Storm clouds were showering the earth from above, creating a mood of despair for any caught in it. A certain woman especially as she was stumbling through an alley with a bottle of booze in her hands.

"Shit..." She said, turning the bottle upside down, realizing its empty before throwing away.

'Another one come and gone, just like you John.' She thought, remembering and still mourning the husband she lost some time ago.

She stumbled a bit more before falling to the ground, almost passing out in a puddle before everything around her turned to black.

"Sheryl Goodspeed." A female voice said, making Sheryl look up in surprise.

Standing before her, hundreds of feet tall, was a neon pink being with short magenta hair, bangs parted across her face, several small horns across her skull in between her two other large curved horns and a neon pink aura. She had only a single eye, just above a wide mouth and thick lips. Her body was slim and humanoid with her limbs are made of white flames as a long dark pink cape flowed from her back and matching stiletto pumps were in her feet.

"I am the Titan, Pyronica." She said, gazing down at the drunk woman.

"The hell? Either i am hallucinating out of cheap booze or i am actually seeing a space giant or something" She said with a bit of a slur to her words.

"This is no hallucination and this is no dream, Sheryl. I am contacted ting you because the universe is in great danger." Pyronica said as Sheryl turned over.

"Oh yeah? So what? The universe already took my husband from me. What else do I have to lose?" She asked the Titan.

"Your son, Gary Goodspeed." Pyronica said.

Hearing this, Sheryl sat up with an angry expression. Showing that the topic of her son was not a good one.

"What does that little bastard have to do with this or with me?" She asked, her slur fading as her buzz was wearing off.

"Instead of telling you, I will show you." Pyronica said, slowly raising her hand to point at Sheryl. "Behold, the future and fate of Gary Goodspeed."

Suddenly Sheryl could sense her whole body dissapear as soon as it was rematerialized, the blonde haired woman was not on a pitch dark area as if everything else cease to exist, and in front of her was a plenthora of multicolored portals.

"What the hell?!" Sheryl said as she looked around, gazing at all of the portals in shock. "Where am I?!"

"You are at the Nexus of Time. The ultimate point in the universe where all timelines flow to a single point." Pyronia said as her voice echoed in the void. "Here is where you will learn of Gary's fate and future in every timeline."

"Okay then…so where do I start?" Sheryl asked, cuz the sooner this was done was the sooner she could leave.

"Pick a portal, any portal, to gaze in and learn the truth." Pyronica said.

Stil unsure of the veracity of the situation she had no choice but to do so, if all this was really happening the smartest thing to do was to just do as the giant told her, so she picked a blue portal and went to look inside.

'What could be so bad about my bastard son that makes me care?' Sheryl thought as she gazed into the portal, seeing it swirl before forming an image before her eyes.

"You had two options, either give up the mercenary life and be a family woman, or abandon the love of your life for the sake of your job. But you could not just simply choose one could you Sheryl? You wanted both, because you are stubborn, you do not understand the meaning of sacrifice, now see for yourself a small peek at what happens"

Before Sheryl could reply, her eyes began to glow blue just like the portal and before she knew it, she had seen Gary's life after John's funeral. After she left him.

Living in his own.

Surviving on the streets.

Burning the house down.

Constantly getting into trouble.

Meeting a woman named "Quinn."

Being put in a ship for a five year prison sentence.

'Jesus, Gary. Life really kicked you in the nuts after I left.' Sheryl thought before seeing his life get better.

"When a kid loses a parent and there is no one to guide them in life and i mean NO ONE! They have to be creative if they want to survive on the harsh world" The pink Titan spoke.

Gary befriended a strange creature he named "Mooncake."

He befriended a bounty hunter named "Avacado."

He even uncovered a crazy plan by someone named "The Lord Commander" to open a breach and unless untold horrors from somewhere called Final Space.

"What the...why are all these things happening to him out of anyone else?"

"The will of the cosmos is something not even titans understand. If we could, we could've prevented his fate but alas, someone else has worked to ensure it." Pyronica said.

"W-Who?" Sheryl asked as the memories continued.

Gary's countless battles with the Lord Commander.

The death of his best friend, Avocato.

His final battle against the Lord Commander to save Mooncake.

And finally, Gary himself sealing the breach in space and coming fast to fast with the monster that started all of this.

INVICTUS.

"Hello, Gary Goodspeed." Invictus said before attacking.

"WAAAAAAAAAH!" Gary screamed as the memories ended.

Sheryl gasped in shock as she floated back, holding her head in shock.

"W-What was that thing?" She asked.

"The one who has worked to ensure Gary's fate. Invictus." Pyronia said as she appeared above Sheryl again. "And not just in that timeline, in EVERY timeline."

"What? N-No, that can't be." Sheryl said, shaking her heads. "Gary can't die every timeline because of this monster! He can't!"

"See for yourself. And tell me that I am wrong." Pyronica said, gesturing to the other portals.

Nervous but determined, Sheryl began looking in the other portals to see if what she said was true.

And unfortunately, it was true.

Her son, Gary, died in EVERY. SINGLE. TIMELINE. Sometimes before the breach was shut and sometimes after, and each and every death tore Sheryl up inside.

"You seem distressed..." The titan voice felt sarcastic in its tone "I thought you didnt care about him so why does it matter so much?"

Pyronica gazed down at Sheryl, who was in a fetal position in the with tears going down her eyes as she silently cried into her knees.

'Gary…no. Y-You suffered so much because of me…and I…all I cared about what how I felt.' Sheryl thought, digging her fingers into her arms.

"Well, Sheryl. I'm waiting." Pyronica said as Sheryl looked up to her.

"I-I think care because Gary is the only thing in the universe I have left. And I never realized this until it was too late." She said.

"Already feeling like garbage after seeing half the timelines huh? Well color me surprised, you do have a heart. Now that you sobered up would you want to hear my offer?"

"…" Sheryl slowly uncurled from her fetal position as she gazed up at the Titan. "What do you have in mind?"

"A plan to end this cycle of death and pain. To ensure that Gary lives and Invictus remains trapped in Final Space." Pyronica said, reaching down and picking up Sheryl in her hand.

Too tired to question anything anymore after being in a void seeing nothing but pain of her offspring she spoke "What do I have to do?"

