Day 6
We Don't Care About No Government Warning
Princess Tribe
(Alexia, Komachi, Mamoru, Rinrin, Yotsuba)
"Okay, what the hell just happened?" Alexia screams as the players come back to camp.
"Allow the great detective Yotsuba to explain!" Yotsuba says.
"Oh, please do," Alexia says.
"Yotsuba, Mamoru, and Rinrin all decided to keep on passing the idol around, but we always planned for it to be used on Yotsuba herself!" Yotsuba says. "Then, Mamoru and Rinrin each played their Shot-in-the-Darks to cancel out other votes. Mamoru's worked, so none of us went home!"
"We figured that someone was playing their Shot-in-the-Dark, but we didn't know who," Komachi says. "That's why we had Sasami throw a vote on Mamoru. We got super unlucky that she drew the SAFE card. Hindsight being 20/20, we should have cast three different votes on all three of you and taken the chance of getting voted out."
"Man, how did this happen!" Alexia yells, punching the sand in anger. "We had the numbers, we saw right through the plan, yet we still lost the vote!"
"Don't be too upset!" Rinrin says. "We're still a tribe. We can work together going forward."
"Yeah, Big Bro would want us to get along!" Mamoru says. "Let's put last night in the past and forget about it!"
Alexia shakes her head angrily, while Komachi rubs her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her.
"I can't believe it!" Alexia says. "I got outwitted by Yotsuba! This game is called Outwit, Outplay, Outlast, and Yotsuba managed to do all three to me in my first Tribal Council! I'm so embarrassed! When I go back to Midgar Academy, even that pooch Cid is going to make fun of me. What a blunder!"
"Alexia is acting like the whole game is over, but it's not," Komachi says. "We lost Sasami, but we can move on from here. There's just one thing that we have to do."
That morning, Komachi shakes Alexia awake, before Yotsuba, Mamoru, or Rinrin has woken up.
"Come on," she whispers to Alexia. "We've got to go."
"Go where?" a groggy Alexia replies.
"Idol-hunting!" Komachi says. "The idol was played, which means there's another one out in the jungle somewhere. We've got to get it before they do!"
"Right," Alexia says.
Komachi and Alexia head off into the jungle, searching for the idol. But after about an hour of looking, neither is having any success.
"Where the hell could this thing be?" Alexia says.
She then notices something sticking out of the side of a tree.
"Aha!" she says, pulling it out and opening it up. "Let's see what this idol looks like."
But as she opens it, all she finds is a note. As she starts to read it, she calls Komachi over.
"Quick, Komachi, over here," Alexia says.
Komachi rushes over. "Did you find it?"
"I found a clue," Alexia says. "It says that I need to slash a certain vine marked with red paint with the machete in order to release the idol."
"Okay, I'll run back to camp and get the machete," Komachi says. "You look for the vine."
"Right," Alexia says.
Alexia goes off into the jungle further, looking for the vine in question, while Komachi scurries back to camp to grab the machete. But when she gets back to camp, not only are the other three girls all awake, but Mamoru is using the machete to open up a coconut.
"Hi guys!" Komachi says nervously as she walks in.
"Hey!" Mamoru says. "How's it going?"
"Pretty good," Komachi says. "So, what are you doing with that machete right there?"
"Silly, I'm opening up a coconut to drink some of its juice," Mamoru says. "You have to have a certain taste for coconut, and fortunately I enjoy it."
"Do you think I could borrow the machete?" Komachi says.
"For what?" Mamoru asks. "I'm busy trying to get this coconut."
"Uh… uh… well, I…"
"I'll let you have it once I'm finished with this coconut," Mamoru says.
"Okay…" Komachi says nervously. "You know what, I've got to go micturate, I'll see you in a bit!"
Komachi runs off back into the jungle, while Mamoru and the other two girls look confused.
"Now what was all that all about?" Rinrin asks.
"The great detective Yotsuba deducts that Komachi must be looking for an idol!" Yotsuba says. "She needs it to cut something open to get the idol!"
"Great thinking, Yotsuba!" Rinrin says. "It all makes sense now, doesn't it, Mamoru?"
"Yeah, it does," Mamoru says, sucking some juice out of the coconut.
"Should we go after them?" Rinrin asks.
