One random straggler later they decided to be done for the day and Lucy went to buy something to eat. Cobra all but demanded that he go with her, albeit at a distance. She didn't complain when he insisted to stick by her, but it wasn't quite the same as the day before. After she bought a sandwich to eat (himself gnawing on some more of the rations he'd taken) the two of them walked through town; keeping away from areas with too many prying eyes. He watched her eat in silence, her thoughts bouncing between too many things at once to stay on any one topic. Cobra tried to focus on his own chewing instead.
Eventually, she finished and started window shopping among some of the vendors nearby. Nothing on the side streets seemed all that impressive to him, but it seemed to take her mind off things nonetheless.
"…You don't have to tell if you don't want to. But is it true that she knew Tartarous?" Cobra spoke in a whisper. Lucy didn't turn her gaze from the window display.
"…I did say I'd explain to you who she was. And your suspicions about her involvement are correct." With a hint of reluctance, she began to explain what she knew of Minerva, directly and indirectly. Some of it fit the context that he was given when he first said her name, other parts were brand new. He had been right that she was involved in Tartarous, but hearing about her exploits during the Grand Magic Games made his blood run cold. Especially the stuff done to Lucy herself, which nearly elicited a growl. Some of it was the kind of crap Angel used to pull, and this chick was supposed to be from a light guild?
