Chapter 89
The Battle of Auros
Draconis: Begin!
Roughly ten minutes had passed since the beginning of the battle, nine since the arrivals of Eishun, Takamichi and Albireo. "Damn old man, despite taking about ten years off you haven't lost a single step!" Kenshin said as he traded sword strikes with Eishun.
"Just because I didn't fight regularly anymore, doesn't mean that I didn't stop practicing three hours a day!" Eishun said before slashing his Yuunagi outward, batting Kuroi Jigoku to the side. "Shinmeiryuu Ougi Hyakuretsu Oukazan!"
"Tch!" Kenshin put up a barrier around himself as hundreds of sakura petal shaped ki blades swirled around.
"Shamshir!" Alma shouts slashing her hand outward spreading the sakura apart allowing Kenshin to escape.
"Thanks for the assist Alma!" Kenshin said. "!" He activated a charm and yanked her toward him as Eishun appeared behind her and slashed downward.
"Your instincts are sharper. You activated the Gekietsu Kumori No Mai charm without handsigns. It's weaker that way, but good for what you used it for." Eishun said.
"I told you, I've gotten better." Kenshin said.
"What was that?" Alma asked as she got back up.
"Shundou." Kenshin said. "Instant Movement. Basically he can appear at certain points, but the movement is limited. As in only in straight lines, it can be used in mid air too, but same restrictions apply."
"I see." Alma said. "!" She looked up as Eishun shundou'd above them.
"Ryuhazan!" Eishun shouts slashing down at them.
"!" Alma pushed Kenshin out of the way catching Yuunagi bare handed.
"Alma? !" Kenshin said.
"Dragon Breaker Slash huh?" Alma said to Eishun. "Too bad, I'm not a dragon." She said with a demure smirk. "Palm of Pure Violence!" She shouts thrusting her palm at Eishun.
"Ghh!" Eishun backflipped avoiding the attack as the force from it crumbled the building next to them.
"Nice Alma!" Kenshin smirked.
"Zanmaken: Ni no Tachi!" Eishun shouts landing on the ground, slashing at Alma.
"Tch!" Kenshin shoves Alma out of the way as a wound opened up on Kenshin's bicep.
"Kenshin? !" Alma said with a surprised look.
"Don't look so surprised...you're a part of my peerage...I won't let anyone even so much as try to kill you." Kenshin said with a smirk.
"..Kenshin...?" Alma said with wide eyes.
"Good instincts indeed." Eishun said.
"Heh." Kenshin smirked. "My instincts aren't the only thing that's improved."
At the same time, Yukari and Granberia dodged Iaiken punches from Takamichi. "Damn, it's difficult to get close to him." Granberia said blocking an attack with Ares.
"He was regularly sent out on hunts after the Cosmo Entelecheia when we arrived at Mahora. There wasn't much peace time for the guy." Yukari said as she countered by flinging a wind blast from Kazeken.
"Still we have to get through somehow!" Granberia said flying at Takamichi.
"Granberia wait!" Yukari shouts.
"Haaaa!"
"Hmn, I admire your tenacity, but that's a bad move." Takamichi said appearing at her side and slamming his fist into her abdominal armor.
"Guah!" Granberia spat up, getting sent upward.
"Hey!" Yukari said slashing at Takamichi who vanished and reappeared behind Granberia.
"Do me a favor and go to sleep will you?" Takamichi said.
"You first." Granberia said with a small smirk as she slashed her flame encased blade at Takamichi.
"Gh? !" Takamichi was batted to the side by Granberia's sword, having defended at the last moment. "Interesting! She let herself get hit to lure me in!" Takamichi thought. "!" He saw Yukari charging at him from below.
"Tora Hikendan!" She shouts punching forward with her left fist, firing out a small tiger shaped flame bullet. She then thrusts Kazeken at it. "Hurricane Thrust!" A strong blast of wind shot out of the tip of her blade, but instead of extinguishing the blaze. It grew hotter and larger.
"Tch!" Takamichi flipped upright and punched a shot of kanka at it, making it detonate prematurely.
Granberia used the distraction to her advantage to take his back, lofting Ares overhead. "Earth Rumbling Decapitation!"
"Grrhh? !" Takamichi grunted in surprise as he was slammed to the ground by the force of the strike hitting his barrier.
"Nice work there." Yukari said flying up to her.
"Thanks." Granberia said. "But what is that energy he used just then, it felt an awful lot like the Touki Kenshin and that monkey Sun Wukong use."
"It kind of is, but he and his master had another name for it. Kanka, and the techniques he uses it for are part of a skill tree called Kankahou." Yukari said.
"I see...does it have any weaknesses?" Granberia said.
"I think you saw it just now. When making use of it he has to take a second to mold the Kanka energy out of his ki and mana." Yukari said. "!" Her eyes widened as a large Iaiken blast impacted them both. "Ghh! This is...Muonken!" (1 )
"I applaud you two for acting as diversions for one another." Takamichi said flying back up to them. "I just wish it didn't have to be this way."
Meanwhile. Miyuki and Hikari dodged out of the way of dark balls of gravity magic. "Tch!" Hikari said appearing above Albireo, kicking him in the head.
"Oh ho, nice reaction Hikari-San." Albireo said batting her away.
"Ggh." Hikari grunted.
"Mom, he might be using his clone here. We need to hit it hard." Miyuki said.
"I know Miyu-!" Hikari felt Albireo's presence behind her and Miyuki.
"Astute observation, but inaccurate." Albireo said. "I'm unable to use that here." He extended his hand toward them "Small Heavy Black Hole!"
"Shit!" Hikari cursed, grabbing Miyuki's arm and using Shundou to get away.
"M-Mom? !" Miyuki said seeing Hikari's right arm torn off at the elbow.
"I'm...fine..." Hikari panted. "Hnnnngh! Aaah!" She grunted and gasped in pain, regrowing her arm.
"Oh my, if I recall you hated doing that in the past." Albireo said with a casual smile.
Hikari flexed her right arm, clenching her fist, hearing multiple pops. "I've been improving in that department. Still hurts like hell though."
"I see." Albireo said. "You know...Nagi didn't tell Kenshin the whole truth when we met him in the Dimensional Gap."
"Hn?" Hikari said.
"You know what the Dimensional Gap is?" Miyuki asked.
Albireo's mana welled. "Miyuki-kun, I know more than I've ever let on. For example...when we met Kenshin and Yukari all those years ago...I knew immediately that they were from the future."
"Excuse me? !" Hikari shouts.
"And Mundus Magicus is not the only world I've been to either." Albireo said taking out a card. "Adeat."
"? !" Miyuki's eyes widened slightly seeing numerous books spiraling around Albireo.
"After all, how else do you think I gathered all of my stories." Albireo said reaching up and grabbing a book. Albireo opened the book, closed it, then took the book mark out of it, before being obscured in a white light. "But for now. I guess I'll keep it limited to what you know."
"What the hell? !" Hikari said.
"Oh...just fucking great." Miyuki grunted seeing the large figure of Jack Rakan in Albireo's place.
"Albireo, what did you mean by Nagi not telling Kenshin the whole truth?" Hikari said.
"Defeat me and I'll tell you." Albireo said.
"!" Alma and Kenshin looked out toward the south seeing a pillar of purple flames erupt. "That's where Bennia and Rias are." Kenshin said.
"The Holy Cross user has assaulted from the southern region. It will be hard for only Rias and Bennia to take her on. For now narrow the area you must defend by forming a group of four." Everyone for now please fall back." Sona said through a communication circle to everyone.
"Hey! We got more company than that!" Kenshin said seeing an explosion of black flames from the southwest.
"This is Koneko who is in charge of the Southwest region. Evil Dragons Grendel and Ladon have appeared." Koneko said.
"Tch." Kenshin looked over at Alma. "Shit! Alma follow me!" Kenshin shouts taking off.
"Kenshin, you can't escape that easily." Eishun said giving chase after him and Alma.
"Eh? ! Kenshin, Kaichou said to make groups of four!" Issei said as he and Ruruko had also moved to intercept.
"There's no evil dragons left at our position." Kenshin said to both him and Sona.
"He's right, it was only me against the two of them." Eishun said.
"Oi, swordsman, stand down." Grendel said.
"Please." Eishun rolled his eyes. "I could take you down even now."
"You wanna bet? !" Grendel shouts.
"I've fought stronger than you before!" Eishun snapped.
"Whatever." Grendel said. "Sekiryuutei, Dragon of the Elements. Nice to see you again." Grendel laughed.
"...Grh..." Kenshin glanced over at Koneko and Saji, both of whom looked battered and weary. "Grendel...you truly never know when to just fuck off, do you?" Kenshin asked. "I would have thought Rias turning ninety percent of your body to dust in Romania would have convinced you not to fuck with us." He said.
"Please." Grendel huffed. "You really think I'm afraid of that red haired bitch?"
