Kett on Biloun
The first step for anything starts with nervous hands. Things are uneasy right now, but the crew of the Spirit Star see their duty clear. They need to stop the kett and ensure everyone that peace is coming to Heleus. Though the kett are back with a new species, Johnson looks at the map and studies the first destination; the journey starts on Biloun in the Togessan system. The Spirit Star flies them to the planet as Jim keeps everyone slightly annoyed and happy with his pilot manners.
He says, "Good afternoon, everyone. This is your captain speaking. The Spirit Sar will be experiencing bad space conditions due to remains of the scourge. But, if you look out to your left, you will see some nice space rocks and debris floating by as we touch down on Biloun soon. ETA thirty minutes."
As Johnson walks to the armory, he sees who will join him on his first mission against the kett for Biloun. Chris and Groax are loading up their weapons; however, Covina and Laura stand ready to provide fire support. Before anyone says a word, they all look to Johnson to see who he takes with him. Johnson looks to Groax and Covina for fire support while Laura and Chris keep order aboard the ship.
A. Paragon Option: We are ready for this.
B. Neutral Option: This isn't going to be easy.
C. Renegade Option: I lead; you follow.
Johnson says, "The kett won't know what hit em."
Groax replies, "You damn right. I hope there is a lot to shoot at."
Covina scoffs at him, "Keep your eyes on the mission, krogan."
They walk to the front of the ship and get a view of Biloun. It still interesting to see a satellite is floating above a planet that was not meant to have any city and homes built on it. Now it is flourishing and thriving. Jim guides the ship through orbit; they see mountains everywhere with towers and outposts on top. They receive an alert from the air patrols as they are escorted to the landing zone. Johnson, Groax, and Covina go to the airlock as Jim lands the ship. It didn't take long before a small security unit is waiting outside of the ship. Upon stepping outside, they are met with a plethora of security agents, people, and onlookers waiting to see what they will do next. The security lead steps to Johnson with her badge name, Lucy, showing.
Lucy asks, "This ship is interesting. Who are you? Why are you here?
A. Paragon Choice: Official sanction by the leaders.
B. Neutral Choice: Official business for the alliance.
C. Renegade Choice: None of your business.
Johnson answers, "I am here on behalf of the Syndicate and Nexus leaders. There has been a disturbance in Heleus caused by the kett. We came here to search and eliminate them."
Lucy is surprised by Johnson's honesty, but she requires more from him. Johnson presents his seal that showed the alliance symbol on it. Though the symbol is overlapping with the Nexus and Syndicate style, it is enough. Lucy orders the security to stand down and let them pass as she stays with them to question his reason for searching.
She asks, "You say the kett are back? That sounds impossible to believe. Where did you get this information?"
Groax steps to Lucy, "It is our business, not yours. You can stand back, squishy human."
Covina comes between them, "You'll have to forgive our krogan friend here. He has issues with humans minus the one he is following."
A. Paragon Choice: Tell the truth.
B. Neutral Choice: Create a cover up.
C. Renegade Choice: Lie to her.
Johnson replies, "We didn't want to be believe the kett are back either; they attacked us on a planet called TOS-51. After that incident, the leaders of the Syndicate and Nexus ordered us to find any kett. They granted me the rank and title to hunt them down."
Lucy is at a loss for words, but she believes him. Despite the kett being back, Lucy informs them of what is going on.
She says, "I understand you have your own mission, but I gotta tell you. This isn't the best time for you to be here on Biloun. Right now, there is a problem at a mining facility. We have a crime boss that needs to be arrested, and on top of that, there is a possible smuggling ring going on. I would provide you assistance, but I'm short on reinforcements right now. Not many people want to help us security guys."
Covina comes to Lucy and says, "I understand. I am…well, I was an Apex member. They only send reinforcements to places controlled by the Nexus. So, if you want, we can help with some of your problems. In return, you help us out with the kett issue. And don't worry, we will keep it quiet."
