The screen started to open up and prepare for a new round. This time, it was time for one of Knox's favorites.
The screen opened to show someone running away from an off screen threat. It was late at night and they were running down alleyways to try to lose whatever was behind them. However, a loud, beastial panting sound told them it was behind them. As they exited the alleys, they left the darker area and could be seen as a young woman with dark hair and a gold streak. She scrambled before a massive hand of dark energy reached out from the darkness and pulled her back. The camera hung back to reveal a massive wolf-like creature. It pulled her to its eyes, a low growl forming into speech, "Dark and blond hair. You must be her."
The creature made Ruby jump, "What the heck is that?!"
Salem tapped her chair in thought. An idea formed in her head. A sentient Grimm that can follow orders to find someone? I suppose I'd just need a core of some form…
The woman was freaking out, "What are you talking about?" She was scared that it could talk, but she had more pressing matters at hand.
"Silence! I know you are the angel! Where has your sister gone to? I shall end both your lives!"
"I don't have a sister! I don't know what you're talking about!"
"I said silence!" The wolfman roared. "I have no need to ask anything else! DIE!" The wolfman reared its arm up and threw the woman like a ragdoll.
The woman flew into a wall with a loud crack before slumping down onto the ground with her back against the wall. She groaned and tried to get up, hoping to run away. But found she couldn't move. She just looked up to the looming death before her. The wolf raised its claw up and she closed her eyes, waiting for the inevitable.
Tyrian started to giggle, "Yes! Kill her! Make it brutal!"
His outburst made many in the audience move back a bit. They knew he was crazy, but his usual weird ramblings rarely got so loud.
The wolf started a swing, only to stop when a bullet hit the ground at his foot and made him back up. He turned to the side with a snarl, "Who dares impede me?! The dark and blonde angel must die!"
The camera showed a close-up of the lower half of someone's face. "Here that? He's looking for you." It was revealed to be a woman, but they didn't recognize her voice. "Think he's interested?"
"No thanks. I'm not into guys with more hair than brains." The other voice and closeup, however, they did recognize.
"It's a Jeanne one again!" Nora shouted, continuing her personal game.
The camera returned to the wolfman, "You… must the angels!"
"No shit." The camera finally returned to a proper angle to show off the first woman. She had olivine skin and bright sea-blue hair that cascaded down her back, over her shoulders. She wore a red dress that reached just above her knees. She had a pair of red heels, gold bracelets with blue gems, and a silver necklace with a trident pendant over her chest as if to point downward to an opening in the dress to show off her cleavage. She smirked and swung her hand upward, a spinning glow in her hand, before snapping her hand down to reveal a glowing white handgun.
Eyes instantly turned to Neptune. Who, in turn, was as wide eyed as a deer in the headlights. They'd seen many of them with reversed genders, but it was surreal to see himself flipped. Then again, it wasn't the weirdest style he could have had. He's seen some of those rave outfits.
The woman next to her was dressed in a black gothic-loltia dress with white lace frills. She wore a single blue striped stocking on her right leg with a pair of black flat shoes. Her hair had an odd variation of two tone colors with an outer shell being a dark blue while the inner section was a golden blond. In her hand was a single-edge sword with blue and white stripes along its entire body, the entire form glowing faintly. She rolled her left shoulder and seemed completely uninterested in it all.
Ruby gasped, a certain kinship in fashion. But one thing on the screen got her attention. "What's going on with their weapons? They have to be custom made, but the parts and design seem weird. Not to mention the glowing."
Yang had a different thing to notice, "What's with Jeanne's hair though? How did she even do that?"
"Kind of reminds me of a cape with a separate inner fabric color." Coco offered.
Wolfman growled, "The angels! So the girl was a decoy!"
The blue haired girl seemed offended. "Seriously? We weren't exactly hiding."
Jeanne scoffed at the wolf, "You're just stupid. And you have to be blind to think she looks like me."
