Kenshin was standing in the deck of the ship when he was approached by Sairaorg. "So, Kenshin you actually managed to beat that Nagi fellow huh?"

"Whoever that is." Kenshin shrugged. "I guess I did, why? Was he a difficult opponent?"

"He able to defeat me and two of your servants, Yukari and Evangeline by himself." Sairaorg said. "He was extremely powerful. I see why you hailed him as being in the Satan class." Sairaorg punched his left fist. "I could tell as we fought, he's the kind of man who trained himself to the bone. If someone like that can be that strong, then I just know I can get stronger myself."

"I dunno, you look pretty strong already Beefcake." Kenshin snickered. "But keep at it...also...please don't call them that..."

"Hm? Yukari and Evangeline? Oh...that's right when you had your memories you never liked referring to them like that." Sairaorg nodded. "My apologies...anyway, would you like to spar to pass the time?" He asked.

"Uhh...my body feels really sore, I probably wouldn't be much of a challenge right now." Kenshin said with a nervous grin.

"Well, alright. Let me know if you change your mind." Sairaorg said patting him on the arm with a grin.

Kenshin watched Sairaorg walk away. "Seems like a cool dude." Kenshin said. "Nngh!" He grunted as his left arm tensed up. "Wh-What the hell? Why is my arm hurting so much..owowowowowow..."

"Kenshin?" He turned to find Rias approaching him.

"H-Hey." Kenshin said with a strained look.

"Are you OK?" Rias asked with a worried look

"Y-Yeah, my left arm just won't quit tensing up." Kenshin said with a strained smile.

"..." Rias looked down at it, being reminded about it transforming into a dragon's arm not long ago. "Here, I'll take you to Akeno, she'll be able to help you."

"OK." Kenshin nodded as they walked. "Um...hey Rias...can I ask you something?"

"Of course...anything." Rias said with a smile.

"We're...supposed to be engaged, but...I...I can't remember anything about you..." Kenshin said. "But..I feel like whenever you look at me you appear saddened..." Kenshin said. "...Was it...forced...are...are you...glad you met me?"

"..." Rias went silent.

Kenshin reached over and grabbed her shoulders. "Please...I have to know...whenever I see you looking sad like that...it's like, something's squeezing my heart."

Rias responded by embracing him tightly. "Idiot...there's no way I wouldn't be glad I met you...when your memories come back...you'll understand fully." Rias said before kissing him on the cheek.

"!" Kenshin looked at her with tears in the corners of his eyes. "...I wish...I could remember you...and your love..."

"Hmn...you will, I promise." Rias said

"Well...if you say so..." Kenshin said as they separated, he grinned widely. "It...felt really good to..." Kenshin blushed and looked away "I mean...to have your lips press against my cheek and all." He said scratching his other cheek.

"..." Rias stared at him. "Is he...shy?" Rias closed her eyes and giggled before leaning inward. "I'll do it as many times as you want...and I won't limit it to just cheeks either." She whispered into his ear.

"U-Uhm..I wouldn't want to take up too much of your time." Kenshin said waving his hands as he backed away.

"It wouldn't be a bother." Rias said, her eyes narrowed a bit, licking her lips subtly.

"!" Kenshin's face flared up. "Oh god! That look she's giving me, wh-why is my heart racing right now? !" He thought.

Rias was interrupted as Alice came up to them. "What are you doing?" Alice said in disinterest.

"Oh, just having a little fun." Rias said with a giggle.

"Uh huh..." Alice said before pulling Rias aside. "Weren't you listening when the gynoid said it probably wouldn't be the best idea to act as if everything's normal here? That it might affect him getting his memory back?"

"I was Alice, but he asked me if our engagement was forced or not...and if I was glad we met. I couldn't help it." Rias said glancing away.

"...Haa.." Alice sighed then smiled. "I guess I see your point."

Rias was about to say something when a communication circle appeared next to her ear. "Something's come up, could you please take Kenshin to Akeno? I think the Senjutsu he absorbed in that fight might still be giving him trouble."

"The lightning priestess? OK." Alice shrugged. Rias nodded and walked away. She went over to Kenshin. "Come, I'll take you to Akeno. Something came up and Rias had to go."

"Oh, OK." Kenshin said. He happened to glance down at her stomach. "Did you have a good meal or something?"

"Hm?" Alice said looking down at herself. "Well, sort of. I'm actually expecting."

"Oh? Congrats." Kenshin said with a smile before looking around. "Is the father around? I'll congratulate him too."

"...Hmhmhm." Alice couldn't help giggling at this.

"Wha? What's so funny?" Kenshin said seeing this and having her eyes right on him. "...!" His face dyed completely red. "W-Wait...i..is it me?"

"...Haa. No use trying to hide it if you've figured it out." Alice said closing her eyes. "Hm?" She opened them back to see Kenshin hunched over.

"Oh god, what am I gonna do? I'm not ready for that kind of responsibility yet, I'm gonna mess it up, I just know it, Oh god, oh noohshitohfuckohdamnnononononono." He kept muttering in a panic.

"Hmm.." Alice placed her hand on his shoulder, getting his attention. "Calm down Kenshin." Alice said. "It wasn't accidental. I chose you for a reason. I have faith in you." She said with a smile. "You'll see why when you get your memories back."

"If you say so." Kenshin said taking a breath to calm himself down. The rest of the walk proceeded in silence before they arrived at a door. Alice knocked and then walked away, saying Akeno would know what to do.

"Come in~!" He heard Akeno say. He entered to find her wearing a white robe that ended at mid thigh.

"..." Kenshin blinked, face flushed.

"Ufufufu. Rias already told me what you needed, please have a seat." Akeno said patting the spot next to her on the bed she was sitting on.

"U-Uh...OK." Kenshin said.

Meanwhile, Yukari was talking with Rias. "...So he actually asked that?" Yukari asked.

"Yes." Rias nodded. "Are you sure there isn't something going on with him?"

"I'm positive, there's no memory seals on him, his mana isn't disrupted from a memory erasure spell and Raynare said her memory wiping gear that was issued to her is still on her and even showed it to me." Yukari said. "There...was something I noticed that unnerved me."

"What?" Rias asked.

"Under Kenshin's chin, there was a seal. When I checked his notes on them, It said flame spear, upside down" Yukari said. "As you know, Kenshin's seals are geared to spit things out, but if the seal is upside down..."

"Wait, then wouldn't it fire the flame spear into his body?" Rias said her eyes slowly widening in realization.

"That's what unnerved me." Yukari said. "I mean, it was standard Rikudou protocol to self terminate if you found yourself compromised with no way out, but...I never had to have something like that done to me." Yukari paused. "...God fucking damn it..." She said. "Kenshin prevented it..."

"But he's not in Rikudou anymore!" Rias said. "Why didn't he get rid of the seal? !"

"Tch, I'd like to say he forgot about it, but that just isn't like him." Yukari said with her eyes closed. "I think he was planning to activate if Ialda got her way."

"Damn it! Why is he like this? ! Always thinking about doing things like this!" Rias said banging her fist on the wall.

"You heard them talking." Yukari said with a sigh.

"I'm just letting people see the real me." Kenshin said to Ialda with a shrug, his eyes closed. "A hopeless bastard who's dreams died a long time ago."

"I think happiness is pointless...that pain and torment will never stop, but you...you're the kind of person who can't be happy anymore, because of his massive paranoia that things will just go back to hell eventually." Ialda said.

These two lines rang in Rias' head, she looked away. "W...Was it all a farce then?"

"Huh?" Yukari said.

"Everything we did together...that everyone did with him." Rias said wiping her eyes. "None of it helped at all? Was he just faking being happy with us?"

"..." Yukari shook her head. "No, that's not true. Being back here in Mundus Magicus...in confederate territory, having to kill Nagi...Negi being trapped by Ialda...it's probably stirred a lot of things up inside him and he's been trying to deal with it, but fighting Ialda like he did, probably made everything overflow, but...being with everyone, back in the Underworld and Kuoh...I...hadn't seen him happy like that in a long time...and I was so grateful for that..that finally...just...finally I had something akin to what he was before everything happened to him."

"...This has...bothered you for a long time hasn't it?" Rias asked.

"..." Yukari looked down at the floor, a couple of teardrops hitting it. "Rias...I know you love him dearly...but...you weren't the one that..." Her fists began to shake. "Tha...that had to watch him suffer, totally unable to help him!" She said punching the wall, warping it heavily.

"..." Rias stared at her with wide eyes.

"I could never get him to confide in me about his pain, saying it wasn't worth talking about..." Yukari said punching the wall again, warping it further. "But it's so obvious that all of that pain is destroying him from the inside out!"

Rias walked up to Yukari and pulled her into an embrace as the younger twin sister of Kenshin started to cry.

"He...He's always felt so alone..." Yukari said, sobbing. "That no one understood him or what he was going through. I thought I did, but..."

"It...It's because he doesn't talk about it." Rias said blinking away her own tears. "If he talked about it...we could help him."

