For a moment, neither of them spoke. Lucy gave him a confused side-eye. Cobra resisted the urge to shake his head.
"Um…do you mean as in the bonds between people? Or is it some other kind of bond…" Lucy replied
"Ah, my apologies. That was rather vague of me. Allow me to elaborate.
"You are correct. By 'bonds' I mean the connection made by two or more people. Something that ties them together–for good or ill. I do not want to exclude negative connections as I am well aware of how strong those can be. Essentially, what kind of relationship is the most likely to hold firm despite the circumstances."
"That's…a rather deep question," Lucy concluded, hand on her chin. "And you want us to give you an answer to it?"
"Not an answer or the answer. Your answer." Cobra could almost see the smile on the man's face. "I am not here to judge, but to observe. Please don't hold back on what you believe on the matter."
