Chapter 17: Nature Calls

Russell was in the hidden area of the forest where he found his creature friend to check on them. It had been 2 weeks since he found them after the incident with Ped, and since the new arrivals of Red Alert, Volley and Octavia Prime. But for the past 2 weeks, Russell learned from his creature friend that they can talk, which shocked him. Solaris and Skull, whom Russell named each head, told him that they were called a Death Liger, the Justicar, and came from an alternate dimension known as the Kaiju Realm, where many creatures like them lived. When Russell asked how they came to the human world, Solaris and Skull explained that they got captured by strange humans in suits. They managed to escape, but their right front leg got injured in the process when the strange suited humans tried to prevent them from escaping. That was when they met Russell.

Back in the present, Russell looked over Solaris and Skull's injury on their right front leg. It was completely healed thanks to Russell's care. "Your leg looks all better now." Russell said. "We thank you for treating our wound, Russell. We've really grown fond of you and your kindness." Solaris said. Suddenly, Skull started sniffing the air. "I smell a creature." He said. "Where?" Russell asked. "It's somewhere in the forest. And yet, I smell something…familiar and dangerous. Russell, it's best if you return home now, for your safety." Skull said. "But I can't just leave you guys here." Russell protested. "We'll be fine. We're a Skyforce/Shadow Champion hybrid. We can handle ourselves when we fight in a duel." Solaris assured. Russell was hesitant for a moment. "Okay. But promise me that you guys keep out of trouble if you encounter this creature Skull mentioned." He said. "We promise." Solaris and Skull said simultaneously. Russell gives them each a pat on their heads before leaving to return to the scrapyard.

A while later, as Russell returns to the scrapyard, Hank walked up to him. "Where've you been, Rusty?" She asked. "I was just walking out in the forest." Russell said. "Mmm-hmm." Hank said, raising her eyebrow with a smile, seemingly knowing he was lying. "So, where are the Nebula Rangers?" Russell asked as he looked around and saw that the Nebula Rangers weren't here. "They headed back to their HQ for something important." Hank said. "And what's that?" Russell asked. "I'm not sure. That's grown-up stuff and all." Hank said.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the forest, a large, shadowy serpent-like creature was swimming in the river, letting out a soothing sound before it disappeared within the depths.

Meanwhile, Octavia was wandering around the scrapyard's aisles, looking through Denny's collection. When not out on a mission or battle, Octavia was given some human clothes by Katie in case she goes out in public since wearing Cybertronian armor would draw a lot of attention by other humans, thinking that she was some sort of alien, which she was. Octavia agreed as she deactivated her armor to reveal she wore a silver metal bodysuit. She put on the outfit, now wearing a red and pink t-shirt, a dark blue miniskirt, white long socks and a pair of blue and red sporty shoes. She also has some accessories given to her by Katie. A baby pink blossom flower hairclip on the left side of her head, a silver necklace with a gold charm in the shape of an Autobot insignia and a white flower bracelet on her right wrist. "Interesting. How Denny was able to keep all these." She said, examining a collection of antique pocket watches. Just then, her attention was caught by a strange-looking house shed. "Hmm…" She walked over to the shed, opened the door and walked in. "I wonder what's in here." She said. Inside the shed was full of books with a medium-sized rectangle window on the left side and an old couch that looked like it was from somewhere between the 1700s or 1800s next to the window. Octavia looked around curiously until she spotted 5 particular books on the shelf. Reaching up, she grabbed them and looked at the titles.

Book 1: The Fire Nation

Book 2: The Water Nation

Book 3: The Light Nation

Book 4: The Darkness Nation

Book 5: The Nature Nation

"These look interesting." Octavia said, taking an interest in the books. She walked up to the couch and sat down. She picked up the book about the Nature Nation, carefully opened it and revealed the first page. "Nature grows stronger together." She said, reading the 4 words on the page. Getting more curious and interested, she starts reading the book on each page.

