Alex: The Glacier Wraith
The Pokegang have departed from Cinnabar Island on a ferry. Ash leaned against the railing with Pikachu perched on his shoulder.
"Next stop, Viridian City!" Ash exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with determination.
"Don't forget, you still need to strategize for the Gym battle," Brock reminded, adjusting his backpack straps.
Misty cradled Togepi, who cooed softly as the gentle rocking of the ferry lulled it to sleep. "Let's just hope we don't run into any more unexpected detours."
She places the sleeping Togepi into her bag and zips it up so Togepi can sleep undisturbed. Alex has his baseball bat out and Eevee is playfully swatting at it
Eevee! Eevee!
The sky suddenly darkened ominously. Clouds gathered with unnatural speed, and the once-calm sea began to churn. The ferry's captain sounded the alarm, his voice crackling over the intercom: "All passengers, brace yourselves! We're heading into a sudden storm!"
The crew scrambled to secure the deck as waves crashed against the sides of the vessel. Ash tightened his grip on the railing, "This came out of nowhere!"
Alex pulls out his pokeball and returns Eevee. He looks around and notices something in the water, "Look! There's something in the water!"
A massive whirlpool had formed, its vortex pulling the ferry off course. The ship's engines roared in protest, but the swirling current was too strong.
"Everyone, hold on!" Brock yelled, grabbing a nearby lifebuoy.
The whirlpool's force tilted the ferry precariously, and with a lurch, the railing gives way. Ash, Alex, Brock, Misty and Pikachu are thrown overboard and plunge into the icy water. Ash manages to resurface
"Pikachu!"
He feels something grab onto him and sees Pikachu. He grabs Pikachu and holds him close
"I've got you Pikachu!"
Alex suddenly surfaces on Gyarados' back. Brock and Misty are also there clinging onto Gyarados. Alex sees Ash and Pikachu struggling to stay afloat and reaches out for them
"Ash!"
Ash grabs Alex's hand and Alex,Brock and Misty lift him and Pikachu up onto Gyarados
"Thanks guys..." Ash catches his breath
"That was too close." Misty says concerned
"We're not safe yet." Brock reminds them,"The ferry's gone. We need to try and find land."
"Gyarados you're gonna have to get us to land ok." Alex tells Gyarados who roars softly in understand. It starts swimming through the water,fighting through the storm.
"Everyone hang on tight!" Brock warns everyone
The storm eventually calms and Gyarados' pace becomes more relaxed. The air is covered in an icy mist. Ash stares ahead and makes out something in the distance
"Guys look!" Ash points ahead of them.
Through the thinning mist the group could make out a pair of twin identical icy landmasses connected to each other. Frozen pillars of ice jut out around the water near the landmasses and the smell of ice is strong in the area. As Gyarados gets closer the air gets colder and the gang can make out the landmasses better. There are numerous dark caverns built into the landmasses leading into unknown depths.
"Where are we?" Ash asks
"The Seafoam Islands." Brock answers
As Gyarados continues moving towards the landmasses Brock explains where they are,"They're a pair of isolated islands known for their frigid climate and labyrinthine cave systems. Strong ocean currents make it dangerous to travel near them, and a lot of ships avoid this area altogether."
He gestures toward the cliffs towering over them. "These caves stretch deep underground, some even connecting beneath the ocean. The constant flow of seawater has carved tunnels through the rock, creating a maze that can be easy to get lost in. Some say the temperature inside drops even lower than it does out here, and there are pockets of ice that never seem to melt."
Misty shivers,"Sounds like a great place to get trapped."
Brock nodded. "It's also home to a variety of wild Pokémon, a lot of them suited for colder environments. Water-types, Ice-types... even some that have adapted to the caves themselves. But aside from that, not many people come here. It's just too dangerous."
They reach the icy surface and everyone climbs off of Gyarados' back
"Well, we're here now, and we need to find a way back." Ash says
Brock sighs, glancing toward the looming cave entrance. "Easier said than done."