The wolf looked between the woman and Jeanne and back. Then it looked off in the distance as the scene behind it faded to white, showing reference pictures of the two women. Arrows and labels appeared around both showing their differences; in particular the fact that the woman seemed taller while Jeanne had a larger chest. But the wolf shook his head with a snarl, "Shut up! I won't be made a fool of!"
Yang just let out a snicker, "Too late~"
The blue haired girl laughed, "Sure buddy. Sure. So, how about you save us some time and hold still so we can put you down?"
"Like hell!" The wolf roared before charging toward the two on all fours. "DIE!"
The blue haired girl smirked and ducked to the side as Jeanne swung her blade into the wolf. The camera was blinded by a light and used as a transition scene. The new scene showed a medium-sized church with a simple form and a tower set to the side. Inside was a taller man with dark skin kneeling before an elevated altar. His hands were folded together in prayer, only for the door at the front of the church to burst open and fly back toward him. The wooden structure slammed and broke against the back of his head. He just sighed and stood before turning around to greet Jeanne and her partner.
Roman started laughing, "Damn! He didn't even flinch!"
"But who is he?" Mercury asked.
The blue haired girl stepped into the church with an annoyed huff, "All night and not even a single coin. Hey! Garter! Your info was bogus!"
Coco started to snicker, "Seriously? He's named after garterbelts?"
"It's Gardner," the priest corrected. "I've told you that enough Aqua, the least you can do is pretend you're listening when I speak."
Coco started to laugh properly, "Okay, should have seen that coming."
Aqua scoffed, "Then maybe get the info right. We fought five of those wolf things and we didn't get a single coin out of it. How are we supposed to buy back into Heaven if they don't drop shit?!" Aqua kicked a pew row hard enough to knock the bench into the wall.
Gardner just stood there and watched her tantrum before turning to Jeanne, "What crawled up her ass?"
Weiss let out a scandalized stutter, "Wh-what the heck?! Why would a priest talk like that?"
Yang wanted to say something, but the few priests she'd seen out there, from any religion in the Kingdom, all had that holy-man demeanor. They just acted way too nice sometimes. They weren't all good people, but most tended toward the kinder side of things and she just couldn't imagine any of them swearing.
Jeanne just watched on with disinterest, "I dared her to not to fuck anyone for a week."
Gardner recoiled slightly, "How the fuck did you get her to do that?"
"I promised her that if she could, I'd give her a week off from the Ghost hunts."
"And if she gives up?"
"I get bragging rights and she pays my snack bill for the follow up week." Jeanne smacked the wall and revealed a small hatch with a small slice of cake on a plate. She took the snack and started to eat using the accompanying dessert fork.
Ruby's eyes gained stars as she gasped, "That's genius!"
"RIGHT?!" Nora was instantly on the same page. "Secret panels with snacks! Genius!"
Jaune could tell he was going to get an earful from someone. Either from Nora who would want to turn their dorm into a trick room, or from Professor Goodwitch when Nora tries to do it anyway.
Gardner let out a sigh before making his way to the altar and snapping a lever down nearby. A section of the altar opened up and revealed a small canvas and projector. The screen on the altar showed the wolf man and a silhouette with an empty section in its center. "I was able to figure out something weird going on. These wolves ain't the Ghost."
Aqua turned to him, still clearly annoyed, "Huh? The hell are you talking about?"
"It's exactly what I said. They ain't real."
"Seemed real enough to toss people around." Jeanne said before taking another bite.
Ruby grumbled, "Now I want some cake…" She had forgotten how the theater worked, so was surprised when a slice of cake appeared. It was a vanilla cake with chocolate icing and a strawberry on the top. "All right!" She took a bite and instantly let out a happy noise.
"Not that kind of not real." Gardner snapped the pictures to show the wolf being killed by Aqua the night before. A series of circles and arrows showing moments of death and a sparkling coin at the center. It was blue with a halo in the middle. Then he held up another coin, this one having a pink base, golden border, and pair of white wings. "As you can see, the coin you could find in there ain't real. It disappears almost as soon as it appears." A new picture shows the two coins beside one another. "It's likely that these counterfeits are being created to make these fake Ghosts."
