AN: just a quick note, some of you may notice heavy similarity with YagamiNyguen's Fairy Guardian. I asked him for permission to use parts of his story in mine and he has given permission. Credit will be given at the end of chapter.

Chapter 7: A Legal Mage

Chapter Start

By the time they came back from Tenrou Island, seven years had passed by in Earthland.

Lucy looked around the Guild and she couldn't help but smile a little, it felt like a fairy tale she read a long time ago, though she never thought she and everyone of the Guild would end up in a situation exactly like that story. Last night, the Guild had a massive party to celebrate the return of the core members of Fairy Tail, and even if she wanted to, Lucy would never be able to forget any moments of that night.

Drinking, singing and dancing...as if they were making up for seven years of lost time, Fairy Tail was no longer the top guild of Fiore, yet it was still pretty much the same as before. Everyone, laughing and smashing their fists into each other's face, before wrapping their arms around each others shoulder, tears of joy falling down their eyes...

Everyone...except for one person.

Naruto Uzumaki was pretty reserved, seemingly not that eager to join in the celebration. He would chat with the Strauss siblings, Mira mostly, but that was it. He didn't drink any cup of beer Mira brought him or try to interact with anyone else, besides Master Makarov. Heck, right now, he was just sitting there, reading. But most of the members of the Guild were too lost into the fun to acknowledge the blond keeping to himself.

The fun continued until the doors of the building was opened and five very familiar faces walked in with a smile on their face.

"Welcome back, everyone!" Sherry Blendy waved to them cheerfully. She was a young beautiful woman with blue eyes, pink hair, large breasts, and a curvaceous body. She wore a black vest top and matching skirt. The vest sported a collar and tied reaching only to her mid-chest and aside from a light cloth band clasped above her navel, her belly and the under-inside portion of her breasts were exposed. She also wore a dark hair-band with points resembling cat ears, and long black gloves reaching to her upper arms.

"Looks like it's turned back into a noisy Guild." The one who said that was Lyon Vastia. He was a slim young man of average height with a muscular and toned body. He had bluish silver hair, most of which were spiky strands that jut upwards on top of his head, except for some which are kept pointing down and partially cover the upper left part of his face.

Behind him were Jura Neekis, Yuka Suzuki and Toby Horhorta, all them wearing a smile on their face as they greeted the missed mages of Fairy Tail. Naruto briefly turned his attention toward the group, sizing them up, before returning his book after a few moments, as none of these people were a threat. To him, anyway.

"You guys!" Gray said in shock, standing up from his seat.

"Lamia Scale!" Lucy gasped. It'd been a long time since she last saw them, as they were part of Fairy Tail's alliance during the battle against one of the members of the Balam Alliance, Oracion Seis.

"When we searching for Tenrou Island, Blue Pegasus and Lamia really helped us out" one of the Guild's members informed them, forcing Gray to make a forced smile at Lyon's smirk.

"Looks like we're in your debt now." Gray acknowledged.

"Don't worry about it, Blue Pegasus made it out there first, but we have much more power" Lyon smirked confidently.

"Who cares about that?" Gray sweat dropped, saying uncaringly.

"Well, while you guys were missing these past 7 years, Lamia Scale climbed to the number two guild in Fiore" Sherry said with a smile, putting her hand to the above of her sizable chest "No hard feelings. Right, Lucy-san?"

"Number 2, huh? So then who is number 1, Blue Pegasus?" Lucy asked, half-joking and half serious. She sincerely doubted it was them, Blue Pegasus was more about fashion, modeling, and popularity than actually being the best mages.

"Yeah right!" Toby cried out suddenly, "There's no way that could happen!"

"Settle down. You're embarrassing yourself again." Yuka calmed his friend with his usual expression.

"Well, Toby's little rant aside," Jura nodded his head "We're just glad everyone is okay" His eyes then caught Naruto, who was sitting by himself, reading a book, which was very strange considering what kind of a guild Fairy Tail was. So, he couldn't help but ask "And who is that young man over there? I hadn't seen him before, had I?"

Immediately the Guild became silent, uncomfortable silence, making the mages of Lamia Scale widened their eyes slightly at that. Naruto however, completely ignored the silence and continued to mind his own business, reading his book.

"Did I say something wrong?" Jura asked, looking around.

"No, not at all Jura-san..." Lucy shook her head with a nervous smile "It just that Naruto is just…very reserved."

"We met him on the Island" Makarov spoke up, he was drinking a cup of beer "He was with us when the…incident happened. He just recently joined Fairy Tail."

