would look them up later on after the concert. He actually started to bounce around with the crowd as the night went on. He missed the adrenaline that came with the atmosphere of a concert. He only wished he was on stage instead of watching, and looking at the back of the head of emerald green curls as he played his drums. Nonetheless he enjoyed himself so far. Kirishima was going to be a pain in the ass after this.
