pokemonking0924-Yeah Misty's type coverage is a problem I only realized after starting the league story. The other issue is that I don't want to just give them Pokemon for the sake of it I want it to make sense story wise but it makes giving Misty new Pokemon a problem since she'd obviously prioritize Water types. The Elemental League itself won't be an issue though but yeah the amount of tournaments she can enter is limited because of it.
Alex: The Battling Eevee Brothers
Flashback
"Viridian City. It didn't take all that long to get here surprisingly." Alex says to Charmander as they stroll through the city
Char Charmander Char
"Yeah it's too bad I couldn't catch any Pokemon along the way. Oh well I'm sure we can handle the gym." They stop in front of the Viridian City Gym. Two men are standing guard
"Go away kid." One of the men says
"I'm here to challenge the Gym leader." Alex explains
"You're the third brat this day." The other man growls annoyed
"The Viridian Gym is currently closed." The first man explains in a bored tone
"Closed! Why?" Alex asks confused
"The Gym leader is out of town on some important business and will not be back for a few months." The man explains like he has done this a few times, "Now scram"
Alex rolls his eyes, "Fine. You don't have to be rude about it. Let's go Charmander."
Him and Charmander turn and walk away. They decide to just wonder around Viridian for awhile. It's starting to get late though
"Hmm. Maybe we should check into the Pokemon Centre for the night. How about it buddy?" Alex asks
Charmander is about to respond when it hears something coming from the alley nearby
Charmander! Char
"What is it?" Charmander leads Alex into the alley. Alex looks around but doesn't see anything
"I don't get it?"
Charmander points at the giant garbage bin
"Seriously? I'm not digging through trash Charmander." Alex turns to leave when he hears something coming from the bin. He sighs and heads closer. He peaks inside and sees something buried beneath the thrash bags
"Please Mew don't let anyone hear about this." He moves the thrash bags and gasps. Laying in the bin is a weak Eevee. It stares up at him terrified. Alex takes out his Pokedex and scans it
Eevee the Evolution Pokemon. A Normal type. Thanks to its unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions. This Eevee is female
Alex closes the pokedex. He slowly extends his hand towards the Eevee, "Hey little Eevee. I'm not gonna hurt you."
The Eevee flinches away from him
"You're scared of me huh." He scratches his chin in thought, "I have an idea."
He slips his bag off his shoulder and digs through it. He pulls out a sandwich and breaks a piece off. He places it in the palm of his hand and offers it to Eevee
"Go ahead."
Eevee stares at it cautiously and slowly approaches. She takes a bite
Eevee!
Alex gently picks up the Eevee
"You don't look so good. Why don't you come with me?" Alex asks
Eevee stares into his eyes

Flashback ends
Alex stares at the Eevee that the Pokegang have just stumbled across. It has been tied to a tree with a bowl of food and water placed next to it. Ash finishes scanning it
"Wow so many evolutions." Ash says amazed
"I wonder why it's tied up like this?" Misty bends down to check on the Eevee
"It's been abandoned." Brock says
"I don't know." Alex interrupts, "If it was abandoned why would they have left food and water out for it?"
Misty notices a collar around the Eevee's neck, there's a tag on it which says 'Stone Town 3-14'
"Stone Town. That's where we're heading right Brock?" Misty asks
"Yeah we're practically just outside the town." Brock replies
"Let's take it with us. Maybe we can find it's owner." Misty suggests
"Right."
The group walk through Stone Town. All the houses are packed close together
"We're looking for number 14 on the 3rd block." Brock explains
Misty is holding Eevee in her arms. She hasn't stopped cuddling it since they got it
"Why do they call this place Stone Town?" Ash asks Brock
"Well I told you about Evolution Mountain right?" Brock asks and Ash nods, "Well the people in this town often supply Evolution stones throughout the rest of Kanto. If you're looking for any specific stone this is definitely the best place to get it."
"So this is probably where my Water Stone came from." Alex says
"Yeah and Ash's Thunder Stone."
Pikachu's ears perk up at the mention of the Thunder Stone but Ash scratches his head to calm him down
Misty hugs Eevee more tightly, "Oh imagine me with my own Vaporeon."
Everyone glances at her and she realizes she said that out loud
"Sounds like you want to keep that Eevee all to yourself." Ash teases
"That explains why she won't let go of it." Brock chuckles
"Well if you really want something you have to go for it." Misty replies
Vee!
