Chapter 16: Daughter of Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime stood within the Realm of the Primes, the sacred realm that serves as a final resting place for the Primes. As he stood on the edge, his thoughts were focused on Bumblebee, Arcee and their team, wondering how they were doing on their mission since he wasn't there to help. "Optimus." A voice called out. Optimus' optics widened, having heard that voice before. He turned around and saw a beautiful, pink, female Autobot. "Elita One." He said in surprise. Elita One was his old longtime lover from back during the war, even before he became a Prime. She died in action before the Autobots were assigned to head for Earth.
"Elita, why are you here? This realm is only for the Primes." Optimus said as he walked up to her. "I was brought here by the Primes. They considered me one of them despite not being a Prime." Elita said. "I really am happy to see you again, Elita. Ever since…since that very day we sent our beloved Sparkling off-world." Optimus said. Elita grew sad at that. "It's been so long since we've last seen our little Sparkling, Optimus. So long after we sent her off-world during the war." She said. "But I have not sensed her after a thousand years had passed after the war with Megatron and the Decepticons had finally ended." "She must not have been awakened yet. She must still be out there somewhere. And hopefully, someone will find her soon." Optimus said, putting a comforting hand on Elita's shoulder.
Meanwhile, an unknown spacecraft is seen traveling through space as it passed by the moon and heading its way towards Earth. As the spacecraft entered Earth's orbit, it crashed somewhere in the middle of the forest.

Later that day, down at the scrapyard, Team Bee was doing some routines with the Nebula Rangers. "Alright. Now remember, Nebula Rangers, when you see an opening with a Decepticon, that will be your moment to strike." Bumblebee instructed. "Yes. As Annika and Gears have clearly demonstrated." Arcee said, gesturing to Annika standing beside Gears, who was frozen in a block of ice, with only his head not frozen. "Very funny. Can someone thaw me out now?" Gears asked, unamused. "Alright. We've had our fun." Shawn said as he walked up, motioned his hand and created a fire ring around the frozen Autobot. "Great. That ring should melt you out of that ice in a matter of minutes." Dominick said.
Just then, Jack's phone rang. "Hello? Agent Fowler?" He asked as he answered. "Jack, we've detected an alien spacecraft crash landed in a forest about 3,000 miles from Crown City. I want you and your team to investigate the crash site right now." Agent Fowler said over the phone. "Yes, sir. We'll get on it right away." Jack said as he ended the call. "What's happening, Jack?" Sierra asked. "That was Agent Fowler. An alien spacecraft crashed in a forest 3,000 miles from Crown City. He wants us to check it out." Jack said. "Fixit, can you pull up a map of said forest?" Arcee asked. Fixit looked up a map of the forest. "I've found the forest and I've pinpointed the location of the crashed ship." He said, zooming on the ship. "And it appears to be…a Cybertronian ship!" "I suggest that we all go there together before any Decepticons find the ship first." Bumblebee suggested. "But how do we get there? You heard Jack. It's 3,000 miles away from the city." Gears said. "What about the Ground Bridge? Is it good enough to get us to the coordinates of the ship?" Strongarm asked. "It needs some minor tune-ups, but it has just enough power to get you to those coordinates." Fixit said. "It'll have to do. Jack, Fowler called you, it's your call." Bumblebee said. "Right. Autobots, Nebula Rangers, let's Rev Up and Roll Out!" Jack ordered. Team Bee transformed into their vehicle modes and let their human companions aboard as Fixit activated the Ground Bridge, and drove right through it. "Hopefully, they'll reach their destination." Fixit said with worry.
