Everything was a blur, Tori was thrown across the room, As I ran towards her to see if she was okay; a blast went off somewhere to the side of me, I was thrown across the room. My back hit a pillar, pain erupted in my spine, and I crumpled to the ground. My chest burned as I tried to breathe, I was wheezing while I fought to get to right myself again quickly and by the time I had gotten to my feet, the djinn was already advancing on me. I looked around for something to help me but of course in good old Winchester fashion, I found zip, turning back to face the djinn I put my fists up in front of me, my brothers always said you're never a dead man until you can't throw a punch anymore.
The djinn lunged forward, bright blue tattooed arms shone brightly as it tried to get a hold of me, but I dodged it, swinging my body out of its reach. I brought my right fist forward connecting to the ugly son of a bitch's face, blood sprayed across the floor before he lunged for me again this time catching me, pulling me towards him so he could get both hands on me, he picked me up with ease and he threw me across the room. My back slammed against a thick corrugated iron door; the wind once again ripped from my lungs; the burning sensation spread through my chest again as I took every breath just to stay conscious. I could hear grunting and blows landing as black spots danced around my vision, I blinked hard; trying to focus my eyes.
My vision came clearer with each blink, the burning in my chest eased and my legs moved on their own accord by instinct. Moving underneath me, my legs pushed my tired and aching body off the floor as Tori threw herself against the djinn's back causing the djinns head to slam against another corrugated door. When I finally regained the ability to move, I ran at full speed towards the fairy tale creature's back as he stood up facing us, holding the front of his head; throwing every ounce of strength I had, I brought my knee up into his chest. I felt the bone of the djinn's sternum bend and crack under the force of my knee as the both of us landed with a deep thud against the steel door behind him, his eyes widening before going completely blank as he slumped against the wall. Moving back quickly I turned to Tori who lay on the ground catching her breath "see what did I tell ya? Piece of cake" I huffed falling next to her, she laughed "blunt force trauma huh? How did you know it would work?" She asked turning her head to look at me.
"Sam and De-" My response was cut off by a ringing phone, I looked over at Tori and she shook her head. Reaching into my pockets I fished out my cell phone, the screen lit up brightly with Uncle Noah ️
Cringing guiltily, I swiped answer my uncle's immediately concerned voice making me feel that much worse.
"Theodora, where are you? You said you would be here in a few days; it's been almost a fortnight."
"I'm so sorry Uncle Noah, Uncle Bobby needed me to do a few things first, and then I needed to go to see a friend. She and her boyfriend split, and she was in a full tragic spiral, and I couldn't exactly leave her like that. She could have carb binged and gained weight which would only make this worse and to be honest with you she is not a cute chubby girl" I recited my script with ease as I acted like a typical airhead teen.
"No, no of course not. I'm just worried that's all kiddo" another twinge pinged in my chest.
"I promise to be there in like 3 days, four at the most. I love you Uncle Noah" I sighed into the phone.
"Love you too, teddy."
