Group Separating by a Fence
"Neptune, what's up? Did you spot a squirrel or something?" Sun asked joking, but even he knew what the fear expression on Neptune's face could mean.
Sun looks in the direction where Neptune is facing and curses himself hoping this wouldn't happen so soon, but seeing a horde of zombies slowly walking up to the Walmart store shows him that fate is certainly proving him wrong.
"Now that's a shitty surprise." Sun commented as everyone else came out to see this.
"Zombies, are you serious right now?!" Yang angered.
"Damn it, they must've broken down the fence we step up with their sheer numbers." Raven grunted and clutching her fists.
"Fence? What are you talking about?" Saeko asked.
"When we came here and discovered that Walmart still has plenty of things to offer, there were more zombies around then the ones coming here. We took care of them though the numbers were still not in our favor." Raven began explaining.
"So, we along with some others we came across thought of putting up a kind of fence to keep the zombies at bay for a long while to come here to restock our supplies." Cinder added.
"What martial did you use to make the fence?" Velvet asked.
"Some fishing wires along with sharp pins just for the extra measure." Raven answered.
"You always took things a little too serious, but I think I can give you a pass on that." Yang said.
"What else did you use to hold the fence up." Ruby asked knowing something like that alone won't be enough to hold off the zombies for long.
Raven and Cinder look at each other for a moment before looking back at the kids giving them a straight answer together.
"Duct tape." They said at the same time.
"Duct tape! Are you serious?!" Everyone gasped.
"It's not like we can suddenly find lots of wood laying around with nails and a hammer to make a better fence, we had to work with what we can get our hands on." Raven pointed out.
"Still for duct tape to last for three to four days holding off the zombies is something else, I guess." Jaune surprised.
"Duct tape is strong than it looks when you use it for certain things." Cinder pointed out.
"Anyway, it looks like we're gonna have to deal with the zombies right now or else we'll be force to leave before we can get anything else." Raven glared at the zombies.
"Don't worry, we can help with that." Yang said as she brought out her gauntlets and everyone got their weapons out.
"Does anyone know if we'll be able to get on that many? I feel like might not be able to take them all down." Jaune said feeling a bit worry.
"Let me think…" Weiss closed her eyes for a few second while doing some thinking until she opens then again.
"From what I can gather, without numbers being that 14 of us can fight leaving the four non-fighters out of it and now with two others making it 16, I think should be able to hold them off." Weiss calculated.
"Wow, that was some fast thinking you did there." Ruby impressed of her BBF's smartness.
"That depends if there any more coming than this." Weiss said.
"Hold on, I think I remember something." Velvet looked up at the Walmart sign.
"What is, bun-bun?" Coco asked, wondering if her girl is having an idea.
"Bun-bun?" Cinder confused of the nickname.
"It's what Coco likes to call Velvet since they're girlfriends and all. It's a cute nickname when you think about it." Blake explained.
"I thought she called her Bun-Bun is because she got a big butt like a rabbit." Saeko stated.
"Me too! The girl got some real buns that could become steel if she worked out a lot." Nora smirked.
"I don't think now is the time to be talking about another girl's butt." Ren pointed out and reminds them of the zombies.
"Hang on, I just remember something that Walmart has! Be right back!" Velvet ran into the store without wasting any time.
"Velvet, wait! Don't go running by yourself!" Coco hurried in the Walmart store after her girlfriend.
"Glynda, Shizuka, take the younger children in the store for cover. We'll call you when all is clear." Pyrrha ordered the two adults.
"Got it, please be careful." Glynda nodded and they ran into the store.
"Remember to aim for the heads or just knock them down because they can't get back up." Jaune said ready with his sword.
"Let's go!" Yang charged in.
"Yang, wait!" Raven called out for her daughter, trying to tell her not to rush in so suddenly like that.
But it was too late as Yang jumps in throwing a punch right on the face knocking down the zombie and kicked away two others then punched one more, then Blake comes in with her katana tied to a ribbon slices at the few zombies that were close to Yang and Sun smacks a few more down with his staff.
"Babe, I always love that energy of yours but I think you may want to tone it down a bit." Sun suggested.
"Sorry, couldn't help myself." Yang chuckled.
"Move it, young lady!" Raven dashed forward and pulls out a red katana slicing through five heads of the zombies.
"Whoa, mom! Where did you get a sword like that?" Yang shocked.
"Found it near a destroyed limbo, probably a history collector or whatever." Raven answered with a smirk.