"Oh, is that so?" Lyon nodded his head "This is kind of new, don't you think?" he turned around and asked Sherry, who couldn't help but nod her head.

"He is just shy, that's all" Mira said with a small smile, holding a tray with a couple of cups of beer on top of it, though she wasn't too sure herself when she said that.

"BUT HE'S SUPER STRONG!" Natsu suddenly appeared in front of Lamia Scale's group and said with a cheerful smile "He-" But before he could finish that sentence a table suddenly appeared and slammed into him, sending the poor pink haired boy across the room before crashing into the wall.

All heads turned to the other side of the room and saw Naruto standing with an outstretched hand.

"Don't be blabbing my secrets, Natsu. That is for me, and me alone, to reveal." He spoke up with a lazy tone. He grabbed another free table and pulled it toward him, putting both of his feet on it and leaned back slightly against his chair.

"Sigh...You get the idea" Makarov said to Jura.

After that, Lamia Scale left Fairy Tail and everyone soon returned to drink with each other.

Later

"Beer, Naruto-kun?" Mira walked up to him and asked cheerily. At first when she brought those cups to him, she didn't say anything when he didn't touch them, because she afraid that he would get angry or something like that. Naruto must have noticed, because he finally said something.

"The thought was kind, but I don't drink alcohol. I didn't say anything earlier because I didn't want to upset you." Naruto replied, making the smile on Mira's face disappear.

"Oh, then...is there anything you would to drink?" Instantly the smile returned to her face and she tried to make him open up once again "You must be thirsty."

"Just some hot water so I can make some tea, please" Naruto said and Mira smiled brightly at that, she quickly ran away and found an empty cup to get Naruto some water.

"You don't drink?" Gildart spoke to Naruto, following Mira's example of trying to interact with him "Not that I have anything against it, but you don't seem like the clean type to me, young man." His daughter, however was completely opposite, because she was drinking from a whole barrel of beer, holding her liquor even better than him, her father.

"I don't drink alcohol because Zancrow ruined it for me." Naruto said as everyone give him their full attention. "That fake personality wasn't just crazy, he also was a heavy drinker. Hades designed him to be that way. He couldn't take my Flame Godslayer Magic from me, but he also knew as long as I was alive, if I ever somehow broke free, I could take my magic back. So, he added that little bit into Zancrow that he would eventually drink himself, and me by extension, into an early grave."

"Hell, my liver was probably only a few months away from completely failing when I was freed." Naruto added, making Makarov and Mira become angry but for different reasons. Mira was pissed because her Naruto-kun was nearly taken away from her, and she wouldn't have even known it. Makarov, meanwhile, was angry at Precht, realizing that depth of how much the once wise 2nd master of Fairy Tail had fallen since he left the guild.

"Luckily, I don't have to worry about the liver just giving out anymore." Naruto said as Mira handed him his water and he placed a tea bag in it so he could brew some peach and ginger tea really quick. His comments of course, confused Mira, Gildarts, and Makarov.

"How can that be? Didn't you just say your liver was close to failing?" Gildarts asked.

"It was…until my fight with Acnologia." Naruto stated, making Mira widen her eyes, followed by the other 2 men.

"It was when you consumed all the flames around the island, wasn't it?" She asked, causing Naruto to smile.

"Correct, Mira-chan. I may not be able to heal myself with Blessing of Apollo, but that doesn't mean I don't have ways around it. As I am a master of my brand of Slayer magic, I can choose to the convert the element I consume into restoring my magic power or healing my injuries. Obviously that time, given all the damage that one punch of his did, I choose to heal myself. I made sure some it healed my liver, so it's good as new."

"That said," Naruto said as his tea finished brewing and he threw the bag away, "I'll never let alcohol touch my lips ever again."

"By the way, Naruto. You still haven't gotten your guild mark yet." Makarov pointed out, and Naruto gave him a mirthful smile.

"I didn't want to push it, given you just reunited with your original guildmates. I figured that could wait until the partying died down." Naruto said as he took a sip of his tea.

"So, where would you like your mark, Naruto-kun?" Mira asked. Normally, Kinanna would give out guild marks to new members since she became the bar maid, but this was Naruto. Mira wanted to be the one to do it.

Naruto thought about it for a sec, before he undid the kimono a bit, exposing his right shoulder. "Put in on the right shoulder. And make it orange." He said.

Mira pressed the guild marker into his dense muscle, and with a plop later, Fairy Tails guild mark now adorned his right shoulder in an orange color.