Later, somewhere in the forest, the Ground Bridge opened. Team Bee drove out of it as it closed and headed towards the location of the crash site. "There it is." Bumblebee said, spotting the ship up ahead. As Team Bee stopped, they let the Nebula Rangers out before they transformed. Arcee walked up to the ship and examined it. "Well, it's definitely Cybertronian. But it looks like an older model." She said. "I think we should check it out inside." Strongarm suggested. "Agreed. Everyone, be on your guard for anything that might be hostile." Bumblebee said. The team carefully entered the ship and looked around. But there was no one around. "The whole ship's completely empty." Mirage said. "Do you think the crew was killed in the crash?" Miko asked. "I don't think so. To start, there aren't any bodies in this ship." Smokescreen said. As they continued going forward, continuing their investigation, they reached the stasis chamber. "Look around. See if there's any Cybertronians in those stasis pods." Arcee ordered. Everyone checked the pods one by one. But most of them were empty. Just then, Smokescreen found 2 pods that were occupied. One of them was small, like it could fit a Mini-Con. "Guys, I think I found 2 occupied pods." He called. The team hurried over. "Who do you think's inside those pods?" Jack asked. "We're about to find out." Arcee said. Just then, as she said that, the pods suddenly started to open up and released their prisoners. The big one appeared to be a female white and red nurse-themed Cybertronian and the little one appeared to be a female pastel purple Mini-Con that looked identical to Fixit.
The nurse Cybertronian groaned as she slowly woke up, focusing her optics on Bumblebee and Arcee. "Ugh. Bee? Arcee? Is that you?" She asked. "No way. It can't be." Arcee said in shock. "I thought she was lost forever." Bumblebee said. "Ugh. I must be hearing things. It sounds like Bumblebee's voice." The nurse Cybertronian groaned. "No, it is my voice. I got it back." Bumblebee said. The nurse Cybertronian groaned as she stepped out of the pod, revealing to have the Autobot insignia on her skirt. "Is it really you?" She asked. "It is us. It's so good to see you again, Red Alert." Arcee said with a smile, happy to see her again. "Wait, did you say…Red Alert?" Smokescreen asked in surprised. "That's right. Red Alert was Ratchet's assistant back during the war." Arcee said. "But what about this Mini-Con? Why does she look like Fixit?" Grimlock asked curiously. "My name's Volley, Red Alert's assistant. And did you say Fixit? We're actually the same model Mini-Con and he happens to be a good friend of mine." The Mini-Con, named Volley, said. Just then, Red Alert gasped as she realized something. She picked up Volley and ran out of the stasis chamber. "Where are they going?" Mirage asked. The team shrugged. "We should follow them. There might be something important for those 2 when they just took off like that." Bumblebee said before following them with Arcee. The team looked at each other before deciding to follow too.
Red Alert, with Volley in her hands, ran down the hallway. "Red Alert, what's wrong? You're jiggling my actuators!" Volley cried from all the shaking during the running. "I just recalled that very important request from Optimus Prime and Elita One to keep their little star safe!" Red Alert said. "How did I forget that?!" Volley gasped. Then, Red Alert reached a door and opened it. As they entered the room, there was a large stasis pod shaped like a cube in the middle of the room. "Volley, check her system." Red Alert said with worry as she put her Mini-Con down and walked up to the cube. Volley rolled up to the cube's console and activated it. As she was checking it, the team walked in and saw that they were checking over the cube. "What are they doing? And what's with that stasis pod? I've never seen one like that before." Sideswipe said. "Your guess is as good as mine." Bumblebee said. Volley sighed in relief as she finished her check on the cube's systems. "She's fine. No sign of any problems." She said. Red Alert sighed in relief before she noticed the team. "Uh, Red Alert, what's with that strange cube?" Arcee asked as she walked up to Red Alert. "It's very important. Volley and I were on an important task, requested by Optimus Prime and Elita One themselves to keep it away from any known dangers." Red Alert said. The team was surprised to hear that. "What's exactly inside that cube?" Strongarm asked. "I'm sorry, but that's classified." Volley said. "Why is it classified?" Gears asked with suspicion. "Now's not the time to explain. Think you guys can escort us back to your base so we can move the cube there for safe keeping?" Red Alert asked.
Meanwhile, outside the spaceship, MECH agents were watching the ship, hidden deep within the forest. One of the agents called Draven on the phone. "Sir, you were correct. The Autobots and the Nebula Rangers have uncovered something within that ship." He said. "Excellent. Prepare the ambush. Whatever they have…take it from them." Draven ordered.