"He never will." Yukari said. "Just...trust me on this Rias...he'll never talk about it."

"Well...what if we looked into his memories then?" Rias said.

Yukari pulled away from her and stared. "That's only going to piss him off when he does get his memories back Rias...he even blew up on Negi of all people for sticking her nose in his private matters."

"I don't care. I'll take it if it means he can move on." Rias said.

"Hmn..." Yukari closed her eyes and smiled. "You know...I...I'm really glad he met you." She said. "I know I've said it before, but...he needs someone like you in his life...and I need your help."

"I know." Rias nodded with a smile. "...Come on..we have to tell everyone the plan."

"Alright...but Rias..." Yukari paused. "What you're planning to do...because you love Kenshin so much...it's...going to hurt."

"...I know...but..." Rias smiled a bit. "He's been baring pain for so long...I want to show him I'll bare it with him, and I'm sure I'm not the only one."

"...Hmh..." Yukari closed her eyes. "Heh, damn right you're not."

"Come on, let's go help him find hope again." Rias said taking Yukari's hand and running forward.

"H-Hey wait, d-don't run forward so suddenly!" Yukari said with a surprised blush.

Meanwhile Kenshin was sitting on the bed, Akeno knelt between his legs, sucking on his index finger. "G-Gaahh..." Kenshin closed his eyes, feeling her tongue wriggling around the digit, her lips pursing around it. "G-Ghh...D-Do we really have to do it this way?"

"Would you rather prefer...a more direct way?" Akeno said her eyes darting toward his crotch.

"! !" Kenshin's face flared deeply. "U-Uh, n-no thanks, th-that sounds like too much trouble!" He said.

"Hmmm? What are you talking about?" Akeno said removing her lips from his finger with a coquettish smile. "It would be my pleasure, to give you that sort of treatment...to watch your face contort in bliss as I slowly...agonizingly sucked everything out of you." She said licking her lips.

"Wh-Whaa...? !" Kenshin's voice squeaked after hearing this, he then started to shake his head. "N-No! I-I barely know you and I apparently have a fiancee and a couple of children on the way! It wouldn't be right!"

Kenshin's eyes were closed, so he missed the hurt look on Akeno's face, but she sighed and smiled remembering he couldn't remember anything at all. "Relax Kenshin-kun I was only teasing." She giggled. "I-I tend to go a little overboard, I'm sorry."

"O-Ok." Kenshin said rubbing his arm. "I think I'm good now."

"OK." Akeno said as she stood up. Kenshin blushed a bit at the movement of her considerably large assets around the chest area. "Ufufufu...see something you like Kenshin-kun?"

"U-Um..." Kenshin looked away with a dark blush.

"Relax, it's only more teasing." Akeno giggled.

"Uhm, well...I just had a thought is all.." Kenshin said.

"Hmmn? What is it Kenshin-kun?" Akeno said with a curious look.

"Wh-What we've just did...what Alice-San said to me earlier...how sad everyone looks when they see me..." Kenshin said. "I...I feel so bad that I can't remember you all."

"Kenshin-kun..." Akeno said with a sorrowful smile. "It's OK, you'll..." She was cut off.

"It's just...if I'm having these reactions...the memories have to be in there somewhere right? In my mind?" Kenshin said. "If only there were someway to look into it...my mind there is." He said stroking his chin in thought.

"!" Akeno stared at him, blinking in surprise. She quickly rushed into the next room and changed into her Kuoh uniform and grabbed Kenshin's wrist. "Come with me!"

"A-Aaah? ! W-What's the rush? !" Kenshin asked.

Akeno ran with Kenshin in tow until she ran into Rias and Yukari. "Akeno, what's the rush?" Rias said.

"T-The memory v-viewing spell! We could use it on Kenshin-kun!" Akeno said getting her breath back.

"..." Rias and Yukari both shared a look before laughing.

"Wh-What the hell's so funny? ! I'm being serious here!" Akeno griped with a glare.

"I-It's nothing!" Rias laughed. "It's just..."

"Well, we were thinking the same thing." Yukari said. Akeno told them how she found it out and Yukari nodded. "I concur, if he's feeling things from all of us interacting with him, his memories haven't been tampered with, something's just blocking them."

"But you said there was no seals." Rias said.

"It could be a self mental block in reaction to all the pain he was in." Yukari said looking out the window morosely.

"Um...excuse me, what are you talking about?" Kenshin asked.

"There is actually a spell that can peer into your memories and mind." Rias said. "...With your permission, we'd like to use it on you." She clapped her hands together, winking with a smile. "It won't hurt, I promise."

"Hmn...?" Kenshin tilted his head curiously before smiling. "Well...if that's the only way to get my memories back, then I accept."

"OK!" Rias said closing her eyes with a smile. "Give us a moment to gather people, something tells me others want to help as well."

"Hmn, do as you wish, my darling fiancee." Kenshin said with a smile.

"!" Rias' heart thumped at this, her face turning red, but she smiled. "Right away, my dear." She said as she ran off leaving Kenshin in Akeno's care.

"Someone's looking happy." Yukari said with a coy smile as they ran.

"C-Can you blame me? That's literally the first time he's ever called me a romantic pet name." Rias said.

"Heheheh." Yukari laughed. "I don't blame you...I...I'd love for him to call me...something like...his lovely Yukari...or something along those lines."

"Aren't you supposed to be a tsundere?" Rias chided.

"I told this to Kenshin, but seriously. Why fight something that's already been given to you?" Yukari said. "Issei and that show's producers just had a lucky guess on my romantic personality."

"Hmhm." Rias giggled a bit. "I see. You love him a lot so, it's to be expected, but I won't let you take my spot."

"Ha! It would never be accepted anyway!" Yukari balked with a laugh. "I'm fine with my current position."

An hour later Kenshin was in the resort that Dana hadn't taken back yet. Surrounding him was Rias' peerage, Sona's peerage, his own peerage, Sairaorg, Seekvaira, Irina, Gabriel, Raynare, and Ophis...in addition to this, Sirzechs had also sent along Azazel and Serafall. Kenshin turned to the very last one. "...wow..." He smiled. "Y-You're really cute."

Serafall had been informed of Kenshin's amnesiac condition when she arrived so she just smiled and bounced cutely on one leg, spinning her staff. "Thank you for the compliment Kenshin-kun!" She said winking with her tongue out.

"!" Kenshin's face flushed but his smile remained. "You're welcome Serafall." He looked around. "Wait...are you all going to view my memories?" Kenshin asked.

"Some of us just want to see what's up with you." Seekvaira said. "As a fellow ally."

"Oh, OK." Kenshin nodded. "OK, well...whenever you're ready." Kenshin said laying on his back.

"Wait, Sensei why are you here?" Issei asked Azazel.

"I may not look it, but...Kenshin's my student and he needs help. I want to provide it if I can." Azazel said with his eyes closed.

Yukari closed her eyes as a large magic circle appeared beneath everyone. "Sit down everyone."

Everyone did so and they all fell back unconscious. "..." Everyone looked around, finding themselves standing atop a vast ocean. "What is this...?" Issei said looking around.

"What do you mean Issei? Seekvaira asked.

"When Kenshin first got here, he and I had to merge our souls together or else I would have died." Issei said.

"..." Raynare looked down at the water solemnly. Issei grabbed her hand and shook his head.

"We've been over this, I don't hate you for that anymore." Issei said with a smile. "But, I've never seen this place before."

"...Thanks." Raynare smiled back.

"!" Rias looked out ahead seeing a familiar figure standing, bowing his head toward the water with a despondent look. "Kenshin!" She shouted out.

"...!" He turned to them with wide eyes. "R-Rias...e-everyone...what are you...doing here?" He said.

"Kenshin, we came here to help you!" Yukari said walking toward him quickly.

"!..." A terrified look washed over Kenshin's face. "N-No...you...you all shouldn't be here! Please leave n-no-ullgh!"

"? !" Everyone's eyes widened in shock as several black tendrils stabbed through Kenshin's torso from behind and raised him off the surface of the water.

"Kenshin-kun!" Akeno shouted.

"What just happened?" Gasper said with wide eyes.

"Heheheh..." A dark chuckle filled the area.

Everyone watched as a darker version of Kenshin with devil wings sticking out of his back appeared in front of the tendrils. "So, you decided to come here...welcome."

"Who are you...and what is this..." Hikari asked.

"Where we are...well...I guess I could welcome you to the vast Ocean of Despair." The dark Kenshin said with a smirk. "It used to be a collection of towns that made me feel good, but...all the despair and regret I've been feeling...made it rain so much here that it flooded."

Azazel noticed the 'ID' on this Kenshin's chest. "You're Kenshin's ID aren't you?"

"ID?" Raynare said looking back at her adoptive father.

"Look at the brain on you." He said. "Indeed. I am the ID of Kenshin Kuroshi." He smiled as his eyes became black pools of the abyss. "But you can just call me ID."

Everyone was unnerved by how creepy ID's black eyes looked. "Did you do that to Senpai?" Koneko asked.