Lucy smiles softly and grants them access to the city. She guides them through the checkpoint and allows them to retain their weapons. Johnson informs Jim that they are to stay aboard the ship unless they are shopping in the city. The name is Araponaz; the city was created within a massive mountain and has others connected by trains across the planet. The first portion of Araponaz is has a wonderful view. Within the mountain, they managed to build a small enclave that holds up to fifty people. The shops are bright with lights while the people are walking to their next area; some are mine workers with dust and dirt on their clothes. A few civilians walk by with papers in hand, discussing over the future development of Araponaz.
Johnson and his team take a stroll through the market; they ask around about the latest in news, rumors, and policies. It turns out the smuggling ring, the crime boss, and the mining problem are the important ones. The mines are an issue because of rare minerals that no one can find; the crime boss is supposedly trying to bribe security and others to resume his activities. Lastly, the smuggling ring is still unknown to many, but there are a few who know of it. After sightseeing is done, the team comes to the office of Lucy. Most of the security agents are moving through the mountains while a few monitors the screens for more crime.
Lucy says, "Welcome to the main branch of security. From here, we see and know a lot. The only problem is the crime boss Victor. Ever since he came here, that salarian bastard has been using his influence to keep certain people off his back and possibly paying others. Now, there are problems at the mine that we don't have anyone to spare for an investigation. I would like to help, but I need someone to help us out and maybe things will get done around here."
A. Paragon Option: Let me help you.
B. Neutral Option: You need some aid.
C. Renegade Option: Do your own job.
Johnson says, "If you like, we can help your security out with the problems of Araponaz."
Groax interrupts, "Hold on, why are we helping? This isn't our problem."
Covina replies, "How about you shut up? The security agents need assistance here."
A. Paragon Choice: We may get more help from them.
B. Neutral Choice: This can prove useful later.
C. Renegade Choice: This isn't our problem.
Johnson answers, "If we can help them with their problem, then things will be easier for us, and they may be able to find kett with us."
Lucy smiles and hands them a piece of paper, "This is the place of where you can start asking questions. As for the mine, I'll take you there later when you complete these tasks. Help us stop the smuggling and find dirt on Victor."
Johnson gladly takes the paperwork and looks over it. Groax is anxious to use his cannon on anyone that oppose them. They leave Lucy's office and head to the train; the first part of their tasks is dealing with the smuggling ring and crime boss. From the main mountain to the second mountain, they come to see a similar foundation. The only difference is how less security presence is at the new mountain. There are hired gunmen standing around as they clear a path for Victor to come through. There are turians, krogans, and batarians standing around as they keep the people nervous.
Victor announces, "By the end of this week, I expect all of you to have your monthly fees ready for collection. If not, then you can spend the next few months in the mine collecting for me. That is all."
Everyone grumbles and complains about the fee; Johnson keeps a careful eye on him.
Groax says, "Huh, that salarian is nothing more than a sorry ass varren. All we need to do is go in and shut him down. Simple?"
Covina replies, "Hold on. We don't go around here and start trouble with anyone. We are here to do things the right way, not the outlaw way."
Groax turns to her, "I am here to kill and fight the kett. You keep your mouth shut, turian whore."
Covina tightens her fist, "Your ass is going to get hurt if you keep messing with me."
A. Paragon Choice: Both of you stop.
B. Neutral Choice: Covina is right.
C. Renegade Choice: Groax is right.
Johnson steps to both, "I need you both to stop and focus. Let's ask the people here about the crime boss."
They procced into the area and ask the people questions. Everything was about the harsh fees, strict gunmen, tough treatment, and harassment caused by Victor's supporting friends. Even the store owners had trouble trying to maintain their own shop since they have to give a percentage to Victor. Before they can ask any more questions, a few hired gunners approach Johnson and his team. They ask them to join Victor for lunch on the edge of the mountain top. It didn't make sense to them until they find Victor surrounded by his minions; this is more than a simple meet and greet. The view is impressive and outdoors. There are tables on the edge with a bar against the wall, built into the rock; the best part is how no one didn't bother to come and sit by Victor by the edge. Covina and Groax stay at the bar, ordering a drink. Johnson goes to join Victor. The table is nice with a large plate full of treats, a bottle of fine alcohol, and all in the open on the edge of the mountain. Victor points to a chair, and Johnson takes a seat to hear what he will say.
