Enter The Other Father: Ch.23

.
After ending his call with Minako, Mikey looked over to the side to stare at the wall before he remembered something. He sat up straight before running out his room to find the nearest brother he could run into.
Mikey found Leo.
"Woah, what's up hermano?"
"Leo!" Mikey grinned as he hugged his brother tightly to only let go a second later.
Leo narrowed his eyes at his youngest brother's odd behavior. "What's up," he repeated more slowly.
"I need you to come with me to see Barry," Mikey said.
"You mean the guy who threw me off the roof?"
"I mean our other father." Mikey gave Leo the biggest puppy eyes in the world.
Leo sighed as he reluctantly agreed with a nod of his head. "Grab your phone in case mine dies or something."
"YES! THANK YOU~"
Leo's sigh turned into an airy laugh at how egar his brother was.
Mikey zoomed into his room only to zoom back to Leo. All in three seconds.
Leo rolled his eyes when he noticed Mikey was waving his phone around as if he were in a concert. His gaze softened after remembering the events prior. Leo wanted to believe him but…'Now's not the time,' the blue banded turtle decided in his head.
"You ready, Angelo?"
"Ready as I'll ever be, Lee!"
"Genial," Leo said as he grabbed his little brother's arm to walk side by side with him out the lair.
.
.
.
As Leo and Mikey were jumping about the rooftops of New York they began to talk nonsense about this and that. Their combined ADHD never left them without a subject to discuss. When suddenly Mikey stopped jumping and talking.
"Uhh, hermano," Leo asked worriedly as he stoped to stand infront of him. "Why'd you stop?" Leo gestured to poke the youngers left cheek as if he were a baby. "Did you leave your legs at tha lair? Because all I see is nubs~," he mocked.
Mikey looked up at him with unamusment while he swatted away his hand. "Suck a dick."
"Trust me, I wish I could," Leo said dreamingly.
"Uh that's not…anyways I got a question."
Leo eyes widened slightly. He bowed down like a guard infront of a royal as he spoke in a British accent: "Oh please do tell! How may I please your mind, mi' lord?"
Mikey couldn't help but laugh at how stupid his brother was being. "Arise, peasant!"
"Whatever you say," Leo breathed as he stood up properly. "So what's up? You got a question, I got an answer!" He proclaimed as he pointed his thumb to his chest.
"Uh huh. I just want to confirm something…what does Ōji-sama mean? Just really quick I wanna know."
"Prince? Yeah, it means Prince," Leo answered with confusion. "Why?"
"I dunno. Asking for a friend," Mikey shrugged while he started walking away. "Come on slow poke!"
"Slow?! You're the one you stopped us," Leo yelped as he ran forward to catch up to Mikey.
"I wish I hadn't," Mikey murmured. 'So my suspicions were true. How great. All this brings is more confusion!'
Leo narrowly stared at Mikey. "You know you can tell me anything, right? I'll do my best to understand."
Mikey smiled weekly. "I know. But I honestly think I've said too much. If V is anything to go by."
Leo's walking slowed before speeding up again. "Who's V?"
"Oh! She's like so funny and nice! You'd love her," Mikey told him with a bright smile as he beamed up at Leo.
Leo nodded and stroked his chin like is he had a beard. "Is she…one of the girls who needed help?"
"She was. I won't say her real name for confidentiality."
Leo raised a non-existent eyebrow.
"I learnt that word from Dee," Mikey whispered.
"Ah. Makes sense."
"Yup! And because of that confidentiality, you can only know her code name. Venus. But you also can know that you and her have the sameish humor."
"Cool," Leo says with covered uncertainty.
"Maybe next time we call you can pop in and say hi," Mikey suggested. 'This faker doesn't believe me, does he?'
Nope. Not from my perspective* the voice replied.
"Suena como un plan," Leo chuckled in response to Mikey's idea for talking to Minako.
Mikey nodded while he smiled at his brother. After a while he focused on his thoughts.