"The Ego? Yeah, but it was under orders of the SuperEgo." ID said with a shrug. "Seriously...that motherfucker's a slave driver."

"ID?" Saji asked.

"The personification of Kenshin's sex or life instinct, Eros or the part that contains the libido and also the aggressive death instinct." Azazel said.

"Wow, you literally have a book on me huh?" ID said before smirking. "Yes. I am the representation of Kenshin Kuroshi's wants, desires...and also his lust..." He said his eyes shining. "...Oh god...you all look so hot...it's getting me hot!" He said embracing and stroking his hands across himself.

"Can you please focus?" Rias asked with a glaring blush.

"Wow, so this is what Kenshin's inner perversion's like." Issei said with a thoughtful look.

"Alright...I mean after all..." ID's aura dark aura stretch outward. "I mean after all...I am also the source of Kenshin Kuroshi's bloodlust and rage!"

"Which is quite massive as we've seen." Azazel said in disinterest as black tendrils grabbed almost everyone and raised them up except Azazel, Serafall and Ophis. "Tch, Put them down. You aren't fooling anyone, you won't hurt them."

"Hmn, fine." ID said lowering them to the surface before letting them go. "So...I gotta ask why are you all here? This is the biggest party I've ever been to."

"They're here to view the memories...to figure out how to help us."

"Hmn?" ID looked over seeing a child version of Kenshin bathed in white, to the point even his clothes were white and his wings resembled angel wings. "Oh hello Super."

"ID." The SuperEgo said with a nod. "Please leave...they need an unbiased opinion of our memories."

"HA! You think you're unbiased! You're literally our moral high ground!" ID said with a laugh.

"I'm more unbiased than you." SuperEgo said glaring at the ID.

"Hmn!" ID shrugged. "I'll clam up for the most part, but I'm not going anywhere."

"That is fine." SuperEgo said before turning to the group. "So...you're here to help us...I thank you, but...I also ask why? We've been such a horrible person."

"Azazel, please explain." Hikari said.

"In the mind there exists three vital things that help control the mind. The Ego, which is the conscious mind, the Super Ego which checks the Ego's wants and ID's selfish needs and wants. The ID is usually infantaile and does not become affected by the outside world...but for some reason Kenshin's has matured. There's more to it than that, but that's the basic theory."

"Because so much suffering and pain has been dumped on me...I matured." ID said with a smirk. "Sometimes, when...we're drowning in pleasure or pain...that feeling...that's me." He said with a smirk.

The ID began to shake, SuperEgo began to shake it's head. "What's wrong?" Xenovia asked.

"The fool has been denied pleasure for so long, that it's become unpleasure or tension." SuperEgo said with his eyes closed.

"We're here to help you because we care about you." Rias said stepping forward.

"Really?" ID said with a derisive smirk.

"Hmn..." SuperEgo closed his eyes with a smile. "For once we agree you idiot."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Issei said with a glare.

"If you're here to help us..." SuperEgo opened his eyes dismissively. "What the hell took you so long?"

"Wh-What the hell took us...you never talk about what's going on with you!" Yukari shouted.

"Yukari, Yukari ,Yukari..." SuperEgo shrugged. "You of all people should know I'm not the type of person to start that conversation. Especially not with them..." He said.

"...What's that supposed to mean?" Xenovia said, seeing him look at her and the other devils.

"Please..." ID shrugged. "If most of you knew half the things we've done...you'd run away from us in terror."

"..." Rias narrowed her eyes solemnly.

"..." Both SuperEgo and ID felt uncomfortable seeing this.

"Do you have that little faith in us?" Rias asked. "Truly?"

"Having faith and hope...they both get you killed." SuperEgo said. "I had faith and hope before...you know how many times I nearly died?"

"Literally hundreds." ID said with a nonchalant shrug.

"Not even in us?" Akeno asked.

"It's called crippling paranoia, ya heard of it? I've had it for years." ID said crossing his arms.

"It's too late now." SuperEgo said. "Faith, hope...dreams? These things are alien to us now...they were ripped away from us as a child, replaced with regret, hate, and nightmares and that's what they shall remain as, nothing shall change that."

"Even if you help us now, it won't change anything." ID said.

"I bet you you're wrong." Issei said stepping forward.

"Hmn?" SuperEgo said. "Ah, you're the one here whose own SuperEgo is a bit lazy."

A pure white version of Issei walked out of Issei himself. "It's not that I'm lazy dude, it more this one's Ego and ID are fucking joined at the hip."

"Oooh, sounds fun." ID said with a smirk as Issei's SuperEgo disappeared. "Anyway...you bet we're wrong?"

"Nobody can go through life being miserable forever. You even haven't you idiots." Issei said pointing at them. "It's just this damn situation you're in stirring shit up."

"Fine, we'll take your bet." SuperEgo said as he turned and lowered the Ego to the water's surface. He walked over to it and disappeared upon touching him. The Ego raised up and walked up next to the ID taking on SuperEgo's features.

"Ah, so nice looking at you at eye level now Super." ID said. "Soo..."

Super looked over at the group. "What would you like to know first?"

"There has to some happy memory you have that doesn't involve your time at Kuoh, let's start with that." Azazel said.

"Ah, digging deep in the nitty gritty huh?" ID said. "Before we do that, I would like you all to take a look downward."

"..." Everyone took a look down. "!"

"Whoa! That's Kuoh!" Issei said.

"And Mahora!" Kazumi said.

"Megalomesembria, The Kuroshi Tsuki Encampment, the Rikudou headquarters, what is this? !" Yukari said.

"Simple, every place that's had a significant impact on our life is here." SuperEgo said. "Positive or Negative."

"So why is this all underwater?" Serafall asked.

"You notice that this area is overcast right?" ID said pointing up. "When the we're happy, which granted isn't that often, but I digress, the sun shines...however...when we despair...it rains. When we're angry, it storms."

"Wait..you called this place the Ocean of Despair, you mean it's literally been raining enough in here to flood it this much? !" Sona asked with wide eyes.

"Yes...but...I digress." SuperEgo said with a smile, his eyes closed. "The rain had ceased for a few months, breaking occasionally when we worried or were disturbed, but before that? It was an unending decade long plus downpour."

"..." Yukari and Hikari both bowed their heads in regret.

"And I don't mean the time after Megalo either. Chronologically, I'm older than most of you by a decent margin." SuperEgo said. "Come on..." ID shrugged. "If we were never around, all the girls interested in me would naturally flock to you." He said with a smirk. "If everything were the same, yet we never existed..."

"! !" Issei stepped back.

"Yes...you perverted beast." The SuperEgo said with a smirk of his own. "Your ID and Ego are one in the same in a practical sense...so...wouldn't you want to taste that pleasure."

"So, I see your SuperEgo isn't lazy, just...inconvenienced." SuperEgo said. "OK...I need to give you all a run down of how this will work. The memories you'll be viewing will be ones that everyone can see, so no private moments will be shown."

More than a few faces tinted red and nodded. "Alright." ID said. "I suppose we'll start at the beginning then."

The waters of despair rushed and flowed before a bright flash blinded them. "Wait, why did the real Kenshin forget all of us? !" Issei asked.

"Because Ialda succeeded, our mind is broken! We can't fix it!" SuperEgo and ID said.

When the light died down. They found themselves in front of a Japanese mansion. "Huh? Are we in Kyoto?" Issei said.

"I think we are..." Rias said.

"We are, this is the Konoe mansion..." Yukari said.

"Um, everyone" Akeno said. "You might want to take a look at yourselves."

"What are you talking about Akeno." Rias said before looking down at herself. "W-What the? ! What happened to my body!"

"Huh..you and I look like we did when we were five." Sona said. "Maybe it has to do with the memory we're viewing."

"Huh, when you put it that way, it makes sense." Rias said.

"So this is what you looked like as a younger girl Rias." Akeno giggled. "You're so adorable."

"A-Akeno please!" Rias said.

"..." Sona stared at Rias.

"Wh-What?" Rias said.

"It's been so long since these days of our lives...I forgot how you looked before puberty hit you like a truck." Sona said.

"Oh come on Sona! I didn't ask to have huge breasts!" Rias said stomping her foot in annoyance. "I wouldn't have minded being smaller if it made you less envious."

Issei overheard this conversation and weeped silently at the prospect of someone's bust line shrinking. He turned to Irina and stared. "Wh-What?" Irina said with a blush.

"Well except for us." Azazel said standing with Hikari, Tamamo and Gabriel.

"Well, it probably wouldn't make any sense." Yukari shrugged. "One of you is our Mom, the other three have been alive for ages."

"Uh, hey." Sona said seeing a group of five walk up to the door of the Japanese home.

"That's Nagi Springfield and that Arika woman we saw in our first trip here." Akeno said.

"And that man...that's Ryuushin Kuroshi. Kenshin's, Yukari's and Miyuki's father. Who is that blue haired man though..." Rias said.

"Yeah, that's Dad alright." Miyuki said with a smile.

"Who knows. If Kenshin never mentioned him before now in meaningful capacity he must not be important." Sona said.