Victor says, "This is a fine view, don't you agree? I come up here from time to time and watch the mountain tops. They always remind me of how high you can be; however, you can always be at the bottom when you are and have nothing. Since you like to ask about me, why don't you tell me what brings you here? You can't be here for just me, right?"
A. Paragon Option: Tell the truth. (Sip the alcohol)
B. Neutral Option: Make up a fantasy.
C. Renegade Option: Lie and deceive. (Swallow the alcohol)
Johnson answers, "I'm here to find the kett on Araponaz, but before I can do that, I'm told you are up to no good. So, I figure I should ask around and talk to you. Mind if I take a sip of the drink?"
Victor blocks Johnson's hand from taking the glass of alcohol. He replies, "That is sweet of you to ask about me. But I hear that you are on Syndicate and Nexus business. So, let me make this clear to you. Stick to what you know and stay out of my affairs. And yes, you can have one sip and leave after you are done. As for me, all you need to remember is this: I oversee all of Araponaz and crossing me earns you a mark from me. For now, you have my full promise that I won't kill you."
Johnson sips the drink. The last message he remembers is to stay out of Victor's affairs. With the conversation over, the team leaves. The only hint is Victor is up to something. As they take a stroll through the area, an unknown turian nudged into Groax's side. The stun works, but there is a note given to him. The note reads: Come and find us on the third mountain. They follow the directions on the note and go to third mountain. They notice no one else is coming with them; it is astounding to find that no one is here, but the surprise welcome is expected. Several humans, turians, and asari pop out from behind walls. Rather than show signs of hostility, they all stand down and welcome them. The mysterious man invites them over to the wall. Many people here seem to be up to no good, but the third mountain hides many things.
The mysterious turian says, "I see you were busy, talking to Victor. I hope you know that being a friend or associate with him means trouble for you if security finds out. Let me help you with the problem."
A. Paragon Option: What do you want?
B. Neutral Option: What is on your mind?
C. Renegade Option: Get to the point.
Johnson asks, "Who are you, and what do you want?"
He replies, "I have some information on Victor that may prove useful to you and the security of Araponaz. If you are willing to work with me, then I'll let you receive a small fee from us. In return, if you need any information, I'll provide it for you."
Covina steps to the person, "Who are you? What is your angle here?"
The mysterious turian says, "My name is simply Jak to you, and my goal is to ensure that business stays as it is without Victor in the picture."
Johnson considers his proposal, but Groax and Covina don't like what is on the table.
Groax says, "Hmmph, I don't like Jak at all. He is after more than just seeing Victor out of this. We should consider our options."
Covina looks to him, "That's funny coming from you. I thought all krogan mercenaries had their own agenda to look at."
Groax chuckles, "I may be a merc to you, but I have seen this before. Jak is up to something that will put him on top; Victor is doing something to keep himself in power. If you ask me, our best bet is to trust neither of them.
A. Paragon Choice: We trust the security.
B. Neutral Choice: We need Jak.
C. Renegade Choice: We will tell Victor.
Johnson says, "The best people to trust is Lucy and her security team. If they can help us bring down Victor and this smuggling ring, then finding the kett will be easy."
Groax sighs, "Fine, I'll play along if it means shooting at them later."
Covina is impressed, "I like your plan. If we help the security here, they can keep this place safe for everyone else."
Johnson and his team walk around the area and talk to the people to find out where Jak is going to be. It didn't take long for them to find Jak relaxing in a small bar. The only issue is will he work with them. Jak invites them over to the bar and smiles warmly at them.
