Day 3
Just a Little White Lie
Journey
(Kyon's Sister, Mamoru, Ruby, Ui)
The group of four players sit around that morning talking to each other in the shelter.
"You know, we really ought to make an alliance with each other," Mamoru says.
"Sounds great!" Kyon's Sister says.
"But how would it work if we're all on different tribes?" Ruby asks.
"Silly, we wait until the merge happens!" Ui says. "And when it does, we then all come together as an alliance."
"I think we ought to bring in extra people!" Mamoru says. "My closest friend out here is Rinrin. She can join our alliance at the merge too!"
"Mine is Misty!" Kyon's Sister says. "She can be part of it too!"
"Hmmm…" Ruby says. "I don't really know any of my tribemates that well yet. If I had to say someone, it'd be Kirino."
"And I'm friends with Tsukasa!" Ui says. "We'll bring in her too!"
"Great!" Mamoru says. "That gives us a 'Super Alliance' of eight! Now we just stick together till the merge!"
"My idea of bringing in extras to make us a 'Super Alliance' only works if the other girls do what they say they'll do, and if they survive long enough," Mamoru says. "But if it works, we could have a 'Super Alliance' at the merge where we chop down the field to eight, then all go at it once we've reached there."
"I'm not sure about this whole 'Super Alliance' thing," Ui says. "I think it's too early in the game to be thinking about that. But, what do I know? My sister Yui didn't do very well!"
"Well, it's about time we go our separate ways!" Ruby says. "We've all now got to go on a journey. I'll see you all at the immunity challenge!"
"See you, Ruby!" Kyon's Sister calls.
"Let me give you a big hug," Mamoru says, picking up Kyon's Sister and squeezing her tight.
"Have a good time!" Ui says, as the four split up down different paths.
The camera follows Ui down the path, where she eventually reaches a table with puzzle pieces on it.
"Let's see what this says here," Ui says. "You have a choice: try to solve this puzzle, which you will need to make into a perfect cube, or choose to leave the challenge alone. If you try to solve the puzzle, you will have half an hour to solve it in order to win an advantage in this game. But if you try to solve and do not solve it in time, you lost your vote at your next Tribal Council. If you walk away and return to camp, you keep your vote but do not get an advantage."
"Cool!" Ui says. "I'm going for this advantage!"
She tips over the hourglass and starts to work on her puzzle.
…
Meanwhile, Ruby takes one look at her puzzle at turns it down.
"No way am I doing that!" she says. "That puzzle is way too difficult for me. I'm just going to stay the course and keep my vote. If I missed out on something cool, that's too bad, but I know I had no chance of completing that puzzle!"
…
Not so much an easy decision on Kyon's Sister's part.
"I don't know what to do," she says. "Should I risk it? What's that term they say? 'Don't risk it, no biscuit'? Well, it's something like that. I'm going to go for it!"
Kyon's Sister turns over the hourglass and starts working on her puzzle.
…
"Yahoo!"
Mamoru not only has chosen to try the puzzle, but…
"I solved it! In five minutes flat!" she says. "I've got an advantage of some sort. Let's see what it is!"
Mamoru picks up the scroll of paper waiting for her.
"Congratulations, you have found the Legacy Advantage," she reads. "You may use this as you would a hidden immunity idol when there are 13 people left, or when there are six people left. If you get voted out before using it, you must bequeath it to another player."
She bites her lip.
"All right, this is something at least," she says. "I gotta make sure I use it correctly. I hear someone in a previous season completely forgot about it, and no one even mentioned it. That's not happening with me. I'm going to use it whenever I can."
…
Meanwhile, both Ui and Kyon's Sister's hourglasses have run out.
"Crap!" Ui shouts. "Man, I really wanted that advantage! Now I'm out a vote!"
Kyon's Sister is similarly displeased.
"I really hope losing this vote doesn't come back to haunt me big-time," she says. "Now I've got to make sure that Misty and Kohaku have my back."
Princess Tribe
(Alexia, Komachi, Mamoru, Rinrin, Sasami, Yotsuba)
Mamoru comes back to camp waving her arms.
"Great," Alexia mumbles under her breath. "She must have gotten some sort of advantage."
"Hi, guys!" Mamoru says. "You won't believe what happened on that journey!"