"Eh, I'm too busy enjoying my coconut," Mamoru says. "They can't get it without the machete anyway, so it seems."
Mamoru keeps on chopping up her coconut and sipping on its juice, while Komachi runs deep into the woods to find Alexia.
"I found it!" Alexia says. "Now, you just swing that machete at this vine and we'll bring it down!"
"Yeah, one problem with that," Komachi says.
"What's that?"
"I couldn't get the machete," Komachi says. "Mamoru was hogging it."
"Well, we can't get the idol without it!" Alexia exclaims. "I've tried pulling and pushing at this thing, and it won't budge. The only thing that's gonna get it down is the machete."
"I don't know how we're gonna get it," Komachi says. "Mamoru was being really possessive about that thing. And if she finds out why I need it, then our cover is blown."
"#$*% it!" Alexia yells. "This idol is right under our noses for us to grab, and we can't get it!"
She calms down for a second, then thinks of a strategy.
"Here's what we'll do," Alexia says. "We'll go back to camp now without it, but once everyone goes to sleep tonight, we grab that machete and go get that idol."
"Sounds good," Komachi says.
"I'm going to hide this note back in the tree where I found it," Alexia says. "That way, we don't get caught with the note when we come back to camp."
"Okay."
"I'm a little upset with Komachi here," Alexia says. "She needed to get me that machete, and she couldn't pull it off. So now we have to put our idol hunt on hold."
"Alexia and I have the worst luck!" Komachi says. "First, we end up getting beaten out in a vote where we had three and they had only one vote. Then we find the idol, but we can't get it, due to circumstances beyond our control. This really sucks!"
Hime Tribe
(Chikage, Kurome, Sayu, Tsukasa, Ui)
The Hime tribe is completely dejected after having lost yet again.
"Look, this doesn't get any easier," Tsukasa says. "Every time we lose, I feel like part of my stomach is being ripped out. And that stomach is completely empty because we don't win rewards. But I've got this idol, and I'm going to use it if I have to."
"When are we going to win?" Sayu asks.
"It'll happen," Ui says.
"Yeah, sometime in another lifetime," Tsukasa comments. "How do those other tribes keep winning, though, that's what I want to know."
"Winning is a habit," Kurome states. "Unfortunately, so is losing."
"I'm as sick of losing as everyone else on this tribe," Kurome says. "But wallowing around in self-pity isn't going to get anything done. We've got to figure out who's the weak link in this tribe and try to get better."
Kurome draws Tsukasa aside.
"We're losing because of one of those other three," Kurome says. "One of them is bringing us down, and we've got to figure out which one."
"Wrong," Tsukasa says. "This is a team effort, all this losing. Voting out one member isn't going to fix anything. What we've got to do is make the smart move for us two going forward."
"But who do we bring with us?"
"That's the real trick, isn't it? And it's gonna cost you and me, because we have to stick our necks out on the line. If we side with any one of those three, they have the opportunity to turn to the other two and vote out either of us. So, we've got to be very careful about this."
Meanwhile, Ui and Sayu are having a similar conversation.
"You're my number one, 100%," Ui tells Sayu. "You've appreciated me from the moment I arrived here."
"I'm backing you up too!" Sayu says. "You and I, together to the end!"
"But we've got to figure out who to vote for," Ui says. "We can take the easy route and vote out Chikage."
"Or we could try to join up with Chikage and vote out Tsukasa or Kurome," Sayu says.
"It's a very difficult decision," Ui says. "I'll do a feeling out process by talking with everyone one-on-one. Maybe then I'll get some clarity."
"There may be two alliances, myself and Sayu, and Kurome and Tsukasa," Ui says. "However, these two alliances are not pitted against each other. Rather, we've just bonded together better. And now, our alliances have the choice to team up with one another, or go to war. I don't like war, though, so I'm hoping we can all agree to vote out Chikage."
Sister Tribe
(Karen, Kohaku, Kyon's Sister, Misty, Sakuya)
"I lost my vote."
Misty's confession before Kohaku and Kyon's Sister sends shockwaves into their hearts.
"You… you lost your vote too?" Kyon's Sister asks.
"There's more," Misty says.
"Uh-oh," Kohaku says.
"Yeah. I lost my vote for two Tribal Councils."