Meanwhile, at the command center, Fixit was looking through the prisoner manifest, checking off every prisoner Team Bee has caught or still needs to catch. He looked at Ped's mugshot. "Got him." He switched to Quillfire's mugshot. "Got him." He then switched to Fracture's mugshot. "Still have to catch." "Octavia!" Volley's voice called. Fixit looked over and saw Volley looking around for Octavia and calling her name. "Fixit, have you seen Octavia?" Volley asked. "I just saw her going through Denny Clay's miles-*glitch*-piles-*glitch*-aisles!" Fixit said. "Thanks. But I think I'm gonna need some company since I still need to get used to my new surroundings." Volley said. Just then, Russell and Hank walked up. "We can accompany you, Volley." Russell said. "Yeah, we know our way all over the scrapyard." Hank said. "Oh, thank you both. You 2 are life savers." Volley said. With that, the 3 of them started going through the aisles. Just then, Hank spotted the shed with the door left open. "Russell, Volley, I think Octavia might be in that shed." She said. They walked over to the shed, looked inside and saw Octavia, still sitting on the couch while still reading the Nature Nation. "Octavia." Volley gently called. Octavia looked up from her book and saw her 3 friends standing in the doorway. "Hello, friends." She greeted. "What're you doing in here?" Russell asked as he, Hank and Volley went over to her. "I found this shed while I was wandering around the aisles. Then I decided to read after Katie taught me about books and how to read. As well as learning much more about Earth culture." Octavia explained. "I've been learning as well since me, Octavia and Red Alert only came here a week ago. Especially about the Nebula Rangers and Hank's powers." Volley said. Suddenly, as she just said that, Hank's eyes started to glow as she sees a vision.

[Vision]

Team Bee was fighting a female scarlet Cybertronian in the appearance of a wolf, similar to Steeljaw, with the Decepticon insignia. But then, the fight was interrupted when something big erupted from the river they were next to, revealing itself to be some sort of dragon made out of wood. It roared at the team and the wolf Decepticon as it attacked them, snapping its jaws down at them.

[Vision End]

Hank gasped as the vision left her completely shocked. "Hank, what's wrong? What did you see?" Russell asked with worry for his friend. But before Hank could explain, the alarm went off. "Team Bee, I have detected a Decepticon signal!" Fixit called over the com-links.

Later, Team Bee headed out to where the Decepticon signal was located. Red Alert had recently scanned an Earth ambulance after their previous run-in with MECH. "Alright, team, Fixit said that the Decepticon signal was located near the river a few miles from the scrapyard." Bumblebee said. "Hopefully, this Con will surrender instead of resisting arrest." Strongarm said. "I wouldn't bet on it, Strongarm. A lot of the Cons we've faced are pretty stubborn about fighting Autobots." Sideswipe said. "Hmm, yeah, you're probably right." Strongarm said. "We're about to find out. We're coming up on the river right now." Arcee said.

As the team arrived at the river, they met the Decepticon, a female scarlet wolf Cybertronian. "I was beginning to think my presence had gone unnoticed." The Decepticon said as Team Bee transformed. "Hands up, Decepticon. Identify yourself." Bumblebee said as the team got ready to fight. "You may address me as…Sharpclaw." The Decepticon, named Sharpclaw, introduced as she turned around. "Sharpclaw? I know you. You're Steeljaw's sister." Mirage said, recognizing Sharpclaw. "Very good. Now if you Autobots will kindly direct me to where I can find my dear brother, I'll be on my way." Sharpclaw said. "The only place you'll be reuniting with your brother, Sharpclaw, is back in your stasis pod." Arcee said. "Oh, very well. Since you put it like that…" Sharpclaw said, extending her claws. "…I'll just have to tear you APART!" She lunged for the team and pounced on Bumblebee, knocking him down. "Hey!" Arcee exclaimed, aiming her blaster at Sharpclaw. But Sharpclaw swatted Arcee with her tail, knocking her down. "Take her down!" Strongarm exclaimed. The rest of Team Bee started to attack, but Sharpclaw, having the same fighting skills as Steeljaw, managed to take each of them down one by one. "All you had to do was show me to my brother. It didn't have to end like this." Sharpclaw said as Team Bee groaned in pain.

