Mulan/Shang. Après la guerre et la révélation de l'identité de Mulan, Shang vient faire sa demande en mariage. Mulan s'y attendait, c'est un acte logique et honorable, qui devrait lui réchauffer le cœur, car elle éprouve de réels sentiments pour lui. Seulement, Mulan ne sait pas qui elle est vraiment, Mulan ou Ping et ne peut en bonne conscience accepter la proposition de Shang.

Mulan/Shang. C'est peut être manquer d'humilité, mais Shang s'est toujours considéré comme un bon fils, un bon soldat et un bon sujet de l'Empereur. Son avenir semble tout tracé, entre sa carrière militaire et le mariage que lui impose le devoir filial. Ce qu'il n'a pas envisagé, c'est que ce jeune et frêle Ping fasse à ce point battre son cœur.
