Chapter nine:
Leo is curious what Raph wants to talk about. He slightly wonders if it could be about what had happened earlier. "Sure. Come in." He sits down on the end of his bed.
Raph enters before gently closing the door behind himself. He walks over sitting down next to Leo on the others bed.
Leo doesn't mind and waits wanting to let Raph speak first since he wanted to talk.
After a brief moment of quiet Raph does start speaking. "Leo. I'm sorry for what happened today. If I hadn't let myself get so distracted I could have stopped it sooner." He takes a slight breath when Leo places an assuring hand on his shoulder. "I was supposed to tag along to help you feel safe. Yet you got grabbed and dragged away. If I hadn't noticed we had lost sight of you, especially when we did, I truly dread to think of what would have happened. Not that I want to stress you out or anything. I just don't like how far things got when they should have been stopped sooner."
"Raph." Leo starts to say something only to find Raph still wants to talk.
"Honestly it also makes me angry to think that he touched you and desires you. I understand you couldn't control what happened. I just don't like him even being around you." Raphs slight rambling could be passed off as him speaking about it this way since what Usagi did, however Leo gets a feeling there's more to it than that. "I do want you to be happy. In whatever relationship you have with an alpha. As long as you're treated right. You can have whoever you want. I just..." His gaze shifts to fully not look at the other. He lets out a slight huff before he continues to speak. "I just want it to be me who you pick. I know I'd do right by you and even if I don't then I'd rather work harder to do so instead of just being a bad partner." He stops clearly realizing what he's saying. His whole face heating up in a huge blush. "Ah. What I mean is that I want you with someone who will do right for you and try to be the best they can. A good alpha." He clears his throat a little. "Just misspoke is all. Sorry hopefully that clears it up."
Leo doesn't respond right away as his eyes stare at what he can see of Raphs face, mainly his cheek, with his own blush across his cheeks. He hadn't expected a confession from Raph in this way. He also can tell that for the hot head it genuinely slipped out. He doubts that it was meant to be a part of the conversation. His heart slightly pounding with joy that the alpha he wants desires him too. He just can't quite find the words to respond right now. His shocked trance is interrupted when Raph shifts and his words help too.
"I should go. Thanks for letting me chat. Sorry I ruined it by making the mistake of how I worded that one part." Raph is clearly about to leave. He stops as Leo clenches his hand onto the others shoulder a little.
Leo can't let him leave without knowing his response to that confession. He knows how awkward things will feel, especially for Raph, if he doesn't do this now. He knows he won't get a better chance than this to share his feelings for the alpha.
Raph is slightly tugged by the shoulder towards the other. He turns his head at feeling this. As soon as he's looking at Leo said turtle leans in fluttering his eyes closed just before kissing his lips. He freezes in surprise getting a gentle kiss from the lead turtle. His eyes after a moment fall halfway closed in enjoyment of getting the kisses from the omega. He is ably to fully close his eyes and kiss back only for Leo to pull away. His half open eyes look right at Leo's that open to only be halfway open as well.
"I want to be your omega too Raph. I just wasn't sure I'd really be the one you'd want." Leo admits spotting a smile coming across Raphs lips. He feels his heart skip a beat at the genuine smile from the hotheaded turtle.
"It's okay Leo. I'm so glad you feel the same." Raphs body does fully relax from that earlier tension. "When I realized what had slipped out I thought I had fucked it all up. That you wouldn't want to be around me anymore because of my desire towards you. I understand that the alpha desiring you thing hasn't been going the best." His rambling is silenced by a quick sweet kiss.
"It's okay Raph. I know you'll be a better alpha. I trust you and I do know you really well. I would indeed like to follow this next step with you. Maybe one day becoming bonded mates." Leo touches his neck knowing that a mating bite helps to connect two to become one as mates. "If I wanted anyone to help me with my heat I would want it to be you. No one else. I've never fallen for anyone else. Only you."
"Only you too Leo." Raph places a hand lovingly on Leo's cheek. "I've only ever loved you Leo. It was always you. I was ready to accept a beta to be mine then you presented. It didn't matter though as I'd be happy to have you as mine. Beta or omega."
Leo feels his heart warm so much at hearing this. He meets Raph halfway as they stare a kiss with their eyes closed. His arms wrap around Rsphs neck and shoulders. He also feels Raph's arms around his lower torso by his waist.
Both of them gently pulling each other closer to one another's bodies. Their rhythm with the kiss still going strong and passionate even without tongue. After a few moments the two break apart.
Raph opens his eyes almost halfway.
Leo lets his eyes remain closed taking in the wonderful feeling from the kiss.
"Damn Leo." Raph slightly mutters though is loud enough for the other to hear. "I can tell you haven't done that before, though I haven't either, yet it's like you kind of have a natural talent for it."
Leo opens his eyes mostly to halfway witty the blush on his face darkening. "You're a really good kisser too." He almost chuckles a little at seeing Raphs pride boost upon hearing that. He leaves it alone as this is Raph who has already captured Leo's heart.
"I'm glad I can call you mine." Raph nuzzles Leo's cheek getting a soft churr from him. He inhales through his nose taking in Leo's scent.
Leo starts to do so too only for Raph to pull away standing up. He blinks at the other wanting to beg him to return to their embrace.