"Thanks for the lift Gyarados." Alex returns his Pokemon and then turns to face his friends,"So we're trapped on a dangerous island that ships tend to avoid and we have absolutely no clue what to expect?" He sighs,"I wish we were at Pokemon Land right now."
"There has to be something we can do." Ash says,"Maybe I could send Pidgeotto out to get help?"
"It's possible but with all the mist around here Pidgeotto might get lost. It's better if we all stick together." Brock says
A moaning sound suddenly cuts through the air
"What was that?" Misty asks fearfully
"It must just be the wind." Alex says unconvinced
They hear it again,this time louder
"No that's definitely not the wind." Ash says nervously
They hear a slithering sound,like something is sliding along the ice. It's getting louder and louder
"Whatever it is it's coming right for us!" Misty yells
Pikachu's cheeks spark in preparation to attack when a Dewgong pops into view
Dewdew Dewgooooooonggg
"Oh. It was just a Dewgong." Brock says
Dewgong slides over to them curiously
Dewgong?
"Aw. Hi there Dewgong." Misty kneels down and rubs the Dewgong's head. It closes it's eyes and grins happily

"It's so cute!" Misty cooes over the Dewgong. Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan it
Dewgong the Sea Lion Pokemon,A Water/Ice type. Stores thermal energy in its body. Swims at a steady 8 knots even in intensely cold waters. Dewgong is the evolved form of Seel. This Dewgong is Female
"Ofcourse you fall in love with a water type Pokemon." Ash laughs
"I can't help it." Misty continues petting the Dewgong,"But this Dewgong especially is so adorable."
Dewgong starts doing tricks for them and entertains the group for a couple of minutes
"Wow it's very talented." Brock says while Ash,Misty and Pikachu clap
"You know guys as fun as this is..." Alex draws out,"We should probably be more focused on getting off this island."
"Oh right." Brock admits,"We kind of got distracted."
Ash is staring at the cave entrance,"I bet there's a whole bunch of Pokemon inside there."
Ash suddenly dashes into the cave
"Ash!" Brock yells,"We were supposed to stick together!"
Alex,Brock,Misty and Pikachu chase after Ash. Misty yells back at the Dewgong as they run away,"Bye Dewgong!"
The Dewgong tilts her head confused
Dewgong?
Ash has managed to almost immediately get lost in the caverns
"Hello!" Ash yells,"Are there any Pokemon down here?"
He continues travelling through the caverns,taking random turns and slipping off into different tunnels,not at all paying attention to his surroundings
"Come out come out wherever you are!" Ash yells,"I wanna catch you!"
He hears footsteps approaching him and he reaches for a pokeball,"Here we go."
He tosses his pokeball towards the footsteps,"Ouch!"
Ash looks confused at the sound of a human's voice. A human figure steps towards him clutching the pokeball and Ash's eyes widen in realization
"Did you seriously throw a pokeball at me?" Damien asks
"Damien! What are you doing here?" Ash asks surprised
"I was looking for wild Pokemon when I heard someone screaming so I decided to come investigate." Damien tosses the pokeball back towards Ash,"What are you doing here?"
"My friends and I were thrown overboard during a storm and we ended up swimming here on Gyarados' back." Ash explains. Damien glances behind Ash
"So where are your friends?" Damien asks and Ash looks around startled
"Oh..."
Damien shakes his head,"Come on follow me. I'll help you find them."
"Thanks Damien." The two start walking back the way Ash came,"So why exactly are you on the Seafoam Islands?"
"Hmm. Oh I'm following a rumour." Damien explains as he leads Ash through the tunnels,"Have you heard of Articuno?"
"Articuno?" Ash takes out his pokedex
Articuno the Freeze Pokemon,an Ice/Flying type. Articuno is a legendary bird Pokémon that can control ice. The flapping of its wings chills the air. As a result, it is said that when this Pokémon flies, snow will fall.
"You're looking for a legendary Pokemon?" Ash asks in awe
"Yep. There are rumours that Articuno likes to roost on these islands so I decided to come here to see if I could find it." Damien explains
"Wow. Do you mind if I join you?" Ash asks excited,"I'd love to meet Articuno!"