He says, "Ah, you came here to see me. I'm happy you are here, but first, we must ensure that I can trust you."
A. Paragon Choice: You can trust us. (Successful Persuasion)
B. Neutral Choice: You need my help.
C. Renegade Choice: You need to pick wisely. (Failed Persuasion)
Johnson asks, "If you can trust us, then why prove it. I'm here to help you get rid of Victor."
Jak smiles and replies, "You are right and smart too. Forget the test and let me show you what I have going on."
Covina, Jak, Groax, and Johnson go into a room behind bar. It is a room full of wine, water, alcohol, and other various drinks. Jak moves to a wall and presses a button hidden behind the water. There is a shift in the wall as the shelves move to the right. The wall reveals a hidden corridor to them; Jak encourages them to follow him down. The walk is decent, but the secret is shown to them. Jak shows them the large smuggling ring as they see a variety of items are being taken by shuttle carts through the mountain. The most shocking feature of his illegal ring is the number of credits, weapons, and supplies being moved.
Groax says, "You should have hired me sooner if you got this much going on."
Jak laughs, "I admire your krogan friend here. He sees the real prize."
Covina interrupts, "I hope you realize that this is against the law and Apex will not stand for this."
Jak and a few gunners move to Covina with anxious hands ready to pull their guns out.
A. Paragon Interrupt: She is just foolish. (Convinces Jak slightly)
B. Neutral Interrupt: Don't listen to her. (Angers Jak, shooting at Covina)
C. Renegade Interrupt: Covina, shut up. (Convinces Jak greatly)
Johnson quickly says, "Don't worry about my stupid friend here. Covina doesn't know a good setup when she sees it. I'll remind her later to behave."
Covina looks at Johnson with shock, but Jak is no longer in doubt. He orders his men to back up and takes Johnson by his shoulder.
Jak says, "I knew a human like you would understand why this is important. So, I'll provide you with anything you need and make sure that your own business here is taken care of."
They receive a tour of the smuggling ring hidden in the third mountain. All of it is amazing to Groax after seeing so many guns; Covina despises what she sees them doing with all the credits. All Johnson sees is his next choices to determine the fate of Araponaz. He can easily report this to Victor and gain his support with additional credits, or he can take Jak's side and get rid of the crime boss. Both sides show promise for him and his team, but he knows what comes next. Jak brings Johnson a location for the next place he needs to see. The location is back on the first mountain where Lucy's office is at. The plot is slowly showing more reasons why things must change on Araponaz.
The tour is over and now they are going back to Lucy with a new location given. Johnson and his people go to the shuttle train and go to the second mountain. Before they can climb aboard the next train, Victor and his men approach them. It is just one ruse or advantage being overcome by another. Johnson steps to Victor with his companions waiting.
Victor says, "I hope you enjoyed your time in the third mountain. Now, you must do something for me."
A. Paragon Option: What do you need?
B. Neutral Option: Why are you doing this?
C. Renegade Option: Go to hell.
Johnson asks, "What do you want me to do for you?"
Victor replies, "I know from a few of my operatives that you meet with the leader of the smuggling ring. I also know that he gave you directions on where to go next. I'll make this simple for you. Surrender what you have, and I give you more than enough resources to find what you are looking for. Refusing me is not an option."
A. Paragon Option: If you want, work with me. (Successful Persuasion)
B. Neutral Option: Why do you need the information?
C. Renegade Option: Kiss my ass. (Failed Persuasion, gun fight)
Johnson says, "Let me go and find out what I know. In return, I'll make sure we both come out of this with all the benefits going to us."
Victor thinks about the reward, "I like how you think, Johnson. You do what you must, but afterwards, you bring me what you know. The credits I offer you will be more than enough."
The gunmen and Victor leave them alone, returning to their HQ. Covina and Groax leave for the shuttle train; however, Groax wants to shoot them all while Covina wishes for justice. They arrive back at the first mountain and follow the directions. They come to Lucy and ask to speak with her privately. She excuses herself from the others and takes a walk with them.