"Oh, please tell," Komachi says.
"Well, we all went off on our own journeys, all four of us," Mamoru says. "And then we had the choice of doing two puzzles. If we could solve one, we'd win an extra vote. If we could solve two, we'd win the Superidol! And that's what I got, a Superidol! So, there's no reason to vote me out, I'm safe either way!"
"I purposely lied today about the advantage that I won today," Mamoru says. "That's not just because Big Bro would think it's cool. It's because I want the other alliance of three to think that there's no point in voting out one of us. And if they think that way and turn on each other, I'll have won a great victory."
But Alexia doesn't seem so sure. She stares down Mamoru silently, as Yotsuba and Rinrin congratulate Mamoru, while Sasami and Komachi look stunned.
"I don't believe this for a minute," Alexia says. "This doesn't pass the smell test. Why would Mamoru be so willing to tell us this, when she clearly knows that I have it out for her cherished Yotsuba? I think she's trying to divert from something else. And maybe that something else is that she lost her vote, and now she's trying to fake us out over it."
So, later that afternoon, Alexia pulls aside Komachi and Sasami.
"Do you believe Mamoru's story?" Alexia asks.
"Of course, why not?" Komachi says.
"Yeah, she seems like a pretty cool person," Sasami says.
"Really?" Alexia says. "Because to me, it seemed like she was making something up. I don't think for a second she won a Superidol."
"Why not?" Sasami wonders.
"Because the Superidol is an overpowered twist," Alexia says. "It wouldn't be so easy to win."
"That's true," Komachi says, putting a finger on her chin. "Hmmm… maybe she's lying to us after all."
"And if that's the case, we've got to strike early," Alexia says. "We've got to get Rinrin to play that Shot-in-the-Dark. If she thinks that we're voting Mamoru, then she might panic and play it."
"But couldn't Mamoru save her with the Superidol?" Sasami asks.
"There. Is. No. Superidol," Alexia responds. "That's a lie she made up in an attempt to throw us off her scent."
"Yeah, I gotta agree with the Princess here," Komachi says. "My brother Hachiman would reason similarly to him. She's lying about it. It's the only explanation for the ease of her revelation."
"I see," Sasami says.
"So, now the goal must be to get Rinrin to play that Shot-in-the-Dark," Alexia says. "Then we vote for Mamoru and she goes home."
"Why not Yotsuba?" Sasami asks.
"Our little detective has a wax idol, remember?" Komachi says. "We can't take a risk by voting for her. If we only had four votes, we could split the votes. But as it is, we gotta go with Mamoru – even if she does have the Superidol."
"Which she doesn't have," Alexia says. "I'm sure of it."
"Komachi and Sasami are still having a hard time getting on page with me," Alexia says. "I know she doesn't have a Superidol. Komachi is starting to come around, but not quickly enough. We need to put three votes on Mamoru and get Rinrin to waste her Shot-in-the-Dark."
Meanwhile, Mamoru is telling the true story off in the woods with Yotsuba and Rinrin.
"So, I've got this Legacy Advantage now," she says, finishing off her story. "Should I get voted out, I'll leave it to one of you two."
"Don't talk like that!" Rinrin says. "Bro wouldn't be cool with that kind of talk."
"Yotsuba agrees!" Yotsuba says. "Brother Dearest wants all of us to go far. Don't worry about Yotsuba; she'll make it to the end!"
"Thanks for the encouragement," Mamoru says, blushing a bit.
"Yotsuba and Rinrin are such good sisters to me," Mamoru says. "They are fully on board with me, and now the three of us make for a great alliance. Hopefully we can all make it to the merge so that we can play with our other sisters!"
Sister Tribe
(Karen, Kohaku, Kyon's Sister, Marie, Misty, Sakuya)
Misty is still sulking around camp after Sakuya destroyed her shoes.
"Can you believe that she ruined those pumps?" Misty says. "I don't even know where to find them. I've looked for them around the beach. She completely destroyed an expensive item of mine."
"I know, it sucks," Kohaku says. "But we've got to get our heads on straight because there's another challenge coming up. We gotta win."
"Why?" Misty responds. "I want Sakuya out as soon as possible."