"Sure you can tag along." Damien says,"Let's just find your friends first be-"
Damien suddenly stops and grabs Ash
"What's the matter?" Ash asks
"Footsteps." Damien points to one of the tunnels to the side of them,"That way."
"It must be Misty and the others." Ash says,"Guys! Overhere!"
The footsteps get closer but the people who step out of the tunnel aren't Alex,Misty and Brock.
"Look a couple of trainers." One of the two Rockets Grunts says
"Team Rocket!" Ash exclaims shocked
"Good you know who we are." The second Grunt says,"Then you know what we want. Hand over all your Pokemon and you won't get hurt."
"No way!" Ash yells
"We warned you brat!" The two grunts toss their pokeballs and a Machoke and Golbat pop out
Machoke!
Golbat!
"I'll fight muscle with muscle! Go Primeape!" Ash tosses his pokeball and Primeape pops out
Primeape!
Damien grabs a pokeball and tosses it. A Piloswine pops out causing the icy ground beneath it to crack a little from it's weight
Piloswine!
"Woah I've never seen that before." Ash takes out his pokedex and scans it
Piloswine the Swine Pokemon,an Ice/Ground type. Although its legs are short, its rugged hooves prevent it from slipping, even on icy ground. Piloswine is the evolved form of Swinub and evolves into Mamoswine. This Piloswine is Male
Damien smirks,"I figured since we're in an icy cave I may as well suit the aethestics."
Piloswine stomps it's foot onto the ground causing the battlefield to shake. Golbat dives towards Piloswine but Primeape leaps into the air
"Primeape use Cross Chop!" Ash yells and Primeape crosses it's arms together striking Golbat. Primeape drives Golbat to the ground. The Earthquake that Piloswine caused ends and Machoke immediately rushes on the attack
"Dynamic Punch!" The Grunt yells and Machoke's fist starts glowing white
Machoke!
"Piloswine Powder Snow!" Damien yells and Piloswine releases a gust of cold wind from it's mouth. The wind passes Machoke causing the Pokemon to freeze up and lose it's attack
Choke!
Golbat bites into Primeape's fist causing the Pig Monkey Pokemon to screech in pain and leap off it. The Bat Pokemon takes flight again
"Golbat Venoshock!" The grunt orders and Golbat fires a stream of purple liquid towards Primeape. Piloswine rushes into the way taking the attack
Swine!
However other than that initial burst of pain,Piloswine is unharmed
"Thanks Damien." Ash says and Damien nods. He's about to give an order when Machoke rushes towards Piloswine with both fists' outstretched
"Primeape grab it!" Ash yells and Primeape sticks it's fists out catching Machoke's arms
Machoke!?
"Get out of there you stupid Pokemon!" The Grunt yells
"Seismic Toss now!" Ash yells and Primeape jumps into the air pulling Machoke with it. It spins through the air before tossing Machoke into Golbat
Batt!
Both Pokemon are driven into the ground in front of their trainers. Piloswine then turns it's attention towards the Grunts whose eyes widen terrified
"Let's get out of here!" The Grunt yells and they turn to run
"Piloswine Blizzard!" Damien yells and a powerful burst of icy wind shoots from Piloswine's mouth. The two Grunts and their Pokemon are both frozen solid
"And that's that." Damien raises his pokeball,"Return Piloswine. You did great."
"You too Primeape." Ash returns his Pokemon,"I wonder what those Team Rocket Grunts were doing here?"
"If I had to guess,they're likely looking for Articuno." Damien says,"Come we better find your friends soon in case there's more of them."
Meanwhile Alex,Brock,Misty and Pikachu are searching for Ash through the caves. Pikachu is riding on Misty's shoulder
"Ash!" Misty yells
Pikapi!
"I swear if we don't find him I'm gonna kill him." Alex growls annoyed
They hear voices close by
"You guys hear that right?" Ales asks
"Do you think it's Ash?" Misty asks
Brock listens closely and shakes his head,"No."
