Chapter 14: Adventures in Bumblebee-Sitting
Team Bee was chasing a porcupine Decepticon named Quillfire through a parking lot. "I will not be crushed under the weight of your oppression!" Quillfire exclaimed. He stopped as the quills on his back glowed light blue before firing them. Grimlock picked up a car and blocked several quills. The rest of the team drove ahead as they continued to chase their Decepticon. Quillfire continued running, leaping over an old man's car as it was backing out. Bumblebee and Cinderray transformed to leap over it while the others drove around before transforming back to their vehicle mode. But then, Bumblebee skidded to a stop, prompting the others to stop, lightly bumping into him and each other. But they were all pushed hard by Grimlock when he tried to stop. "My bad." He apologized. As Quillfire kept running, he transformed into a brown jeep and drove off. "What do we do now?" Knock Out asked. "Split up." Bumblebee said. Team Bee all took off in separate directions.
As Quillfire drove into a construction yard, he was stopped by Strongarm and Gears when they fired a warning shot, making him transform. "Get ready to be oppressed right back into your stasis pod, Decepticon." Strongarm said. Sideswipe and Mirage drove up and transformed, blocking Quillfire on the right. When Quillfire tried running to the left, Grimlock arrived on time and transformed, blocking him. Smokescreen and Knock Out joined him as they drove up and transformed. Quillfire tried to run back the way he came, but Bumblebee, Arcee and Cinderray drove up and transformed. "You got nowhere to run now, Con." Arcee said. "Just come along quietly." Bumblebee said. Cinderray stared at Quillfire, feeling something familiar about him. "Heroes of the revolution never come along quietly! Kuh-kah!" Quillfire exclaimed as he fired his quills. Bumblebee, Arcee and Cinderray quickly dove for cover. Strongarm and Gears fired their blasters, but Quillfire tossed a few of his quills, blocking the blasts and knocking the blasters out of their hands. As Quillfire fired more quills, Sideswipe leapt for cover as Mirage slashed the quills with her blades. He fired more quills as Smokescreen quickly activated his Phase Shifter, becoming intangible. The quills passed through him as Knock Out dove for cover.
Just then, Quillfire turned his attention towards Grimlock. "Uh-oh." Grimlock said with worry as Quillfire fired his quills at him. "Grimlock!" Bumblebee cried as he ran over to help. He pushed Grimlock out of the way before the quills could even graze them. "I…I won?!" Quillfire asked in shock. Bumblebee and Grimlock groaned. "I won! Kuh-kah!" Quillfire cheered. He took a quill from his back and slashed it against a loading crate, leaving his mark. "Quillfire was here!" He exclaimed before leaving. Bumblebee and Grimlock recovered as the rest of Team Bee ran over. "Autobots, Roll Up and…and…Rev Out." Bumblebee said woozily before he fainted, revealing to have been struck by one of Quillfire's quills. "Bee!" Cinderray cried in worry. "Even I know he didn't mean to say his rallying cry like that." Grimlock said.

Later, as Team Bee returned to the scrapyard, Fixit examined the damage and operated on Bumblebee. "Laser scalpel. Scopic light. Rotating blade. Thank you. You're welcome." He said, playing doctor and assistant with his attachments. "Is Bumblebee gonna be okay?" Russell asked. "We've seen Bumblebee go through some pretty bad stuff before, but never something like this." Raf said. "I'm not sure which was worse. When Megatron took his voice, got into his head, blasted him on the Omega Lock, or when MECH took his T-Cog." Arcee said. "The Lieutenant will be fine. It's just a scratch. Right, Fixit?" Strongarm asked with a hint of worry. "We need to remove that quill from his posterior. Strongarm, please assist." Fixit said, transforming into a plier. "This is a very de-de-de-de-de-de-de-de-" He started glitching out again. But Strongarm smacked him, snapping him back. "-delicate procedure. Every Bot remain still." "You better remain still." Strongarm warned. She and Fixit grabbed hold of the quill and prepared to pull. Everyone averted their eyes as they, in one quick yank, pulled the quill out of Bumblebee. He shouted in pain as it was removed before passing out again. Fixit sighed in relief as he transformed back. "One inch to the left and Bumblebee might not have-" He started to say, but stopped at the sight of the glares everyone was giving him. "I mean, the operation is a success, of course."