"How's it look?" Naruto asked Mira, who was marveling at it.

"Huh?" Mira asked when she heard him speak, as she had been mesmerized by his muscles, his broad, well-defined shoulders, and hadn't heard him speak. "It-It looks great."

"Glad to hear it," Naruto said as he put his kimono fully back on.

"Master, Twilight Ogre wants to speak with us tomorrow about the debt." Macao informed Makarov, causing the older man to rub his chin.

"Hmm, yes, it's about time we dealt with this." Makarov said to himself, before turning to Macao. "I know the guild incurred some financial trouble after our forced departure, but just how bad was the debt you found yourselves in?"

At that, Macao and Wakaba grew a bit nervous. "It'd probably just be easier if we showed you." Wakaba sighed, knowing Makarov wasn't gonna like it, but he needed to see for himself. Wakaba left the table for a minute and came back with a stack of papers, placing them in front of Makarov.

Makarov quickly looked through them before his eyes comically widened and his soul temporarily left his body. He quickly recovered and asked hysterically, "How did you get that far into debt!?"

"Okay, now I'm curious." Naruto said as he looked at the debt and his eyes also comically widened. He then exclaimed, "You're 8,000,000 jewels in debt!?"

"Oh my, that is steep indeed." Mira chuckled nervously.

"With that steep of a debt, we would have struggled to pay it off years ago when we were bringing plenty of jobs in. Now though…." Erza trailed off.

"And that's not all, the interest rate is 30% yearly. Most of the debt is just from the interest accruing the last 6 years." Naruto said as he noted the rates they had signed.

"How did you get so far in debt? And why?" Naruto questioned as he turned to Macao, who had the decency to look ashamed, at least.

"We tried to hold onto the old guild hall longer than we should have." Macao said, as that really was the source of it. They sentimental and tried to hold onto their old guild hall, forgetting that without the S-class mages, they didn't have the prestige to command more missions anymore.

"There's something else. Mira-chan, Makarov, take a look at these numbers. It looks like they tried to pay off a large portion of the principal in the first year, but there's something funny with these numbers." Naruto said as he narrowed his eyes at some of the numbers. Mira and Makarov looked over his shoulder and at the sheets, quickly seeing what he was saying.

And they grew angry.

"The original loan was 1 million jewel, yet they tried to pay a 800,000 jewel off a few days before the yearly interest could kick in. They didn't get it, and then suddenly, the principal starts at 2 million, then the interest was added in." Naruto said as he read it.

"They stole the original payment." Mira said darkly.

"Only the first year. The guild was still able to command enough income to pay off a sizeable portion of the principal. They didn't want that, so they pretended they didn't get it and fudged some numbers." Makarov said with a vein ticking on his forehead.

"We knew something wasn't right, but we couldn't afford to go before the Magic Council and plead our case. Our biggest fear was they wouldn't have listened, and then we'd be screwed." Wakaba said, and Naruto understood that viewpoint.

"They created a debt slave that can't get out of debt. I'm guessing it's all part of some larger plan, but that is all speculation at this point." Naruto pondered as he stroked his chin before turned to Makarov. "I assume things are gonna violent tomorrow?"

"Most likely," Makarov said, especially since he was planning to push Twilight Ogre into making a mistake.

"I wanna come with you when you go to talk to them. I got a feeling he's not gonna back down easily." Naruto requested, as Makarov had already planned to take Erza and Mira. Makarov nodded and Naruto began thinking of plan if they couldn't resolve this peacefully, though Makarov and the girls would wanna take out some frustration on Twilight Ogre anyway.

Next Day

Noon

The wizard guild, Twilight Ogre. Situated in the Kingdom of Fiore, it lied on the southern coast of the country in Magnolia Town, as of the year X791 it was the town's main guild. Their headquarters was represented by the impressive building, that led to a massive gate, richly ornamented. It had a Japanese style, a large gate, a pair of chains and a pair of fences. In the top, the pair of giant horns had spikes on them, also it had the words "MAKE MONEY" and an Oni face with two crossed spikes. The name of the guild was displayed in the green Japanese ornament.

"Look here, old man. There's nothin' more ta talk about." The guy said as he held his cigar, "There ain't no way I'm gonna back down until you and your guild pay back the debt you owe me." This man sitting across from Makarov was Twilight Ogre's master, Banaboster. Banaboster appeared to be a middle-aged man, having a shaved face with a haircut resembling a military one. He had a broad, seemingly plated jaw, wide lips, and a thick nose. His thin eyebrows reached up into his hair, and he wore tinted glasses. Banaboster donned a yellow-green pinstriped suit and pants with a purple cape over the outfit that had a button with the Twilight Ogre emblem. He was also smoking a cigar.

