Kagome wanted a baby and he would bend for reasons. Their past blends and Sesshomaru has a plan for the future one that Kagome has no idea about. He still loves her, his wife a mere complication to his grand plan.

The Mikos and monks would not let her out. They made her stay and pray, and she did. They made her practice, and she did. They made her repent, and she did. They made her feel pain, and she took it. Then his mother came. "I will take her for a day; her son is getting married"

"Shippo," Kagome whispered.

"Return before the full moon rises," The monks said.

So arm in arm, they stepped back into the past. "One step closer, moon daughter."