Back at the spaceship, Team Bee and the Nebula Rangers carefully hooked the stasis cube onto Grimlock's trailer. "Is it secured?" Red Alert asked as she walked up. "All set and ready for transport." Strongarm said. As they finished, they pushed the trailer out of the spaceship. "Fixit, open up the Ground Bridge and bring us home." Bumblebee said, getting Fixit on the com-link. But suddenly, he received a shocking pain, making him flinch. "Bee, are you okay? What's wrong?" Cinderray asked. "I'm fine. But I can't reach Fixit. Something's blocking the com-link." Bumblebee said. "If we can't reach Fixit, then we don't have any other choice but to drive all the way back to the scrapyard." Arcee said. The team nodded to each other, not aware that MECH was responsible for blocking out their com-links and preventing them from Ground Bridging back. "Alright, Autobots, let's Rev Up and Roll Out." Bumblebee said. Team Bee transformed into vehicle mode and let their human companions in. Red Alert transformed into a Cybertronian ambulance and let Volley into her driver's seat. As they drove off with Grimlock pulling his trailer with the stasis cube. The MECH agents watched as they drove down the road. "Alright. Begin the ambush." The squad leader said.
As Team Bee drove down the road, Skyblade flew overhead for observation. "Anything ahead, Skyblade?" Bumblebee asked. "Nothing. We should be free and clear, boss." Skyblade said. Arcee rode up next to Red Alert. "So, Red, what exactly is that stasis cube? And who's inside it?" Arcee asked. "I can't tell you, Arcee. Volley and I were given a strict order not to reveal who's inside." Red Alert said. "Actually, I overheard Volley mention a she back at the ship. So, that means the stasis cube contains a female Cybertronian." Jack said. "You're half right. Except that she isn't a Cybertronian. She's a different and special being, like no one has ever known." Red Alert said. Bumblebee, having overheard, drove up to them. "What do you mean by that?" He asked. But before Red Alert could reply, a missile came out of nowhere and nearly hit Team Bee in the process. "WHOA! What was that?!" Shawn shouted in shock. Strongarm looked through her rear mirror and saw several green cars coming up from behind. "We got company! MECH!" She exclaimed. "What do those guys want?!" Mirage asked. "No doubt that they're after whoever's inside that stasis cube." Sideswipe said. "Team, keep MECH away from the stasis cube and protect it at all costs!" Bumblebee ordered. Team Bee sped up as the MECH cars chased after them.
"Who on Cybertron are these guys?" Red Alert asked. "Yeah, I thought humans didn't know about Cybertronians." Skyblade said, not knowing about MECH. "They're called MECH, a group of terrorist humans who're obsessed with Cybertronian technology. They once tried to gut me and took Bumblebee's T-Cog last time we were on Earth." Arcee said. "And they're after whoever's in the stasis cube." Jack said. Volley gasped in horror at that. "They mustn't have it! I fear that they'll do something very bad to her if they wake her up." She said in fear. Just then, MECH's cars' rooftops opened as blasters are drawn and opened fire. "Look out!" Knock Out yelled as he drove left and right to avoid the blaster fire before speeding up to catch up with the team. The squad leader pressed a button on his dashboard and called Draven on the video phone. "Sir, the Autobots and the Nebula Rangers are transporting the stasis cube back to their base. Permission to bring in our new Cybertronian warriors?" He asked. "Granted. Take them for a test." Draven said. The squad leader chuckled sinisterly as he pressed another button on the dashboard.
Team Bee continued to speed up in attempt to lose the MECH cars. "Are they still behind us?" Miko asked. Jack looked behind, but saw that the MECH cars were slowing down. "Huh? Why are they slowing down?" He asked. Just then, more MECH cars showed up in front of them. Suddenly, to the team's shock, the cars transformed into Vehicon robot forms! "Vehicons! They actually created their own Vehicons?!" Smokescreen exclaimed in shock. The Vehicons drew their own blasters and opened fire. "Scatter!" Bumblebee ordered. As the Vehicons continued firing, the Nebula Rangers got out as Team Bee transformed to take action. "Red, Volley, protect the stasis cube! We'll handle MECH and their new Vehicon toys!" Arcee ordered. Red Alert and Volley took cover with the stasis cube as Team Bee and the Nebula Rangers engaged the Vehicons. Red Alert and Volley watched as their friends fought the Vehicons. "Shouldn't we help them, Red Alert?" Volley asked. "No. We have to protect the stasis cube from these MECH guys." Red Alert said.