"Don't forget about me over here." A dragon shaped tree said. "Insomniac Dragon Ladon here. This is my first time meeting you both in person."
"And it'll be your last." Kenshin grunted.
"If we defeat you, will the barriers fall?" Alma asked.
"I wonder." Ladon mused.
"That building back there. Is that the school you're all so uppity about?" Grendel asked. "So...if I destroy it, then you all will have fun with me more seriously right?"
"Tch..." Eishun growled at Grendel
"!" Issei and Kenshin narrowed their eyes into scowls. "Alma..." Kenshin said. "Take care of Eishun."
"Ruruko-Chan. Go check on Saji and Koneko. Grendel is mine." Issei said.
"Right/R-Right." Alma and Ruruko said.
"Haa!" Kenshin and Issei rushed Grendel who prepared to breathe fire, however the latter got surrounded in a barrier by Ladon. "Shit!" Issei said.
"Damn!" Kenshin said slashing his sword at the fireball. "Grrrrhhhh! !" He growled.
"Guahahahahaha!" Grendel laughed. "You idiots, you couldn't beat me together before, what makes you think you can NOW? !"
"F...Fuck YOU!" Kenshin said as he fully slashed his sword downward, not cutting the fireball no, but reflecting it back at Grendel.
"EH? !" Grendel grunted as it slammed into him.
Meanwhile Ruruko and Koneko attack Ladon to try and free Issei. "You!" Ruruko shouts kicking at Ladon's face.
"Let Issei-Senpai go!" Koneko shouts.
"No use, normal attacks won't pierce my barriers." Ladon said.
Grendel threw the fireball upward and lunged at Kenshin. He glanced at Ladon. "Oi! Ladon the Sekiryuutei is mine!" He said with a murderous glare.
"Oh screw you Grendel. You had fun with this one several times in the past correct. Sekiryuutei that is said to be focused with raw power as much as possible. Besides you have the Dragon of the Elements to keep you company. I just want to test whether or not he can break through my barriers.
"Che! This is why I don't like working with others. Whatever. Euclid's just going to bitch if we fight each other anyway, but this is the only time I'm allowing this! I won't take that request a second time!" Grendel grunted.
"? !" Kenshin's eyes widened as Grendel lunged toward him body and all, making him move out of the way. "Oh no!" He said seeing Saji in Grendel's path and flying at the evil dragon. "SAJI! ! MOVE! !" He shouts.
"Tch!" Alma grunted as she blocked several slashes.
"If I keep you busy, you won't be able to take advantage of my weaknesses." Eishun said slashing over and over again at Alma.
"Kenshin tells me you used to be a hero! What gives? !" Alma said.
"I'm not in control of myself, not completely." Eishun said. "If I was. I would never be fighting on their side."
Issei had gone into the Cardinal Crimson Promotion, the Queen form of his Balance Breaker, but was still unable to break Ladon's barrier. Gasper used his shadow magics as a vampire to try and help from a distance, but was still unable to break it. "Tch!" Issei growled. "If only Kenshin was able to help! We could both break this barrier together!" He thought.
"! !" Kenshin's eyes widened as Grendel kicked Saji in the stomach after failing to stomp him into the dirt. "Bastard! !" He shouts punching Grendel in the head.
"Ow! That fucking hurt!" Grendel shouts batting his hand at Kenshin, making him dodge before turning to Saji. "Guahahahaha! What the, Vritra isn't here. You probably could have continued if he was, right?" Well someone like you who only combined other Sacred Gears can't take me on you know unless you have high offense and defense like the Sekiryuutei or the Dragon of the Elements there." He said before walking toward Auros Academy.
"I WON'T LET YOU! !" Saji shouts creating a wall of black flames surrounding Grendel in all directions.
"Won't work!" Grendel shouts swinging his arm, extinguishing the black blaze. "Hrn? !"
"Thanks Saji!" Kenshin said holding his dual blade spinning at his side, encased in flames. "Crimson Hurricane!"
"Won't wor-? !" Grendel was cut off as earth lurched upward and encased his arms and legs.
"Let's just see about that!" Kenshin shouts as his attack barreled toward Grendel's chest.
(Boom!)
"Greehhh!" Grendel growled, lunging out of the smoke brought on by the attack bearing down at Kenshin.
"! !" Kenshin's eyes widened in dread before he was yanked to the side by Saji's Absorption Line. "Haa! Thanks!" Kenshin said.
"I need you to distract him for a bit so I can get these on him." Saji said.
"Leave it to me!" Kenshin said flying at Grendel. "Elemental Ax!" He said kicking Grendel in the face.
"Guraaah!" Grendel turned toward Kenshin and grabbed him, slamming him on the ground.
"Guah? ! !" Kenshin gasped out, spitting up blood.
"Greh? !" Grendel turned as Saji connected his Absorption Lines to him.
"Nimura, Toujou, Kenshin, Alma! I'll connect these lines to you all-? !" Saji said before Grendel bared down on him, batting Saji away. "Guha? !" He puked up loads of blood.
"Grrrhh!" Kenshin shot upward, into the sky.
"Abyssal Elemental Overdrive! !"
"Grennnndeeeellll!" Kenshin roared flying right at the Evil Dragon.
"Oh ho ho! You look pissed Elemental Dragon! !" Grendel cackled.
"You just tried to kill one of my friends, you're god damn right I'm livid! !" Kenshin shouts as the elements surround his whole body. "Full Body Elemental Spica!"
"? !" Grendel tries to catch Kenshin, but fails as he impacted the Evil Dragon's chest. "Guha? !" Grendel puked up blood in response.
"Hrrrggh! !" Kenshin growled as he drove Grendel back.
"Grah!" Grendel angled his body upward and bit into Kenshin's left shoulder and arm.
"Ghhhh! !" Kenshin grunted.
"Kenshin! !" Issei shouts as he charged his Crimson Blaster cannons.
"Shit!" Kenshin pushed his right hand against Grendel's jaw, trying to move the seal that held the gun that Mana gave him. "Why is it moving so slowly? !" Kenshin said.
"So you noticed, I'm interfering with your magic." Grendel smirked.
"Damn it!" Kenshin growled, trying to push Grendel's jowels open.
Saji gets to his feet and connects numerous Absorption Lines to Grendel.
"What the? ! A weak power like that? ! Do you really think you can pull my body with something like that? ! Guahahahahaha! It's useless! IT'S USELESS! ! YOU DAMN GRUNT!" Grendel shouts.
"I won't let you...destroy the school...that place is...that place is...!" Saji said bowing his head.
"Got it!" Kenshin shouts taking the Colt 1911A1 out of the seal it was in and pointing it upward unloading the clip.
"Guah!" Grendel spat Kenshin to the side. "Dragon Slaying bullets? ! That's just playing dirty!"
"Heh" Kenshin smirked. "Got your ass though."
"Che!" Issei said having been encased in another barrier as Gasper tried to break him free to no avail.
"Che...you won't win." Grendel said as he starts walking. "Hunh? !" Grendel grunted as his legs were encased in earth.
"I'm still here you gigantic piece of dragonic shit." Kenshin smirked.
"Won't work!" Grendel shouts tearing his leg free.
"Shit!" Kenshin cursed.
"Hey Hyoudou." The words from their earlier conversation ring in Issei's head. "The children call me Sensei with a smile even though I'm...far from being one."
"Hyoudou, I came to realize it once again after engaging with the children here...I will definitely become a teacher, though I need to promote to a Mid Class Devil first, but I definitely will."
"Hrrrhhhhh! !" Issei growled, pumping more power into his attacks to break Ladon's barriers.
"Oh ho ho?" Ladon said. "With that, you might certainly break my barrier." Ladon said.
"Guahahahahaha! ! Too bad! This is the end for you, you and that school will be crushed beneath my foot." Grendel said, stomping toward Saji.
"NO! !" Kenshin shouts using wind magic to propel himself forward, keeping Grendel from advancing.
At the moment Saji falls, someone picks him up and moves him. "Hn?" Grendel grunts glancing over.
"? !" Kenshin looks over in shock seeing the Devil Fathers. "OI? !" Kenshin shouts seeing Lirenkus' father holding Saji up.
"There are no residents in this area! We will assist you! We will buy you as much time as possible! Use it to reorganize your formation!" Lirenkus' father shouts.
Koneko and Ruruko back away from the assault of the mass produced evil dragons that were backing the two main Evil Dragons up. "Tch!" Alma backflipped and swung her arm at Eishun, blowing him back with a blast of wind, landing next to the two while the Devil Fathers stood boldly in front of Grendel.
"H-Hey! !" Kenshin shouts.
"What's this? A bunch of grunts trying to interfere with my fun? ! Grunts should die as GRUNTS! !" Grendel said before spitting Kenshin to the side, and inhaling to fire off a breathe attack.
