Chapter 2: Pilot Pt. 2

"Oh mercy! His parents are in there!" Fixit exclaimed. But then he realized he had no clue on what he was hearing. "What are parents?" He asked. "Um, they're older members of this planet's dominant species that share genetic material with the younger member and assist in the rearing education of that member." Bumblebee explained. "Oh. Why didn't you just say that?" Fixit asked to Russell. "He wouldn't have been able to say it like that. He's just a kid." Arcee said.

"Mom! Dad!" Russell cried, rushing towards the scrapyard. But Bumblebee grabbed him. "You're not going anywhere near that Chompazoid! It's too dangerous." He said. "Let me go! My parents need me!" Russell exclaimed as he struggled. "Are humans always so stubborn?" Gears asked. "Fortunately. And that made our last job even more dangerous." Arcee said. "You know what else might be dangerous? That." Sideswipe said, gesturing to Grimlock standing up on the wreckage. Grimlock surprisingly transformed into a giant green T-Rex and gave a loud roar.

The Autobots prepared to fight as Grimlock stepped down to them. "A Dinobot. Just what we need." Gears groaned. Russell and Fixit tried to hide behind each other. "They're civilians. Not a threat." Bumblebee said. "I'm no civilian!" Gears exclaimed. "I can't tell if he feels threatened." Sideswipe said. Just then, Grimlock picked up Underbite's scent and took off into the forest. "Those 2 can draw all kinds of attention." Bumblebee said. "And that can cause problems for us." Arcee said. "Everyone, stay here." Bumblebee ordered. "Stay here?! Are you scrudding me?!" Gears exclaimed. "Sir, regulations clearly state that multiple officers-" Strongarm tried to say. "No. You're both too inexperienced. We're handling this alone." Bumblebee said. "As we should've been doing from the start." Arcee said before they took off.

"This is all your fault." Gears said, glaring at Strongarm and Sideswipe. Just then, there was a groaning sound. Strongarm and Gears drew their blasters. "Come out with your hands up!" Strongarm ordered. A white female Autobot walked out from the trees with her hands up. Sideswipe gasped. "Wait! Hold your fire! She's not a threat!" He exclaimed. "You know her?" Strongarm asked. "Yeah. She's my sister." Sideswipe said. "Name's Mirage. Nice to meet you." The Autobot, Mirage, introduced. "We don't care. You're under arrest." Gears said. "Leave her alone! She's not a criminal!" Sideswipe exclaimed. "Is that so? Then why was she locked up on the Alchemor?" Gear asked tauntingly. "Allow me to access the manifest." Fixit said. "No need. I was to be a trainee for a Decepticon crime lord. My first day, I turned myself in with information in exchange for a light sentence." Mirage explained. "Oh yeah. I heard about you." Strongarm said. "Who cares! A criminal is still a criminal. And you're going back to stasis." Gears said. "You are not touching her!" Sideswipe exclaimed. "It's alright, Sideswipe. He's not the first cop to trash-talk me." Mirage said. "Now can we focus on the fact that Underbite and a Dinobot are about to draw unwanted attention to themselves?" Strongarm asked. "Grimlock and Underbite? They're free? Where'd they go?" Mirage asked. "They're heading for my dad's scrapyard!" Russell exclaimed with worry. "Well, no way am I missing a good smack down." Mirage said, taking off. "Hey! We're supposed to stay put!" Sideswipe called. "Well, I don't care what anyone says! Those are my parents!" Russell exclaimed before following. "The human's on the move. We should go keep an eye on him." Strongarm said. "You really wanna disobey an order from the lieutenants? That's breaking the rules, you know." Gears said. "I could care less what you have to say!" Strongarm exclaimed, shoving past Gears. "Oh, you are so gonna get fired." Gears said as he followed.