Kohaku buries her head in her hands, while Kyon's Sister looks nervous.
"What are we going to do?" Kyon's Sister asks.
"I don't know," Misty says. "All we've got left is Kohaku's vote… and Kohaku's idol."
"I'll play it for you if need be," Kohaku says. "But I don't know how we can possibly do anything with only one vote. We were talking about a 50/50 chance or maybe as good as a 67% chance of surviving the next vote, and now we're talking 33% at best."
"Yeah, if we had tied 2-2 and you used the idol on yourself… oh, this is all my fault!" Misty says.
"Don't worry about it," Kohaku says. "Right now, the goal is to figure out how we move forward. Now, neither of you can use your Shot-in-the-Dark."
"Right," Kyon's Sister says.
"And even if I used mine, that would leave us with no votes in the urn. So, I've got to vote. The question is, can I guess who they're gonna vote for?"
"Use it on yourself," Misty says. "You ought to protect yourself over us. We'll just hope they get fooled."
"I really screwed up by blowing my vote," Misty says. "It was a bad decision. I should have counted on getting our two against their two. But now we're totally screwed. I don't know what we're gonna do."
"We are in a bad position, but this is Survivor," Kohaku says. "Anything can happen, you're never out of it."
Karen and Sakuya, meanwhile, are unaware of any of this.
"Do you think they'll try to vote out you or Karen?" Karen asks.
"Probably me," Sakuya says. "Because they're jealous of my love for Dear Brother."
"Karen just wishes Big Brother was here to protect me," Karen says. "Karen feels so lonely without him."
"Karen really misses Big Brother," Karen says. "But Karen's got to stay strong. Sakuya and Karen make a good pair, and the two of us will try to go up against the other three."
Imouto Tribe
(Hinako, Kaho, Karin, Kirino, Ruby, Shirayuki)
Kirino and Karin feel increasingly isolated from the other four.
"The Minakami sisters are against us," Kirino says.
"Yeah, and Ruby is caucusing with the Minakami sisters, making it four on two," Karin says.
"If we don't find that idol, we're screwed," Kirino says.
"We've looked up and down this camp and the jungle for that idol," Kirino says. "Yet we can't find it. I'm almost guaranteeing that one of those sisters has it, but which one? I have no clue."
Meanwhile, Shirayuki tells Kaho and Hinako about her fate.
"Hime kept her vote on the Journey," she says.
"Good!" Hinako says. "Hina learned in kindergarten that three is greater than two."
"But what if Ruby votes with the other two?" Kaho says. "Then we are in trouble."
"Oh, no," Hinako says, rubbing a tear out of her eye.
"Hina is very worried that Ruby might turn on us and vote out one of us," Hinako says. "There is no guarantee that she will vote with us. Hina might be in a great deal of trouble."
"Kaho trusts Ruby, but how much can Kaho trust her?" Kaho says. "If Ruby likes the other girls more, she may turn on us and vote us out, and we only have three votes. Kaho is scared."
But Ruby seems to be off in her own world.
"I want to be an idol!" Ruby says. "So, I'm practicing my dance moves out here on the island. I'm even using sticks that I've found in the jungle as glow sticks! This is so much fun! Right now, I couldn't care less about the game! I'm just out here to enjoy myself."
Princess Tribe
(Alexia, Komachi, Mamoru, Rinrin, Yotsuba)
As it gets darker toward night, Alexia seizes an opportunity to take the machete. She notices Mamoru and Rinrin playing down by the beach, and Yotsuba going around inspecting every last tree.
"Come on, let's go," Alexia tells Komachi, grabbing the machete.
The two of them run out into the woods and find the vine covered in red paint.
"This is our only chance to do this," Alexia says. "You swing the machete, I'll catch the idol."
"Got it," Komachi says.
Komachi takes the machete off Alexia and swings it as hard as she can at the vine. After three or four slashes, the vine breaks, and a box comes plummeting down to the ground – but with red paint flying everywhere.
"I'm bleeding!" Komachi yells.
"No, you're not," Alexia says, wiping her eyes. "We just got covered in a whole lot of red paint."
She crawls over and grabs the box, opening it up to see the idol with the note.
"Yes!" Alexia exclaims. "I've got the idol!"
