~~~Chapter Twenty-Four~~~

Mokuba's face pales. "It can't be…it can't be that Nii-sama is putting me through the hellish experience?" Smoke fills the box, and monsters appear before Mokuba, causing him to scream.
Isis narrows her eyes at Kaiba before looking at Mokuba.
Yami stops and looks back toward the box. "Mokuba!" I can't believe Kaiba would put his little brother through a punishment game.
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
Elsewhere, Jounouchi and Miho run down a dark corridor. They come to a stop, breathing heavily. "Damn it…where is that Honda? And Yuugi and Isis's jii-san."
Footsteps are heard, causing Miho to look behind her, surprised. "B-Bakura-kun?"
"B-Bakura!" Jounouchi exclaims, surprised. "Y-you! What are you doing here?"
Bakura doesn't answer. He just lifts a finger and points to the side.
"It can't be; Honda is over there?" Jounouchi queries. Jounouchi looks in front of him before looking around, confused.
"Bakura-kun?" Miho questions, confused as he has disappeared.
"F-for now, let's check. Let's go, Miho!" Jounouchi orders before running in that direction.
"Yeah!" Miho agrees before running after him.
~~~Isis's POV~~~
Mokuba continues to scream from inside the box. I narrow my eyes before rushing forward.
"My Queen?" Yami calls out as I run past him.
I ignore him and rush over to the box. I hold out my hand. "Mokuba!" I call out softly. "Take my hand!"
My hand is taken, and I gently pull him from the box, Mokuba landing in my arms. He looks up at me. "You are…Isis."
"Are you alright, little one?" I question softly.
He hesitantly nods his head. "Why? Why did you help me?"
My eyes soften. "Why shouldn't I?"
"That…" Mokuba trails off.
Yami walks over and looks down at Mokuba. "I won the game because I have friends that reach out their hands to me."
"Friends?" Mokuba repeats. Yami and I walk forward and hear Mokuba fall to his knees.
~~~3rd POV~~~
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
Jounouchi and Miho enter the door and let out a gasp. "This is…! Honda! Jii-san!"
In the middle of the room is an hourglass with Honda and Sugoroku unconscious at the bottom, lying in the water.
~~~With Kaiba~~~
Kaiba closes the briefcase filled with cards before standing up. "Let's go! Death-T Five. The final stage! I will have my revenge in full here."
~~~With Mokuba~~~
He gazes at Yami's and Isis's back in surprise as they walk toward the elevator leading to Death-T Five. "Y-Yuugi…I-Isis…"

~~~Yuugi's POV~~~
Kaiba Corporation's young leader, Kaiba Seto-kun…to defeat me, he completes Japan's largest amusement park, Kaiba Land. And we go there…
To save my captured jii-chan…We are challenged with Kaiba-kun's devilish game, Death T. But…
~~~3rd POV~~~
Mokuba's eyes widen when he remembers Kaiba's words. "Mokuba! You will always lose until you give up your pointless sibling sympathy!"
He clenches his eyes and teeth and places his hand on the sides of his head. "Damn it!"
He lowers his hand and opens his eyes. He reaches into his shirt and takes out a photograph of him and Kaiba, younger, playing chess together. "Nii-sama…Somewhere along the line, he changed. It's like the devil of games possessed him."
Yami and Isis enter the elevator. Mokuba gazes at the elevator as the doors close. Yuugi…If it's you, Nii-sama…
Isis gazes up at Yami before placing a hand on his arm. Yami gazes down at her before looking in front of him with narrowed eyes. Kaiba…Everyone's hurt because of you. Images of Jounouchi, Anzu, Miho, Honda, and their jii-chan.
The elevator comes to a stop, and the doors open. Yami and Isis walk out before stopping in front of the centre of the platform. The elevator doors on the other side of the platform open, and Kaiba is standing there.
Kaiba steps out of the elevator with a smirk on his face. "Welcome to the final stage, Yuugi-kun."
"You are the only one I cannot forgive." Yami comments.
Isis lets out a sigh. "I know." She agrees softly.