Sideswipe felt unsure. "Aren't you going too?" Fixit asked. "I…I don't know. I'm not sure if this is even my fight." Sideswipe said. "Oh, I hear you. Loud and fear *glitch* sneer *glitch* clear!" Fixit said, glitching again. "I'm not a fighter either. I'm a lover. Now let's see if old Fixit can find something to help out with these fugitives. Maybe some weapons, gear." He said as he excavated the crash for anything still active. "I can tell we're gonna be friends, Sideswipe. Do you have a nickname? No, no, no. Don't tell me. Let me guess. Scooter? Rumble-Jack. Phil! Mine is M.C. It's actually a long, long story." But then he noticed that Sideswipe was gone. "Sideswipe? Hello?"

Meanwhile, the familiar human was examining the scorch marks on the ground from the Alchemor's trail. "Scorches are still warm. The crash was just recent." He said. Suddenly, he heard something coming. He drew a pistol and hid behind a tree as he saw Underbite pass by. "Must be a Con. He's heading for the local scrapyard. And odds are the Autobots are following him." He said.

Meanwhile, Denny and Katie, having received their Billy the Breakfast Beaver figurines, were arranging them in the scrapyard while listening to music. Unfortunately, they couldn't hear Underbite driving towards them. Underbite transformed and prepared to leap into action. But then Grimlock showed up and bashed into him. "We got a dance to finish, Scrud!" Grimlock exclaimed. He attacked Underbite and they began to tumble through the scrapyard. But Underbite managed to push him off. "You're from the prison ship too. I'm not gonna eat the whole planet. Just the crunchy parts. So, why are you bothering me?" He asked. "I like to pick on things my own size. And just because we rolled here together, doesn't make us travel buds." Grimlock said. He swung his tail at Underbite, but he managed to catch it. Underbite ate a pinball machine and powered up again, chuckling evilly. "Even though we aren't buds, have a nice rest of your trip." He said before throwing Grimlock towards Denny and Katie, crashing behind them.

Bumblebee and Arcee were waiting nearby for an opening. "Wait for an opening." Bumblebee whispered. "Copy that." Arcee whispered. Suddenly, Mirage leapt out in front of them. "Hey! Who are you?!" Bumblebee asked. "Name's Mirage. And this one's mine." Mirage said, unveiling wrist-blades and charging towards Underbite. "Hey! Get back here!" Arcee exclaimed. But then Russell ran past them. "Mom! Dad!" He cried. "We'll get the human clear and then we can take down the fugitive, Lieutenants!" Strongarm exclaimed excitedly as she showed up after. "STRONGARM!" Bumblebee exclaimed. "Out of my way! I've got a job to do here!" Gears exclaimed, shoving past Arcee. "GEARS!" Arcee exclaimed. And before they knew it, Sideswipe drove into the party too. "Scrap." Bumblebee groaned. "We never had this much trouble when Optimus was in charge." Arcee said.

As Grimlock started to recover, Underbite lunged for him. But Grimlock managed to dodge the attack, making Underbite land on the beaver figurines. And then he leapt on top of the Chompazoid. "Guess Chompazoids aren't so tough." He said. "Or Dinobots aren't so smart!" Underbite exclaimed, biting Grimlock's arm, causing him to yell in pain. Then Underbite tossed Grimlock towards Russell and the Autobots. As Grimlock landed, he rolled towards Russell. But Sideswipe picked up the kid and drove out of Grimlock's way. "Thanks." Russell said as he watched Underbite approach the beaver figures. "No problem. Let's find your parents." Sideswipe said.

Underbite started sniffing the beaver figures. "Ooh! Cute!" He exclaimed happily, wagging his tail. He picked up a mouthful and ate them in one bite, powering up again. But then he noticed that he missed one. He picked it up and prepared to eat it. "Let's do this!" Strongarm exclaimed. "Fire at will!" Gears exclaimed. "Strongarm, Gears, no!" Bumblebee exclaimed. "Hold your fire!" Arcee exclaimed. But Strongarm and Gears fired their blasters, shattering the beaver figure. And boy, Underbite was mad. "Go, go, go!" Bumblebee exclaimed. He, Arcee, Strongarm and Gears started running as Underbite started chasing them.