"Ghh! !" Kenshin took out the pistol Mana had given him, reloaded and fired at Grendel's head, but it was no use as the shots missed and the fathers' magic circle was shattered upon impact and they were blown away. They all got up and faced Grendel again. "! !" Kenshin appeared in front of them as Grendel readied another attack. "Yume Shouheki! !"
"Haa!" Alma shouts laying her own barrier over it.
"Grrrhhhh! !" Kenshin and Alma growled as Grendel's fire collided with their barriers.
"Lust Dragon? !" Lirenkus' Dad shouts.
"GO!" Kenshin shouts. "Like I said before! Your children can live without us, but you must not die this day! !"
"Fly you fools!" Alma shouts.
"DAMN IIIIITTT! !" Issei shouts charging the Crimson Blaster once more.
"No...I have to use it here! There's no choice!" Koneko said gathering her ki, planning to go into 'Shirone' mode.
Suddenly however, one of the mass produced evil dragons was shot into the air. "Hn? !" Alma said.
"Wait...this is? !" Kenshin shouts as even more were bounced into the air before freefalling.
"Haa..looks like I made it just in time."
"Sairaorg/ Sairaorg-San!" Kenshin and Issei said.
"I hear you are after the school..." Sairaorg said to Grendel. "No...I won't allow it, I will have you die, Evil Dragons! !"
"Haa! !" Kenshin punches back Grendel's breath attack. "Alma, assist the fathers in their retreat, once you're finished, report back!"
"Got it!" Alma said flying toward the Devil Fathers. "All of you, come on!" She shouts.
"..." Eishun lowered his sword. "Seems I've been called back."
"Hn? !" Kenshin said.
"Make no mistake we will meet again Kenshin, hopefully then I can be put to rest." He said before vanishing.
At the same time Takamichi stopped his fight against Yukari and Granberia. "Huh? !" Yukari said.
"I'm being recalled, we'll have to finish this some other time." Takamichi said.
"Hey wait!" Yukari said.
Meanwhile with Hikari and Miyuki, Albireo suddenly stopped fighting and knocked them both back before reassuming his true form. "What's going on?" Hikari asked.
"I'm being called back. This will have to wait I'm afraid." Albireo said.
"Wait, what did you mean earlier?" Miyuki asked.
"Think about it, how would a father naturally feel about his child dying in the manner she did...when it was promised it wouldn't happen." Albireo said before disappearing.
"What do we do now?" Hikari said as Miyuki got in touch with Yukari.
"There's plenty of evil dragons still around, let's mop up." Miyuki said.
"Hrm!" Sairaorg grunted punching Grendel's face, making him recoil with blood in his mouth.
"Oh ho? Another devil that fights only with his body...Ladon. I will take these guys! They're just shitty Devils that I can toy around with!" Grendel said.
Two communication circles open up next to the two evil dragon's ears. Ladon's eyes narrowed in disdain and the barrier around Issei disappears. "Very well I'll head there then."
Kenshin pointed his sword at Ladon, shooting a blaze outward. "I'm sorry. Did you think we were going to just let you?"
"..." Ladon turned to Kenshin. "You think you can break through my barrier boy?"
"Let's find out!" Kenshin shouts rushing toward Ladon.
"Oi! Your fight me you little bastard!" Grendel said swiping his hand at Kenshin.
"You're too slow!" Kenshin said having a clone throw him out of the way before having that same clone explode in Grendel's hand making the dragon recoil as Issei and Sairaorg moved in. "Haaaa!" He shouts, the elements flaring to life around his body.
"It's not going to be that easy." Ladon said surrounding Kenshin in a barrier.
"O-OI!" Issei said. "Aah? !" Issei leaped backward as Grendel batted at him.
"Shamshir!" Alma sending a sharp wind blast, which surprisingly hit him, cutting some of the dragon's body.
"Aagh!" Ladon grunted. "You litt-!"
"Interesting. So this is your strongest barrier eh?" Kenshin asked with a smirk. "So strong in fact that you cannot create more than one. That's why Alma's attack hit you."
"Grh..." Ladon growled.
"So I wonder what would happen if I went full tilt in here?" Kenshin said. "You'll be so focused on me, how will you defend yourself? Alma, get him!"
"On it!" Alma said flying right at Ladon. "Diamond Plated Fist!"
"Grrhh!" Ladon created a barrier around himself, but weakened the one around Kenshin to do it.
"Ghhhh!" Kenshin grunted as he raised his power, making cracks appear in the barrier around him, that tried to repair themselves, but Kenshin's power kept the progress stagnant.
"Tch!" Ladon said as Alma drove her knee into his barrier, trying to attack him, cracks appearing in it as well.
"Killing Flow!" Alma shouts kicking at the barrier, hitting it, going into a spin and doing so again.
"These two, they're fierce. If I ignore one in favor of the other I'm going to pay for it." Ladon thought.
"Ladon, what's keeping you?" Euclid's voice rang in his ear.
"Kuroshi Kenshin and his Succubus, I've got Kenshin contained into a barrier, if I let him go I open myself up and he's already breaking the barrier I have on him because I have to keep one on myself to avoid damage from the Succubus."
"Hrm..interesting. Hang on a second." Euclid said.
"Hrrmmnnn...!" Kenshin grunted as his power continued to build further damaging the barrier.
"Make a choice! Who do you want to get hit by, him or me? !" Alma said as she continuously barraged the barrier around Ladon.
"Rrrmmmuuurrooohhhh! !" Kenshin roared as more cracks appeared in the barrier.
"!" Ladon's eyes widened as Kenshin broke free and was now charging him.
"Time's up! Looks like you get both of us!" Kenshin shouts.
A large magic circle appeared under Ladon. "The Dragon's Gate? !" Alma said.
"I think not." Ladon said as he vanished.
"Damn!" Alma said as she punched at thin air, going right into Kenshin's path.
"Alma, quick! Throw me at Grendel!" Kenshin said.
"Right!" Alma said nimbly dodging Kenshin's Full Body Elemental Spica and grabbing his leg throwing him right at Grendel.
"Wha? !" Grendel said as Kenshin crashed into his ribcage. "Uoogh! !" He grunted as blood filled his mouth.
"Heh." Kenshin smirked as he landed past Grendel and canceled his technique. "So Sairaorg, what are you doing here? Is the situation in Agreas that advantageous?"
"Well if the fact that they called one of the dragons you were fighting away is any indication." Sairaorg said.
"I see." Kenshin turned to Alma. "Keep Koneko, Ruruko and Saji safe for me would you?" He asked.
"Of course. I'm about tapped on violence today." Alma said flying over to them.
"Well there will be more." Kenshin said.
"Sairaorg-San, this dragon has high physical defense." Issei said. "Kenshin and I fought him in the forms we're in now, in the past and it wasn't enough."
"That was before a lot of training took place, but he's right. That attack I used just now was one of my strongest and he still got up." Kenshin said seeing Grendel spitting out the blood before turning to them.
"Yes, but let's see what happens when we team up on him." Sairaorg said.
"...Heh..." Kenshin smirked. "I like the way you think. I'm sick of looking at that fucker's ugly mug anyway."
"Yeah! Let's take him down together!" Issei said.
"Heheheh, you two know just what to say. Then why don't I start by wearing the Lion's Armor?" Sairaorg said.
Regulus appears next to Sairaorg as Sairaorg points at Grendel. "Evil Dragon Grendel! I determine you to be a sworn enemy of the Underworld, Reguluuuuuuusss! !" He roared.
"Yes Sir!" Regulus said.
"My lion! King of Nemea! You who have been called Shishou! Answer my howl and become my armor! !" Sairaorg shouts.
"Balance Break! !" Regulus shouts.
"Balance Breakeeeeerrr! !" Sairaorg shouts.
"Heheheheh..." Grendel chuckles darkly. "That's it. I won't be able to enjoy killing you three if you don't become like this. Red, Gold and Black...COME ON! !" Grendel roared.
Issei, Kenshin and Sairaorg all lunge forward at the Evil Dragon. Grendel didn't hesitate and took them head on. He raised his arm, blocking Issei and Sairaorg's punch, but Kenshin flew by it and coated his right leg in elemental magic. "Hrm? !" Kenshin said seeing Grendel's other arm reaching for him. "Elemental Ax!"

"Grhh? !" Grendel's eyes widened as both attacks break through his guard, but soon smirked as he started fist fighting with Sairaorg while Kenshin and Issei look for holes in his guard while Sairaorg's and Grendel's hits get home on each other.
"Issei! You go high, I'll go low!" Kenshin shouts.
"Got it!" Issei said lunging toward Grendel's face while Kenshin made a beeline for Grendel's waist.
(Boom!)
"Ghh? !" Kenshin and Issei were batted back as their attacks landed by Grendel's fist and tail.