~~~In the crowd~~~
Anzu looks at the screen, worried. "Hang in there, Yuugi."
Bakura walks out from the back and gazes in front of him. It begins. The final battle.
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
Miho bangs her fists against the glass. "Ojii-chan! Honda-kun!" She calls out.
Jounouchi also places his hand on the glass. "Jii-san!"
Honda's eyes are suddenly open. He lets out a surprised sound and sits up. He notices Jounouchi and Miho. "Jounouchi!" He looks around, confused. "Where is this?" He notices Yuugi's and Isis's jii-chan, lifts him and shakes his shoulders. "Jii-san! Hey, Jii-san! Wake up!"
He opens his eyes, though he doesn't fully seem aware.
"We'll save you right now!" Jounouchi calls out.
Honda lets out a sound before a platform appears beneath them, and they ascend upwards. Miho and Jounouchi let out a low gasp when they disappeared. An elevator opens, and Ryuichi and Aileen are standing there.
"Y-you!" Jounouchi calls out, surprised.
"Fuwa-kun!" Miho calls out with wide eyes.
"Why are you here?" Jounouchi questions.
Ryuichi lets out a scoff. "Let me reintroduce myself. One of Kaiba's Shitennou, Fuwa Ryuichi."
Aileen takes a step forward. "The same; Shitennou queen, Aileen Rao. Battle suit on!" She throws off her clothes to show a one-piece suit. A glass capsule covers her, and gold armour covers her legs.
"W-What?" Jounouchi exclaims.
The same armour covers her upper body. The capsule ascends off her. Jounouchi lets out a surprised sound when a capsule falls over him and is left covered with white/silver armour. Miho lets out a surprised sound when she is moved backwards and is trapped inside a capsule, banging on the glass.
"What is going on?" Jounouchi demands.
Ryuichi is placed in the other capsule, similar to Miho. "If you want to save the old man and your friend, you must win the game. The rules are simple. It's a fighting game. I will control Aileen. That woman will control you."
Miho moves her hand on the joystick in front of her. "Control?"
Jounouchi's eyes widen as his body is moved by itself.
"Let's go, Aileen!" Ryuichi calls out.
Aileen jumps forward and kicks Jounouchi. Jounouchi flies backwards and bangs into Miho's capsule. Miho lets out a gasp of surprise as she looks down at him.
Ryuichi lets out a laugh. "Careful. The one who loses their life points loses."
Jounouchi stands. "Wait a moment! Why do I have to fight? If Yuugi wins, won't he get his jii-san back?"
"Are you stupid? There's no way Kaiba-sama will lose." Ryuichi denies. "Anyway, let us enjoy the game. Go, Aileen!"
She jumps in the air. Jounouchi's eyes widen when she rushes forward, and she punches him in the cheek, his head turning to the side with the impact.
~~~With Yami, Isis, and Kaiba~~~
Yami and Kaiba sit down while Isis stands at the side.
"At this point, words are pointless. The only thing to decide our fate is the cards." Kaiba holds up his card deck before placing it on the table.
Yami holds his card deck. "Mine are my jii-chan's cards with his soul in them." He places them down.
"Before the game, we will cut and shuffle each other's cards," Kaiba states. Yami takes Kaiba's card, and Kaiba takes Yami's cards. They shuffle the cards.
Kaiba gazes at Yami. Despite your rush, you put up a good form. But this will be your grave. My deck has the three most powerful cards: admirable Blue Eyes White Dragons. No card in this world is greater.
Yami gazes back. I believe in my jii-chan's cards. I will win.
"Duel!" Kaiba calls out.
Yami goes first. He takes five cards. He looks at his cards before choosing one. "Pterosaur Guardian of the Fortress Card. Attack!" He places the card down.
Kaiba chooses his card and slides it across the table. "I block it with my card, Cyclops."
The hologram of their chosen cards appears behind them.
"Fireball Spit!" Yami calls out. The attack is released from the Pterosaur's mouth and hits the Cyclops' chest. The Cyclops is destroyed.