Meanwhile, Sideswipe and Russell were still driving through the scrapyard, looking for Denny and Katie. "There!" Russell exclaimed, pointing towards the diner. Denny and Katie were setting up the one beaver figure inside and dusting it off. Sideswipe stopped in front of the diner and let Russell out. "Mom! Dad!" Russell cried as he entered the diner. "Rusty!" Denny greeted. "Did you find the meteor?" Katie asked. "No. I found…them." Russell said, pointing to Bumblebee, Arcee, Strongarm and Gears being chased by Underbite, and heading right towards them. Denny and Katie were shocked from what they were seeing. "Now hold the…" Denny tried to say. "Are those…robots?" Katie asked. Sideswipe drove in front and transformed. "Does this building have a back door? Because you're gonna need one before this is over." He said. Denny and Katie were still shocked. "Talking…robot…car." Denny said. "Weird." Katie said. "Uh-huh." Russell said.

Underbite continued to chase after, Bumblebee, Arcee, Strongarm and Gears. But then Grimlock leapt onto him from behind. "YOU…BIT…ME!" He shouted as he punched Underbite. "This is a disaster." Bumblebee said as he, Arcee, Strongarm and Gears regrouped with Sideswipe. "That's an understatement." Arcee said. "Why didn't you stay put like we told you?" Bumblebee asked in disappointment. "I am trained to serve and protect, not stay put." Strongarm said sternly. "Like I'd miss a chance to take down a Decepticon." Gears said. "I was unsure if I wanted to get involved, but then that mouthy Mini-Con changed my mind. I swear, my audio receptors were starting to melt." Sideswipe said. Just then, Mirage met up with them. "You think spending a couple of hours with him was enough to drive you crazy? Try spending a long time on that ship with him and his buddies. I could hear everything they talk about, even in stasis." She said. "And who are you?" Arcee asked. "She's nobody. Just another escapee." Gears said. But Bumblebee held up his hand, silencing him. "My name's Mirage, Sideswipe's sister. And yes, I'm a prisoner from the Alchemor too. But I'm not as bad as the others." Mirage said.

Bumblebee and Arcee didn't have time to argue as they walked over to the diner door. "Humans." Bumblebee said. "Denny." Denny said. "And Katie." Katie said. "Where's the safest place around here?" Bumblebee asked. "There are some caves down by the river." Denny said. "We go there sometimes to do a little fishing." Katie said. "Good. Take Russell there." Arcee said. "Strongarm, Gears, Sideswipe and Mirage, you too." Bumblebee said. "Are you kidding me?!" Gears exclaimed. "This is not up for debate, Gears. You've both disappointed us enough today." Arcee said. "Lieutenants, we wanna help. Teach us the way Optimus trained you." Strongarm said. "WE'RE NOT OPTIMUS!" Bumblebee shouted. "Too bad. Because, no offense, but we could use a Prime right about now." Sideswipe said. "I'd hate to say it, but he's right." Mirage said.

Meanwhile, Underbite managed to get Grimlock off of him and started ripping him like a weight. "Outstanding! I was hoping to work in a 1-rep max. But you're the one who's gonna FEEL THE BURN!" He exclaimed as he tossed Grimlock towards the diner. "Brace yourselves!" Bumblebee exclaimed. The Autobots took cover and the family embraced as Grimlock landed, rolled past the diner and crashed into a shed. Grimlock tried to get back up, but he fell unconscious. "Thundercruncher. Boltsmasher. Undefeated and still champion." Underbite boasted as he kissed his own biceps and flexed them. He started eating again and powered himself back up. "Oh, that's good. I'm saving the rest of you little darlings for dessert." He said, gesturing to the other Billy the Breakfast Beaver figurines in a trailer hooked to Denny's truck before spitting out a tire. He walked over to a car pile, pulled out one of the cars and started eating it. But then, his eyes caught Crown City. "A buffet! It's hard body heaven!" He exclaimed happily. He transformed and drove off towards the city.

