Chapter 13 – The Princess, The Elf, The Demon and The Wanderer Part 13
Morning time had arrived and the new wandering group of Bean, Elfo, and Luci. Both Barbara and Bean were loading up the wagon full of food and supplies. "Alright, this food should hold you all over for a few days!" She said as she dusted her hands. "You got bread, Meats, and I even threw in some bottles of my best brew!"
"Thank you so much, Barbara!" said Bean, smiling at Barbara.
"It's the least I could do Beanie dear. You've been such a sweetheart ever since you stepped through the Inns doors." Barbara returned the smile at Bean.
Bean looked around "Oh come on where is everyone?" She said as she eyed the area for Elfo, Luci, and Koga. Barbara tapped her chin and said, "I believe Koga is talking with Freya, Elfo is saying goodbye to the kids, and that little feline talking cat of yours is up to no good as always I believe."
"Yeah, that sounds like Luci alright," Bean nods in agreement. "I'm going to go find the rest of the gang! Be right back Barb!"
Barbara waved at Bean as she heads off into town. As Bean walked the dirt path through Southwold she couldn't help but feel a bit sad. She had only been here for a week but to Bean, it felt like she's been in town a lot longer. She was going to miss Southwold and everyone that lived here.
The first person she went to go look for was Koga. She heads over to the defense force headquarters and walks in. The first person she finds is Archie, who was sweeping the floor. He looks up and greets Bean "Sup Bean!" He said to her "You got everything you need?"
"Yup! Barbara packed the last of what we needed. Hey, Is Koga here?"
"He was earlier. He came by to see Freya and the two of them left off to talk," Archie said as he let out a chuckle "Man It's weird seeing them laugh and smile at each other. I'm used to seeing them say one nice thing and then they're at each other's throats. It's nice seeing them finally enjoy each other's company."
"Alright I guess he'll be meeting up with the rest of us later," said Bean crossing her arms.
"Man I envy you Bean. Going out on adventures with Koga to fight monsters, demons, giants, and trolls! Oh man and you get to see what else the world has to offer!" said Archie as he let out a sigh.
"Hey get better at shooting a bow and swinging a sword and you'll be traveling like Koga!" Bean smiled at him.
"OUCH! You've been hanging with Sophie too long…" said Archie in a depressed tone.
"YUP! Anyways I'll see you later when we depart Archie!" Bean waved at him as she left the building.
"Bye…" said Archie waving sadly.
Once Bean knew what Koga was up to he decided to search for Elfo and Luci. Just as Bean wanted to go look for Elfo he pops out from around the corner followed by a bunch of kids. They looked sad and upset as they followed closely after Elfo.
"Elfo are you seriously leaving?" asked Samuel "Can't you stay?"
"Sorry kids but my friends need me. I am a vital member of the group and we're going to be traveling the world!" said Elfo in a confident tone of voice
"Will you at least come by and visit us?" asked Isabella
"Of course, we will! I had a lot of fun with you guys!" Elfo smiled at the kids as they all went in for a group hug. "We're going to miss you Elfo," said one of the kids of the group. "Please stay safe," said Isabella.
"Aw guys…" said Elfo as he hugged all of them. "I'm going to miss you all too! And I promise when I get the chance I'll visit you guys! I promise!"
Bean smiled at them. Seeing this warmed her so much. Elfo breaks away and once he sees Bean he heads over to her while waving at the kids. "Hey, Bean! Are we loaded up and ready to go?" Bean would nod "Yup! All we have to do now is find Luci and then wait for Koga. Any idea's where Luci is?"
"Last time I was with him he said he was going to get some more money," said Elfo.
"Ugh, he's gambling again? His luck is going to run out with that if he keeps that up!" said Bean, shaking her head. Bean would then shrug and say "Oh well. We cannot have enough money."
"HA! I GOTCHA YOU LITTLE FELINE!"
Bean and Elfo would turn their attention to where the sudden yell came from. There was a group of men gathered around the table with smiles on their faces. Luci was sitting on the table cursing and banging his fist against it. "GODDAMN IT!" He screamed.
Bean and Elfo walked over to the table "Umm what's going on?" She asked as the men began dancing and celebrating. Luci looks over at Bean and Elfo and he replies "Ok don't be mad but…I just lost all the money we had…" Bean and Elfo look at Luci in shock. "WHAT?" The said in unison.
One of the men at the table smirked at Luci "Karma finally caught up with you you talking little punk!" He said as he jiggled the coin pouch in front of his face. Bean groaned and facepalmed "Oh for Christ's sake Luci how did you lose?"
"I felt confidant this time and I didn't cheat!" Luci explained.