They peak around the huge piece of ice blocking their path and sees a couple of Rocket Grunts
"It's Team Rocket." Alex whispers
"What are they doing here?" Misty asks
"Whatever it is I doubt it's good." Brock says. He grabs a pokeball,"Stay behind cover."
"What are you doing Brock?" Alex asks
Brock tosses his pokeball in the direction of the grunts and Aerodactyl emerges
Aero!
The Grunts look up at it startled
"Is that an Aerodactyl?" One of asks shocked
"Yes! And it's coming right for us!" The other Grunt yells and they make a run for it down the tunnels. The group come out of hiding
"Well done Aerodactyl." Brock says. Aerodactyl immediately turns it's attention to them and dives towards them
"Brock return it!" Misty yells and Brock returns Aerodactyl to it's pokeball
"I think it's behaviour is improving." Brock says
Pikapi?
"Shoot Pikachu's right!" Alex realizes,"What if there are more of Team Rocket and they got Ash!"
"We have to find him quickly." Brock says concerned and they rush down one of the tunnels
"And then it swooped down and tried to eat us and-" Andrew punches the wailing Grunt
"Get ahold of yourself!" Andrew yells,"You really expect me to believe that Aerodactyl,an extinct Pokemon,appeared out of thin air and attacked you!"
"It's true!" The other Grunt insists terrified. Andrew scoffs
"Cowards the both of you. Head back there and continue the search for Articuno immed..." Andrew's scanner starts beeping. He looks down at it and smirks,"Nevermind. Articuno has been sighted."
A couple minutes earlier
"Are you sure it's safe?" Ash asks nervously as him and Damien eye a bridge made of ice. Below the bridge is a long drop
"I've been over it a couple of times. Just take it slow." Damien says and steps onto the bridge. He slowly takes a step forward,making sure to maintain his balance and he eventually reaches the other side. He turns to look at Ash,"See. Nothing to it. Your turn."
Ash gulps,"Ok."
Ash slowly starts walking across the bridge. As he gets to the halfway point the ice underneath him starts cracking. Damien notices
"Oh no. Ash quick run!" Damien yells and Ash starts rushing across the bridge. However the ice shatters beneath him and he falls
"Ahhhh!"
"Crap crap crap!" Damien reaches for a pokeball when a blue blur suddenly swoops past grabbing Ash. Damien stares in shock as Articuno drops Ash down besides Damien
"Articuno"
Articuno makes eye contact with Damien before diving down to the pit below and out of sight. Damien turns to check on Ash,"Are you ok?"
"I think so. Was that Articuno?" Ash asks and Damien nods,"Wow"
"It's roost must be further down the caves." Damien says as he glances down into the pit,"Come I know a safe way to get down."
The two head off
Meanwhile Alex,Brock,Misty and Pikachu have come across a river blocking their path. The current is too powerful for them to push through(not to mention freezing cold).
"There's got to be some way across." Misty says
"Maybe we can push boulders into the river to block the current and make the water easier to swim through." Brock suggests
"That's stupid Brock." Alex says,"I'll just have Gyarados carry us across."
Pikachu
Ash and Damien have been cornered by a group of wild Shellder
Shellder! Shellder!
"Ok this is new." Damien says cautiously
"If I had Pikachu with me then I could handle these Shellder easily!" Ash exclaims
"Don't you have any other Electric type Pokemon?" Damien asks
"No...but I do have a Grass type! Go Bulbasaur!" Ash tosses his pokeball and Bulbasaur pops out. He looks around at all the Shellder and gets ready to fight.
The Shellder leap towards Bulbasaur who shoots out his vines and smacks two of them out of the air. He jumps into the air to avoid the rest of the Shellder and fires a Razor Leaf taking down three more. The remaining Shellder all fire Water Gun but Bulbasaur manages to dodge and shoots out a Leech Seed hitting one of the Shellder and sucking out it's energy. The last two Shellder both rush Bulbasaur at the same time but Bulbasaur ducks causing the two of them to slam into each other and knock each other out
Bulbasaur!