Kaiba loses 200 points and goes down to 1800 points from 2000. "Didn't hurt at all, brave Yuugi. You still preserve your dignity for the first turn. Next, I draw a card." Kaiba takes a card from his deck, and a smirk appears.
Yami looks at him with narrowed eyes. It can't be!
"Evil Wormfeast straight into battle!" The hologram of his card appears behind Kaiba.
"Block!" Yami orders.
"Wormfeast, attack!" Kaiba orders.
Wormfeast and Pterosaur lunge toward each other. Wormfeast releases his attack from his mouth, but Pterosaur dodges, flying above him. Pterosaur turns and releases his attack, destroying Wormfeast before flying back to Yami and stopping behind him.
"Pterosaur destroys the Wormfeast," Yami states.
Kaiba scoffs. "The attack points were the same, so my life points do not decrease. Well, that's alright."
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
Aileen throws kicks at Jounouchi, but he dodges out of the way. He lunges at Aileen, but she jumps out of the way. Jounouchi falls onto the ground, and Aileen jumps down, her feet landing on his back, causing him pain.
Ryuichi laughs. "That's the way, Aileen."
Jounouchi stands up and rushes towards Aileen. He grabs her shoulders and pushes her down. Aileen grabs his arms and throws him towards Miho's capsule.
Jounouchi crashes against the glass. He looks at Miho. "What are you doing? This battlesuit is freaking heavy! I can't move on my own! I have to rely on you to control it!" He slides down the glass and lands on the ground.
"Yeah, but…" Miho trails off.
~~~With Yami, Isis, and Kaiba~~~
Kaiba places a card face down. "Yuugi's turn."
Yami reaches for his deck. It's too dangerous to attack with Kaiba's blocking card there. Yami takes a card and looks at it before placing it face down. For now, I'll leave a card in defence. "Turn over."
"I see. Trying to fill the field before I draw my Blue Eyes White Dragon?" Kaiba queries. But… that isn't very sensible. I can defeat you even without summoning a Blue Eyes White Dragon. He places his hand on the card he placed face down. "Blocking monster now in attack mode." He turns the card over, and a hologram appears. "Dark Clown Saggy. But his offence right now cannot beat a Pterosaur." He takes another card. "Magic card." The card glows. "Dark energy increases his offence power by three." Dark Clown Saggy grows much larger. "Attack the Pterosaur! Dark Glide!"
A ball of energy forms between Dark Clown Saggy's palms. He throws the energy toward Pterosaur. It hits him, and Pterosaur is destroyed. Yami's points go down to 1600 from 2000.
"How's that? How do you find the combo of Dark Clown Soggy with dark element magic?" Kaiba questions smugly.
Yami gazes at Kaiba. Indeed, you can't win this game with just powerful cards. Combining monster cards and magic cards is the true key to victory! Kaiba truly knows this game.
"What's wrong? This is where the battle begins." Kaiba taunts.
Isis let out a soft sigh, gaining Yami's attention. She smiles at him softly, and he calms down and gazes at Jii-chan's card deck. That's right. I'm sure there's a secret plan in here for beating Kaiba. Yami takes a card and gazes at it. No good. These cards can't beat Dark Clown. All I can do is use another monster in defence to prolong it. He slides the card onto the table face down.
"Then I'll defeat them in order till they're all gone. Dark Glide!" Kaiba stated before Dark Clown Saggy destroyed both of Yami's cards.
Yami looks down with wide eyes. It's no use. No card can face a magically powered-up Dark Clown!
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
Jounouchi throws punches at Aileen, and one manages to hit her cheek. She spins around and throws kicks and punches at Jounouchi, who dodges.
"Oh?" Ryuichi taunts. "Looks like you remember the basics."
Miho lifts a thumb with a smile on her face. "This is nothing. I've played fighting games at the game centre before, too! Just watch! My ultimate attack!"
Jounouchi looks at his clenched fists. "I'm filled with power!" He throws punches at Aileen.
Aileen dodges out of the way. "Not bad." She praises.
He throws a kick, but Aileen easily moves out of the way. He continues to throw kicks at her, and she continues to dodge. Jounouchi begins to spin around in the air.