Afterwards, as Denny, Katie and Russell started to come out, Strongarm and Gears checked on them. "You alright, human Denny and human Katie?" Strongarm asked. "It's just Denny." Denny said. "And just Katie." Katie said. "And yeah. Thank you." Denny said. "We owe you." Katie said. "Ugh! Look what that monster did to my stuff!" Denny exclaimed as he looked over Billy the Breakfast Beaver's head before sobbing. "I know, dear. I know." Katie said as she comforted her husband. "Is everyone okay?" Bumblebee asked. "We're fine, Lieutenant. Except maybe the fugitive." Strongarm said. "Watch it." Mirage said, feeling offended. "Not you. I meant the other fugitive." Strongarm said. Everyone looked over to Grimlock just as he quickly recovered and sprang back into action. "Round 2!" He exclaimed. But then he noticed that Underbite was gone and the place was wrecked. "What happened?" He asked. "Underbite tossed you like a lobball." Strongarm said. "Anyone get hurt?" Grimlock asked. "Nope." Strongarm said. "That's a first." Grimlock said in surprise. "It's strange that Underbite took off. There's still plenty of metal here" Sideswipe said. "Then why'd he take off?" Gears asked. "He's heading towards that city. Those skyscrapers." Bumblebee said. "If he eats that whole city, he'll never be stopped." Arcee said. "We should call the cops. The army." Russell said. "No. No more humans can become involved." Bumblebee said. "Too late for that." A familiar voice said. Everyone turned to see the familiar human come in with his motorcycle. "Long time no see, Autobots." The human said as he removed his helmet and revealed his face. Bumblebee and Arcee couldn't believe their optics. It was their old human friend, Jack Darby.

"Jack? Is it really you?" Arcee asked in disbelief as she knelt down in front of Jack, having aged after 3 years. "Who else would it be, partner?" Jack asked with a smile. Arcee started crying as she picked Jack up and gently hugged him as best as she could. "I missed you. So much." She whispered. "I know. I missed you too." Jack said. "It's good to see you, Jack." Bumblebee said as Arcee put Jack back down. "You too, Bee." Jack said. "You know this human?" Sideswipe asked. "He was part of our old team the last time we were on Earth." Bumblebee said. "Yeah. He was a good partner. And a good friend." Arcee said. "How'd you even know we were here?" Bumblebee asked. "Agent Fowler called me about the earthquake this morning. I figured it had to be something else. And here I am." Jack said. "Good thing you got here then, Jack. A Con's heading towards the city." Arcee said. "Let me guess. A giant purple tank?" Jack asked. "Yep." Bumblebee said. "All those buildings in Crown City, there are 10s of thousands of humans in them." Denny said. "Then Arcee and I will just have to stop him before he gets there." Bumblebee said. Arcee nodded in agreement. "Just let us transform, sir, and we'll come with." Strongarm said. "Yeah, I wanna come with on this too." Gears said. "Strongarm, Gears, you both need to understand. None of you are supposed to even be here! Optimus said this was a mission for me and Arcee." Bumblebee said. "Yes. We know the dangers of being a Transformer on Earth while you all don't." Arcee added. "Well, I want another shot at that muscle head." Grimlock said as he transformed and pounded his fist. "You can't let this criminal ride with you!" Strongarm exclaimed. "I'm not a criminal! At least I don't think I am." Grimlock said, having a case of amnesia. "I bet that's what they all say on the prison ship." Sideswipe whispered. "Probably. Yeah." Strongarm whispered.

