Alex: You do know this episode is about an actual holiday in Japan right?

Gastly: Chapter 11-The Ghost of Maiden's Peak
The ferry is approaching the town of Maiden's Peak
"We're almost there guys." Ash says excitedly
"The pamphlet says we've arrived just in time to celebrate the Maiden's Festival." Alex says
"What's that?" Ash asks curiously
"It's an annual festival the town holds in honour of the ghost of Maiden's Peak and other spirits." Alex reads off the pamphlet
"That sounds interesting." Misty says
"It doesn't matter..." Brock mumbles depressed. Everyone glances over at him confused, "I wouldn't care if we never left this ferry..."
"What are you talking about Brock? You're the one who bought us tickets to come here?" Ash asks confused
"It's been half a month since I left home and I still haven't found a girlfriend!" Brock slumps over depressed, "I'll never find love..."
Ash, Alex, Misty and Pikachu stare at him
"But Brock, Misty's a girl." Ash says obliviously causing Misty to hit him
"Aah!" Ash is knocked forward and falls overboard
Pikapi!
"Cheer up Brock. Look the pamphlet says that there's an all day carnival full of games." Alex shows him the pamphlet
"Ooh they have a ferris wheel!" Misty says excitedly, "You want to ride that with me Oddish?"
Oddish Odd
Brock sighs, "I'll have to ride the ferris wheel all alone..."
Ash and Bulbasaur pull back up onto the deck
"Thanks Bulbasaur."
Team Rocket are still following along in their Gyarados sub
"They're pulling into a stop." Meowth says
The Pokegang depart the ferry. Ash, Alex, Misty, Pikachu and Oddish look at the festival excitedly while Brock just looks around depressed. It seems every direction he looks there are couples in front of him. His eyes fall upon a woman standing by herself staring out at the water. There is something alluring about her.
(Who's that?)
The woman glances at him. Brock's eyes widen
"What a knockout!" And then he's trampled by the crowd
"Brock!" His friends yell and help him up. When Brock looks back he notices the mysterious woman is gone
"She's gone..."
Ash and Misty suddenly grab Brock and drag him away
"Come on Brock let's have fun!" Misty yells
Team Rocket exit their submarine once it's safe
"It's a festival Jessie." James says surprised
"You know what that means. People will be so distracted by all the activities that they won't pay attention to any money they drop." Jessie says
"Meowth want a cotton candy!" Meowth shouts excitedly
James rubs his hands together, "Money is sweeter."
He then notices the same alluring woman that Brock saw. His eyes widen
"Sweet!" James yells and then Jessie hits him, "Oww!"
"Come on James let's get to work!" Jessie yells annoyed. James glances back and sees that the woman is gone
Everyone but Brock is having fun at the festival. He just follows along gloomily
"She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen..."
"You say that about every woman Brock." Alex says
"I mean it this time. There was just something about her. I can't get her out of my mind." Brock replies softly
"Brock are you sure you didn't just imagine this girl?" Misty asks concerned
"She was real!" Brock yells, "You didn't feel the chemistry between us! That can't be faked!"
"You saw her once. Ten minutes ago." Alex replies irritated
"And now I'll never see her again..." Brock slumps over
"Excuse me young man." They hear a voice behind Brock. Brock's eyes widen and he turns around happily, "It's you!"
Only to spot an ugly old woman. Brock screams and falls to the ground, "You're not beautiful!"
"Brock!" Misty yells horrified. Alex is visibly struggling to retain his laughter. Ash meanwhile has wandered off to buy some cotton candy. The ugly old woman pulls out a magnifying glass and closely inspects Brock
"Beware not of an old beauty like me but of a beautiful young woman. Or you'll meet a cruel fate." The old woman says
"Ah that girl at the port. I have to meet her." Brock says
Misty places her hands against her cheeks to pose, "Oh I must be the beautiful girl she's talking about. But I would never hurt Brock."
"I was talking about an elegant young woman not a scrawny brat like you!" The old woman yells
"Scrawny?" Misty's face turns red in rage
"Real scrawny." Alex chuckles causing Misty to hit him with his own baseball bat. Alex falls to the ground next to Brock
"That's it! I don't have to stand around here being insulted!" She grabs her friends by their collars and drags them away
(The beautiful woman. The cruelest fate would be to never see her again.)
Ash and Pikachu come back with some cotton candy for everyone
"Hey where did they go?"
