The Oni and the Dragon
In the middle of the ocean where there are rocks, some seagulls were flying around while the Destiny's Bounty landed over the water while Melissa and Lloyd walked towards Harumi, who was looking around. "Is this… where we will be living?" She asked in confusion as she turned to the Ninjas of Yin and Yang.
"Just until we know you're safe." Lloyd said to her.
"And most of our usual hideouts are unavailable and we are currently fixing up the original Monastery so this is the best we can do." Melissa told her.
"But don't you already have a headquarters, like the Airjitzu Temple?" Harumi asked.
"It's too in the open." Lloyd said to her. "The Sons of Garmadon will be looking for us."
"So that's why we have to keep moving to avoid detection." Melissa added as she and Lloyd guided Harumi to the bridge where the others were.
"So, Harumi, looks like we're gonna be… roomies for a while." Cole joked, trying to lighten the mood while the others didn't laugh.
"You all have been so gracious to take me in again since our palace was… taken away." Harumi said with a sad look. "And…"
"You're safe with us." Jay said with a smile.
"That assumption is not entirely justified, Jay." Zane commented as he rubbed his chin. "We know very little about the Sons of Garmadon's full capabilities."
"We know nothing about them. Period." Kai clarified.
"We do know they're after the three Oni Masks." Nya said as she brought up the two masks the Sons of Garmadon have on the monitor. "Unfortunately, they already have two of them."
"Pixal scanned everywhere for the third mask, but it came up empty." Zane informed them. "It's as if it… never existed."
"Then we need to focus on who's giving the orders." Lloyd spoke up.
"Yeah, a group this organized must have a leader. Not a common criminal, this is more smarter than usual." Melissa stated.
"Maybe someone from our past?" Jay suggested while rubbing his chin. "Like Pythor?"
"No, Pythor hates Garmadon, remember?" Melissa reminded him.
"Oh, right." Jay said in embarrassment.
"Uh, forgive me for interrupting, but is that… underwear?" Harumi asked as she picked up the underwear with a cringed look as Jay gave an embarrassing look as he quickly swiped them from her hands and hid them behind his back.
"We're usually more organized-" Jay started as he clears his throat while the others give him a teasing look. "-but our leader got lost in a Time Stream. They're Cole's."
"They're blue!" Cole exclaimed while giving Jay a look.
Kai gave a laugh. "You're lucky they're not yellow." He joked while Harumi gave a disturbed look while Lloyd and Melissa gave him a look.
"Ignore them, they're idiots." Melissa said to her.
"Hey!" The three boys said as Nya worked on the monitor again of a Son of Garmadon Lloyd and Melissa caught that one night.
"What about the suspect captured at the heist in Borg Tower?" Nya suggested. "I can stay behind with Harumi if you wanna press him on who he works for?"
"The police have him in custody, but he has refused to talk." Pixal informed them as her voice spoke out through the Bounty. "He is set for release today."
"Then if Johnny Law can't get him to talk…" Kai started as he cracked his knuckles with a smirk. "...perhaps Johnny Ninja can?"
A bit later, Melissa, Lloyd, Jay, Zane, and Cole were back in Ninjago City as they walked up to a tea shop. "Uh, I thought we were in a hurry to get to the police." Jay said in confusion.
"A quick stop. If the perp won't talk, maybe we can get something to loosen his lips." Lloyd said.
"And we know just the person who can give us what we need." Melissa added as they stopped at the front door.
"Mystake's Tea Shop." Cole said with a smile. "I wonder what magic tea she can brew up for us." He commented as they entered the shop and saw Mystake stocking some shelves.
"Is Mystake here?" Lloyd asked.
"Never heard of her!" Mystake said as she turned around with a look before she smiled when she realized it was the Ninja. "Ooh! Apologizes, young Lloyd Garmadon. I didn't recognize your voice. Oh, it's so good to see you again. It's been years."
"Hello, Mystake." Lloyd said with a smile, while knowing Mystake well from Master Wu and his father in the past.
"I'm sorry to hear about Master Wu." Mystako said with a frown. "He was a dear friend."
"Was? He's not dead, he's lost in time." Melissa said in confusion.
"And we haven't given up on him." Cole added. "We just had more urgent problems."
We seek-" Zane tried to say before he was cut off.
