~~~Chapter Sixteen~~~

~~~Previous~~~

"Then I…Red Hekate!" Risa places down her card.

Yuugi lets out a gasp. "One of the three witch sisters' cards just like Violet Hekate! I can't believe you have such as rare card!"

"This is why you were after Violet Hekate," I comment with narrowed eyes.

The hologram of Red Hekate appears. She releases fire, destroying Yuugi's Sleeping Worm. Anzu and Yuugi let out a surprised gasp.

"What was that just now?" Anzu questions.

"It has a small machine installed. It creates illusions of the card." Risa states with a smirk.

Yuugi snaps out of his shock and looks down at his cards. "My next card is…Clock card. Now under time's influence…Sleeping Worm is revived. And it grows into 1700 attack point Iron Beetle."

Risa lets out a scoff. "How cheeky." She throws down her next card. "Yellow Hekate!"

"It can't be! Two mystical witch cards?" Yuugi exclaims, surprised.

"It makes sense they would want all three sisters," I add when I see both cards.

"Red Hekate and Yellow Hekate are sisters." The one on the left starts.

"When the two are together, their powers are multiplied." The one on the right adds.

"Iron Beetle is no match!" Risa finishes.

Fire surrounds Iron Beetle, and he is destroyed. Yuugi holds out a hand before he sways to the side. "It's no use…"

Anzu catches him. "Yuugi, are you okay?"

I place my hand on Yuugi's forehead. "His temperature has risen again."

The one on the left starts laughing. "The duel is as good as over."

The one on the right stands up. "At last, the three witch sisters will be together."

"When shall it be?" Risa queries. "That we three can be seen again.

"Calm the disturbance."

"Winning and losing battle."

"And then…" Risa starts but is cut off.

"Then…" A male says as I hear footsteps. "…let's finish this before sunset."

"What?" They exclaim, surprised.

"Lines from Macbeth's three witches? It truly fits you." The figure comes out of the shadows to show that it is Kaiba. "Kageyama, three sisters."

"Kaiba-kun!" Yuugi exclaims, surprised.

Kaiba looks at Yuugi. "Yuugi. These three sisters are famous in the Duel Monsters world. They will use any method for obtaining cards they want."

"Kaiba!" Risa calls out.

Kaiba walks over to Yuugi. "Well. Why not let me take over for this duel?" He stops next to Yuugi.

"You?" Risa queries.

"If you win, you can have all my cards." Kaiba offers. He places a large case on the table. "And…I'll give you an advantage. The Violet Hekate card…will be added to your deck."

The three sisters laugh.

Yuugi gets out of his seat, and Kaiba sits down. "This is a favourable situation, right?"

"Okay." Risa agrees. "You better not regret this."

"Duel." Kaiba looks at his cards. "First Cyclops. Attack points 1200."

"Fool. It's no match for Hekate!" Risa taunts.

The Cyclops is destroyed.

"First, we defeat Kaiba…then we three sisters will stand on the top of the Duel Monsters world!" Risa comments smugly.

"We'll see about that. Next…" Kaiba takes his next card. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Attack power 3000. Duel Monster's most powerful card."

"Th-this is the rumoured…" The one on the right starts.

"Blue-Eyes White Dragon?" The one on the left finishes.

Risa sits down. "But we have a trump card!" She holds up a card. "Violet Hekate. When the three witches combine…the legendary Gorgon is born. And her attack power is…the same as Blue-Eyes White Dragon's! But this is a forest field. It raises the witches' power. Even if they strike each other down, Gorgon will not die."

A smirk appears on Kaiba's face as he reaches for his next card. He picks up the next card, and I see his eyes narrow. He holds the card up. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

"What?" Risa exclaims, surprised.

"Blue-Eyes White Dragon…" The one on the right starts.

"…two of them?" The one on the left finishes.

Yuugi lets out a gasp. The hologram shows the two Blue-Eyes White Dragons defeating the Gorgon. "He did it!" Yuugi cheers.