'…You're back, love star?'
I am. My sister needed help with political training and whatnot.*
'Hm. Now why do I feel like you're lying too?'
I…* the voice stuttered. He almost sounded scared. Which was strange because Mikey had barely said anything. *Oi, whatever you're thinking, stop it* the voice yelped.
'I don't know what you-'
"What is she like?"
Mikey flinched. "What?"
"This Venus. What does she look like," Leo clarifies.
"She's blonde. She has dark blue eyes. Uhh, she's Japanese. She has this cat, Artemis. He's…quieter than Luna."
"Luna?"
"Another friends cat," is all Mikey replied. "Luna and Artemis have a daughter. A cute kitty named Diana. I feel bad for her though. She's constantly ignored from what she's told me."
Leo blinked multiple times. "She's a Yokai?"
"In a way," Mikey replied with another shrug, his voice stretching the syllables. "But I honestly think it's deeper than that."
Leo nodded. 'Now that makes sense. Yokai magic. He was taken by Yokais,' Leo thought. "What kind of Yokai is Venus?"
"What? V isn't a Yokai. She's human…well now she is. Not so much in the future but even then she's still not a Yokai," Mikey said.
"Wait so all of the girls with magic were human?"
"And Mamo!"
"Uh huh. And Mamo?"
"Ding ding ding! You are correeeccctttt! Now is that something hard to believe? Remember our entire Hamto heritage is built off of humans with magical powers," Mikey remarked as he put down his jazz hands.
"Well duh," Leo scoffed. "But…what source does their magic come from? Or I'm mean…who gave them powers?"
Mikey didn't respond—just stopped walking. "We need to get down. That's the building comeplex of April and Barry."
.
.
.
"Boys," a house clothed April questioned while holding a garbage bag as she stood outside her closed door.
Leo and Mikey shared a look before Mikey stepped forward. "Hiya Apes! We were just heading to see Barry!"
"And I see you were heading to the garbage dump," Leo noted with a grin as he leaned on Mikey. "It's nice you see you going to your natural habitat once and a while, April!"
April nodded, unfazed by Leo's dramatic flare. "Ah, yes I was on my way to the dump." She paused. "Why do you need to see Baron Draxum? Does it have something to do with The Heroes?"
"No? … Why? Has something happened," Mikey fretted.
"Chillax hermano! They would've told us if something was wrong," Leo assured. He placed a calming hand on Mikey's shoulder.
"For real. Morales would've told you something in a heartbeat. All I was saying is that no one has heard from them since you left," April told Mikey.
"I see," Leo murmured as he looked at his younger brother with worry--something he has been doing quite a lot.
"I have a feeling Barry would know why," Mikey grumbled while he began to run up the next flight of stairs. He stopped to look back at his siblings (idc is it's not biological, April is their sister. Fight me). "Leo, stay with April. I think I need to talk to Barry alone."
Leo scrunched his face. "You sure?"
"We can come with you," April suggested as she also similarly had scrunched her own face out of worry. "Just give me a moment to-"
Mikey shook his head. "No thank you. You two just hang out. I probably won't be long. Promise!"
"If you say so," both Leo and April shrugged as they skipped down together to throw away the garbage.
They switched up quickly.*
"Yup! Your bipolar is showing," Mikey yelled after them and was hit with a reply of laughter. Mikey smirked to himself in response.
He waited a couple seconds until they were gone before he started walking up the stairs more.
You did the right thing.*
Mikey blinked. 'Excuse me? What do you mean?'
You know? With getting them to leave? You and Baron Draxum will need privacy* the voice chuckled knowingly.
'Oh.' Mikey nodded to himself in agreement. 'Privacy sounds good.'
Of course it does. I'm the one who suggested it!*
'But of course,' Mikey mocked with sarcasm he inherited from Donatello or he got from one of his alter egos (Dr. Delicate Touch).

Knock
Knock
Knock
"What," Baron Draxum hissed as he opened his front door with a bored glint in his eyes.