"Don't forget about us!" Neptune fired some nails at the zombies' head.
The others are fighting off the zombies taking them down the best they could as Oscar and Alice are watching this from inside Walmart. Cinder fired three of her exploding arrows on the heads and Emerald slashes them with her sickle blades, Saeko and Mercury each take down a zombie though the former got two more than him.
"Are they going to be okay?" Alice asked worry.
"I'm sure they'll be fine, we're not dead yet and we stronger with two more." Oscar believed.
"That maybe true, but I fear they may not last long if more zombies started showing up." Glynda concerned for the worse.
"Do you happen to know what Velvet was being so excited about earlier?" Shizuka asked.
"I believe it may have been some kind of item that is here in Walmart, but I'm not really sure if it's still going to be useable considered how much of a mess this place is." Glynda looked around the store in utter ruin.
"Why don't we ask her then?" Shizuka pointed at the girl.
"Come on, come on! I need to work fast!" Velvet said as she took out a part from the highly and newly advance fast ball shooter that are use for sport practice like baseball and tennis.
"Velvet, I found some knives just in case." Coco reported in carrying some knives in a basket.
"Oh, now we can work with that." Velvet smirked as she opened machine seeing the wires.
Mercury smacks down some zombies with the staff he is using though starts to feel a little tried from all the swinging, which got him to lead his guard down for one zombie about to touch him.
"Look alive, dude!" Nora swinged her hammer at the zombie ripping the head off.
"You seem to be kind of down?" Nora asked.
"Yeah, I'll be fine though I never have to fight with a kick. I'm more of a kicker." Mercury stated.
"Then you should've asked Velvet to make you some weapon-like boots." Saeko suggested after taking down another zombie.
"Yeah, maybe I'll do that." Mercury said with a thumb up.
Ruby swings her scythe down impaling one zombie in the head and use it to move up for some kicks against the other zombies then remove the blade from the walking corpse and kicks it down.
"I see more coming!" Ruby alerted.
Over a dozen more zombies are walking toward the parking lot with the dead expression of wanting to consuming any random flesh things they can find.
"Great, as if we don't have anything else to worry about." Mercury exclaimed.
"Not to worry, I have the perfect gun to help us!" Velvet called out.
Velvet and Coco comes out of the store showing the ball shooter now have been modified into a new version that looks fierce, and she fired a knife right at one zombie through the neck.
"Everyone get clear! This is going to be messy!" Velvet smirked.
They didn't waste a second as they hurry over to her side so they don't get caught in the fire of knives as they are being fired like machine guns at the zombies, the knives piercing through their bodies and in their heads with the impact knocking them down and soon all of the zombies are down for the count.
"Oh yeah, score one for Bun-Bun!" Velvet cheered and did a cute pose.
"That's my girl!" Coco smiled and kissed Velvet on the cheek making her blush.
"Okay, now that was intense." Yang commented.
"It looks like you're better with the crafting and machines than I thought." Cinder impressed.
"With that out of the way, we can get the supplies and get out of here." Raven said.
Not wanting to waste any time, the group with the two mothers hurry into the store gather whatever they can find that hasn't been taken or destroyed, they even managed to find a few stuff animals for Alice to play with and a bone for Zero to chew on along with some dogfood.
"Okay, we're all set!" Sun announced placing the last stuff in the trunk.
"We managed to find a lot of good stuff! Good job!" Shizuka hugged Jaune putting his face on her breasts.
"Do you guys have a secret hideout you can take us too?" Ruby asked.
"Not exactly a secret hideout, but it's a much safer place than being out here where you can literally be killed." Cinder compared this area to the place they're currently staying at.
"I believe I will be doing the driving this time, Shizuka. You look like you needed some rest." Glynda offered as she took the keys from Shizuka.
"Huh? But I still have plenty of e-energy." Shizuka yawned.
"Come on, we don't you to suddenly sleep while driving." Pyrrha escorted Shizuka to the back of the trunk.
"A Hum-V, you don't see too many of those nowadays." Raven surprised.
"We were the same when Shizuka showed us the car her girlfriend drives in, and we still have no idea of what kind of job she does." Yang explained.
"Well, the important thing is that we can get to the place faster than on foot." Raven smiled.
Raven then start to look sad doing some thinking about all the times she could've spent more time with Yang, more time on being the mom she needed instead of just being away because of her job and prefers not to let family bonds tie her down though her husband would always keep on convincing her to come visit Yang.
"You okay?" Yang asked noticing the sorrow look.