"We're not letting-" Bumblebee tried to say. "I'm going. And if you don't like it, you can try to stop me." Grimlock dared. "If he's going, then so am I. I need the exercise." Mirage said. "And I'm coming too." Jack said. "Jack, no. You know how dangerous these missions get." Arcee said. "I know. And that's why I'm going. I live for this kind of danger now. Like it or not, you bots are stuck with me again." Jack said. "We're going too." Denny said as he and Katie rushed over to the truck. "Mom! Dad!" Russell exclaimed. "We know a short cut to the bridge." Katie said as she and Denny unhooked the trailer. "Lieutenants, if you're taking those 5…" Strongarm tried to say. "Fine. But no Cybertronian forms." Bumblebee said. "WHAT?! Why not?" Gears exclaimed. "There could be boats in that river, witnesses on the shore. We need to look like humans will accept." Bumblebee explained. "Yes. We need robots in disguise." Arcee said. "But I don't wanna! I like my Cybertronian look!" Gears complained. "Gears, it's either that or staying put." Bumblebee said. Gears wanted to argue, but sighed in defeat, accepting the choice. "Do you store any other vehicles here?" Bumblebee asked. Denny and Katie nod.

Denny and Katie led the Autobot team to their used car lot where there were hundreds of vehicles to choose from. "Find one. Hurry." Bumblebee said. Strongarm, Gears and Mirage hurried into the lot to each find a vehicle to scan. "Sideswipe?" Arcee asked. "I don't know." Sideswipe said, feeling unsure. Strongarm looked around until she spotted a suitable van. "You have law enforcement written all over you." She said, scanning it. Gears looked through his selection of cars until he spotted a nice jeep. "Oh, now that's class." He said, scanning the jeep. Mirage looked through the cars. It took a while, but she finally found a perfect old racer. "I love things that are sharp. And that is sharp." She said, scanning the car.

Meanwhile, Bumblebee and Arcee tried to contact Fixit through their com-links. "Bumblebee to Fixit. Come in." Bumblebee said through his com-link. "Fixit, are you there?" Arcee asked through her com-link. "Fixit here." Fixit said, revealing himself as he rolled up to them with a wagon. "Fixit, what're you doing?" Bumblebee asked. "Answering your call. And I'm supposed to be the one with faulty ironing *glitch* whining *glitch* wiring!" Fixit exclaimed, glitching up again. "No, I mean…Never mind." Bumblebee said. "Anyway, any progress with the stasis cells back at the crash site?" Arcee asked. "Yes, I've repaired 1 cell." Fixit said. "You didn't have to come here to tell us that." Bumblebee said. "Yeah, you could've just contacted us through our com-links." Arcee said. "Oh. Oh, sure. I'll just go back to the ship then and take these capture devices with me." Fixit said sadly as he began to leave. "Wait! Capture devices?" Bumblebee asked in interest. "What kind of capture devices?" Arcee asked. Fixit tossed Bumblebee and Arcee a couple of rods. "Just point or throw." He said, tossing a blaster to Strongarm as she, Gears and Mirage walked up. "So, what'd you choose?" Bumblebee asked. Strongarm transformed into a white and blue variation of the same truck she scanned, complete with police sirens. "Yowsa." Russell said in awe. "Nice choice, Arms. Now watch me." Gears said. He transformed into a red and blue variation of the jeep. "Not bad. Check this out." Mirage said. She transformed into a white Formula 1 race car with the number 26. "Nice look, sis." Sideswipe said.

"Bee, you were the closest Optimus ever had to a successor. You take the lead." Arcee said. "Thanks, Arcee." Bumblebee said. "Fixit, back to the ship and ready that cell. Russell, stay here with Sideswipe. Everyone else, we're a team now. And we're all that stands between Underbite and the loss of a lot of innocent lives. So, let's do what we have to do. Let's Rev Up and Roll Out!" After the rest transformed, everyone rolled out towards Crown City. Russell, Sideswipe and Fixit watched as they left. "Good luck…team." Sideswipe muttered quietly.