He wore a teal rope and a pink bonnet that matched his hot pink slippers (Mikey gave him them). Basically, he looked snug.
"Oh," Draxum's gaze softened, "it's you."
Mikey sheepishly grinned. "It's me! May I come in?"
Draxum gave a grunt for a response as he moved inside the apartment to give the young Yokai room to enter.
"Leo was supposed to be here but I assigned him to April."
"Assigned," Draxum asked, amused.
"More like diagnosed," Mikey chuckled.
That made the old (ish) man laugh.
/The two sat down at his breakfast table to talk./
"What bring you here, li…big one?"
"Uh, I kinda need guidance?" Mikey asked. He heard the slip up but didn't mention it.
"For," Draxum inquired.
"Well I'm confused," Mikey began. He paused, trying to find the right words
"Take your time," Draxum said as gentle as former Shredder could be.
"Okay." Mikey breathed in and out. "Promise you won't think I'm crazy? Or delusional like that one time I believed my fish was haunting me? Still kinda do…"
"Oh right, the red one told me that," Draxum shook his head fondly. "I am a mystic ex villain scientist. Nothing is crazy to me. Speak your mind, child."
"Don't say I didn't warn ya'!"
.
.
.
"And ever since I got back this voice wouldn't stop or go away," Mikey complained.
The voice mimicked Mikey. *Whine whine whine. That's all you do!*
Mikey rolled his eyes.
Draxum was silent for a moment. "I'm sorry."
Mikey leaned forward. "Huh? Why? What for?"
"For not telling you."
"Telling me what?"
"That I knew," Baron Draxum admitted.
"Knew how much exactly," Mikey asked questionably and with suspicion.
"A bit. You're friend, Usagi and her cat advisor came to me for mystical purposes. They were curious about certain things. I don't think they realized I knew you until later," Draxum said. "They told me about you."
"Really," Mikey asked as he perked up.
"They were worried you wouldn't emerge. I told them you needed time. Even I knew that before Turing a new leaf. Time is precious and you need that, but I see you have a limited amount now," Draxum explained.
"I don't understand," Mikey told him while he pouted.
"You don't have to. What matters know is understanding why that voice is in your head."
Because I want to be.*
"Because he want to be," Mikey recited. "That's what he said."
"Hm. He must know you in the future," Draxum decided with a shrug.
"Does that mean I become Sun Knight again," Mikey asked.
Draxum nodded. "That's my theory." 'Or maybe you just take over the Sun,' he said to himself very sassily.
"That makes sense. He once said that I was too early for something. I think that means I do that something in like a year?"
"Perhaps it's a battle that calls for you to transform once more," Draxum suggested.
"Maybe," Mikey agreed.
I can tell you you're on the right track but your not even close to the truth* the voice warned with a childish giggle.
"The voice said we're close to the truth or something," Mikey deadpanned.
"I honestly think you should let the truth come to you instead of chasing it."
"Really? You want me to be patient with this?!"
"Yes. Yes I do."
Mikey groaned. "Uuuggghhhhhhh- whyyyyy? Why do I have to wait when I feel like I can know now!"
Baron Draxum shook his head. "Knowledge is not something you can take. Just like power. Trust me, I know."
Mikey looked up and saw that Draxum was looking at him with sympathy. "What?"
"I know you want to know but now is not the time. Now, there is peace. Villains are not attacking much, you've returned from battle unscathed. You are asking for disbalance when you don't have to," Draxum stated. "Go home. Or go out, even. Be a teenager. Embrace this era of peace."
"…You're right. I'm looking for trouble that's not even there," Mikey realized. "If the senshi didn't want to tell me it must've been for good reason."
"Well said," Draxum smiled as he patted Mikey's head (kinda awkwardly).
"Thanks for the help, Barry," Mikey thanked. He embraced Draxum into a skull crushing hug, making the older Yokai yelp softly. "You're the best!"
"I know."
"Hahahaha!"