"Hey if you do end up keeping it then maybe it and Vaporeon will be friends." Ash says
Alex scrunches up his face, "I doubt it. Vaporeon doesn't like many people."
He runs his finger along his Pokeball
"There it is." They stop outside a huge mansion
"Wow." Misty says amazed
"It's huge!" Ash exclaims
As they get closer they can hear peaceful music
"I wonder what's going on?"
They knock on the door but there's no answer
"Let's head around the back." Brock suggests
They walk around the yard towards the back where they see a big party is taking place. Lots of people and their Pokemon are relaxing and eating food
"It's a garden party." Brock says
"It looks like fun." Ash says excitedly
"Guys look over there." Misty points at a man with orange spikey hair who touches a Poliwhirl with a Water Stone. The Poliwhirl evolves into a Poliwrath. A small crowd claps
"Congratulations. Your Poliwhirl is now a Poliwrath." The man says
"Thank you so much." Poliwhirl's trainer replies
Brock looks around at all the Pokemon at the party. There's Ninetales, Arcanine, Poliwrath, Cloyster, Starmie, Raichu, Vileplume, Victreebel and Exeggutor
"Oh these are all Pokemon that require stones to evolve." Brock realizes
They see the orange haired trainer walk over to two men who look similar to him. They're all wearing the exact same outfit, the only difference being their hair. One man has blue hair which has been styled like a fin and the other has red hair which is more bushy in the middle. The three of them are standing near a Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon
"Did those three seriously do their hair to match their Pokemon?" Alex asks
"It seems so yeah." Misty replies
The orange haired trainer notices them, "Eevee? Guys look it's Eevee!"
The three trainers head over to the Pokegang
"There you are Eevee." The orange haired trainer says
"We were worried about you." The red haired trainer says
The blue haired trainer takes Eevee from Misty, "Thank you for finding Eevee for us."
"Now that we have our star we can go on with the show." The red haired trainer says
"Mikey come over here!" The orange haired trainer yells
A young boy, younger than even Ash, walks over to them with his head down
"Mikey look who's back." The blue haired trainer hands Eevee back to the boy
Eevee!
Eevee licks Mikey's cheek. He however doesn't seem too excited
"You have to be more careful Mikey." The orange haired trainer says, "Because if you lose Eevee again it might not come back."
"I know." Mikey replies sadly, "I'll be more careful."
"Good." The red haired trainer says, "Now cheer up and enjoy the party."
The orange haired trainer turns towards the Pokegang, "You four are welcome to stay. As thanks for finding Eevee."
"Oh cool!" Ash shouts excitedly
The three men head off to mingle. The Pokegang approach Mikey and Eevee
"We found Eevee tied to a tree." Misty explains
"Why did you bring it back?" Mikey asks
"Huh?" Misty asks confused. Mikey stares into his Eevee's eyes sadly
Team Rocket are spying on the party from Evolution Mountain. They spot a table full of Evolution stones
"Look at all of those Jess." James says excitedly
"If we swipe those plus all the Pokemon then the boss will reward us for sure." Jessie says excitedly
"How come they found all those stones and we didn't find anything?" James asks
"Because you dug in the wrong place Team Rocket scientists!" Meowth yells annoyed
Jessie and James ignore him, "Look at all that food."
Their stomachs rumble, "Hmm maybe we can get something to eat before we steal everything?"
"Stop thinking about food!" Meowth scratches their faces
Mikey's older brothers have gathered everyone at the party together. The three of them are standing next to their respective Eeveelution. Mikey is facing them, clutching Eevee to his chest
"One day you'll be a Pokemon trainer just like us." The orange haired brother, named Sparky, explains
"Do you really think you can win your first battle with an unevolved Eevee?" The blue haired trainer, named Rainer, asks
"All of us won our first battles because we evolved our Eevee. There's no other way to win." The red haired trainer, named Pyro, says
"But I don't care about battles." Mikey replies
"Don't care!" The three brothers yell shocked
Jolteon!
Flareon!
Vaporeon!
"They're intense." Ash says
"I don't like them." Alex replies
"Everyone is waiting to see what you make Eevee evolve into Mikey." Rainer says
"Now Eevee has up to eight different evolutions." Sparky explains, "Espeon, Flareon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Sylveon, Umbreon, Vaporeon, and of course the best Jolteon."
Rainer coughs, "I think you mean Vaporeon."
