Monster High: Everyday life with Monsters and Kaiju Chapter 30: We're the Monstars, a Monster High + Godzilla Crossover fanfic

Headmistress Bloodgood Pov:

"Talk about a frightful display of teamwork and determination amongst the racers. Everyone watched on their Icoffins how ferocious their friends were on the road and using their equipment to outmaneuver one another. Hopefully, the other schools will be motivated to send their students to Monster High to show that this isn't all about getting into trouble and dramatic moments happening, but about building new friendships and teaching the next generation of monsters and kaiju. Godzilla Junior is a prime example since he stayed hidden from the public for sixteen years and went on as a musician. Who has now taken his position as the new king over his people, especially Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Frankie who have proven themselves as students who can change the old ways. If they can do so much during their stay at Monster High, I imagine other students doing the same if they gave our school a chance."

Night Time-Monster High

A victory party was going underway For Deuce, Mira, Manny, and Iris Clops after winning the first race of Extreme Skulltimate Racing. There were tables, chairs, and a large variety of meals placed out for everyone to enjoy since the racers gave their all for the chance to win. Right at the winner's table was the Mythology Quartet who was being interviewed by Spectra Vondergeist and reporters from the other monster schools that came to attend the event.

"Congratulations on your frightful win over the racers of Extreme Skulltimate Racing. Here's a question for Mira who bested not only Junior but Ghidorah and Kali Kong, two Kaiju students who are considered the only ones to fight him for the right to become the new leader of the Kaiju. Do you plan on using this win to become the queen of the kaiju?"

The ghost asked the divine mother if she'd be interested in taking Junior's position as ruler since it would result in not that many challenges coming her way since she's the daughter of a goddess. Mira shook her head at the response showing no interest in becoming the new ruler.

"I'm fine with being myself at the moment. So far he's done pretty alright as king when it came to keeping kaiju fights at school to a minimum and was willing to handle the responsibilities. Also, he has friends to help him out."

She responded to Spectra and the others about her not taking Junior's position to lead the kaiju since Mira wanted to remain her ordinary self and spend time with her friends. This sparked various questions from the reporters about whether any of them were interested in becoming actual players in the new sport. They looked over at Manny who had the body and strength to become an experienced Extreme Skulltimate Racer.

"Actually? Me and Iris have decided to a program to invite mythology students to Monster High. Most of them haven't been around an ordinary school because of their abilities, we believe that Monster High is the best place to help them with who they are."

The minotaur spoke out about what he and his cyclops ghoulfriend would be doing since they did it to help Deuce win the race. This left the gorgon to be the last one to be interviewed as his snakes wanted to speak out, Deuce stopped them so they didn't save anything he might regret.

"Deuce, everyone wants to ask about your relationship starting back up. How are you feeling now that you're back with Cleo De Nile?"

One of the students questioned Deuce on how it felt being back with the mummy ghoul and making up for lost time. Without having the chance to answer, they heard a low growl coming from behind the interviewers as it came from Caesar. Cleo's friend and bodyguard happened to notice the interview happening. Coming from behind was Cleo herself who walked beside Deuce and hugged him from behind since it showed he was content with his relationship.

"Let's just say we're spending more time than ever. As well as planning to visit Boo York during the summer, try to make amends for what happened. If anything else, I think everyone should enjoy the party. Including all of you."

Deuce suggested to everyone that instead of asking questions about their lives and wanted them to enjoy themselves since it was a special occasion that won't happen again. Taking his advice and putting their phones away, the monsters decided to enjoy the afterparty and talk amongst each other rather than focus on the winner's plans for the future.

"Seeing you giving out commands to people shows why I decided to date you. You have a way with words, plus. Your snakes are adorable when I pet them."

Cleo compliments her gorgon boyfriend and petting his snake hair which hissed at admiration for her hooking up with Deuce again. Just as the table decided to enjoy themselves, there was another where Junior and the others were sitting as they were having a conversation with Dracula and Headmistress Bloodgood about bringing in Queen Megaguirus into the reason.

"It wasn't an easy feat in convincing a giant dragonfly to offer her service to the race since she was itching to feed us to her hatchlings. However, one of her children had started to gain sentient knowledge and speech. So, we offered her daughter to attend Monster High free of charge in exchange for her help with Skulltimate Racing."

Bloodgood explained that in her obligation to become the last in the race, their headmistress gave Megaguirus's son a free entrance to Monster High without needing to pay for anything. The table looked over to see the queen accompanying her daughter, Megan. An insect ghoul Kaiju who was sitting amongst Rochelle and Methuselah as the trio was given a welcome celebration from Heath and the others from his vehicle since they'd show the new students what life was like at Monster High.

"Where's Gorey and Moanica? Those ghouls weren't exactly interested in winning but taking out the others on the track."

Draculaura asked her father what he and the others did with the two and their Kaiju friends because they had witnessed firsthand that the four were prepared to remove Junior to dominate the Kaiju and become popular. Her father, who was aware that she had inquired, pulled out his Icoffin and played a video of his guards watching over them while they cleaned the corridors for their shady race tactics, assisted by Toralei and Ghidorah.