"Actually the blue haired man is Albireo Imma, another surrogate uncle of ours." Yukari said.

"That said...the boy must be..." Sona said

"Kenshin..." Rias said with a smile.

"Awww~! He's so cute!" Akeno giggled.

"Well, we won't argue there..." Rias and Sona said.

"Seeing this version of Kenshin makes it hard to see him as he is now." Issei said with a chuckle.

"Hey, why are both his eyes blue? Isn't his left one gold?" Saji asked.

SuperEgo's voice chimed in. "That will be revealed in due time."

"Ah" Everyone nodded.

They all listened into the conversation as the child Kenshin knocked on the door.

Arika patted Kenshin on the head. "It's a big place remember?" "I doubt they heard that."

Ryuushin rang the doorbell. "Ah it's just cause he's not tall enough to reach the doorbell."

A woman with flowing brown hair wearing a long sleeved shirt and a long skirt answered the door. "Oh Nagi-kun Arika-Chan how are you doing today?"

Ryuushin cocked an eyebrow upward. "What am I?" "Stewed turnip?"

"Oh Ryuushin-kun I didn't see you there." "Sorry."

"It's fine Konaka-Chan." "Is Eishun busy yet?" Ryuushin asked.

"No not yet." "He's actually getting ready to train an orphan we recently took in today." Konaka said.

"Oh?" "When do you think he will be starting?" Ryuushin asked.

"Oh later today I believe." Konaka said. She then looked down and saw Kenshin. "Oh!" "Kenshin-Chan how are you doing today?"

"Mmmrrrrmm." Kenshin sounded annoyed with the 'Chan' suffix. "I'm ok Aunt Konaka."

Konaka giggled and hugged the boy. "Oh you're soooo cute!"

Kenshin waved his arms around. Ryuushin chuckled. "Uh Konaka-Chan ya mind takin' my son's head out of your bust?" "I think he needs air."

"Haaaaahhhhh!" Kenshin gasped. Konaka giggled and petted Kenshin on the head. "I'm sorry Kenshin-Chan." "Come on I'll take you to see Konoka and her new little friend."

"Ehhh? !" "Kono-Chan has a new friend? !" Kenshin rushed past her and into the house.

"Uh you sure he won't get lost in there?" Nagi asked.

Konaka shook her head. "He went straight ahead where Konoka and her friend are." "He probably thinks is another boy."

"Ha ha ha!" Ryuushin chuckled. "I'm starting to think we tease him too much."

"No way!" Nagi laughed.

Meanwhile Kenshin had ran out to the garden area where he found two girls playing. One had long brown hair like Konaka's and was wearing a kimono while the other had on a white longsleeved kendo shirt with blue hakama pants she had black hair done up so it would hang straight out to the left side of her head.

"Kono-Chan!" Kenshin said.

"Huh? Ken-kun!" The brown haired girl said running over to him and glomping him. "I missed you sooo much!"

"I-I missed you too Kono-Chan." Kenshin said hugging her back.

"Heheh, that girl's so cute." Issei laughed.

"So this is 'Kono-Chan'" Akeno said with a smile. "Kenshin-kun's childhood friend."

"Hm...she seems really sweet at first glance." Sona said with a smile.

"She must have really liked Kenshin, but who is the other girl?" Rias asked.

"U-Um Ojou-Sama...who is this?" The black haired girl asked.

"Ahhh Secchan!" "Call me Kono-Chan!" Konoka whined.

"U-Um...sorry K-Kono-Chan." She said.

Konoka smiled and dragged Kenshin over to her. "Secchan this is my other friend I was telling you about. This is Ken-kun." She said.

Kenshin turned his head away. "U-Um...my full name is Kenshin."

The black haired girl reached over and turned Kenshin's head toward her. "Kenshin-San isn't it polite to look someone in the eyes when introducing yourself."

"S-Sorry." Kenshin said blushing lightly at the contact. "My name is Kenshin. What's yours?"

"It's fine. I'm Setsuna." She said. "I-It's nice to meet you."

"Y-Yes." Kenshin said. Konoka thought of a funny prank and stepped behind Kenshin. She then pushed him into Setsuna causing him to accidentally kiss her right on the lips. They both broke the contact immediately. "K-Kono-Chan! What was that for? !" Kenshin whined.

Rias, Akeno and Sona who were watching this memory were aghast. "Kenshin's first kiss was a girl he'd only just met? !"

"Ha ha ha! That's one for the album necklace!" Kenshin turned and saw his Dad holding a camera. "Dad! Get rid of that!" Kenshin shouted.

"No way! I'm not tossing out the picture of my son's first kiss!" Ryuushin laughed.

"Dad!" Kenshin chased after him swinging a bokken. "It's not funny! !"

"Ha ha ha!" Konoka laughed merrily while Setsuna had a couple of fingers on her lips.

Ryuushin ran past one of the hallways just as a man in a black shirt and black pants walked out. Kenshin having no time to stop crashed right into him. "Owwww..."

"Are you alright Kenshin-kun?" The man asked.

"Y-Yeah Uncle Eishun." Kenshin said. "I was just chasing Dad for teasing me again."

"Oh?" "What about?" Eishun asked. Ryuushin chuckled and called him over and showed him the picture. "Ho ho? Setsuna's and Kenshin's first kiss at age 5?" He chuckled. "Should I set up an omiai when they're teenagers?"

"Eishun-Sama!" "Uncle Eishun!" Setsuna and Kenshin both complained. "Enough already!"

"I remember Kenshin mentioning her a few times." Rias said with a smile. "I think these two were close as well."

"How much of that is due to the sudden kiss though?" Sona asked.

"Probably not much." Akeno said. "It takes more than that for Kenshin-kun to fall for someone."

"Seems the memory's over." Sona said. "Everything stopped."

"Man...Kenshin really was shy back then huh?" Issei said.

"Wow, Kenshin-Senpai was like me at one point..." Gasper said.

"Well, not as bad...but yes." Valerie giggled petting Gasper's head.

The group reappeared on the surface of the Ocean of Despair. "Welcome back." ID said with a shrug.

"See? You were carefree and happy once." Issei said.

"Pfft." ID snickered. "Yeah, granted it was both Pre Megalo and I was five."

"Now we're going to open up the history books." SuperEgo said.

"Yeah, the history books of Pain and Misery!" ID said as the waters rushed again.

The group appeared atop a building in a metropolis. "Where are we?" Xenovia said.

"This must be Megalomesembria." Rias said.

"It is." Hikari said.

"...Oh no..." Yukari said, dread filling her face.

"O-Onee-Chan...y-you don't think..." Miyuki said with a frightened look.

The door leading up to this building's roof opened. "!" They all watched Kenshin walk out with a dead look in his eyes, wearing tattered remains of his old clothes which looked to have been restitched multiple times.

Kenshin stood on the ceiling of the hospital clutching a knife in his hand contemplating what he was going to do with it. He heard someone walk up behind him and slipped into his shirt. "What do you want Ric?"

"Kenshin you took off without so much as saying a word." Ricardo said.

"I like it that way. No one knows I'm here, but they'll find me." Kenshin sitting down and curling up into a ball. "They always do."

"Fine...stay up here Kenshin." Ricardo said sighing. "Just promise me you won't do anything drastic."

"Alright." Kenshin said emotionlessly.

After a few moments Kenshin stood back up and took out the knife. "I can't go on...anymore. All these constant beatings have nearly killed me over and over again."

"!" Akeno's eyes widened at this. "Kenshin-kun don't!" She cried out.

Kenshin drove the knife into his heart. "Grrruuuh!" Weakly he drove it in a second time. "With this..." He thought driving the knife in a third time.

"No!" Sona said trying to reach forward to stop him, despite the fact that this was a memory.

"Stop!" Almost everyone shouts, forgetting it was a memory.

"I will finally be freed..." Thought the suicidal boy driving the knife in a fourth and final time. "From this...constant torture." He dropped the knife and fell to the floor smiling sadly with tears streaming down his face.. "I'm sorry...Yukari-Chan...Dad...Mom."

The memory stopped and they all reappeared back at the surface. "From there, Yukari and Miyuki under a guise healed me, but then had to leave me there. I can imagine why." SuperEgo said. "They couldn't sneak me out, and where would they take me?"

"From there, a defiance began to well inside us." ID said.

"Only one who is stronger than I will be allowed to kill me." SuperEgo and ID said as one."

"I knew you did it, but to actually watch it done..." Issei said.

"Not too fun is it?" ID said with a small smirk.

"W-What's wrong with you? Don't you even care that you just made people who care about you watch you try to kill yourself." Rossweisse said.

"You guys asked for this. You wanna understand us? Gotta see the full picture." ID said holding his hand up. "The highs...and the lows." He said lowering his hand.

"Alright, this next one takes place when I was ten." SuperEgo said as they vanished again. "By this time Ferdinand the First had cut our left eye out, and that's how we got the one we have now."

The group found themselves at a torn apart battlefield. "This place." Tertium said.

"What is it?" Azazel asked.