"CHEAT?" said The men around the table.
"I had a feeling you were!" said one of the other men.
"And it took days before you all realize I was," said Luci.
Bean smacked Luci in the back of his head causing him to let out a cat-like meow of pain. One of the men gets up from the table and walks up to Bean. He hands her one bag of gold coins "Here you go Bean. Good luck with your travels!"
"Aww thanks," said Bean with a smile.
"And this is for you," said The man handing Luci a dead rat. "Choke on it."
"Gee thanks…" said Luci in a bitter tone and Elfo ends up giggling to himself. Luci responded to this by slapping with his tail. "OW!" Elfo yelped.
"Come on you two let's head to the wagon. Koga will be meeting up with us soon," said Bean
"Where is Koga away?" asked Elfo as he gets to his feet and followed bean.
"Probably smooching up a storm with Freya," said Luci as he started making kissing sounds.
"I do think the only person in the world that can handle Freya is Koga," said Bean
"I can only imagine the sex that they'd have and all of the screaming Freya would be doing," said Luci "And the broken beds."
"Ok enough talking about Freya and Koga's possible sex life. Let's focus on how many awesome adventures we're going to have when we leave!" said Bean excitedly
"You're just jealous of what their sex life might be like," said Luci with a grin.
"What? Why would I be?!"
"Don't worry Bean I'm sure you'll have a wonderful sex life!" said Elfo with a smile.
"Ugh…oh my god…" Bean groaned as she rubs her head.

"So you're heading out today?" asked Freya
"Yeah. It's about time I get back on my travels. Unfortunately, now I have to babysit a Princess, an Elf, and a Demon…" said Koga rubbing the back of his head.
Freya giggled "I'm sure you're happy you got companions to travel with ye," She looks up at the blue sky that had traveling white clouds. Koga and Freya were at the farming area of Southwold. Freya was sitting on the wooden fence while Koga leaned against it. Freya's hair was let down and she closes her eyes as the wind began to pick up. Her bright orange hair was flowing in the wind. Koga stared off at the healthy green fields. "Why don't you come with me?" said Koga gently. Freya opened her eyes and her smile grew smaller. "I want to…" She replied somberly. "But…you know I'm needed here…"
Koga closed his eyes as the wind picked up once more. "I know. It was worth the shot in asking you…" Koga would open his eyes and stare off into the green plains as he felt the wind blow against his long black hair. He began to remember all of the times that he and Freya would come out here just to sit and enjoy the calm relaxing area. "I'm glad I came back…" He whispered.
Freya opened her eyes and smiled at Koga "I'm glad ye did too. I'm sure with all the stuff that ye run into on your travels it's best to be around familiar faces."
"Well besides fighting a giant spider-women and old teammates that I had to kill. Yeah, it was nice," Koga laughed and so did Freya. Koga would lean off of the fence and stretch "Well I think we've been away for long enough. I'm sure those three are waiting for me."
"Koga…" said Freya as she hops off the fence. Koga turns around to face Freya "When…ye ever get tired of traveling…umm…well…" She rubs her arm and her cheeks turn red.
Koga waited for Freya to muster up what she was going to say. Freya would then shake her head and she walks forward "NEVERMIND! JUST FORGET I SAID ANYTHING!" She yells. "COME ON YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE! MOVE ALONG!"
Koga sighed and chuckled. Koga walks up to Freya and he places his hand on her shoulder. Freya stops walking but she wouldn't look at him. Koga walks around and stood in front of Freya. Freya kept her eyes downward to avoid Koga's gaze. Koga would place his hands on Freya's shoulders softly and say "If I do get tired of my travels and I accomplish everything I needed to do…you'll be the first one I come back home to…"
Freya looks up at Koga. Her bright blue eyes met with Koga's bright green ones. Koga smiled at her and said, "I promise…" In a hushed tone. Freya's eyes gleamed and she smiled at him. Freya takes a step forward. She places her forehead against Koga's chest then wraps her arms around his waist. "It's a promise then…" She whispered to him. Koga wraps his arms around her back and held her close as he closed his eyes.
"Yeah…it is…" Koga whispered to her.

Bean, Elfo, and Luci were sitting at the wagon and looked up at the clouds that passed by. Elfo looks over at Bean as she dug into one of the bags in the wagon and pulled out the black and red Dragon key. "Oh wow, you still have that?" He said as he rises and looks at it.
"Yeah, it's a key to some Dragon area. Too bad we don't know where it is," said Bean as she examines it.
"Oh wow," Elfo looks up at the sky once more. "I could only imagine what a land filled with Dragons looks like…"
"Probably a bunch of lizards just breathing fire everywhere. I'm sure it resembles hell…" said Luci as he followed that up with a yawn.