"Yeah, it just took me this long to realize how much I want to be with my daughter." Raven chuckled softly.
This surprises Yang as she never heard her mom say anything this soft and shockingly that she wanted to have more time with her mom, her second mother who was Ruby's mom was a great mom until she past away years ago though she would still want to spend time with her mom some more.
Yang didn't think it was possible for Raven to finally admit this as all it took was the end of the world done in by zombies, this just made her laugh a little.
"Well, nice to see you "Ravening" up the courage to do so." Yang punned with a grin.
"Same awful puns just like your father." Raven sighed though smile all the same.
"(Tai, you better be alive out there because I'm gonna give you an earful for teaching Yang those awful jokes.)" Raven thought smiled up at the sky.
Soon, the group drives away from the abandoned Walmart with Glynda taking the wheel this time and following the direction from Cinder sitting in the co-pilot seat while the others relaxing as much as they can from the back.
"Man, Velvet, the way you made that ball shoot to fire things like a machine gun was insane." Jaune commented to the brown hair girl.
"It was a little hard doing some rewiring and changing the power output settings, but I was able to get it working just in time to save all of your asses!" Velvet bragged pointing at everyone.
"Okay, now you're just trying to be a showoff." Emerald chuckled.
"Well, maybe that'll show you not to underestimate my sexy bunny girl!" Coco hugged Velvet and kissing her cheek.
"Coco, stop! You're ruining the moment!" Velvet laughed but didn't push Coco and back kisses her lips back.
"Guess I'll ask about them boots later." Mercury leaned back and relax.
"Those punches you threw were good, though your skills are still lacking in self-control." Raven stated to her daughter about the way she fights.
"I was just showing the my "Punchline" in the face!" Yang punned getting the group to groan.
"Damn it, can you please go for one minute without doing the puns!" Ruby begged.
"Not even zombies can destroy my funniness!" Yang smirked as she flexes her muscles.
Then suddenly the car stops.
"Hey! Why did we stop?" Sun asked.
"Because the road is being blocked." Glynda answered.
Everyone exit the car to see that road is being blocked by a large fence of bar-wires being wide of the entire road and tall about fifteen feet high.
"Wow, you guys must've really kept the zombies out." Jaune impressed.
"Yeah, good thing we're not over there." Pyrrha pointed at the zombies on the other side of the fence and about five to six feet away from them.
"How did you manage to get this thing up like this?" Jaune asked.
"It wasn't easy, but I got some fuckers to work with us and some kept watch on the zombies while getting to work. Almost got us, but that's ancient history now." Raven explained a bit.
"We'll be taking the stairs here and the rest of the way to the safe place is on foot." Cinder pointed at the staircase.
"Ah! And I wanted to keep riding this baby!" Nora cried on the Hum-V.
"Sorry Nora, but we're gonna have to say goodbye to the car." Ren patted his girlfriend's shoulder and kiss her ear.
Everyone walks up the stairs as Jaune stop for a moment looking down to see the zombies very close to the car, he hopes that they'll find a new transportation to get around after the Hum-V.
But then he heard a sound like glass breaking and it was coming from above him, and his eyes widen of shock seeing a zombie falling from high position and was about to land on Neptune.
"Look out!" Jaune quickly shoved Neptune up to the top of the stairs and use his shield to block the falling zombie.
However, the impact from the falling zombie causes Jaune to go backward onto the edge of the staircase and fall off as he lands right into the zombie side of the fence.
"Jaune?!" Everyone gasped.
"Oh boy!" Jaune gulped as he is now surrounded by Zombies.
One of the zombies notice the crashing bump sound and tries to reach for it only to suddenly be impaled on the head by Ruby and Saeko comes in smacking two away.
"Ruby! Saeko! Are you both crazy?!" Weiss screamed.
"Not like I was going to leave Jaune like this!" Ruby screamed back.
"We got to go down there!" Yang tried to jump in, but Raven stops her.
"No, there's too many of them for all of us to deal with." Raven pointed out.
"All of you, go!" Jaune shouted shocking the group.
"Don't worry about us, me and these two will find a way back to you! I promise by tomorrow or the day after that we'll be together again. This I promise as an Arc!" Jaune declared rising his sword toward the sky.

It looks like the group were finally going to rest at another safe place only for Jaune to suddenly fall behind and quite literally accompanied by Ruby and Saeko, now the group is going to be separated from the three for a while as Jaune makes his Arc promise to reunite with them soon.