Sakuya walks by just then, and Misty gets up to confront her.
"You're going home next," Misty says. "You and your Dear Brother."
"No one insults my Dear Brother and gets away with it!" Sakuya shouts.
"You want to get nuts? Let's get nuts!" Misty yells.
"Calm down, calm down," Kohaku says, massaging Misty's shoulders.
"Misty is starting to lose her temper," Kohaku says. "The last thing we need is a Phillip vs. Brandon Hantz battle out here on the Sister beach. I've got to try to relax her."
When Kyon's Sister comes back, she is greeted by Karen and Marie.
"How did it go?" Karen asks.
"Did you win anything?" Marie asks.
"Oh, I didn't win anything!" Kyon's Sister says, before stopping in her tracks. "I… I… well, I just got to know the other girls a little better."
"I can't tell them what actually happened," Kyon's Sister says. "If they find out that I lost my vote, I'm going to be a target. So, I've got to lie a little bit. It's just a little white lie, Kyon!"
"Something doesn't seem right about Little Sister's story," Karen says. "She couldn't have possibly gone there and had nothing happen. There had to have been a twist of some sort. What it is, though, we don't know, and we won't know if we can't get the info out of her."
A little later, Kyon's Sister meets Misty and Kohaku and lets them know what's up.
"I'm sorry!" she says, crying.
"What's the matter, Little Sister?" Kohaku asks.
"I lost my vote!" Kyon's Sister says, sobbing.
"It's okay, it's okay," Kohaku says, hugging her.
Misty looks a little upset, but then she joins in the hug.
"Crap!" Misty says. "With Little Sister losing her vote, we are in a whole lot of trouble – Kohaku and myself, that is. Now Sakuya can team up with her sisters and vote one of us out! We can't let them know that, though. We've got to get this idol activated and use it to our advantage!"
"I feel so bad for Little Sister, but there's a game to play," Kohaku says. "We've got to figure out a way to avoid getting one of us voted out, and part of that requires getting the idol activated. So, we must hope that we can get the idol activated to begin with, and then figure out who the other sisters are gonna vote for."
Hime Tribe
(Chikage, Haruka, Kurome, Sayu, Tsukasa, Ui)
Chikage throws down a tarot card as she stands outside the makeshift shelter.
"Show me who should go home next," she says, while Kurome watches her and rolls her eyes.
"Hey, look, she's back!" Sayu shouts, seeing Ui coming back from the boat.
"Hi guys!" Ui says. "Good to see you again!"
"You come back with any advantages?" Tsukasa asks.
"Advantages?" Haruka asks.
"Yeah, usually when you go on one of these journeys, you go to a convenience store for advantages," Tsukasa says. "What'd you get, Ui?"
Ui frowns. "I lost my vote."
"Lost your vote?" Sayu says. "That's no good."
"Yeah, I tried playing a challenge where I could have won an advantage had I won it," Ui says. "Instead, I lost. So I'm here without a vote."
"That sucks," Kurome says.
"I know!" Ui says. "But hopefully we'll just win challenges so it won't matter."
"I'm worried that my loss of a vote may cost me my spot in the game," Ui says. "But I wanted to tell the truth. I want to play a game of honesty and integrity, as I heard someone once say. I just hope that it doesn't put a target on my back."
"Ui might be the safest vote tonight," Kurome says. "If she doesn't have a vote, she doesn't have a chance of rescuing herself. We might as well play it safe and use her as the easy target."
Imouto Tribe
(Hinako, Kaho, Karin, Kirino, Ruby, Shirayuki)
Ruby comes back to the beach to cheers from some of the other girls.
"I'm baaaack!" she shouts, and Kaho and Hinako embrace her. "It was fun!"
"So, tell us all about it," Kirino says.
"Well, let's see…" Ruby says. "I got to meet three other girls from the other tribes. Then we all went our separate ways. And then I had a choice – play a challenge and risk my vote, or not play and keep my vote. I chose to keep my vote."
Karin and Kirino both look suspicious, but say nothing.
"Was there any food?" Shirayuki asks.
"No, no food," Ruby says. "If there had been, I would have brought some back with me!"
"So good to have you back!" Kaho says.
"Yay yay, Ruby Ruby!" Hinako exclaims.