"We lost…" Risa trails off in disbelief.

"It can't be!" The one on the right denies it.

"The three Hekate sisters…" The one on the left trails off.

Yuugi looks at Kaiba with a confused look on his face. "Kaiba-kun…but why?"

Kaiba stands up. "You are a man who should not lose to these types." He walks off.

"Kaiba-kun," Yuugi calls out as he stands up and gazes at Kaiba's back.

"Don't forget." Kaiba stops. "The one to defeat you…has to be me." He laughs as he walks off.

I let out a sigh and shook my head. "Another one that isn't honest with his feelings." I look at Yuugi. "Let's head back home. You need to get back into bed and rest. No arguing."

Yuugi looks at me with a pout on his face. "Alright, Isis-nee."

Yuugi takes back his Violet Hekate card, and we head back to the shop. Anzu heads back home. Yuugi and I head inside, and we head straight to bed.

~~~Present~~~

Inside a dim-lit hospital room, an EKG machine beep in turn with a person's heartbeat. The heartbeat gradually slows down before it flatlines. A Doctor lowers his head. "I'm sorry."

A man, a woman, and a high school girl, who are surrounding the deceased person's bed, kneel and let out a wail. "Father!"

"Don't die!" The woman wails.

The Doctor turns around and walks away with his arms folded behind his back. He exits via the door. The door closes behind him, and he comes to a stop. He stands in the middle of the corridor, his arms lowered. He lifts his clenched fist and makes a swing motion, like a person playing golf. He looks down with a smirk before walking off. "So…what time does tomorrow's competition start?"

He walks down the hall, still practising golf swing as he does, not caring about the family mourning.

"Hey, hey. They say another of Gouyuu-sensei's patients has died." A nurse mutters.

Another nurse lets out a thoughtful sound. "That seems like a lot."

