["Fenrir" (in reality a simulacrum created by the Vicar of Ghaunadaur), Corhim Sparkledingle

the Gnome Wizard and Fangorino the Barbarian are in Sasserine, on a mission given to them

by my wife Lavinia back on Yag Island.

While they have been waiting for the go ahead, Corhim has made friends with a gnome wizard

who gave him a magic ring that lets him go to the city of Harmony on some other plane.

Now it's time for them to do what they came to do in Sasserine.]

DAY 591 (14th Marpenoth) (October) cont ...

Note that I have since discovered that Fenrir and Fang had been given a sort of 'guard duty' job

over the last few previous days. It was largely uneventful, but Fenrir did find a magical small

greatsword - so a regular sized to sword to him I suppose. And Fang saved the life of a young

Slyth and earned the eternal gratitude of her father - a very powerful druid called Rumble Leaf.

They were back now though and Liris the Factor said they could raid the Lotus Dragon warehouse

tonight if they liked. She reminded them not to come back to the manor once it was done, but just

to get on the Blue Nixie along with the supplies that were being recovered.

Corhim visited Orimander's shop one last time for supplies.

'Did you use the ring?' she asked.

'Oh yes! And I single-handedly completed some very hard quests!'

'Very good!' she replied with a wink.

They had a late lunch and Fenrir asked if there were any tunnels under the warehouses.

'Probably,' said Liris. 'They are known for using them.'

This was information they never acted on though, as by evening they snuck up to the two

Lotus Dragon warehouses to take a look. There were two big buildings, perpendicular to each

other, each with a door and a pair of tough guys in front of each door. I should note that

Fenrir was in disguise at this point, while the other two were not.

They did a little skulk around the place, then it all kicked off with Corhim casting

Glitterdust on two of the bouncers. Another took one look at Fang and went for him.

Corhim used an Alter Self spell to make himself like a human fighter and snuck off into

the shadows. 'I'm just a passerby!' he tootled.

Fang laid in to the bouncers with his axe, a term that Corhim often referred to as the

'choppy-choppy'. If that was the case, then Fenrir came in with the 'zappy-zappy' to help

out. Rogues and their angry dogs began to pile out of the warehouses. Fang and Fenrir

held them back at the doors, but the dogs all went for Corhim, who must have had bacon

in his pocket or something. Corhim came towards the melee and cast an old favourite -

Grease, to slow down the rogues. He cast Ray of Stupidity on the dogs as they came for

him, making them flop to the ground.

Fenrir (remember this was the less powerful 'fake Fenrir') was taking crossbow bolt fire,

so cast Darkness to try and stop some of the bolts finding him. Having had enough of the dogs Corhim

walked away from the fight again and down an alleyway. Unluckily for him though he bumped

into a well known local nutter called Bad Harry. Harry was a tough barbarian, cast from the

same mould as Fang, but with extra added wild-eyed insanity.

'Who are you? Who are you?' demanded Bad Harry.

'Eep!' yelped Corhim, who then cast Fly and headed for the rooftops.

Harry laughed and climbed up a drainpipe. 'Oi! Come back!'

When Harry was near him Corhim cast Charm Person and the barbarian became more friendly.

'If you want a fight, go down there!' squeaked Corhim, pointing down at the battle

going on down beside the warehouses.

Corhim flew down and seeing that Fang was getting overwhelmed by the attacks of so many

rogues and tough guys he swapped places with him using a teleportation spell and cast

more Glitterdust and Grease, sowing chaos and confusion.

Meanwhile Harry had jumped down and joined in, stabbing at rogues with his sword. Anything

to help out his new best buddy.