As Strongarm put him down, he rolled over to his scanner and placed the quill on it. During the scan, he opened the Alchemor's prisoner manifest and cross-referenced it to the correct matching Decepticon, which pulled up Quillfire's profile. "Our fugitive is named Quillfire, an anarchist and agent of chaos. He believes there should be no such thing as authority." He explained. "I remember him. He used to be part of an old Decepticon pirate crew back in the days before he found his 'true calling'. He's real as tough as he is crazy." Mirage said. 'Quillfire? Why does that name sound familiar?' Cinderray thought. "What does your computer say about those quills of his?" Miko asked. "Quillfire's quills contain toxins that effect the nervous systems of those struck. But each target is affected differently. So, we can't predict how Bumblebee will respond." Fixit explained. "Guess all we can do is wait." Sideswipe said. "Agreed. And hope Bumblebee will pull through." Gears said. "Alright. While Bumblebee's incapacitated, I'll assume command of the team until he recovers. And Jack, I'm appointing you as temporary second-in-command." Arcee said. "Thanks, Cee. You can count on me." Jack said.
Just then, Bumblebee started to slowly recover. "Bumblebee?" Grimlock asked. "Are you feeling okay, Bee?" Smokescreen asked. "Say something." Raf said. "It's…It's…It's a 3-winged, sparkle-armored Schlopticon!" Bumblebee cried, pointing at the sky. The team all looked up, but there was nothing. "Where?!" Grimlock asked. "I don't see anything." Nalu said. Bumblebee started laughing. "Made you look! I ma-, I ma-, I ma-, I made him look!" He joked as he got up, transformed and drove off. "What just happened?" Knock Out asked. "Perhaps the quill impacted Bumblebee's brain chemistry and affected the lieutenant's maturity levels." Fixit guessed. "You think?" Russell asked sarcastically.
Meanwhile, Quillfire drove through the forest until he transformed upon noticing something within the distance, making him gasp. "No. NO! I'm coming for you, brave ones. Resist until I set you free!" He exclaimed. But then, Autobot Cinderray, having separated back at the scrapyard, drove out in front of him and transformed. "I've been looking for you, Quillfire." She said with determination.
Meanwhile, back at the Scrapyard, Arcee and Jack briefed the team on the situation. "Okay, team. Our first priority should be locating Quillfire and bringing him in. But we can't leave any loose strings untied." Arcee said. "Meaning we can't leave Bumblebee running loose. He might hurt himself so long as he continues acting like a child." Jack said. "Exactly. We'll have to secure Bee first, then go look for Quillfire." Arcee said. The team looked at each other. "Works for me." Strongarm said. "I see no problem with that." Mirage said. "Genius." Sideswipe said. The others agreed. "Good. Then let's split up and look for Bee." Arcee said. "Except us, Rangers. We're staying with Fixit to study up on Quillfire's quills." Jack said. "I'm cool with that." Miko said. "That's fine with me." Brook said.
As the team split up to look for Bumblebee, Grimlock, Smokescreen and Knock Out checked through the aisles. "Bumblebee? Yo, Bee! Where are you?" Grimlock called. "Come out, come out wherever you are, Bee!" Smokescreen called. Suddenly, they were hit in the faces with oil pies. Bumblebee laughed as they wiped them off. "You got served! And what were you served? Oil pies!" He laughed before taking off. "That's just mean." Grimlock said. "I know. And I just had my finish waxed." Knock Out said.
Sideswipe and Mirage checked another section of aisles. Suddenly, they activated a tripwire and a makeshift catapult launched a ball of bolts, knocking them into a tire pile. "Young Bee is an evil genius! I'm actually annoyed and impressed." Sideswipe said. "Me too." Mirage added.