Meanwhile, Underbite continued driving through the forest, bashing through every tree in his way. Unfortunately, the drive was draining his energy. He slowed to a stop and transformed. "All this organic trash. I'm losing my pump." He said, feeling his power slip away. He saw a little bird in one of the trees and walked up to it. "You! How far am I from the bridge?" He asked. The bird just chirped in surprise and stared at Underbite in confusion.

Meanwhile, Sideswipe looked through the car lot to look for an Earth form for himself. "Hmm. Nah. Nope." He said, not finding anything suitable for him. But then he stumbled across something very interesting. "Hello, handsome." He greeted as he scanned it. He returned to Russell, who was sulking on the trailer with the beaver figures. "Hey. You think this is a good look for me?" He asked as he transformed into a red Japanese street race car. "Whoa!" Russell exclaimed in awe. "Well? Let's go help the others." Sideswipe said, opening his door. "But Bumblebee said-" Russell tried to say. "Look, I really thought long and hard about this. I wanna be part of the team and prove that I'm not as selfish as I look. And if it was you out there, I bet nothing would stop your parents." Sideswipe said. Russell thought about it and hopped off the trailer. "You know, there's always room for dessert." He said, looking at the remaining beaver figures with an idea.

Meanwhile, Underbite made it out of the forest and saw the bridge that leads into Crown City. But as he walked towards it, his power began to run out. As he tried to continue in his weakness, Bumblebee and Arcee appeared in front of the bridge and slowly activated the devices Fixit gave them. "Sorry, Underbite. This bridge is closed." Bumblebee said. "And you're about to be brought in." Arcee said. Just then, Grimlock charged in and bashed into Underbite, tossing him up and knocking him down. As Underbite tried to stand back up, Mirage drove up, transformed and slashed at his front legs. Strongarm and Gears ran up and started blasting Underbite with their new blasters. Bumblebee and Arcee fired energy whips from their weapons to paralyze Underbite. Denny and Katie were in awe by this display. "Always a privilege to watch the Autobots work." Jack said with a smile. "Fixit, you are my new favorite Mini-Con." Bumblebee said. But suddenly, the weapons shorted out. "You spoke too soon, Bee." Arcee. "Fixit, I'm rethinking my ranking." Bumblebee grumbled.

Underbite roared as Bumblebee and Arcee took their stance to defend the bridge. "I need a little iron to get my full shred back. And I don't really care if I have to go through you to get it." Underbite said. Bumblebee and Arcee didn't back down. Strongarm and Gears rushed to their commanding officers' sides. "Ready for your backup plan, Lieutenants." Strongarm said. "We don't have one! Get out of here!" Bumblebee exclaimed. "Both of you! Now!" Arcee exclaimed. "Not a chance, Lieutenant! If you're going down, we go down with you!" Gears exclaimed. Grimlock ran up behind them. "Why don't we start punching him and see how that turns out?" He asked, ready to fight. Mirage leapt out and landed next to Gears. "I'd rather just slice and dice." She said, readying her blades. Denny and Katie drove up in their truck. "Take your best shot, you overgrown schnauzer!" Denny exclaimed. "We're not going out without a fight!" Katie exclaimed. Finally, Jack drove up on his motorcycle and aimed his blaster at Underbite. "Get away from my partner!" He exclaimed. But Underbite didn't even flinch. Suddenly, Sideswipe and Russell drove up with the trailer of beaver figures and stopped in front of Underbite. "Come and get it!" Russell called like a chef. Underbite looked over at the beaver figures. "Just the pick-me-up I was looking for." He said. But as he prepared to take a bite, Sideswipe and Russell took off with the beaver figures. Underbite transformed and chased them back into the forest. "RUSTY!" Denny and Katie cried in worry.