"Remember this star date, XX-XX-XXXX, and find your son. He will have been on the Galaxy One servicing his prison sentence for at least one year. You must help prepare him for what is to come and end the cycle or else Invictis will win." Pyronica said, moving her other hand to point at Sheryl's forehead. "And no matter what, Gary must NOT be the one to seal the breach or enter Final Space."

"But...he always ends up being the one to do so, how can I prevent something that happened thousands of times?" She asked, not knowing what to do.

"I'm sure you will find a way but our time has run out for now." Pyronica said as she tapped Sheryl's head.

A rush if information a zapped into her, the date and the exact location where the Galaxy One would be in space, and everything she saw from the previous timelines!

"HUUUUUH!" Sheryl gasped loudly, shooting up from the ground in the alley as the rain continues to fall.

"Bloody hell?" A part of her wanted to say this was all a dream but that was a lie, all of this plus the pain her head was real enough "Oooh shit balls looks like I better stop drinking and keep my shape up"

'If I'm going to save my son, I'm gonna need to clean up my act a bit.' Sheryl thought, standing up and stumbling a bit as she held her head. 'I could care less if Earth is destroyed but I can't let Gary die again…I can't lose him like I lost John.'

It was time for Sheryl Goodspeed to care about someone else for a change...

Someone that actually holds fate of the universe in his hands.

Gary Goodspeed.

-Several years later, the second year of Gary's prison sentence has passed-

"Just another day...in the void of space...just me and my thoughts" Someone said to themselves.

"Gary, you are being overdramatic. It had only been 730 days since your sentence in the Galaxy One began." A male, computerized voice said.

"Well excuse me, HUE, for finding this to be soul crushing outside of my forced job!" The man, Gary, said as he slammed his fists on a table.

"If you did not want to spend so much time here, you should not have commited a crime Gary, use your head"

"Oh screw you, HUE! Like you wouldn't do the same for a spicy lady!" Gary said, crossing his arms.

"You're right, Gary. I wouldn't, because I am smarter than you and I wouldn't stupidly impersonate an Infinity Guard just to hit on a woman out of my league." HUE said.

"…That was just cold, HUE.. That was just ICE. COLD." Gary said, narrowing his eyes.

Gary started to walk through his prison, having much more fredom then most, if only he had ways to entertain himself.

"Why i am the only prisoner here? And why a spaceship? Are normal prisons obsolete?"

"It is because of the actions and record of your father, John Goodspeed. Before his death, he was an Infinity Guard like no other. Due to your connect with them, it was thought that making you work for the Infinity Guard during your prison sentence would make you a better person. Also, possibly recruit you." HUE explained.

"No way...really? Huh...Does that mean I can get a cookie?" He said, with hopeful eyes.

"Not until your prison sentence is complete, Gary." HUE said.

"…That sucks, HUE." Gary said blankly.

"I know, Gary." HUE said before the scanners beeped. "My scanners have picked up an approaching space craft. An astro-cycle to be exact."

"You mean a space motorcycle? Oh that is sick!" Garry said, rushing to the bridge.

Almost like a child window shopping for Candy he went to look at the windows that showed him the infinitude of space to see if he could catch a glimpse of that.

"Gary, this could be a dangerous individual. It is not wise to want to speak them." HUE said.

"Or maybe this could be an incredibly cool dude that wants to save me from this dumbass prison!" Gary said.

"Gary, you know I will not allow that." HUE said.

"Whatever HUE! Gosh I wish a nicer A.I was here who knew how to have a good time but no, all I have is mister rules over there"

"And ME!" A round yellow robot floated over to Gary and hugged him! "You've also got KVN!"

"NO! Stay away, KVN!" Gary shouted as he pushed KVN away. "Don't ever touch me!"

Gary looked back at the windows and gasped in awe, the approaching astro-cycle was coming into view and on board was a mysterious masked rider in a black suit!

"Oh that is TIGHT! Open the bay for them, HUE!" Gary said.

"Gary, again, I advise against this." HUE said.

"And again, HUE, open the bay for them!" Gary said, looking up to the ceiling! "Now! Or I will open it myself!"

"If you do that, I will add one month to your sentence." HUE said.

"Worth it!" Gary shouted.

"Yeah Hue! A stranger is just another tag for friend we didnt make yet, who cares about the possibility of space pirates or that they will harvest our organs!" KVN said in eagerness.

Gary ignored KVN and pushed him away again, rushing down to the docking bay to open the door.

'Hello, new friend!' Gary thought, jumping down the gravity lift with glee.

Upon reaching the bottom floor and rushing to the docking bay, Gary pushed the buttons to let in whoever was riding the Astro-Cycle.

As the docking bay doors slowly opened, the atmosphere in the room changed. The hum of machinery filled the air, and the lights dimmed slightly, casting an eerie glow on the approaching figure. Gary's eyes widened with anticipation as the astro-cycle glided smoothly into the bay, coming to a halt with a soft hiss. The rider dismounted with a fluid motion, their black suit gleaming under the bay lights. The mask obscured their face, adding to the air of mystery.

"Welcome, mysterious traveler, to the Galaxy One!" Gary shouted as the person looked up to him. "My name is Gary Goodspeed and I am the captain!"

"You are not the captain, Gary. You are a prisoner." HUE said.

"Ignore the AI! He's malfunctioning." Gary said.

The rider tilted their head, seemingly studying Gary. A moment of silence stretched before the rider finally spoke, their voice modulated and calm "Your quite skinny, have they been feeding you anything?"

"Oh, what an odd question, but the answer is yes. Though it's just processed "healthy" food mush." Gary said with air quotes.

"It is meant to keep you healthy and full, Gary." HUE said.

"But what about flavor, HUE? It all tastes so bland!" Gary shouted.

"Eh, I see your pain kid, real food needs to be solid enough to make a crunch like a double cheese burger"

"Oh my god, YES! It has been too long since I had a double cheeseburger!" Gary said as KVN floated over to them.

"Ooooh! I would love to have a double cheeseburger! They are so good!" He said as Gary glared at him.

"Again! You can't eat anything! You just smash stuff into your processing slot!" He said as the mystery person climbed up the ladder to them.

"What is this thing?" They asked, gesturing to KVN.

"Apparently he is suppose to be a unit for emotional support for prisoners who get to lonely or something, not sure, wasnt paying attention, but its actually DRIVING ME INSANE!" Gary shouted, trying to punch it.

"Whoa! Whoa, cant hit me hahaha" Keving laughed as he floats away.

