It had been a hard night for the Manhattan Clan while their two best warriors were struggling with their fever.

Brooklyn and Lexington were both still bleeding rather badly, even when Angela had a big supply of leaves. Hudson had done his best to go out and find some water since they also were losing hydration.

Angela kept a leaf firm but not too hard on Brooklyn's side, who kept moaning in pain. It was now close to sunrise, but she was afraid of what the day will bring without their stone skin protection.

"Father, what are we going to do? We can't let them suffer like this for much longer!" Angela pleaded, gazing over to Lexington who kept on whimpering from the tear in his lower wing, Broadway rubbing his brother's shoulder.

Goliath nods, his hands clenching, hating the Quarrymen every passing second who had been responsible for this at all, especially now since they were stuck on an island with possibly genetically created dinosaurs.

"Do you think Sevarius had anything to do with creating these dinosaurs Hudson?" Broadway suddenly questioned, his ears flattened at the idea of somehow that mad scientist had re created extinct animals.

Hudson gave a light frown before shaking his head. "I wouldn't put it past Sevarius to do something like this but, I keep thinking that it wasn't all his doin'. But one day we'll have to find the one who did."

Brooklyn agreed despite his pain. "Yeah... unless we can get outta here... ugh!" He flinched, holding his side in pain, Angela smiling in a soothing way at Brooklyn, stroking his forehead. "Don't talk now, save your strength."

The lavender leader narrowed his eyes in determination, now knowing what they had to do. "Me and Hudson are going to go out and see if somehow a first aid kit was left on this gods forsaken island. You and Broadway stay here with them." He commanded, Angela nods, still stroking Brooklyn's forehead while Broadway gave Lex another drink of water.

After that, Goliath soon exited the cave with Hudson by his side, wondering what other dinosaurs they might encounter, hoping not the Spinosaurus again. They had enough sharp teeth for a while.

...

It took well into the afternoon with the two old friends as they trekked through the forest, the damp humidity getting to Hudson a little who was feeling worried they wouldn't find any and that this was just a waste of time.

But then Goliath picked up a scent, which smelled slightly rotten, making him grimace but kept going. When pushing aside some bushes, Goliath gasped aloud at what he saw.

Before him was what looked like a slightly rotten skeleton corpse of a human who had a backpack beside him. Hudson cringed from seeing it as well, a hand on his heart. "Aye, what a way to go for the poor lad." He murmured out of pity, the two gargoyles wondering who could've killed the human, going over to the skeleton, Goliath taking the backpack.

He dug through it, hoping there was something useful for them, like a radio, or a first aid kit. That was when to his shock, he pulled out a slightly dirty but unopened white first aid kit box.

"H-Hudson..." Goliath whispered, feeling tears forming in his eyes out of his happiness, opening up the kit and seeing plenty of bandages, a sewing needle, and some other treatments including gauze. This was perfect!

The brown elder grins as well, also finding an empty canteen, deciding to take it which could come in handy for storing some water. He glanced down at the skeleton, his heart panging again. "Do you think we should bury him lad? After all... he was killed by these beasts."

Goliath's ears lowered, before soon nodding in agreement. They couldn't leave the corpse to be eaten by Dino scavengers. The two of them managed to dig a hole into the dirt big enough for the skeleton, placing it inside the hole then covering him up, Hudson murmuring a small prayer in Scottish language, hoping to guide the poor spirit home.

One last thing they had found in the backpack too before heading back was a compass which thankfully still worked, Goliath figuring Lexington would be able to use something like this. The two friends soon made their way back, also stopping at a fresh stream to fill up the canteen of water. From across, Hudson spotted what looked like a Triceratops family with two little ones with them. He coudn't help but feel a small smile tugging at his lips. Somehow, despite these dinosaurs being genetically created, they found a way to reproduce without the help of scientists.

After some time going to their cave hideout, the two oldest gargoyles finally returned to see the others still where they left them; Brooklyn breathing raspily and Lexington's face looking paler than normal from blood loss.

Angela gasped softly when hearing the footsteps, looking up at the sight of her father back, a relieved smile on her face. Goliath held out the first aid kit. "We found this. I'm sure this could be of use."

She nods eagerly, taking it with a relieved sigh. She opened the box to find the bandages, instantly pulling them out and going to wrap up Brooklyn's side. "Easy Brooklyn. This should help better than leaves." Angela said with a light chuckle.

Hudson brought over the canteen of now full water, allowing Brooklyn to drink it. After finishing with Brooklyn's wound, Angela got out the sewing needle and got to work on Lexington next. "This might hurt and you will probably not be able to glide for at least a week." Angela advised. Lex rolls his eyes but grins. "Hey, better than being torn apart by that maniac Spiny." He said in a joke.

The clan continued to remain huddled there in the cave for a while longer, Goliath knowing soon they would have to find some way of contacting home, and wondering if Elisa and Bronx were doing ok without them there.

...

Meanwhile, back in Manhattan, Elisa herself had been at the castle with Bronx who was whining and sniffing the old scents of his clan. Elisa petted his head, worry etched on her features.

She had heard from Xanatos about Goliath and the others having been missing for three days now, and that it had been the Quarrymen responsible. Her eyes narrowed, deciding that right away she will figure out where her Goliath had been taken, and will do whatever it took to find them all, petting Bronx's head.

"I know boy. But they'll be ok, I know they will." Elisa reassured softly while Bronx licked her hand, continuing to whine, missing the sound of Hudson's voice, hoping he was safe wherever he was.