"Yeah way to go Bulbasaur!" Ash cheers
"Huh. Nicely done." Damien nods. Ash tosses a pokeball at one of the Shellder catching it
Team Rocket are continuing their descent into the caverns when one of the Grunts speaks up
"Sir! Look what the cameras picked up." The Grunt shows Andrew a screen which shows Alex,Misty,Brock and Pikachu getting carried across the river by Gyarados. Andrew scowls
"I recognize these kids. Take a couple men in that direction and deal with them."
"Understood sir."
Ash is sliding across the ice,"Why is it so slippery in here!"
Damien shrugs,"I guess because it's closer to Articuno's nest. You just have to pay attention when you move."
Damien moves onto the ice and slides forward towards a less frozen spot. He stops there,turns and looks towards another cave which he then slides towards,"See. Easy."
"Ok I got this." Ash steps forward and starts sliding. He slams face first into a giant boulder,"Ow!"
Alex,Misty,Brock and Pikachu are descending further down the caverns. The icy weather is starting to get to them. Misty especially is shivering
"It's really cold all of a sudden." Misty shivers
Alex groans,"Our jackets are still on the ferry."
Pikachu's ears suddenly perk up and his cheeks start sparking
Chu...
"What's the matter Pikachu?" Misty asks
They're suddenly struck by an Ice Beam freezing all of them. A couple Team Rocket Grunts approach with a Cloyster
"Nicely done Cloyster." The Grunt says. He turns to the other grunts,"Round them up."
Alex,Misty,Brock and Pikachu are escorted towards Team Rocket's makeshift camp. The camp contains crates of supplies,some portable heaters and cages full of captured Pokemon
"Toss the Pikachu in with the other Pokemon." The Grunt says,"Tie the brats up and then we have to get moving. Oh and make sure to take their pokeballs."
Damien and Ash have entered into a chamber of shimmering ice. In the center of the chamber,atop a frozen pedestal stood Articuno. The Legendary Bird awakens from it's sleep the moment Damien and Ash enter the chamber. It raises it's head to inspect the two trainers and unfurls it's wings. Flakes of snow drip off of it's wings
"It's majestic." Ash says stunned. Damien nods in agreement and slowly approaches Articuno
"Articuno. I'd like to-" However a steel net suddenly fired out from behind them hitting Articuno. The Legendary Pokemon falls off it's pedestal and slams into the ground. Ash yells out shocked while Damien is stunned. Articuno tries to spread out it's wings to get free but can't manuever probably. It tries to freeze the net but any ice melts
"Stupid bird." Andrew chuckles as his Team Rocket grunts reveal themselves,"The net's been reinforced specifically to deal with Ice types."
Ash's eyes widen,"It's you!"
"So you remember me you stinking brat." Andrew spits. Damien steps closer to Ash
"You know this guy?" Damien asks and Ash nods
"He tried to blow up the Safari Zone a while back." Ash answers
"Your interference cost me a lot." Andrew growls,"But I now I have a chance to make things right."
He gestures at Articuno who is screeching and trying to escape,"Thank you for leading me to Articuno."
"You're not getting it!" Ash yells and grabs a pokeball off his belt.
Andrew scoffs,"You're going to battle us? You're outnumbered and face to face with a Team Rocket elite. You don't stand a chance."
"I don't care! I won't let you take Articuno! Go Charizard!" Ash tosses his pokeball and his fire type Pokemon appears
Rarrrrrr!
Charizard lets out a flamethrower roasting one of the Grunts
"Ahhh!" The Grunt falls over
"Way to go Charizard!" Ash yells,"Now-"
Charizard fires Flamethrower hitting Ash,"Owwww!"
Charizard then starts firing Flamethrower all over the place
"Dive for cover!" One of the Grunts yells and they leap out of the way
Alex slowly opens his eyes and groans.
"What happened?" He takes in his surroundings. Him,Brock and Misty have been tied up in the middle of the camp. The Team Rocket Grunts are gathering up everything in order to depart from the cave. He sees the Pokemon trapped in their cages being hauled off and sees Pikachu is among them
"Crap. We need to get out of here." He tries to reach for his pokeballs but realizes they've been taken. He looks over at Misty and Brock who are still unconscious. He kicks Brock
"Brock. Brock wake up." He says softly. Brock slowly stirs
"Mmm. Alex?" Brock tries to sit up but realizes he's tied up,"What happened? Where are you?"