"I would like nothing more than to pay you, but I'm sure you are well aware of the financial rut we found ourselves in." Makarov said, his face in an eyesmile as he sat on the couch across from Banaboster, with Mira, Erza, and Naruto standing behind the couch Makarov was on.

"Your business records appear to have some holes in them," Mirajane also noted, shrugging, "It makes you wonder if we are paying more than we should be."

"Care to explain yourself?" Erza asked more bluntly.

"You tramp! Is that an accusation of fraud or something?!" Banaboster shouted angrily.

"Not at all! We will repay the money we borrowed, including proper interest. Someday." Makarov said.

"You're starting to try my patience, you little piss-ant!" Banaboster said angrily as he stood up.

"Forgive me, that came out wrong. What I'm trying to say is that we should start by re-figuring the interest rate." Makarov said. "Something more along the lines of 0% interest moving forward. This will allow us to eventually pay off the debt within 2-10 years, especially with everyone working double time, and you'll still end up with 6 million jewel more than you started."

"What!?" Banaboster questioned angrily as he got in Makarov's face. "I don't negotiate with deadbeats who rough up my boys and don't pay their debts! Capiche!?"

"You think you're tough little man, but I'll make you pay for being disrespectful, me and my boys a reputation to uphold!" Banaboster said as he pointed to the guild emblem pin on his cape.

"Understood. We only came here today to discuss money but we can discuss your reputation as well." Makarov said with his eye smile still up, seemingly doing this to aggravate him on purpose at this point. "I have no problem telling you EXACTLY what I think of you and your guild."

Banaboster was now so mad that he kicked the table between him and Makarov off to the side. "You wanna wear cement shoes, you old geezer!?"

"Get payback for what's owed. If memory serves, that the Twilight Ogre creed." Makaraov then lost his eye smile and became furious, his tone darkening, "Sounds like an eye-for-an-eye!"

"Indeed, and when you think of it in those terms, you owe us for 7 years of property damage and abuse..." Erza said as she started to glow with red magic power.

"So from where we stand, you owe us. It's only fair, after all" Mira said, her tone losing it's sweetness as her magic purple aura became visible, darkening the room.

"You should have played nice and taken Master Makarov's deal, fool." Naruto said, his aura turning black as he added his own magic power to Mira's and Erzas.

"The suffering my kids endured for seven years. All the years I wasn't there for them. It brings tears to my eyes." Makarov said as his voice grew deeper as his Titan Magic caused him to grow until he towered over Banboster, nearly twice the size. "You here me!? If it's a war you want, it's a war you're gonna get!"

Meanwhile, Mirajane entered her Satan Soul form, while Erza donned her Purgatory Armor. And Naruto was now shrouded in black flames.

Outside the Guild hall

Outside of the guild hall, Macao and Wakaba were waiting outside, as they heard the brawl start, knowing that Makarov, Erza, Mirajane, and Naruto they suspected, were all beating the living hell out of Twilight Ogre.

"Good grief..." Macao said with a sigh.

"Well, so much for diplomacy." Wakaba said with a shrug.

"I'm surprised they held out this long," Macao commented, especially with how mad they were yesterday.

"You know," Wakaba said with a nostalgic smile, "Hearing them go to town in there, makes the last 7 years seem like just a bad dream."

"Couldn't agree more," Macao said, agreeing with his old friend.

Back inside the Guild Hall

Inside the Twilight Ogre guild hall, the place was now totally trashed and all the Twilight Ogre mages had been beaten to a pulp.

"Well, this was fun, beating these guys to a pulp, but we've not resolved the thing we came here to for." Naruto said as he walked over to wearing Banaboster was lying, Naruto's staff clacking in sync with his steps.

Naruto picked Banaboster by the hair with one hand, and he whimpered pitifully. "I-I-I'll t-take that d-deal now." He requested pitifully.

"Who do you think you are?", Naruto asked as he held Banaboster up, "That deal was for smart guys who know their place. That was a one time deal, you don't get another crack at it." Naruto let a crazy eyed look adorn his face, "You fucked around with Fairy Tail and now you're gonna find out why that is the most costly mistake you will ever make, fool."

