Hi guys back at it with a new story. I've spent some time away from writing I know I know. It's not that I had writers block. Cause I knew what I wanted to do. I just didn't feel like it. Now I want you guys to bare with me on this. I'm still using my phone to write this. And to be honest guys the way it's written probably won't get any better until I get a computer. I apologize in advance but let's continue the story.
Disclaimer: I don't own the writes to Naruto or Dragon ball z
Naruto's POV
"Ugh, why the hell is someone shining a light in my face?" I groan, squinting against the harsh brightness that pierces through my eyelids. Slowly, I blink open my eyes to find a blinding white ceiling above me, disorienting in its sterility.
To my left, Sasuke lies sprawled across his bed, an island of calm amidst the chaos swirling in my mind. Memories of our recent battle crash over me like relentless waves, each one heavier than the last. "Man, when we get back, I need Goku-sensei to crank my training up a notch," I mutter, nudging him awake. He mumbles incoherently, burrowing deeper into his pillow, blissfully unaware of the storm around us.
"Guess he's not getting up anytime soon," I think, frustration mingling with concern. With a resigned sigh, I push open the door and head downstairs, where I find my team and Team Goku—Vegeta included—sitting in an unnerving silence that feels almost oppressive.
Yugito's eyes light up the moment she sees me. Without hesitation, she rushes forward and wraps her arms around me, her body trembling. "You're finally awake, Naruto-kun! I was so worried about you!" Her voice is thick with emotion, each word layered with the pain she's been holding onto.
Seeing her like this crushes me. The weight of her worry sits heavy in my chest. "I'm alright now, love. I promise I won't put you through that again," I say softly, holding her close, rubbing her back in soothing circles, desperate to convey my sincerity through the warmth of my embrace.
But the atmosphere around us is thick with unspoken questions—eyes filled with worry and uncertainty, all directed at me. I reluctantly let Yugito go and sink into a chair, where she instinctively curls up in my lap, seeking comfort.
"Naruto," Goku-sensei's voice cuts through the tension, his tone serious.
"Yes?" I reply, our eyes locking in a moment of shared understanding. We both know the weight of the conversation ahead.
"Before we get into it, can you tell me what happened to Broly?" I blurt out, frustration bubbling over. I'm furious at myself for letting everything spiral out of control. If Goku-sensei and Vegeta had to step in, what does that say about our abilities and our training?
"He was taken," Goku states, and my breath hitches in surprise. The realization hits me like a punch to the gut—there's still a chance for us to confront him again, and this time it can't end in failure.
"Who took him?" I ask, forcing my voice to remain steady despite the unease churning in my stomach.
"A man with an orange spiraling mask, dressed in a black cloak adorned with red clouds," Vegeta replies, his expression darkening. A chill runs down my spine; this can't be good. Ominous threats flash through my mind, and I can't shake the feeling that we're standing on the precipice of something far more dangerous.
Taking a deep breath, I share everything Boruto told me about the future, the urgency of our situation weighing heavily on my heart. Just as I finish, Sasuke finally makes his way down the stairs, his expression a mask of determination.
Sasuke's POV
My head throbs as I push myself up from the bed, remnants of sleep clinging to me like a heavy fog. I glance around to confirm I'm in Tazuna's house. As I descend the stairs, the muffled sound of Naruto's voice reaches my ears, a mix of excitement and anxiety.
"—and I told Yugito, I'll never let her feel that pain again!" he exclaims, his enthusiasm ringing hollow in the heavy air.
Leaning against the doorframe, I cross my arms, irritation simmering beneath the surface. My thoughts drift to Haku, the knot of worry in my chest tightening. Where is she? I shake my head, trying to push the concern aside.
"Hellooooo, Sasuke!" Vegeta-sensei's voice pulls me back to the present.
"Yes?" I reply, bracing myself for the inevitable questioning.
"If what Naruto says is true, we need to ramp up your training. We can't afford another defeat like that," he asserts, his tone unwavering. I roll my eyes; it's clear we both understand the stakes.
"Care to enlighten us on what actually happened?" Kakashi prompts, his usual nonchalance replaced with a rare seriousness.
"Shockingly, we got our asses handed to us," I retort, sarcasm lacing my words, trying to deflect the weight of the situation.