"You forgot someone. Me." Octavia said as she walked up. "Oh, please. Why would I waste my time with a mere human?" Sharpclaw asked, uninterested. "Oh, I'm more than a mere human." Octavia said, donning her armor and equipping her helmet and battle mask. "What?! You're a techno-organic?!" Sharpclaw exclaimed, shocked. "Indeed. And more importantly…I am Octavia Prime, daughter of Optimus Prime." Octavia said. Sharpclaw snarled before leaping towards her. But Octavia leapt up and gave Sharpclaw a powerful kick to her face with both feet, knocking her down. "That all you got?" Octavia asked in a calm tone. Sharpclaw growled and started to attack again. But then, Octavia grabbed her right index claw and started slamming her left and right. "How can a little techno-organic be so strong?!" Sharpclaw exclaimed in pain. "I'll show you how." Octavia said. She lifted Sharpclaw into the air and started spinning her at a rapid pace. "WHOA! PUT ME DOWN!" Sharpclaw cried. "Okay." Octavia simply said. She threw Sharpclaw near the river. Sharpclaw groaned as she recovered, but found herself pinned down by Octavia as she aimed her Cyber Cannon at her face. "And we warned you, you're under arrest." Octavia said.

Suddenly, something burst out of the river, startling everyone as they recovered. It revealed itself to be a dragon-like creature made of wood. "What is that thing?!" Smokescreen yelled. The dragon let out a ferocious roar before it started to attack them.

"Scatter!" Bumblebee ordered. Team Bee scattered, avoiding the dragon's attack. Just then, the dragon turned its attention on Arcee. "Oh boy." Arcee said with a hint of worry. The dragon lunged towards her with its mouth open wide. But Arcee quickly jumped to the right, dodging it. But then, the dragon switched its target to Strongarm and immediately charged towards her. "Strongarm, look out!" Sideswipe shouted. Strongarm barely dodged the dragon's attack. Sharpclaw saw her chance to escape and started to make a run for it. But then, she was stopped and blocked by Grimlock, Knock Out and Skyblade. "Going somewhere, Con?" Grimlock asked as he pounded his fist into his other hand. Sharpclaw growled. "Knock Out! Skyblade! Why are you 2 helping the Autobots?! Why would you turn on your own kind?!" She asked in anger. "We have our reasons." Skyblade said. "Honorable reasons." Knock Out said. "I used to be a Decepticon too. But I got my insignia changed to the Autobots." Grimlock said, showing his Autobot insignia. "Traitors!" Sharpclaw exclaimed. "We don't care if we're traitors. We fight for the Autobots now." Skyblade said, shrugging off the traitor comment. "Get her!" Grimlock roared as they engaged the fight against Sharpclaw.

Meanwhile, the rest of Team Bee continued dodging the dragon's attacks, trying to figure out how to beat it. Octavia, however, was sitting in a tree as she watched the team getting a bit difficult while observing the dragon. 'I know that dragon. I saw a picture of it in that Nature book I was reading earlier. The Ironvine. An Earthstrike Dragon.' She thought. "Octavia! We need your help down here now!" Bumblebee called, interrupting Octavia's thoughts before he got swatted by Ironvine's tail. "Fighting this thing isn't working. There's gotta be something to stop it." Octavia said as she thought hard until suddenly, an idea hit her. "That's it!" She leapt out of the tree and started walking towards the Ironvine, making it turn its attention on her. "You don't have to fight, Ironvine." She said in a calm tone. The Ironvine became confused. "We're not enemies. We all live in the same value of nature as you do." Octavia said as she slowly raised her right hand. Team Bee watched in awe at what she was doing. Gears raised his blaster, seeing his chance to shoot. But Arcee blocked the blaster and ripped it from his hand, much to his annoyance. "I know how you feel, Ironvine. You're confused as to being in a new world unknown from your own. But I can show it to you." Octavia said. She closed her eyes and turned away, waiting for the response. Ironvine slowly moved towards Octavia's hand, stared at it curiously for a minute and then…it pressed its snout against it. The team was amazed by this. But during this distraction, Sharpclaw made a break for the river. "I'll see you again, Autobots." She said before leaping into the river and disappeared under the water. "Looks like Sharpclaw got away." Knock Out said as Team Bee gathered around the river. "Don't worry. I have a feeling we'll get another shot at her." Bumblebee said.

