When he got to the door he almost cursed. He'd entirely forgotten about the key. Pausing a moment, he listened in to see if Lucy was there, before stopping. Even if she was, what was he supposed to do, knock? Hell no. And given the room she would be in, it wasn't as if he could wave at her through a window to let him in. (Not that he would be caught dead doing that near here). With no other means of communication beyond full-on yelling, he found himself once again stuck outside.

Cobra sighed and went to lean against the doorframe. His plan to stare despondently at the sky at his cruel fate, however, backfired as his lean transitioned to a trust fall, with his partner (the door) giving way. In a panic he flailed for anything to hold onto but came up short, managing not to hit his head only by twisting to land on his side at the last moment. Once he finished groaning he stared at the door in shock. Not only was it not locked, but not even closed enough to stop his body weight from pushing it open. In a flash, he listened throughout the entire building for an intruder, blood beginning to simmer at the very idea. Only one person's mind could be heard inside though, and it was a familiar one. He let out a sigh of relief before standing up.

Cobra nervously glanced around and coughed, although hardly anyone was around. The one or two who were didn't even look his way, despite the early morning clatter. Embarrassed, he pretended to dust himself off and strolled inside, making sure to close the door and lock it properly this time.

If it hadn't been for the job ahead of him he could have easily said that it was the most embarrassing stunt he'd done all week.