"I can't give in! ! I WON'T GIVE IN! !" Issei thought as his armor cracked while continuing the brutal melee with Sairaorg and Kenshin at his side.
"There's much more left to do, but if we lose here the academy and everyone inside are lost! I won't let that happen! !" Kenshin thought as multiple but small wounds open on his body
The three finally break through Grendel's guard and rush toward his face. "NOW'S OUR CHANCE! GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT! !" Sairaorg shouts.
"RIGHT! !" Kenshin and Issei said as elemental and red auras surround their fist respectively.
"Guoh? ! !" Grendel recoiled, but smirked, however the three could tell that there was distress in Grendel's eyes as he sucked in air, going to a knee.
"Heheheheh GUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! !" Grendel laughed as his smirk widened. "Amazing! AMAZING INDEED! You three are trying to corner me with simple close combat! Just about anyone else would have fought me with traps and the like!"
"This crazy bastard." Issei said as Grendel coughed up blood.
"Hrm!" Kenshin pointed his finger at Grendel, destroying a vial of Phoenix Tears with a fire spear before he could use it. "I don't think so. We aren't pausing to heal you mother fucker, why should you?" Kenshin said.
"Heh! Very well!" Grendel smirked and inhaled turning toward Alma and the others.
"!" Issei and Sairaorg turned, but Kenshin shook his head. "Leave it to me and Alma! Carry on!"
"Really now? !" Grendel said exhaling a massive fireball right at Alma.
"!" Kenshin appeared next to Alma and nodded at her. She nodded back and they extended their hands, using water and wind magic respectively to block the fireball.
Alma turned her head to Koneko, Ruruko and Saji. "You three might want to move!" She said.
"No! We'll help as well!" Ruruko said flying at the fireball laying multiple kicks into it.
"Haa! !" Koneko said doing similarly, but with her fists.
Grendel flew up into the air and flies down at them with high velocity. Issei and Sairaorg block him.
"Transfer!"
Issei transfers boosts to Sairaorg who proceeds to uppercut Grendel, who only smirked. "Guahahahahaha!" It isn't over yet! !"
Issei closes the distance between himself and Grendel and kicks at Grendel, his kicking power having been amplified by the Boosted Gear.
The fireball dissipated and Kenshin shot forward, his fist coated in the elements. "Elemental Spica! !"
"Guah! !" Grendel stumbled backward heavily before standing straight up, wiping his mouth with a smirk. "That was strong. The punches of the next heir of the Great King, and the new Dragon of the Elements! Not just my body but even my soul seems to get damaged every time I get hit by them. It's weird to say my soul hurts, so really it's like my body hurts to the core and my consciousness almost flies away." Grendel said.
"Tch..." Kenshin smirked. "It's a fucking shame you're on their side." He said. "You seem like a perfect sparring partner."
"Wait, you're saying that Sairaorg-San's and Kenshin's punches aren't just reaching his body but his soul too? Touki, which is said to be increased life force...Sairaorg's attacks are filled with them and Kenshin, who has been working on Senjutsu in general has had his Touki strengthened from it...It seems they're more effective than I'd imagined." Issei thought. "Grendel's actually receiving damage."
"I see, you're much harder than I thought." Sairaorg said.
"Come on you three, let's fuck this asshole up!" Kenshin said as they lunged toward Grendel. However Grendel leaped above them. The three of them fly through the fireball Grendel blasted at them made their way toward them. "What's the matter? ! You look a little worried! !" Kenshin smirked as they all bury their fists into Grendel's stomach.
"Guuuhhh!" Grendel puked blood up as Kenshin's element infused fist, Sairaorg's touki infused fist and Issei's percussion hammer fist slamming downward all hit him at once.
"Yes! This time...This time we can finally beat this bastard! !" Issei thought.
However the next moment a giant pillar of purple fire shaped like a cross pierces through Sairaorg, when it disappears, Sairaorg was heavily burned, his body smoking before plummeting to the earth.
"Ohohohohoho! I'm sorry for that. I couldn't help but use an even stronger cross on him!" Issei and Kenshin turn to find Walburga laughing.
"Oioioi!" Grendel griped. "Don't butt in you damn magician!"
"But weren't you having a hard time there? I think you owe me one there Grendel." Walburga said.
"Fuck! To be on the verge of danger at a time like this!" Issei thought.
"Koneko! Use Senjutsu to heal Sairaorg now! His life might be in danger!" Kenshin said.
"I'm sorry Issei Senpai, Kenshin-Senpai! She started flying around the battlefield causing destruction!" Gasper said as his darkness bats appeared.
"I apologize too. We were chasing her down, but she got away." Sextum said appearing with Tertium.
The sound of sniper fire was heard as Walburga dodged to the side. "Damn! She's so dodgy!" Mana cursed.
"Leave her to us. We won't let her get away again." Tertium said.
"See to it that you don't." Kenshin said.
Walburga leaves with the Averruncus siblings in hot pursuit while Mana proved cover fire and Gasper gave chase. Grendel turns and stomps toward Sairaorg. Kenshin appeared next to him and caught the Evil Dragon's foot. "D-Damn yoooouuu!" Kenshin roared.
"Guahahahahah! Killing each other in a brawl is good, but I love torturing people to death even more! What's wrong! Show me those punches you were so proud of earlier! !"
Issei tried to attack Grendel but the Evil Dragon dodged leaping high in the air. Issei landed next to Kenshin and Sairaorg and embraced the fallen Bael. Tears of frustration flowing from his eyes.
"Don't cry..." Sairaorg said
"!" Issei's eyes widened as Sairaorg tried to stand up. His armor shattered his whole body covered in burns, blood squirting from his body.
"Tch..." Kenshin scowled as Sairaorg coughed blood up.
"This huge, rough, and ugly fist of mine was something I trained for in order to come this far." They remembered Sairaorg saying to them as they prepared for this battle.
"Guahahahaha!" Grendel laughed. "Is that school that important to you? ! For the Great King to give up his life defending it." He said as Sairaorg got to his feet.
"Che!" Kenshin growled and chopped Sairaorg on the back of the neck preventing him from doing something reckless as Sairaorg crumpled. He threw Sairaorg to Alma who caught him. Alma nodded, knowing what she wanted him to do.
"Kenshin!" Issei said.
"Right, let's fucking kill this asshole once and for all." Kenshin said with a scowl.
"Yeah!" Issei said leaping forward, preparing the Crimson Blaster as Kenshin summoned his earth element magic binding Grendel to the ground.
"Get ready!" Kenshin said through a communication circle. "When he goes into the air, hit him with everything! I'll be doing the same!"
"Got it!" Issei said.
"Hrrrrrooouuh!" Kenshin roared using terrakinesis to toss Grendel skyward.
"Haaa! !" A burst of heavy wind launches toward Grendel who couldn't dodge and was stunned by the attack as a result. Kenshin glanced over seeing Alma with her fist forward, a resolute look on her face.
"Hmn!" Kenshin smirked and threw his element coated spinning dual blade at the Evil Dragon while Issei launched his Crimson Blaster at him.
"Guuuuoooohh! !" Grendel spews out what blood remains in his body.
"Senpai!" Koneko said to Kenshin. "Give me one of the jewels in your armor! I can seal him with it!"
"Got it!" Kenshin said ripping out one of the green jewels in his leg guards and tossing it to Koneko.
"S-Seriously...m-me? !" Grendel said as the jewel connected his soul being sealed into it. "Just like the time with the destruction princess! I am...defeated by the bloodlines that carry immense power and the power of destruction...damn it...why...am I? !"
"Evil Dragon Grendel, that soul of yours! Let it rest between the gorge of everlasting darkness and light!" Koneko said.
When the light that erupted from her technique settles a mass of earth in the shape of Grendel who had serpentine dragons biting into him, a jewel in his chest, giving off a dark green glow was all that was left of him.
"Heh..." Kenshin smirked and opened a communication circle. "Sona! The Crime Force Dragon, Grendel has been successfully sealed!"
"I talked with Nee-sama. Having them repair with their bodies with the Holy Grail won't end this. So then we should just seal their souls instead." Koneko said. "Since there is a technique among the practical use of Senjutsu that seals the opponent's life force that we had been practicing. It's impossible with just me so Nee-Sama suggested it was possible with the jewel of the armor of the Sekiryuutei or the Dragon of the Elements. I have never practiced it, but we pulled it off." Koneko said as Kenshin retrieved the orb.
"Heh, yeah." Kenshin said petting her head. "You did damn good Koneko." He said with a smile.
"T-Thank you Senpai, when we return let's hand this over to Heaven or anyone who can put many barriers over it. This time he won't escape." Koneko said.
"Sounds like a plan." Kenshin said taking hold of the orb for a moment. "We win, you crazy bastard." He said.
"Sairaorg-San!" Issei said lifting Sairaorg up.
"I'm fine..." Sairaorg said.