"Kenshin and Hottan Ialda came to blows here, while they were possessing Hikari-San." Tertium said.

"This...is the day he freed me from their control." Hikari said looking down.

"Kenshin..." Everyone looked over, seeing a past Hikari dressed in black mage robes on top of Kenshin. "Kenshin!" She said embracing him tightly.

"M-Mom?" Kenshin said, with wide eyes, his breath going still.

"Y-Yes...it's really me..." Hikari said lifting him onto his knees. "...Please...just let me hold you for a moment."

Kenshin nods looking over Hikari's shoulder. His eyes widen as the dark figure from before darts after them. Thinking fast he tosses his mother to the side and takes a blade through the stomach. "Guh!"

"Kenshin! !" Past Hikari screams.

"I told you that no matter what it took...I would kill you! !" He takes the blade out and cuts a diagonal gash across Kenshin's body kicking him away.

"Hm hm...This turned out to be a blessing in disguise." The man said walking toward Kenshin spinning the boy's own artifact. "That seal Nagi put on me has lost effect on the both of us." "The wounds...on this woman's body are just too much to heal quickly."

Kenshin staggers to his feet. "D-Damn you." He spat. His eyes suddenly widen as the golden hue in his left iris vanishes. "N-No! My left eye! It's gone blind!"

"The eye I gave you needs youki to see." "When you are low on youki it will cease functioning." Kenshin recalls the words from two years ago, when he received the replacement left eye. "No...I'm at my end in energy!"

Suddenly he registered a presence standing right next to him. He turned and saw the man that challenged him in his dream to this fight. "Damn you!" Kenshin punched toward the man only to have his fist effortlessly caught.

"Tsk tsk tsk." He said. "You know you shouldn't stand against the creator." "You recognize me don't you Kenshin-kun?" He said mockingly.

Kenshin's glare toward the man deepened. "Fuck you Hottan!" "I'm going to make you pay for everything you've done to me and my family!"

"Ha ha ha!" "Then by all means try! !" Hottan said batting him away. Hottan appeared under him and drove his palm into Kenshin's back. "Ha ha!" "You can't even fight anymore." He shouts kicking him high into the sky. "Kokuu Eisou!" Several large arms came out of Hottan's body as he rushed toward Kenshin who tried to regain his stability. Hottan chopped him across the neck and buried his fist into the boy's stomach before slamming his fist across the boy's face sending him barreling toward the ground.

"Why isn't Kenshin able to fight back? !" Sairaorg said.

"He burnt himself out." Hikari said with her eyes closed. "He fought Tertium, Sextum and their two brothers before hand and just finished with me. He had nothing left."

"Why...did this happen?" Kenshin thought. "I worked so hard for this. I was supposed to beat this asshole and get the family back together! I'm...not supposed to die here! !"

Kenshin regained his balance and landed in front of Past Hikari. "Kenshin! Take it easy I sense someone coming!"

"We'll both be dead by then!" Kenshin shouts. "I'm going down fighting!" A pure white aura flowed around Kenshin, but almost instantly cut out.. "Wh-What?"

"Fu fu fu." Hottan laughed landing across from him. "It seems you've burnt out." "All that strength you had is gone."

Kenshin grit his teeth. "Mom." "Get moving if you can." "Go toward them and get help. I'll try to buy you some time."

"Wh-What? No! It should be the other way around!" Hikari said.

"Just go!" Kenshin shouts. "I'm not about to let all that work I put into getting you back have been for nothing!"

Kenshin stares shocked as Hikari falls to the ground. He turns to find Hottan smirking. "It wouldn't matter much anyway. She wouldn't get far. Not with all that damage." Hottan kicks Kenshin into a stalagmite who hit it headfirst with a sickening snap. Kenshin tried to get up only for his body to convulse and hit the ground.

Hottan slowly walked over to Kenshin. "You...never stood a chance to begin with. Not you...nor Nagi Springfield. All his attempts at hindering me have failed. Just as your attempts to stop me have failed." "And now..." Hottan trailed off as a menacing aura surrounded him. "You...will...Die..."

Hottan had one of his arms toss Kenshin's body into the air over his head. Spinning Kenshin's naginata he slashed it into Kenshin's stomach and dragged it up between his lungs barely missing his spine. Blood seeping out of his mouth he breathed out. "M...Mom..."

"Heheheh." Hottan smirked and knelt down. "Here, a little something to take with you in your final minutes." He said as he drew a seal on Kenshin's chest and pushed a sphere into him.

"Wh..What did he just...?" Seekvaira started to ask.

"The soul of Negi's mother Arika." Hikari said. "Up until he vanished, when came to your world, he housed her soul in his body."

"When he returned here the first time, Hottan wanted to possess him, here he wanted to kill Kenshin. What gives?" Kazumi asked.

"He rethought things." Tertium said. "This is how their first fight ended if you recall Ialda saying."

As Hottan started to walk away, Kenshin's hand reached out and gripped his ankle. "Wh...Where the hell do you think you're going? I'm still alive...you said you were going to kill me."

"Well...if you insist." Hottan said turning toward him and extended his hand outward, but paused. "Tch...not only did you pass back out, but daddy dearest is coming in hot."

The memory ended. "T-That was horrible." Momo said wiping her eyes.

"How is there someone who could do that to a child?" Ruruko said. "Both being dumped in that city and that last memory."

"Not defending them, but they aren't exactly sane." Sextum said.

"Hmn..." SuperEgo appeared before them. "You're not even half way through yet and some of you are like this."

"Where's the ID?" Azazel asked.

"I told him to take a nap." SuperEgo said. "What was not shown there...was that was actually the first time I died."

"Died? !" Rias said while a few others were shocked.

"I bled out." SuperEgo said. "Kinda like what I was about to do before you happened along me that fateful day."

"..." Rias looked away.

SuperEgo looked down. "I'll give you all the chance to bow out now. Some of you look like you've had enough."

Sona looked at some of the members of her peerage and saw how saddened they looked. "What prompts such a kind act?"

"Because some of you aren't really needed to be here and just because I don't have any hope left anymore...doesn't mean I don't still feel guilt." SuperEgo said.

"Very well...Ruruko, Reya, Momo, Bennia, Saji you may leave if you wish." Sona said.

"You can if you want as well Asia, Gasper, Koneko and you too Ravel." Rias said.

Yukari turned her head to Kenshin's peerage. "We aren't going anywhere." Evangeline said with the rest of them nodding. "I know what he went through, I went through it too, but he helped me move past some of my shit. I'm going to pay him back." Evangeline said crossing her arms and looking away.

"Really? Why do I feel like it's more than that." SuperEgo chided.

"? !" Evangeline glared at him with a very faint blush.

"I'm not leaving either." Saji said with the rest of Sona's peerage. "You need to have more faith in your friends."

"I suppose, but other than you and Sona and to a lesser extent Tsubaki. I barely know the rest of Sona's peerage. They can so easily call me friend?" SuperEgo asked.

"It's because...you've always been such a nice person." Ruruko said.

"The kind of person that is easy to get along with." Momo said with Reya nodding.

"I think Boss Lust Dragon's a good person, no matter what this world says." Bennia said.

"Onii-Sama, you've always been such a good person, why can't you see that for yourself?" Asia asked wiping her eyes, prompting Issei to come over and comfort her.

"It's because of Kenshin-Senpai's help as well as everyone else's, that I got Valerie back." Gasper said as Valerie embraced him with one arm. "I'll always be grateful."

"I won't let Senpai walk out of my life without a fight." Koneko said clenching her fists.

"Though...we started off on the wrong foot, I'm really glad I met you Kenshin-Sama." Ravel said with a timid smile.

"..." SuperEgo turned around. "Time for the next memory. This one's...sort of a happy one."

"!" Issei and Rias noticed SuperEgo turn his head. A bit of a smile stretching across his face as they disappeared.

"You're not actually going along with this, are you Super?" ID said.

"..." SuperEgo let out a sigh. "I'm just testing their resolve."

"Well OK." ID said with a shrug. "I'm guessing you're satisfied with it so far."

"..." SuperEgo said nothing.

The group appeared next to an ancient looking building. "This is..." Hikari said.

"What is it Hikari?" Azazel asked.

"This is the Welsh Magic Academy." Hikari said. "Yukari, how old is Kenshin in this memory?"

"Judging by how I look right now. I'd say he's still ten." Yukari said.

"Everyone...I think we might be getting through to him." Issei said.

"Hm? Well that's good news but why?" Sona asked.

"Just before we disappeared to come here, that SuperEgo guy turned his head a bit. I think Issei and I were the only ones that noticed it, but he was smiling a bit." Rias said.

"Really? The SuperEgo is meant to guilt trip the ID and Ego whenever they do something bad as according to the mind's ideal self...Kenshin's Super Ego must have been working overtime all this time then." Azazel said

"Why's that?" Sairaorg said.

"Because..." Hikari let out a sigh. "His father, Ryuushin was like a hero to him...and Kenshin wanted to be like him."