"Awesome!" Komachi says. "Now all we have to do is get this red paint off us."
"Easier said than done," Alexia says. "Come on, let's make a break for the beach."
Alexia leaves the machete behind, as well as the note and the box. She takes the idol and sprints out of the jungle, followed closely by Komachi. Each of them sprays red paint every step of the way.
"Oh, crap!" Alexia shouts.
"What's the matter?" Komachi says.
"Look!"
Komachi sees Mamoru and Rinrin down at the beach.
"We've got to somehow get in there without anyone noticing," Alexia says.
"I've got a better idea," Komachi says.
She suddenly flops down on the ground and starts yelling.
"Help! Help! I'm bleeding!"
Komachi's screams draw the attention of all three of the other girls, who come rushing over.
"What's the matter?" Rinrin asks.
"Yikes!" Mamoru shouts.
The girls all shriek upon seeing Komachi and Alexia covered in red.
"You guys are bleeding really bad!" Mamoru says. "What happened?"
"Alexia was chopping down some wood for our fire," Komachi says. "She swung too hard and accidentally hit me."
"And when she started bleeding, I tried to stop her bleeding, and I got it all over me as well," Alexia lies deftly.
"Blimey! The great detective Yotsuba is on the case!" Yotsuba says. "Yotsuba will retrieve the wood. Mamoru and Rinrin, call for medical!"
"Yeah, this is really bad," Rinrin says. "There's no way you guys can stay in the game. Medical!"
Rinrin and Mamoru start yelling for the producers, waving their arms like crazy. Yotsuba runs out into the jungle, while Alexia facepalms and Komachi shakes her head.
"No! No! We don't care about no government warning!" Komachi yells.
"Yeah, we don't need the producers!" Alexia says. "We'll be fine!"
But it is too late, as Retsu Unohana along with Isane Kotetsu run over to see Komachi and Alexia.
"What's the matter?" Unohana asks.
"They're covered in blood!" Mamoru shouts. "You've got to help them!"
"No, no, we're fine," Komachi says.
"Yeah, just leave us alone," Alexia says.
Unohana shakes her head. "I've got to check you out whether you like it or not," she says.
She places her hand on Komachi's neck and gets paint on it, then pulls her hand up.
"It appears that this is not blood," Unohana states. "May I ask what is going on here?"
"Uh, uh, it's, uh-" Komachi says.
"I'm not privy to whatever tricks the producers are up to," Unohana says. "Neither is Isane. But I can tell you that this is not blood – it is red paint."
"Hmmm…" Mamoru says. "Where could you have gotten paint on yourselves?"
Suddenly, Yotsuba comes running back from the jungle, waving her arms like crazy.
"The great detective Yotsuba figured it out!" Yotsuba shouts.
Alexia facepalms again, as she sees Yotsuba carrying the box that the idol was in.
"What is it?" Rinrin asks.
"Yotsuba found this!"
Yotsuba hands the box over to Rinrin, who reaches inside and pulls out the note.
"Congratulations, you have found the hidden immunity idol?" Rinrin says. "Ah, so this is what this is all about."
Alexia shakes her head, beginning to walk away. Komachi rubs her eyes sadly.
"You caught us," Komachi says.
"She caught us," Alexia says, pointing to Yotsuba. "And that's why I can't wait until I see her torch snuffed."
"Ooh, someone's not happy!" Rinrin says.
"Yeah, looks like Yotsuba solved the mystery!" Mamoru says. "Thank you, Miss…"
"Captain Unohana," Unohana says, reaching out to shake Mamoru's hand, but pulling her hand back when she realizes that it is covered in red paint.
"We appreciate your help," Rinrin says.
"We're here to help anytime you want," Isane says.
"So long," Unohana says.
"Wait a minute!" an angry Alexia shouts.
"Yes?" Unohana says.
"You two just screwed over Komachi and myself!" Alexia yells. "You shouldn't be putting yourselves in this game!"
"I apologize, but this is my job," Unohana says. "I cannot sit back in times of need."
She walks away with Isane, while Alexia stands there, steaming.
"What are we going to do now?" Komachi asks Alexia, in front of the other three girls.
"Go wash up," Alexia says matter-of-factly.