With the Ironvine situation dealt with and Sharpclaw escaped, Team Bee returned to the scrapyard. As they arrived at the command center, the Nebula Rangers were there with Fixit, Volley, Hank and the Clay family, having returned from their HQ. "Hey, guys, welcome back. How'd the mission go?" Jack asked. "We failed to catch Sharpclaw. If it weren't for the dragon when it suddenly showed up and attacked us." Arcee said. "Uh…what is a dragon?" Fixit asked as she mentioned that. He got his answer when a large shadow loomed over the command center. He, Volley, Hank, the Clay family and the Nebula Rangers looked up and became shocked to see Ironvine, who was looking down at them with a curious look. Octavia was sitting on its head. "PREDACON!" Fixit yelled in terror, freaking out in a panic, mistaking the Ironvine for a Predacon. The Nebula Rangers readied themselves with their powers to fight. "No! Stop! The dragon is harmless and friendly." Bumblebee said as he quickly stopped them. "Even though before, it was a hostile and aggressive beast, and responsible for Sharpclaw escaping." Gears muttered. Strongarm elbowed him to shut him up.

Later, Team Bee filled Fixit, Volley, Hank, the Clay family and the Nebula Rangers in about what happened during their mission. As they talked, Octavia was looking over the Ironvine, who had grown fond of the young Prime, from the west side of the scrapyard to stay hidden. Just then, Smokescreen walked up, having been sent by Arcee to check on Octavia. "I can see that this dragon has taken a liking to you, Octavia." He said. "Taming a creature like this earns you its trust and loyalty. This creature is called an Ironvine. And it's actually a she." Octavia said. "But how did you know what species she was?" Smokescreen asked, a bit surprised. "I learned about them from a book I was reading in the shed called the Nature Nation. It contains many different wonderful creatures. Thus, Ironvine is one of them." Octavia explained. Ironvine nuzzled Octavia in affection as she patted her head. "I think I'll name you…Sundew, named after a carnivorous plant I learned about from Katie about Earth's plant life." The Ironvine, now named Sundew, growled softly as she likes her new name. "She likes the name." Smokescreen said as he watched Sundew continue nuzzling Octavia before licking her face, making her chuckle.

Meanwhile, down the river, Sharpclaw finally emerged from the water after flowing down the river for some time. As she tiredly crawled out of the river, someone walked up to her. She slowly raised her head to gaze upon the very face she had been looking for. "Steeljaw?" She said. "I've been wondering when I'd be seeing you again, little sister." Steeljaw said, offering his hand. Sharpclaw chuckled sinisterly as she raised her hand and took it.

Oh, man! How was that? As Russell continues looking after his new friends, Solaris and Skull, Octavia finds books about the 5 Creature Civilizations. But suddenly, as Team Bee has a close encounter with Steeljaw's sister, Sharpclaw, a giant Ironvine Dragon appeared and attacked them. But Octavia, using what she learned in her books, tamed the Ironvine Dragon, naming her Sundew. But Sharpclaw managed to escape and met up with her brother. What diabolical schemes will Steeljaw think of next? Will Team Bee encounter other Kaijudo creatures like Sundew or Solaris and Skull? Leave a review if you want