Gary kept trying before the stranger pulled out a weapon, an energy cutlass and slashed KVN's arm off!

"OW! WHAT?!" KVN shouted as he and Gary stopped.

"Ups sorry, i tend to get violent when I see space cockroaches" The stranger smiled before its hands went to remove the helemt slowly with another hiss before its slowly removed, showing who was under it.

Gary gasped loudly as he slapped his cheeks.

'OH MY CRAPPITY CRAP!' Gary thought in shock.

Turns out his new friend was a woman, but not just any woman...a legend!

"MOM?!/SHERYL GOODSPEED?!" Gary and HUE shouted in shock.

"Hehehehe, hey kiddo. It's been a while, hasn't it?" Sheryl asked.

'Too long.' Sheryl thought, remembering all of the timelines she saw Gary live and die in.

"Holy space balls! Is that really you? I thought you were either in prison, hunting things or dead" Gary said, looking her up and down as if she was just a ilusion.

"Yeah, I could guess how you'd think that." Sheryl said before she frowned. "But I'm not and I'm…really happy to see you again, Gary."

Sheryl stepped forward and hugged Gary tightly, shocking him to silent tears as he slowly hugged her back.

"Y-You mean it?" He said with a voice that lacked all the sassyness and sillyness HUE learned to deal with for over a year, and now was only the trembling voice of what was once a child wanting the love of a mother.

"I am, Gary. And I'm so sorry I left you all alone all those years ago." Sheryl said as she pulled back.

"B-But why did you leave in the first place?" Gary asked.

Sheryl knew this was going to be awkward, but she knew she couldn't run from this. Not if it meant Gary died again.

"How about we have this conversation in the dinner hall? I got some tasty stuff besides flavorless heath mush." Sheryl said, pointing to her Astro-cycle.

"Oh! Allow me to get your things after I get my arm reattached!" KVN said, picking up his arm and flying off. "KVN will be back!"

"We dont care!" Gary said before turning back to her "I would love that very much so mom"

Sheryl smiled as she hugged Gary again, breaking away and turning back to her bike to get her supplies.

Sheryl and Gary walked towards the dinner hall, the sounds of KVN's distant chatter fading into the background. As they moved through the dimly lit corridors of the ship, Gary's mind raced with questions and emotions. The sterile environment contrasted starkly with the warmth and complexity of the moment he was experiencing.

Upon entering the dinner hall, Gary noticed the array of supplies Sheryl had brought with her. It was a mix of familiar and exotic foods, a testament to her travels and experiences across the galaxy. The room, typically filled with the smell of processed food mush, now had the enticing aroma of freshly cooked meals.

Sheryl quickly set up a makeshift kitchen area, her movements efficient and practiced. As she prepared the food, Gary watched her intently, still processing the reality of her presence.

'It's been so long and she suddenly drops in, or randomly finds me in space? How that happened, I have no clue but…will she leave again or will she stay? I don't really need her anymore but…' Gary thought as he glanced at the fridge, which had two sticky note eyes and lips as "Bethany" was spell in fridge magnets. '…I really went crazy without another human to talk to. I REALLY hope she stays now.'

"Your gonna dig in or are you gonna keep on staring into empty space?" She asked him.

Gary jolted a bit as he saw his mother sitting at the table with him, and two plates of food were in the table between them.

"Oh, sorry! I was just…thinking a bit." Gary said, picking up a fork and taking a bite of the food. "Mmmm! MMMMMMM! Oh my god! What is this?! It's amazing!"

"Real, solid, fresh, food Gary. Just like nature intended for us" She said with a smile.

"Oh it's been too long! This would be even better if I could get one of those cookies!" Gary said, pointing to the cookie dispenser. "Two years and I haven't gotten one!"

"Because, again, you are a prisoner, Gary. Also, one month has been added to your sentence for allowing your mother into the ship." HUE said.

"Did they program you to be a party pooper Hue? Cant you see i am having an emotional mom and son bonding here? Geez read the room!" Gary shouted.

"Perhaps you need to read the room because your mother has been hiding-"

"I will be the one to tell him, HUE. Try to interfere, I'll rip this ship apart and yank your AI right out of it." Sheryl said, glaring at the ceiling.

"…Very well." HUE said before becoming quiet.

"What does he mean by that?" Gary asked, looking at her.

Sheryl have a sigh as she dreaded this, even if she spent two years mentally preparing herself, actually doing it would be even tougher than she'd expected.

"I'm going to tell you how I meet your father and why I left in the first place. And…you'll hate me for it but I'll accept it either way." Sheryl said.

'Kind of a little late.' Gary thought since he already did hate his mother a little.

"Star from the beggining I guess" He said.

Sheryl nodded before taking a sip of her drink.

"Before I met your father, I was a member of an organization named "The Federation." We were like the Infinity Guard but more willing to do dirty work to achieve our goals." Sheryl said.

"Like mercenaries then?" Gary asked.

"Kind of like that, yes." Sheryl said with a nod.

"Did they made you leave Earth?" He asked.

"Countless times for countless missions. I was one of their best agents, but it wasn't until one certain mission, that I was called back to Earth." Sheryl said, taking a bite of her food. "My mission was to seduce an agent of the Infinity Guard and steal the information for a top secret device from him."

"Meaning dad?" Gary asked.

"Oooh! Female Fatale!" Kevin said.

"Gah! Go away Kevin! Stop eavesdroping" Gary shouted.

Sheryl glared at KVN, making the robot shiver in fear as he quickly float away.

"Anyway, I accepted the mission and went to your father…and I did seduce him but in turn, he seduced me as well." She said with a small smile. "I fell in love with him."

"Awwwnn thats nice, its like one of those old classick earth movies where the job becomes much more then that" Gary said with a smile.

"Yeah, it was. I didn't forgot my mission but over time, I just…stopped caring about it. Years pasted and after I got the information, I was going to quit The Federation and be with John full time." Sheryl said before she frowned. "But…things took a turn for the worse when your father found out."

"You mean you never told him?" Gary asked in surprise.

"How could I tell him? No I did not, was too much of a coward for that. Instead I tried to keep on making excuses" She said, head down in shame.

"So, you left because of that?" Gary asked.

"Yes. When John found out, he demanded I leave and never come back" Sheryl said "I lost not just my job, but the love of my life that day and lots of regret"

"And the day of his funeral?" Gary asked.