Naruto then threw him into the middle of the room, crashing into the floor and busting it up. Naruto slowly walked around 'til he was standing in front of him, pulling out a piece of parchment with the Fairy Tail Seal on the bottom. Banaboster groaned as he picked up his head.

"The new deal is this: 1. The financial debt Fairy Tail owed to Twilight Ogre is null and void. Fairy Tail no longer owes you or your guild anything. 2. You, meaning the guild of Twilight Ogre and it's members, will not seek retribution against Fairy Tail in any capacity. Meaning, no lawsuits, no crying to the Magic Council, no attacking our members, etc. And 3rd, You pack up immediately and leave Magnolia for good."

"W-where will we go!?" Banaboster cried out as the last clause was read.

"I assume, whatever hole in the ground you were living in before Fairy Tail lost its's prestige." Naruto said uncaringly. It wasn't his problem, after all, they wouldn't even be in Magnolia if Fairy Tail hadn't been visited by Acnologia in the first place.

"F-fuck you, I'm not signing shit!" Banaboster shouted, thinking that he still had one piece of leverage to hold over Fairy Tails head. Only to lose some confidence when Naruto and Makarov's response was a smirk.

"See, I was hoping you'd say that." Naruto said as he held up a book one of his clones had brought him and Banaboster's eyes widened in terror, as it was Twilight Ogre's ledger.

"We are well aware that you stole the first large payment the guild tried to pay you and you've been extorting them ever since. I've been around a long time, youngster, and know a lot of people in high places. I could very easily get Twilight Ogre labeled a Dark Guild for theft and extortion." Makarov said sternly, and Banaboster lowered his head, finally realizing that Fairy Tail had them dead to rights.

"Sign the deal, and never trouble Fairy Tail again." Naruto said, personally, if he were feeling more vindictive, he would have just gotten them labeled a Dark Guild. He though, knew that Makarov was offering them something they didn't deserve. A chance to walk away and turn their life around.

As Banaboster signed the agreement, writing his name next to Makarov's, Naruto threw the ledger's of Twilight Ogre into his Requip space. Makarov may want to give them the chance to clean up their act, but Naruto was not so trusting of the innate goodness of people. Not anymore, at least. He would hold onto the ledgers, as insurance that they never tried anything funny.

Next Day

The next day in the guild, the air and atmosphere in the guild just felt lighter, the sun felt brighter. At least for the members that were still around for the last 7 years. Having the massive debt removed and not having it hung over their heads was such a relief. While they still had a reputation to rebuild, the members that weren't sunk with Tenrou island were looking forward to the future for the first time in a long time.

Naruto was taking a minute to relax, at least he was physically. His clones were off researching ideas out in the woods while he was at the guild. He was sitting with Makarov and Gildarts again, like he did yesterday. He figured at some point, he should probably go sit and chat with some of the other members, get to know them a little bit. He was about to do that, when a very peculiar aroma filled his nose.

He turned around and saw Mira standing behind him, holding a bowl of something he hadn't seen in a long time.

"Umm, Mira, what is that?" Naruto asked, his usual cool demeanor broken with shock on his face. Not because he didn't know what she had just brought him, but because he knew exactly what it was and was surprised to see it.

"I…remember when we were kids and still living in Hamura village, you told me one of your biggest regrets about coming here, was that no one knew how to make Ramen, Naruto-kun." Mira admitted as she placed the plate and bowl down on the bar in front of him. "And well, I thought you might appreciate it. I hope you like it."

Naruto numbly pulled the bowl closer to him and turned himself to face the bowl. 'How long has it been…since I last tasted Ramen? Nearly a decade, if I'm being chronologically accurate.' He thought with a sense of trepidation. Naruto created a pair of chopsticks with his Arc of Embodiment, a pair of unbroken sticks appearing in his left hand. He very slowly placed his right hand on the chop sticks, breaking them apart.

He put the two chop sticks between the fingers of his right hand, grabbing some noodles between them, letting them sit in the broth for a moment before pulling them up to his mouth and taking a bite. He almost spit the food the back out.

But not because it tasted bad. For it was out of shock and surprise the flavor that was causing his nostalgia to go haywire. 'H-How did she manage to…I-I only told her about Ramen one time!' he thought to himself with wide eyes.

His facial reactions had Mira worried. "Is it…bad?" She wondered, worried she had given him something terrible tasting.