Later, they returned to Fixit, Russell, Hank and the Nebula Rangers as they were researching Quillfire's quills. Just then, Arcee, Strongarm and Gears walked up, covered in a foamy substance. "Whoa! What happened to you guys?" Sideswipe asked. "He got us with fire extinguisher foam. This isn't covered in any manuals I've read." Strongarm said. "This is just embarrassing." Gears said, wiping off the foam. "Fixit, is there a way for us to fix Bumblebee?" Arcee asked as she shook off the foam. "Unfortunately, according to our studies, Bumblebee will remain altered as long as Quillfire's toxin stays active in his body." Fixit explained. "It's kinda like when humans eat a lot of sugar. They get very hyped up on energy." Miko added. "So, Bumblebee will be like this until the poison runs its course?" Gears asked. "Looks like we're all going to have to babysit him." Annika said. "Sit on a child?! And this will help how?!" Strongarm asked. "Not in that way, Cadet." Arcee said. "Babysit means to watch over someone who can't watch over himself." Nalu explained. "Don't worry. I've experienced a few sugar jolts in my day. This will be easy." Russell said. "I'm the king of the clothes dryer!" Bumblebee cheered. The team turned around and saw him standing on an unsteady pile of clothes dryers. "All hail the king!" But then he lost balance and fell into the pile. Decepticon Cinderray screamed as she saw this when she returned. Bumblebee quickly recovered, opening the door of the clothes dryer that got stuck on his head as he continued laughing. "Clothes dryer!" He chuckled before heading off again.
"Uh, easy might have been a wee bit optimistic." Russell said. "You think?" Mariposa asked. "And what hilariously hurtful prank did he get you with, Cinderray?" Gears asked. "It…wasn't a prank. He just gave me…this." Decepticon Cinderray said, showing them a bouquet of decorative metal flowers. Strongarm inspected them. "They're clean. Just regular metal flowers." She said. The team rose their eyebrows, wondering why she was getting special treatment while they were unaware of her insignia being a Decepticon.
Meanwhile, Autobot Cinderray continued her confrontation on Quillfire. "You! You're still alive! We were certain you had perished when you escaped us!" Quillfire said in surprise, recognizing her. "That's why I came looking for you. You know something about my past that I can't remember. You're gonna tell me exactly what I want to know." Autobot Cinderray said, venomously. Quillfire shook at the sight of her glaring optics. "Okay, okay! I used to run with a Decepticon pirate crew! We were hired to go into a sacred part of space and capture a very special Cybertronian. That Cybertronian…was you." He explained. Autobot Cinderray's optics widened in shock.
Meanwhile, as night fell, back at the scrapyard, Team Bee continued to try to find and contain Bumblebee. "Lieutenant? Why don't you come out so we can all play together?" Strongarm called. Suddenly, she stepped in something. She looked down and saw that she stepped into a claw-foot bathtub filled with rubber cement. She grunted as she tried to kick it off as the others walked up. "Something's wrong with your foot." Grimlock said. "What gave you that idea?" Gears asked sarcastically. "Help me get this washtub off!" Strongarm exclaimed. Sideswipe and Grimlock both grabbed the tub and pulled as hard as they could while Strongarm did the same. But it proved to be difficult. "Hold still!" Grimlock said as he pulled. "Rubber cement! It sticks like crazy!" Sideswipe said. "And perfect for a prank." Mirage added. With one final hard pull, they pulled the tub off Strongarm's foot, causing her to stumble and fall. But now, the tub was now stuck on Grimlock's right hand as he tried to shake it off. "You okay?" Sideswipe asked as he helped Strongarm to her feet. "Yeah. I'm fine." Strongarm said. "Okay, we really need to find a way to contain Bee's childish insanity. It's reminding me too much of when Smokescreen first joined the team." Arcee said. "Yeah. I had to learn things the hard way." Smokescreen said. "BOO!" Bumblebee shouted as he came up behind the team, making them scream in terror. He laughed at their misfortune. "You should see the looks on your faces!" He cheered.
Just then, Decepticon Cinderray ran up. "What happened? I heard a scream." She said. "Oh, it was nothing. Except Bumblebee decided it would be funny to scare us out of our outer coatings." Knock Out said. "Cinderray! For you!" Bumblebee said, holding out a metal heart. "Oh. Thank you." Decepticon Cinderray said, accepting the heart. "So, are we still playing Search For Your Half?" Bumblebee asked playfully. "Search For Your Half? What's he talking about, Cinderray?" Arcee asked suspiciously. "Uh…I…" Decepticon Cinderray stuttered, holding the heart over her insignia. Arcee walked up and moved the heart, revealing her Decepticon insignia. "You split yourself in 2?! And you sent your Autobot half to go after Quillfire alone?!" She exclaimed in a mix of shock and anger. "Please! It's not what you think!" Decepticon Cinderray cried. "We'll see. Team, Cinderray and I are going out to find her Autobot half. The rest of you stay and…contain Bumblebee as best as you can." Arcee said, seeing that Bumblebee took off again. "And if you should need backup, ma'am?" Strongarm asked. "I'll comm you." Arcee said.