Aileen lets out a surprised sound while Ryuichi leans forward. "What?"
"Go!" Miho cheers.
Jounouchi spins closer to the ground and throws a kick at Aileen. She fails to dodge, her cheek is kicked, and she falls to the ground. Jounouchi lands on the ground with a smile on his face. "Real men do it when they need to!"
Miho throws her hand in the air with a smile on her face. "Did it!" She cheers. A beeping sound is heard. "Why? It was Jounouchi-kun's life points that decreased!"
"Fool! When you use a special move, it takes energy. The basic tactic is to weaken your opponent before using it." Ryuichi points out. "Like this." Aileen stands up. " Special move! Shippu Bakuretsu Ken!"
Aileen rushes forward, punching Jounouchi's face. "My body won't move the way I want it to!" Jounouchi regains his balance and looks at her. "My energy…"
Aileen smirks before she throws a punch. It hits Jounouchi's chin, and he is sent flying.
"Jounouchi! I believe! You…You wouldn't get beaten by guys like them!" Honda comments, holding onto Jii-chan.
Jounouchi slowly stands. "Damn it!"
~~~With Yami, Isis, and Kaiba~~~
"Yuugi…You've slightly disappointed me. Looks like this match won't last long enough for me to use a Blue Eyes White Dragon." Kaiba comments.
Yami looks away from Kaiba and gazes down at the cards held in his hands. Jii-chan believes in me…He entrusted these cards to me.
An image of their jii-chan appears over his card deck. Yuugi…you can beat Kaiba.
I can hear jii-chan's passionate feelings. Yami looks up and reaches toward his deck. "I believe in my cards." He picks up a card. "Dark Knight Gaia card! Attack! Spiral Shaver!"
The attack is released from the end of his javelin. The attack hits Dark Clown Soggy, and Kaiba's points go down to 1300.
Kaiba lets out a hmm. "I still have my trump card."
"It isn't over till it's over." Yami points out.
Kaiba lets out a scoff as he reaches toward his deck. "Don't get arrogant. The conclusion is already set." He pulls out a card and looks at it. He smirks and lets out a chuckle. "I pulled a Blue Eyes White Dragon."
Yami narrows his eyes as the Blue Eyes White Dragon hologram appears behind Kaiba.
"And you pulled your trump card too…what a pity." Kaiba taunts. "Blue Eyes White Dragon attacks. Destructive Burst Stream!"
The attack is released, destroying Dark Knight Gaia in one blast.
Kaiba laughs. "Yuugi, I still have two Blue Eyes White Dragons in my deck. You're finished." Yami narrows his eyes while Kaiba lets out a scoff. "Yuugi, this is my power! I ruthlessly obtained my trump card! This is the power of my tenacity! Seems you believe in the fake power of your friends, but that's useless! Powerless before great tenacity that has discarded all pity!"
~~~With Mokuba~~~
Mokuba looks up at the screen. Nii-sama, you're wrong. Wasn't it Nii-sama who taught me compassion? Mokuba looks at the photograph in his hand. But…Nii-sama changed…I…was happiest when we smiled and played chess together. He looks back toward Kaiba.
~~~With Yami, Isis, and Kaiba~~~
"Attack! Destroy! Giant Flare!" Kaiba calls out as another of Yami's monsters is destroyed. "Now, put your next monster on the field! Eventually, you'll run out of cards and lose."
Yami looks at the cards in his hand. It's no use…They're only weak cards that have low offensive power. He takes a card from his deck and places it face down. "Defence."
"Think I'm going to attack? I'm not. Instead of destroying those weak monsters…I'm going to pull another card instead. And increase the number of cards on my field." Kaiba reaches for his deck.
Yami gazes at him. I knew it. If his attack monsters increase, I'll lose on the next turn.
Kaiba chooses his next card, and a smirk appears on his face. "Looks like the goddess of victory favours me. The card I picked is also a Blue Eyes White Dragon." He turns the card, and it glows. Another hologram appears near the first Blue Eyes White Dragon. "On the next turn, I will simultaneously attack with these two. It's quite hopeless, isn't it, Yuugi?"