"Enough with the jokes, Sasuke," Naruto interjects, his tone unexpectedly grave. It catches me off guard, making me take a deep breath as I mentally prepare to recount our disastrous encounter with Broly, the sting of defeat still fresh.
As I recount our experience, everyone listens intently, the air thick with disbelief and concern. Goku and Vegeta exchange glances, clearly baffled by Broly's sudden surge in strength, their expressions a mixture of confusion and frustration.
Undisclosed Location
In a dimly lit underground lair, the masked man who captured Broly paces restlessly, a sinister grin curling on his lips. "You'll be the perfect pawn for my plans," he murmurs to himself, a dark aura enveloping him, suffocating and oppressive.
"On the contrary, I believe you're mistaken," a smooth voice interrupts, causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand on end.
The masked man turns sharply, instinctively tensing for a fight as he spots a figure dressed in black, his aura radiating confidence.
"Who are you?" he demands, eyes narrowing, every instinct screaming for him to be ready.
"Oh, foolish mortal, I'm here to assist you," the figure replies, a sly smirk dancing across his lips.
"And why should I trust you?" the masked man retorts, mind racing as he assesses this unexpected visitor.
"I'm Black, or Black Goku if you prefer. And I am a god," he declares, confidence radiating from him like an unseen force.
"I'm Madara Uchiha," the masked man proclaims, his tone defiant. The two begin plotting their dark future, ambitions intertwining like a web of shadows, each step deeper into darkness.
Back with Naruto and the Gang
Outside, the sun hangs low in the sky, casting long shadows as it's time for Team Goku and Vegeta to leave, the weight of the day still heavy in the air.
"See you back in the village," Naruto and Sasuke wave, but the atmosphere remains somber, filled with unspoken fears and unresolved emotions.
"What an eventful day," Naruto reflects, looking around at his friends. But when he turns back, he realizes Sasuke has disappeared.
"Where did he go?" he wonders, a knot of unease forming in his stomach as he heads back inside, feeling a sense of foreboding.
With Sasuke
"I have to find her," Sasuke resolves, urgency igniting within him as he soars above the town, searching for the familiar energy that always brings him comfort.
He lands in front of a rundown apartment and knocks on the door. Zabuza answers, his expression neutral but watchful, assessing the situation.
"Haku, is something wrong?" he asks, stepping aside as she emerges, concern etched on her face.
"I need to talk," she says, her voice trembling slightly. Zabuza watches her closely, sensing the gravity of the moment.
"About what?" he prompts, his tone serious.
"I want to go with Sasuke and the others to the Leaf. I can't just stay here," she admits, determination shining through her uncertainty.
Zabuza's eyes narrow, studying her. "It's dangerous out there. Are you sure this is what you want?"
"I've never been more sure," she replies, her voice steady. "I need to support him. I can't let fear hold me back any longer."
A silence stretches between them, filled with unspoken understanding. "If you believe this is your path, I won't stop you," Zabuza finally says, a hint of pride in his voice. "But remember, the world is unforgiving."
"I understand. I won't let you down," she vows, relief flooding through her.
Two Days Later
Team 7 stands at the end of the bridge, the sun dipping low on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the scene, the sky painted in hues of gold and crimson.
"Thank you for everything, Kakashi," Tazuna says, his voice filled with gratitude, his eyes misty.
Sasuke watches as villagers gather to name the bridge, finally settling on "The Great Saiyan Bridge." A fleeting smile graces his lips, but thoughts of Haku cloud his mind, the promise of her presence lingering just out of reach.
"Let's head out," Kakashi announces, signaling the team to move. As they set off, Sasuke feels a familiar presence behind him, making his heart skip.
"Haku-chan?" he asks, shock coursing through him as she appears, breathless and radiant.
"I'm coming to the Leaf. Zabuza-sensei can't, but I'm free now," she declares, determination sparkling in her eyes, igniting warmth in his chest.
Joy surges through Sasuke, dispelling the shadows that lingered for so long. "Let's catch up with my team," he says, taking her hand, feeling the warmth radiate between them.
As they run off into the sunset, the sky ablaze with vibrant hues, Sasuke feels a sense of liberation wash over him. For the first time since the darkness of his past, he feels truly happy, ready to embrace whatever comes next.