Kirino looks on with crossed arms.
"Yeah, I don't believe this story for a minute," Kirino says. "She really wants us to believe that she just hung out with the other girls and didn't get anything out of it? She clearly is lying. Clearly. I bet she won some sort of advantage and is trying to hide it. Nevertheless, she might be a number to work with, so I can't write her off altogether."
Karin also has her doubts.
"Ruby couldn't possibly have gotten nothing from that journey," Karin says. "She had to have gotten something. But what do I know, I tried to quit. It doesn't make sense to start playing the game now that I already gave up on it. So, I really don't care what she has."
Immunity Challenge
"Come on in, girls!"
The Sister and Princess tribes walk into the immunity challenge area.
"Sister and Princess tribes, getting your first look at the new Imouto and Hime tribes, Liechtenstein and Aria voted out last Tribal Councils, and replaced by Ruby Hoshino and Ui Hirasawa."
"Wow," Misty says, seeing them walk in. Several of the other girls look surprised as well.
"You girls ready to get to today's immunity challenge?"
"Yeah!" Komachi shouts.
"First things first, I will take back immunity."
Kohaku and Sasami hand over the immunity idols of Nezuko and Alluka to Jet.
"For a short time," Kohaku says to a laugh from Jet.
"Thank you," Jet says. "Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you will roll six colored barrels across the field to a square in which you will put each barrel upon a marker. From there, you will try to land six sandbags on those barrels. Each player on each tribe must land one sandbag in order for you to win. First two tribes to get all six sandbags from all different people on their barrels, wins immunity, safe from the vote. Last two tribes to finish, otherwise known as the losers, Tribal Council, where two of you will be the third and fourth sisters voted out of this game. In addition, you are playing for reward. Wanna know what you're playing for?"
"Yeah!" Kyon's Sister shouts.
Jet reveals a table full of fishing gear.
"First tribe to finish gets a ton of fishing gear. Second tribe to finish, not as impressive, but still something. Losers, nothing except a date with me at Tribal Council. Plus, if you lose, as penalty I will take your flint. Hime and Imouto, you're playing to get yours. Worth playing for?"
"Yep!" Ruby yells.
Kohaku and Tsukasa each try to say their secret phrase, but Jet cuts them off.
"I'll give you a minute to strategize, then we'll get it on!"
The players talk things over, then line up at the starting line.
"For immunity and reward! Survivors ready? Go!"
All 24 players go out running into the field simultaneously. Marie trips as she runs, and she gets mud all over her. Ruby also trips in the mud, but she gets up quickly.
"All four tribes looking pretty good so far!"
Misty rolls back the first barrel for Sister, while Komachi and Mamoru come rolling in with the first barrels for Princess. Kurome gets one back for Hime, and Kirino and Karin roll one over for Imouto.
"So far, Princess and Imouto in the lead!"
Kohaku pushes a barrel back, then notices Marie not getting up from the mud.
"Are you okay?" she asks.
"I'll… be fine," Marie says weakly. "Just allow me to see Brother Mine."
Kohaku grabs Marie's hand and lifts her up. "You go over to the start and wait for the sandbags," she says. "I'll run for you."
Marie stumbles away, while Alexia, Sasami, and Rinrin all come back with barrels for Princess. Shirayuki rolls one in for Imouto, while Sakuya gets one for Sister. Tsukasa rolls back the second barrel for Hime.
"Right now, Princess ahead in this challenge!"
Yotsuba gets the final barrel back for the Princess tribe, and the six girls quickly start arranging them on their spots. Meanwhile, Ruby brings back a barrel for Imouto, and Kaho and Hinako work together to push back a barrel themselves.
"Hime tribe really struggling out here!"
Sayu struggles to push back a barrel, as does Haruka. Chikage has to work with Ui to get back a barrel, and finally Sayu gives up on trying to push hers alone and instead goes to help Haruka.
"Seeing some good examples of teamwork in this challenge!"
Kohaku gets another barrel back, while Misty helps Kyon's Sister push one. Karen finishes pushing hers back, and the Sister tribe has all their barrels.
"Start lining those up!"
Misty and Kohaku go to work on setting up the barrels in their correct spots, while the Princess tribe has finished setting up theirs and is ready to start tossing sandbags.