"The Tea of Truth!" Mystake said with a creepy voice, which surprised and weirded out the others.
"She's good." Zane commented.
"But be forewarned… The truth can be… dangerous." Mystake said with a creepy smile as the Ninja leaned back a bit.
"Damn, she's really good." Melissa said with an impressive smile.
"She's also creepy." Jay said with a fearful look.
"Part of the course in a mystical teashop, Jay." Cole pointed out.
"I'll have a look in the back to see if I have any." Mystake said with a sweet smile as she was about to enter the back before she turned with a firm look. "But… don't… touch… anything!" She emphasized before she gave a sweet smile and went to the back.
"Like I said… Cree-pee." Jay whispered to them.
After a little waiting, Mystake come back with a jar of tea leaves before Lloyd and Melissa saw something in the back, seeing a horned warrior and a dragon between a tree symbol, which got their attention.
"Mystake, wait!" Lloyd said quickly. "That painting…" He gestured to the back.
"Yeah, what is that?" Melissa asked.
"Hm?" Mystake asked before she turned and saw the painting. "Ah, yes. The Oni and the Dragon. But neither of you are not ready for that tale."
"Please." Lloyd said to her. "We need to know."
"It is a long tale." Mystake said to them. "Do you two have the time?"
"We only had time for a quick stop." Zane said to them.
"Cole, Zane, you two take the Tea of Truth to the police station and get some answers out of that douchebag to find out who's giving the orders." Melissa started as she gave the tea to Zane.
"Melissa, Jay, and I will stay here to learn more." Lloyd added as the two Ninja nodded and walked off.
"Come, my childs." Mystake said as Melissa, Lloyd and Jay started walking to the back. "To know the tale, you must drink the tea." She said as they entered the back.
At the police station, two officers were dragging a cuffed up perp to the station. "I'm innocent!" The man yelled out as he struggled to break free.
"Tell it to the judge." The officer said to him.
"I am the judge!" The perp exclaimed as they walked past Cole and Zane, which Zane was making tea from a machine.
"This cup contains the Tea of Truth, this other one is for you." Zane said as he gave Cole the two cups.
"Ha! Nothing like good old fashioned detective work." Cole said with a smirk before they heard wrestling as the perp broke free.
"Out of my way, coppers!" The perp shouted as he rushed off.
"Stop him!" The officer yelled as the perp shoved Cole aside, which caused him to spin and the two cups to be flung into the air.
"No!" Cole exclaimed as Zane quickly froze the floor to stop the perp from escaping. Cole then quickly juggled the two cups in his hands without spilling a drop as he let out a sigh of relief.
The cuff perp slid on the icy floor before he hit the door headfirst. "That didn't go the way I pictured." He muttered as the two officers glared down at him.
"Haha! I didn't even spill a drop!" Cole exclaimed with a surprised tone as he and Zane approached the interrogation room.
"Are you ready?" Zane asked.
"Uh, of course." Cole replied as he looked between the two cups in his hands and realized that they were mixed up in the juggling and didn't know which one was the Tea of Truth. He quickly swapped the cups just to make sure as he gave an assuring smile before they entered the interrogation room.
Inside was the biker who was with the heist at Borg's Tower while his mask was at the table as he looked around. "Who turned off the heat?" He questioned with a brow as he felt a cold chill before the door creaked open and he saw who it was. "Ninja. Hmph. What do you two want?" He questioned with a look as Zane and Cole entered.
"Luke Cunningham." Zane greeted as Cole closed the door behind them.
"Otherwise known as the Man in the White Mask." Cole added with a look as Luke glared at the two.
"We would like some information regarding who you work for, Luke." Zane said with a look.
"Well, I'd like a pineapple pizza and some chocolate ice-cream, but it aint gonna happen." Luke retorted sarcastically.
"We don't have that, but we do have a cup of hot tea that could really warm you up." Cole said with a smirk as he placed one of the cups down.
"I ain't thirsty." Luke said with a look as Cole drank his cup.
"Mm-mm, it really warms me up." He said with a grin. "Sometimes a cup of hot tea just hits the spot. Mm."
"Like I said, I ain't talkin'." Luke told the two with a glare before Cole glared back as he slammed his fists on the table.
"Drink it!" Cole ordered.
"No!" Luke said, slamming his fists on the table too.