"A Team Rocket camp. They must have captured us somehow." Alex says and wakes Misty up. He quickly gets them up to speed on everything
"What are we gonna do?" Misty asks concerned
At that moment Misty's bag,which has been tossed into the same crate as the rest of the group's pokeballs,starts shifting. Togepi emerges from it
Prii?
Togepi looks around confused and is about to start crying when it notices Misty
Togi!
It jumps up excited hitting one of the pokeballs before jumping out of the crate
"It's Togepi!" Misty exclaims surprised
Togepi!
The release mechanism of the pokeball Togepi hit is triggered and Charmeleon pops out
Char? Charmeleon!
"Charmeleon! Over here!"
Charmeleon rushes over to Alex,"Get me these ropes off me."
Charmeleon uses it's claws to cut through the ropes and free Alex,Misty and Brock. Misty immediately hugs Togepi
"I'm so happy you're ok." Misty says
"Hey!" One of the Grunts notices them,"The Prisoners are free!"
"Quick Charmeleon use Flamethrower!" Alex yells and Charmeleon fires the Flamethrower hitting a couple of the Grunts. Brock has rushed towards his pokeballs and tosses one. Onix emerges
Rarrrrr!
Charizard is still throwing a tantrum. The constant flamethrowers have started melting the ice in the chamber and icicles are dropping from the ceiling. The Team Rocket Grunts are in disarrayed panic trying to avoid the falling obstacles while Ash is trying to get Charizard under control. Damien has taken advantage of all the chaos to rush over to Articuno
"I'm going to get you out there ok." Damien tells the Articuno. He tries to grab the net but it burns his hands
"Ouch!" He falls back,"Feraligatr go!"
Feraligatr!
"Feraligatr I need you to break that net!" Damien tells Feraligatr who nods and bites into the net
Andrew is watching the distraction that Charizard is causing,"Enough of this."
He tosses his pokeball,"Fearow Sky Attack!"
His shiny Fearow emerges from the pokeball and flies straight towards Charizard. A white glow surrounds the Beak Pokemon and it slams into an unsuspecting Charizard
"Ahhh!" Ash yells and Charizard is knocked unconscious by the attack,"Charizard!"
Ash crouches down beside his fainted Charizard. Andrew stares down at him threateningly
"Fearow," Andrew is about to give a command when Articuno bursts into the air,"What!"
He turns and sees that Feraligatr has successfully ripped through the net,"No!"
Articuno's eyes start glowing blue and strong gusts of icy wind start whirling around the room. Damien returns Feraligatr and runs towards Ash
"You will not escape me!" Andrew yells at Articuno as the Blizzard starts overtaking the room. Damien grabs Ash's shoulder,"We have to go!"
Ash returns Charizard and the two rush out of the room as Articuno's icy destruction continues
Onix has destroyed the Team Rocket camp and freed all the captured Pokemon. All the Grunts have been taken care of too.
"Nice job Onix. Return." Brock returns his Pokemon
"I hope Ash is ok." Misty says worried,"Who knows if they got to him first?"
They hear frantic running and turn to see Ash and Damien running towards them
"Ash!" Alex,Misty and Brock yell
Pikapi!
"Guys!" Ash stops and bends over while panting. Pikachu hops onto his shoulder,"Listen...Team Rocket...is...here..."
"We know." Alex replies,"Wait Damien where did you come from?"
"I've been here the whole time." Damien says,"Look it's a long story but to summarize there's an Articuno that Team Rocket was after and now it's unleashing a storm of ice and snow."
"Wait there's an Articuno?" Alex asks
"Not the point. We need to get off these islands." Damien says
They start running when Fearow suddenly slashes the air in front of them
"Woah!"
"Not so fast!" They turn and see Andrew has stumbled into the room. He is covered in frost and snow which flakes off as he walks. He glares at them furious,"I will not fail again! If I can't get Articuno then you'll have to suffice!"