"Why the fuck would they do that?" Aqua groaned. "Why can't they just come out and let us get this over with already?!"
Gardner shook his head, "If you got a problem with it, go find them yourselves and make your piece." A small dog-like plush… thing walked in holding a rolled up parchment, holding it up to Gardner, who snapped it open and smacked it against the screen. A series of Xs were written all over the paper with a red circle around the southern area. "We found out that the base is somewhere in the south based on the patterns of the wolf attacks. If you get moving now, you can knock this one out and get a good night's sleep tonight."
Aqua groaned, "I've been up for three days dealing with this shit. I think I deserve a nap now."
"You plan to let them prepare for you and / or move?"
Aqua let out an annoyed groan and slumped back. "Fine!"
Jeanne popped her fork from her mouth and pointed it at her sister, "You need to get laid."
Qrow started to crack up the moment she said that. "She sets her up just for that line. She had to have!"
Aqua turned to glare at Jeanne, who just ignored her like nothing was wrong.
Gardner just shook his head. "Look! You both need to focus! Now, you can either deal with this now, or risk it getting worse for you both."
"Fine!" Aqua sighed and spun on her heel to leave. "Come on, bitch! We've got work to do!"
Jeanne finished her cake and placed it back in the compartment and followed behind her sister, "You seem tired. You find some new boy toy?" Aqua stopped and turned her head slowly to face Jeanne before the goth just walked past her.
Blake just tapped her heel on the floor with her arms crossed, "I don't get why she's going that far. I understand the betting part, but it seems too… petty."
Her team turned to her, each one having a look that just screamed, 'you're an only child, you wouldn't get it.'
As the two left the church, Gardner just let out a groan before walking to the side of the scene, "I need a drink."
Outside, the two angel sisters were walking up to a bright pink, open top jeep. Jeanne took the passenger seat as Aqua hopped up to the driver's seat.
"Hold on." Ruby looked around the scene for a moment before she continued, "Where are their weapons?"
"What do you mean?" Nora asked, confused.
"I thought they just left the weapons outside before. You know, because it's a church. But they aren't in the car either."
Coco took a look over the scene and noticed something else, too. "Oh yeah. And Jeanne's got both stockings now. Did they stop somewhere? Like a base or safehouse?"
Aqua peeled out from the resting position and boosted down the road like a blur. She weaved through the roads and any traffic like she was going to die if she slowed down even a single mile per hour. Jeanne just seemed nonchalant, like this was perfectly normal. After a moment, the scene changed to show the old warehouse area as the jeep slammed down to parallel park between two normal-looking vehicles. A camera cut suddenly showed the two standing, looking up at the massive door of a warehouse.
Harriet held her head and groaned, "What is even happening?"
Aqua smirked slightly as she addressed her sister, "So, which one do you think it'll be?"
Jeanne shrugged, "There's too many to say."
"So I guess we split up and search for it?"
"Just make sure you stay out of guys' pants, and I'll let you know if I find anything." Jeanne walked off before sprinting to find the warehouse they needed. The camera decided to follow after her as she ran, a ranting Aqua in the background. As she ran, a shadow hung over the street. As the shadow leapt up, a creature slammed down onto the street in front of Jeanne.
It was another wolfman, with different fur and scars. He was smiling with a mad grin. "Time to die, angel!" He was interrupted almost immediately by Jeanne's foot slamming into his face and knocking him down. She ran a few feet further before turning around to face him.
The moment got the good humored to laugh at the wolfman's failure to be intimidating.
The wolf growled and wiped blood away from a bloody nose. "I'll admit, that was impressive. A warrior's instincts run through you to be able to stay so calm."
Jeanne just stood there, silent.
This caused the wolf to laugh. "Excellent. I was looking forward to facing a warrior of your caliber."
"Hey!"
The wolf was caught off guard by Jeanne's shout, "Huh?"
"Are you the one in charge of all the wolves we've had to fight?"
He blinked before shrugging, "No. I am but a soldier in my leader's service."
"Then where is he?"
"Why would I tell you that?"
