She had been back for a week, and it was like they were tip-toeing around each other. While it had not been but a few days for her it had been two years for him.
"Are you seeing someone?"
"What?" He asked, looking down at her as she picked berries.
"I've been gone. Are you seeing someone?"
He eyes her for a moment. "No."
She stood. "You sure?" She put her hand on her hips and gave him a look; he didnt like it."You know I have to go back to the portal; the full moon is coming."
"How long will you be gone?"
"I dont know, maybe forever," Of course, she didn't mean that. "Never can tell with the portal and with the Kamis."
He grabbed her, and the basket of berries fell to the ground. Her clothing followed along with his as he took her.
"If you purify it, ill release in you."
It wasn't what she wanted to hear, but she would not deny him it; he came within her, and she closed her eyes and let the feeling of it all flow through her. He brought her hand to her tummy, and she purified it with one tear falling down her face. She wondered, did he even notice, or was he ignoring it?