Pikachu?
Team Rocket is crawling around the festival searching for any dropped change.
"There's no money anywhere!" Jessie yells out in frustration
"What kind of cheap festival is this? We have to keep looking till we find something!" Meowth yells
James spots a coin nearby
"I found one!" He quickly rushes over and grabs it
"Hold it right there!" He hears an old woman yell at him
He turns towards her and smiles nervously, "I dropped this"
"I've been watching you. You're up to no good." The ugly old woman says causing James to gasp. The old woman pulls out her magnifying glass and holds it up to James' face
"And there's no good in your future."
"Who is it? The International Police? The Sheriff? The G-Men?" James asks
"I see a young and beautiful woman who will lead you to a poor fate."
"I don't need a fortune teller to tell me that. Some woman is always causing me trouble it's a curse." James sighs
Jessie who has been eavesdropping on the conversation butts in angrily, "Who do you mean?"
"Good afternoon." They hear an Officer Jenny's voice. Team Rocket look up frightened
"I'm with the local police department and I know exactly what you're all doing." Jenny says with a big smile on her face. Team Rocket are preparing to make a run for it when Jenny leans in close to James
"I see you found some change that someone dropped. Whenever money is lost no matter how little it must be reported to the authorities." James just drops the coin into Jenny's hand
"Thank you for being such an observant citizen. Now if you'll just follow me to the station we can file a report-"
Team Rocket suddenly bolt, "There's no need for that! Happy to help!" They yell
"Such good people."
A small crowd of people including the Pokegang and the TRio have gathered outside a shrine on a cliff. The peak behind the shrine has a statue of a young woman on it, staring out at the sea.
"In honour of the Maiden's Festival we will now display the shrine of the Maiden's greatest treasure." The old man making the announcement gestures to the covered painting.
"For 2 000 years this painting has hung within the shrine of the Maiden. Every year during the festival it is removed from the shrine and displayed once to all those attending the festival. As I unveil the painting please gaze with reverence."
Alex rolls his eyes, "It can't be that good." He mumbles
The old man pulls the covering off revealing a painting of a young woman staring ahead tearfully with her hands clasped together. Everyone in the crowd, except Ash, gasp in amazement
"I don't get it." Ash mumbles
"It's beautiful." Alex says mesmerized
Brock and James stare at the painting stunned
(It's her) James thinks stunned
(But how could it be?) Brock wonders
The two start stumbling towards the painting in a trance
"Brock what are you doing?" Misty asks
"James come back here." Jessie yells softly
"She's so incredibly beautiful." Brock says in a daze
"She's the girl of my dreams don't wake me up." James says also in a daze
The two move to touch the painting when the old man suddenly shoves them back
"Stay back! None shall touch the painting!" He yells
Meowth starts thinking of a plan
"The woman in this painting has been dead for 2 000 years." The old man tells the two lovestruck fools
"2 000?" Brock asks
"She was in love with a brave and handsome young man, but he left her and sailed away to fight in a war. The Maiden promised to wait for him to return to her but sadly he never did. The Maiden however never gave up hope of seeing her lost love once again and eventually her body became one with the peak on which she stood waiting."
Misty starts tearing up, "That's so romantic."
Ash and Alex just stare at her
"Till this day she still waits for her love to return, and our town was named Maiden's Peak in honour of her." The old man finishes his story
"Just tell me where's this peak?" Brock asks
"Right behind the shrine. The shrine was built close to Maiden's Rock as a way to honour-"
Brock and James have already run off. The old man shakes his head frustrated, "The youth have no patience."
The two lovestruck fools are staring at Maiden's Rock. Ash, Alex, Misty, Pikachu and Oddish are standing behind Brock while Jessie and Meowth are standing behind James
"She's the most beautiful rock I've ever seen." Brock says dreamily
"Considering your dad sold rocks I don't doubt it." Alex says
"I don't care if she's made of stone! I'm still in love with her!" James yells and tries to rush towards the statue. Jessie is struggling to hold him back
"If she was my girlfriend I'd make sure she was never out of my sight." Brock says
"I don't know how much she'd appreciate that." Misty says
"No one would ever steal her from me! Not even Team Rocket!" James leans over the railing protecting people from falling off the cliff, "I'll fight them to keep her safe!"