"..." A wave of realization washed over everyone as they realized what this meant. "If Kenshin's ideal self is to be a hero...and if he considers himself to be a monster...then..." Sairaorg said, voicing everyone's opinion.

"Yes..." Hikari looked away in misery. "The...amount of guilt he's living under. It must be unbearable."

"Yet he still bears it." Granberia said with her eyes closed.

"..." Yukari bowed her head, clenching her fists.

"Yukari-San?" Asia said.

"A...All this time...and...I never once realized it..." Yukari growled in frustration. Her fist laid into the wall.

The door of the building opens, beginning the flashback and a short girl with dark red hair walked out. She wore a short sleeved black shirt with a matching pair of shorts. She had her hair done up in a single tail which hung slightly past her neck. She looked shyly at the crowd in front of her.

"Well Negi introduce yourself." Magus says, a dark skinned man wearing mage robes standing next to her.

"U-Um right." The girl said. "M-My name is N-Negi Springfield I-I'm training to become a Magister Magi."

Ryuushin and Past Hikari's eyes soften. "Just like her father." They thought

"A Magister Magi?" Past Miyuki questioned curiously. "What's that?"

"It's Latin for Master Mage Miyuki." Past Yukari said. "Question is why are you?"

Negi bowed her head in embarrassment. "I-I want to find my father. A lot of people say that he's dead...but I don't believe them."

"That's cause he's not." Ryuushin said. "He's just ridiculously hard to find."

"Yeah." Past Hikari says walking to Negi. "I'm Hikari Tsuki. Nice to meet you."

"Y-Yes." Negi said shyly.

Ryuushin walked up to her. "By the way I'm Ryuushin Kuroshi. My wife and I here were actually friends of your dad's. If you want to know about him ask us."

"O-OK." Negi says.

"Hey Kenshin-nii aren't you going to introduce yourself first?" Past Yukari said turning to him. "Hello? Earth to Kenshin. Yukari speaking." She said waving her hand in front of his face.

"Niichan are you alright?" Miyuki asks.

Kenshin was staring at Negi. "What is this feeling? I-I don't get it..." He thought. "I don't even know her, but I want to be around her."

"Well while my brother's off in la la land I'll introduce myself." Past Yukari said. "I'm Yukari, nice to meet you."

"And I'm Miyuki!" Said girl shouts cheerfully extending her hand. "Our last names are just our parents two last names together."

"U-Um." Negi says blushing at the girls forwardness. "P-Pleased to meet you."

"Ken-Chan are you alright?" Hikari asks. "You're awfully red."

Kenshin shakes his head rapidly. "I-I'm fine." He makes his way over to the girl. "M-My name is Kenshin...N-Nice to meet you Negi-Chan."

Ryuushin blinks at Kenshin's sudden nervousness and whispers to Hikari. "Hey dear...do you think something's up with Kenshin?"

"Hm...you don't think..." Past Hikari trailed off.

"Negi-Chan? What's that mean?" Negi asks.

"D'oh. I forget we aren't in Japan anymore. It's just an endearing term it means I like you." Kenshin slaps a hand over his mouth. "You stupid stupid boy!" "Now she's going to think you a freakin' weirdo!" He thought.

"R-Really...u-um...I-I like you too...K-Kenshin." Negi shyly says.

Past Yukari blinks. "Are those two...?"

"U-Uh..." Kenshin trails off nervously. "You said you were training to be a Magister Magi right?"

"Th-That's right." Negi says.

"Well I-I could give you a hand. I-I mean you can't make it all by yourself." Kenshin says.

Miyuki giggles. "Jeez Niichan why don't you just kiss her and get it over with!"

Kenshin blushes. "Shaddap Miyuki! It's not like that! I'm just helping her because she's in a position I was in not too long ago!"

"Huh?" Negi says. "What do you mean?"

"Well apparently we're staying here...so I'll explain later." Kenshin says.

"O-OK." Negi says.

"Alright Alright. Negi do you mind going back inside I need to get their living arrangements in order." Magus says.

"O-OK." "Bye everyone."

"See ya." The five of them say.

As the memory sped forward Issei seemed to chuckle. "I think Kenshin was pretty lovestruck when he met her."

"M...Mmmrrnn..." Issei turned to see most of the girls interested in Kenshin wearing jealous expressions.

"Eheheheheh..." Issei chuckled warily.

The memory stopped and resumed at night. Yukari, Miyuki and Negi were all laying in beds while Kenshin laid on the floor. Everyone was laid down and sleeping except for Kenshin who was having his usual bout of insomnia. "Arika you were proven wrong. I still can't sleep for shit."

"Can't always be right." Arika says.

Kenshin suddenly heard a light whimpering followed by. "S-Someone...p-please help..."

Kenshin blinks and gets up walking over to Negi's bed. "She's shaking." He thought "That attack must have really gotten to her."

"Comfort her." Arika says.

Kenshin nods and lifts up the blanket climbing into the bed. He puts his mouth next to her ear whispering. "Just relax Negi." "It's all going to be alright from now on."

"P-Please...don't leave." Negi says in her sleep.

Kenshin wraps his arms around her pulling her in close. "I won't...just relax."

Negi's shaking stops as her own arms wrap around him. Kenshin sighs and falls asleep. "She...seems so vulnerable. Yet making sure she's happy...calms me." Kenshin closed his eyes falling into a peaceful slumber.

The memory ended, however instead of SuperEgo waiting for him, the ID was instead. "Oh great, this guy." Issei said rolling his eyes.

"Now that's just rude." ID said with a nonchalant shrug. "That's said, I take it some of you liked that one? Yeah, kinda just gives the warm and fuzzies."

"Which obviously means the next few won't be, right?" Yukari asked.

"Careful, she's learning." ID said snapping his fingers. "They will play back to back, so see you all later."

The group found themselves on a hill overlooking a destroyed base. "Wait...are those the leaders of Rikudou?" Rossweisse said.

"They have a lot of guys behind them. Hey, wait...where's Kenshin?" Tsubaki said.

"Hey, you're right, he's not here." Kiba said.

"Something's coming through the crowd..." Koneko said pointing to their left.

"I said get the hell out of my way!" A familiar voice shouted in anger.

"Kenshin, just hol-" One of the men was slugged out of the crowd landing in front of the leaders.

"Ah, Sesshoumaru, Report." Vesper said.

"You know damn well what I have to report Vesper!" An angry twelve year old Kenshin said before rushing Rantou and punching him in the stomach, making the man kneel. "What the fuck was that? ! This job was your fucking idea old man! I'm glad I told my sister to stay home!"

"Kenshin, just rel-"

"Out with it you old bastard! Why the fuck was I killing kids in there? !" Kenshin shouted.

"Because they were a part of the enemy organization." Rantou said.

"Oh bullshit! Some of them were even younger than me!" Kenshin said.

"I'm sorry, but it's true Kenshin." Sin said closing his eyes.

"Fucking hell if it is! I demand to see Vesper's logs!" Kenshin said throwing his arm out in frustration. "There's no way they chose that!"

"...They attacked you didn't they?"

"? !" Kenshin paused, looking back up at Rantou.

"...Kid...we don't like it anymore than you do." Rantou said. "But the shadow organizations we combat don't discriminate...they take all the orphans from the war, and the aftereffects caused by it. Young and old alike and train them to be their puppets...the younger the better...as they say and they are branded with control seals to strip away rebellious thoughts."

"...Krrhh..." Kenshin growled. "Is that why you took me in then...?"

Everyone viewing the memory could hear the broken frustration and sadness in Kenshin's voice. Rantou narrowed his eyes solemnly. "I wish I could say...that wasn't at least part of the reason." He said.

"Tch!" Kenshin pulled his fist out of Rantou's stomach and turned away. "D...Don't call me again for the rest of the month. I will not answer. I don't care what you do." He pulled out a communicator device and hit the button on the top. "Welsh Magic Academy." He spoke into it before disappearing.

Despite Kenshin leaving the memory continued. "Rantou...this is too cruel..." Daniel said. "Couldn't we just hide him without staining his conscience like this?"

"Yes...I agree, he may bear a massive grudge, but he's made it clear numerous times. He only hates the powers that be." Scott said. "I...I don't like the feeling of making a child commit such acts to earn his anonymity..."

"Vesper...honestly...I don't like it either..." Sin said with a morose look.

"...Hmn...It's time we might as well accept what he is...or rather will become." Vesper said with a saddened sigh. "And how cowardly we are for not doing the jobs he does ourselves."

"Yes..." Rantou said. "Vesper...every week...give Leader Sesshoumaru therapy sessions...and...haa...he is allowed to go on recreation trips with everyone to the fullest extent." Rantou said. "Have him take age up pills to the fullest effect."

"Rantou...are you...?" Daniel said. "Are you saying we should...?

"He's not a child...at...at least...not mentally anyway..." Rantou said closing his eyes. "I've caught him drinking from our stores numerous times. Saying..that it helps numb it all away."

"Hmn..." Daniel smiled sadly. "If that's the case, I'll give him a healthier alternative." He said exhaling smoke from his blunt.