~~~Isis's POV~~~

~~~Next Day~~~

Yuugi and I finished school, and instead of hanging around with Honda, Jounouchi, Anzu, and Miho, we headed to the shopping area. We head to a bookstore, where I pick up a few more books, more pet treats for Hedwig and Padfoot, and some more snacks and such for myself as I have begun to run out.

"Want an ice cream, Yuugi?" I query softly.

Yuugi's eyes light up, and he nods his head happily. "I do, Isis-nee."

I let out a soft chuckle. "What flavour do you want this time?"

"Vanilla!" Yuugi exclaims happily.

I look around and see the ice cream shop. "There isn't a long queue, so getting them shouldn't take long; I'll have the same ice cream as you, Yuugi."

I had over the money, and Yuugi happily walked inside the store, a skip in his step. I let out a soft chuckle. A few minutes later, Yuugi comes out with our ice creams, holding them with concentration. No doubt hoping not to drop them as he can be clumsy sometimes.

"Here, Isis-nee!" Yuugi holds out my ice cream.

I take it. "Thank you, Yuugi."

Yuugi happily licks his ice cream, not noticing where he is going. I look in front of me and blink my eyes in surprise when I see a certain someone inside a certain store they normally wouldn't be seen in.

"Yuugi, look. Over there." I point out softly.

Yuugi follows my gaze. His eyes widen in surprise. "It's Jounouchi-kun."

Jounouchi pokes his head out of the store before heading back inside.

"What's he doing at this shop?" Yuugi questions.

"A present? Maybe? For a female…I think." I ponder.

We watch Jounouchi walk backwards out of the store, holding a large pink teddy bear. We share a look before walking over to him. "Jounouchi-kun!/ Jounouchi!" We call out at the same time.

Jounouchi jumps slightly in surprise and panics when he sees us.

"What a big stuffed toy! Is it yours, Jounouchi-kun?" Yuugi queries.

"Or a present for someone else? A female?" I tease with a soft chuckle.

Jounouchi waves his arms about before hiding the bear behind his back. "You idiot, it isn't!"

"It's cute! Let me see!" Yuugi asks teasingly.

Yuugi walks towards Jounouchi. Jounouchi turns around, keeping the bear behind his back. "Quit it! It's not that big a deal. I'm in a hurry!"

"Yuugi, be careful," I warn urgently.

It was too late. While holding his ice cream, Yuugi's hand hits a person walking toward him. Yuugi looks behind him with wide eyes. "S-s-sorry!" Yuugi rummages inside his trouser pocket.

"This is terrible." One of the males states.

Yuugi takes out his handkerchief. "I'm sorry." Yuugi reaches out with his handkerchief.

The male that Yuugi bangs into smacks Yuugi's hand away. Yuugi looks at him with wide eyes. "The fee for this is going to be high."

"Wait," Jounouchi calls out, walking forward.

"What?" The male exclaims when he sees a pink teddy bear in front of his face.

"Go play with your dolls somewhere else!" Another male taunt.

Jounouchi lowers the teddy bear and shows his face with a smirk. "Want to play with me?"

The three males look at Jounouchi. Jounouchi narrows his eyes.

I let out a sigh. Yuugi and I wait at the top of the alleyway as fighting can be heard behind us. It isn't long before the fighting stops. Footsteps head towards us. We both turn to look.

Yuugi's eyes light up. "Jounouchi-kun!"

"Finished?" I query.

Jounouchi lets out a sigh. "Man! That took some time."

"Are you okay, Jounouchi-kun?" Yuugi asks worriedly.

"Yeah. It's nothing." Jounouchi denies it as he stops in front of us.

"You're injured." I point out.

Jounouchi shrugs. "Nothing to worry about."

Suddenly, the head of the teddy bear rolls off and lands on the floor. Jounouchi lets out a yell of surprise before leaning down and picking the head up. "I finally got a loan from the super-miser Honda to buy that! Wh-what should I do?"

"I'm sorry. It's my fault. I'll pay you back." Yuugi offers.

I let out a sigh. "You two. Give it here. I have a sewing kit in my bag. I'll sew the head back on."

"Really?" Yuugi and Jounouchi exclaim at the same time.

I removed my sewing kit and quickly sewed the head back on, and it looked new. "There we are. All fixed."

"Thank you!" Jounouchi takes the teddy bear back. Jounouchi looks at us hesitantly before opening his mouth and speaking up. "Yuugi…Isis…please come with me!"

Yuugi and I share a confused look, but we follow Jounouchi onto a train. We find a seat, and we sit down. Jounouchi finally tells us who the teddy bear is for.

"Little sister? Jounouchi-kun has a little sister?" Yuugi queries.

"Is that who the teddy bear is for?" I question.

"Yeah. It is for her. She's Shizuka. My father and mother got divorced six years ago. Shizuka went with Mother." Jounouchi lowers his head and closes his eyes. "However, she's always been frail. She always goes in and out of hospitals."

"You visit her often?" I query.

"You sure are kind, Jounouchi-kun." Yuugi praises.

"What a good brother you are." I tease softly.

Jounouchi looks away, a small blush on his face. "N-not, really. I just can't do anything. Just…I want to make Shizuka smile more. And today happens to be her birthday."

"You should have said so sooner. We would have brought something." Yuugi says with a pout.

"It's embarrassing! I can't say that! I get nothing out of it." Jounouchi denies.

I let out a soft chuckle. "We can pick her up some flowers."

Yuugi nods his head. "Yeah."

"Listen. Keep it secret from everyone." Jounouchi orders urgently.

"Yeah." Yuugi and I agree at the same time.

~~~At the Hospital~~~

We get to the hospital as the sun begins to set. We headed inside, but not before I picked up some flowers. We follow Jounouchi to Shizuka's room.

Yuugi and Jounouchi open the door, wearing red bowties. "Hello!" Both call out, grins on their faces.

I gave a soft chuckle as they stood at the end of Shizuka's bed.