"…I unfairly took all of it out on you. I kept telling myself it was all your fault when I was the one to blame." Sheryl said.

"Should I book therapy sessions under your book reading session gary?" HUE asked.

"SHUT UP, HUE!" Gary screamed at him, surprising the ship ai.

"Nah he is right Gary, Im not a good mom i admit that much, I spended way too much time just doing whatever the hell I wanted, whenever I wanted, with no consequences, only caring about myself, so when I started caring about something else, I didnt know how to keep it, and it escaped through my fingers" She said, looking crestfallen.

"So…what does that mean now?" Gary asked.

"It means, I want to stay and I want to help my son this time. No running, no blaming, I just…want to be back in your life for however much time either of us has left in the universe." Sheryl said, looking at him.

'I won't let you die again, Gary. I won't!' She thought.

"Im not...I dont know...who is to say your not lying?" Gary asked.

"I'll do anything to prove it. Just name it, Gary." Sheryl said, almost begging in a way.

"Uhm..." Gary felt put on the spot, he never thought this situation would happen but now that it did...now what?

He had always imagined this situation, where he could demand anything from his mother to make up for leaving him 20 or so years ago…but now that he is in this situation, what could he possibly ask when she's offering to stay?

"I...I would like to spend time with you like actual mom and son and see the great things the universe has to offer"

That made Sheryl smile as she cried a bit.

"I would love nothing more, Gary." She said to him.

"As sweet as this is, you are still a prisoner, Gary. Your mother staying, while it would make your time more enjoyable, might hinder your job." HUE said.

"I thought my job was to be miserable in here while listening to Kevin constant mockery" Gary said dryly.

"Actually I'm designed to prevent you from going insane with over a thousand riddles and games!" KVN said, poking back into the room.

"You have never done that EVER!" Gary shouted at him.

"Want me to take you out of here?" She whispered to him.

"If you try to take Gary off the Galaxy One before his prison sentence is over, I will be forced to inject a nanite bomb into his blood stream." HUE threatened.

"WHAT?! How the fuck in hell do you have those things? Are you really gonna use something that expensive on a single prisoner?" Gary said, getting really annoyed with HUE, not as much as Kevin but still.

"I am full of surprises, Gary." HUE said simply.

Sheryl just glared up at the ceiling, making a silent vow to prevent that from happening and possibly destroying the ship's AI to do it.

'Nobody is taking my son from me again. NOBODY.' She thought.

Taking a deep breath Sheryl tried to calm down before talking again.

"What if I stay here on the ship with my son, following all your rules until his little time is out? Will that be enough?"

"I suppose so, but will you aid him if such a time arises? Gary is a rather lazy person." HUE said.

"Only because all I ever do is work and be bored out of my mind! None of the robots ever want to play cards!" Gary whined.

"They are meant to defend the ship from intruders, Gary. The only reason they are not going off against your mother now is because I didn't give the signal. They do not play cards." HUE said.

"Really? You can't have them be friendly?" Sheryl asked.

"No." HUE said blankly.

Gary groaned again before slamming his face down in the table.

'This better be my last day of boredom hell.' He thought.

-Timeskip, almost 3 years later-

Sheryl was brushing her teeth in her quarters after waking up, looking at the mirror to see nothing but her reflection. Not believing she actually spended three years in this ship, but she did not want to risk the ships A.I possibly hurt Gary before she could leave.

And speaking of Gary, it had been very since to spend some time with him after a many years away.

Talking to him, working with him, cooking with him, playing cards with him. Just making up for all the time she lost and enjoying the time she had left was a reward like no other.

Even if the annoying Kevin and the unfair HUE had to be a part of that day, surely Destroying Kevin would not be seen as a criminal act right?

'Despite that annoying robot, this time with Gary has been wonderful. Despite these circumstances.' Sheryl thought as she spat in the sink.

Today was just another day, a bit boring but thats better then falling off drunk on a alleway.

'Better go wake up Gary before HUE throws him out of bed again. Moon cake is probably with him as well." Sheryl said as she exited the bathroom.

Walking through the Shipp halls, Sheryl wanted to make sure she didnt meet Kevin as she did not want her morning to be ruined right away, but her son room was not too far away, so after a few seconds she was just outside the door before knocking.

"Gary! Time to get up!" Sheryl said through the door.

Only to be met with silence as Gary and Mooncake were still sleeping. She chuckled a bit as she shook her head.

This felt like a mom trying to wake up their teenage son who didnt want to go to school, but it was better she woke him up so Sheryl entered the room even after no one talked.

"Up and at em, sweetheart!" Sheryl said, turning on the light to see Gary sleeping in bed with Mooncake in his chest.

"Ugh, mom. Just give more minutes." Gary said, turning his head.

"Sorry, love. Either I wake you up or HUE literally flings you out of bed. You know which one is more pleasant." Sheryl said with a shrug.

Gary groans in frustration but does it anyway "Man this place has become much more bearable ever since you got here"

"Choocatie!" Mooncake said as he floated up, smiling at Sheryl.

"Man you really only say those words huh? I wonder if we can find a universal translator for you" She said petting him on the head.

"That would be very useful in getting answers on where Mooncake came from." HUE said.

"Oh good morning to you too HUE, dont you have any translator on your systems for alien species or something?" Gary said with not a lot of enthusiasm.

"Unfortunately not, Gary. I am not equip with that technology." HUE said as Gary got up.

"Then don't comment unless it's constructive." Gary said, stretching and popping his joints. "Ugh, I'm gonna get a shower before morning workout. Maybe ask Avacato if he wants to join."

"Heh you and him became great friends that fast?" Sheryl asked.

"Hells yeah, mom. We clasped hands, that is the ultimate sign of friendship there is." Gary said as his voice for a little low. "Unbreakable and unstoppable, like a steam roller."

Sheryl giggled at his speech as Gary walked past her with Mooncake following.

"Where does he come up with this stuff? It's inspiring but also crazy." She said before heading to the kitchen to make breakfast.

"Good morning everyone, please come to the control room, I appear to have a few...certain news to share I have seen by accident" HUE said to everyone.

"News? What new, HUE? Good or bad?" Gary asked, pausing to his shower.

"I have intercepted a resistance message from the Infinity Guard"

"A resistance message? What resistance?" Gary asked.

"I can answer that." Avocato said, walking up to Gary from behind. "I heard rumors that a resistance movement was being made to fight against the Lord Commander but I didn't believe it. At least until now."