Lucy asks, "I take it you are here on business with the Nexus and Syndicate, or is this about Araponaz business?"
A. Paragon Choice: You need to help us. (Shows her the information)
B. Neutral Choice: Tell me about this.
C. Renegade Choice: Shut up and listen to me. (Shows her the information)
Johnson says, "I want you to tell me about this information. It came from Jak and now, Victor wants to know about this too."
Lucy looks over the details and sighs heavily, "I know what this is. I'll show you where it is."
She guides them to a space shuttle behind the security building and orders the driver to take them to the hidden location on Araponaz. The journey didn't take long as the shuttle flies down to the ground level of the mountain. They step out and walk into a cave that only a few security people know of. Groax, Johnson and Covina see that several secrets are being kept from everyone. They all see many items are being made here and followers are training. Lucy turns to them, knowing that explanations are a must.
A. Paragon Choice: What is going on here?
B. Neutral Choice: This is interesting.
C. Renegade Choice: You better talk now.
Johnson asks, "What are you doing here? Why are these people here?"
Lucy and Johnson walk ahead of the others. She answers, "For the past few months, my team and I have been gathering intelligence on both the crime boss Victor and the hidden smuggling ring. I have spies in both areas, but none of them want to come forward. That is a problem for me since they were either brought from me with credits or convinced to join them with fancy words. This is the only place I can really train with others and ensure they are loyal. I want all of this to end, and these people here are the key to it. I just need proof on why I am moving against them. Without proof, I am no better than they are."
A. Paragon Option: You have more than proof.
B. Neutral Option: Rely on the Nexus.
C. Renegade Option: Get the Syndicate involved.
Johnson replies, "I understand what you are doing and based on what I am seeing, you have what you need. The people of the mountain know you are trying to make things easy for their life. Right now, you have people here that will follow you. All they need is the right motivation from you and me. I'll stand with you regardless of the information given to me, but I need to know if you will follow me and help my mission."
Lucy looks around and nervously says, "I don't want to turn out like them. Victor is the crime boss of the second mountain; there is an illegal smuggling ring going on in the third mountain. The people have suffered enough, and they need their life to be better than what it is."
Johnson pats her arm, "Then, let's give it to them. Right now, declare a planet wide emergency. Let the people know that all forms of crime end here, and you will stop the problems. I'll help you with my team. Victor did promise me a mountain of credits, but I won't need much to continue my mission. Jak did ensure more will come my way if I help him stay in charge without Victor out of the way. I want them both gone and Araponaz to be thriving with you as head of security and a leader to the people."
Covina and Groax join them at her table; Lucy feels nervous and anxious. Rather than wait until the evidence is shown, she stands up and goes to the broadcast station. She issues the emergency and gladly accepts any help from Johnson. The people within the cave are ready and gear up for the challenge. Within an hour, the people of all three mountains look at the TV to see a wonderful surprise. Lucy stands before everyone inside her office with three cameras aiming at her.
She says, "People of Araponaz, this is a planet wide emergency for all citizens. The crime boss Victor and his organization ends today, and the smuggling ring has been located. From this day forward, no more shall anyone of Araponaz suffer on Biloun. Those that have done you wrong shall face true justice today, and everyone will be able to live in peace. Join us today, and we shall tear down the criminals of Biloun."
The speech is short, but it works. Out from the corners of the mountain, people rally to her side. Even a few mercenaries join her to gain some kind of credits from this. Several shuttles and the train shuttle are full of security officers; they all journey to the second mountain to find Victor. In one shuttle, Lucy and her person staff are ready. Johnson and his team are dedicated to supporting them, but Groax is ready to kill. The small shuttles land on the outside of the city; the security agents are greeted by gunners of Victor. Lucy and Johnson take the first steps to them with everyone ready.
Lucy shouts, "All of you are working for a crime boss! Stand down now!"