Jounouchi looks at Yuugi with a smiling face. "Recently, everyone was playing cards."

Yuugi nods his head, also with a smiling face. "Right, right."

"So, our old man is a nut." Yuugi nods his head and lets out a faint sound of agreement. "He carelessly showed his cards to the neighbouring old lady!" Yuugi lets out an amazed sound. "This is a true old maid!"

"All right!" They both cheer.

They stay frozen on the spot before Shizuka snaps out of it and laughs with her hand over her mouth.

Shizuka has long lilac hair and blue eyes. She is wearing a white hospital gown.

I enter the room with flowers and a teddy bear in one hand. Jounouchi takes the bear, walks to the top of the bed, and holds the bear out. "Shizuka. Here. Present."

"And here are some flowers," I add softly.

Shizuka blinks, surprised. "Oh, thank you." She takes the rose and freesia flower bouquet. She places them at the side and the teddy bear on the floor. "I'm glad you came, Onii-chan. Today, Mama said she'd be late with work. Shizuka thought she would be by herself. Thank you."

Jounouchi smiles down at her with a soft look in his eyes. "Shizuka."

Shizuka looks at Jounouchi with wide eyes. "But you're so badly hurt."

Jounouchi's eyes widen before they go back to normal. "Oh. This? It's nothing!" He denies. "Anyway. These are my classmates, Yuugi and Isis."

"Pleased to meet you!" Yuugi and I greet at the same time with a smile.

Shizuka smiles back. "Pleased to meet you. I'm sure Onii-chan forced you to come. I'm sorry."

"No." Yuugi denies it, his hand on the back of his head.

I let out a soft chuckle. "No, he didn't force us to. We wanted to."

"Onii-chan, you." Shizuka scolds teasingly.

I hear footsteps just before a nurse with red hair enters the room. "Shizuka-chan. It's medicine time. Oh? Friends?"

"It's Onii-chan and his friends," Shizuka replies. "Onii-chan. This is the nurse currently in charge of me, Miyuki-san."

"Hi." Jounouchi greets with a small blush on his face.

Miyuki's eyes widen, and she lets out a surprised sound. "What terrible wounds. What happened?"

Jounouchi places a hand on the side of his head with a sheepish look. "That…I just sort of fell."

Miyuki puts Shizuka's medicine down. "I'll treat them. Come." Miyuki orders.

I let out a soft chuckle as Jounouchi followed after her. It isn't long before Jounouchi comes back, his wound patched up. We speak with Shizuka for a while before leaving when it gets dark.

Shizuka waves from her opened window. We wave back. "Later!" Yuugi calls out.

We turn around and begin walking off.

"We'll come with you to visit again," I comment.

"Yeah." Jounouchi walks in a daze and places a hand on his cheek.

I let out a soft chuckle and shared a look with Yuugi before we walked silently.

~~~3rd POV~~~

~~~Back at the Hospital~~~

Miyuki walks down the corridor. Her eyes widen when a golf club appears in front of her. She stops and looks to see Gouyuu standing there with a smirk. "Sensei. Going golfing again?"

He lowers his club. "Man, my drive sure was good today. Miyuki-kun, I wish you could have seen it. It's like the goal was sucking it in." He takes a swing.

"Sensei. Number 302, Minagawa-san. Did you forget it's important that he's watched?" Miyuki queries.

Gouyuu turns to look at her, a smirk still on his face. "Work is work. Recreation is recreation."

"I see." Miyuki doesn't look at him impressed. She turns away and takes a step forward.

She is stopped when Gouyuu holds his club in front of her again. "Miyuki-kun, you don't need to work so hard. It's not good for your body. What do you think? You can accept my invitations just once."

"Sensei. I'm busy." Miyuki pushes the club out of the way and walks off without hesitation.