"No you meant Flareon!" Pyro yells
"Shut it you two!" Sparky yells. He clears his throat, "As I was saying. You don't want Sylveon, Umbreon or Espeon since they don't evolve with stones. You want to make your Eevee evolve as soon as possible like we did."
Mikey looks down
"So clearly you need to evolve it into a Vaporeon." Rainer interrupts
"No Flareon!" Pyro yells
"Shut up!" Rainer and Sparky yell at Pyro
"And you stop interrupting!" Sparky yells at Rainer. He clears his throat again, "Now it's your choice at the end of the day but I'd like to explain to you why Jolteon is clearly the best option. When it gets mad the hair on it's body turns to needles which it fires at it's opponents."
"But that's not even an electric attack." Alex interrupts
"What?" Sparky asks confused
"You just described Pin Missile, a bug type move. Why would that convince someone to evolve their Eevee into an electric type?"
Sparky's face goes red from embarrassment and he looks away. Rainer and Pyro laugh at him
"The kid has a good point. Here let me take over." Rainer steps forward, "The reason you want to evolve Eevee into Vaporeon is because it can melt into water and make itself disappear."
"That's a very specific ability." Alex interrupts again, "I mean I've had a Vaporeon for a while now and I've never used that ability, which by the way isn't even a water type move. You're talking about Acid Armor which is poison."
"I uh...wait did you say you had a Vaporeon?" Rainer asks
"Yeah. Come on out Vaporeon!" Alex tosses his pokeball and Vaporeon pops out

Rainer's Vaporeon's eyes turn into hearts and it approaches Alex's

Alex's Vaporeon blushes
Vaporeon? Va Vaporeon(My lady? My aren't you a gentleman.)
While this is going on Pyro has swooped in to explain to Mikey why he should evolve Eevee into a Flareon
"It can shoot awesome fire attacks out of it's mouth due to it's internal fire sac. It's totally capable of burning everything in sight."
Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan the three Eeveelutions
Vaporeon the Bubble Jet Pokemon. A Water type. It prefers beautiful shores. With cells similar to water molecules, it could melt in water.
Jolteon the Lightning Pokemon. An Electric type. If agitated, it uses electricity to straighten out its fur and launch it in small bunches.
Flareon the Flame Pokemon. A Fire type. It has a flame chamber inside its body. It inhales, then blows out fire that is over 3,000F degrees.
"That makes much more sense than whatever they were going on about." Ash mutters to himself
"Jolteon is much cooler!" Sparky yells at Pyro
"No way! Flareon's the absolute best!" Pyro, "Right Mikey?"
"No Mikey agrees with me!" They both turn towards Mikey expectantly. He looks uncomfortable
"This family sure is competitive Ash. That's a lot of pressure to put on the little guy." Brock says
Ash steps forward, "Hey give the kid a break will ya? Isn't he a little young to battle?"
"We're throwing this party just for him and his Eevee." Sparky replies
"You should know you have to start training early if you want to become a master." Pyro says
"Yeah and one of these days you'll evolve that Pikachu into a Raichu." Sparky says
Pika!
Ash glances at Pikachu uncomfortably, "Well I uh..."
"Do you need a stone?" Sparky leads Ash and Brock over to a table full of Evolution stones of all kinds
"Here take a look." Sparky says
"Wow you sure do have a lot." Brock says
"Well it is what our town is known for." Pyro brags
"This whole party is for trainers who specialize in Stone based evolution." Sparky explains, "Why don't you join our club Ash?"
Sparky tosses a Thunder Stone towards Ash, "For your Pikachu."
"I um..."
"How about you Brock? Do you have any Pokemon that require evolution stones to evolve?" Pyro asks
"Well I do have a Vulpix." Brock lets his Vulpix out
Vulpix!
"Well then you need a Fire Stone." Pyro moves to grab one
"Wait hang on! I'm not gonna force Vulpix to evolve!" Brock exclaims
"Yeah and I'm not forcing Pikachu to evolve!" Ash hands the Thunder Stone back to Sparky
"Don't be dumb!" Sparky and Pyro yell at them
"Evolution is what Pokemon are all about!" Sparky yells
Flashback
Alex finishes cleaning Eevee off in the bath, "There you go Eevee. We got all that gunk off of you."
He helps Eevee out of the bath and she shakes her fur
Vee! Eevee Eevee!