"Oh, don't you get it?! If you don't drink the Tea of Truth, we won't get answers!" Cole blurred out before he quickly covered his mouth when he realized what he just said.
Luke looks at his cup. "You're trying to trick me." He said with a look.
"Cole, I think you drank the wrong cup." Zane said in realization.
"I see that now." Cole said sheepishly while slowly giving the Tea of Truth to Zane. "But in full disclosure, I'm trying my best to look like I didn't." He said as he and Luke got into a standstill as Cole gave up. "Aw shit, it's not working, is it?"
"Ha! So you can't lie, huh?" Luke asked with an amusing smirk. "Oh! You pee in the swimming pool?" He asked.
"Of course! Who doesn't--? Oop!" Cole yelped as he covered his mouth.
"Heh! Where are you hiding the Princess?" Luke asked.
"Oh, the Destiny's Bounty in a cove of Hollow's Buff. But tomorrow, we'll be at the Village of Stiix." Cole answered before quickly covering his mouth.
"You're giving away our secrets!" Zane exclaimed.
"I can't lie!" Cole shouted in defense.
"What sort of power do the Green and Purple Ninjas have?" Luke questioned with a grin.
"Well Lloyd has the power of Light and Melissa has the power of Darkness" Cole replied before he yelled in fright. "Fuck! Zane! Cover my mouth with ice, knock me out, do something!"
Luke gave an amusing laugh. "Wait till the gang at Laughy's hears about this." He said with a smirk.
"Laughy's?" Zane asked when he said that. "You mean the Karaoke Club on the South Side?" He asked as Luke stopped laughing as he realized what he said.
"Uh… shit." Luke muttered.
"Haha! Who's the sucker now?" Cole taunted with a smirk. "Good thing I didn't tell him about my fear of singing!" He realizes that. "Oh, Zane, can we please get out of here?!" He pleaded, hoping the Tea of Truth would wear off soon as the two Ninjas exited the building.
At Mystake's Tea Shop, Lloyd, Melissa and Jay were finishing up their tea Mystake gave them as she gave them a smile. "Aah! Thank you for the tea. You were right, it really calms my nerves." Jay said to Mystake with a smile. "I feel so-" He slurps some more tea. "-warm and fuzzy."
"Good. Then the Tea of Enlightenment is working." Mystake said as she held up a jar of tea leaves. "To help you see the tale, the original tale, the tale of the Oni and the Dragon." She said as she circled the three as they gave surprised looks.
"You lied?" Jay asked. "Mystake, why would you do that? I thought we were friends."
"Let me guess, you gave us this tea to see what your story tells?" Melissa guessed with a small smile.
"You guessed correctly, Young Zhau." Mystake said with a smile.
"What are we supposed to see?" Lloyd asked.
"See… the beginning." Mystake said with a spooky voice before she blew some steam from her teapot, which the three Ninja focused on the picture as it started moving as dragons were flying around. "Long before time had a name, there was the Realm of the Oni and Dragon." Then the dragon and a figure with horns appeared facing each other as the Ninja heard growling sounds.
"Realm?" Melissa asked in surprise.
"One of the Sixteen Realms?" Lloyd asked as well.
"Not one of. The first." Mystake corrected as she continued the tale. "The Dragon had the power to create. The Oni had the power to destroy. Their war was never ending…" She said as the Oni and Dragon then started fighting each other. "But then two children arrived, born of both worlds." Two figures of two boys appeared between the two entities as a Yin-Yang symbol appeared behind him. "The children understood the power of both. Without one, you could not have the other. But when the Oni and the Dragon fought over which side the children should choose… the children abandoned their world to start a new one, called… Ninjago." She stated as the three looked in surprise as the two children vanished before reappearing with the four Golden Weapons and did Spinjitzu as he created another Yin-Yang symbol, which was actually Ninjago.
"Are you telling us that the children born from both worlds…" Lloyd started off.
"Are The First Spinjitzu Master and… my father?" Melissa asked in surprise by this info.
"Hey, Lloyd is related to the First Spinjitzu Master and Melissa is the daughter of The Overlord." Jay said with a smile before gasping in realization. "That means you two are Part Oni and Dragon too!"
"Like I said, truth can be dangerous." Mystake said naturally.