Gouyuu looks at her back. A nasty smirk slowly appears on his face.

~~~Next Day~~~

~~~Isis's POV~~~

We head to the hospital again. This time, Shizuka is sitting outside. "Shizuka," Jounouchi calls out.

She looks up, surprised. "Onii-chan! You came again?"

"No…actually. They just wanted to come." Jounouchi replies.

"Hello!" Yuugi, Anzu, Honda, Miho, and I greet simultaneously.

"They're all my classmates. Yuugi blabbed to them." Jounouchi admits.

Yuugi laughs. "Well. Keeping it a secret would make you seem too stand-offish."

"No reason to keep this sort of thing a secret," I add softly.

"Yeah!" Honda agrees. "If you told me the real reason, I would have given you the money."

"Money?" Shizuka repeats, confused.

Jounouchi's eyes widen, and he quickly places a hand over Honda's mouth. "Idiot!"

I hear footsteps heading towards us. "Oh? How lively."

"Hello." Yuugi and I greet.

"Hello." Miyuki greets before looking at Jounouchi. "Jounouchi-kun. Come to the nurse's centre later. I'll change your gauze." She turns around. "Bye." She walks off.

Jounouchi gazes at her back in a daze.

"How far did you go with that nurse?" Miho questions, snapping Jounouchi out of it.

Jounouchi turns around and looks at her. "You idiot! What are you saying?" He demands.

Anzu looks at him with a dry look on her face. "I see."

"Fool! I haven't done anything yet!" Jounouchi denies. We all look at him. He looks at us one by one. "What's with you guys?"

Honda folds his arms across his chest, and a grin appears. "Don't force yourself. You have 'crush' written on your face."

Jounouchi looks at Honda with wide eyes. "Who does?"

"Onii-chan," Shizuka calls out. "Miyuki-san says she doesn't have a boyfriend."

Jounouchi abruptly turns and looks at Shizuka, embarrassed. "Shizuka!"

Yuugi laughs happily. "Jounouchi-kun, chance!"

"Hurry and go." Anzu orders.

"Good luck," I tease.

"You guys!" Jounouchi glares at us, embarrassed.

Honda stands next to Jounouchi, his arms still folded across his chest. "Can't be helped. I'll guide you as a relationship expert." He places a hand on Jounouchi's shoulder. "Come." He drags him in the other direction.

"W-who is an expert? Let go!" Jounouchi demands.

Miho waves her arm in the air. "Jounouchi-kun! Introduce Miho to a handsome doctor!"

It isn't long before Jounouchi and Honda come back. Jounouchi keeps on shooting glares at Honda. I let out a sigh. Honda must have done something to make Jounouchi look bad in front of Miyuki.

~~~3rd POV~~~

~~~Back at the Hospital~~~

As the sunset, Miyuki is walking up a set of stairs. A hand suddenly appears on her shoulder. She stops and looks up. "Sensei…"

Gouyuu is standing there, looking at her with a smirk. "I've finally got a reservation at the Hokkaido Dream Course." He holds up tickets between his fingers. "Want to take a vacation and go? I've got a golf set already for you."

Miyuki slaps his hand off her shoulder and glares at him. "How unbelievable! Are you just going to abandon the patients?"

Gouyuu takes a step forward. "If I have to schedule around the patients, I'll never get a day off. I was promised the seat as the future head of the department. Try not to embarrass yourself. It's for your sake." He moves closer to Miyuki. "You understand how I feel, right?"

A hand appears on Gouyuu's shoulder. He turns to see Jounouchi. "Quit it with the shameful behaviour. If you're such a big Sensei."

"You bastard." Gouyuu curses.

Miyuki suddenly slaps Gouyuu's face. His glasses fall from his face and land on the floor. "Gouyuu-sensei! Though we're both in medicine, I'm different from you, Sensei! Please don't ever talk to me again." Miyuki bows. "Excuse me." She turns around and walks off.

"M-Miyuki-san!" Jounouchi calls out before running after her; his arm stretched out before him.