A gunner yells, "You are making a huge mistake! Go back to your pretty office!"
A. Paragon Interrupt: We can talk about this.
B. Neutral Interrupt: You all need to stand down.
C. Renegade Interrupt: Fuck this talking. (Shoots the gunner)
Johnson sighs heavily, "Ok, we do this the easy way!"
With quick hands, Johnson takes his handgun out and fires a single round at the gunner. The shot breaks into his left shoulder as every security agent takes cover. The fight breaks out as the security and gunners fire at each other; Johnson did realize that his action is bad, but the time is upon on them. They slowly move to the right side and return fire, forcing the gunners to move back. A few security agents are hurt, but the stunt causes many civilians to join in the fight. There is a lot of commotion within the second mountain as the people revolt against Victor and his gunners. Lucy, Johnson, Covina, and Groax move through the front area with guns aiming. They see many people holding down gunners or fighting back; a barrage of items is thrown at the gunners while others tackle them to the ground. Johnson and his team come to a corner, waiting to ambush the approaching forces. Johnson falls to the ground and shoots out the legs. Groax and Covina provide fire as they put down the gunners. Lucy and her team arrest, put down, or comfort anyone they encounter. People scream for order, and everyone follows Lucy's command with ease. Johnson and his team come to a long, narrow hall with the gunners holding firm.
There doesn't seem to be a way around until Groax points out a new path for them to take. It is a dangerous gamble, but it will lead them around the back of the gunners. Lucy and the security agents hold the front; Johnson and his team walk to the back side of the area to find a dangerous route. It is a small cave with room only for Covina and Johnson to take. Groax agrees to stay in the front and help Lucy while they proceed around the back. As they travel through the dark, narrow passage, Covina takes a moment to express how well Johnson is handling this.
She says, "I am surprised that you didn't want to talk things out. Those gunners seem reasonable."
A. Paragon Choice: I made a mistake.
B. Neutral Choice: There was no way.
C. Renegade Choice: To hell with them.
Johnson replies, "I made a mistake, but I refuse to make deals that include threats."
It didn't take long for them to reach the other side. Once they got through, the other side brings them to a small storage room. Covina and Johnson catch the gunners off guard after they step out of the room. They take them down and move up the resistance to the next area. It is an easy stroll as Johnson, Lucy, Covina, Groax, and the security agents come to the final area of Victor's section. Outside the section, the last few gunners wait and try to talk things over. To their surprise, none of the last few gunners have a single weapon on them.
A gunner says, "We surrender! Please, let us live. We will let you deal with Victor and his personal guard if you let us go."
Lucy says, "If you think you can walk away, then you are mistaken. You will die like the others."
Covina interrupts, "Maybe they should be allowed to live and rebuild what they did."
A. Paragon Option: Let them go.
B. Neutral Option: Arrest them.
C. Renegade Option: Kill them. (Shoots the gunners)
Johnson says, "We can let them go. They don't have weapons on them."
Covina steps forward, "No, we can arrest them. It is better they pay for their crimes than be allowed to go free."
Lucy agrees with Covina as the gunners are placed in handcuffs and sent away. The final area has a heavily locked door, but Groax uses his cannon to blast the door away; they step inside a large room with white walls, floor, and ceiling around them. It is nice to see it, but Victor is standing in the center room. He isn't nervous or anxious to see everyone come through. Victor is calm and cool; in fact, he offers a drink to them.
Victor walks to his table, "It is a shame you had to come here, Lucy. I figured you would have stayed in your office and focused on paperwork. And you are the worse, Johnson. You dare bring the security agents here and destroy my operations, kill my own guards. I thought we had an understanding, but I made a mistake. So, let's try this again. I offer you one final choice to make. Take my side or die right now."
Johnson looks around the area, and it feels uneasy to him. He sees a shadowy figure move through the back.