"Each person's gotta land a sandbag!"
As the Imouto tribe gets its final barrel back over the line thanks to some extra help from Karin and Kirino, Alexia throws a sandbag and lands it on a barrel on her first try.
"Alexia gets one for the Princess tribe! Sister tribe, you can start throwing!"
Misty throws a sandbag, and she misses badly. Komachi then tosses one, and she is able to land it.
"A big lead for Princess so far!"
Misty lands a sandbag moments after missing, while the Imouto tribe gets all their barrels in position.
"Start throwing, Imouto! Hime taking a very long time to get back here!"
Kohaku lands a sandbag for Sister, while Princess gets one from Mamoru.
"Princess three away from winning!"
Kirino misses badly on her first toss, but Karin steps up behind her and lands one. Sakuya takes three tries before making one for the Sister tribe. Rinrin nails one for Princess, and Sasami starts to throw.
"Princess needs only two more!"
Sasami tosses hers… and lands it.
"Only Yotsuba has to land a sandbag, and Princess wins!"
Hinako tosses one underhanded, and the bag pops way up in the air before falling down right on a barrel. Kyon's Sister watches her do this, and she copies her. Her sandbag also lands on the barrel, while the Hime tribe finally gets all six barrels back.
"Yotsuba can win it right here!"
Yotsuba tosses one up…
…
…
…
…
…
"She misses!"
Shirayuki lands one for the Imouto tribe, and Karen tosses one high into the air.
…
…
…
…
…
"Karen misses! But Yotsuba connects! Princess tribe wins immunity and reward!"
The Princess tribe comes together in one awkward celebration. Meanwhile, Karen connects on her next shot.
"All Sister needs now is Marie to make one!"
But Marie is feeling faint, and when she tries tossing, she misses badly.
"Come on, Marie, just one good toss!" Kohaku says. "You can do it!"
Kaho lands one for the Imouto tribe, as does Kirino. The Hime tribe finally finishes setting up their barrels, and Kurome takes the first shot.
"Kurome hits! As for Marie…"
…
…
…
…
…
"She misses again! Everyone else still in this challenge!"
Ruby takes her first shot.
"Ruby can win it right here for Imouto!"
Ruby throws it high into the air…
…
…
…
…
…
… and misses. Marie then throws hers high into the air.
"Marie could win it right here for Sister!"
…
…
…
…
…
"She misses! But Ruby connects! And that's it! Imouto wins immunity and reward!"
Karin picks up Hinako and lifts her high into the air, while Kirino gives a high five to Ruby. Kaho and Shirayuki jump up and down in joy.
"Princess and Imouto, come over here."
Jet hands over the Alluka idol to Sasami and the Nezuko idol to Kaho.
"Congratulations, your two tribes are safe from the vote, and your fishing supplies will be waiting back at camp. Here's your flint, Imouto."
Jet tosses the flint over to Karin.
"Head on out."
Karin gives Jet a thumbs up while following her tribe (and the Princess tribe) out of the immunity challenge area.
"As for you, Sister and Hime, you will see me at Tribal Council," Jet says. "Hime, I'm keeping your flint; Sister, you gotta give it up to me."
Misty shakes her head as she walks over and hands Jet the flint.
"I got nothing for you. Head on out."
The Hime tribe leaves the immunity challenge area, but as the Sister tribe goes to follow them out, Marie suddenly keels over.
"She fainted," Kohaku says. "Get medical over here right away."
"Medical!" Jet shouts.
The medical team rushes to help Marie, while the camera pans to the disappointed Hime tribe.
"No flint, and no fire for one of us tonight," Tsukasa says. "Hopefully our tribe can come to the right conclusion as to who's gonna lose their fire."
Hime Tribe
(Chikage, Haruka, Kurome, Sayu, Tsukasa, Ui)
"Well, that's disappointing," Sayu says as the Hime tribe arrives back at camp.
"Gotta go to work now on fixing this tribe," Tsukasa says.
"We need to make this tribe stronger," Tsukasa says. "Clearly we're not good enough to win at these challenges. We weren't even in this one today. My personal preference would be to vote out Chikage. I think she offers us nothing of value. But I have to find out what the other girls think."