Alex leads Eevee out of the bathroom. He places a bowl of pellets down for her to eat
"There you go Eevee. Dig in."
Eevee starts eating quickly. Alex sits down on the bed to relax. Eevee finishes eating and then hops into his lap
Eevee Eevee!
Alex starts stroking her along her back, "Don't worry Eevee. I'll take good care of you. You won't go wanting for anything ever again."
Flashback ends
Alex has grabbed a plate of food. He is sitting on a bench watching as his Vaporeon and Rainer's Vaporeon play together
"They seem to be getting along well." Alex looks up and sees Rainer standing near him
"Do you mind if I sit with you?" Rainer asks
Alex shifts over and Rainer takes a seat
"So how long have you and Vaporeon been together?" Rainer asks
"A while now. I found her as an Eevee practically two months ago." Alex answers
"Vaporeon and I have been together for years." Rainer explains, "My brothers and I got our Eevee at the same time, we all knew which Pokemon we wanted to evolve them into immediately."
"What about Mikey?" Alex asks
"Mikey came along a good couple of years later. We got him an Eevee so he could follow the family tradition. Although he hasn't really made a commitment."
"Have you considered maybe he doesn't want to evolve his Eevee?" Alex asks
"Why not?" Rainer asks confused, "Evolution is what Pokemon's all about. I mean you obviously understand that considering you evolved your Eevee."
Alex stands up, "I let Eevee choose what it wanted to evolve into. I doubt you guys gave yours the same consideration."
He walks away leaving Rainer to contemplate his words
Misty places Horsea into the water fountain where a bunch of Water type Pokemon are playing
"There you go Horsea. A nice pool for you to swim in."
Horsea!
Misty notices Mikey sitting away from everyone else. He is holding Eevee tightly and sipping a juice. Misty grabs a plate of sandwiches and approaches him
"Hungry?" She asks
Psyduck suddenly pops out of it's pokeball and grabs a sandwich
Psy
Misty growls and punches Psyduck, "Stop that!"
Psy aye aye!
She notices Mikey staring at her and laughs nervously
Misty has placed the plate on the bench and is sitting next to Mikey who is munching on a sandwich. Eevee eats something off of the plate. Pikachu heads over and hops onto the bench
"Is it good?" Misty asks and Mikey nods

Misty glances down at Eevee, "It doesn't really seem like you want to make Eevee evolve?"
Mikey shakes his head, "But my brothers don't care. They only care about battling."
"What about you Mikey?" Misty asks
"I was trying to hide Eevee...just for today." Mikey explains, "Then nobody could force me to make it evolve at the party."
"But Eevee looked really lonely out there." Misty replies
Chu
"I was gonna go get it later." Mikey says guiltily
Eevee nuzzles against him causing him to smile
"I don't care if Eevee evolves or not. I just want it to be my best friend."
"That's great." Misty says
"Really? You think that's great?" Mikey asks excitedly
"There's only one thing wrong." Misty explains, "You shouldn't have hidden Eevee. You were just running away from your problems"
"Running away?" Mikey asks confused
"If you really don't want Eevee to evolve then tell your brothers how you feel." Misty says, "That's your responsibility as a trainer."
She rubs her head sheepishly, "But I'm not your mother or anything so..."
"No you're right." Mikey agrees
"I really should apologize to you. If you hadn't claimed Eevee I was gonna keep it and evolve it into a Vaporeon myself."
Pikachu and Eevee are having a conversation
"I wonder what they're saying?" Mikey asks
"A while ago Pikachu decided not to evolve." Misty tells Mikey
"Really?" Mikey asks surprised
Rainer sees Mikey talking to Misty and starts walking over. He stops however and scratches his head. He turns and walks the other way
Alex gives his Vaporeon a piece of bread
"There you go Vaporeon."
Va Vaporeon!
"So you and that other Vaporeon seem to be getting along well."
Vaporeon blushes
"I'm glad you're having fun." Alex pets her
"You just don't get it." Sparky tells Ash and Brock
"We get it. We just don't agree." Ash retorts
"You like your way of evolving and we like ours." Brock replies
"That's the way to tell them Brock."
"Come on. Let's move on to the main event." Pyro says, "That way they'll see evolution our way."
"Good idea. Everyone gather together please!" Sparky yells, "It's time for our little brother Mikey to make his choice!"