After a few moments of laughter Draxum cleared his throat. "Was there anything else you wanted to ask me?"
"OH YEAH! The Heroes! They haven't been in contact with us," Mikey cried as he shook Draxum back and forth.
"Maybe it has something to do with you being needed in the future," Draxum stated as he calmly pushed Mikey away from him.
"Why though?"
"I think you have an idea."
"Wha-"
The cat.*
'HOLY PIZZA LORD THE CAT!'
Oh Phoebus…*
"I do know! A while back I saw Artemis walk out of the hero lair. Marie said he comes and goes a little!"
"There you go."
"There I go," Mikey cheered. "This means they also know stuff!"
Draxum sweatdroped. "I thought we agreed you would be patient with the truth?"
Mikey went into his shell slightly. "Well yeah but some inside information couldn't hurt, right?"
"I suppose."
"Great! So I'll go meet Marie," Mikey declared as he stood up and frantically waved his goodbyes. "See ya Barry!"
"See you Michelangelo. Remember to give the truth time to resurface in its own time!"
"I will!"
.
.
.
"Mike," April asked from her window once Mikey was just leaving out of the apartment complex. Literally, he was five feet away from the door. "Where ya goin'?"
"Oh, I'm going to Miriam's house," Mikey explained.
"Why," she asked.
"Just 'cause," Mikey shrugged. "Where's Leo?"
"Taking a shit I assume."
"Oh! TMI…" Mikey winced as April laughed. "I'll be back though!"
"Promise," April said with a small pout.
"I promise. Scouts honor," Mikey swore with a salute. "Now I gotta hurry so I can get back faster!"
"Logic" the both murmured in unison.
Mikey scoffed playfully. "Bye!"
"See you soon," April yelled as she waved form her window while Mikey waved back as he walked backwards. "Stay safe!"
"Right back atcha!"
"Oh trust me, danger runs from me," April giggled.
"What in the main character moment," Leo grumbled.
"Never say anything like that again or I'll twist your fingers. Also, you're back? How was your shit?"
Leo blushed. "You bitch! You know I wasn't pooping!"
April shook her head fondly and mockingly at the same time. "I never said you were pooping," she tisked, "I said you were shiting."
"APRIL," Leo yelped as he covered his flushed green face.
"LEO," April yelled back before the two both started to laugh.
"Wait…" Leo started with realization in his voice, "where's Mikey?"
"With Miriam. Or at least he will be."
"Oh. Cool, cool."
"You don't believe him do you?"
Leo looked at April with confusion.
"You think he made up the whole future and not conceived daunting dating her dad and all that bs," April clarifies.
"Exactly! It's bs!"
"Doesn't mean it's not true. Our relationship is bs."
"That's dosent count," Leo pouted.
"It doesn't," April questioned. "How is this any different? Our lives are strange as fuck and now Mikey says something strange and you forget that you are a flipping ninja turtle who can teleport and is trilingual?!"
"April darling stop screaming at poor Leonardo," April's mother Valeria scolded. "Can't you see he's struggling within himself? Don't get involved in things you don't know."
Now it was Aprils turn to blush.
"No, no. Your daughter is right. Mikey's explanation isn't that far fetched," Leo admitted sheepishly.
"Have you told Michelangelo that," Valeria asked with a tilt of her head.
"No. But I will," Leo promised.
"Good, don't keep unnecessary drama in your life. That shit eats you alive like a damn cannibal."
"Now who's getting involved," an April with her arms crossed over her chest hissed under her breath.
"April O'Neil," Valeria said in a warning tone as he eyes narrowed into a glare.
"Sorry mama," April murmured quickly but quietly.
Leo couldn't help but laugh.
"Who you laughing at boy? Don't think I'm on your side," Valeria said as she huffed and walked away to do whatever she was doing prior.
"…"
"Wanna order pizza," April suggested.
"Yeah."
"I'll grab my credit card you grab your phone."
"On it big sis!"