Naruto swallowed the noodles he had taken a bite out of, tasting the salty broth as it and the noodles went down his throat. "No, no its not that. It's good. Very good." Naruto reassured her, as his chopsticks went back into the bowl, grabbing more noodles and biting into them, the familiar taste of his childhood filling his mouth. 'Yeah, its exactly like I thought. Exactly as I remember' He thought as he ate the noodles faster, but not inhaling them like he did as a kid. About 10 minutes later, he finished the noodles, placing the chopsticks and grabbing the bowl. He lifted the bowl up to his mouth, dipping his head back as he drank the rich miso broth from the bowl, making slurping sounds as he gulped it all down. By now, the whole guild was watching this little interaction.

He placed the bowl down, licking off the little bit that trailed down his lips. "I don't know how, but you somehow recreated Old Man's Teuchi's exact recipe. I can't even taste difference between his and yours." He looked up at her with a beaming smile, "I'll have more if you've got it."

That cheered Mira up, took the empty bowl with a smile and went back into the kitchen to refill the bowl Naruto had downed. Mira came back with a larger plate, this time with 3 bowls, which Naruto certainly wasn't gonna complain about. Placing the larger plate on an empty table, Naruto followed her as they both sat down, and Naruto began to dig into his second bowl of Ramen. A couple of the other guild members, like Gray, Lucy, Natsu, and Erza drew closer, curious what it was that got the blonde ninja mage so emotional.

"What's so special about it? It's looks like just noodles and broth," Gray noted, wondering what the big deal was.

Naruto paused his eating, placing his chopsticks down. "Maybe so, but to me, it was probably the most important thing in my childhood, cause the only thing I could afford to eat growing up." Naruto revealed, surprising the others.

"I know I've told you all about the negative things I experienced as the 9-tails' Jinchuriki, but there were some bright spots in my childhood. It wasn't ALL doom and gloom." He said. "To that starving 4 year old on that cold winter night, letting that kid eat in his ramen stand meant the world to me. From that point on, I was Teuchi Ichiraku's most loyal customer. He took a major hit to his business when it was discovered that I was eating there. But Teuchi was a good man and never let that bother him. He always let me eat, and he was probably undercharging me, just so I could eat."

"He was, the first person, to treat me like a normal person." Naruto said, remembering the old man who had shown him kindness at a time he had desperately needed it.

"So you see, this broth and noodles, may not seem like much to you. But to a 4 year old boy who couldn't afford to live, it meant and still means the world to him." Naruto said as he went back to eating.

"Oh, so it's kinda like Erza with her strawberry cake?" Natsu wondered out loud.

"Hmm, what's this about?" Naruto asked.

"Oh, it's just Erza really loves strawberry cake and will eat pounds of it a day," Mirajane with a smilre, teasing Erza.

"Mira!" Erza said blushing in embarrassment, before saying to herself "I don't eat THAT much."

"Really?" Mirajane said before she gave her old rival a look that implied 'Don't give me that nonsense' "I know what's in those suitcases you lug around on every mission, and it's not spare weapons." Erza paled and sweat profusely, and simultaneously wasn't sure how to feel about it, because in her youth, she and Mira fought all the time, but their rivalry had died when Mira's personality did a complete 180 after Lisanna's 'death'. They had been cordial and friendly ever since. Erza noticed now a little bit of the old Mira was starting to come back. And she figured it might have something to do with Naruto.

Every one of the Fairy Tail mages were kinda nervous. Many either remembering the brawls Mira and Erza would get up to in their youth, or having heard the stories in cases like Lucy's. Everyone was wondering if Mira was about to transform and they were about to start a brawl. And that's the last thing anyone wanted.

Except for one person.

"Well whatever. I want a rematch, since I didn't fight the real you back on Tenrou Island," he pointed at Naruto, declaring proudly "I challenge you to a fight!".

"I ain't interested" was Naruto's answer to the challenge as he gulped down the broth from the 2nd bowl of Ramen.

"What!" Natsu blanched before he roared out "I'm challenging you right here! Not even Erza answered it like that!"

"Aye, even though she always wins" Happy added in with his trademark gesture.

"Why would I fight you though? It'd be like wailing on a helpless baby. That's no fun." Naruto said with a straight face, knowing Natsu wouldn't stand hearing that.

"What the-!? Okay then!" Natsu roared and his magic flared powerfully, "I make you to fight me then!" and charged at Naruto, who only turned his head to look at Natsu.

Even though Erza and even Makarov wanted to stop Natsu from attacking another guildmate inside of the Guild, which was already too small for a fight in the first place, they couldn't help but hold their breath and try not to blink in order to fully see what Naruto would do. Everyone knew that Naruto was far too powerful for his age. Not even Gildarts, the Ace of Fairy Tail, could do anything to Acnologia and yet Naruto managed to injure the beast.