Meanwhile, back at the battle, the MECH agents drove up. "Agents, prepare the EMP gun!" The squad leader ordered. The agents got out their EMP gun and aimed it directly at Team Bee as it powered up. Jack destroyed a Vehicon with a cosmic blast before he noticed the agents with the EMP gun. "LOOK OUT!" He shouted a little too late as the EMP gun fired. Cinderray, Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Skyblade saw the blast and leapt out of the way. But unfortunately, Bumblebee and the others got caught in the blast and collapsed as their systems shut down. "The Autobots are shut down! Quickly, take out the Rangers!" The squad leader ordered. The agents brought out what appeared to be a large advanced cannon weapon. "What is that thing?" Henry asked. "I don't know-" Jack started to say, but got cut off when the cannon fired a blast towards the Rangers, releasing a strong shockwave that knocked them all down and out. "Rangers!" Cinderray cried in shock.
With Team Bee and the Nebula Rangers down, Cinderray, Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Skyblade saw that they were the only ones left. "You have no chance, Autobots! You're outnumbered! If you want to live, just hand us over that stasis cube!" The squad leader ordered through a megaphone. "Not gonna happen!" Sideswipe exclaimed. "Very well then. Take them out!" The squad leader ordered. The Vehicons readied their blasters and opened fire. Cinderray, Smokescreen and Sideswipe quickly took cover as Skyblade used her helicopter blades to deflect the blasts.
Red Alert and Volley watched with worry, seeing most of their allies down and only 4 of them still standing and fighting against MECH's Vehicons. "Oh, what can we do?! We can't do anything with just those 4 battling those Vehicons!" Volley exclaimed while panicking. Red Alert started to think of something, but then she looked at the stasis cube, making her come up with an idea. "Volley, wake her up." She said. "What?! No! That's against Optimus and Elita's order!" Volley protested. "We don't have any other choice. Wake her up right now before things get worse." Red Alert said strictly. Volley hurried over to the stasis cube's console as she hurried typed something on it. "Oh, I'm gonna regret this." She said. On the screen reads a Cybertronian language and began the awakening process.
Meanwhile, back at the battle, Cinderray split herself into 2 and took down several Vehicons. Smokescreen punched and kicked down several other Vehicons. Sideswipe used his sword to slicing and dicing every Vehicons that came his way. Skyblade joined him, slicing the Vehicons with her blades. "We can't hold them down much longer!" Smokescreen exclaimed as he punched away an incoming Vehicon in his way.
Meanwhile, back with Red Alert and Volley, they were waiting for the awakening process to finish. "Hurry up! There isn't much time left!" Volley exclaimed. Suddenly, she heard Red Alert yell. She turned around and is horrified to see Red Alert on the ground, being taken down by 3 Vehicons that managed to pass by the Cinderrays, Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Skyblade. Then, several MECH agents walked up with their weapons ready and aimed at Volley. "Give it up. You have no chance, but to hand over that stasis cube." The squad leader said. Volley felt worried, frightened and panicked. But then, she glanced over to the screen to see the awakening progress was finally complete. She smirked as she looked back at the MECH agents. "You won't have it." She said. Suddenly, right on cue, the stasis cube began to activate, surprising the MECH agents. Just then, the stasis cube opened up, releasing a cold mist from it. And then, a silhouette of a female being emerged, stepping out from it. Once the cold mist cleared, it revealed a young, beautiful girl with long darkish blue hair tied in unmatched twin pigtails; the left being shorter while the right being longer. Her skin was white and her eyes were azure blue with white pupils and white circular patterns in them. She appeared to be wearing blue, red and pink robotic armor mixed between Optimus' and Elita's. The MECH agents were shocked by her appearance. "You guys are in trouble now. Gentlemen, I wanna introduce you to my friend. Octavia Prime, daughter of Optimus Prime and Elita One." Volley introduced.