Tsukasa pulls aside Kurome and talks strategy.
"Our tribe is physically weak," Tsukasa tells her. "Not you, not me. But practically everyone else."
"I can't agree with you more," Kurome replies. "Sayu is useless, Haruka is worthless, and Chikage and Ui aren't much better."
"See, I think we should go after Chikage," Tsukasa says. "All she does is read those tarot cards."
"I don't think you're wrong, but I'd go Sayu or Haruka. Those two were the worst at this past challenge."
"I suppose you have a point," Tsukasa says. "But I really think Chikage is the weak link here."
"Kurome and I can't get on board over who to vote out," Tsukasa says. "That worries me, because if se can't agree on that, maybe one of us is going to be the next one out. I want to make sure that it isn't me."
"I agree with Tsukasa that Chikage is weak," Kurome says. "But she's not the only one, nor the main one. Either Haruka or Sayu should go home first. They're like Gabon's Kenny – virtually useless in this challenge, or any other one for that matter."
Chikage, meanwhile, is using her tarot cards to try to choose a person to vote out.
"Show me the way," she says, throwing one to the ground.
She then picks it up and looks at it closely.
"I see," she says. "It's all in the cards."
"My choice for voting someone out depends on what Brother Darling is telling me through these cards," Chikage says. "I know he can hear me out here, and he's sending me a message as to who I should vote out."
Sister Tribe
(Karen, Kohaku, Kyon's Sister, Marie, Misty, Sakuya)
The Sister tribe gathers around Marie, who is being treated by Bleach's Squad 5 Captain Retsu Unohana and her assistant Kiyone Kotetsu.
"Her heart is racing and her oxygen levels are dropping," Kiyone tells Unohana.
"We will begin healing with our Zanpakutos right away," Unohana states.
She then turns to Marie.
"You are in extreme danger. If you don't leave the game now, you may die."
"I understand."
"I'm sorry to tell you this," Unohana says.
Marie looks sadly up at the rest of her tribe. "I have a weak constitution," she says. "Physical challenges like these just aren't for me. I need to go get some treatment."
"Man, that sucks!" Sakuya says. "Say hello to Dear Brother when you see him."
"I will," Marie says. "I want Brother Mine to hold my hand while I lie in bed."
"Very well then," Jet says. "Captain Unohana, you are pulling Marie from the game, am I correct?"
"That's right," Unohana states. "She can't go on like this."
"Okay," Jet states. "Marie is officially pulled from the game. This is a reprieve for the rest of the tribe. No one else's going home from this tribe tonight. You can head back to camp, I'll see you in a couple days for the next immunity challenge."
"Thanks, Jet," Misty says, as everyone pats Marie on the way out.
"Brother Mine will be there for me when I'm back in bed," Marie says. "He has always been there, right by my side. And knowing that… that makes me happier than winning a million dollars ever could."
Hime Tribe
(Chikage, Haruka, Kurome, Sayu, Tsukasa, Ui)
Haruka talks with Sayu that evening, with both players feeling on the outs.
"No one is talking to me," Haruka says. "That is a bad sign."
"It sure is," Sayu says. "It's the same with me. No one wants to work with me."
"But our votes could be swing votes," Haruka says. "If Beloved Brother was here, he'd be helping me out and voting along with me. I trust him all the way."
"I really wish I could have played this game with my Beloved Brother," Haruka says. "Sadly, I do not know which way everyone else is voting. Beloved Brother would not only know, he would protect me the whole way."
Tsukasa tries talking with Ui around the same time.
"We need to cut the fat," Tsukasa says. "And that means voting off either Chikage, Haruka, or Sayu. All of them are really pulling us down in challenges."
"I really wish we didn't have to vote anyone out," Ui says.
"No, we need someone out now," Tsukasa says. "This tribe is so weak as currently constituted. We gotta get out the weakest player. I just don't know who it is."
"I don't know…" Ui says. "Plus, as you know, I lost my vote."
"Yeah, that doesn't help matters any," Tsukasa says. "But I want your input as to who to vote out, because you could help us make the right decision."
