"…Speaking of strange minds, didn't you think that second person was a little…off?" He watched Lucy turn her head in thought at this.

"The second person? You mean the guy who just asked us a question? I suppose it wasn't that normal…but who can say what's normal and not at a place like that?"

"No, something was definitely off about him." Cobra kicked a stone on the ground as he continued. "It's like his soul went dead when you asked him to reply to his own question. Something was missing from him, something he either doesn't have or thinks he doesn't have."

"Ooo, that was good! Maybe you should be the Doctor and I the Assistant next time."

"Har har. Anyways, a more pressing issue would have to be the fact that he clearly mentioned the owner of this place as a 'she'. Why would he know that? Or that there's someone above us in the first place. Maybe he was just guessing, but given all the other weirdness around him…"

Lucy paused at this. "You're right…I didn't think about it in the moment. It all seemed so natural." She put a hand to her chin and squinted one eye. "I'll see if I can bring it up with Mira…"

She bit her lip at that. Did the idea of asking Mira face to face made her…nervous?