"Pff no way," Elfo said scowling at Luci "Like Koga said Dragons are majestic and beautiful creatures. When they're not trying to eat us or turn us to ash Of course."
"You weren't saying that when that one Dragon was towering over us," said Luci
"Well, technically we didn't get eaten. We fell through a hole. And if she wanted to get her egg. If she wanted to kill us she would've done it as soon as she saw us!"
"Man, that was a beautiful Dragon too," said Bean. "All the dragons I ever saw were through a book I use to look through when I was a kid. All the Dragons are evil flying creatures, and Dragons burned down this village, and the Knights killed the evil dragon. But the one we saw looked so peaceful. That's why if we ever come across somewhere where this key fits I wanna see ALL the different kinds of Dragons there are." She placed the key to her chest and sighed happily "I can't wait to see the world…"
"What's this about Dragons?" asked Sophie as she, along with Archie and Fergus walked up to the wagon while carrying something under her arm.
"UH UH!" Bean hides the Dragon key behind her back. "We were just talking about Dragons and all…"
"Dragons? Wow I don't think I've ever seen a Dragon before," said Archie as he pondered at the thought.
"You'd piss your pants at the sight of one," said Sophie with a grin.
"No, I wouldn't! How would you know?!" Archie looks over at Sophie with a glare.
"Remember the first troll you faced?" Sophie said as she raised a brow.
"You're evil…" said Archie in defeat.
"I know," Sophie nods proudly. "Anyways I've got something for you Bean! A going-away present!" She hands over the folded black shirt and pants. Bean takes the shirt and she unfolds it. She gasped as it was a defense force outfit. "Oh wow! Thanks, Sophie!"
"You earned it after helping us with that attack," said Fergus "At this point, you're in honaray defense force member."
"Hey wears my gift?" Luci asked glaring at the two.
"Oh um…" Archie began digging in his pocket "Here!" he handed Luci a cookie "Sorry it's all I got haha…"
"Oh wow, thanks…" Luci said as she tossed the cookie away "I'll cherish it forever…"
Elfo looks past Sophie and Archie and he sees Koga and Freya heading their way. "Hey, there they are!" He points forward.
"Did I keep you guys waiting?" said Koga as he places his sword shortsword and greatsword into the wagon.
"YES!" said The trio together.
Elfo said you two were taking too long making out," said Luci
"HEY NO I DIDN'T!" Elfo said quickly.
"He also said that you'd be dominated by Freya," Luci added in
"THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID!" Elfo said shoving Luci.
Archie began to ponder once more. "You know…Freya might be all tough on the outside but she does peg me as the real submissive type." He then paused, "D-Did I say that out loud?"
Freya would then punch Archie straight in the gut causing him to double over. Freya's face reddened with embarrassment "ANYONE ELSE GOT ANYTHING STUPID TO SAY?" She whaled as she glared at everyone.
"Looks like you guys have been having some interesting conversations," said Koga as he gets into the front of the wagon.
Fergus walks over to Koga and looks up at him "Koga it was nice seeing you after all of this time. Please take care on your travels." He said in a fatherly tone.
"It was nice seeing you too Fergus. It was nice seeing all of you again," Koga said looking at Sophie, Freya, Archie-
"WAIT! I HAVEN'T SAID MY GOODBYE'S YET!" whaled Barbra as she hurried over to them.
"Oh there she is! I was thinking you were already tired of me!" Koga laughed
"Oh stop you, trouble-making child! You just make sure you take care of your new friends! Lord knows what you'll get them into!" Barbara said sternly.
"Oh Barbara if only you knew," said Bean shaking her head with a smile.
"I hope you all stop by again! It was nice meeting you three!" Sophie said to Bean, Elfo, and Luci. The next time you guys come by, bring some werebears or something!" Sophie said with a giggle.
"Please ignore what Sophie just said! Just stop by with no more craziness!" Archie pleaded.
"You stay safe out there Bean," Freya said smiling at her.
"No need to worry at all Freya. If they hit back I'll just hit back harder," Bean said confidently.
Freya looks over at Koga. Koga smiled at her and her face turned red. "Stay safe Koga…" she said softly to him.
"As always," Koga in a soft tone.
With that said and done Kogs snaps the reigns and the horses began trotting forward. Everyone waved and shouted a few more goodbyes at the departing traveling group. As Bean finished her goodbyes to everyone back at Southwold. The wind passed by and her white hair flowed in the wind. She brushes it back and looks up at the bright blue sky and the healthy white clouds gliding by in the sky. Bean takes a deep breath and exhales…
Her journey was finally beginning.