Kenshin handed the orb back to Koneko and approached Sairaorg. "I'm sorry, but you're too valuable to lose on this battlefield. I couldn't risk it." He said.
"I understand." Sairaorg said.
"Get some healing done before you fight again." Kenshin said. "I realize you won't sit down for this." He said with a smirk. "You and I are alike after all."
"Heh...indeed." Sairaorg grinned. "The people of the Underworld are the treasure of us Devils. Let us protect them together."
"Are you serious? You were able to seal Grendel? !" Sona said, shock and relief evident in her voice from the communication circle.
"No bullshittin' here Sona. We finally beat that fucker." Kenshin said.
"Asia we need you here!" Issei said.
"Right! I'm coming!" Asia said.
"Hnnn..." Sairaorg grunted as he was healed by Asia.
"Alright. Everyone fall back and converge around Auros Academy." Sona said.
Everyone gathered at Auros. Xenovia and Kiba looked exhausted, Kiba having used the Garm. Kenshin approached Tsubaki who looked miserable. "Hey." He said.
"Not now..." Tsubaki grunted.
"I'm not." Kenshin said. "All I'm going to say is Kiba's a man...and when a man's mind is made up. It's hard as hell to change it. Don't feel so bad." He said.
"But how do I stop him from killing himself with the Garm?" Tsubaki asked.
"...That's something you'll have to figure out yourself. I don't know." Kenshin said.
"I understand." Tsubaki nodded.
"Try not to be so embarrassed by the way." Kenshin said.
"Eh?" Tsubaki said.
"I know I pick on you, but at it's core. I'm trying to get you used to the idea. Kiba needs a woman like you." Kenshin said. "Even when the Holy Sword Project took up his mind. He seemed to want to give his life up if it meant the project would be stopped. He needs something or someone worth living for." Kenshin said. "I would like to think you are that person." He said.
"! !" Tsubaki's face flared up with a dark blush.
"Haa..haa.." Yukari and Granberia panted.
"Was Takamichi-San that tiring?" Tertium asked.
"We helped take care of the Evil Dragons after he bailed." Yukari said.
"Some of them were tougher than they look." Granberia said.
"I'll say." Mana said, standing in person with everyone. "It took more than one shot to take some of them down."
"I see...so the dragon slayer bullet was diluted when it was melted and cast. I'll be sure to inform Heaven and the Grigori of it." Kazumi said.
"Miyuki, Mom are you OK?" Kenshin asked.
"Yeah, but Albireo said something that unnerved us." Miyuki said
"What?" Yukari asked.
"...He knew you two were from the future from the jump." Hikari said.
"What? !" Yukari said with wide eyes.
"Seriously? !" Kenshin said. "Ghh..." He growled. "What else?"
"He said that he was basically a habitual world traveler...meaning he might have met people from here as well." Miyuki said.
"Is that right?" Kenshin said.
"Well that aside, Sairaorg you came." Rias said.
"Yeah, we have the advantage in Agreas." Sairaorg said with a grin.
"Right! Kenshin and I also defeated Grendel!" Issei said.
Koneko held out the orb that Grendel was sealed into. "Kenshin-Senpai provided the orb while they were leveling him." Koneko said.
"Right. When this is over I'll talk to Michael-Sama about keeping that under wraps." Irina said.
"Alright, now then with the numbers a little more in our favor..." Sona said before letting out a battle cry, surrounding Auros Academy in her water barrier which had been enhanced by both Issei and Kenshin's Boosted Gears. "I'll give out formations go and take down the remaining Evil Dragons.
Kenshin turned to Sairaorg. "Hey, up in Agreas did you meet Heinrich? If so I will go up there and personally greet him myself."
"No." Sairaorg said surprising Kenshin. "He wasn't there...no one matching his description was there or I would have called to inform you. For that matter Seekvaira herself wasn't there either."
"Tch." Kenshin and Issei growled and nodded toward each other.
"Alright, fan out and start laying traps over the school grounds!" Sona ordered. "In the same vein, Kiba Xenovia, Irina, Meguri, Yukari, Granberia. You will all be the main attack force against the evil dragons." Sona ordered. "At the same time the Rook Group that consists of Rossweisse, Rugal and Yura will block the enemies range attacks while Shinra Fukukaichou could use her counter type Sacred Gear will reflect the enemies attacks." Sona said.
"Haaaaaa! !" Koneko shouts. "I will have you perish!" She said burning multiple Evil Dragons to nothing.
"Don't think you are left out!" Miyuki said charging forward letting loose blasts of fire at the Evil Dragons.
"Hmph! Eat this!" Rias and Sairaorg shout destroying multiple dragons while Akeno and Hikari used defensive magic and lightning magic attacks to give support to them.
"Orryaahh!" Issei and Kenshin roared out batting Evil Dragons away while receiving orders from Sona.
"Issei-kun, Kenshin-kun! Please transfer your power to the swordsmen!" Sona said.
"Right!" Issei and Kenshin said. "Stay safe Sona!" Kenshin said.
"Don't worry about me!" Sona said, being protected by Saji, Momo and Reya.
"Haaaaaa! !" Erubetie said batting away multiple evil dragons with multiple volleys of slime.
"Come on! !" Tamamo shouts punching, kicking, slamming her tails and launching Kitsune Cannons into the Evil Dragon barrage.
"Urrrooouuuhh! !" Granberia roared after she, Xenovia and Yukari received boosts from Kenshin.
"Haaa!" Irina, Kiba, and Reya all did the same as they received boosts from Issei.
"I must heal!" Asia said.
"I've got you!" Rossweisse said, standing behind her.
A bright light shoots from Auros Academy. "Hn? !" Kenshin and Issei grunt as the magic circle sends more and more lights toward Agreas instead.
"Ohohoho! Too bad! Attacking this place and Agreas was merely a camouflage." Walburga said appearing in front of Agreas.
"Tch. I see. So what all of you were actually after was Agreas itself." Sona said. "The floating island that predates even the era of the Old Satans." Sona said. "Rizevim wants that island."
"Ohohoho!" Walburga said dodging an attack from Gasper. "As expected from the Sitri heiress. Yes that's exactly right. Rizevim ojisama seems to be very interested in that island itself. So we decided to have at it by using this method, using teleportation magic in front of the famous magicians in town. There are magicians who have connected us with them. We had the magic circle that was made by all the magicians that were turned right before it activated and had them aim at Agreas. Seems our plan was a success." She said with a smirk.
"Damn it! We've been betrayed!" Kenshin cursed.
"So that was it...you kidnapped Seekvaira just to concern us...you wanted to surround the whole region just to teleport Agreas?" Rias asked with a bitter scowl.
"That's right. It was all one giant ruse." Walburga laughed.
"Well then." Evangeline grunted. "If and when we find that traitors. I'm personally tearing them a new one."
"Then go and see what's going on down there." Kenshin nodded.
"Right, Momo, Reya go with her." Sona said.
"I'll go too, if another teleportation magic has to be drawn I'll help with it." Sextum said.
Momo, Evangeline, Reya and Sextum all head into the academy to the underground shelter as Agreas is enveloped in light. "Ghh..." Rias growled in anger. "The name Lucifer still carries a lot of weight, there are still many people around here who support it, so if his son were to make an appearance. It wouldn't be strange for someone who would help him without a second though to appear." She said.
"What are you planning to do with Agreas, what is in there exactly?" Sona said.
"..." Walburga looks toward Agreas as it disappeared. She smiled and started to gloat about their plan when a communication circle opened up next to her ear. "...What? !" She said with wide eyes as she looked up in shock.
The white sky above them was cracking, and it was getting bigger, spreading across the whole dome before eventually shattering.
"Huh? !" Kenshin said seeing a familiar spear stab into the schoolyard and felt a familiar mana and ki signature within it. "Wait...that's the True Longinus...but how? ! He died!" He thought as the True Longinus disappeared via teleportation magic. "But it is his mana and ki!"
"Tch...I didn't expect this, for both barriers to be destroyed, but it's already too late." Walburga said snapping her fingers as the remaining Evil Dragons started flying toward the school. "I know you're all tired, but please continue playing with me for a little while longer!" She said.
"Ghh!" Sairaorg got back to his feet. "Rias, Sona, Kenshin! Let's do this! The shame will be passed down to our descendants if we do not stop them!"
"Right!" Rias and Sona shout.
"Don't have any descendants, but alright." Kenshin said as everyone flies into the sky taking out the evil dragon army.
"Huh? !" Issei said seeing Walburga direct her hand at the school.
"No! !" Sona shout as she rushes toward the school yard.
"You lose~!" Walburga said directing her purple cross flames at Auros Academy.
Sona prepares to defend the academy with her life as she erects multiple barriers, but Kenshin flies above her. "Kenshin? !"
"Yume Shouheki!" Kenshin shouts, widening his left eye making the barrier appear. "Keep your barrier up Sona! I can't block all the flames!"