Octavia looked to see MECH and their Vehicons for the first time. "Enemy in sight." She said. She equipped herself with a battle mask and helmet before charging towards MECH. "Blast her!" The squad leader ordered. The MECH agents and the Vehicons started firing their blasters. But Octavia gracefully dodged the blaster fire and started taking down the MECH agents with impressive combat skills. After taking them down, she turned her attention to the Vehicons as they continued their assault. As she dodged each blast, she held out her left arm. Suddenly, pieces began to manifest around her arm. The pieces merged together to form a highly advanced cannon. She took aim at the Vehicons and fired a barrage of cyber blasts, disposing of the Vehicons in a matter of seconds. Once the smoke cleared from the destruction, she looked over and saw the Cinderrays, Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Skyblade battling the other MECH agents and Vehicons. "Autobots in danger." She said as she moved in to help.
Meanwhile, both halves of Cinderray, Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Skyblade were getting pummeled by the Vehicons. The MECH agents just laughed as they were forced to their knees. "Let's finish them." One of the agents said. The agents and Vehicons took aim at the 5 Cybertronians and prepared to kill them. Suddenly, Octavia ran up and leapt at the agents, kicking one of them in the chest and knocking him down. "What the?!" The agent on the right exclaimed in surprise before Octavia grabbed him and threw him at a tree, breaking his spine as he hit the trunk. As the last agent turned his blaster on her, Octavia kicked the blaster out of his hands and karate chop his neck, breaking it. The agent held his broken neck before he collapsed to the ground…dead. As the Vehicons took aim at her and prepared to fire, Octavia leapt up as pieces manifested around her right arm and formed a blade. She swiped her blade at the Vehicons in one swift movement and as she landed, their heads fell off before they collapsed. The Cinderrays, Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Skyblade looked at her in awe.
As the squad leader recovered, he regrouped with the surviving agents and Vehicons. "Retreat! Retreat!" He exclaimed in a panic. He and the agents got back in their cars while the Vehicons transformed back to vehicle mode as they all retreated. The Cinderrays, Smokescreen, Sideswipe and Skyblade walked up to Octavia as her blade disappeared. "Thanks for your help." Sideswipe said. "I did what I had to do for my new friends." Octavia said. Smokescreen just stared at her, feeling an attracting feeling in his spark towards her, and yet, also feeling something familiar about her. Just then, Team Bee groaned as they started to recover and come back online. The Nebula Rangers also groaned as they started recovering too. "What happened? What went on while we were out?" Bumblebee asked. Just then, he noticed Octavia. "Uh…" "I think it's best to explain everything when we get back to the scrapyard." Cinderray said, having her halves merged back together. "Yes. I think that would be best." Red Alert said, having recovered as well.
Later, as the team returned to the scrapyard, Red Alert and Volley told them everything that had happened. The team was quite shocked to learn that Octavia was the daughter of Optimus Prime and Elita One. "We didn't know Optimus had a daughter." Bumblebee said. "I don't think anyone did." Arcee said. The team shook their heads as they agreed. "Red Alert, Volley, how did you 2 know about Octavia's existence?" Strongarm asked. "There was a special reason behind Octavia's birth. She's not just a Sparkling that Optimus and Elita bore from their sparks. She's a techno-organic." Red Alert revealed. That made Team Bee gasp in shock. "But…But techno-organics are just a crypt-*glitch*-a pith-*glitch*-a myth!" Fixit said, glitching out again. "That's what most Cybertronians thought. But Octavia's the first techno-organic in existence." Volley said. "Only a select few Cybertronians knew about Octavia's existence. The Primes, her parents, me and Volley, and Ratchet." Red Alert said. "Ratchet?" Arcee asked in surprise. "Yes. We were keeping her existence a secret due to the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Volley and I were given a task by Optimus Prime and Elita One themselves. We were to be sent off-world with their little Sparkling to ensure her safety as the war was getting worse and worse than before. And that was the last time we ever saw them before we entered stasis." Red Alert explained. The team was all stunned to hear that. "That…is a lot to take in." Sideswipe said.