"I can't believe the producers just blew up my game!" Alexia says. "Komachi literally got caught red-handed. And now those other three know that I've got an idol. That means that the three of them can strategize based on that. Komachi's extra vote could tie it up 3-3, but they'd win on the revote if they put their votes on Komachi. That means my only other choice is to use the idol on Komachi and put myself at risk. Why should I do that? Man, this sucks!"
"Caught red-handed, with one hand in the cookie jar," Komachi says. "Alexia and I didn't pull this one off very well. We're now in deep trouble. I'm sure there's a scenario where we could pick rocks or something, I just don't see it. 3-3 vote with three votes on me, I can't revote, and I go home. 3-3 vote with three votes on Alexia, 2-2 revote, then they unanimously choose to take out Alexia, and Alexia goes home. So, in any scenario, one of the two of us is going home, even with Alexia's idol, and even with my extra vote. Unless, somehow, we guess correctly who they're gonna vote for."
Hime Tribe
(Chikage, Kurome, Sayu, Tsukasa, Ui)
The dejected Hime tribe starts trying to figure out who to vote for tonight.
"So, Chikage?" Tsukasa asks Kurome.
"Yeah, I guess," Kurome says. "What other choice do we have?"
"We could go Ui," Tsukasa says. "I just gotta make sure Sayu's with us."
"I'd prefer Chikage myself," Kurome says. "But again, it's all up to Sayu."
"Unless we get Ui on our side," Tsukasa says. "Then we get the numbers anyway."
"Whatevs," Kurome says. "Here, you get Sayu, while I get Ui."
"I don't know what we're doing," Kurome says. "The two of us need the numbers, but we can't be sure about any of the other options. Theoretically, they could all band together to get one of us out. Hopefully they're not that smart."
So, Tsukasa goes to talk with Sayu.
"We good with voting Chikage?" Tsukasa asks.
"100%," Sayu replies. "Ui and I were talking about doing so earlier."
"Great," Tsukasa says. "Don't let anyone know that we talked."
"Right," Sayu says.
"I'm nervous," Sayu says. "All this stuff is going on around me, and I'm completely confused. Maybe coming out for this game wasn't the best idea. But I don't want to quit! I've got to figure out what I'm doing out here."
Kurome talks with Ui, with similar results.
"Are we voting out Chikage?" Kurome asks her.
"Yep!" Ui says. "No question!"
"All right," Kurome says. "Don't let anyone know that we had this conversation."
"Sure thing!" Ui says.
"Well, I think Tsukasa and I have the numbers," Kurome says. "But I can't say for sure. That's why I've got to talk to…"
"Chikage!"
Chikage throws down a tarot card just as Kurome comes over to talk with her.
"Brother Darling warned me about you in my cards," Chikage says. "My divination tells me that your goal is to eliminate me."
"Nonsense!" Kurome says. "We want you to vote with us. Just put your vote on Ui, and Tsukasa and I will do the same."
"Very well then," Chikage says. "But remember: if you go against what Brother Darling has destined, you will have hell to pay."
"I'll take it under consideration," Kurome says.
"Brother Darling has destined me to win this game," Chikage says. "Shall I not win, it would be a divine disaster. Therefore, I shall vote against Ui, and eliminate her from this game."
So, Tsukasa and Kurome come back together right before Tribal Council.
"We got them!" both of them say at the same time.
"Wait, who got who?" Tsukasa says.
"I got both Ui and Chikage," Kurome says. "Ui's voting for Chikage, and Chikage's voting for Ui."
"And who are you voting for?" Tsukasa asks.
"That's up to us to decide," Kurome says. "One of the two."
"All right," Tsukasa says. "Any chance of the three of them banding together to take one of us out?"
"Not a chance," Kurome says. "We're safe."
"Good," Tsukasa says.
"It's always dangerous being hyper-confident going into Tribal Council," Tsukasa says. "Nevertheless, I have good reason to be confident tonight. The other three are so incompetent, they'd have no shot at bringing one of us down."
"I am certain tonight that I am safe," Kurome says. "But of course, the only reason why, is that the other three are the three most incompetent Survivor players of all time. I trust that Tsukasa's with me, and that all the other votes will simply fall into place."
Tribal Council
(Hime)
The five remaining Hime members walk into the Tribal Council area. They set down their torches, then take their seats. Jet and Wataru stand by.