"Get ahold of yourself James! Why would we steal a thing like that?" Jessie asks annoyed
"We could swipe da painting." Meowth says, "I bet it's rather valuable."
Jessie lets go of James and smacks her hands together, "We'd be rich!"
"Jessie! Jessie!" They hear James yell and Jessie's eyes widen. They turn and see James desperately clinging to the railing
"Before you grab it grab onto me!" James yells
It's nighttime. Brock has been sitting in the same spot for hours just staring at Maiden's Rock
"Brock are you ever gonna leave that thing alone?" Ash asks
"Come on it's getting late. We need to check in to the Pokemon Centre." Misty moans
"You guys go on without me. I just want to stay here a little longer." Brock says without even looking at them
"If you're sure..." Alex says uncertain
"I'll be fine."
"Alright." The group leave Brock alone
On the other side of the shrine Team Rocket have set up sleeping bags hanging from the trees for the night
"Alright we'll take a nap until around midnight. By that point there should be no one guarding the shrine. We sneak in we swipe the painting and we're gone before morning." Meowth lays out the plan
"Right. This will be our easiest job ever." Jessie laughs. James however is in a daze
"Jimmy focus!" Meowth scratches James' across the face
"Ouch! I am focused. Sleep midnight painting gone before morning see." James replies
"Good. Well goodnight everyone." Meowth says and they climb into their sleeping bags. James however continues to stare in the direction of Maiden's Rock
Ash, Alex and Misty have been waiting in the Centre's lobby for Brock. It's gotten so late that basically everyone else has already gone to sleep, including their own Pokemon
"That's it. I'm going out there." Ash says and makes a run for the door when Nurse Joy suddenly grabs him
"Absolutely not! Do you know what time it is young man?" Nurse Joy asks him
"But my friend's out there and-"
"You need your rest. Staying up late is bad for your health. Off to bed all three of you!" She yells at them and sends them running to their rooms
"I hope Brock will be alright." Misty says worried
"I'm sure he's fine. He probably just fell asleep staring at the stupid statue." Alex replies annoyed
Brock is wide awake and has still not moved from his spot. He notices something strange happening at Maiden's Rock
"Hmm?" He leans closer. A ghost emerges from the rock. It's a transparent version of the woman he saw on the docks
"I've been waiting for you." The ghost says
"It's you." Brock says lovestruck. The Ghost of the Maiden gestures for Brock to follow her and Brock starts floating.
Team Rocket are fast asleep outside of the shrine. Meowth's alarm clock suddenly goes off and he opens his eyes
"It's time." He looks around and sees the rest of his team is still fast asleep
"Hey wake up you two!" He yells
The shrine doors suddenly burst open and the Ghost of the Maiden exits from them
"Huh?" Meowth shouts in shock. The Ghost looks over at him. Meowth's eyes suddenly glow red and he falls back to sleep. The Ghost floats over to James
"My love. I'm waiting for you."
James slowly wakes up, "Is it time to steal the painting?"
He notices the ghost, "It's you."
Early the next morning Ash, Alex, Misty and Pikachu have headed back to Maiden's Rock to try and find Brock
"Brock! Brock where are you!" Misty yells
On the other side of the shrine Jessie and Meowth are looking for James
"James! James! If you're not here at least say so!" Jessie yells
The two groups start walking around the shrine
"Brock!"
"James!"
"Brock!"
"James!"
They eventually come across each other in front of the shrine doors
"You!" Ash yells in shock
"I've finally found you!" Jessie yells triumphantly, then her face falls, "Wait you're not who I was looking for."
"Did you guys lose someone too?" Ash asks
Jessie clears her throat
Jessie: Prepare for trouble!
Jessie(deep voice): And make it double!
"Doing this by myself is a real drag."
Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!
Jessie(deep voice): To unite all peoples within our nation!
Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
James' voice(dazed): To extend our reach to the stars above!
Jessie looks around confused
Jessie: Jessie?
James' voice(dazed): James!
Everyone looks around confused. Jessie cups her hands to her mouth to make her voice louder
Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!
James' voice(dazed): Surrender now-
James suddenly bursts through the doors
James(dazed): Or prepare to fight!