Everyone gathers together. Mikey stares at the ground nervously. Sparky, Pyro and Rainer approach him
"Mikey which Pokemon will you evolve Eevee into?" Sparky asks
"I...uh..." Mikey gulps. He glances over at Misty who nods encouragingly, "I would like to-"
A bunch of firecrackers suddenly fall from the sky and explode
"What's going on!" Rainer yells
Team Rocket's balloon lands in the middle of the yard
"Oh great it's them again." Misty mumbles annoyed
Jessie and James hop out of the balloon and onto a table
"Who are you!" Sparky yells
Jessie and James smirk
Jessie: Prepare for trouble!
James: And make it double!
Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!
James: To unite all peoples within our nation!
Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
James: To extend our reach to the stars above!
Jessie: Jessie!
James: James!
The two of them plus Meowth suddenly start stuffing food into their mouths
Jessie(mouthful): Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!
James(mouthful): Surrender now or prepare to fight!
Meowth(mouthful): That's delicious!
"Becareful guys." Ash warns, "They're here to steal your Pokemon!"
"Weezing spread a Smokescreen!" James yells and Weezing suddenly pops out from the balloon. It lets out a Smokescreen covering the entire area in smoke. Everyone starts coughing
"I can't see anything!" Rainer yells
Ash grabs a pokeball and tosses it, "Pidgeotto blow the smoke away!"
Pidgeo!
Pidgeotto starts flapping it's wings quickly and blows the smoke away. However to everyone's shock Team Rocket have already gotten away with all the Pokemon
"They took the Pokemon!" Brock yells shocked
"And the evolution stones!" Sparky yells
"They even took the food." Alex says surprised
Psyduck
"Why couldn't they take you too?" Misty asks annoyed
Brock sees the balloon floating away, "Up there! They're getting away!"
"Pidgeotto pop that balloon!" Ash yells
Pidgeotto dashes towards the balloon and pops it with it's beak. The balloon crashes into the ground revealing that it's empty
"They tricked us!" Ash yells
"I can't believe they actually got away." Misty says shocked
"Pidgeotto fly around the area. Look for any sign of Team Rocket!" Ash yells
Pidgeotto nods and flies off. Brock tosses a pokeball and Zubat pops out
"Zubat you too!" Zubat flies off
Team Rocket are driving away in a small truck. All the Pokemon have been put in cages on a trailer
"That was so easy." Jessie laughs
"This is our most successful theft ever." James says
"And we got some good food on top of it." Meowth takes a bite out of something, "Delicious."
Horsea starts spitting some ink onto the road leaving a trail behind them. Pidgeotto flies past and notices the ink

Team Rocket have parked at the side of a river and have now gorged themselves on all the food they stole. Meowth lets out a burp
"Nothing tastes better than victory." Meowth rubs his belly
"We've gotten beaten so many times that I forgot what victory tasted like." James says causing Jessie to hit him
"I don't want to ever hear loser talk like that again. From now we're winners." Jessie declares
"Yeah we're winners!" James exclaims
"Alright back down to earth you two. It's time to make that Eevee evolve." Meowth points at Mikey's Eevee who is in a small cage separated from the other Pokemon. Eevee shakes in fear as the Team Rocket trio approach it
"I say we evolve it into a Jolteon." Meowth holds up a Thunder stone. Jessie and James suddenly punch him
"You don't get a say Meowth!" James yells
"Yeah! We're evolving it into a Flareon!" Jessie pulls out a Fire stone.
"What? No way! Vaporeon is so much better!" James pulls out a Water stone
"Jolteon's the best of them all!" Meowth yells
The three of them look like they're about to attack each other when Jessie suddenly gets an idea
"How about we use all three stones on Eevee?" Jessie suggests
"Hmm. Do you think that would work?" James asks
"Surely something would happen. We might get a fusion of all three Pokemon, or even an all new Pokemon." Jessie laughs
"I like it." Meowth agrees
"Then let's do it!" The three move towards Eevee holding the Evolution stones out. Eevee tries to back away from them and presses it's back against the cage
"Hold still Eevee."
A Water Gun suddenly hits them knocking them back
"Ahh!"
They hop to their feet
"What was that!" Jessie yells
They turn and see Ash, Alex, Brock, Misty, Mikey, Pyro, Rainer, Sparky, Squirtle and Psyduck have found them
"How did they find us!" James yells
"We followed your trail." Misty replies
"Trail? What trail?" Meowth asks confused
"The one my Horsea left." Misty smirks
Team Rocket growl, "Next time we gag the nuisance."