Meanwhile, after hearing everything Quillfire told her, Autobot Cinderray demanded to know more. "You attempted to abduct me! Where did I come from?! Who hired you to do so?!" She exclaimed. "I…I…I don't know! Our employer wanted to remain ominous! We didn't learn his identity! We just took the job and proceeded with what we were ordered to do!" Quillfire explained in panic. Suddenly, they heard the sound of a motor coming their way. Seeing his chance, Quillfire punched Autobot Cinderray, knocking her out, and fled.
"Cinderray, wake up." Arcee's voice said. Autobot Cinderray groaned as she woke up, seeing Arcee and her Deception half, who looked concerned, looking down at her. "Busted." She groaned as they helped her up. "What were you thinking, splitting yourself and going after Quillfire by yourself?" Arcee asked as the 2 halves remerged into an Autocon. "Quillfire knew something about my past. I felt familiar to him. I wanted to know what he knew." Cinderray said. "And what did he tell you?" Arcee asked. "Not much. He just told me that someone hired him and his old crew to kidnap me from my own planet." Cinderray said. "Look, I get that you want to know about where you came from and how you came to be here on Earth. But you need to let us know these things before you make these rash decisions. Believe me. I've made some rash decisions in the past. Starscream, Airachnid, Megatron. I don't want you going down that path." Arcee explained. "I understand, Arcee." Cinderray said, feeling a bit bad for the rushed decision she just made. "Anyway, did you by chance see where Quillfire went before you were knocked out?" Arcee asked. Suddenly, there was a busting noise nearby. "I'm gonna guess that way." Cinderray said, pointing towards the direction.
Meanwhile, at the local carnival grounds, a security guard was investigating a break-in at the animal pens. "Uh, yeah, this is Bob. Something's spooking the animals. Well, no, I haven't seen anything out of the- Wait, okay, hang on. Yeah, someone's broken into the elephant pen." He said into his radio. The elephants were grouped up in fear, concealing Quillfire from the guard's sight. "Yes, I understand you're overwhelmed by the prospect of freedom, but you can't stay in this cage out of fear!" Quillfire exclaimed, trying to free the elephants. But the elephants weren't listening to him, making him groan. But then, he noticed the tail on one of the elephants. "Perhaps this activates these creatures." He said. He pulled on the tail and the elephants started to charge for the hole in the pen. The guard leapt out of the way as the elephants got loose. "Yes! Sound the trumpets of revolution!" Quillfire cried as he took a quill and scratched his mark onto the elephant sign.
Meanwhile, back at the scrapyard, as Russell, Fixit, Hank and the Nebula Rangers continued to examine Quillfire's quill, Team Bee returned from trying to find Bumblebee. "Bots, any luck?" Russell asked. "No. He's slipperier than a puddle of oil." Sideswipe said as he and the Bots walked up. But then, they noticed a mud puddle in front of them. "Uh oh." Sideswipe said, knowing what was coming. Just then, Bumblebee drove up, driving through the puddle and splashing the bots. He turned around and splashed them again, laughing as he drove away. "Okay, we need to get that Bot to sit still and be quiet. Now!" Smokescreen exclaimed. "That will be difficult. Lieutenant Bumblebee currently has the energy and attitude of an Earth child younger than Russell and Hank." Fixit said. "Okay. So, how did my babysitters get me to sit still?" Russell asked. "Duct tape?" Sideswipe guessed. "Chains?" Mirage guessed. "Glue?" Knock Out guessed.