Sideswipe and Russell continued driving through the forest as Underbite continued chasing them. "Now what?" Sideswipe asked. "I haven't really thought that far ahead. But we need to lead him somewhere there's no metal." Russell said. "And no humans." Sideswipe said. Just then, they thought of just the place. "The quarry!" They exclaimed. They drove right to the exact same quarry where they first met and waited for Underbite to appear. Just then, Underbite drove up, transformed and prepared to attack, eyeing the beaver figures. "Gimmie!" He exclaimed as he lunged towards them. But Sideswipe and Russell drove away. Underbite nearly slid off the edge of the cliff, roaring in anger. Just then, the others showed up, bashed into Underbite and started trying to push Underbite over the edge. "GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT! EVERYTHING!" Bumblebee exclaimed. Russell got out of Sideswipe, allowing him to join the others. "This is awesome!" Grimlock exclaimed. "Best day of my life!" Mirage exclaimed. But Underbite wasn't done yet. He grabbed a couple of beaver figures, ate them in a single bite and powered up, sending everyone flying backwards. "That's what I'm TALKING ABOUT!" He exclaimed. He picked up Jack's motorcycle and Denny's truck, with Denny and Katie still in it. "Who's the boss now?" He asked. "Mom! Dad!" Russell cried as he ran towards Underbite. But Bumblebee transformed and blocked him. "FALL BACK!" He ordered. The team transformed and fell back. But Gears drew his blaster and aimed for Underbite's head. "Gears! Hold your fire!" Bumblebee ordered. "No! I won't let this Con walk away Scott free!" Gears exclaimed. "But my parents!" Russell cried. "Collateral damage! The job comes first!" Gears exclaimed as he started squeezing the trigger. But Arcee blocked the blaster with her hand. Gears looked at her in confusion. "When I first came to Earth with Optimus and Bumblebee and the others, we all took a vow. We put human safety before our own. That's why we became police officers, to put the safety of others before our own. Do you really want to put lives at stake just for the sake of doing your job?" Arcee asked. Gears put all this to thought and lowered his blaster in defeat.

Underbite chuckled as he ate Jack's motorcycle in one bite and powered up again. "Who's rough?! Who's tough?! Who's HUGE!" He exclaimed as he started crushing the truck with his bare hands. "NO!" Bumblebee cried. But before he could do something, he noticed something and gasped. Just then, a hand grasped Underbite's shoulder. Underbite turned and to his shock, saw none other than…Optimus Prime himself! Everyone was shocked to see him. Optimus tossed Underbite down into the quarry. "Ow." Underbite said as he hit the bottom. "Mom? Dad?" Russell called, ready to cry. Optimus turned around, revealing to be holding the truck with Denny and Katie, alive and well. As Optimus put the truck down, Denny and Katie got out and embraced Russell. "Optimus! You are alive!" Bumblebee exclaimed happily. "I don't believe it!" Arcee exclaimed happily. But then they got confused. "Are you alive?" Bumblebee asked. "Or are you a ghost?" Arcee asked. "That is unclear. But I do know is that I cannot maintain my presence on Earth for much longer." Optimus said. Everyone gathered around. "You have found an excellent team, my friends." Optimus said. Strongarm bowed respectfully. Gears took a knee and bowed. Sideswipe felt unsure. But with a comforting hand from Mirage, he bowed respectfully with her. "We…We found each other actually, sir." Arcee said. "We always do." Jack said. "It's good to see you again, Jack." Optimus said. "You too, Optimus." Jack said. "Together, you will confront many challenges. The forces facing Earth are immense and formidable. But I am certain you will accomplish great things as you did today." Optimus said. "But we needed your help, Optimus. We'll always need your help." Bumblebee said. "He's right. We don't know if we can do this without you." Arcee said. "You are ready to lead, my old friends. Do not doubt yourselves." Optimus assured. "Will we see you again?" Bumblebee asked. "I am not certain. The universe has a plan for me, but I do not know what it is. You will prevail, my friends. You must." Optimus said. And with that, he started to glow and then he disappeared.