"W-Wait, how is my father, the Overlord, friends with the First Spinjitzu Master and created Ninjago?" Melissa asked. "I mean, yes he told me himself that they were friends and helped the First Spinjitzu Master create Ninjago, but how the fuck did he go from there to one power hungry rule-all-of-Ninjago freakshow?!" She asked in disbelief. "The last two times we fought my bastard father, he didn't really show a soft side."
"Yes, the First Spinjitzu Master and the Overlord never really saw each other's points of view, but it wasn't always like that." Mystake said to them. "Because The First Spinjitzu Master and The Overlord were not just good friends, but they considered themselves brothers."
This surprised the three Ninja. "The Overlord and the First Spinjitzu Master, as brothers?" Jay asked. "I don't believe it."
"Believe it, young Walker, they were brothers in arms." Mystake told him. "The two of them did everything together, having each other's backs, arriving in this Realm, facing Wojira and of course creating Ninjago together." She explained as The FSM and the Overlord stood side by side sharing a shoulder hug and fist-bumped each other. "They were the best of friends." Mystake continued with a smile before showing a solemn frown. "But then, it happened."
"What happened?" Lloyd asked.
"The Overlord, embraced his full Oni side." Mystake said as the Overlord's image went from a normal man into a four armed demon which made Melissa shudder in fear. "The Overlord became corrupted by the Darkness causing his full Oni side, think of what happened to Garmadon but there is no goodness, no life, or anything left to save."
"Which he tried to do before the First Spinjitzu Master stopped him." Lloyd said.
"Indeed." Mystake said with a nod as The FSM looked down in sadness at what his friend, his brother, had become before grabbing his weapon. "The First Spinjitzu Master was saddened by what his former friend and brother had become, so to save Ninjago he had no choice but to fight him." She said as The FSM and The Overlord fought one another. "It was a brutal battle, even when the Overlord created the Stone Warriors, The First Spinjitzu Master was still holding against the fight, before splitting Ninjago in two and banishing the Overlord to the Dark Island." Mystake finished as The FSM slammed his sword on the ground and split Ninjago in two and created the Island of Darkness.
"Yeah, that's pretty much the story we know." Jay commented.
"After the First Spinjitzu Master banished the Overlord, he fathered two sons of his own." She said as figures of Wu and Garmadon appeared beside him. "He thought he could escape the war, he saw the evil of the Oni was waiting to be unleashed in one of his sons… Lord Garmadon." Mystake said as Garmadon's four arms appeared as they heard his evil laughter before Wu's projection started moving. "It was up to Master Wu to control his brother's undying thirst to destroy." She said as six figures appeared around Wu in multicolor. "And with some help-"
"Hey! Haha! That's us!" Jay cheered while pointing at the projection of themselves as the others gave him a look for interrupting.
"Have some more tea." Mystake said to Jay before she continued off as Garmadon then faced his son. "Lord Garmadon was destroyed by the most powerful force of all… the love of his own son." She finished as the picture returned to its original state while the three Ninja turned to Mystake. "But in his absence, a void was created. And in that void, a new darkness has arisen…"
"The Sons of Garmadon." Melissa guessed with a look.
"The three Oni Masks are relics from the First Realm." Mystake continued as she started explaining of the Oni Mask. "And they wield tremendous power… The Lower to Deceive. The Power of Vengeance. The Power to Hate." She lists off with an ominous tone as the three Ninja look at each other in concern.
"What happens when they're united?" Melissa asked.
"You cannot let that happen." Mystake said in dread.
"Tell us, please." Lloyd pleaded.
Mystake gave a sight before speaking. "Resurrection, they will have the power to bring back, Lord Garmadon." She answered as the Ninja looked on in shock. "But it won't be the man you recognized, there will be no life left in him, he will be full Oni, and he will become as dangerous and evil as… The Overlord."
Melissa and Jay look at Lloyd as he looks down while the two place a hand on Lloyd's back in comfort before Melissa realizes something. "Wait a minute. I'm seeing a pattern here." Melissa said with a brow.
"What pattern?" Jay asked.
"The First Spinjitzu Master and my father were friends, until my father turned evil and the same thing happened to Wu and Garmadon." Melissa said in thought.
"What are you saying, Melissa?" Lloyd asked in confusion.