"Excuse me, by the way, where are my parents? I can't sense their sparks." Octavia said. Bumblebee and Arcee looked at each other with sadness before looking back at her. "They're not here, Octavia." Bumblebee said. "They're dead." Arcee added. Octavia was shocked to hear this and saddened that her parents were dead. "Your mother was strong and a great leader to all female Autobots before she died in action." Arcee said. "And your father was a great leader to all Autobots before he sacrificed himself to restore Cybertron." Bumblebee said. Octavia gave a small smile at that. "My parents were very strong warriors. I wanted to be just like them when I was still young, watching them battling the Decepticons." She said. "Octavia, Arcee and I are prepared to offer you the role as leader of this team since you're a Prime." Bumblebee said. "That's a kind offer of you, Bumblebee. But I can't. I'm not ready to be a leader yet. But I'd be more than happy to join your team so I can learn more about Earth." Octavia said. The team got very excited about this. "I can't believe it! We're getting a Prime on the team!" Strongarm said excitedly. "I know! It's amazing!" Mirage squealed. "Welcome to the team, Octavia." Bumblebee said, giving Octavia little handshake.
As Octavia walked over to get acquainted with the team, Red Alert walked up to Bumblebee and Arcee. "Let me guess. You and Volley gonna stick around too so you can watch over her?" Arcee asked. "Yes. And while watching over her is part of the job, it'll be so good to work with you guys again. I've really missed our time together back on Cybertron." Red Alert said. "You're more than welcome, old friend." Bumblebee said, giving Red Alert a side-hug. "Though, it might take me a while to get used to having a couple of Decepticons around." Red Alert said, gesturing to Knock Out and Skyblade as both of them talk to Octavia in a friendly way. "Don't worry. Skyblade and Knock Out are real team players." Arcee said. "Yeah. Though it did take us a while to get used to having Knock Out around." Bumblebee said, making Arcee and Red Alert chuckle.
Meanwhile, at MECH's secret base, after the surviving squad members and Vehicons returned, they gave their report to Draven. "So…the one who was inside the stasis cube…was a Prime." He said with an interest. "Not just any Prime, sir. The Mini-Con said that she was the daughter of Optimus Prime himself." The squad leader said. "Ah, yes. The Prime who destroyed our beloved leader and founder, Silas. We may have lost our prize today, but MECH will always get another shot. And we will not stop until we have what we desire." Draven said with a sinister smile.
Meanwhile, back in the Realm of the Primes, Optimus and Elita were still standing at the edge together. Suddenly, their sparks started glowing. "Optimus, I haven't felt something like this in a long time." Elita said, feeling surprised. "It means that our beloved Sparkling has finally awakened and is ready to face the challenges she's prepared to face." Optimus said. They looked up at the stars as they both smiled, knowing that their beloved Sparkling was ready to face the dangers that she will come across.
WOW! Tell me that was the biggest surprise you readers were not expecting. Optimus Prime, in the Realm of the Primes, was greeted by his old lover, Elita One. Meanwhile, Team Bee and the Nebula Rangers were sent to investigate another Cybertronian ship that had crash-landed in the forest outside the city. And when they got there, they found an old friend, Red Alert, along with her identical pastel purple Fixit Mini-Con, Volley. While helping them transport a stasis cube back to the scrapyard, MECH ambushed them, accompanied by their new Vehicons. But when things started looking bad, Red Alert and Volley released who was in the stasis cube, Optimus and Elita's Sparkling daughter, Octavia Prime. Octavia defeated MECH and saves the team. After returning to the scrapyard, learning Octavia's origin and telling her about her parents, Octavia chose to join the team. Not as the leader since she wasn't ready for that position. But will Optimus and Elita ever see their little girl again? What did MECH possibly want with Octavia? Leave a review if you'd like.
