I do not own Pokémon at all. Also, the idea is not original per se. A YouTuber's video gave me ideas. I also talked to said YouTuber personally and he helped out. His name is EliteMJ, go look him up on YouTube, his videos are very well-made.
Five years ago, A great Pokémon War occurred. The forces of Good, led by Kanto and Alola Champion Ash Ketchum, fought against the forces of Evil, and the Evil teams united under Team Rocket Leader Giovanni. People and Pokémon fell on both sides. Eventually, the United Organizations was defeated and many of its leaders were either imprisoned or killed in the war. The War was a costly one on both sides. Many beloved Pokémon were lost, including Ash's own Torkoal.
The cost of Trainers in the war also raised the Age limit from ten years old to 16 years old. This is the case for even the son of the Pokémon Master Ash Ketchum. The son's name… was Aaron. He was given the name after the hero of old. He had his father's hairstyle, his father's eyes, the Z's on his cheeks, and his love For Pokémon. His Hair color was given to him by his mother, the Top Coordinator of Hoenn and daughter of the Normal type Gym Leader of Petalburg City Norman Kirtman, May Kirtman-Ketchum. Her Partner Glaceon and Pikachu also were expecting as Glaceon nuzzled a Pokémon Egg while Pikachu slept beside her.
One day, Aaron looked at the Calendar in his room. He saw that in a few days was his 16th Birthday and he circled that date. He walked down the Stairs and saw his grandmother Delia and Mr. Mine. Aaron called out to his grandma, who turned and smiled at him before they shared a hug. Aaron then saw his mom's Glaceon and his dad's Pikachu nuzzling up to their egg.
Kneeling, Aaron petted them both on their heads. That was when a voice said, "So buddy, have you decided on what you want to do when you turn 16?" Aaron looked behind him and saw his dad and Mom. He smiled and hugged his parents before he said, "Well Dad, I'm gonna be a Pokémon Master, but I also want to be a top Coordinator like mom." May smiled at her son and kissed his forehead before Ash said, "Honestly son it's your choice. Either one you pick, we'll be behind you 100% of the way."
"Thanks, Dad," Aaron said before hugging his dad. Then May said, "There's also your little sister, she wants to follow in my steps and be a coordinator, so how about you follow your dad and she can follow me." Aaron nodded his head when he got hugged by his baby 10-year-old sister, Delia. Named after their grandmother, Little Delia had her mom's hairstyle while her hair color was black. Her eyes were one brown and one blue. She also had a passion for Pokémon, like her parents.
"Hiya Big Bro!" Delia said as she giggled. Aaron smiled and hugged his little sister. He then looked at his dad and asked to go check on his pokémon. Ash chuckled and said, "Sure. And before you ask Sweetie, your mom and Grandma need you here." Little Delia puffed her cheeks and crossed her arms. Aaron ruffled her hair before walking out of the Ketchum household.
At the Oak Pokémon Ranch, Aaron jumped the fence and waved at all of his dad's Pokémon. They saw him and ran over to him, the first to get to Aaron was his dad's Meganium which was once a Bayleef that evolved during the Region Wars. Aaron rubbed her snout and petted them all when a voice said, "Ah, Young Aaron, what brings you here?" Aaron looked and saw retired Pokémon Professor Samuel Oak.
"Old Oak!" he said as he walked over and said that he wanted to see how his dad's Pokémon were doing since his Birthday was in a few days. Samuel Oak smiled and said, "Oh that's right, and I assume you will be wanting a Pikachu as a starter Pokémon like your father?" Aaron rubbed the back of his neck and nodded his head. He then said, "That would be something I would like." Samuel Oak nodded his head before letting him back to playing with his Dad's Pokémon.
A few minutes later, Aaron walked over to a tree on a hill where three graves were for three of his dad's Pokémon; Buizel, Unfezant, and Torkoal. He sat down and said, "Hey Buizel, Unfezant, Torkoal. I know it's been some time since I was last here. I'll be turning 16 soon and I'll be getting my first Pokémon." He then thought back to when he was just about to turn 8 years old. Aaron was having fun playing with his dad's Pokémon, Especially Buizel, Unfezant, and Torkoal.
He was petting Unfezant when his dad came to the ranch and called for all his Pokémon. Aaron looked and ran to his dad and that was when he heard his dad say, "We are going lead the gym leaders, champions, and other trainers into a war." Ash's Pokémon were shocked, but Aaron was horrified. He asked his dad what happened and Ash told his son that he would tell him when he was older.