Then suddenly, when Natsu's fist was about to collide with Naruto's faced, the pink haired boy suddenly stopped dead in his track.

Silence.

Before their eyes widened in shock when Natsu began to sweat uncontrollably, his eyes slowly widened and fear made it to his face, as if he just saw something terrifying.

"Y-you..." Natsu stuttered before he collapsed to his knees.

"Like I said" Naruto said as he turned back to his Ramen, saying lazily as Natsu put a hand on his chest, trying to catch his breath "I'm not interested."

"He...he defeated Natsu by staring at him?" Jet gasped in shock.

"What the hell?" Gray muttered in shock.

Gildart gulped slightly at that, he didn't know what Naruto just did, but clearly it was more than enough to put the incredible brave Salamander of Fairy Tail down to his knees, something that had only happened once before when he decided that he would no longer go easy on him during the S-class exam.

From Naruto, he didn't even feel a slight burst of magical energy nor he saw his body move, all he did was sit there and...like Jet said, stared at Natsu.

"Had enough yet?" Naruto asked, glancing down the spot where Natsu was at.

"You're strong..." The dragon slayer of Fairy Tail said with a wide smirk, glancing up to Naruto "but...I won't lose to you!"

"Heh" Everyone widened their eyes when they saw Naruto's lips curled up a little in a small smirk, "Nice eyes you got here, kid."

"Kid?" Natsu asked before exploding "What the hell, man? I'm no older than you, bastard!" But he was immediately held back by Lucy and Gray.

"Shut up Natsu!" Erza appeared next to him and punched him in the head, making him sit on the ground and rub his head. She turned to Naruto and said with an apologetic tone, "My deepest apology Naruto, he is rather immature for his age."

"Don't worry, he reminds me alot of myself when I was young" Naruto shook his head, the smirk on his face turned into a small smile "He got guts and a lot of willpower, that's all he needs to grow strong."

All of a sudden, the light in the guild went out, before coming back on, to reveal Mira in the middle of the room, with a guitar and a magic microphone near her.

"Alright, everyone.I'd like to take a minute and dedicate this song in celebration of our safe return after 7 years!" Mira said as she began to sing.

As I brush my hand against your empty desk...

...I cast a shadow...

I'm alone for yet another day...

I look up at the starry sky and say a prayer...

At the same time,
you're beneath the same sky...

Everyone listened to Mira's beautiful voice as she sung. Naruto hadn't known she could sing like this.

At the same time,
you're beneath the same sky...

Sometimes you'll tremble
while holding back tears

and other times you'll feel like
you're going to stumble in the darkness...

Slowly and surely, the children
of Fairy Tail are growing up.

and other times you'll feel like
you're going to stumble in the darkness...

-Perhaps it's about time for me to step down.
- But don't forget...

- But don't forget...

You have a place...

You have a place to return to...

And that you have people...

...waiting for you...

With the song done, Mira got up and sat back at the table where she had been sitting with Naruto, while everyone cheered for her.

"I didn't know you could sing like that, Mira-chan." Naruto said with a smile.

"There is a good few things you don't know about me yet, Naruto-kun." Mira said with a smile.

"We'll, I look forward to learning them." Naruto said with smile.

"That was great! Who's next?!" Macao shouted as the lights went out and came back, revealing Gajeel in the singing spot.

"Wh-What the...?!" Natsu exclaimed, suddenly getting flashbacks from when the new guild had first opened up, right after Team Natsu's big fight with Jellal.

"This is a little ditty I wrote called "Best Friend." Give it a listen." Gajeel said as he began to sing.

Colorful, colorful, shoo-bee-doo-ba!

Shiver with love!

Iron-colored and metallic!

"Oh, yeah, I remember this!" Elfman said as he had liked this song the first time he heard it.

"Way to go, Gajeel!" Levy shouted.

"Rock on!" Jet and Droy shouted.

Too-too-too sha-la-la-la!

Shoo-bee-doo-ba!

Sha-la-la!

Take a bite and sweet nectar will come out...

Take a bite and sweet nectar will come out...

"Gah! This is still as bad at it was the first time I heard it!" Natsu said loudly as he covered his ears, though it did little good with his enhanced hearing. "You still suck, metal head!" At that, Gajeel threw the guitar at Natsu, smacking him dead in the face.