"So you're saying that we intercepted a top secret message that could lead to the downfall of the guy that ripped off my arm?" Gary asked, gesturing to his left, robotic, replacement arm.

"Yes, Gary. That is the full possibility." HUE said.

"Then forget my shower! This is more important!" Gary shouted, rushing back to his room to get dressed.

"Uh oh! Stinky alert! hahaha" Kevin said, laughing.

"Ugh. KVN, not now please." Avocato said as he walked to the bridge.

"Hmmm...man this is too good to be true, what do you guys think? Should we take a look at it?" Gary asked.

"I'm not sure myself but if this Lord Commander is doing something WORSE than what he has planning, somebody needs to stop him." Sheryl said, walking in with some sandwiches. "Sorry, had to rush breakfast and make these."

"That's fine, Sheryl." Avocato said as he and Gary grabbed one.

"Play the message, HUE!" Gary said.

"Playing message from the start" HUE said as the screen came to life.

The screen was blurry until it showed a man in an Infinity Guard uniform, including a white helmet, and covered in various damages. He was sitting against an alien tree and looking around to be sure he was safe.

"Resistance, if you get this message, then my cover has been blown. And our fears are worst that we could've possibly imagined." He said, holding his arm in pain.

"Oooh great, bad news the more the merrier." Avocato said.

"My thoughts exactly." Sheryl said before she ate her sandwich.

"In the planet, there's an Infinity Guard outpost that is filled with agents of the Lord Commander. Pretty much ALL of the Infinity Guard serves that creep. And what they're doing here is insane!" The spy said before the screen changes to show a giant laser. "With this laser, they firing concentrated energy into a breach in reality to open some sort of gateway to-"

"Final Space." Everyone said, remembering when Lord Commander said to them when they rescued Mooncake.

"Jinx! You all own me a space soda" Kevin said.

"Shut up, KVN, before I blast with a laser!" Gary shouted at him.

"Seriously. Shut up so we can hear the whole message KVN." HUE said to him.

The message continues as a picture of the planet was shown as well as coordinates.

"Please hurry as fast as too can to this planet or else the entire universe could be-"

"Here's over here! I found him!" An Infinity Guard shouted, making the spy flinch.

"Shit! I've gotta go! If I don't make it, just please. Stop this laser and stop the Lord Commander!" The spy said as he got up to run again, ending the message.

"Well that just happened, should I get the guns or?..." Sheryl started.

"I was gonna ask the same thing." Avocato said with a smile.

"Are you all sure that you wish to do this?" HUE asked.

"Why not, HUE? If this is real, then that little green douche needs to be stopped!" Gary said, punching his hand.

"Im just suggesting that perhaps is a bit too dangerous for us, and we do not have a plan" HUE said logicaly.

"Here's the plan! We go to the planet, sneak in, destroy the laser controls so it can't be used or set up explosives to destroy from the inside, and get out! Boom! Instant plan!" Gary said with a confident grin.

"I like the part about the explosives." Avocado said with a nod.

"It's a simple plan but sometimes those are the best. Plus, I am a master of stealth and silent breaking and entering." Sheryl said, cocking her hip to the side with a hand on it.

"HUE, do you have any additional intel on the outpost's location or any possible weaknesses?"

"Unfortunately, the message didn't include specifics on the location," HUE replied. "However, I can analyze the frequency of the transmission to trace its origin. It may take some time, but it's our best shot."

"Get it done, HUE! We've got no time to waste!" Gary said as Mooncake floated next to him.

"Chookitty!" Mooncake said with a smile.

"Well it appears we are going on a suicidal mission" Kevin said "jOY!"

'Hopefully only suicidal for you, KVN.' The trio thought as HUE found the location the message originated from and warmed up the light fold engines.

This was going to be a hard mission but if they didnt do anything the universe was doomed at the hands of that lunatic hungry for power, that could not be allowed.

'If we can pull this off, it's one more step to Gary bit sacrificing himself.' Sheryl thought, still focused on saving her son thank to Pyronica.

"Lets do this" She said with all the seriousness she could muster.

Once they reached the planet and landed a few miles away from the Infinity Guard base, the group exited the Galaxy One with their weapons in tow.

Avocato especially since he looked like a walking armory.

"KVN, stay with the ship and don't touch anything!" Gary said to him.

"And if you do, I'll take you apart piece by piece and remake you into a toaster." Sheryl added.

"Awwwnn you guys agressivity is like friendship to my circuits" KVN said like the annoying weird metal ball he was.

"Dear god, you are an anomaly. A very, VERY annoying anomaly." Gary said before walking ahead. "Okay, let's go, guys! You too, Mooncake!"

"WHOOOOOOOOOA!" Mooncake cheered, flying to Gary.

Sheryl looked at everyone "Ok guys we are armed and we got a plan, lets stick to it and we all managed to get out of here alive and victorious"

"Great plan, mom unit." Gary said with a thumbs up.

"Sounds good to me." Avocato said before a large alien butterfly flew up to him. "Huh?"

"Awww! Look at this little-" Gary was cut off by a master bolt killing the creature. "OH MY CRAP!"

"Sorry, love, but that creature wasn't for show." Sheryl said, blowing smoke off her blaster. "I've come across that species before, they produce a pollen that shrinks you down to the size of a toy. Makes you easier to kill."

"Christ! I forget sometimes how dangerous space can be, especially pretty things" Gary said.

"And Mooncake with his deadly laser." Acocato asked.

The trio looked up at Mooncake, seeing him eating random bugs and feeling them wiggling in his stomach.

"Ooooooh." Moon cake let out.

"Sometimes you forget how deadly he is when being silly like that" Sheryl said with a smile.

"Hehehehe, yeah. I mean look at that little rascal! He's like in his own little world and he loves every moment of it." Gary said with a smile as they kept walking.

As they continued their journey toward the Infinity Guard outpost, the group moved cautiously through the terrain.

"Keep your eyes peeled," Avocato whispered, his voice low and vigilant. "There could be scouts or traps around."

Sheryl nodded, keeping her blaster ready. "Gary, stay close. We don't want you wandering off and falling into some alien quicksand or something."

Gary chuckled nervously "Yeah, yeah, I got it, Mom. No wandering off. I'm not five anymore"

"Could've fooled me," Avocato muttered, smirking.