"Squirtle use Water Gun again!" Ash yells
Squirtle is about to attack when Psyduck suddenly steps forward and fires it's own Water Gun attack...a small sprinkle of water that harmlessly hits the ground miles away from Team Rocket. Everyone just stares at it
"That's embarrassing." Jessie says
Psyduck poses like he actually accomplished something useful. Misty sighs and returns it
"Embarrassing is right."
Squirtle fires the Water Gun breaking the cages with all the other Pokemon. James makes sure to grab Eevee's cage
"We still have this one!" James yells
"Eevee!" Mikey yells
Eevee Eevee!
"We're not letting you take it! Go Arbok!" Jessie tosses her pokeball and Arbok pops out
Cha-bok!
"Go Weezing and Weepinbell!" James tosses his pokeball and Weezing and Weepinbell pop out

Weepinbell jumps onto James' head
"Ahh get it off!" James throws Weepinbell off
"Alright Squirtle use-"
Rainer,Sparky and Pyro step forward
"We'll handle this." Rainer says
"Yeah it's our party they crashed." Pyro says
"And our brother's Pokemon they stole." Sparky says
Mikey looks up at them surprised
"Let's do this Jolteon!" Sparky yells
"Vaporeon into the river!" Rainer yells
"Flareon prepare to attack!" Pyro yells
Jolteon and Flareon get into attack poses while Vaporeon dives into the river. It melts into the water going invisible
"Jolteon use Pin Missile!" Sparky commands
Jolteon sparks with some electricity causing it's fur to sharpen. It fires the fur like needles towards Arbok
"Arbok counter with Poison Sting!" Jessie yells
Arbok starts firing it's own needle like attack which knock Jolteon's away
"Impossible!" Sparky yells
"Flareon Fire Spin!" Pyro yells
Flareon lets out a breath of flames towards Weepinbell
"Weezing Poison Gas!" James yells
Weezing breaths out the Poison Gas towards the Fire Spin. As soon as it makes contact the gas explodes blowing Flareon backwards
"Flareon no!" Pyro yells
Vaporeon becomes visible close to Arbok and leaps out to attack. Seaking suddenly pops out from the water and jams it's horn into Vaporeon's side

"What happened!" Rainer yells shocked
Vaporeon collapses back into the water. Jessie starts laughing
"I let my Seaking out for a bit of a swim!"
"Jolteon use Thunder Shock!" Sparky yells and Jolteon fires a bunch of small electric attacks directly towards James
"Ahhh!" James yells when Weepinbell knocks him out of the way. The attack hits Weepinbell causing it some pain but not much. James slams into the ground and Eevee's cage goes flying into the air
"Eevee!" Mikey yells
Eeveee!
Mikey catches the cage
"Eevee you're ok!"
James gets back to his feet, "Weepinbell you saved me."

James moves to hug Weepinbell when Jessie interrupts
"We still have a battle to win James!" Jessie yells
"Oh right. Weezing use Smog! Weepinbell use Vine Whip!" James yells
"Arbok Acid! Seaking Horn Drill" Jessie yells
Weepinbell extends it's vines out smacking Jolteon. Arbok then fires Acid hitting the Lightning Pokemon in the face
Jolteon!
Jolteon is knocked backwards and slams into the ground in front of Sparky
"Jolteon no!" Sparky yells
Weezing fires the Smog attack hitting Flareon head on
Flareon!
Flareon is blown backwards and slams into the ground in front of Pyro
"Flareon it can't be!" Pyro yells
Seaking's horn starts spinning and it rams into Vaporeon
Vaporeon!
Vaporeon is sent flying and slams into the ground in front of Rainer
"Vaporeon get up!" Rainer yells
All three Eeveelutions are out
Vaporeon!
Alex's Vaporeon rushes over to Rainer's to check on him
"So who wants to go next?" Jessie asks
"Alright Squirtle let's-"
Mikey rushes forward with Eevee, "Let's do this Eevee! It's time for our first battle!"
"Mikey you can't!" Rainer yells
"Someone needs to help him." Brock says concerned
Alex reaches for Gyarados' pokeball when Vaporeon rushes forward, "Vaporeon! You actually want to battle?"