A. Paragon Interrupt: Shoot at the figure.
B. Neutral Interrupt: Talk things out.
C. Renegade Interrupt: Shoot Victor.
Johnson fires at the person moving through the dark. The move forces everyone to scatter as Victor's personal guard tries to take down the security agents. Victor runs to the back of the room with Lucy and Johnson following closely; they corner him as he tries to jump on his private shuttle and take down two gunners. Victor is alone, but things look bad for him.
Lucy says, "This is the end for you. I might arrest you, but I'll leave it up to Johnson here. He can decide if you live or die."
Victor quickly replies, "Wait, hold on. I can offer you all the resources I have along with my loyalty if you don't send me to jail. Please, let me continue to be an asset to you and all of Araponaz."
A. Paragon Option: Decline the offer. (Victor tries to attack)
B. Neutral Option: Talk about the proposition.
C. Renegade Option: Accept the deal. (Victor becomes your contact)
Johnson answers, "I'm not here to make any deals with scum bags."
Lucy agrees as three more security agents arrive, "Now you get to have the enjoyment of being in one of our jails. Your days of crime are over, Victor."
Victor roars at everyone and tries to attack. Lucy and Johnson put a bullet in him, but none are lethal. The security grab and haul Victor out of the room as he continues to scream in defiance. The people of Araponaz now have something to celebrate about as the biggest crime boss has been arrested; however, there is one more area to check out. Johnson, Covina, Groax, and Lucy take a few security agents to the third mountain for a discovery.
At the secret cave of the smuggling ring, one asari finds a note on the table. It reads:
"Be sure to lock the doors."
None of the smuggling members understood the message left by Jak; however, the sound of the security agents yelling and pointing guns make it clear. A few smugglers try to run out another door only to discover that more security agents are waiting all over the third mountain. Lucy orders everyone to be arrested with all items confiscated; Johnson and his team join her inside as they see credits, weapons, jewelry, equipment, and cargo be taken out. The agents pack up the crates, tap up the items, and cuff many smugglers. The day is coming to an exciting end, but they didn't find Jak. It is safe to assume that one of the spies told him in advance about the planet emergency issued to Lucy.
As the people cheer and shout for joy, Lucy proudly walks back to an edge and looks at the other tall mountains. She feels more than happy to know that order has been brought to Araponaz; the time for celebration is here, but Johnson needs to finish up the kett mission. He comes to Lucy as she turns to him.
Lucy says, "I really appreciate how much you did for us. Victor is locked up, but the smuggling leader is still moving around. Hopefully, we will find him and make sure he is captured. For now, let's see if we can help you find any kett on Biloun. We need to get back to the HQ and see what the outer lands will show us."
Johnson and his team return to HQ with Lucy. As they leave from the shuttle port and walk through the streets, people praise them as the heroes of the day. The trading among merchants will be promising without anyone interfering from criminals and everyone can live without being harassed by others; they didn't have to worry about paying additional fees either. After the heroes arrive at HQ, the security agents use every form of monitoring and scans to see if they can locate what Johnson is looking for. To their surprise, a distress call is being broadcast. In the far distance lands of many other mountains, the message keeps repeating.
The message states: "Help me, please. I need some assistance here. There are these beings shooting at me."
Lucy ensures Johnson that everything is taken care of in Araponaz while they continue with the mission. They bid her goodbye and wish her the best. The security agents provide the team with a simple shuttle that will take them out to the distress call. As Johnson walks by the happy people, he feels proud of their first team effort. It reminds him of the cheers he and others received on Eos when the raiders left. There were many people dead, but the majority of Prodromos citizens lived to make sure it won't happen again. Despite the pain and dead, Johnson kept hope alive in his heart and knew that if he can make a change one day, then anyone can do the same.
The shuttle lands in a safe zone with equipment all around. It seems someone was quite busy here, but now, it is a mess. There is gunshot marks and small fires burning; this does not bode well as Johnson and his team slowly advance through the area and look around. The shuttle remains on the ground, and the team continues searching.