"All right," Jet says. "Let's talk about the elephant in the room."
"You mean Elephant Room 2?" Tsukasa asks.
"The one where a blogger was threatened with getting arrested for trespassing?" Ui says.
"And then the one pastor tried to mainstream a bishop into being considered orthodox?" Sayu says.
"And the other pastor was driving the getaway car?" Kurome says.
"No, no, no!" Jet says. "I meant the elephant in the room that your tribe can't win a challenge worth crap."
"Oh, that!" Tsukasa says. "Yeah, we suck. We've pretty much come to accept that at this point."
"But doesn't that concern you?" Jet asks. "If you guys keep losing, there will be none of you left."
"Nonsense," Kurome says. "We're gonna merge or swap tribes at some point."
"Yeah, you wouldn't let us die, would you?" Ui says.
"You must not have seen last season," Jet states. "There was no merge. So, if you're thinking you can survive fully based on running out the clock, you're gravely mistaken. You won't convert me as you might Probst."
"We could always negotiate," Tsukasa says. "How about all five of us give you our Shot-in-the-Darks, and you call off Tribal Council tonight?"
"Sounds good," Jet says. "Come over here and deposit your Shot-in-the-Darks."
Tsukasa's eyes light up, and she gets up from her seat and walks over to Jet. Jet puts out his hand, then quickly pulls it back.
"Ha-ha, you fell for it!" Jet exclaims. "No way are you doing to me what those contestants did to Probst! I'm not a pushover like he is. And I don't let players change the entire complexion of the game based on what I think might make for better television. You're voting tonight, whether you like it or not!"
Tsukasa shakes her head and walks back to her seat.
"Thanks for nothing," she says.
"Let's talk about this vote," Jet says. "What will you be basing your vote off tonight, Chikage?"
"My Brother Darling has already divined me my vote choice," Chikage says. "I already know who I shall vote out."
"Very well then," Jet states. "How about you, Ui?"
"I'm going based off who I think is the greatest threat in this game," Ui says.
"What about you, Sayu?"
"I want to vote out the weakest person," Sayu states.
"Tsukasa?"
"It's based on which ouster will get me the farthest in this game."
"And you, Kurome?"
"I'm basing it on long-term strategy."
"Wow!" Jet exclaims. "Such different reasons from each person out here. How can all five of you come to a consensus when you're all over the map with these choices?"
"It's tough," Tsukasa says. "Voting out someone is never easy, but we've gotta do it, thanks in part to you."
"I take responsibility," Jet says. "I picked your tribe, and boy, was it a bad decision. Let's face it: you guys suck."
"But at least we admit that we suck," Kurome says. "We might be the worst tribe to ever play Survivor, in fact."
"Oh, no, no, no!" Jet laughs. "There have been far worse tribes than yours. But yours is pretty bad, and you can't deny it."
"Let's work on getting this tribe stronger," Sayu says. "That way, we can start winning."
"But that's assuming that you're not the weakest player, Sayu," Jet says. "Don't you see the danger inherent here? You could be asking everyone else to vote you out tonight. You may be putting out your own torch."
"I understand," Sayu says. "But I believe in my tribemates, and they believe in me. Right?"
No one says a word.
"Well, I think they believe in me," Sayu states. "I'm sure everyone wants to make sure they're not putting their necks out on the line to support me."
"It's a tough situation, as I've said," Tsukasa says. "All five of us are worried tonight. There are potential three-person voting blocs all over."
"Which ones?" Jet asks.
"Well, there's myself and Kurome, together with one of the other three," Tsukasa says.
"Or, there's Chikage, Sayu, and myself, another bloc of three," Ui says.
"And there's always the possibility of four people voting together," Kurome says. "Honestly, this thing could be all over. We have no idea how it's going down tonight."
"Interesting," Jet says. "No one's willing to put their necks out on the line to support Sayu, yet everyone's willing to say who they're aligned with."
"We aren't saying that, per se," Tsukasa says. "We're just trying to point out that different players have different plans. And you just heard three permutations – but there are many, many more."
"Tsukasa's right," Kurome says. "This vote could be a really bizarre one tonight."
"I'm scared," Ui says. "And I'll admit it. I know that this thing could go awry for myself and Sayu."