Gouyuu reaches down and picks up his glasses. He gets his purple handkerchief and wipes his glasses before putting them back on. "Cheeky nurse." He looks in the direction Miyuki walks off in with a nasty smirk on his face. "Very well. You're going to regret it."

~~~Next Day~~~

~~~At School~~~

As soon as school ends, Anzu, Honda, Miho, Yuugi, and I watch Jounouchi walk out of the school with his head lowered.

Anzu lets out a sigh. "Jounouchi. He's been blue since that day."

"He's badly hurt." Honda points out.

"He should have quickly brought in the kill." Miho comments.

We sweatdrop while Anzu looks at Miho in disbelief. "You!"

"Jounouchi-kun," Yuugi mutters, worried.

I let out a sigh. "Don't worry. He will snap out of it eventually."

Yuugi nods his head hesitantly.

Yuugi and I leave school and see Jounouchi walking down the street. "Jounouchi-kun/ Jounouchi." Yuugi and I call out.

Jounouchi stops and turns to look back at us. "Yuugi, Isis."

Yuugi opens his mouth before closing it again. He snaps out of it and looks at Jounouchi, determination shining. "Hey. Do you remember what the old Jounouchi-kun used to say to me?"

"Huh?" Jounouchi looks at Yuugi, confused.

Yuugi takes a deep breath with his eyes closed. "You're not being manly!" Yuugi shouts. Yuugi looks at Jounouchi and lets out a small laugh.

Jounouchi looks at Yuugi with narrowed eyes before he closes his eyes, and a smile appears. "Right." He turns his head to the side. "That's true; I'm not." Jounouchi opens his eyes and looks down at Yuugi. "Alright! I'll do my best breakthrough!"

"Yeah!" Yuugi agrees, nodding his head happily.

Jounouchi lifts his hand and looks at the money inside. He looks up, lifts his hand, and moves closer to the florist. "Excuse me! I want to buy this!"

I let out a soft chuckle. "I told you he would snap out of it."

"Yeah!" Yuugi nods his head happily.

~~~At the Hospital~~~

We head inside the hospital and silently walk down the corridor until Jounouchi breaks it. "Y-Yuugi, I-Isis. Is my face strained looking?"

"A bit," Yuugi admits.

"You need to relax." I scold softly.

Jounouchi smacks his cheek lightly a couple of times before letting out a sigh.

"Onii-chan!" Shizuka calls out.

We look up to see her running toward us with a worried look.

"Shizuka!" Jounouchi calls out.

Shizuka stops in front of us. "Miyuki-san…Miyuki-san was forced to quit the hospital."

Yuugi and Jounouchi let out a surprised sound.

I narrow my eyes. "Why?"

"Because Miyuki-san forgot Sensei's orders…a patient was put in danger, it seems. I don't believe it, but…Sensei said that when he gave the order, Miyuki-san was with a man in the nurse centre, so she forgot." Shizuka replies sadly.

~~~3rd POV~~~

Jounouchi storms up the stairs. He stops at the top with narrowed eyes. "That time!"

Jounouchi remembers what happened. Miyuki bowed and walked off, and he ran after her. "Miyuki-san!"

Jounouchi snaps out of it and looks down the corridor. "After that…"

Jounouchi remembers walking behind her. "Miyuki-san…umm…

Miyuki stops and looks back at him. "Do you want something?"

Jounouchi bows. "I'm sorry about before. I didn't mean any harm."

Miyuki looks at him with wide eyes before her eyes soften, and a smile appears. "Come."

Jounouchi looks up at her.

"I'll change your gauze." Miyuki offers.

Jounouchi follows her, and his gauze is changed.

The pair didn't realise that Gouyuu was looking at them through one of the windows.

Jounouchi snaps out of it. That bastard…

Jounouchi storms to his office and opens the door.

Gouyuu is sitting at his desk cleaning his golf club. "What is it?"