The camera zoomed slowly on Jeanne's face before a hard cut showed the wolf getting stomped onto the ground, her heel digging down onto his sternum. "Where is your leader?"
Yang let out a cheer of excitement, "Woo! Let's go!"
The wolf was quiet, his eyes glancing lightly to the side.
Weiss and Ruby blinked, turned to one another, before hitting the retaliation at the same time.
The wolf then had to open his mouth and say, "Those are some daring panties for the goth look."
Jeanne paused, the camera showing the wolf under her heel and looking up her dress.
This actually caused Mercury to bust up laughing. "She had to know that was going to happen. Seriously, that's not a 'I'm wearing a dress' stance."
Jeanne just rolled her eyes before slamming her heel down harder, "I asked you a question."
Winter just dragged her hand over her face, "I suppose she just has no shame."
A sentiment that made Jaune sink a bit, given it's his counterpart.
The wolf let out a yelp before groaning, "Warehouse seven. But know that you will die if you go there."
Jeanne then ignored him and pulled a phone from her dress. "Aqua. Warehouse Seven. I'm at…" she glanced to the side, "... five. Get over here." She hung up and ran off, leaving a confused wolfman.
Jeanne found number seven and opened the door with a quick push and ran inside.
Ironwood shook his head, "That was a poor idea."
A spotlight found Jeanne and blinded her. As she held a hand up to avoid the light, she heard the sound of someone clapping.
"I was wondering when I would get to meet you." The figure before her was a ghost in the shape of a woman with a red blazer, dark shirt and pants, and red flats. She chuckled as she finished one last, loud clap. "I had hoped I could leave this for another time, but here we are."
"So, you're the ghost, huh?" Jeanne started to get used to the light and looked toward the woman. The camera fell to her right slipper as her heel wriggled out from the back.
Neptune raised an eyebrow, "What is she planning?"
Yang clapped once, "She's gonna throw her shoe."
"Seriously?"
"Trust me."
As the woman laughed, she felt the need to gloat. "I always hated you angels. You trounce around like you own the whole damn city! That blue haired bimbo alone has probably slept with half the men in the city!"
Neptune felt second-hand shame coming from this woman.
As the ghost ranted, she pointed toward Jeanne, "And you! You just eat sweets all the damn day! Yet you never gain a single pound! I heard your crack to the bimbo! Saying the fat goes to your boobs?! That's so dumb, but none of it goes to your waist!"
Those who care about image and / or have slower metabolisms just felt this feeling of annoyance. A kind of fuck that bitch mentality. Even if it only lasted for a moment.
Nora just snickered, drawing attention.
Jaune turned to her to ask, "What's so funny?"
Ren just sighed and shook his head, "Before Beacon, I had attempted to tell Nora that eating too many pancakes would cause her to gain weight. She told me, and I quote, 'It's okay. It'll all go my chest anyway.'"
Nora busted up laughing at the memory and it playing out on screen in a way.
The woman laughed out loud before continuing, "And now! I'll finally get to put you down-!" She was interrupted by a shoe slamming into her face. "Ah! My eye! It hit my eye!"
Yang smirked in that she was right, but still cringed in sympathy for being hit in the eye.
The woman roared as she picked up the shoe and threw it back at Jeanne, but she just caught it and put it back on her foot. The woman let out a sigh and shook her head. "Whatever! I'll just kill you now!" She was instantly interrupted again as the wolf from the street flew into her.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." Aqua walked in and cracked her neck. "What did I miss?"
Jeanne shrugged, "Nothing important."
The ghost roared and pushed the wolf off her. "I am a hundred and ten percent done!" The ghost's body enlarged and changed into a massive wolf woman, easily twice the size of her subordinates. "DIE!"
"Okay, that explains the wolf thing." Blake shivered. They were humanoid enough to avoid being spooked. On some level, they just reminded her of Beowolves.
"Be really helpful if they had their weapons." Coco was waiting to see how they'd handle this.
Aqua smirked and cracked her knuckles, "Shall we?"
Jeanne gave a dismissive sigh, "Let's get this over with."