"It's that guy who tried to blow up the Safari Zone!" Misty yells
"You ruined everything for me!" Andrew yells as he stumbles closer,"My reputation was destroyed! You'll pay! Fearow use Aerial Ace!"
Fearow dives towards them but Pikachu fires a Thunderbolt hitting Fearow head on

Fearow faints
"Useless!" Andrew returns his Fearow. He grabs another Pokeball,"Go Snorlax!"
A shiny Snorlax emerges from the Pokeball wide awake. It stares down at the Pokegang furious. Ash takes out his Pokedex and scans it
Snorlax the Sleeping Pokemon. A Normal type. Very lazy. Just eats and sleeps. As its rotund bulk builds, it becomes steadily more slothful. Snorlax is the evolved form of Munchlax. This Snorlax is Male
"This one doesn't look like it wants to sleep." Misty gulps
Snorlax steps closer and the ground shakes as it walks. Damien steps forward
"I'll handle this. Go Feraligatr!" He tosses his pokeball and Feraligatr pops out
Feraligatr!
"Becareful Damien." Ash warns him,"He's very tough."
Damien smirks,"I think we can handle it. Right Feraligatr?"
Feraligatr nods. Andrew clenches his fist
"You have no idea how long I've trained this Snorlax for!" Andrew snarls. "It's going to crush you and your pathetic Pokémon!"
"We'll see about that." Damien replies
"Snorlax use Body Slam!" Andrew yells and Snorlax jumps into the air before falling towards Feraligatr. However the Big Jaw Pokemon dives out of the way and Snorlax slams into the ground causing the battlefield to shake.
"Aqua Tail now!" Damien yells and a stream of water spirals around Feraligatr's tail. The water type rushes at Snorlax and spins around smacking it across the face with the water. Snorlax roars in pain but it's sheer size prevents it from being knocked backwards. It grabs Feraligatr and lifts it into the air
"Smash it!" Andrew yells,"Smash it into the ground over and over again!"
"Waterfall!"
A massive surge of water shoots out from Feraligatr's feet hitting Snorlax in the face. The water pushes Feraligatr out of Snorlax's grip and into the air where Feraligatr powers up a Hydro Pump
"Hyper Beam Snorlax!" Andrew yells and Snorlax fires the beam of energy. Feraligatr fires the powerful torrent of water and the two attacks meet in the middle. Feraligatr's Hydro Pump absolutely destroys the Hyper Beam and hits Snorlax with so much force that the Sleeping Pokemon is knocked to the ground. Andrew roars in fury as Feraligatr lands on the ground unharmed
"Snorlax use Rest!" Andrew yells and a pink aura surrounds Snorlax
"Not so fast! Feraligatr Superpower!" Damien yells and a blue aura surrounds Feraligatr. It's muscles start bulging and it grabs Snorlax's arm before hoisting it into the air
"No way..." Andrew's jaw drops shocked. Feraligatr roars and slams Snorlax into the ground so hard the entire battlefield shook. The impact sends a shockwave rippling through the floor, cracks spiderwebbing outward from the point of collision.
A stunned silence fills the air with the realization that Snorlax is done for.
Andrew takes a step back, his hands trembling. "Th-That's impossible…"
Damien smirked. "You done?"
Andrew returns his Snorlax in shock and fear. Ash,Alex,Brock,Misty and Pikachu are watching in shocked silence
"You...you..." Andrew suddenly turns and runs. Damien rolls his shoulders and returns Feraligatr. He turns towards the Pokegang
"You completely demolished him." Ash says shocked
"Yeah...that was brutal." Brock says
"And awesome." Alex says
Damien grins at them,"Ok let's get out of here. I'm getting sick of this place."
"Agreed." Misty says
As they prepare to leave,a sudden chill fills the air. A powerful gust of icy wind sweeps through the cavern,sending a flurry of snow and frost around them. They turn and their eyes widen in awe. On a ledge above them,perched in silence,is Articuno.