He lands on the ground clearly out of it. His eyes are all wonky and he has a stupid grin on his face. Brock falls out next in the exact same state
"He looks awful!" Jessie yells
"Worse than usual." Meowth says
"Brock are you ok?" Ash asks concerned
However Brock and James just ignore them and start giggling like fools
"What's wrong with them?" Misty asks terrified
"I'm afraid it's the curse of the Maiden." The ugly old woman suddenly appears from out of nowhere
"Curse?" Alex asks confused
"Yes. Every year during The Maiden's Festival some unlucky young man attracts the attention of the Ghost of Maiden's Peak. She puts him under her spell and drains his lifeforce, all in an attempt to replace the love she lost." The ugly old woman says
"I love her!" James yells
"Me too me too me too." Brock replies
"They're possessed!" Alex yells, "Pikachu Thunderbolt them now!"
"Wait Pikachu don't-" Ash tries to stop Pikachu who however is very excited to shock some people
Pikachuuuuuuu!
"Aaaah!" Brock and James scream. They both then look around confused
"Who am I? I am Brock." Brock says
"I'm James. From Team Rocket!" James suddenly strikes a pose
"There everything's better." Alex replies
"I'm afraid not young man. For the Maiden has claimed these two, and she will return tonight." The ugly old woman says
"She will?" Brock asks happily
"Yes. When she is finished she will carry their souls into the afterlife."
"I don't want to go into the afterlife!" James shouts terrified, Brock however has different ideas
"Who cares as long as I can be with her."
Misty groans
"He's still not cured" Ash says worried
"So how can we stop this ghost?" Meowth asks
The ugly old lady suddenly sticks two paper talismans onto Brock and James.
"These are ofuda, also known as anti-ghost stickers. Stick these all over these two as well as the building and it will protect you from the ghost." The ugly old woman says
"Oh thank goodness." Alex says
"There is however one catch."
"What is it?" Ash asks
"I can't just give these away for free." The ugly old woman says
"You can't be serious." Misty says annoyed, "You expect us to pay for stickers?"
"Why are you arguing? Pay the woman." Alex says terrified
Alex, Ash, Jessie, Meowth, Misty and Pikachu are busy putting ofuda all over the shrine while Brock and James, who are covered head to toe in stickers, watch
"There now we'll be safe." Alex says
"Is Alex superstitious?" Misty whispers to Ash
"Whenever he spills salt he always throws a pinch over his shoulder. You can draw conclusions." Ash whispers back
"Are you sure the anti-ghost stickers will work?" James asks Meowth who responds by placing an ofuda over his mouth
That night the Pokegang and TRio are staking out the shrine. Brock and James are sitting out in the open while everyone else is hiding
"It's rather late. Maybe she's not coming?" Ash whispers
"Or maybe the ofuda scared her away." Jessie whispers back
The winds suddenly pick up and a strong gust blows the doors wide open. The ofuda covering the shrine and Brock are blown away. James somehow is completely unaffected
"Aah she's here!" James yells terrified
"Finally." Brock says lovestruck
The Ghost materializes right before their eyes
"My love I've been waiting for you."
"Yes and I you." Brock replies still lovestruck
The Ghost starts floating away. Brock and James are lifted into the air
"No!" James screams and grabs onto something. Brock however happily allows himself to be carried away
"Brock!" Ash yells and him, Alex, Misty and Pikachu chase after Brock
"Help! Help!" James screams terrified. Jessie and Meowth grab onto him
"Why aren't the stickers working?" James asks them terrified
"Maybe it's because...we got them for free." Meowth admits
"Free?" James asks confused
"It was a two-for-one special." Jessie says, "One free sticker for everyone they bought. It was a real bargain"
James stares at them betrayed, "I can't believe you'll let that ghost get me just because you're both so cheap!"
"You mean you don't want to go?" Jessie asks
"Of course I don't want to go!" James yells before he is suddenly yanked away by an invisible force, "I don't want to go!"
"James!" Jessie and Meowth yell
The Ghost floats towards Maiden's Rock. Brock and James float after her. Ash, Misty, Alex and Pikachu grab Brock
"Hey let me go!" Brock yells
"You're an idiot Brock." Alex mutters as they yank him back to the ground. Poor James floats past them crying. Suddenly a Poison Sting hits the Ghost causing her to drop James
"Aaah!" He manages to grab onto the railing and pulls himself back up
Ekannns
"You can't take him!" Jessie yells at the Ghost
"That's right!" Meowth yells, "Only we get to make James miserable!"