"They won't be bothering anyone for a while with the detention that Bloodgood had given them. As well as remove any ideas of them going after your boyfriend and the others, besides. I can't have my future family be in danger all the time."

Her father spoke out about looking after his daughter's partners and wanting to protect them from any harm whether they were at school or hanging out since Draculaura was protective of them as much as they were to her. She felt embarrassed by the compliment which grew with the others smiling at how her father was right. Just as they continued talking amongst themselves, Clawdeen looked over at another table where her siblings were talking with Kali Kong about what she felt during the race.

"It's alright if you want to visit them. We're going be right here."

Junior encouraged the werewolf to hang out with her siblings since he didn't know how Kali would react to losing since he didn't win the race. Clawdeen thanked him before getting up from her chair and walking over to Kali's table to see how things were going. The ape ghoul noticed Clawd's sister coming over and welcomed her to sit with them.

"So. What did you think about the race?"

Clawdeen asked nervously about Kali Kong's first thrilling experience at Monster High and learning what it's like when the school has an event that allows anyone to participate and let out their inner monster. Kali grunts at the outcome of the race of losing the race, yet it doesn't stop the ape from smiling at the excitement she has gone through.

"It was alright. It's the second time I lost a fight to Junior, which doesn't count since we all lost. It just makes me interested in another competition I plan on beating him at when something comes up."

Kali responded to the idea of challenging Junior again without thinking about taking his throne but proving she was stronger than him. Taking a chance to sit by her siblings, they heard laughter coming from the side where they saw Shimo interacting with Rochelle and Methuselah as she wanted to thank them for saving her brother.

"But I hate to admit it. This place does have its charms when the excitement is over."

The ape ghoul followed up how there was something special when everyone was at ease with nothing to do and enjoying each other's company. Just as the festivities kept going, they noticed a group of monsters and kaiju coming over to the stage where Catty Noir was standing over a microphone wanting to say a few words. Clawdeen and the others got up from their seats to join their friends since they were curious as to what the werecat celebrity would say.

"When I was invited to help start the race for everyone at Monster High and the other schools who were invited as well. I'd never expect what the outcome would be, luckily I didn't need to because there was one thing I was assured of. Whoever runs would represent the unity of what Monster High stands for, which no one could do best but for the Mythology Quartet."

Congratulating Deuce, Mira, Iris, and Manny for managing to make it past the finish line despite the obstacles they were in front of them. The group applauded the four for their win and represented that cooperation since it was a surprise that they would be the ones to win Extreme Skulltimate Racing.

"While everyone can question about how Monster High operates, you can't say that it's dull. Which is why I'm going to take a break from tour to attend the school, learn what it's like to be around monsters and Kaiju who have an exciting life than being a musician."

Announcing her application to join Monster High made the crowd go crazy with her attending the school with everyone. Catty felt surprised at being welcomed like this since she wanted to know what made this place stand out in the monster and kaiju community. With that being announced, the werecat heard footsteps coming from behind her as they came from a skeleton band armed with drums and other instruments. Leading them was Junior who was holding his father's guitar as he planned on doing a welcoming party for her and the winners.

"Musician? Sorry Catty, but if anyone is going to have that title. It's going be the king."

Junior responded to being the singer which made Catty Noir smirk at the lizard thinking he could be better than her. The werecat snapped her fingers changing the lights around the stage to the color of her clothes which surprised everyone as they were going to see a music battle happen before them. The lizard smiled at Catty Noir wanting to beat him as he started playing the guitar to get the show started.

"It's time to celebrate. Now, how do you boo?"

He questioned Catty as she took the mic off the stand and threw it to the side where several assistants caught it in time. Her fans cheered the werecat on to support her challenging Godzilla Junior, however the two cared about putting on a show for everyone at Monster High.

"We are, we are, we are. We're the monstars, monstars! We are, we are, we are. Come on, let's dance the fright away! We are, we are, we are. We're the monstars, monstars. We are, we are, we are. Come on, let's dance the fright away!"

They sang at the same time, which inspired everyone to hit the dancefloor and enjoy the music the two musicians were playing. Clawdeen brought Howleen and Suko over to join the dancing with everyone, leaving Kali and Clawd to watch since they didn't seem interested in dancing but wanted to see the performance.

"Stepping on the scene and I'm feeling real good. I'm just being me just like a monster should. Let's have a good time, live your life out loud. Visionaries, legendary. Bring that monster out!"

Junior called out as he let out a roar to the Kaiju to let out their inner monster out. The first one to do it was Rhodey as he took into the air to light up the night with his flames, several other flying Kaiju followed after to light up the sky with variant colors which had the audience applause the light show.

"Every one of us is different so be who you are. Monstars, yeah we're monstars. Come on out and just be confident, don't hide in the dark. Monstars, yeah we're monstars."