Jounouchi storms inside. "You bastard!" He bangs his hand on the desk. "You fired Miyuki-san because she turned you down! What's the meaning of this?"

Gouyuu looks at him with a smirk permanently etched on his face. "What? How silly. She made a mistake. This is how we deal with it."

Jounouchi narrows his eyes and glares at him. "Shut up! When Miyuki-san and I were at the nurse centre…you didn't give any orders! I'm a witness. I'll expose everything! Including the part where you were hitting on Miyuki-san!"

Gouyuu has his eyes closed, and he continues cleaning his club. "Then…your little sister might no longer be in this hospital." Jounouchi looks at him with wide eyes. "Even if what you say puts me in a bad spot…I can get rid of a patient still."

"You…" Jounouchi trails off angrily.

"Your little sister is still under observation. That examination is best with this hospital's latest equipment. Too bad." Gouyuu taunts.

Jounouchi clenches his teeth and glares at Gouyuu, sweatdropping.

Gouyuu points his club at Jounouchi's face. "What'll you do? Do you want this hospital to keep treating your little sister? You decide."

Jounouchi lets out a tch and rushes out of the room, slamming the door behind him. Gouyuu lets out a scoff and goes back to cleaning his club.

~~~Isis's POV~~~

Jounouchi runs out of the hospital without saying anything. Yuugi and I share a look before running after him. "Jounouchi-kun!/ Jounouchi!"

We stopped near the beach. Jounouchi punches his fist against a tree with his head lowered. "Yuugi…Isis…I…I…I have to keep my mouth shut."

"Jounouchi-kun…" Yuugi trails off.

I narrow my eyes. "He is threatening you about your little sister, isn't he?"

"I…" Jounouchi trails off, keeping quiet.

His silence to my question is answered enough. Disgusting man.

Yuugi let out a low gasp. I follow his gaze to see tears roll down Jounouchi's cheek.

The puzzle glows, and Yami takes over. He turns, and his shadow extends, the third eye glowing gold in the centre. I close my eyes and watch as Yami's shadow searches the hospital before finding Gouyuu in his office.

I share a look with Yami, and we head towards it.

~~~3rd POV~~~

Gouyuu sits at his desk, still cleaning his club while on the phone. "Yeah. I'm joining the competition. Of course, I put off the surgery. The nurse? I had her quit. She turned me down. That's the natural penalty for that."

His eyes widen when he hears his voice playing back at him, repeating what he just said.

~~~Isis's POV~~~

Yami and I lean against Gouyuu's office door. Yami holds up the recorder that he plays. Gouyuu stops speaking on the phone and looks at us with wide eyes.

"You bastards! You heard that conversation?" Gouyuu demands.

"We heard, Sensei." I taunt.

"Now…it's game time," Yami adds.

I close my eyes briefly and use my magic to sense the conversation between Shizuka and Jounouchi. "Onii-chan. Miyuki-san said she's leaving the city today. If you go to the station now, you can still catch her. I don't know what happened, but…Onii-chan…I just don't want you to have any regrets."

"Shizuka…" Jounouchi trails off as he looks at the flowers.

I open my eyes and lean against the wall as Yami and Gouyuu stand in the middle of the corridor.

"Golf here?" Gouyuu questions.

Yami holds up two golf balls. "It's your speciality, right, Sensei? We'll use these plastic balls. The prize is the tape from before. You decide the course."

A smirk appears on Gouyuu's face. "Very well. The course to the nurse centre directly under us. So…your club?"

Yami walks forward and takes the stethoscope from around Gouyuu's neck. "This will do."

Gouyuu laughs. "Well then, the match is decided before it starts!" He bangs the club against his other palm. "Let me warn you. My skill is on par with the pros. Well, just watch." He swings, and it flies down the corridor.

"Nice shot." Yami praises. "Then I'm next." Yami kneels and stretches out the stethoscope. He releases the end, which hits the ball. The ball flies down the corridor, bouncing off the wall and entering an opened door.

Gouyuu laughs. "Out of bounds? I'm going on ahead. Come as soon as possible." He walks off laughing.

Yami and I share a look before heading off in the other direction. We make it to the nurse centre at the same time Gouyuu does. Yami's ball rolls out and stops in front of Gouyuu's.

"What?" Gouyuu exclaims, surprised.

Yami leans against the wall, hands inside his pockets. "The hospital has something quite handy."

"Especially inside that certain room," I add.

Gouyuu's eyes widen. "The nurse centre's mail drop?"

Yami smirks. "Hole-in-one. I win. You may be knowledgeable in golf courses…but you don't know your way around the hospital course."

"You bastard!" Gouyuu curses. He lifts his club and walks toward us. "Give that tape back!"

I narrow my eyes. "Yami," I call out.

"I know," Yami replies.

Gouyuu brings his club down. We both move out of the way. The club hits the floor, and the end snaps off. Gouyuu falls forward with a yell. He rolls forward and lands on his back.

A gold eye appears on Yami's forehead. "The door of darkness has opened."

Gouyuu rolls over to his stomach. The surgery door opens, and people begin staggering out. "Sensei…" They surround him. "Sensei…"

He lets out a scream. Yami and I share a look before we turn around and walk away.