Suddenly, Mooncake paused mid-air, his round body stiffening as his big eyes narrowed. "Chookity...pa-pow," he whispered ominously.

"What's up, little buddy?" Gary asked, looking up at him.

Mooncake's eyes darted ahead, and a moment later, the sound of heavy footsteps and the faint chatter of Infinity Guard soldiers reached their ears.

"Great, we got company," Sheryl whispered.

"So we're starting the fighting early? I'm game." Avocato said with a smirk.

"I mean, I'm up for it but I think we should hide and possibly follow them back to the base. Sneak in right after they go in." Gary suggested.

"I prefer blasting and taking names but sure lets be quiet" Sherly said.

"Me too but even I can understand that stealth is needed." Avocato said as he looked over all of his weapons. "Kind of regretting bringing all of this now."

"Its too late to feel regret pussycat, keep those weapons tight because once we no longer need to hide im going full battle mode, now lets move!" Sherly said.

The group stayed quiet as the guard group marched through this part of the woods, slowly coming out of hiding and briskly following them form a distance until they reached the infinity guard outpost.

"Okay, we're here," Avocato whispered, crouching beside Gary and Sheryl. "What's next, stealth master?"

Gary squinted at the outpost, taking in the guard rotations and the possible blind spots. "Alright, the guards are sticking to a pretty tight patrol pattern, but there are some gaps between their shifts. We wait for them to pass, sneak around the perimeter, and find a way in through one of those maintenance tunnels."

Sheryl nodded. "Sounds good. Let's hope this 'plan' of yours holds up, Gary."

Mooncake floated beside them, watching the guards with a concentrated look. "Chookity chook!" he whispered excitedly.

As they waited, the tension grew. The Infinity Guard soldiers continued their patrols, passing by the group's hiding spot without noticing them. Gary's heart pounded in his chest, but he kept his breathing steady. He knew one wrong move could blow their cover, and they'd be in for a fight they might not win.

Finally, the moment came. The patrol group moved past them, and a narrow window opened up. "Now!" Gary hissed, and the group sprang into action.

The group rushed around the perimeter, careful not to set off an alarm or get noticed, as they saw a maintenance tunnel around the back of the camp.

They moved quickly and quietly, keeping to the shadows. Avocato took point, his sharp eyes scanning for any signs of movement or traps. Sheryl followed close behind, her blaster at the ready. Gary stayed in the middle, with Mooncake hovering silently over his shoulder.

hey reached the perimeter of the outpost, pressing themselves against the cold metal wall of the outer fence. "There," Avocato whispered, pointing to a small, barely noticeable hatch near the base of the wall. "Looks like a maintenance entrance."

Gary nodded. "Alright, let's get that open. Mooncake, keep an eye out."

Mooncake nodded and floated up slightly to get a better vantage point. "Chookity-pok!" he chirped softly.

Sheryl moved to the hatch and started working on the lock with a small tool from her utility belt. The seconds ticked by like hours as she carefully bypassed the security measures.

"We're in." Sheryl said, moving back and opening the hatch. "Let's go, boys"

The group quickly slipped inside, finding themselves in a dimly lit maintenance corridor. The air was stale, and the hum of machinery filled the space around them.

"Okay, we're in," Gary said softly. "Now we find the control room, disable that laser, and get the hell out of here."

"Let's hope this place isn't crawling with more guards," Avocato muttered.

"One way to find out," Sheryl replied with a smirk. "Stay sharp, boys."

The pressed in through the maintainace corridor, still on guard for any other agents of the Infinity Guard/Lord Commander's followers.

'Oh god, could Quinn be one of his followers?' Gary thought in worry.

His new worst nightmare was now how dream girl working for the biggest and baddest villain in the universe.

"I dont like this...everything is going way too easy" Sheryl said.

"Yeah, like we're being lead into a trap." Gary said, narrowing his eyes.

Avocato sniffed the air, glancing around.

"I don't smell any else in this tunnel but I think I can hear something ahead." He said.

Sheryl nodded, gripping her blaster tightly. "Keep your eyes and ears open. We can't afford to let our guard down, not even for a second."

They moved deeper into the maintenance corridor, their footsteps soft against the metal floor. The sound of distant machinery grew louder, and a faint glow appeared at the end of the tunnel.

"Stay close," Gary whispered. "If this is a trap, we need to be ready to fight our way out."

As they approached the source of the light, the corridor opened up into a larger room filled with pipes and wiring. In the center of the room was a console, blinking with various lights and symbols.

"That must be a control panel," Sheryl whispered. "Looks like it's hooked up to the laser."

Gary nodded, moving toward the console with caution. "Alright, let's see if we can shut this thing down."

Just as he reached the panel, an alarm blared throughout the room. Red lights flashed, and a heavy metal door slammed shut behind them.

"Dammit!" Sheryl cursed, spinning around to face the door. "I knew it was too easy."

The sound of boots echoed through the corridor outside, getting closer. Gary frantically tapped on the console, trying to find a way to disable the alarm or open the door.

"Hurry, Gary!" Avocato urged, aiming his blasters at the entrance. "We don't have much time!"

"I'm trying, I'm trying!" Gary muttered, his fingers flying over the buttons. "Come on, come on... got it!"

The alarm cut off abruptly, and the red lights stopped flashing. The heavy door behind them remained closed, but the sound of approaching guards didn't stop.

"That bought us a little time," Sheryl said, her eyes narrowing. "But we're still trapped in here."

Avocato glanced around, spotting a ventilation shaft above them. "We can try to make our way out through there."

Gary looked up at the shaft, then back at the closed door. "Let's go for it. Mooncake, you're up first."

Mooncake floated up to the vent, his small body fitting easily into the narrow opening. "Chookity!" he chirped, squeezing through.

"Mom, you're next." Gary said, cupping his hands.

"You two better be behind us." Sheryl said before stepping into Gary's hand and being hoisted up to the ventilation shaft.

"We will but not before leaving them a little surprise." Avocato said, dropping all of the weapons he brought and tinkering with one. "A little overcharge and all of these will go off like fireworks."

"How long til they go boom?" Gary asked.

"3 minutes, more than enough." Avocato said as he finished tinkering, throwing the blaster in the pile. "Come on, let's go!"

Avocato helped Gary into the vent before he jumped up, closing it behind them as they crawled to another part of the base.