Aqua pointed up to the sky before swinging her hand around and creating a ring of light. She let her hand fall downward as the ring flew over her. As the ring passed by quickly, she was suddenly wearing a Greek / Roman style top and skirt with high heel sandals with wrappings up just under her knees. Her clothes were a heavenly with with aqua blue accents.
Jeanne, meanwhile, had gone through a similar transformation. She now wore a white and gold style of her usual garb, losing the sleeves, adding a corset and long gloves, and replacing her slippers with high heels.
Winter almost had a conniption, "What on Remnant just happened?"
Knox then started laughing. "You ain't seen nothin' yet."
Aqua licked her lips, kneeling for a moment as her hand dragged down her side. The camera caught the moment she started to pull down a certain article of clothing, in a very suggestive way.
Whitely instantly had his eyes covered by his older sister. "Winter! What the heck are you doing!"
Winter was quiet and red in the face, deliberately not looking at the screen.
Jeanne, meanwhile, started to drag down one of her stockings and pulled it over her foot.
The ghost started to freak out, "W-w-what the hell are you doing?!"
"You know," Aqua stood up normally again, her panties swinging on her finger, "for someone who claimed to hate us so much, you don't know shit." Her underwear started to glow before spinning faster, like it had gained weight. Then it snapped into position to reveal the glowing handgun. The camera hanging on the front to reveal the barrel actually resembled a pair of panties with the iron sight looking like a small ribbon at the top.
The room was quiet for a moment before a low laugh started to form. Then, Qrow bust a gut in laughter at everyone's faces, something he made clear each time.
Jeanne slammed her other hand onto the stocking and pulled it into place like unsheathing a blade. Her stocking formed into the blade from the beginning before she entered her combat stance.
The wolf roared before charging at them both. Aqua dropped her stance with her gun up and fired a round at the ghost. The bullet bounced off her skin, but did knock her off balance. Jeanne leapt up and slashed at her, but to similar effect. The woman smacked Jeanne off toward Aqua. The two landed in a provocative position, eliciting a reaction from the wolf man as he regained consciousness.
Jaune looked downward in embarrassment, not exactly the type to handle provocative things too well as of now. A reaction that his girlfriends noticed and ractionalized after knowing him. Or being told, as is the case of Ilia.
Aqua punched her sister off her and stood up properly again. "So, what now?"
Jeanne dusted herself off and smacked her blue haired sister upside the head. "She's tough, but nothing special. We just need to bust through her defenses."
The two glanced at each other before nodding. The two moved together, like a practiced routine. It reminded some of a routine at a strip show, but ended with what clothing they had still on and in battle positions. Once in place, they both shouted, "Repent motherfucker!" Aqua fired a bullet that was followed by a running Jeanne. As the bullet flew, a heavenly light swirled off its body before seemingly growing a pair of feathered wings. Jeanne, meanwhile, followed the path and leapt up and jumped past the bullet and knocked the ghost off balance with her blade. Then, the bullet slammed into the ghost and tried to dig into her flesh like a drill. Jeanne then landed on the ground in front of the ghost with her blade turned around. She slammed the hilt of the blade into the bullet and finally hit that sweet spot of strength to blow into the ghost and out her back. After a pause, the ghost exploded as three Heaven Coins flew up from what was left.
"That was fucking awesome!" Yang cheered.
"So cool! They were like, 'wo, bam!'" Ruby was excitedly jumping in her seat at how amazing the ending was to her.
As Jeanne picked up the coins, she looked to the side to see Aqua stomping off. "Where are you going?"
"To get fucking laid. You win the bet. I need something." As she passed by the door, a security officer from the area looked in to see what happened, only to have Aqua grab him by his tie and drag him off. As the screen ended its run.
Yang started to chuckle, "That was fast."
Knox hopped down from his perch. "I love that one~ And aren't you glad I got it out of the way~"
Yang's cheer faded, "Why?"
"Oh, not you." He pointed to Jaune, "You."
The blond knight was suddenly quite concerned. "I have a bad feeling about this."