Isis closes her eyes, and her voice appears in Yami's mind. "Don't give up. You're not fighting alone, remember?"
Yami looks at her, and she gazes back with a soft smile. My Queen… He removes his gaze from Isis and looks back at his cards. The image of Jounouchi, Honda, Anzu, and Miho appears in his mind. That's right. I'm not giving up.
Yami picks a card from his deck. "Magic card! I've pulled Protective Sealing Swords of Light!"
"What?" Kaiba exclaims, surprised as his two Blue-Eyes White Dragons are trapped.
"For two turns, I can escape attack from the Blue-Eyes White Dragons." Yami comments.
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
Jounouchi pushes his hands against Aileen. "G-guts!"
Above them, the water has reached Honda and Jii-chan's necks in the hourglass. Honda is holding him up. "Pull yourself together, jii-san!" Honda looks down at Jounouchi. "Damn it…Jounouchi!"
~~~With Yami, Isis, and Kaiba~~~
"But…this is the end of your bad luck. The Blue-Eyes White Dragons are sealed for only two turns." Kaiba points out. "What can you do in two turns?" Kaiba lifts a card. "I'll put this monster in defence mode. The Blue-Eyes White Dragons will take your life." He places the card face down. "Now, Yuugi, it's the countdown to hell. Draw your card!"
Yami gazes at the cards in his hand. I have four cards in my hand. But only one of them can be used in battle. I don't know what the other three cards are. Maybe I am going to lose.
Yuugi appears, and he looks down, ashamed of himself. I'm sorry, jii-chan. Looks like I disappointed you.
His Jii-chan appears behind him. I believe. Yuugi looks at him. You can beat that boy. These cards have a uniting force.
Yuugi holds out his hand. Jii-chan! He lowers his arm. What is Jii-chan trying to say? The cards have a uniting force?
"What's wrong, Yuugi?! Hurry and draw your card!" Kaiba demands.
Yami looks at the deck with wide eyes. It can't be…In this deck is…Jii-chan told me about it long ago…In Duel Monster Cards, it's usually one card per monster. But…In this world, there is only one monster that can only be summoned using five cards.
He remembers what he said. But Yuugi…So far, no one has collected all five of those cards. In other words, no one has seen that mystical summon God, Exodia.
If Jii-chan has those five cards in this deck…I see. Assemble the sealed card parts!
"Yuugi, what's wrong? Trying to plead for your life by stalling? Hurry and draw your card!" Kaiba demands again.
Yami glances at him before taking a card from the deck and glancing at it. The Sealed One's right arm. That makes four!
Kaiba picks up his next card from his deck. "Now the Protective Sealing Sword of Light is gone." It disappears from around the Blue Eyes White Dragons, and they roar. Kaiba looks at his card. "And…the card I drew was…The third Blue-Eyes White Dragon."
He turns the card. It glows, and the hologram of the third Blue-Eyes White Dragon appears. "On my next turn, all three Blue-Eyes White Dragons will attack. Now, pull your last card, Yuugi."
Yami gazes at his deck, a fist clenched. It's no use…Even if the four cards I've assembled are Exodia…The chance that I will pull the fifth card on this last turn is very unlikely! He reaches for his cards, but his hand stops.
After I pull this card, everything will be over. No matter what the result is…He reaches for his cards, but it looks like they are getting further away. The cards aren't getting farther away. I'm running away from the cards! I'm afraid to draw the card! Images of his friends appear in his mind.
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
"It's no good! There's too much difference in level!" Jounouchi is pushed, and he falls to one knee.
"Hang in there, Jounouchi-kun!" Miho encourages.
"The finisher!" Ryuichi orders.
Aileen lifts her leg. She kicks him against his chin, and he flies backwards. "Have a heart, you piece of shit!"
Aileen gazes down at Jounouchi with a hand on her hip. "Life point zero. I win; you have no energy left."
Five hands suddenly appear around Jounouchi, slowly pushing him until he stands.
"Why are you able to stand up?" Aileen questions, confused.