"Ah! You called yourself and Sayu an alliance!" Jet exclaims.
"That's just one combination, though," Ui says. "It's possible that all four of us are going after Sayu. Or that three of us are going after Chikage. We don't know until the votes are read. That's what makes Tribal Council so terrifying."
"What about idols?" Jet asks. "If someone out here has an idol, that could throw everything into chaos."
"If someone has an idol, I already know who it is," Chikage says. "My tarot cards have told me everything."
"Spooky!" Jet says. "Tsukasa, any thought as to whether it makes sense tonight to play an idol?"
"What, like I have one?" Tsukasa asks. "Don't be stupid, I don't have one. But if I did, I'd be thinking of playing it tonight. This is one of those situations where you gotta look out for yourself."
"Is this vote tonight that dangerous, though, Kurome?" Jet asks. "Because the way it sounds to me, an idol's not gonna factor into this. It's going to be a voting bloc that's sure of what it's doing, and there won't be a reason to pull an idol."
"That's only if you know you're part of the voting bloc," Kurome says. "I'm sure every one of us thinks we're part of the voting bloc, but maybe we aren't. And if you aren't, then you're probably out. So, if I had an idol, I'd play it tonight, but I don't have one."
"Interesting," Jet says. "Two people here have denied having an idol. Anyone willing to admit they've got it?"
"Don't be silly, Jet," Ui says. "No one's going to admit it. This is a game of lies. I don't trust a single one of these people out here that are saying they don't have it."
"Well, I don't have it!" Sayu says. "And I'm telling the truth. There's no way I've been able to find it."
"How about you, Chikage?" Jet says. "Willing to admit you've got it?"
"It is not in the cards," Chikage replies. "Brother Darling is protecting me through the cards. I have no use of an idol."
"Very well then," Jet says. "It is… time to vote. Chikage, you're up first."
The Tribal Council theme "Tally the Vote" plays as the players go to vote.
Chikage goes to vote.
"Brother Darling has told me to vote for you tonight," Chikage says. "I must obey his wishes."
Kurome goes to vote.
"I'm totally creeped out by everything that's happened tonight," Kurome says. "I have no idea if this is the right vote or not. I'm just going with it and hoping things work out for me."
Sayu goes to vote.
Tsukasa goes to vote.
Ui goes to vote.
"You may not be the weakest, you may not be the strongest, you may have no reason to go home tonight," Ui says. "But none of that matters tonight."
Ui comes back from voting, and Jet smiles.
"I'll go tally the votes."
Jet goes over to the voting booth, looks in the voting urn, mixes up the votes, then grabs the urn and returns it to his podium.
"If anyone has an advantage or an idol, and you would like to play it, now would be the time to do so," Jet says.
Kurome looks over at Tsukasa, who isn't budging. The other players look suspicious at Kurome and Tsukasa, but say nothing.
"All right," Jet says. "Once the votes are read, the decision is final, and the person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."
Jet pulls out the first vote.
"First vote… Chikage."

"Ui."
Ui shakes her head, then gets up from her seat. "Great game, guys," she says. "I really wish I could have played longer, but…"
"It wasn't in the cards," Chikage finishes her sentence.
Ui chuckles. "Maybe so."
"Ui, you need to bring Wataru your torch," Jet states.
Ui smiles, then grabs her torch. She brings it over and puts it in the slot in front of Wataru.
"Ui, it can't be true!" Wataru says. "The tribe has spoken; it's time for you to go."
"See you at the reunion!" Ui calls, as she walks on out.
Jet grins at the remaining players.
"So she thinks," Jet says. "Maybe we cut costs on our budget enough that we can't even afford to have an actual reunion anymore. In any case, grab your torches, head back to camp, good night."
The remaining players chuckle, then get up to take their torches back to camp.
"I was whamboozled!" Ui says. "And no, I didn't hear 'Last Christmas' by Wham! I just got blindsided by these girls. I have no idea even who voted for me, because I thought I was in good with everybody. Maybe Sayu was the only one who went with me. It doesn't matter now. I tried my best, but in the end, they got me! And that's Survivor for ya!"
Who voted for whom:
Chikage – Ui
Kurome – Ui
Sayu – Chikage
Tsukasa – Ui
Ui – Chikage