As they crawled through the narrow ventilation shaft, the sound of footsteps and muffled voices filled the air behind them. The guards had reached the control room and were searching for them.

"Let's keep moving," Sheryl whispered, crawling ahead. "We need to put as much distance between us and them as possible."

Gary nodded, his breath quick and shallow. "Man, I hope this vent doesn't lead us into another trap."

Avocato, crawling behind him, chuckled quietly. "For once, I'm with you on that one."

Mooncake floated ahead, occasionally peeking out through the grates to check their surroundings. "Chookity chook," he whispered, his voice almost too low to hear.

A few moments later, a loud explosion reverberated through the base, shaking the vents and sending a wave of heat through the metal shaft. The guards' shouts turned to panicked screams.

"That's our cue," Avocato said, a grin forming on his face. "Nice work with the distraction, Gary."

"Yeah, yeah," Gary muttered, still nervous. "Now let's find a way out before things get worse."

They continued crawling until they reached another grate, looking down into what appeared to be a storage room filled with crates and equipment. It was empty, but they could hear distant shouting and alarms blaring outside.

"Looks like a good spot to drop down," Sheryl said, carefully removing the grate. "Let's get moving."

One by one, they climbed out of the vent and dropped into the storage room, landing softly on the floor below. Sheryl signaled for them to spread out and check the exits.

"We need to find a way to shut down the rest of the security systems," she whispered. "If we can do that, we'll have a better chance of getting out of here without being swarmed."

Gary nodded and looked around the room. "There's gotta be another terminal or control panel around here somewhere..."

Suddenly, Mooncake's eyes widened, and he let out a soft, urgent "Chookity!" He floated over to a stack of crates and pointed to a hidden panel behind them.

"Good eye, little guy," Gary said, rushing over to the panel. "Let's see if I can work some magic again."

"Do you know how to work that thing?" Avocato asked.

"You don't spend nearly five years imprisoned on a ship without learning a thing or two." Gary said before pulling off the panel and revealing various wires inside.

"Not bad son" Sheryl said with a nod.

'I've taught him well.' Sheryl thought, knowing she's shown her a thing or two during her stay in the Galaxy One.

"How long do you need?" Avocato said as he watched Gary work with the wires.

"Not too long just a few minutes, two to three max"

"No problem, Gary. Just do your thing." Sheryl said as she pulled out a energy cutlass.

Avocato reached behind and pulled out spare laser pistols, ready to kill any other guards that found them.

The tension in the room was palpable as Gary continued working on the panel, his fingers dancing over the wires as he muttered under his breath. "Almost there... Just need to bypass this last circuit..."

Sheryl stood guard, her energy cutlass humming softly in her hand, eyes sharp for any sign of movement. Avocato, armed to the teeth, took a defensive stance near the door, listening for approaching footsteps.

Suddenly, a faint clattering noise echoed from the hallway outside. Avocato's ears perked up. "We've got company," he whispered, gripping his blasters tightly.

Sheryl turned her head, her voice low but urgent. "Gary, how much longer?"

"Just a few more seconds," Gary said, his voice strained with concentration.

The sound of footsteps grew louder, accompanied by the distant murmur of guards communicating through their helmets. The tension mounted as the seconds stretched into what felt like hours.

Finally, Gary let out a small cheer. "Got it!" He stood up and wiped his forehead, the panel flickering to life as he disabled the security systems. The alarms cut off abruptly, and the distant whirring of automatic defenses went silent.

"Perfect timing," Avocato said with a smirk as the door to the storage room burst open.

"Intruders! Put your hands up now!" One guard shouted.

"How about you fuck off?" Sheryl shouted before she threw her cutlass at him, impaling him!

"Damn! That was sick" Avocato said, impressed.

"Thanks, love!" Sheryl said before charging at the guards!

"Fire!" One shouted as they all began firing their asters.

Avocato was quick to fire back as Gary took cover, grabbing the blaster from the dead guard.

"Get the hell out, cant you see we are busy?!" He screaemd before blasting.

"You broke into our base!" One said before he was shot in the head'

"Damn right, we did!" Avocato said as he blasted them with glee.

"Lets move! We gotta go, its so close guys" Gary said.

After an intense shootout, Gary's team was left standing in the room.

"Let's move! We gotta go, it's so close guys" Gary said, turning to his mother. Avocato, and Mooncake.

"Lead the wa-"

PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW!

Suddenly, all of them were disarmed by laser fire as Sheryl was also hit in the thigh!

"AAAAH!" She screamed, falling to a knee.

"MOM!" Gary said in shock to her.

"Nobody moves!" A voice shouted, making Gary freeze.

'No. It can't be.' Gary thought, turning back to the entrance and saw…

"Quinn?" He asked, seeing the woman of his dreams standing with a large blaster aimed at them.

"You know her?" Avocato asks.

"T-That cant be...your...your suppsoe to be the good guy" Gary said, crestfallen.

"Looks like she was bought just like the rest of the infinity dweebs" Sheryl said defiantly.

"Everything I do, I do for the Infinity Guard." Quinn said before cocking the blasted. "Now, you all are going to come with me or else I'm going to crush you all in a condensed miniature black hole."

Gary's heart sank, the weight of Quinn's words pressing heavily on him. His dream girl, the one he had admired for so long, was now standing against him with cold precision. "Quinn, this isn't you..." he murmured, desperation in his voice. "You're not like them."

Quinn's face remained stern, but there was a flicker of hesitation in her eyes. "Gary, don't make this harder than it has to be. This is bigger than you and me. The Infinity Guard is trying to protect the gala-"

"Protect?!" Sheryl spat, wincing as she clutched her injured thigh. "Don't kid yourself! The Infinity Guard has done nothing but be a scaredy cat! You're just a puppet for that psycho Lord Commander"

"Everything he's done is for the betterment of the universe! He's seen what lies beyond the breach, an entirely new universe of possibilities! It could change everything we know about life and death!" Quinn said to them, gazing at Mooncake. "And that little ball right there, he's the key to all of it!"

"Chookity..."

Mooncake may not speak their language but anyone hearing that tone of voice could already think that whatever he was saying it wasnt nice.

"Damn it..." Gary now on his knees aceppts his fate "Im sorry guys"

"No, Gary. This isn't on you." Avocato said.

"Don't let this mad woman convince you that you made a mistake." Sheryl said, slowly getting over the pain of her shot thigh.