"I've been waiting for 2 000 years. You cannot interfere." The Ghost says and suddenly summons a bunch of flying skulls which encircle the group
"What is that!" Misty shouts
Ash tries to scan them with his pokedex
No Pokemon detected
"They're not Pokemon!" Ash shouts frightened
"I think we're in trouble!" Jessie yells
The skulls suddenly start laughing and rush at them. Everyone screams. Misty grabs onto Ash terrified. He accidentally points his Pokedex at the Ghost of the Maiden
Gastly the Gas Pokemon. A Gas/Poison type.
"Huh?"
Gastly is largely composed of gaseous matter. When exposed to a strong wind, the gaseous body quickly dwindles away. Groups of this Pokémon cluster under the eaves of houses to escape the ravages of wind. Gastly evolves into Haunter. This Gastly is Male
"So you're a Pokemon!" Ash shouts at the Maiden
The skulls start circling around the Maiden
"So you figured it out. Sometimes I'm the Ghost of the 2 000 year old Maiden," The Maiden transforms into the ugly old woman, "And sometimes I'm the mysterious old woman. But no matter what form I take. I'll always be..."
The ugly old woman transforms into a purple blur and envelops the skulls. It dashes to the front of the shrine and forms into a ball of gas
"Gastly."
Brock stares at Gastly heartbroken, "She was a Pokemon all along!"
Brock slumps over. Ash turns his cap around
"Well Gastly if you're a Pokemon that means I can catch you! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachuuuu!
Pikachu fires the Thunderbolt at Gastly who easily phases through it
"Huh!" Ash yells shocked
"You'll find that I won't be easy prey." Gastly grins and dashes towards Pikachu, "I have the perfect thing to deal with your rodent!"
Gastly transforms into a mouse trap and tries to clamp down on Pikachu
Kaaa!
Pikachu runs off terrified
"Taste my Fury Swipes!" Meowth leaps at Gastly and tries to scratch Gastly. He however falls right through the Ghost
"You want to play games Meowth? Well then how about this toy!" A ball suddenly appears in front of Meowth who immediately starts playing with it
"Ekans go!" Jessie yells and Ekans rushes towards Gastly
"A snake huh? I know how to deal with you." Gastly transforms into a giant Gumshoos,"Dinner time!"
Ekans faints
"Your turn James!" Jessie yells. James tosses his pokeball
"Koffing use Smokescreen!" James yells
Koff-
The giant Gumshoos suddenly stomps on Koffing, "Smoking is bad for your lungs."
"Alright leave this to me. Go Hypno!" Alex tosses his pokeball
Hypno Hypno
"Ha a Psychic type. However will I deal with this?" Gastly ponders
"Hypno use Hypnosis!" Alex yells. Hypno starts waving it's pendulum back and forth. Gastly suddenly transforms into a mirror
Hypno Hypno Hyp...no...
Hypno falls asleep
"Oh come on!" Alex groans
"Charmander Bulbasaur Squirtle go!" Ash yells
Charmander!
Bulbasaur!
Squirtle!
"Flamethrower!" Ash yells and Charmander fires it's Flamethrower at Gastly who dodges
"Someone ought to put you out!" Gastly transforms into a fire extinguisher and sprays towards Charmander
Char!
Ash returns Charmander, "Bulbasaur Squirtle it's up to you!"
Bulbasaur and Squirtle prepare to attack Gastly
"Ha what a nuisance. This will be easy!" Gastly suddenly transforms into Venusaur and Blastoise
"Meet your evolved forms." They hear Gastly's voice coming from both Pokemon. Squirtle and Bulbasaur stare at them terrified ,"And for some extra terror let's play God shall we?"
Venusaur suddenly stands up on two legs and it and Blastoise start doing the Fusion dance
"I swear I've seen that before." Alex says confused
"I'll combine these two into a whole new Pokemon!" A light shines around the two and they merge into one Pokemon, "Venustoise!"
Venustoise!
Bulbasaur and Squirtle retreat back to their Pokeballs
"I'm out of ideas." Ash admits
Brock stands up, "Let me try. Go Onix!"
Rarrrrr!
Gastly transforms back to normal, "You think I'm scared of an oversized rock snake? I know exactly how to deal with you!"
Gastly transforms into a rain cloud above Onix's head. Onix roars in pain
"Onix no!" Brock yells
Gastly transforms back to normal, "You know I have to admit this is the most fun I've had in years. Usually it's just a few ghosts and skeletons and people run off terrified but this time I've been allowed to really utilize my transformations. For that I thank you."