"OK..." Rantou said. "...Haaa..." He sighed. "...I wish...we never asked him to join us...I never thought it'd be this bad. I wish we just hid him from the world, without him ever knowing."

The memory advanced forward by quite a few years. The group found themselves at the shore of a large body of water. At the shore line was Kenshin, staring at a body. "! !" Hikari let out a gasp...tears flowing from her eyes.

"Hikari?" Azazel said.

"Th-This is..." Hikari said.

"...!" Azazel looked out, noticing the body before embracing Hikari tightly.

"..." Yukari and Miyuki both stared at the scene solemnly.

"W-What is it?" Issei said seeing the body, but unable to identify it. Kenshin finally spoke

"Dad..." He says simply his eyes barely open as he absorbed the soulless, dead look on his father's face. "I...I realized it too late...at the start...I wanted...to kill you earnestly thinking you were trying to hurt or kill us...I...I was...such a foolish bastard...you were being controlled."

He recalled what he had heard his father say before he died. At the time he thought it was the false Shinigami possessing, but the way it was said and the smile on his face told him clearly...that it was his father.

"Sorry Kenshin...I won't be back this time."

Just those words made Kenshin think back to when he was younger.

Flashback

A five year old Kenshin ran up to Ryuushin who was getting dressed for another job.

"Dad! Dad!" Kenshin says.

"Hm?" Ryuushin looked down and smiled at him. "What is it Kenshin?"

"Can you show me how to do the Katensho? !" Kenshin asks excitedly.

Ryuushin opened his mouth to say something when Nagi's voice called out to him. "Ah! Coming Nagi just give me a minute!"

Kenshin looked up curiously at him. Ryuushin crouched down and pet Kenshin on the head smiling. "I can't right now Kenshin."

"Awww! Please!" Kenshin says.

Ryuushin chuckled softly and jabbed his fingers softly onto Kenshin's forehead. "I'm sorry I keep leaving you alone like this with Aunt Arika or Uncle Eishun, but I promise I'll be back soon OK."

Kenshin hung his head slightly. "OK..."

Ryuushin smiled and stood up. "I will be back OK."

"Yeah." Kenshin says averting his eyes, depressed.

He didn't notice Ryuushin doing the same as he turned away.

Flashback End

Kenshin stood in front of his father. "He always said that...he always promised...he would come back..." He thought.

"Sorry Kenshin...I won't be back this time."

It began raining heavily as Kenshin heard footsteps coming closer to him. He turned his head his eyes still barely open to find Hikari, Miyuki, Yukari and Negi.

Slowly a red liquid welled up in both his eyes and trickled down his cheeks as his body began swaying. Past Hikari's eyes widened slightly. "Tears of blood?"

"..." Kenshin's eyes slid shut as he fell forward landing to the left of Ryuushin.

The memory ended and they reappeared with ID standing with his back turned to them. "Hope you're getting something out of this." ID said. "Because I really don't want you to be here."

"Kenshin..." Yukari said.

"...You think this isn't affecting me as well, dredging all the skeletons out of my closet?"

"!" Everyone watched as a pair of dragon wings shot out of the being's back, it took them a moment to realize that it was neither the SuperEgo or ID any longer, but the Ego, or rather Kenshin himself.

"Kenshin..."

"Stay back." Kenshin said as some of them tried to approach him.

"Kenshin...please." Rias said. "Let us help you."

"I can't." Kenshin said shaking his head.

"Why is that?" Azazel said.

"Because if I do, if I let myself get too close...you're as good as doomed." Kenshin said, pausing to calm himself in the middle of his statement. He turned to them with a soulless, miserable look. "It doesn't matter who you are...that's the curse I'm shackled with."

"What's your explanation for your immediate family then?" Gabriel asked.

"I stayed away from them most of the time so that my problems would not trouble them. Dad was dying, not that I knew at the time. Miyuki was hardly trained, Mom never has fully recovered from childbirth and Yukari...well she's already died twice now." Kenshin said. "When we got to Wales...I had to practice smiling in the mirror...it took me forever, but I did finally manage to fake it good enough to where everyone believed it."

"..." Everyone watched as it began to rain

"Just give up on me...I did." Kenshin said turning back around. "A long time ago...I gave up hope of ever finding peace for myself...yet...I...still make the same mistake."

"...If you lost hope so long ago...why did you help everyone?" Issei said.

"...Because no one but me deserves to feel helpless." Kenshin said. "Issei, everything I've ever tried to do in life has been one fuck up after another, or will go to shit eventually...ever since that day several years back...I've been stuck wondering...why am I here? What am I even doing? Is it even...a good thing that I'm alive? Everything..I've ever done...has ended up hurting those I love eventually. They'll be the ones to deal with the consequences of my actions. Everything bad that happens to them...it...it's my fault. Everything I've done...It's going to affect everyone in a negative way! Yet I keep making the same mistake of falling in-!"

"That's enough!" Rias ran up to Kenshin and turned him around, seeing the tears in their eyes. "You don't deserve to feel like this either Kenshin! No one deserves to feel this miserable!"

"And why's that?" Kenshin asked trying to hold himself together. "Ialda's haunted by the Resonance, well...I am haunted by something similar. A myriad of voices all asking the same damn question...Why? Why did we deserve to die? I never have an answer for them...because for almost all of them...they didn't..."

"Kenshin, you are piling too much on yourself." Evangeline said closing her eyes. "You told me you didn't give a damn about what people thought of you, that they call you a monster, that you are one of their own creation. What happened to that?"

"I care about what it could do to those I care about." Kenshin said.

"That right there." Issei said pointing at him. "Kenshin..if you truly didn't have any hope...you wouldn't care...at all. Not about yourself, not about anything that happens to anyone around you. You...You'd just want to fade away and die."

"..." The rain began letting up.

"Senpai, aren't you afraid of being alone?" Gasper said. "You told me before...that if you were left completely alone, that it meant you failed to protect what meant the most to you."

"..." Kenshin remained silent.

"Instead of bogging yourself down with the thoughts of those who opposed you and fell to you against their will...why not fight on in their memory?" Granberia asked. "Make their deaths mean something."

"Kenshin, did you forget already that you've already made your old dream come true?" Alice asked. "Makai already views you as a hero."

"Yeah! So does the Underworld! Forget what those old fogies on the council say!" Serafall said pumping her fist in the air.

"Kid, I can see where you got it in your head that you can't be happy, but that just isn't true. As long as ya got something that makes you feel good, hold on to it. I mean do you have any idea how I felt after the war? Looking on the reports of the deaths of my people...my friends?" Azazel asked. "It's part of the reason I threw myself into my research."

"...And if it gets ripped away from me...like so much already has?" Kenshin asked.

"We aren't going anywhere."

"!" Kenshin looked back down at Rias.

"I promise, we aren't going anywhere." Rias said smiling up at him. "That's what you're most worried about, right?"

"Did you forget that we've been getting stronger right along side you?" Issei said with a grin. "You really think someone's gonna take us out so easily?"

"..." Kenshin closed his eyes.

"How could I ever think about leaving my dear Kenshin-kun, ufufufu~" Akeno giggled.

"Senpai has done so much for us." Koneko said.

"Yeah, it'd be a shame if we didn't help him in his hour of need." Ravel said

"You threw your support wholeheartedly behind my dream...when you find yours, I'll be there." Sona said.

"Come on Kenshin-Chan, you can't go through life being miserable all the time." Alma said with a winking smile. "There has to be some joy and pleasure to balance it all out."

"A person's pain is where their story lies." Evangeline said. "But...I'm tired of reading this tale. Come on Kenshin, it's time to move on."

"How am I to have a child if you're gone?" Xenovia said with a smile.

"You do remember that you and Issei saved my people right? I still have yet to pay either of you back for that." Erubetie said.

"You're not getting out of a rematch with me that easily." Sairaorg said punching his hand upward with a grin.

"We're here for you...just...let us help."

The water below glew brightly, blinding everyone. When it died down everyone watched as if in another memory. Kenshin stood in front what looked to be his younger self. "I'm sick of feeling this way...aren't you?" The younger Kenshin asked.

"For so long now...I had learned to roll with the punches...that eventually there would be an end to all of this." Kenshin said looking at his younger self. "But...I see now...I've taken too much...my legs feel like they're about to give out."

"Then are we ready?" The younger Kenshin asked.

"Hmn...I am if you are." Kenshin said extending his hand toward his younger self.

The younger Kenshin reached forward and grabbed his hand for a moment. "It's time. Goodbye." He said as he turned and walked away.

"Goodbye." Kenshin said as he disappeared.

Everyone appeared in front of the Kuoh Academy building, the sun was shining down on them, Kenshin looked up at it, shading his eyes. "Hmn...it's been awhile since I've seen you." He said.

"Kenshin." Yukari said.

"..." Kenshin shrugged. "You know...for those long four years...I cried out for help...and nobody came...so I just stopped asking. I felt if nobody would help me...then I'd help myself..and keep helping myself until it didn't work anymore...then I figured that was because I was dead."