"That's enough out of all of you. Now, you will all come with me and NOTHING will stop the breach from opening." Quinn said, walking over to Gary.

"What do you think is gonna happen once he opens that breach?" He asks.

"The universe will be filled with a brilliant light and then, there will be no more death." Quinn said.

"Because there's not gonna be anymore life!" Sheryl said.

"At first but not at second." Quinn said before pointing the laser right in Gary's face. "Now get up or I put you down."

Being in a state of despair, Gary did as she said and stood up while holding his hands up.

"Gary, you can't!" Sheryl said in worry, fearing the timelines she seen before would repeat themselves.

"You, help her up, now." Quinn said, pointing the laser to Avocato.

The catman growled before helping Sheryl up, allowing Quinn to point them out of the storage room. She guided them all the way up to the control room of the laser, where nobody but them were present.

"Why did you bring us here?" Gary asked as Mooncake floated over to his shoulder.

"I am going to show you that what lies inside of Final Spce will save this universe. And to make sure nothing stops the sequence…" Quinn said before she blasted all of the consoles. "Now nothing will stop the laser."

'Crazy bitch actually believes this, what lie did you told her lord commander?' Sheryl said, annoyed at this situation, already wishing she could have shot her for being that stupid.

"Quinn, please. It's not too late to join the good guys. We can stop the Lord Commander together." Gary said, still hoping Quinn was still good.

"Pfft! Please! You think you're the good guys?" Quinn said before pointing at Mooncake. "That is a living ball of destroy that can destroy a planet in blast."

"Chookity." Mooncake said, denying this.

"You are a bounty hunter that sold your own home planet." Quinn said, pointing to Avocato.

"You don't know me, lady." Avocato said with a glare.

"You are a woman who's on so many wanted lists, they could cover your back as tattoos." Quinn said, pointing at Sheryl.

"You can't judge me, you bitch." Sheryl said to her, finally standing on her two feet.

"And you. To me, you're the worst and dumbest out of all of them." Quinn said, pointing her blaster at Gary again

"Whoa whoa! Are you still mad about that time I tried to impersonate a infinity guard to impress you? Because I feel your extra angry with me" Gary said.

"Of course I'm angry about that! You cost the Infinity Guard BILLIONS after that stunt but not only that, you clog my message inbox of your asinine, worthless video logs during your prison sentence! Let me make this PAINFULLY clear! You are nothing more than a pathetic, ignorant, man child who will die alone! Hell, I read your file after you are arrested! With all the shit you and your family has done, I'm surprised nobody has gone back in time and killed you when you were a baby!" Quinn said, making sure every word stung and broke Gary inside.

Sheryl was having enough of that little bitch though, she had to find an opening to attack Quinn, just one and she would pay for this.

Gary looked down, sad and embarassed "I-I just wanted to find something to keep me sane when I was trapped in that ship for so long withouth human contact, I didnt know you felt that way"

"Yeah, well now you now. So just stand there and wait for the breach to be opened before I take you and the green puffball to the Lord Commander." Quinn said, turning her gaze to Mooncake for a moment.

A moment Sheryl was happy to use to attack.

With the precision of a veteran mercenary, she jumped towards Quinn, wrapping her legs around her torso in one jump, putting her in a hold that made her drop her gun and fall on the ground.

"I just had enough of your bullshit girly!"

"UGH! Get off me!" Quinn shouted, trapped in an arm bar choke by Sheryl!

"Gary! Avocato! Try to stop the laser before it's too late!" Sheryl said, keeping her grip on Quinn.

"You heard her, Gary! Let's go!" Avocato said as he ran to the remains of the control consoles.

But Gary wasn't moving, still in his depressed and nearly broken state because of Quinn's words.

"God damn it man, get up! This isnt about her, is about the universe, so instead of acting like a broken heart man, we need a hero!" Avocato said.

"Chookity pock!" Mooncake let out, slamming himself into Gary's back to get him up.

Gary grit his teeth in frustration as tears rolled down his eyes "Fuck..." He stood up and ran with Avocato.

"NO! Don't even think about trying to stop the beam!" Quinn shouted before Sheryl moved, popping her shoulder! "AAAH!"

"Quit, you!" Sheryl said.

"Unhand me you mercenary thief scum!" Quinn tries to free herself, focusing more on the fight now against Sheryl hold.

"Never!" Sheryl said, glancing at her son and Avocato working with the consoles.

Trying to repair the damaged buttons and wires enough for an emergency shutdown or something to stop the giant laser.

"Shit! The controls are all fucked up, its gonna take some time to untangle this mess, look Gary im sorry that your girl crush turn out to be evil but you know whats better then feeling sad? Revenge! So lets show her why she doesnt mess with our gorup"

"Yeah, you're right! Besides, there's more than one fish in the sea for this killer bass, right?" Gary asked, referring to himself.

"Ugh! I think I'm gonna hurl!" Quinn said.

"SHUT UP!" Sheryl and Avocato shouted at her.

"Okay, ignoring that hurtful reply, the control are too damaged to work but I have another way to shut this baby down!" Gary shouted before looking at Mooncake, Mooncake, shoot the laser!"

"WHAT?!" The three of them shouted in shock, looking at Gary.

"You want to destroy this laser with another laser?" Sheryl asked her son.

"Yes, I do!" Gary said to her.

"ARE YOU INSANE?!" Quinn shouted at Gary.

"YES, I AM!" Gary said before pointing at the laser. "Shoot the laser, Mooncake!"

"Chookity?!" Mooncake asked with a serious face.

"Shoot the laser!" Gary replied!

"Chookity?!"

"Shoot the laser!"

"Chookity?!"

"Shoot the laser!"

"CHOOKITY?!"

"SHOOT THE LASER!" Gary, Avocato, and Sheryl shouted at him.

"NO!" Quinn shouted.

Mooncake moved his body in a way that seemed as if he was giving his own version of a shrug and saying "Alrighty then" before its body started to glow up and charge as if he was powering up through a hundred nuke fusion cores worth of plasma about to go off.

"CHOOKITY...PA!"

Opening his mouth, Mooncake unleashed a giant green laser beam! Tearing through the giant space laser like butter to stop its firing sequence,…and also slicing through the moon the orbited the planet they were on in the process.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

Everyone shut their eyes from the sudden moon explosion, looking back up to see it was cut clean in half and several fragments were heading right for the base!

"Oh. My. Crap." Gary said slowly.