Later, they put a classic western movie on the TV in the diner, hoping to draw Bumblebee over. "Boy, this movie is fantastic!" Russell called. "I cannot stop watching!" Sideswipe called. "You sure this is gonna work?" Strongarm asked. "If there's one thing about Earth that's Bumblebee's absolute favorite, it's cowboys." Raf said. Just then, Bumblebee showed up, saw the movie and sat down to watch it. "It worked." Sideswipe said. "Booyah! Russell out." Russell said. "Just in time too. Arcee just called. She and Cinderray got a lead on Quillfire. May require backup." Smokescreen said. "You guys go on. Mirage and I will stay and help watch over Bee." Sideswipe said. "Thanks, Sideswipe. Okay, team, let's Rev Up and Roll Out!" Strongarm called, using Bumblebee's catchphrase. Team Bee transformed, let their human partners in, and headed out. "Wow. That catchphrase really makes your voice box tingle." Suddenly, Hank's eyes glowed again, witnessing another vision. "Oh boy." She said.
Meanwhile, Arcee and Cinderray hid in the bushes as they watched the carnival entrance get surrounded by the police. "This just got serious." Cinderray said.
Back at the scrapyard, as Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Mirage, Russell and Hank continued watching the movie, Russell's stomach growled. "I need popcorn." He said. "And I could use a soda." Hank said. They both got up and went to get their snacks. "Decent movie." Sideswipe sniffled as he and Mirage started to cry tears of oil. "So beautifully decent." Mirage sniffled. "We need to go dry our optics. We seem to be leaking lubricant." Sideswipe said. "Yeah, good call." Mirage said. They got up and walked off to find their towels, leaving Bumblebee to watch the movie by himself. "We'll be right back with classic western movie action after this word from Fleeber-brand lunchmeat." A guy on TV said. "Boring." Bumblebee said, getting up and walking away to the command center. "Quillfire breached the carnival grounds, Fixit." Arcee said through the com-link. "Roger that. Strongarm and the others are on their way to you now." Fixit said. "The carnival! Sweet!" Bumblebee whispered excitedly before taking off. When Russell, Hank, Sideswipe and Mirage returned, they saw that Bumblebee was gone. "Scrap!" They said simultaneously. "Guys, it's alright. I know where Bee's going. I had another vision. The team's gonna capture Quillfire at the carnival grounds thanks to Bumblebee's childish antics." Hank explained.
Meanwhile, as Strongarm's group met up with Arcee and Cinderray, they saw the situation down at the carnival. "Scrap!" They said simultaneously. "I know. They showed up before you did." Arcee said. "There has to be a way to get past them. There just has to be." Strongarm said. "Jack, can't you and your Ranger buds do something about those cops?" Gears asked. "I'm afraid that telling the cops to leave is out of our jurisdiction." Jack said. "The party must be near, because Bumblebee is here!" Bumblebee cheered as he showed up. Cinderray giggled at that. "That was pretty good." She said. "Lieutenant Arcee, Sideswipe, Mirage, Russell and Hank report that Bumblebee may have left the scrapyard!" Fixit exclaimed through the com-link. "That's confirmed, Fixit. Tell them that they did their best." Arcee said. "What are you even doing here?" Knock Out asked. "You didn't tell me you were going to the carnival." Bumblebee said. He walked right up until he spotted the police cars. "You think any of those police cars are Autobots like us? I'll go ask!" He said. He was about to head down, but Strongarm and Smokescreen pulled him back. "Robots in disguise! That's perfect!" Strongarm said as she got an idea. "You know what to do, cadet. We'll be right behind you. Except you, Grimlock. Sit on Bee if you have to." Arcee said. "Okie-dokie." Grimlock said, side-hugging Bumblebee. Arcee, Strongarm and the others transformed, let their human partners in and drove down the hill. "Oh! Come on! Let's go with them!" Bumblebee said excitedly. But Grimlock grabbed him and held him down. "Wait! No! Arcee was just kidding! No! No!" Bumblebee cried as Grimlock sat on him. "It's dark down here!"
As the others kept hidden, Strongarm drove up to the other police cars and activated her speakers. "Attention! False alarm! Please return to Crown City immediately! We have reports of a nefarious motorcycle gang making illegal left turns all across downtown!" She exclaimed. The police drove off, believing her report. Once they were gone, the rest of the team drove up, let their human partners out and transformed, walking into the carnival grounds. "Alright, team, check everywhere for Quillfire. Let nothing stand in your way." Arcee said. Suddenly, the elephants charged towards them. "Uh, would that include stampeding pachyderms?" Miko asked with worry.