The image of Yuugi, Isis, Honda, Anzu, and Miho appears in Jounouchi's mind. "I remembered! I'm not fighting alone! I'm…backed up by my friends' hearts!"
His life points restore themselves. Ryuichi's eyes widen. "What? His life points were restored!"
Jounouchi rushes toward Aileen with a yell.
~~~With Yami, Isis, and Kaiba~~~
Yami focuses on his friend's face before he hears Isis's voice in his mind. My pharaoh. Believe in yourself and your friends.
He gazes at Isis before gazing back at his deck. Thank you. I'm not afraid anymore.
Kaiba lets out a low gasp, and his eyes widen. Yuugi's expression changed; why?
"Kaiba, I have hope in hand." He takes a card from the deck. He looks at it, and a smirk appears on his face. "The card I drew…is the sealed Exodia!"
"It can't be Exodia! Those cards exist?" Kaiba exclaims.
~~~With Jounouchi and Miho~~~
"The finisher! Special move: Senpuukyaku Sanren Patsu!" Jounouchi calls out before he does the same move Miho had him do, kicking Aileen in the face.
"That's not possible!" Ryuichi exclaims.
Jounouchi points his thumb at himself with a grin, his other fist clenched, and one eye closed. "Did you see our power?"
~~~With Yami, Isis, and Kaiba~~~
"Come forth, Exodia!" Yami calls out. The hologram appears behind Yami. A gold ball of energy forms between its hands. "The Hell Fire of Rage, Exodia Flame!" He releases the energy ball, destroying the Blue Eyes White Dragons.
Kaiba looks on with wide eyes and clenched teeth. It can't be! My Blue Eyes White Dragons!
Yami gazes at Kaiba. "Kaiba. When cards and hearts become one, a miracle occurs. You lose. And the loser receives a punishment game. Time for you to atone! Mind Crush!" The golden eye appears on Yami's forehead.
Kaiba lets out a shout before there is a sound of something shattering.
"I have shattered your evil heart."
"Nii-sama! Nii-sama!" Mokuba shouts out as he rushes over. He shakes his shoulders with a worried look on his face. "Nii-sama! Nii-sama, Nii-sama!"
Yami stands up. "Mokuba. Right now, Kaiba is in the darkness, gathering the fragments of his heart. If any of his kind heart remains…he will surely return."
Isis walks over with a soft smile on her face. "He will need your help remembering himself as his younger brother."
Mokuba looks at them as they walk off. Yuugi…Isis…
Yami and Isis share a look before they see Jounouchi, Honda, Miho, Anzu, and their jii-chan stand there. Isis lets out a soft smile as Yami lets Yuugi take control.
~~~With Bakura~~~
Bakura walks backstage. "I can't believe he got Exodia! Good job, Yuugi-kun!"
He suddenly stops and lets out a muffled sound of pain. "It's like someone's trying to open up from inside me!"
His pendant glows gold, just like how Yuugi's Puzzle does.
When the glow disappears, Bakura's appearance changes slightly. He has amethyst eyes, and his voice is deeper. "Yuugi…you are indeed worthy of possessing the Millennium Puzzle. But your next opponent is me!"
~~~With Isis, Yuugi and the others~~~
Yuugi, Isis, and the others leave the amusement park and head home as the sun sets.
Jounouchi lets out a sigh. "Today sure was a hard day!"
"Yeah! I never want to go through that again!" Sugoroku agrees.
"Agreed!" Honda agrees, arms folded across his chest.
"Well, it all worked out in the end," Isis comments with a soft chuckle.
Jounouchi gazes down at Yuugi. "Yuugi, you…"
Yuugi blinks his eyes. "What is it, Jounouchi-kun?"
Jounouchi lets out a faint sound before taking a step forward. "Nothing!" He denies it as he runs in front of them.
"Wait!" Yuugi calls out as he runs after him with a smile. What Jounouchi-kun was going to tell me…I know it already because my memories of fighting with everyone today won't disappear from within me.
Isis lets out a soft chuckle as she watches Yuugi chase after Jounouchi. As long as Yuugi is happy…everything is fine.