Melissa gave a sigh before looking at her boyfriend in concern. "Lloyd, you and I are the next Masters of Light and Darkness after them, does all that mean… I'm next to turn evil?" She asked in worry.
"Oh, you may have been the Overlord's daughter, but from experience and how you helped all of Ninjago, you are anything but him, Young Zhau." Mystake said with a smile.
"Mystake's right Melissa, you are never gonna turn evil and you wanna know why?" Lloyd asked as Melissa turned to him. "Because you have me, and there's no way that I'm letting my girlfriend and the love of my life turn evil."
Melissa gave a warm smile from Lloyd's words. "Thanks, Lloyd." She said before she gave him a quick kiss.
"Ah, get a room, you two." Jay teased before Melissa gave him a punch in the face, sending him back as he groaned while Mystake gave a giggle from that.
Back on the Bounty, Harumi was in the barracks as she set up her makeshift bed of the things she manage to save when the palace was destroyed as she looked at the picture of her birth parents when she was a kid as she carrass it with a smile before she flipped the picture to show her Royal Family after they adopted her as she gave a sad look, missing them dearly before she gives it a kiss and she placed the two pictures on the board where the Ninjas put their family pictures on.
Harumi then turned and saw the picture of Lloyd and his parents, Garmadon and Misako, and his Uncle, Master Wu, next to the board while in a frame. She took the picture in her hands as she saw how happy the Garmadon Family were together.
"If you can believe it, that used to be Lord Garmadon." Nya said with a smile as she entered the room while gesturing to Garmadon's picture.
"Lloyd's father?" Harumi asked in interest.
"He made some mistakes, but… he's made up for them." Nya said as she walked towards Harumi.
"I've heard so many stories about him." Harumi said while looking at the picture. "Such anger. He hurt so many people. How did he change?"
"Master Wu once told me, holding onto anger is like trying to throw a hot rock." Nya said, remembering the lesson Wu gave her. "Only you get burned. Lloyd helped his father… let go. But all of that is behind us now." She finished with a smile.
"Or so we thought…" Melissa spoke up as she and Lloyd entered the room.
"Melissa. Lloyd. You're back." Harumi said with a smile.
"Where are Zane and Cole? I need to see everyone." Lloyd said seriously.
"Following a lead. Why? Is everything okay?" Nya asked in concern.
Lloyd took a deep breath to calm himself. "The Sons of Garmadon wanna bring my father back from the dead." He said solemnly.
"And not the Garmadon we know." Melissa said with concern. "They wanna bring back the Dark Lord version, back to his evil self." She added, which made Harmui and Nya gasp in shock by that.
It was night time in Ninjago City while the Destiny's Bounty was over the city as a bunch of the Sons of Garmadon were at the Karaoke Club, chatting or having drinks as Ultra Violet and the mysterious man that Lloyd and Melissa fought came in as the Sons of Garmadon moved aside for them to go through while Zane was reading a newspaper behind a dumpster while seeing the Sons of Garmadon enter the bar.
"Our informant's intel has paid off." Zane said to Cole, who was hiding in the dumpster. "Two high ranking Sons of Garmadon just arrived. The one they call Ultra Violet, and the mysterious man with the swords."
"Good." Cole whispered when he stuck his head out of the dumpster. "Then we're one step closer to finding out who's in charge." He then climbed out of the dumpster as Zane saw him wearing a fedora on his head, a fake mustache and scar on his face, and a ripped sleeved plaid shirt which left him confused. "It's me, Zane, Cole. Or should I say my alias… Rocky Dangerbuff." Zane only stared at him for a moment before he continued. "If we wanna infiltrate their gang and gain their trust, they can't know we're Ninja." He explained before he reached into the dumpster and pulled out a can of shaving cream and a trash can lid. "I even scrounged up a disguise for you."
"A tin trash lid and a can of shaving cream?" Zane asks with confusion.
"Don't forget, you have to sell it." Cole said to him.
"Hm, that won't be necessary…" Zane mentioned before he used his holographic feature to hide his titanium form as he changed himself while wearing the same clothing as the S.O.G.. "But if you wanna use the trash lid yourself…"
"No, Zane, it's okay." Cole said in embarrassment as he tossed the two items away, forgotten that Zane has a holographic disguise feature. "But you still need a cover name. Something tough. Something badass. Something that says, 'I'm bad'." He said with a tough look.