"Until I return you have to remain to help your mom out and your grandmother as well," Ash said to his son. Aaron saw that his dad was telling him to take care of his mom, baby sister, and his grandmother. Aaron nodded his head and shared a hug with his dad. Ash had recalled all his Pokémon as Pikachu sat on his shoulder and said goodbye to his family for the time. Aaron held his little sister as she cried on his shoulder while May and Delia wished Ash good luck. A Year into the War, all of the core Regions passed laws to increase the age of being a Pokémon Trainer from 10 to sixteen with the conflict drawing young trainers into it, trainers that were too young for war..
Five years after that goodbye, Ash had returned home. Aaron was the first to run out and hug his dad, May ran and hugged him next followed by Delia carrying little Delia. Ash had told them the war was a costly one, and he lost three of his pokémon himself. Aaron asked which three he lost and Ash told his son that it was Buizel, Unfezant, and Torkoal. Aaron was shocked, but he held his dad as the man let the five years of held-back tears out.
In the present, Aaron stood up and placed his hand on all three graves before walking back home. Back home, May walked to him and said, "Aaron, Glaceon and Pikachu egg's about to hatch." Aaron smiled and came to where the egg was and saw it glowing. Afterward, it began to hatch and out came a Pichu, but not just any Pichu, a Shiny one. Ash scanned the Pichu and his pokédex read, "Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon, an Electric Type. It is unskilled at storing electric power. Any kind of shock causes it to discharge energy spontaneously. This Pichu is a Shiny and is Female, it knows Thunder Shock, Tail Whip, and Iron Tail."
Aaron smiled before Ash handed his son a Pokéball and said, "Just because you get your Pokémon Trainer's License at 16, doesn't mean you can't catch a Pokémon." Aaron thanked his dad and slowly knelt before the Pichu after meeting her parents. He introduced himself to the Pichu and asked her if she wanted to join him on becoming the best Pokémon Trainer. Pichu looked towards her parents and saw them nodding. Pichu then looked back and poked the button on the Pokéball, going inside it and being caught by Aaron.
"I caught my first ever Pokémon… Thank you, Dad!" Aaron shouted as he hugged Ash. The Champion smiled and patted his son's back before saying, "Consider this an early birthday present from me." Aaron then called out Pichu and decided on a name for her. He told Pichu, "How does Rei sound for your name?" Pichu smiled and was now Rei the Pichu. She hopped onto Aaron's shoulder and nuzzled him, giving him a small shock.
"That's totally your daughter, old buddy," Ash said to his Pikachu, who was proud of his daughter. Then May handed Aaron a hat and gloves. She told him that with help from his grandmother, May made the hat and gloves look like Ash's old hat and gloves. Aaron thanked his mom and grandma before Ash handed him his old vest. "This vest has seen me through many journeys, now it's time for your journey son." Aaron took the vest and put it on. He was a near-spitting image of his dad when he was 15 going on 16.
"I'm gonna be like you dad, I'm gonna be the very best. After the League, I'll train and when I feel like I'm ready, I'll challenge you for the champion spot." Aaron proclaimed as he pointed at his dad. Ash smiled as May giggled behind her hand and Grandma Delia said, "That would be a battle I want to see." Little Delia agreed as Pikachu hopped onto Ash's Shoulder and he said to his son, "Alright Aaron. I'll be waiting for your challenge." Aaron nodded and the two fist bumped.
Meanwhile, In Vermillion City, a crowd gathered outside the Vermillion City Gym to protest the reopening of it by Giovanni's hidden Daughter, Titanium. Some distance away stood Franklin "Frankie" Stone and his boyfriend Dennis along with his mom Daisy Oak-Stone. Franklin glared at the gym and clenched his hand. His dad, Steven Stone, had fought in the war and was one of the casualties in the war.
"Easy darling. You know there's nothing we can do." Dennis said as he tried to calm his boyfriend down. Daisy looked at her son and sighed, losing his father was a big blow for him. Soon it began to rain as a Limo arrived. The crowd roared and threw rotten Tomatoes at the windows of the Limousine. Daisy Oak-Stone put a hand on her son's shoulder and squeezed it. That was when a thug grabbed her purse and ran. Frankie got pissed someone would steal his mom's purse as it had her Pokémon in it.