He shouted something at Natsu, but nobody could really tell what was said, since he had a harmonica in his mouth. Natsu understood it though, and was mad.

"You want a piece of me?!" Natsu said as he was itching for a fight. Both of them leapt into the air, kicking at each other, their legs connecting in mid-air. "Shoo-bee-doo-ba!" Gajeel shouted as their kicks connected.

They then tumbled to the ground and began brawling, kicking up a cloud of dust around them.

"I still owe you some payback for last time!" Natsu shouted as they fought, to which Gajeel replied, "Shoo-bee-doo-ba, you moron!"

"Please, stop!" Makarov pleaded with them, not wanting them to wreck the guild.

Naruto, feeling in the mood for one of his pranks, decided to join in a little bit and make Natsu mad. Reaching out with his Gravity magic, he grabbed one of the empty beer mugs on the countertop and launched at Natsu. It smacked the pinkette dead in the cheek, making him look in that direction, which was the complete opposite direction of where Natuto was sitting.

"All right, who threw that?!" Natsu shouted.

"Natsu! Quit screwing around!" Gray said as he got up from his seat, accidentally bumping Erza, who was eating a piece of strawberry cake. This caused her to lose her balance and the cake to hit the floor.

"My... strawberry cake…" Erza whispered to herself in horror, and then let out a girlish shriek when Elfman's foot came down and smashed the cake.

"That's enough! Be real men and take this outside!" he shouted, not realizing he had accidentally crushed Erza's cake.

"Watch it, you oaf!" Erza shouted as she donned her Heartz Kreuz armor and kicked him across the room. At that, several of the rowdy members joined in, starting an all out brawl.

"Someone! Restrain 'em!" Macao said in worry, they couldn't afford to fix the damage from a brawl right now.

"Those insolent brats!" Makarov grumbled and stood up, preparing to get up and deal with this. He normally had no problems with brawls, he was guilty of doing it a lot in his youth, and he was more than willing to let them play out for a while. But that was back when they had a lot more money to fix the repairs. They weren't in that position now.

"Just let them get it out of their system, Master." Naruto said to him as he took a sip of tea, "I'll fix all the damage later".

Makarov and Mira turned to Naruto, not sure Naruto understood the situation. "I don't know how aware you are of the Fairy Tail brawls, they tend to get quite expensive to fix the damage after what happens. Don't know if you noticed, but the guild doesn't have the funds to fix that right now." Makarov said.

"I'm aware. And I'll be able to make it like it never happened in the first place. Literally." Naruto said as he gave him serious look.

"You're certain?" Makarov asked hesitantly.

"I am." Naruto admitted, and Makarov reluctantly relented.

Natsu looked up from his brawl with Gajeel to see the rest of the guild had gotten into the brawl, with Erza smashing a table on top of Elfman. It all just made him smile, it was almost like they never left. "Now this is the Fairy Tail I–"

"Don't take your eye off me!" Gajeel shouted, hitting Natsu with an Iron Dragon Club, sending him flying. Natsu crashed into a table, a ceramic bowl breaking, spilling the soup it contained. Natsu paid it little mind, hopping back up and leaping at Gajeel.

He didn't bother to check to see which table he had crashed into.

Naruto absentmindedly clacked his chopsticks at empty air, while his last bowl of ramen lay broken and spilled on the floor. He clacked them several more times at empty air, before veins became visible on his forehead and arm. He growled in anger, snapping the chopsticks he had created earlier.

Natsu and and Gajeel were in the middle of thier brawl, when they heard a shout. "Natsu!" Came Naruto's above them. They paused thier brawl only to see Naruto come down on top of them, slamming his elbow into Natsu, with Gajeel underneath him, kicking up a cloud of dust 10 feet high. That caused comical shock to wash over the rest of fairy tail and immediately stopped the rest of the brawls happening.

"He's going overboard again!" Lucy cried out as she had been sent flying into the air by the shockwave of his attack.

"You better have been telling the truth, Naruto! Otherwise, it's coming out of your paycheck!" Makarov comically shouted at Naruto, seeing he had done more damage to the guild hall than all the other brawls.

Naruto paid Makarov no mind as he held Gajeel and Natsu up by their hair, while they only saw his entire figure shadowed and bright red eyes shining in the darkness, promising nothing but pain. "You both are gonna pay for spilling my last Ramen bowl!"

The screams of pain and cries from mercy that followed taught the guild a couple lessons. One, don't get Naruto involved in the brawls. And two, definitely do not spill his Ramen.