Vaporeon nods
"Alright then. Vaporeon use Water Pulse!" Alex yells
Vaporeon fires the Water Pulse hitting Arbok and knocking it back
Chabok!
"Arbok use Poison Sting!" Jessie yells
Arbok shakes it's head and fires the Poison Sting...at Seaking
Seaking!
"Arbok what are you doing!" Jessie yells
"Eevee Quick Attack!" Mikey yells
Eevee speeds forward and hits Weepinbell knocking it backwards
"Ah! Weezing use Smog on that Eevee!" James yells
"Vaporeon Sand Attack!" Alex yells
Vaporeon kicks some sand out of the ground and into Weezing's eyes
Weezing!
Weezing clenches it's eyes shut and spins around. It fires the Smog at Seaking
Seaking!
"James why did you attack my Seaking!" Jessie yells
"I didn't I swear!"
Poor Seaking has been knocked out from the attacks. Jessie returns it
"Grr. Arbok Acid at that Vaporeon!"
"Weepinbell Vine Whip!"
Both attacks hit Vaporeon knocking it backwards
"Vaporeon!" Alex yells
"Eevee use Charm!" Mikey yells
Eevee makes a cute face causing all three members of Team Rocket to make aww sounds
"It's so cute." Jessie says
"How could we ever harm something like that?" James asks
"I feel rotten" Meowth says

Weepinbell
Weeezing
"Vaporeon use-" Alex is about to give a command when Vaporeon starts powering an attack by herself, "Vaporeon what are you doing?"
Vaporeon lets out a gigantic Hydro Pump straight towards Team Rocket who finally snap out of their cute daze
"It's coming right for us!" They scream
The attack hits them and their Pokemon sending them all blasting off
"We're blasting off again!"
"Wow." Alex says dumbfounded, "Vaporeon I never realized you had so much power."
Vaporeon stands up proudly
Va..va...
She turns towards Rainer's Vaporeon who is calling out weakly. She rushes over to him and nuzzles with him. Alex watches them intently
Meanwhile Sparky, Rainer and Pyro rush over to Mikey who is checking on Eevee
"Well done Mikey. You won your first battle." Sparky congratulates him
"Yeah you did great." Pyro says
"Aw thanks you guys." Mikey replies. He takes a deep breath, "I've decided I don't want to evolve my Eevee...atleast not yet."
The three brothers look thoughtful. Rainer kneels and places his hand on Mikey's shoulder
"If that's what you want then we'll respect it." Rainer says
"Really?" Mikey asks shocked
"Yeah. We realize now that we were wrong to try and force you to evolve your Eevee." Sparky says
"Yeah we thought evolving our Pokemon automatically made them stronger but look how easily we got beaten." Pyro says
"So if you want to keep your Eevee as is, then so be it." Rainer says
Mikey starts tearing up, "I love you guys."
The four of them hug
"That's so sweet." Misty comments on the side
"It's nice seeing a family come together." Brock says
Alex makes fake gagging noises, "Tell me when all the mushy stuff is over."
"Can we get back to the party now?" Ash asks, "I'm really hungry."
Everything has been returned and the party is back on. The Pokegang and Mikey clink their glasses of juice together since they're all still underage and therefore cannot drink
"Congratulations on your first victory Mikey." Ash says
"Thank you." Mikey replies shyly
"Hey where's my congratulations?" Alex asks, "I played a pretty important role in that fight you know?"
"Um miss Misty." Mikey speaks up with his eyes staring at the ground
"What's wrong Mikey?" Misty asks
"I wanted to thank you for helping me." He pulls out a small flower and offers it to her, "For you."
Misty takes the flower, "It's beautiful Mikey. I'm sure you'll become a great Eevee trainer. Friends forever?"
Mikey holds out his pinkie, "Friends forever!"
They pinkie swear. Alex just throws up his arms in frustration
"Alright everyone let's gather for the group photo!" Sparky yells and everyone rushes over. They all get into their positions with Alex's Vaporeon standing next to Rainer's. Psyduck trips right before the picture is taken
Psyduck!
It's starting to get late and the Pokegang are preparing to head to the Pokemon Centre tonight
"Thanks for the party!" Ash waves goodbye
Alex notices his Vaporeon walking away sadly. Alex sighs
"Hey do you mind if Vaporeon stays for the night?" He asks
"Huh?" Ash says confused
"Ofcourse not." Rainer replies
"Do you want to stay here tonight?" Alex asks Vaporeon. She glances over at Rainer's Vaporeon before nodding her head
"Alright then. I'll be back to fetch you in the morning." Alex replies
The Pokegang walk off. Alex is lost in thought
Everyone but Alex is sleeping. He stares up at the ceiling, debating with himself
(I've never seen her so happy before...no that's not true. Once.)