"Ui is naïve and quite frankly a little stupid," Tsukasa says. "She acts like not having a vote keeps her off the hook. It doesn't. She needs to be as concerned as anyone when it comes to this vote. Heck, it could even be her going home tonight! But I'm out my vote since I never got a chance to say that secret phrase at the immunity challenge, nor did anyone else say it. So I'm relying on Kurome to make the right decision tonight."
Tribal Council
(Hime)
The Hime tribe walks into the Tribal Council area with their torches, and Chikage and Haruka both notice Wataru standing there next to Jet.
"Beloved Brother!" Haruka says.
"Brother Darling…" Chikage says.
The players put their torches in their place and sit down on the stumps.
"All right," Jet says. "Let's talk about something unrelated to your tribe for a moment. Marie, sister of Wataru here, was pulled from the game due to physical reasons. She is recovering and should make a full recovery."
"Oh, that's terrible!" Haruka says. "Poor Marie…"
Chikage nods. "I suppose it was in the cards."
"Now, let's talk about the fact that your tribe has lost every challenge so far," Jet states. "You are well on your way to becoming one of the worst tribes in Survivor history."
"We're not anywhere near the worst, and you know that, Jet," Tsukasa says. "I remember that awful Ryoka tribe in Survivor: Hueco Mundo failing to win an immunity challenge until episode six or so. Or that Aggressive tribe from Survivor: Rivals. Those tribes were far worse than ours."
"Very well then," Jet says. "Even if they are worse than yours, it doesn't change the fact that your tribe is bad."
"It is a bad tribe," Kurome says. "We suck at everything. Ui tells us that she lost her vote in some sort of challenge, so I guess that makes us 0-for-4 in challenges. We just aren't any good."
"Do you think the problem is correctable?"
"Probably not," Kurome replies. "We're completely lost as a tribe. I don't think chopping off one bad growth of the disease is going to cure it."
"I disagree," Tsukasa breaks in. "I think we can correct the problem. We just have to make the right decision tonight. And that's not easy."
"Why isn't it easy?" Jet asks.
"Because all of them suck!" Tsukasa exclaims, to laughter from Sayu and Ui.
"Ui, I don't know why you're laughing," Jet says. "You're gonna be laughing your way right to Tribal Council flame-snuffing."
"Am I not allowed to have a little fun?" Ui asks. "The fact of the matter is, in Tsukasa's blunt opinion, yes, we do all suck. But when you're on a tribe of suckers, so to speak, you've got to make sure you're not the worst sucker."
"Right," Kurome says. "Let's find out who sucks the least."
"Hold on," Jet says. "I want to hear you all plead your case. Because what I am seeing right here tonight is a wide-open vote, where no one votes as an alliance. This is your chance to tell everyone why you suck the least."
"I'll start," Sayu says. "I'm loyal, I'm honest, and I'm trying my best. I may not be as good as my big brother Light, but I am definitely useful out here."
"My Beloved Brother could vouch for me," Haruka says. "I just want to make him happy. If my performance makes him smile, then I feel that I have accomplished something big."
"It's all in the cards," Chikage says. "My Brother Darling knows that my choices are determined by fate. And my fate is not to be voted out tonight."
"Me, am I next?" Ui says. "Okay. Well, I am much better organized than my older sister Yui. I don't think you should hold it against me because I can't vote tonight."
"I am probably our strongest and best player for challenges," Kurome says. "If you vote me out, you vote out a proven leader. It's not a good choice."
"Finally, you, Tsukasa," Jet says.
"Hey, I've been just as good as Kurome at challenges!" she says. "I think tonight is the best time to cut the fat and remove someone who can't cut it at challenges. That isn't me; I'm right there with Kurome leading the way in these challenges."
"Okay then," Jet states. "With that, it is time to vote. Chikage, you're up first."
Chikage goes to vote.
"This vote has been in the cards for a while now," she says. "And now your flame will be extinguished."
Haruka goes to vote.
"I really don't know why I am voting for you tonight," she says. "But hopefully it will please Beloved Brother."
Kurome goes to vote.
Sayu goes to vote.
Tsukasa goes to the voting booth, then sees a paper that says "You cannot vote tonight. Return to your seat."
"Crap!" she whispers as she turns around and goes back to her seat.
Ui goes to voting booth, and she sees the same paper. She quietly slinks back to her seat.
"I'll go tally the votes."