Later, after returning to the scrapyard, Denny, Katie and Russell began helping Fixit bring supplies from the Alchemor to set up a new headquarters. Grimlock and Mirage locked up Underbite in the active stasis cell before looking at the new Team Bee. "You sure you're okay having us move our new command center onto your property?" Bumblebee asked. "We really don't want it to be a bother." Arcee said. "It's no bother." Katie said. "Our place is a much better hideout than the woods." Denny said. "And we can help you keep your cover. Um, if I'm…not doing anything else." Russell said. "And I'll be here to help you anyway I can." Jack said. "Just like old times, partner." Arcee said. Jack smiled at that. Just then, Grimlock and Mirage walked up. "You're not going to make us go back to sleep, are you?" Grimlock asked, gesturing to Underbite. "I didn't really do anything bad. I turned myself in willingly to get a light sentence." Mirage said. "Anything in the protocols?" Gears asked surprisingly. "Protocol 13, Section 9 says prisoners must be-" Strongarm tried to say. But then Bumblebee and Arcee held up their hands. "Consider yourselves on probation." Bumblebee said. "But, sir!" Strongarm exclaimed. "Yes!" Mirage cheered. "Oh yeah! I'm on probation. Yes, on probation." Grimlock sang as he hugged Strongarm and Gears. "Hey! Easy with the hugs there!" Strongarm exclaimed as she and Gears broke free. "Uh, that's a good thing, right?" Grimlock asked in confusion. "Yep. Probation is a very good thing." Mirage said. "Yeah!" Grimlock cheered. "Glad you're with us, Sideswipe." Bumblebee said. "You won't regret this." Arcee said. "I sure hope not." Sideswipe said. "Welcome to the team." Strongarm said, holding out her hand. "Thanks." Sideswipe said, shaking it. The 2 blushed at each other for a second. Just then, Gears shoved some equipment into Sideswipe's arms. "Alright, as your senior officer, I order you to take this equipment-" Gears started to say. But Sideswipe threw down the equipment. "You don't get to boss me around!" He exclaimed. "Yeah! That'll be my job!" Strongarm exclaimed. Sideswipe actually smiled at that. "Excuse me. These are very delicate." Fixit said. "I don't know if you studied the science of 394J receptors. Their construction is very interenting *glitch* internet *glitch* interesting!" Denny and Katie hugged Russell as Bumblebee set down another piece of tech. "I…we…won't let you down, Optimus. And if I say it enough, I'll actually believe it." Bumblebee said. "We could never let Optimus down, Bumblebee. He had faith in us during the war, and he'll have faith in us now." Arcee said. As Sideswipe and Strongarm continued to argue with Gears, Grimlock brought them and Mirage into another hug as he started singing again.

Meanwhile, a group of masked men opened up an old storage unit. Inside was a set of computers and equipment. This was a hideout belonging to the old technologically advanced terrorists to both humans and Cybertronians. MECH. One of the masked men, reactivated the power to the systems. "Sir, all systems are still up and running after all these years." The new leader of MECH entered the storage unit, but was silhouetted by the shadows. "Excellent. That earthquake was no coincidence. The Cybertronians have returned to Earth. And with their technology, MECH will rule the known galaxy." He said as his left eye began glowing red.

Alright! Wasn't that amazing?! As Bumblebee, Arcee, Strongarm, Sideswipe and Gears are now joined by the Dinobot, Grimlock, and Sideswipe's sister, Mirage, they now come into contact with Russell's parents, Denny and Katie. And Arcee's old partner, Jack Derby, has returned to help. And with a little help from Optimus Prime before he disappeared, they managed to bring down Underbite and lock him up. Now it's up to Bumblebee and Arcee to lead their new team and round up the remaining Decepticons. What plans are MECH planning now that they've returned?