"In my estimation, Rocky Dangerbuff is pretty bad." Zane mentions, clueless as to what Cole meant.
"Ugh, do I have to do everything?!" Cole complained before he thought for a second. "Fine, you're… Snake Jaguar."
"Snake Jaguar. Hmm…" Zane hummed before he gave a smile. "You were always much better at this than I was."
"You ready, Snake Jaguar?" Cole asked while acting tough.
"I am, Rocky Dangerbuff." Zane added as the two walked to the Karaoke Club while acting tough as they entered the bar and saw many S.O.G. crowding the place while either having drinks, playing at a pool table while two people were singing on a karaoke stage.
"Ugh, make them stop!" One of them shouted in disgust while some of the bikers were covering their ears.

"Barkeep!" A S.O.G. goon quickly grabbed the barkeeper, which happens to be Dareth. "Another beer!" He ordered as he tossed Dareth down.
"Yes, Sir! Coming up, right away." Dareth said frantically as he stood up. "Please don't break anything!" He pleaded as he went to grab the drinks while Cole and Zane came in and looked at him in surprise.
"Dareth?" Zane asked in surprise at seeing one of their old friend. "What are you doing here?"
Dareth then turned to them. "Cole? Cole! You've came to visit me!" He cheered, seeing Cole through his disguise.
"Aw! Is my disguise so much worse than Zane's?" Cole complained while Zane gave a smile.
"Zane? Is that you under there?" Dareth asked with a smile, getting a nod from Zane. "You guys gotta help me. I bought this stink hole, hoping to hold onto the glory days when I was fighting side-by-side with you guys." He said as he held up the picture of the Ninja with himself taped into it.
"Side by side… Really?" Cole questioned with a brow.
"Only now the Sons of Garmadon have moved in and made my place their dive." Dareth said to them. "I can't get them to leave! You gotta help me!"
"We can't." Cole said to him. "We need to keep our cover to get close to those two…"He said while gesturing to the mystery man and Ultra Violet, who were getting annoyed by the karaoke singers as Ultra Violet gave a whistle and gestured the S.O.G. to get rid of them. Which they gladly did as they tossed the two singers out the window as the Sons of Garmadon all cheered in relief.
"You mean Mr. E and Ultra Violet?" Dareth asked while gesturing to the two commanders.
"Mr. E?" Both Zane and Cole asked in surprise by hearing the mystery man's real name.
"Nobody talks to those two because he doesn't talk and she's off her rocker." Dareth said while gesturing to the two commanders.
"If we can't talk to them, how are we supposed to gain their trust-?" Cole tried to ask before they heard growling as they turned.
"I said, where's my beer?!" The S.O.G. goon from earlier exclaimed as he slammed his fist down, which startled Dareth as he gave two drinks to the two disguised Ninjas.
"Sorry, can't help. Gotta go." Dareth said as he quickly went off to give the goon a drink.
Cole then took his cup. "Alright, Snake Jaguar, fire up those processors and tell me how to do this." He said to Zane.
"I've already ran countless simulations, and out of the 1,542 ways this could go, there's only one." Zane mentioned. "But it's complicated, and dangerous."
"Then it's a good thing my last name is Dangerbuff." Cole said with a confident look as he sounded tough. "Lay it on me." He said before taking a sip of his drink.
"You have to get on stage and sing." Zane instructed, which caused Cole to do a spit take and a double take at his Nindroid friend.
"I can't sing, remember?!" Cole told him. "What did I just say back at the precinct?! There has to be another way!"
"You're the son of a Royal Blacksmith." Zane reminded him. "You went to the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts… You have to trust me. What would Rocky do?" He asked while Cole thought for a moment before he gave a serious look and drank the rest of his drink and adjusted his mustache before walking off.
Cole then walked up on stage as he tried to adjust the mic which caught the attention of Ultra Violet and Mr. E. "Phew…" He sighed before he tapped the mic to get every creature in the room's attention. "I'm Rocky Dangerbuff and here's something mean to sing!" He spoke into the mic before he tossed a bit over to the jukebox, which Zane was standing next to. "Song number 159, pronto!" Zane quickly picked up the bit and picked the song as Cole was prepared to sing before he started to hear happy children's music playing as he did a double take. "What, no! Nonono! Not this! I wanted 159: 'Creeping Death'!" Zane only shrugged sheepishly as Cole looked among the crowd as they waited for him to sing while had a nervous look on his face. "Uh… Sh-Shine little glow worm… Glimmer glimmer…" He sang into the mic with an off key tone.