Catty called out to everyone who was hiding in the shadows to come out to enjoy the party and be a part of the moment. Clawd felt he should join in on the fun when he saw Howleen and Suko dancing with the others as they were enjoying the music together. The wolf boy looked at Kali Kong who despite wanting to enjoy the party decided to keep to herself, it didn't work for Clawd as he pulled the former leader of Skull Kingdom off the chair and wanted to dance with her.

"Hello, how are you? Now tell me, how do you boo? Hello, how are you? Now come on, come on let's move."

Clawd started to sing to Kali as he displayed a few dance moves for her to try out so it was easy to copy. The ape ghoul saw how Clawd wanted to help out as she was noticed by everyone to try and dance with the werewolf. Kali took it slow with her feet moving from left to right as the girl didn't know how to dance, she soon saw Clawd holding her hands and dancing with her which made Kali nervous.

"Hello, how are you? Tell you what we're gonna do. You tell me how do you boo. Now tell me, how do you boo. How do you, how do you, how do you. Boo!"

She called out before spinning Clawd around and throwing the werewolf into the which caught everyone's attention. Noticing everyone from above him, Clawd thought he'd be caught by Rhodey and Mira who were in the air and stretching their wings. Only for the werewolf to fall back to the ground for Kali to catch him as it made everyone cheer for the dance they did for the crowd.

Junior and Catty Noir continued their song as they saw their friends enjoying the celebration. Frankie looked over at Shimo who was nervous about participating, the reanimated ghoul brought the ice lizard over as they didn't know how to react to the music.

"Now come on, everybody, let's go have a blast. Something like a celebration, so come on, let's dance. Let's have a good time, gonna make'em scream. We all got something that's special, be yourself, know what I mean?"

Frankie started to sing and inspire Shimo to cut loose as the ice lizard started to do so with her swinging her tail. Watching Junior's sister starting to have fun, they didn't notice Draculaura and Clawdeen walking over to look at Shimo and the new students enjoying the party. The trio looked over seeing Junior doing his performance with Catty as they never imagined something like this happening at Monster High.

"Every one of us is different so be who you are. Monstars, yeah we're monstars. Come on out and just be confident, don't hide in the dark. Monstars, yeah we're monstars."

The king of Kaiju told everyone to be confident in themselves and not to hide in the shadows anymore. The more she heard her brother and Catty singing about being confident, Shimo's scales started to glow vibrantly as they caught the crowd's attention. Just like Whenever Junior got mad, his scales would emit a glow which would show he was ready to fire a blast from his mouth. Shimo appeared to do the opposite as she was enjoying herself due to the positivity around her.

"We're gonna dance, dance, dance the fright away!"

She announced before stomping her feet to the ground which caused Shimo to use her ice powers on the party. Instead of freezing everyone and ruining everything, Shimo had given the party a winter theme with everything covered in ice and giving her friends the same treatment as their clothes became winter themed. Unsure of how to react to this ability, Junior strummed his guitar as he enjoyed the change and continued the performance with Catty Noir as the werecat embraced the new look that Shimo had given her.

The two performers finished their song in a pose with Junior and Catty raising the microphone and guitar in the air for everyone as they were praised for their duet. With their performance finished, everyone at Monster High continued to enjoy the party and prepared for what would come to everyone in the days to come.

Later-Toralei's Room

While everyone outside was enjoying the victory party, Toralei and the other racers who didn't play safe had finished cleaning up and were allowed to return to their dorms. The werecat had invited Ghidorah to her room since his third head Ikari, was having a fit about Junior's sister having the same power that could enable her to rule over the Kaiju.

"It's not enough that we can't win a simple race. Now, we have to deal with another Gojira child that can turn this realm into an ice age."

He spoke out as the aggressive head snapped his jaws like an animal wanting to lash out at anyone who saw Shimo's display of her ice powers. Ghidorah and Kevin sigh at their brother's frustration since despite their father being gone, the need to be better than Junior was a difficult feeling to get rid of.

"Will get another chance. Sure, it'll be difficult since the school loves Junior and the ghouls since they save the school like every month. It doesn't mean we don't have to stop; I mean who else wants to take a shot at the crown?"

Toralei asked Ghidorah that nobody would have the tenacity and determination that the three-headed dragon had unlike the other Kaiju in the school had. However, the werecat noticed a look on Kevin's face that showed otherwise.

"Moanica and Megalon. Their examples of creatures of hunger for power, they'll likely to inspire others to do the same. And the other schools will do the same but with different tactics. If our so-called 'king' and his friends don't truly act like Gojira. Then they'll be destroyed before they can make the first move."

Ghidorah explained that the zombie and beetle Kaiju's stunt would inspire others to target Junior and the others. Although it wasn't Toralei's habit to get scared, the idea of other students coming to Monster High to take out Junior and the ghouls in hopes of becoming rulers of the realm unnerved her. The two of them walked outside where a party was taking place, and they could see the principals of other monster schools conversing with Headmistress Bloodgood about the possibility of transferring their students to Monster High. It left the two to mentally prepare for whoever might come, whether they wanted to get an education at their school or to take the chance and become the new ruler of the Kaiju realm.
