5. What's in that Tardis?
Chloe wonders how she can discover the answer to her initial question – what's in that Tardis? After her interesting outing she wants to relax and retrace her thoughts!
She formulates a question.
"Tardis, could you list what is in each room aboard, please?"
The Tardis starts displaying a long list of rooms and their contents. It seems to go on for ever!
Early in the list, something catches her eye. A data cache device.
"Tardis, is this relevant to the Doctor?"
The Console screen fills with information from the device. Images of people who Chloe has never seen montage on the screen, culminating in an early image of the Doctor that she has seen before.
This confirms to Chloe that this device is related to the Doctor!
Chloe suddenly feels the vulnerability of the data.
"Tardis, can you make a copy of the data to keep it safe, please? And could you provide a copy to me?"
An opening appears in the Tardis Console, and Chloe retrieves a small data storage device.
Curious, Chloe wants to know more about what information is on the memory device. Being in a time machine has its benefits. Whatever else might be happening in the Universe can wait. She plugs it into the Tardis console.
"Tardis, can you show me some of the depth of information stored on here?"
She's hoping it isn't just a list of the faces of the Doctor! She wants to know if it will be of real interest to him.
Images of a spaceship landing at a spaceport appear first. She peers at the screen, then she feels as if she's at the spaceport. She feels a cold breeze on her face as she watches a lady dressed in a black dress, and a young girl dressed in distinctively basic tribal garb disembark.
"Who are they?" Chloe asks. She recognises them from earlier but wants to verify.
Name tags appear confirming her suspicions. The young girl is named as the Doctor, and the lady is named as Tecteun.
This must be the earliest recording of the Doctor just arriving on Gallifrey. Chloe thinks.
The recording seems to be unfettered and unfogged. Chloe skips forwards and all is still clear.
She's seen enough to know its value.
"Thank you, Tardis, for this information for the Doctor." She feels the need to keep the Tardis on-side, and helpful. Besides which she feels the need to be polite at all times.
Quickly, she puts the memory device in a small pocket and closes her pocket.
She plans to place it in the Doctor's hands when she possibly can, for his appreciation, though she knows he's likely not to have any time to look at it ... ever! .
