This is a little something I thought I try out, giving like small glimpse into the Diary to show things from the MC 's point of view, something to test out for the future Arc's of this story

I regret telling the two geniuses about this universe; I really do. As gunfire echoed through the narrow corridor, I was pressed against the wall, holding the line against a small squad of Unisols trying to kill us. The Da Vincis were running about, taking whatever interesting or valuable in the very high-tech, for this time, building. Bullets and grenades whizz through the air as the near-unkillable soldiers advance forward to my position, firing their guns to pin me down.
We had managed to block off the other entrances to funnel this single hallway to not get surrounded. But the problem with that is the said unkillable soldiers and the fact that I'm taking a small squad of eight, and even with the gun I had, I only managed to take two of them down with lucky headshots from the HE rounds.
The others learn quickly as they took turns giving covering fire as the rest advanced on me; their near-bottomless bullets and grenades made sure I couldn't fire back much and had to resort to blindfiring from my position.
"CASTER, RIDER, ARE YOU DONE YET? I AM NOT GOING TO HOLD THIS PLACE FOR LONG."
A grenade came very close to blowing my head off as I quickly jumped away to another fallback point while dodging as much as I could. In retaliation, I fire a quick burst of bullets before ducking back down to avoid the gunfire. I look back, and I can see the two geniuses taking their time stealing everything not nailed down and some that were.
My eyes twitch slightly as I shout at the two, "COME ON, PICK IT UP ALREADY!" Another bullet pierces the cover I was using, making me curse as I fire back another burst before ducking back down. The two look at me and both roll their eyes good-naturedly as Caster Vinci fires a blast from her staff that sends two of the Unisols flying, where I hear her say, "Don't worry, this Beautiful, Multiversal, Genius is ready at any time."
She gave me a cheeky wink, which her Rider form mimicked, making my eyes twitch before I got up and fired a HE round into another lucky headshot. "JUST TELL ME, ARE YOU DONE OR NOT?"
Another blast from the Caster, where she kept her cheeky smile and replied, "Yep, just need one last thing, so let's GOOO~~~~."
Before I knew it, the Rider version used her backpack arms and carried me in a bridal carry as the Caster let out a gig blast that took out the squad as we headed deeper into the facility. They stopped at a room where a large machine sat in front of a row of a control station. I think I recall this used to be the place where SETH was housed in as Rider sets me down at the entrance.
I shook my head as the two got to work dismantling the damn thing as I stood watch at the entrance. I have to say, despite the hiccup, it was pretty easygoing. Van Damme would probably be fighting Michael Jai White by now, and it's a bit of a shame that I couldn't go and see it live, but hey, at least I got something out of it.
I look at the gun in my hand, and I have to say, despite its blocky 90's style size, it handles pretty well. I mean, seriously, this thing fires bullets that can blow through concrete and yet has a moderate recoil that isn't going to take my arms out with a comfortable trigger pull.
I checked the gun out a bit more, making sure I reloaded a fresh magazine for the bullets and HE rounds. Cocking it, I kept watch until the Da Vincis were done and were now having Rider carry the damn thing as we headed back to the garage.
It wasn't a fully easy walk as we dealt with more Unisols, but I'll admit not having Servants would be a lot harder and more annoying to do all this.
As we walked past another corridor, the wind was suddenly taken out of me, where a large sound, then pain, came in seconds later. I let out a loud, painful groan before I felt two meaty hands grip my throat, making my eyes bug out as I stared into the eyes of motherfucking Goldberg, who seemed intent on killing me.
"Well, well, lookie here, a hotshot rat stealing our stuff," I heard the man say as he started choking me.
I tried knocking his arms, but the beefy 6-foot-plus tank of a man refused to let go. My vision was slowly fading as I tried to get out of the hold, at least until something knocked the wind out of the guy, which released the grip but sent me flying with him as well.
Gasping and choking, I could see Caster coming towards me before a barrage of explosions was shot at her. It wouldn't hurt her, but I knew she was going to be slightly distracted as I turned back to avoid a vicious swing from Goldberg.
"Stay still, bug," the Unisol said as I dodged his attacks as best as I could, which in turn forced me to move away from Da Vinci since I'm currently unarmed right now, and I'd rather deal with an unarmed super soldier than an armed one. I won't say I found an easy and simple way to deal with the massive super soldier because that would be a lie. I got my ass handed to me. Yes, Quetz did teach me a few things here and there, but that's still in a safe environment and mainly on lucha libre stuff with zero real-life experience, especially against a super soldier looking to paste me.
I did get some good licks in, but I doubt Goldberg felt most of it. My body was wracked in pain as we fought through a few rooms and trashed the place, though that was mainly on Goldberg's part. Finding myself in a bone-crushing bear hug took the lungs out of me, but Goldberg let go after smacking his ears multiple times, but all I got was a large boot in return.
My back slams hard into the wall, and instinct made me roll away from another bull charge by the large super soldier. As the man came out from the wall, I grabbed a large pipe, and using a bit of Reinforcement, I slammed the pipe up his nuts, making the man double over before grabbing his neck and using my body I hurl the both of us over a chair in a modify Stone Cold Stunner where I had his neck crash onto the edge of a chair as my back slam hard against the cold hard floor
Letting out another groan, I managed to turn my body to see Goldberg slowly getting up and looking even more pissed as the guy rubbed his throat. "Slippery little bastard," I heard him say, making me cough out a chuckle, retorting, "Surprise you still had something down there; with how much drugs and cold showers I would've thought it would have shrunk by now."
Was it smart taunting the Unisol? Not really. Was it fun? Hell yes, especially when I kept going, "Then again, can you even still use your little toy, or did it rot off?"
That set him off as he barreled right towards me yet again, only this time I was prepared, and with a flick of my wrist, I flashed him a bright Light Rune that blinds the massive man while I rolled out of the way, letting the Unisol crash into a metal container. Quickly getting up, I was ready to go again until I heard Caster shout out to me. Turning, I saw her throwing the gun into my hands, where I quickly aimed the weapon at Goldberg's head.
"Smile for the flash, asshole," then I started blasting the man with HE rounds, shot after shot. I didn't let up on the trigger, shooting him in the chest again and again before I put him in a position to blow his head off with the HE rounds.
Once I killed him, I dropped the gun and fell on my ass; Caster quickly got to me to check up on my body, making me groan as she asked if I was all right.
"Oh, I'm all right, not like I got my ass handed to me by a freaking truck with hands," I said sarcastically, making her giggle as Caster gently held me up, making me grunt in pain. "Easy, easy, delicate human over here."
All I got was her rolling her eyes as she helped drag me towards the garage where Rider Vinci waited for us.
First Rayshift, and all I got was an asskicking with no shirt. What a trip, 0/10 not recommended.