As the elephants were about to trample them, Teresa walked up and raised her right arm. "STOP!" She yelled. The elephants stopped in their tracks. Teresa gently petted their trunks. "It's okay. It's all gonna be okay. Nobody's here to hurt you." She said. The elephants purred at the sound of her sweet voice. "Okay. Go on back to your pen now." Teresa said. The elephants turned around and headed back to their pen. "That was amazing." Smokescreen said. "Teresa has her way with animals." Jack said, giving Teresa a high-five. "Alright, team, now we can get back to focusing on finding Quillfire." Arcee said. "Tracking Quillfire's signal, Team Bee. He's very close to your position." Fixit called through the com-link. "Okay, team. Let's all keep quiet so we can surprise him." Arcee whispered. Suddenly, all the carnival lights and rides turned on. "What happened?" Nalu asked. "Quillfire must've turned on all the rides to distract us." Strongarm guessed. "Uh, I don't think it was Quillfire." Mariposa said, pointing towards something very upsetting. The team looked and saw Bumblebee playing with the bumper cars like they were skates. "How in the name of Solus Prime did he get down here?!" Knock Out asked in shock. "That would be my bad." Grimlock said as he walked up. "Grimlock. How did Bumblebee get away from you?" Gears asked. "Ever try sitting on a Bot while he transforms?" Grimlock asked, showing a very unwelcoming injury to the team, who were disturbed by it. "Not recommended." "Okay, team, with that being too much information, with Bumblebee distracted, let's find our Decepticon." Arcee said. As they headed off, Quillfire watched them. "They want to block me at every turn. Does tyranny know no bounds?" He grumbled to himself quietly before sneaking away.
As Team Bee and the Nebula Rangers searched for Quillfire, they checked over the Zero Gravity ride and found Quillfire's mark carved in it. As they climbed up to investigate it, Quillfire snuck up to the control panel and turned on the ride. As the ride started spinning, Quillfire activated the rotary. The ride began tilting as it started spinning faster and faster. He walked away as Team Bee and the Nebula Rangers were forced to the sides due to the speed. "There maybe more Autobots coming. Best to hide until they tire of looking for me." He said. He entered a tent filled with trampolines. "This will do nicely. Simply remaining free of the oppressors' iron fist is a victory onto itself." But he found himself feeling uneasy as he attempted to walk on the trampolines. Suddenly, Bumblebee appeared, leaping on the trampolines and laughing excitedly at the whole experience. Quillfire was surprised by this. "Isn't this the best place ever?!" He asked as he continued to leap around. "You seek to confuse me! But my resolve is strong!" Quillfire exclaimed. "And you look like you can totally bounce!" Bumblebee said. As he cannonballed onto the trampoline, Quillfire bounced into the air. He screamed as they both continued to bounce around.
Meanwhile, Team Bee and the Nebula Rangers continued spinning on the Zero Gravity ride. "WHOOOOOO!" Grimlock cheered. "Can't take much more!" Strongarm groaned from the spinning. "If we continue spinning like this, the G-force will cause our blood to rush into our heads and our internal organs will rupture!" Raf groaned. "Brook, can't you short out the ride with your electrical powers?" Gears asked with a groan. "Can't! Too much spinning! Can't concentrate!" Brook groaned. Just then, Strongarm reached for her blaster and took aim for the control panel. "Focus!" Strongarm groaned. She fired her blaster and hit the control panel dead-on, destroying it and forcing the ride to stop. The team groaned as they dizzily got off the ride. But Grimlock was happy as a clam. "That was worth the price of admission, don't you think?" He asked. "Oh, just you wait until I get my second win, Dinobot." Gears groaned. "We should check on the lieutenant." Strongarm groaned. "And where exactly could he be at this moment?" Knock Out asked. Suddenly, they heard Quillfire screaming. "I'm gonna guess he's over that way." Grimlock said. "Just follow the screams." Miko added. "Let's move, team." Arcee said. They got up and hurried to the trampoline tent.