This made the S.O.G. laugh in amusement while Ultra Violet and Mr. E gave disgusted looks. "Glow little glow-worm. Glow and glimmer. Swim through the sea of night. Little swimmer. Shine! Glow little glow-worm!" Cole kept singing while Zane watched in amusement.
On the Bounty, the Ninja were watching Cole sing in surprise and amusement while feeling a bit disturbed. "Swim through the sea of night. Little swimmer." Cole sighed while snapping his fingers as he gave an irritated sigh.
"What is Cole doing?" Jay asked in amusement.
"I don't know, but please tell me someone is recording this?" Melissa asked, trying to keep her composure. "Because this is really good blackmail material!"
"Zane informed me... he has a plan to gain the Sons of Garmadon's trust." Pixal spoke up to them and sounded close to laughing as well, while Cole did a little dance and kept singing. "But for it to work… we must trust him."
"Uhh, nobody answered my question." Melissa said, looking at the others.
"Yes, Melissa, yes. I am recording and I'm making copies. Lots of copies." Jay said with a smile.
"Good, hehehe, Seliel is gonna love this." Melissa snickered.
"Light up you little o' bug of lightning. When you gotta glow, you glimmer-glimmer." Cole kept singing.
After a bit of singing, the Sons of Garmadon were getting bored. "Boo!" One of them exclaimed.
"How long is this God damn song?!" Cole questioned Zane as the S.O.G. are now throwing things at him while Cole tried to avoid them while they were 'booing' at him. "Time for the Triple Tiger Sashay." He muttered as he moved the microphone aside as he then did a quick dance, but he slipped from a cider spillage and fell on his back, which made him lose his mustache as the music stopped and everyone stood silent.
When Cole got up, he gave a sheepish smile as the scar on his face peeled off, revealing to be a sticker as he gave a sheepish look. "Hey! He's one of those Ninja!" One of the bikers shouted.
"Grab him!" Ultra Violet shouted as they all charged at Cole, who used the microphone to knock them back.
"Zane, help me!" Cole called out as he fended off the bikers. "Where are you?!" He was then hit in the head from behind with a chair as it was Zane who knocked him out.
"Find this Zane guy, and grab him too!" Zane called out to the other bikers, who rushed off in agreement as he gave a guilty look as Mr. E and Ultra Violet came down and dragged Cole away.
On the bounty, the others were gobsmacked as they watched Cole get dragged away. "Why isn't Zane helping him?" Jay questioned.
"Zane has blocked all communication." Pixal said to them, which shocked them even more. "We must trust him," She said, though her tone didn't have much confidence.
"God fucking damn it!" Melissa exclaimed in frustration. "We need to go after them!"
"This is our only lead." Nya said in agreement. "We may never get a second chance."
"Zane wanted us to trust him." Lloyd said to them.
"Zane is letting this happen!" Jay exclaimed exasperation
"I'm not waiting for the coach to put me in." Kai said with a serious look. "I'm going." He said as he walked out.
"Pixal, watch over Rumi." Lloyd instructed.
"My apologies, Princess." Pixal said to her.
"I can handle myself." Harumi said with a determined look.
"I know how that feels." Nya said as she got in front of Harumi. "But Lloyd's right. Our first order is to protect you." She said as she rushed down while Harumi gave a sigh.
The Bounty flew over the bar as the Ninja each grabbed a rope and stood on the ledge. "Ready, Ninja?" Lloyd asked as they nodded. "Go!" He called out as they jumped over, using the ropes to land safely as they started parkouring their way to the bar.
Down on the bar, a S.O.G. was drinking before he gasped and dropped his drink when he saw the Ninja coming down. "The Ninja's got backup! Get the bosses out of here!" He called out as Ultra Violet and Mr. E came out, U.V. carrying Cole while some of the goons got onto their bikes.
"We gotta split!" Ultra Violet said to Mr. E, who nodded as they rushed to their rides as Zane turned to Dareth as he gave Dareth a nod and rushed off.