Everyone stared at him. Kenshin turned to them, a small smile on his face. "However...if you're all this damn insistent on holding your hands out to me...then...I guess you win. I'm still...a little paranoid about what's going to happen next, with Negi...with Megalo...but...if you're going to be by my side. Then I feel like I can have some measure of hope while I prepare for it."

"Hahaha! I told you I'd prove you wrong!" Issei laughed, slapping him on the back.

"Yeah yeah...now get out of here, I think we've been been cleaning out my closet long enough." Kenshin said

(Break)

The next day.

"Are you sure about this?" Somo asked Kenshin as they stood in the bridge of the Paru-Sama.

"That's the only place she'd be...where it began." Kenshin said.

"Yeah, but still...going back to Megalomesembria to fight?" Somo said.

"I don't have a choice I'm afraid. I'm the only one that can stop her." Kenshin said. "Besides...I'm...tired of running from my past." He said letting out a sigh. "How long will it take?"

"Well, stopping for breaks so that boy can initiate his plan...it should take a two to four days." Somo said.

"I see." Kenshin nodded. "Alright, I'll leave the particulars to you."

He left the bridge saying he'd take a nap. On the way he bumped into Rias. He wasn't sure why, but just the sight of her made his face go red. "O-Oh, hey Rias." Kenshin greeted.

"Hello." Rias said. "What's going on?"

"Oh nothing, I was just telling Somo where we were going." Kenshin said. "He has to chart the course after all." Kenshin said with a smile.

"I see." Rias nodded. "Um Kenshin, with all the things that happened last night. I forgot to ask you something important."

"What is it?" Kenshin asked.

"That seal under your chin. I want it gone." Rias said with a stern look.

"?" Kenshin blinked. "The seal under my...oh..." Kenshin closed his eyes and moved his left hand under his chin and extended it outward. A flame spear came out and Kenshin cast it away. "There was only one, I promise you on my life and my eternal love." He said moving the seal back to it's original location. "Sorry, it was a Rikudou protocol."

"...I said I."

"It has other things inside it." Kenshin said. "For example." He moved his hand over again and extended his hand forward. It held a rose. "For you my dear, beautiful Rias." Kenshin said with a smile.

"!" Rias blushed a bit and smiled. "Alright, I believe you." She said accepting the rose.

"It also houses some of my smokes." Kenshin said taking one out and lighting up.

"..." Rias stared at him. "Uh hey Kenshin..this might sound like an odd request, but...sometime could we...enjoy one of those together?"

"?" Kenshin stared at Rias oddly. "You...wanna get...high with me?"

"Well...it's something you enjoy...I want to enjoy it with you." Rias said.

"Uhh...O-OK...j-just give me a chance to sort it out. I've been doing this for years so I have to find something that won't completely toast you right away." Kenshin said waving her off with a blush.

"Hm?" Rias tilted her head seeing this, having been seeing it since they ran into each other. "Kenshin, are you OK?"

"Huh? O-Oh! Yeah, I'm alright, I'm just tired and could use a nap." Kenshin said.

"Need a cuddle partner?" Rias asked with a smile.

"I-I'm good." Kenshin said. "You probably have some training to do. I wouldn't want to get in the way."

"Hmm..." Rias let out a sigh. "Well, OK. If you need anything let me know."

"OK." Kenshin said before kissing her on the cheek and walking away.

Rias went to the resort where everyone was training. Rias opened a communication circle with Yukari. "Um, Yukari, could you gather everyone that has feelings for Kenshin to where I am?"

"What's up?" Yukari asked.

"I'll explain when you get here." Rias said.

Moments later, everyone was gathered. "What's up Rias?" Akeno asked.

"Nothing, it's just Kenshin seems off." Rias said.

"How off is off?" Miyuki asked.

"Well...I ran into him...and he was blushing and kind of nervous the entire time we talked." Rias said.

"...You pulled me away from a meal for this?" Alice said with a disinterested tone.

"Wh-What?" Rias said.

"You should know by now that means he's going through a heat cycle." Tamamo said with a laugh.

"Yeah, but...why didn't he just ask Rias to handle it...I mean she was right there." Akeno said. "Though I can't exactly say I'm unhappy he didn't." Akeno said licking her lips.

"He must not think it's the right time, but...I think this might be his limit." Yukari said. "Twelve...so he might need this."

"A chance to be with Senpai." Koneko said bowing her head a bit with a blush.

"A chance to practice babymaking." Xenovia said holding some condoms between her fingers.

"Well...I am a little hungry." Alma winked.

"Why are you here?" Sona said in disinterest.

"Silly." Alma said with a giggle. "A succubus doesn't have to have feelings for the one she feeds off...but that said, I do like Kenshin-Chan."

"Um...I don't think I could handle that...it was amazing the first time, but I could barely handle him." Ravel said with a blush. "If being in heat is like what I've heard...he'd break me."

"Ravel?" Rias said with a surprised look. "You've...done it with Kenshin?"

"I-It was after I was rescued from the Khaos Brigade." Ravel said with a blushing smile. "We went on a date...and I just...went for it you know?"

"Hmhm, I see. Well good for you for acting on your desires instead of fighting them you little Tsundere Phoenix." Rias giggled making Ravel glare at her..

"So...it seems everyone's eager to have a go at Kenshin." Yukari said. "Well, almost everyone." She shrugged. "I'm out. I gotta keep watch on Negi's condition."

"Hmn...same here." Miyuki sighed. "I'll get mine some other time." She and Yukari both walked away.

"Well..." Rossweisse said as she held straws out in her fist. "Might as well settle this the old fashioned way.

"Fine." Rias said as she drew her straw. "...Ugh.." She grunted in annoyance, seeing a long straw.

That night.

Kenshin was laying in his room in the resort. "Ugh...the fucking cycle's extended because I'm in here and it started out there, this was a bad idea."

"Oh? I think it was a great idea."

"Huh?" Kenshin looked toward the doorway, only to see Evangeline, in her Yukihime form of course, wearing only a white button up shirt that cut off at the barest of thigh length, only two buttons actually fastened baring a lot of the Yukihime form's bust. "E-Evangeline...?" He said.

"Hmhm...you seem embarrassed." Evangeline said stepping forward.

"Wh-What are you doing here?" Kenshin asked.

"Well I know what's happening to you right now for one." Evangeline said. "Two, I won the opportunity to come and have a little fun tonight." She said with a small, lascivious smile.

"Won?" Kenshin said. "What did you draw straws or something?"

"Yeah...actually." Evangeline said before reaching over and cupping his cheek with her left hand. "Kenshin...you've got a group of willing women who would gladly take care of your needs, why were you so nervous about this?" Evangeline said as her fingers grazed along Kenshin's jawline, before her index finger was gently pressed against his lips.

"W-Well, after what happened last night. I just didn't think it was the best time...and with what's happening with..." Kenshin was silenced as Evangeline pressed her finger a bit harder against his lips, even letting it slip inside his mouth.

"Don't worry about Negi. We've taken care of this before. I know you can't help it, but she's in good hands." Evangeline said. "Now..." She moved forward, straddling Kenshin. "I can't say that this is a bad idea. I am one of the more experienced ones at this and to boot, we've done this before." She said kissing the corner of his lips. "Though not exactly in this form I'm in. The other form, which was basically me shaping myself as I thought I would look as a grown woman, instead of growing naturally."

"Haa..." Kenshin let out a shuddering sigh as Evangeline's fingers grazed his ears.

"You know, when I first tried those candies, I was surprised at how I looked, not at all what I expected. When Negi saw it, she said I looked amazing, but what do you think?" Evangeline said.

"Well..." Kenshin said before Evangeline kissed him full on the lips.

"Or rather...show me." Evangeline said as their lips met again, her hands cupping Kenshin's head from behind, fingers gently massaging his ears.

"Mmmhhh..." Kenshin moaned into her, his eyes rolling upward before they closed. He propped himself up to keep himself from falling back and wrapped an arm around her, positioning himself against the headboard of the bed. He felt the shinso vampire's chest rubbing against his, her body rocking against him. "Agh..." He let out a short gasp as he felt something nick his bottom lip, the taste of his blood entering his mouth.

"Mmmmhh~" Evangeline moaned in delight as the taste of Kenshin's blood hit her tongue.

"Damn, she sure is excited..." Kenshin thought.

Evangeline's hands left his head and slipped under Kenshin's shirt, going behind him and digging her nails gently into his back. Her lower body grinding against his, feeling the bulge rub against her thong clad womanhood.

The kiss finally broke when Evangeline pulled Kenshin's shirt off. They were both panting as Kenshin's lip wound healed. "You're...really into this huh?" Kenshin asked.

"Hmn." Evangeline winked, her own smile widening. "Go ahead then...and don't hold back either...you know I can take it."

"Oh I know...but I think I'll accept your offering." Kenshin said planting his lips over hers, his hand going under her shirt.

"Mmmh...Evangeline moaned into his mouth as he played with her left breast. "Oooh...his hand is so warm." She thought.