Jet goes over to the voting booth, gathers the votes, then returns to his podium.
"If anyone has a hidden immunity idol or an advantage, and you would like to play it, now would be the time to do so."
Tsukasa looks around and sees no one budging.
"Okay. Once the votes are read, the decision is final, and the person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."
Jet pulls out the first vote.
"First vote… Chikage."
Chikage nods her head.
"Sayu. We're tied, one vote Sayu, one vote Chikage."
…
…
…
…
…
"Sayu. That's two votes Sayu, one vote Chikage."
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
"Chikage. We're tied, two votes Sayu, two votes Chikage."
Jet then picks up the voting urn and turns it upside down, with no votes falling out.
"No votes left."
"Huh?" Sayu wonders.
"That's right, due to two people losing votes tonight, there were only four votes. And who would those be?"
Ui and Tsukasa sadly raise their hands.
"So, we will have a revote. Ui and Tsukasa still cannot vote. Chikage and Sayu, you can't vote either. Thus it will just be Haruka and Kurome voting. Come get the voting urn, Haruka, as it is… time to revote."
Haruka grabs the voting urn, then goes over to vote.
"I sure hope this works, Beloved Brother," she says.
Kurome goes to vote.
"I'll go tally the votes – again."
Jet goes over and grabs the voting urn, then returns to his podium.
"Once the votes are read, the decision is final, and the person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."
He pulls out the first vote.
"First vote… Sayu."
…
…
…
…
…
"Chikage. We have a double tie."
The players all look at each in amazement.
"You've got two choices now," Jet says. "Either come to a unanimous decision as to who should go home, or pick rocks. If you choose to pick rocks, Sayu and Chikage will be immune, and the other four of you will pick rocks."
"I don't want to pick rocks," Ui says. "Let's just pick someone."
"I'm not budging," Haruka says. "I can't turn on my sister."
"Yeah, but then you'll be picking rocks!" Tsukasa replies. "Come on, just vote Chikage."
"Why not vote Sayu?" Haruka offers.
"No way," Kurome says. "We're going to rocks."
"So, rocks?" Jet asks.
"That's right, rocks it is," Kurome says.
"Very well then," Jet states. "You will each draw a rock from my magic bag. If you pick a gray rock, you are safe. If you pick a purple rock, you are eliminated."
Each player picks out a rock and keeps their fist closed on the rock.
"When I say 'three,' you will unveil your rock. One, two, three!"
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
"No!"
…
…
…
…
…
Haruka sees that she has picked the purple rock, and she slumps over in sadness.
"It matches your hair, at least," Kurome says.
"It matches mine as well," Tsukasa says.
"I'm really sorry, Haruka," Sayu says.
"Yeah, it sucks for all of us," Ui says.
"It was destined to happen this way," Chikage says.
"You need to bring your Beloved Brother your torch," Jet states.
Haruka gets up sadly and grabs her torch. She then brings it over to Wataru.
"It can't be true!" Wataru says, snuffing out her torch. "The tribe has spoken; it's time for you to go."
"Thank you so much, Beloved Brother," Haruka says. "Hearing you say it make it all worthwhile."
She then heads on out, and Jet addresses the players.
"Well, in voting out Jimmy Johnson, you vote out a proven leader," Jet states.
"Huh?" Tsukasa asks.
"Oh, I'm sorry, wrong cue card," Jet says. "For real this time: your tribe is crumbling, splitting, dividing, and falling apart. You'd better get something fixed soon, or else you're going to go down as the worst tribe in Survivor history. Grab your torches, head back to camp, good night."
The players go over and take their torches, then head on back to camp.
"Oh, it just was not meant to be," Haruka says. "I do not regret that I did not turn on Chikage. I wanted to play a game of honesty and integrity, and that meant staying true to my sister Chikage to the end. It didn't work out, but at least now I can spend some time with Beloved Brother."
Who voted for whom:
Chikage – Sayu
Haruka – Sayu, Sayu
Kurome – Chikage, Chikage
Sayu – Chikage
Tsukasa – No vote
Ui – No vote
Next time on… Survivor…
The Misty-Sakuya rivalry continues… the Alexia-Yotsuba rivalry continues… and the Jet vs. everyone rivalry (when it comes to food) continues.