"R-Right!" Sona said with a resolute look.
"It's useless~!" Walburga laughed. "You can't hope to keep that up Kuroshi Kenshin!"
"Watch me you bitch!" Kenshin said as his left eye started to bleed. "Sona's been working a long damn time to see this academy built. I'll be damned before I see it burned down on my watch! !"
Cracks started to develop in the Dream Barrier. "Ohohohohoho~! See? ! You can't do it!"
"Uuurrooohhh! !" Kenshin roared as he charged more energy into the barrier, repairing it as it was damaged.
"You'll have to close that eye sooner or later!" Walburga said. "You'll destroy it if you don't!"
"If it is to be destroyed then so be it!" Kenshin shouts.
Rias turns toward her peerage. "We have to take out that witch now!"
"I'll help Sona-San with her barriers!" Rossweisse said flying to where Sona was.
"Hm?" Walburga said seeing Kiba, Xenovia, Koneko, Akeno and Issei coming after her. "Won't work!" She said surrounding herself in purple flames as a shield while at the same time strengthening the ones hitting Kenshin.
"Damn it! We can't get through! At this rate Kenshin, Kaichou and Rossweisse-San are all going to be incinerated!" Issei cursed seeing Kenshin being pushed back to where Sona and Rossweisse were.
"Damn it! !" Yukari cursed as all the members of Kenshin's peerage that were fighting were being delayed by the Evil Dragons.
"I can't get a clear shot!" Mana cursed.
"Hrm!" Tertium launched a stone spear at Walburga, but it melted to slag before reaching her. "Damn...!" Tertium said as he turned his attention to the evil dragons.
"D-Damn it! !" Kenshin shouts as the damage to his barrier was occurring almost faster than he could repair it.
"Hmn." Walburga increased her flames even more.
Suddenly, black flames appear in front of the purple flames beating them back. The flames were shaped like a human. It took Kenshin, Sona and Rossweisse a moment to realize it was Saji. "Aaaaaahhhhhh! !" He let out an agonized scream.
"Saji! ! Run! You will get killed at this rate!" Sona shouts.
"Get out of there!" Kenshin shouts. "Don't get yourself killed!"
"I wanted...to be more like Hyoudou...and you." Saji said looking over at Kenshin.
"? !" Kenshin stared at him in surprise as Saji's black flames started to weaken.
"Hyoudou and I are Pawns that become them at around the same time. He's so perverted, indecent and insanely lecherous, but at the same time...he gives everything he's got and goes ahead for his comrades or someone he thinks is important." Saji said. "Then there's you Kenshin...you are so strong it borders on insanity to me and yet you're still somehow able to make time for others while building that strength...and don't even get me started on that damn willpower of yours." He said as the purple flames started covering him. Hyoudou is miles ahead of me, while you might as well be light years ahead. When I realized this. I frustrated me to no end."
"Saji..." Kenshin said.
"If I can't get your strengths...I'll do something else then! I will become a teacher to those children! I will teach them that there's something they are capable of doing!" Saji shouts
Sona bowed her head, tears leaking from her eyes while Walburga laughed. "Ohohohohoho! It's useless! This school will be burned to the ground, right here and now!"
"Just try it you bitch! !" Saji and Kenshin shout as the black flames and Kenshin's barrier increase in ferocity and size as Walburga increased the output of her flames. In that instant however a giant black snake appeared.
"Sorry for my tardiness, my other half."
"Vritra! You've returned from the Sacred Gear!" Saji said.
"Heh." Vritra smiled at Saji's words, his eyes glowing. "I did, but it seems you've matured while I was gone, quite a bit I'd say."
"Yeah...It feels like I can finally do it now. Since the weight has been lifted." Saji said as a black aura wrapped around him.
"Heh!" Vritra smirked and turned to Walburga. "Oi! Cross user! Do not underestimate my black flame!"
"Right! Let's do this Vritra! I've wasted enough time in reaching it! It's time to show what we're really made of!" Saji shouts.
"Right! My other self I've been waiting so long for you to realize it! Now, let's show them! The power of the evil flames that earned me the title Prison Dragon!" Vritra shouts as a black aura covers him as well, black flames surrounding them both.
"Balance Break! !"
Vritra disappeared, but Saji was covered in jet black armor. Multiple tentacle like extensions growing from it, with the black flames around them. "Malebolge Vritra Promotion. I...No we who are like the flames of Hell! Which one is stronger between my black flames and your purifying purple flames. Let's find out." He said turning to Walburga, his voice mixed with Vritra's.
Kenshin finally let his barrier drop and fell to a knee covering his left eye. "Get her Saji! You can do it!" Kenshin said with a smirk. "Ugh..." He closes his eyes face twitching in pain.
"Are you OK Kenshin?" Sona said.
"I need something to cover my left eye with. It hurts to so much as have it open right now." Kenshin said.
"Right." Sona nodded going to tear her skirt, but was handed something by Rossweisse.
"Here. I was afraid this might come up someday so I had this made." Rossweisse said. "It's an eyepatch."
"Right. Here." Sona said handing it to Kenshin.
"Gh..." Kenshin fastened it onto his head and stood up, looking as Saji charged Walburga. Some of the evil dragons broke rank and charged him, but the tentacles in his armor attacked them instead. Their aura was drained away and they turned to dust. "Hmn..." Kenshin narrowed his right eye curiously.
"The Balance Breaker which has that many curses. You will get cursed to death if you approach it carelessly." Tsubaki said with a fearful look.
"Like I said! Let's find out which flame is superior!" Vritra shouts.
"Focus on the evil dragons!" Kenshin ordered. "Leave Walburga to Saji!"
"Right! I sense Fafnir's aura! He's likely returned as well with Ddraig-San from the Sacred Gear!" Asia said
"Right, I can feel his instinct." Issei said. "Welcome back. How did things go?"
"We'll leave the discussion for later. Let's clean this mess up." Ddraig said.
"Answer my voice, Golden King. Crawl on the ground and you shall receive my reward! Please come out! Gigantis Dragon Fafnir-San!"
Fafnir appears in an explosion of golden aura, at the same time. Tiamat appears in her human form next to Kenshin. "What happened to you?" She asked.
"Overused my left eye's barrier." Kenshin said.
"Uh huh." Tiamat said glancing over at Fafnir who was acting as though he were doing a cooking show for Asia's panties. "...What in Ophis' and Great Red's names is he doing?" Tiamat asked.
"..." Kenshin narrowed his eyes ruefully. "Just ignore him."
"I'm trying, but it's so strange." Tiamat said, eyes narrowed in confusion. "When did Fafnir become so...perverted...?"
"I've taken to calling it the 'Issei Effect.'" Kenshin said. (2 )
"Well it seems to be distracting the Evil Dragons." Tiamat said seeing them stop and clap with tears in their eyes.
"Well, maybe we should quit slacking and get to work." Kenshin said getting to his feet. He started to move forward when a red flash went by him. "Wha? !" Kenshin turned to see Sona knocked the side while a familiar figure had taken hold of Rossweisse. "Euclid!" Kenshin shouts.
"How do you do DxD?" Euclid said turning to Kenshin with a calm smile as Rossweisse tried vainly to break free from him. "Kenshin-kun, you don't look too good there."
"How I look is none of your concern." Kenshin said. "Though it's good you're here I've got a couple of questions before I commence to beating you into a paste."
"Oh ho? That's a bold claim. Nonetheless I'll hear your questions before I go." Euclid said.
"Where's Heinrich and Negi Ialda?" Kenshin asked.
"They're around. Heinrich has the Agares heiress with him as well." Euclid said. "I assume if I were to run into trouble they'd appear.
"Just going to give me the run around eh puppet?" Kenshin said.
"..." Euclid narrowed his eyes.
"Now put Rossweisse down and fight me like a man." Kenshin said
"Yes don't just run. Surely the right hand to the Son of Lucifer himself isn't a coward." Euclid looked behind him and saw Evangeline approaching.
"I wasn't expecting to get out of here without a fight anyway." Euclid said.
"Of course not! Release Rossweisse-San!" Issei shouts.
"I need to capture you and send you to Onii-Sama and Onee-Sama!" Rias said.
"Ohohoho my. Very well. I shall resist a bit." Euclid said.
"So this is what's keeping you Euclid. You walked right into the jaws of the enemy." Everyone looked up to see Heinrich and Negi Ialda. The former carrying Seekvaira slung and gagged over his shoulder. "Do we need this one any more?" Heinrich asked.
"Not necessarily." Euclid said. "The Agares would rather have your head than cooperate with us."
"Very well." Heinrich appeared next to him and threw Seekvaira to the ground. "Let's have our rubber match Kenshin." Heinrich said with a smirk, going immediately to the Sentinel state.
"Find another opponent Heinrich. Euclid's ass belongs to me." Kenshin said.
