Ben wiped the sweat off his forehead while walking off the field after soccer practice. He picked up his gym bag, slung it over his shoulder, taking a sip from his water bottle. Standing by the gate was Julie

'Wonder what she's doing here,' Ben thought, seeing that she didn't look happy for whatever reason. "care to explain to me, Ben" she said angrily.

"Explain what?" Ben asked, not knowing what Julie was talking about

"I saw you after the battle, Ben. How could you cheat on me?" she asked angry-sounding hurt.

"Cheated on you, Julie. We haven't gone out in months," Ben replied. "when I was free, you were busy, and when you were free, I was busy. The last time we saw each other before the battle last night was when Ship got dog-napped by the Forever Knights."

"Ship, Ship," Ship said, poking his head out of Julie's gym bag. Julie smiled, patting him on the head before looking back to Ben.

"You didn't talk to me about it."

"I didn't think I needed to. Like I said, we haven't had a conversation in months," Ben said, realizing he probably should have talked to Julie in hindsight.

"Look, Julie, I'm sorry. I didn't want to hurt you, but I really like Kim. I hope we can still be friends," Ben apologized. Julie's scowl went away. "I'm sorry for snapping at you. I could have talked to you," Julie said, picking up her bag. "see you around, Ben."

"Sure," Ben said, watching her walk off for a second before he walked over to the bike racks.

A week later, Ben flew as Jetray towards Middleton after using the Gene repair sequence to fix the High Breeds. The Master control was shut off.

The good news is that his old aliens got unlocked, along with some new ones and some new ones.

That's why he was going to Middleton.

His girlfriend had suggested testing what his new aliens could do together in a spar, saying it'd be better to do it without being in a fight

It was also a good way to spend time with Kim, so it was a win-win

Ben flew around, spotting the junkyard where Kim said to meet him. Seeing her by a rusted-out pickup truck, Ben dropped down, changing back.

"Hey"

"Nice entrance," she said.

"Whoa, that is so radically sick," the blonde guy beside Kim said. "You're all those alien heroes that appeared five years ago."

"Thanks," Ben said. "One question: who are you?"

"Ben, this is my best friend, Ron Stoppable. Ron, this is my boyfriend, Ben Tennyson," Kim introduced. Ben nodded. "Right, good to meet you, dude. Kim talked about you a lot."

"You too, dude."

"Uh huh," Rufus, the naked mole rat, said from his pocket.

"So let's get this testing started." Kim tapped the rusty truck. "whatever your new aliens can do, aim for the truck."

Ben nodded as Kim and Ron stepped away from the truck. He was activating his Omnitrix. Ben cycled to the first of his new aliens. He'd tested Lodestar the night before in La Soledad, so he skipped that one.

Activating the Omnitrix, Ben changed to a bright orange alien that looked like a triceratops standing on two legs with hands wearing green and grey armor with the Omnitrix symbol on his belt.

"Triple Threat," Ben called out, stomping his foot

"Whoa, this one is awesome," Ron shouted. "Can he shoot lasers from his horns or breathe fire?"

"No idea," Ben answered. Acting on instincts, he charged forward, ducking his head down and ramming the truck, ripping the door off its hinges. The door was caught on them.

Ben shook his head, dropping it. Ben lifted the truck. "Looks like super strength."

"Still awesome."

"Yeah, it is," Ben agreed. Kim shook her head, muttering something that sounded like boys.

"Drop the truck and next alien," Kim said

Ben nodded, putting the truck down and tapping the Omnitrix, changing into the next alien shrinking down and stretching his scales, changed from orange to green legs molded together, becoming a snake tail with black hourglass patterns ending in a drill-like rattle.

He became long and thin, but muscular hair grew from his head into a mohawk and hairy eyebrows. Now, he was wearing a vest with a black strap over the shoulder with the Omnitrix symbol.

"Sssssssnakepit," Ben hissed out.

"Another cool alien"

Ben turned towards the truck, standing on the tip of his rattle, coiling his tail up like a top. He spun around, tunneling under the truck and dropping it into a pit.

Before tunneling out, slithering out

"So this one digs," Kim said.

"How do you have names for these guys when you don't know what they do?"

"No idea, they just come to me," Ben answered, tapping the Omnitrix. Changing again, he became two feet tall, his scales became blue-colored rocks, his hands and feet became red rocks, his clothes changed, becoming shorts with the Omnitrix symbol on his chest, and his head became long like an anteater with wolf ears and antlers.

"Sandbox," Ben cried out with a Brooklyn accent, shadowboxing, throwing out a rapid series of punches. The red rocks on his hands changed into sand, stretching out, hitting a truck, and leaving a fist.

"Ha, ha, float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, baby," Ben said, rushing forward. He leaped up, throwing a hook kick with his fist. His feet changed into the sand, cutting the tuck in half.

"Dude, that's sick," Ron said, "but wouldn't Sandkickbox be more accurate."

Ben shook his head. "No way, dude, sandbox is totally the right name."

"Yeah, I gotta go with Ben. Sandbox sounds better," Kim agreed, walking over and picking up Ben under the armpits. "This one kinda cute in a weird naked mole rat way."

"Hey," Rufus said sounding offended

"No offense, Rufus."

"I'm not sure if that's a compliment," Ben admitted. Kim kissed him on the snout.

"It's a compliment," Kim promised. "You've got one more"

Ben nodded as Kim put him down. "Here goes nothing."

Ben tapped the Omnitrix one last time, growing, stopping at five foot three. His snout shrunk, becoming a beak. He got orange and yellow striped skin patterns again, and the top of his head became a hard shell like a helmet. He gained a broad-shouldered chest, muscular arms, and legs. He got a second shell around his torso, the Omnitrix symbol in the center.

"Shellhead," Ben called out slowly.

"So what can this one do," Kim asked.

Ben shrugged. "beats me," Ben answered. "It's not as obvious as Sandbox or Snakepit."

Ben knew some aliens' powers weren't obvious, like Cannonbolt, who, ten years before him, had written him off as a lame alien, but he knew better.

He's got some similarities to Cannonbolt. Maybe rolling was his power.

Ben pulled his limbs inside and tried to move or spin. "uh, Ben, what are you doing?" Kim asked

"I thought maybe I could roll really fast," Ben answered. "guess not."

Ben tried to pull his head out, but the shell on his head got stuck. "Seriously," Ben growled, shaking his head and trying to get his head free until he heard a clicking sound like a gun cocking before his head shot out, stretching forward, colliding with Shell's head first with a pile of junk.

With an impact like a gong ringing in his ear, the entire junk pile was knocked over along with the one behind it, the one behind that, and the one behind that one, too.

Ben got back onto his feet, the Omnitrix timing out as Ben became human, though he still had a bit of a headache.

"Booyah"

"Good lesson, don't judge an alien by his looks," Ben said, rubbing his head. "well, that's all the aliens."

"You got anywhere else you need to be," Kim asked. Ben shrugged.

"Nope, I'm free all day," Ben said. "Why do you wanna hang out."

Kim smiled. "I can think of a few ideas," she said, walking beside Ben. The two walked off, leaving Ron behind.

"Guess it's just you and me, buddy. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Nacos," Rufus cheered.

"Oh yeah, let's go," Ron agreed. The human and the naked mole rat headed to Bueno Nacho while the two lovebirds spent quality time together.