He thinks back to when he first found Eevee. He chuckles
(She always acts like such a spoiled brat. I guess it's partly my fault...)
He sits up and rests his head in his hands
"I don't know what to do..." He whispers to himself
He glances out the window at the moon, "What would you have done?"
Ash wakes up the next morning. He yawns and stretches as he sits up and blinks the sleep out of his eyes...only to notice Alex's bed is empty
"Alex?" He quickly checks to make sure everyone's hair is still the same, "I wonder where he went?"
Alex stands outside of the mansion. Charmeleon is standing next to him
"Last chance to talk me out of this Charmeleon."
Char Charmeleon Meleon Charmeleon(If you think this is for the best. Then I support you)
Alex sighs. He knocks on the door. A few minutes pass and Rainer opens the door. Vaporeon rushes out and leaps into Alex's arms
"Hey Vaporeon." Alex rubs her head. He looks over at Rainer
"I want to talk about something."
"Sure Alex. Do you want to come in or-"
"No." Alex shakes his head, "If I left Vaporeon here would you take care of her?"
Rainer's eyes widen in shock
Vaporeon?
"Ofcourse. I'd take good care of her." Rainer replies
Alex nods. He kneels down to be eye level with Vaporeon, "I noticed how happy you were yesterday...and how close you and Rainer's Vaporeon got. So if you'd like..."
He rubs his hand along his mouth, "If you'd like I'm willing to let you stay with him. Atleast temporarily."
He stares into Vaporeon's eyes. He can see the uncertainty in them
"I promised you that you wouldn't go wanting for anything. So if you truly want to be with Rainer's Vaporeon...then I'll let you."
Vaporeon starts tearing up. She licks Alex's cheek
"I'll miss you too Vaporeon."
He stands up and turns to Rainer. He takes out Vaporeon's pokeball, "I'm trusting you with a big responsibility here. She means a lot to me."
Rainer takes the pokeball, "I won't let you down."
Alex nods. Rainer looks thoughtful, "Before you go. I want to give you something."
Rainer heads back into the house. While they are waiting Charmeleon and Vaporeon talk
Char Charmeleon Char?(So are you really going to stay?)
Va Vaporeon Vava(I guess so)
Meleon Char Charmeleon Char...charmeleon(I can't believe I'm going to say this but...I'm going to miss you)
Vaporeon(I'll miss you too)
Vaporeon looks down for a second
Vaporeon Vaporeon(And thank you. For saving me)
Charmeleon grins
Charmeleon(Don't mention it)
Rainer comes back out holding an egg. It's a silvery colour with a white jagged middle section
"I noticed this egg this morning."
Alex's eyes widen, "Huh. Interesting."
"Here you can have it." Rainer offers it to Alex. He takes the egg hesitantly
"Thanks."
Alex looks down at Vaporeon, "Next time I'm in the area I'll come visit ok."
Vaporeon nods and Alex pets her head
"Goodbye Vaporeon."
Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu are waiting in the lobby of the Pokemon Centre. Alex enters
"There you are." Ash says, "We were about to head out looking for you."
"Just had to stop by the mansion before we leave." Alex replies
"Oh yeah you had to pick up Vaporeon." Ash realizes, "How is she?"
"She's fine." Alex answers, "But she's not coming with. Let's go."
"What?" Everyone looks confused
"What do you mean?" Misty asks
"She's staying with Rainer. Can we leave?" Alex asks
"Hang on Alex." Brock interrupts, "Why is Vaporeon staying?"
"She wants to stay with Rainer's Vaporeon. It's not that complicated. Can we go now?"
"Are you sure about this? Did you ask her?" Brock asks
"Yes!" Alex yells startling everyone in the lobby. They turn to look at him
"I asked. I made certain." Alex explains, "I wouldn't abandon her. I..."
Alex clenches his fists
"Can we leave this town? Please?" He begs
"Alright." Ash steps forward, "We can go."
The group depart from Stone Town

And so we bid farewell to Vaporeon. Although it may not be permanent. I've kind of left the door open for her and Alex to reunite at some point in the future.