"You talk like you have a choice in the matter!" Heinrich said rushing Kenshin.
"Hrgh!" Heinrich was punched backward by Issei. "So you don't care if I take him then?" Issei asked.
"Help yourself." Kenshin said walking past him and toward Euclid.
"So we meet again." Negi Ialda said with her eyes closed as Yukari and Miyuki walked up to her
"You, why did you revive all of the members of the Ala Rubra?" Yukari scowled.
"...They aren't the only ones." Negi Ialda said cracking her eyes open with a demure smile.
"Tch!" Miyuki growled. "You bitch."
"If the calls of the damned are going to torture me. I might as well make use of them." Negi Ialda said.
"So you're my opponent this time. Are you sure you want this you depraved dragon?" Heinrich asked.
"Of course I am." Issei said. "A guy like you used to be hero? Well I don't see it!"
"Things happened and I changed kid. I'm not going to bother telling the story to someone who will be dead soon." Heinrich said slashing Angel Halo outward.
"There is one other thing. That girl you abducted was someone special to me." Issei growled blocking the slash. "I'll make you pay for what you did to her and her family!" He said as a red aura wrapped around him.
"Hmn." Heinrich smirked. "This might be fun after all!"
Sona coughed getting to her feet as Euclid ordered the remaining Evil Dragons to attack. "Get rid of the remaining Evil Dragons!" Sona said.
"Do as she says." Kenshin nodded toward Tiamat.
"I was going to anyway." Tiamat said throwing herself at the evil dragons tearing through several with ease.
(boom!)
A blast went past Euclid's head and hit the academy building, causing slight damage. "Hm? Oh it's you." Euclid said seeing Gondul behind Kenshin, who had just fired at him. "Did our spies give you a problem? You do seem quite winded."
"I will have you give my granddaughter back to me!" Gondul seethed
"Granny get back! You used up all your power earlier right? !" Rossweisse shouts.
"..." Kenshin closed his eyes.
"Quiet! I can at least save you!" Gondul said.
"I'm sorry, but as you stand magician you have zero hope of opposing me in that condition." Euclid said as a magic circle appeared under him and Rossweisse.
"Shit! He's trying to get away!" Kenshin shouts moving to stop him when a barrage of magic arrows hit his circle causing it to wave about and go in a different direction, before exploding. Euclid still stood there with Rossweisse, but he scowled at Gondul.
"I see...a Teleportation seal. You used quite a cunning move there." Euclid said.
"Kenshin-Dono, Princess Rias...please save my granddaughter...I...beg you..." She said as she fell over. Hikari caught her
"Don't worry I got you." Hikari said pumping mana into the weary woman's body.
"Of course we will." Rias said with a smile.
Kenshin's eyes met with Rossweisse's. "I promised I would, didn't I?"
"!" Rossweisse's eyes widened as a dark blush appeared on his face.
"Well, let's see if you can keep up!" Euclid shouts as he uncased the wings of his replica Scale Mail and took off with Rossweisse in tow.
"Get back here you coward!" Rias said.
"What? ! Are you afraid of a little work? !" Kenshin said.
"Hang on!" Alma said taking off after them as well.
"Wait!" Evangeline said.
"Leave them Master. Alma-San is the fastest of us after all." Chachamaru said.
"Very well." Evangeline said as she leaped into the fray of Evil Dragons. "Wait, where did Yukari, Miyuki and Negi go? I mean that Heinrich fellow and Issei are still here." She thought.
Kenshin, Rias and Alma gave chase after Euclid who stopped and turned to them, pointing at a nearby wasteland before flying down to it. "Why did you come Alma-San?" Rias asked.
"Well Kenshin-Chan and I were paired together for this. The ground forces back at Auros will live with three Dragon Kings there." Alma said.
"Well thanks." Kenshin said as they landed on the ground. "So Pinocchio. Were you rushing back to Geppetto?" He asked. (Technically Pinocchio is public domain, but to cover my ass It is the legal property of it's creator.)
"You're not going to stop with the puppet references are you?" Euclid grunted.
"Why should I? You seem to enjoy having Rizevim's hand up your ass." Kenshin said with a shrug
"Oooh, Kinky." Alma giggled.
"Focus." Rias scolded them both.
"But I digress. There is something I've wondered about you since I found out you were Grayfia's brother. Why? Why did you reappear now and act as a terrorist? Is this a rebellion against the current government of the Underworld?" Kenshin asked.
"Well, there are numerous reasons Kuroshi Kenshin. My dissatisfaction toward the current government and the questions I have toward my sister not withstanding. I questioned myself during so much time. So you tell me. What is a Devil?" Euclid asked
"I don't really have the right to answer that. I was born a demon." Kenshin said. "I've been a Devil for less than a year."
"I see. You can't give an answer properly. Honestly I'm the same." Euclid said.
"So then Rizevim's twisted ideals push you forward." Rias asked.
"Everyone has their own ideals and the like. However I judged that his ideals are necessary for me." Euclid said before sighing deeply. "I thought that it was most prudent for Devils to be a Devil toward humans and other forces. That simply means that we have to be more evil than any creatures and beings. Regarding this. I have the same thoughts as Rizevim-Sama. However from here onward. It will be my own answer." He raises his free arm. "I will show all of the forces what Devils are by using Rizevim. I will make them realize it. I want them to realize just how brutal and dangerous the evil species called Devils are. For me, I don't care about ruling or politics. No, that goes same for Rizevim-Sama. At the final stage. I want to show what Devils are to the human world."
"...I see." Kenshin scowled. "You're just an insane fool in the end. That way of thinking will only get Devil kind killed. I may not have an answer for you, but I know that much. Are you trying to have Devils distance themselves from all of the other factions and the human world?"
Euclid looks to the side. "My sister...I admired her. Even though she's a woman...she was stronger than anyone and she was more courageous than anyone. She was the source of my pride. I believed that supporting my sister was the path, but that sister of mine rebelled against working for 'Lucifer' and gave her heart to the abnormal species that can't be called a Devil. Rias Gremory, can you imagine just how shocked I was and how it crumbled my values?" Euclid then turned to Kenshin, who looked rather unimpressed with his story. "The balance of my heart was broken for a long time and both my mind and body were in a state which was no different to that of a corpse." Kenshin stopped him here.
"So basically you were broken because Onee-Chan wasn't watching over you anymore?" Kenshin snorted.
"Do you not know how to stay quiet when someone's telling a story. This has to do with you too." Euclid said with a glare.
"...Carry on dickbag." Kenshin said with his eyes closed.
"However, I changed when I found out about you and Hyoudou Issei, both of you act as you like and brought a new atmosphere to the Underworld." Euclid said. "Hyoudou Issei does this, but you do it to an extreme. So then I thought...I should also live as I like."
"You're tell me this is what you wanted? !" Rias shouted angrily.
"So you're putting your madness on as a result of Kenshin-Chan's mere presence in this world?" Alma said with a glower.
"It was a simple thought. For the Devils to have a hero. Children see that hero and get influenced, but that doesn't seem very Devil like. If that's the case I came to the conclusion that I want to show the children what a 'Devil' is." Euclid said. "After all, what is a hero without a villain?"
"You are twisted! Our species itself is in a dangerous situation, yet you crave for chaos instead of peace!" Rias shouts.
"Twisted? From where to where is it twisted?" Euclid asked. "My actions? The annihilation of the Satans that weren't supposed to be? Our existence is supposed to be the 'Extra' the deviated beings, just like in the Bible and documents relating to it, the exceptional beings. The irregular beings like your brother and Ajuka Beelzebub were born possible due to the corruption of our mythology. No, we probably aren't the 'Devils from the Holy Bible' anymore."
"Those devils that live today have next to nothing to do with this." Kenshin said. "But...I'll tell you where you're wrong." He said as his power calmly started to rise. "You're wrong to assume that someone like me is a Hero."
"?" Rias and Alma glanced at Kenshin who started to walk forward.
"Yes, I've seen the files on you." Euclid said with a coy smirk. "Kenshin, the merciless assassin of the Six Paths Organization. We all have our own ledgers in life, but yours is so dyed in red it's illegible. The young boy who was made out to be a monster by the world...so that's what he became, or so he'd like everyone there to believe. I wonder what would happen if people here and in Makai found out about the side of you no one knows about?"
"Tch." Kenshin scowled and put his hand on Kuroi Jigoku's hilt. "That's enough out of that cunt mouth of yours Euclid."
"Hang on Kenshin. I still want to know some things." Rias said.
"Fine, but after you're done I'm taking the fucker down." Kenshin said.
"..." Alma looked at Kenshin's back. "Is it just me or does he seem agitated?" He thought.
"Hahaha, that's it Kenshin raise your aura and protect the Underworld from me." Euclid said. "You might not be a true hero, but I'll take what I can get."