Raph rubs the back of his head blushing though not as much as when his confession slipped out. "Well uh... I probably should head to bed. If I keep this up right now I might get hard and my instincts want you so bad. We shouldn't rush things and I don't want to force you. I love you and goodnight." He leaves the omegas room before getting an answer.
Leo sits there for a few moments staring at the closed door wanting to call Raph back. He manages to hold back the urge to chirp and call for the other. He finally tears his gaze away from the door deciding to just head to bed. He finishes getting ready to sleep then while hugging the pillow he smiles. His mind replaying what happened just now as he drifts off into sleep.
The next day...
Raph takes Leo's hand into his own after they leave the kitchen since they finished breakfast.
Donnie took breakfast to his lab.
Mikey has to stay behind as it is his turn to clean today. He is a bit grumpy about it though a look from Leo keeps him from trying to trick someone else into doing it.
"We can tell them when you feel ready. I'll understand if you want more time to focus on settling into the relationship, and not wanting to be public right away. Whenever you're ready. I don't really care when it comes out. I just know we'll have to share eventually if we do continue to work out. Which I believe that we will be great for each other."
Leo nods softly and gently squeezes Raphs hand noticing that their fingers are intertwined. He had glanced down trying to not blush much and his gaze spots their hands together. "Thank you Raph. I will let you know when."
Raph nods his head kissing Leo's forehead before parting from the other. He heads off towards his room likely to relax for a bit.
Leo is left standing there trying to not think too much on telling the others. He knows that time will come. He glances around trying to decide what he's going to do today at least. He ends up deciding to do some meditation figuring it'll be something good to do.
... Two days later...
Leo doesn't understand why he's been feeling warmer than before and a little sluggish. He truly hopes that he isn't coming down with some kind of illness. He heads out with Kaya, feeling more comfortable with just him after what happened last time, where they jump from rooftop to rooftop.
They stay away from any nature areas to stop a possible repeat of before.
Leo slows to a stop at the edge of one roof panting a little. He doesn't understand why he's feeling so warm now and unable to keep up with as much.
Kaya comes over next to Leo concerned about him. "Hey man. You sure you're okay?"
"Yeah." Leo lets out a breath as he settles his breathing. "Just need a small break. Today seems to be an off day for me is all." He notices Kaya frown a little more in worry. He turns to the other who moves a step closer nose twitching. "What are you doing?" He questions not sure what to make of it. His body slightly heats up by the closeness of the alpha, and he feels like there's something that he should be doing. He just truly doesn't know what that something is.
Kaya shifts back a step before gently grabbing Leo by the wrist. "We have to take you home now." He tells the turtle urgently. He gently yet firmly leads Leo to get off of the roof.
"Why? Kaya what's going on?" Leo questions as they walk down an alley. He's feeling a little uneasy by Kaya's urgency. He hopes that other didn't notice Usagi or something else that has danger on it. He just knows that Kaya must have caught some kind of danger based on how he's reacting.
Kaya pauses turning to him in surprise before clearly reminding himself of something. "Okay this is your first rodeo with all of this." He takes a deep breath before he continues. "Leo, your heat is starting." His words cause the turtles eyes to widen. "You're starting to get that great smell on you. The longer we stay out here the more likely you're going to attract alphas to us. It's all only going to get stronger and a strong heat scent is impossible to hide. Alphas will be all over you before you know it. It's safer at your home."
Understanding crosses Leo's face at the situation. He's been told about heat so how could he have missed the signs!? He lets Kaya lead him home trying to avoid anywhere anyone might be for safety. He pauses by a manhole cover as the other removes it then looks to him. He gives a nod and the two carefully head to get to the sewers.
Once in the sewers the two race to get to the lair.
Kaya slows to a stop once inside only to watch as Leo darts off to his room shutting the door.
"Did something happen?" Splinter asks moving closer with Raph standing where he can listen.
"With it being his first time Leo didn't realize his heat was coming before we went out. I'm pretty sure we caught it rather early at least." Kaya explains getting nods of understanding.
"Well thank you for noticing and getting him here safely." Splinter tells Kaya followed by a slight bow of appreciation to one another
Raph turns away to stare at Leo's door with a desire to join his partner. He could do so since they are together. He is also aware that Leo might not be in the best mindset to talk about it.
An omega is rather fertile in heat more so than before. Making pregnancy during heat a rather high percent chance of happening.
Plus as the heat comes in more and more it messes with the mind more and more.
So Leo could consent now then regret it later.
Raph manages to shake himself back into what is happening by him just in time for Kaya to leave. He glances to Splinter who turns to him.
"Are you ready to step up to take Leo's place for a bit?" Splinter asks making Raph just now remember that part.
"Guess so." Raph agrees with a light shrug. He'd rather be helping his mate, though until they confirm to spend their heat or even rut together with sound minds he can't.
"Great. I believe in you." Splinter walks away not really noticing Raph keeps getting distracted with thoughts about Leo.
Raph takes a breath. "Glad that it's one of us who believes that I can do it. At least now that Leo agreed to date me." He whispers under his breath in a slight mummer. He shakes his head before heading to inform Mikey and Donnie. He wants to make sure that they are all indeed on the same page. He knows how important it is for teammates in battle to be on the same page. He tries to not think about Leo at all right now. His instincts upset that he's not racing into Leo's room to be with his mate during his heat. He just needs to try to power through his instincts as best as he can. He just hopes that he can hold himself off long enough that he won't be needed by the time he gives in.