Meanwhile, Bumblebee and Quillfire continued bouncing in the tent. "Let's see if we can tread mark the ceiling!" Bumblebee exclaimed excitedly. Just then, as Team Bee entered the tent, the force from Bumblebee's bounce sent Cinderray into the air. "Ah, the Autocon's in place where I can strike her." Quillfire said. He fired his quills into the air towards Cinderray. "Cinderray!" The team cried. "Help!" Cinderray cried. Just then, Bumblebee leapt in and grabbed her, pushing her out of the quills' path. As they landed, the force sent Quillfire into the air as the quills started to come down towards him. "Uh oh." He said before the quills pierced his belly. The team hurried in to check on Bumblebee and Cinderray. "Got you a present." Bumblebee said as Quillfire fell into Grimlock's arms. "I don't feel well." Quillfire said before he fell unconscious.
Later, the team exited the tent with their unconscious prisoner. "Well, it's official. Tonight's experience has completely ruined carnivals for me." Sierra said. "Oh, major coolness!" Bumblebee exclaimed excitedly as he ran over to a trio of trick mirrors and started making faces. "How can he still be so energized?" Strongarm asked. "Seriously, you'd think after all this excitement, the toxin would've run its course." Smokescreen said. "The toxin in that quill must've been stronger than Fixit thought." Jack said. "If the real Bumblebee were here, I bet he'd know what to do." Grimlock said. "Grimlock, that is the real Bumblebee. And until the toxin wears off-" Strongarm tried to explain. "It's okay, Strongarm. Grimlock gets it." Arcee said. "But in the meantime, where are we going to put Bumblebee until the toxin wears off?" Teresa asked. "It's gotta be somewhere secure where he won't break anything or hurt himself." Annika said. Just then, Strongarm noticed something. "Hey." She said before taking off, leaving the team confused.
Later, the team had chained Bumblebee to the top of a clown-headed tower. "You said this ride was awesome! When does it get awesome?" He called as Grimlock and Knock Out climbed down. "Seems pretty awesome to me." Strongarm said. "Hopefully, the toxin will wear off by daybreak." Arcee said. "Hey! Look, I can…You probably can't, but I can see the scrapyard from up here!" Bumblebee called. He immediately got bored from the view. "I'm still waiting on the awesome!"
Later, as morning rose, Bumblebee groaned as he started waking up. "What's with the restraints? Is this someone's idea of a prank?" He asked, back to his old self. "Bee's back." Grimlock said. "And not a moment too soon." Raf said. "Oh! Why does my head feel so heavy?" Bumblebee asked, feeling a headache coming on.
Later, as they returned to the scrapyard, the team placed Quillfire inside his stasis pod. "Nice…work, team." Bumblebee said. "It was all you, Bee." Arcee said. "Yes. You nabbed the Decepticon." Strongarm added. "And saved my life in the process." Cinderray said with a blush. "Well, that's what you keep saying. Just wish I could remember what happened." Bumblebee said. "Nah. You don't really." Grimlock said. "Yeah, it's for the best." Gears said. "But Arcee did a great job of filling your stabilizers while you were…out." Grimlock said. "And so did young Jack as her second-in-command." Knock Out said. "Well, I suppose thanks are in order, you 2." Bumblebee said. "We're proud to be of help, Bee." Jack said. "Yeah. Though we hope it'll be a while before we have to do it again." Arcee said. Bumblebee smiled as he walked away. "So, you're not going to tell Bumblebee how Mirage and I messed up while we were supposed to be watching him?" Sideswipe asked. "Or how I split myself in 2 to get answers about my past?" Cinderray asked. "That happened when we were temporarily in command. Now we're just happy to be part of the team again." Jack said. "Yeah. Besides, you 2, along with Hank and Russell, did your best. And you did what you thought was right, Cinderray. And remember, we'll be by your side if you want to find out more about your past." Arcee said. "Thanks, Arcee." Cinderray said. Suddenly, Bumblebee stepped in his rubber cement-filled bathtub. "Rubber cement?! Classic." He said with a chuckle.
Wow! Wasn't that crazy?! In pursuit of Quillfire, the 'leader of the revolution', Bumblebee got hit by one of his quills, causing him to start acting like a child. While the team were trying to contain Bumblebee, Cinderray went after Quillfire, revealing that he was hired by an ominous benefactor to kidnap her from her home planet. But luckily, when the team confronted Quillfire in the carnival, Bumblebee's childish antics allowed them to capture him. But who was this ominous benefactor that hire Quillfire's old crew?