"It's Articuno." Misty says shocked
"Was it watching the whole time?" Brock asks
Articuno looks down at Damien who steps forward,"Articuno! Team Rocket interrupted me before I could issue my challenge!" He pulls out a pokeball,"I challenge you to a battle!"
Everyone looks at him shocked
"Seriously? You're gonna try and catch it?" Alex asks shocked
"I came here for Articuno in the first place." Damien says,"I have to atleast try. Do you accept Articuno?"
Articuno spreads it's wings and glides down to the battlefield. Damien smirks
"Alright then. Let's begin."
"I wonder which Pokemon he's gonna use?" Ash whispers to the others excited
Damien tosses his pokeball,"Go Typhlosion!"
The Pokeball burst open in a flash of light, and a large, powerful Typhlosion emerged onto the battlefield. Its flames erupted instantly, casting an intense orange glow through the cave.
"He has a Typhlosion too!" Ash yells shocked and pulls out his pokedex to scan it
Typhlosion the Volcano Pokemon. A fire type. If its rage peaks, it becomes so hot that anything that touches it will instantly go up in flames. Typhlosion is the evolved form of Quilava. This Typhlosion is Male
"Ash. Look at it's face." Alex says softly. Ash looks at Typhlosion and sees a large scar running diagonally across it's face
"That Typhlosion been in some tough situations." Brock says softly
"Let's do this Typhlosion! Flame Charge!" Damien yells and Typhlosion drops to all fours before charging towards Articuno. The flames on it's back enlarge causing fire to surround it's whole body. However Articuno takes flight before Typhlosion makes contact and then fires an Ice Beam down towards it. Typhlosion spins around and fires a Flamethrower melting the Ice Beam before it makes contact. It growls at Articuno threateningly. Articuno responds by flapping it's wings and causing a powerful gust of wind to burst from them and towards Typhlosion
"It's using Hurricane!" Brock yells
"Hold your ground Typhlosion!" Damien yells
Typhlosion plants its feet firmly, fire flaring around its body as it tries to resist the storm. But the sheer force of the wind pushed it back, claws scraping against the ice-covered floor.
"Man, Articuno is powerful," Alex muttered.
Damien grits his teeth,"Eruption!"
The flames on Typhlosion's back explodes towards Articuno in a geyser-like attack. Articuno tries to fly away but the attack strikes it's wing. It screeches in pain and plummets to the ground
"He got it!" Misty yells
"Now Flame Wheel!"
Flames surround Typhlosion in a ball like shape which rolls towards Articuno at a fast speed. Articuno looks up at the incoming attack and it's eyes start glowing blue. It spreads out it's wings and a power blizzard fires out from it striking Typhlosion. The Volcano Pokemon is frozen solid instantaneously
"Typhlosion!" Damien yells shocked
The ice shatters and Typhlosion collapses to the ground fainted. Everyone is stunned silent. Articuno flexes it's wings before taking flight once more. It flies out of the caverns. Damien raises his pokeball and returns Typhlosion,"Nice try buddy. We'll get it next time."
Damien turns to the others,"So are you guys ready to leave the Seafoam Islands?"
"Yes!" They all respond in unison
Pikachu!
Damien has led the group out of the caves and back to the surface. He has a speedboat docked nearby.
"This is how I got here." Damien says,"I'll drop you guys off at Vermilion City. I have to return this boat anyway."
"I can't wait to get back to civilization." Misty says as she's about to board the boat
Dewgong!
"Hmm?" They all turn towards the sound and see a Dewgong approaching them
"Hey it's the same Dewgong from before." Alex says
The Dewgong stops near Misty
Dew! Dewgong!
"Hi." Misty rubs Dewgong's head
Gong
"Aw. Do you want to come with us huh?" Misty asks
Dew! Dewgong! Dewgong!
"Alright then." Misty takes out her pokeball and gently taps it against the Dewgong's head. It gets sucked in and caught,"I caught Dewgong!"
Sometime later
Andrew emerges from the cave. He is weak and severly injured. He is clutching a device in his hand. He hears it ringing and glances down to see Giovanni trying to contact him. He tosses it away
"No more."