"HEY! GIVE THAT BACK!" He shouted as he gave chase to the thug. Daisy tried to stop her son, but Dennis told her that he had the situation. Back with Frankie, he chased the thug into an Alleyway where a nearby Oddish was resting. He grabbed the Thug's hood and pulled back, making him drop Daisy's Purse. Snatching it up, Frankie quickly sent out his mom's Vileplume while the thug sent out an Alolan Sandslash. Frankie told his Vileplume to Sleep Powder on the Sandslash. Vileplume obeyed and shot Sleep Powder, but the thug told his Sandslash to dodge and then use Ice Beam. and that move scored a direct hit on Vileplume. Frankie recalled his mom's Vileplume and turned to run, but the thug had his Sandslash use an Ice Beam on Frankie's legs, keeping him in place. The Oddish saw all of this and was in awe of the battle when a Growlithe shot a Flamethrower and hit the Alolan Sandslash as Officer Jenny arrived.
"Freeze!" Shouted Officer Jenny, but the Thug turned tail and ran, but Growlithe pinned the Thug to the ground. Frankie was able to get his legs freed as Dennis and Daisy got to him and asked if he was ok. Frankie told the two, "Yeah, but Vileplume took an Ice Beam." He handed his mom the bag when the Oddish that was in the alleyway jumped up and down near Frankie. He looked at the Oddish and was confused before Dennis said, "Seems like a Pokémon wants to join your team, it would be your first Pokémon baby."
Frankie was then gifted a Pokéball by his mother, and he knelt before tapping the Oddish and soon it was caught. Frankie smiled before kissing Dennis and hugging his mother. Daisy then told them, "Now that your birthday's coming up my sweet boy, we need to head to Pallet Town so your uncle can register you for a license."
"Nice, well Oddish buddy, looks like we're going to be going on a journey soon," Frankie said with a smile to the Pokeball. Back in Pallet Town, a young girl stretched out of her bed as it was to be her 16th birthday soon and she wanted to make sure she was constantly getting up to make sure she could go to her dad's lab and get her first pokémon and she knew what Starter she wanted for her partner Pokémon. Her name was Daphne Violet Oak. Her dream was to follow in her dad's footsteps by becoming a Pokémon Researcher. She then heard her mom say, "Daphne, breakfast is ready!"
"I'll be right down Mom!" she replied with a smile. She sat up and saw the Eevee that her dad and mom gave her as a birthday gift on her 15th birthday. She petted the young Evolution Pokémon and it woke up. She looked at her young Trainer and nuzzled her hand before hopping onto her shoulder. Daphne smiled and walked down the stairs to the kitchen. There stood her mom, leader of the Cerulean City gym, Misty Waterflower-Oak.
"Ooo looks good," Daphne said as she sat at the table. She had her dad's hairstyle and her mom's Hair color. Her love for Pokémon was strong, but she has one issue, she inherited her fear of Bug types from her mom. Misty placed down Miltank Pancakes and told her daughter, "Soon it will be time for you to get your Pokémon Trainer's License. I wish you could have just stayed my adorable baby girl."
Giggling, Daphne looked at her mom and said, "You and Dad both, but I am my own woman. And I'm like a Pidgey, I have to leave the nest sometime." Misty smiled at her daughter. hugged her and said, "So true. Still, what are the chances that you and your cousin were born on the same day?" Daphne rolled her eyes before her mom said that her cousin and his family were coming to Kanto so they could get their trainer licenses.
"Oh Hell yeah!" Shouted Daphne. Misty shot her a look before saying, "Language." Daphne sweatdropped and said, "Right Mom… sorry." Misty smiled and hugged her daughter before their day started. Soon it was night time and Aaron was in his bedroom with Rei as he looked up at the Ceiling. He told Rei that he was gonna make his parents proud of him by beating all of Kanto's Gyms, beating the league then challenging his dad.
Rei smiled before sensing something. Aaron saw her reaction and asked her, "What's wrong?" Rei then ran to the window with Aaron following her. When he looked out the window, he saw a mist and then a Pokémon walking to the house before stopping. It looked up at Aaron and he heard a voice say, "When it is time, come find me, Son of Ash." Aaron thought he was hearing things and saw the Pokémon leave Pallet town. Rei looked up at her trainer and Arron looked down at her. The two were confused about what happened but decided to go back to sleep.