"What was your purpose for targeting Rossweisse? Is it because she's capable of reaching Trihexa's secret? Even so wasn't that a reckless action for you to appear before her and Kenshin in Tokyo, knowing the danger you put yourself in?" Rias asked.
"Because she's intelligent. She also has potential. If she comes to our side, we can use her wisely. After the method she was researching wasn't how to unseal Trihexa, but to seal it." Euclid said.
"? !" Kenshin's and Rias' eyes widen in shock at this.
"Also, she resembles her...she really does resemble her." Euclid said.
"Who?" Alma asked.
"My sister Grayfia." Euclid said.
"..." Rias, Rossweisse and Kenshin went silent at this.
"OK wow, I know Kenshin might have no room to talk, but you are a major siscon." Alma said with narrowed eyes. "The difference here being Kenshin isn't out looking for replacements and never will."
"Euclid Lucifuge...you...your heart is already..." Rias said with a pitying expression.
"Hm? What are you saying? I'm still sane." Euclid said.
"I doubt that." Kenshin said.
"Seeing as you have a connection to the Sekiryuutei I'd like to ask him something." Euclid said. "Come to think of it. I wouldn't mind posing this same question to the Spirit of Destruction inside you as well Kenshin."
"Eh?" Yuurei said through the jewels of Kenshin's armor.
"What?" Ddraig said through Kenshin's right hand.
"How bout it? Won't you both come to my side?" Euclid said.
"Are you asking me to change sides?" Ddraig asked.
"That's your game?" Yuurei asked.
"Yes, I can use your power better than all the past Sekiryuuteis. I can bring our your power more than Hyoudou Issei. I can become the personification of the Heavenly Dragon Ddraig without using a fake power called the crimson armor, hell I could even use the Juggernaut Drive. As for you Yuurei, the path I'm on ensures a lot of destruction which you seem to revel in."
"I see...if it's you, you could probably bring out more than my full power." Ddraig said.
"Hm...I do love wrecking shit." Yuurei said. "And partner here is the reincarnation of Raggy who I eternally loathe."
"Exactly. I am stronger than Hyoudou Issei after all." Euclid said. "And I'm glad you see it my way too Yuurei."
"Yeah, my current partner is the weakest in history. Not only can't he use his power properly yet. He also has the bad habit of putting his attention toward useless things and being lorded over by one of his rivals. I'm full of pain since he's so obsessed about breasts. However...he's a better option than you. No, he's much better than any previous hosts. This is what I want to say. He's a good partner."
"Who said I saw things your way boy?" Yuurei asked. "What I meant to finish with is that partner might be Raggy's reincarnation. He leads a more interesting life than Raggy did and I'd much rather see where he goes." Yuurei said.
"...Heh...heheheh...Fuahahahaha! Well then I'll just do this!" Euclid said as he snapped his fingers.
(boom!)
"? !" Kenshin, Alma, and Rias turned their heads to find a large explosion where Auros Academy was.
"Since it's all of you that are naïve we are talking about here. You captured the traitorous Magicians alive right? I put some traps on their bodies and rigged them to explode if something happens. Look, that school you were all so deadset on protecting has been destroyed. All the hardships you went through were for nothing in the end!" Euclid laughed.
"...You scum..." Rias said, her eyes aflame and twitching in anger.
"But isn't it OK? It's a pathetic school which only gathers children of the low class devils. Did you know that the school the High Class Devils attend to and it's a school only a chosen pure blood can attend. Obviously the ones teaching them come from High Class households. Their institute incorporates the latest technology to the highest level while teaching them in a manner to take importance of the tradition. The students attend that school in order to make connections with other houses. That becomes the absolute foundation for their future. In order to make them become recognizable in the high society, the high stream school will become a good insurance." Euclid explained before continuing. "Does that school hold that much value? Are you telling me a high class devil will attend there? No matter how much they study there, the result you would get at best is having them get middle-low to low high class jobs."
"Hey Rias. You done talking to him?" Kenshin asked.
"Yes." Rias said.
"Good." Kenshin said.
"!" Euclid's eyes widened as Kenshin vanished.
(Crunch!)
A sickening sound of bones crunching was heard as Kenshin's element covered fist slammed right into Euclid's face, forcing him to drop Rossweisse.
"Hrm!" Kenshin grunted and sent him flying backward.
"Kenshin!" Rossweisse said.
"Get back Rossweisse." Kenshin said looking over at her.
"Right." Rossweisse said running back toward Rias and Alma.
"Rias, you and Alma stay back." Kenshin said unsheathing Kuroi Jigoku. "Try and get in touch with anyone at Auros, see if they're alright."
"But..." Rias said.
"The bastard wanted Rossweisse and I...and he's going to get me." Kenshin said.
Euclid got back to his feet scowling at Kenshin. "You..." He seethed.
"You terrorize people, you kidnapped my comrade, you caused a lot of trouble for Grayfia, you destroyed Sona's school...and least of all, you slipped into my closet and dragged out some skeletons." Kenshin scowled as his aura flared up. "So now, I'm going to beat you to shit with the bones."
"I doubt you can. I'm better and stronger than the current Sekiryuutei and you two are close to equals." Euclid said with a smirk. "I will take the Valkyrie back and she will show her true strength by having me use her."
"No, you won't." Kenshin said. "She's far too good for a no good piece of shit like you. She's staying with us and as for you. I'm going to deliver you to Sirzechs and Grayfia."
"No, after I defeat you. I'm taking you both in as my prisoners." Euclid said as his mana flared to life and built in strength. "Come!"
(Break)
With Yukari and Miyuki.
Miyuki rushed at Negi Ialda who was already in the Raiten Taisou, sweeping her polearm blade at Negi's legs. Negi Ialda jumped to evade it, but was slugged into the ground by Yukari. Negi Ialda sprung out of the dust and slashed her halberd downward blocking both their weapons.
"What give you the right to interrupt their rest? !" Yukari said.
"No one gives me the right. I just take it!" Negi Ialda said as her lightning aura extended outward. "Chihayaburu Ikazuchi!"
"Damn!" Yukari and Miyuki both curse as Negi Ialda blasted by them. Negi Ialda turned and threw her halberd like a spear at them before she took out a card. "? !" Miyuki's eyes widened seeing it as her and Yukari were forced to separate. "That's!"
"Adeat!" Negi Ialda said as the card was replaced with a passport looking booklet that she opened and took out another card.
"N-No, wai- how do you have that? !" Miyuki said.
"Don't you remember? It's hers...or...mine rather." Negi Ialda said.
"But Theodora canceled that pactio after she and I fought Rakan in the Ostia tournament finals!" Miyuki shouts.
"And I, turned it back on." Negi Ialda said. "Mundus Magicus belonged to Hottan and I after all and that comes with all things it creates."
"Tch, that world isn't yours!" Yukari said dashing at her.
"It is...and Negi's artifact, her Mile Vincula or her Thousand Bonds are now mine to use as I please. Including her most treasured one." Negi Ialda said with a smirk as she showed the card she had put in front of the passport device. "Adeat!"
"!" Yukari crossed her swords blocking a stab from the blade of a dual bladed naginata. "That's? !" She thought.
"Oh you recognize this don't you?" Negi Ialda said with a laugh. "Yes it's the artifact that was born from the contract binding Negi Springfield and Kenshin Kuroshi."
"Tch!" Yukari growled as numerous lightning spears surrounded her after Negi Ialda jumped back.
"Onee-Chan!" Miyuki shouts. "Damn!" She said raising her polearm to block the spinning, lightning enchanted naginata.
"I'd worry more about yourself!" Negi Ialda said.
"Grrhhhh!" Miyuki growled as she struggled against the spinning naginata.
"Haaa!" Yukari roared, a blast of intense, all encompassing fire blowing away Negi Ialda's spears.
"Hm? !" Negi Ialda said seeing Yukari bearing down on her. She raised her hand trying to redirect the naginata at her, only to realize Miyuki had grabbed hold of it.
"Elemental Spica!" Yukari shouts, burying her fist in Negi Ialda's stomach.
"Guoahhh!" Negi Ialda spat out blood and saliva before being slammed to the ground on her front by Yukari who stamped down on her back and used terrakinesis to surround Negi Ialda's limbs in earth. "G-Ghhh..." Negi Ialda half growled, half groaned.
"Now, time to take that apparatus off." Yukari said ripping the back of her cloak and shirt off.
"..." Negi Ialda went silent.
"..." Yukari pumped magic into her back and the apparatus workings appeared. "Alright, just like I practiced, careful and precise. Just hang on Negi I'm going to get her out of you."
"No! Yukari-San don't do it! !" Negi shouted in vein, her voice unable to reach.
"Silence girl. This will get us both out of the quarry of that damnable Shinigami!" Ialda shouts.
"Grrrh!" Negi growled. "I swear...what you're planning won't work!"
"Hmhmhm...we'll just see about that." Ialda said with a sinister laugh.