"Uh you're welcome?" Ash asks confused
"However I'm afraid our time together must come to an end, because you see it's not me. It's you."
Brock slumps over again, "Rejected even by Gastly!"
"Snap out of it Brock!" Alex yells at him
Misty suddenly steps in between Gastly and everyone else. She points a holy symbol made out of wood at Gastly, "Try this!"
"What is that supposed to be?" Gastly asks confused
"Uh Misty why do you have a symbol of Arceus?" Alex asks confused
"I picked it up at a gift shop. I also got garlic, a stake and a hammer."
Gastly just stares at her dumbfounded ,"What do I look like? A vampire?"
Gastly notices the sun has started to rise. He suddenly clenches his eyes shut and grunts in pain, "I may not be a vampire but I hate sunlight!"
He starts fading away, "Don't forget the legend of the Maiden! Her and the old woman will return at next year's festival tooooooo!"
And Gastly disappears. Everyone just takes a few minutes to process what happened
"That was real right? We didn't all just have the exact same hallucination?" Alex asks
"No that was most definitely real." Jessie says
The people of Maiden's Peak are releasing small boats with lit candles on them out into the ocean. The Pokegang and Team Rocket have joined them
"On the last day of the festival everyone sends these out to help any wandering spirits find their way back home." Officer Jenny explains to Brock and the others
Gastly is floating above one of the boats. He looks up at Maiden's Rock where the real Ghost of the Maiden is watching him
"Thank you Gastly." The Ghost tells him
"My pleasure my lady. I enjoy keeping the old legends alive and occasionally I make a quick buck doing so." Some poke dollars appear in front of him
"I'll see you again next festival. I'll be here waiting until that day my true love returns to me, at last." The Maiden looks out into the ocean
"I will continue to search for him my lady. I'll pay a visit to my cousin Dusknoir, he likes to play on that side of the world." Gastly tells her
"Thank you, and goodbye." The Maiden's spirit returns to the rock. Gastly stares up at her one last time before disappearing
The last few hours of the festival are being celebrated with a traditional dance. Everyone has dressed up in kimonos. Team Rocket are on the roof playing the drums. Alex is sitting next to them
"You know when you guys aren't trying to steal our Pokemon, you're not all that bad." Alex admits
"Thanks. And you're not too bad either." James says
"Hey how'd you like to join Team Rocket?" Meowth asks
"Hey let's not go that far." Alex raises his hands
"You did steal that Hypno. You'd fit right in." Jessie says causing Alex to hang his head in shame
Ash is leaning against a fence with Pikachu next to him. He is scrolling through Dex entries on Gastly
"I don't get it Pikachu. Nothing says anything about Gastly being able to do all those things." Ash says
Pika Pika Pi Chu
"I guess you've got a point. Pokemon are mysterious." Ash says
"Sorry I'm late." They hear Misty's voice. Ash turns towards her. He stares at her stunned. Misty is wearing a pink kimono and she has let her hair down for a change. Oddish is following along behind her
"Is something wrong Ash?" Misty asks
"Uh..." Ash is too stunned to say anything, Pikachu smacks his arm, "No nothing's wrong."
"Oh good. Then let's dance." Misty says
"Sure!"
Ash and Misty go join the dance. Pikachu hops down from the fence and starts dancing with Oddish

Pikachu!
Alex notices Brock slipping away from the festival. He climbs down from the roof and follows him. Brock stops near a tree and stares at the statue of the Maiden in the distance
"If only you were 2 000 years younger." Brock says sadly. He then jumps in fright when Alex places his hand on his shoulder, "You really are sneaky!"
"Hee-hee sorry." Alex grins, "Come on cheer up Brock. There are plenty more Magikarp in the sea."
"But none will ever compare to her."
"Hey I heard Officer Jenny was asking about you."
Brock's eyes widen, "She was? Thanks for the pep talk Alex see ya!" Brock runs off.
Alex shakes his head. He stares out at the ocean, "I hope you've found your way dad."
He turns and heads back to the festival

Me: And we're done. I was contemplating skipping this episode originally cause ultimately nothing really important happens, but it's probably one of my favourite episodes of the first season. Also if you ever read the original version of this story you might remember that I had Ash catch the Gastly, I was planning on doing that again but I decided there was a better option for his Ghost Pokemon.