~~~3rd POV~~~

~~~At the Station~~~

Jounouchi rushes to the station, and his eyes widen when he sees Miyuki with her luggage. "Miyuki-san!"

She looks behind her. "Jounouchi-kun!"

Jounouchi, who has his head lowered. Breathing heavily lifts his head once he regains his breath. "Miyuki-san. Please return to the hospital. I'll prove it wasn't your mistake."

"Jounouchi-kun…" Miyuki trails off.

"Miyuki-san. I…I…" Jounouchi holds out the flowers. "…please take this!" He lets out a gasp when he notices the flowers are gone.

Miyuki reaches out and takes the flowers anyway. "Thank you. But I…had decided beforehand to quit that hospital."

"But…" Jounouchi trails off.

A man walks over. Miyuki looks at him with a smile, while Jounouchi looks at him with a surprised face. Miyuki looks at Jounouchi. "I'm going with this Sensei to a tiny clinic on an island. I'm sure the work will be good." Miyuki holds up her hand. "Come visit on your summer vacation, okay? Give my best to Shizuka-chan, too. So…Goodbye!" She walks off with the man.

Jounouchi stands there with his head lowered and arms down by his sides. "Miyuki-san."

~~~Next Day~~~

~~~At the Hospital~~~

"I'm joining the competition. Of course, I put off the surgery." Gouyuu's voice is heard through the tape.

"That's right. I like golf more than my patients!" Gouyuu agrees, his eyes wide. He laughs as a nurse, and patients look down at him as he lies on the floor.

~~~Isis's POV~~~

We sneak to the hospital before Jounouchi and enter Shizuka's room.

It isn't long before the door opens. "Shizuka! I brought cake!" Jounouchi calls out.

The others use party poppers, which release confetti that lands on Jounouchi. "Congratulations on your appearance!"

"Wh-what?" Jounouchi says in disbelief.

"It was a splendid defeat," Anzu states with a smile.

Miho wipes her eyes. "It was too bad."

"Jounouchi-kun, in times like this…" Yuugi starts.

"…It's best to go through it with everyone, right?" I finish.

Jounouchi looks at us with blank eyes. "You guys!"

"Onii-chan. Everyone was worried about you, Onii-chan." Shizuka points out.

Honda walks forward and places a hand on Jounouchi's shoulder. "That's right, Jounouchi. I greatly understand how you feel. You can cry! Here on this beautification member's chest!"

Jounouchi looks at Honda with narrowed eyes. "Honda…you…you're smiling!"

Honda laughs.

"Honestly, you, too, never stop," I comment with a sigh. Oh well, at least Jounouchi is feeling better compared to before.