"Go get 'em." Dareth said quietly to Zane, knowing what Zane was doing as the Sons of Garmadon revved up their bikes just as the Ninja jumped down to the bar as Ultra Violet took off with Cole while some of the other Ninja knocked down some goons while Mr. E revved up his bike.
Not wanting to let Mr. E escape, Jay absorbs some electricity from the electric sign and shoots it at Mr E, shorting out his bike as he was left in the middle of the road as he quickly ran on foot while the Ninja chased after him.
"Don't let him get away!" Lloyd called as they gave chase.
Mr. E kept running as he took out the Mask of Vengeance and stopped in an alley as he put it on and gain the four arms as the Ninja stopped as he saw him jumped over the wall and they chased after him as they ran up on the roofs, jumping from car to car, and using any obstacles he could use to slow the Ninja down.
Mr. E then ran up to an deadend as he saw the laundry lines connected to the buildings as he then jumped from one line to the next as the Ninja looked up and saw him. "Aw, I always hated doing laundry." Jay complained.
"Not the time, Jay!" Melissa said as they continued to follow Mr. E.
Mr. E then saw them coming as Jay got onto the line he was on and charged at him, but Mr. E jumped away, causing Jay to lose his balance and fell before Nya caught him as Kai grabbed a vase and hit Mr. E with it, causing him to flip before he landed perfectly and he drew his swords as Lloyd and Melissa jumped towards him as he swung his sword at them.
Nya jumped up towards the other end of the line as Mr. E saw this as an advantage as he cut the line, causing the three Ninja to fall with screams as they held onto a line as Mr. E bounced on one and jumped from one line to the next. "We can't let them escape!" Kai shouted as they jumped after him.
Mr. E, who threw his swords at them as it cut Kai, and Jay's lines as the boys screamed and got tangled up as Mr. E cut some clothes loose, dropping them on Nya, causing her to fall down with screams before Lloyd and Melissa caught her.
"Gotcha!" Lloyd said to them as the two grab Nya
"And I got you two." Nya said as they let go of the Ninjas of Yin and Yang, which launched them up into the air with screams as Nya landed safely on a line.
Mr. E climbed up the roof before he turned and saw the Ninjas of Yin and Yangs landed on the roof with their weapons ready, which Mr. E did the same before the three charged at each other and clashed weapons, which they blocked or avoided each strike before Mr. E kicked them to another roof, which they kept clashing blades skillfully.
"You're not the first four armed freak we've dealt with! And you're not gonna be the last you son of a bitch!" Melissa said to Mr. E before she and Lloyd got their weapons along with Mr. E's to a standstill before Mr. E swung their weapons away, making the Ninjas of Yin and Yangs charge up their powers and he got hit by it, making him go flying and his mask coming off as he held onto the edge and grabbed hold of the mask so it wouldn't fall.
The Ninjas of Yin and Yangs ran towards Mr. E, but then four shurikens were struck at them, making the two get pinned to the wall as Zane was on another roof. "Hurry!" Zane called out as he jumped towards Mr. E. "There's no time!" He said as he offered his hand to Mr. E, which he gradually accepted as Zane helped him up and the two rushed off.
"No!" Both Lloyd and Melissa yelled out as the others jumped onto the roof.
"He's getting away!" Jay shouted as Nya and Kai got the Ninjas of Yin and Yangs free, but before they could follow, Lloyd looked at the shurikens, seeing the details as he realized something.
"Wait!" Lloyd shouted, which made the others stop and turn to him as he lowered the mouth part of his mask. "That was Zane's plan all along… He's just gained their trust." He realizes as he gestured to the shurikens, which made the others realize as well.
"Lloyd's right." Melissa said in realization. "Zane only did what he did to gain their trust, and now that he did, he's now part of their group."
On the road, the Sons of Garmadon are driving on the highway at high speed, with Ultra Violet having the tied up Cole on her bike as she turns to Mr. E, who has Zane riding in his ride. "You're bringing him to The Big Man?" Ultra Violet questioned as Mr. E gave a nod as they drove off into the city at night, not realizing they were bringing Zane along.
A/N: And that was The Oni and the Dragon, and we now know what the Sons of Garmadon plan to do with the Oni Masks and that is to bring back Lord Garmadon, and it appears that Zane is now going undercover to find more Intel on the Sons of Garmadon to find out who their leader it.
