Chapter 2:
bopdog111: So we got Mitsuru, and the others trying for Duelist Kingdom. Ken also used his Persona to save Yugi's Exodia cards (and if any of you remember a certain video, don't be concerned Yugi isn't keeping them), and he gave them to Tea. Anything I missed?
Ulrich362: Mitsuru and Kaiba have some history and Minato has a sister.
bopdog111: Oh yeah those to. A sister who is surprised to find she's employed for her brother's friends.
Ulrich362: True, so let's see what happens. Enjoy the chapter.
Disclaimer: We don't own Persona 3 or Yu-Gi-Oh! All we own are the OCs.
"Okay form a line, and exit the ship single file." guards like by Kemo started directing the competitors over to exit the ship after they arrived.
"Yamagishi, be on your guard... I have a feeling things are going to be more complicated than a simple tournament and business takeover." Mitsuru whispered to her.
Fuuka nodded over from this as they walked with the others as Tea looked around. "Hey Tristan do you see him?"
"See who?"
"You know." Tea gave an annoyed look.
Tristan looked around before shrugging. "No I don't... maybe he's way in the back?"
"So we're really here... Duelist Kingdom." If it wasn't for the important mission, Ken would've started getting fanboyed over from being on such a legendary island.
"Why is he holding the tournament here?" Minako asked Ken. "Wouldn't a large building be better?"
"I don't know... but he probably wanted things to be extravagant if he invited some of the best duelists to compete." Ken guessed over for that.
She nodded as everyone was led to a large castle.
"Extravagant is right." Mitsuru noted seeing it.
"All duelists!" Kemo announced over silencing all chatter. "A word from Maximillion Pegasus himself! He wishes to give a speech before the tournament can begin!"
The doors to the castle opened up as who stepped out was Pegasus with a grin. Yugi frowned seeing him but Ken could hardly contain his excitement at seeing the creator of Duel Monsters.
"First off allow me to thank everyone for coming, and for making it in time for the tournament to begin. I personally expected to invite the best, and for them to show me the kind of dueling minds they all have. All of you have been selected by yours truly to duel onto the legendary Duelist Kingdom to see who has what it takes to become the best duelist of your generation, and claim the title the 'King of Games'." Pegasus stated over his speech with a grin. "Before the tournament can begin we must of course relay the rules for this Tournament. You may have noticed the gloves all of you received with your invitations."
Everyone looked at the gauntlets at that.
"So we were right, these gauntlets and Star Chips are vital to this tournament... I suppose they represent our life in this game, likely losing them means elimination." Mitsuru noted.
"To compete in the tournament you need to have a Star Chip with you. For the preliminary matches here, players will take 48 hours to duel in the tournament, and wager Star Chips." Pegasus voiced over there importance. "If you run out of Star Chips you will be eliminated, and any player caught giving Star Chips outside of duels will be immediately disqualified with no exceptions. The first four players to receive 10 Star Chips will proceed to the finals. You must have the cards "The Glory of the King's Opposite Hand" or "Glory of the King's Hand" in order to participate in the finals. The winner of the finals will then face me in a duel for the 'King of Games' Title, and must have "The Glory of the King's Opposite Hand" to duel me and "Glory of the King's Hand" to win the cash prize of 3 million dollars."
Competitors started talking excitedly at the idea of getting to be the King of Games and get a 3 million dollar prize.
"However..." Pegasus started to get there attention.
Hearing that they all turned to Pegasus at that.
"What other rule does this tournament have?" Joey questioned.
"I must confess that getting Star Chips will not be easy as there are many skilled duelists. The total amount of Star Chips for the finalists to have is 40, and we have 80 Star Chips for all of you." Pegasus explained over. "So during the Tournament, a group of Duelists known as the Eliminators will also be competing all for the purpose of collecting the 40 leftover Star Chips. If you so happen to defeat an Eliminator you will claim one of there Star Chips but it won't eliminate them from the tournament. I must warn everyone that the Eliminators are some of my most powerful duelists so if you happen to cross paths do be careful."
"Eliminators, that doesn't sound good." Fuuka frowned nervously.
"True, though if they're collecting 40 Star Chips their gauntlets should be recognizable." Mitsuru noted. "Still we should stick together to be on the safe side. This is enemy territory."
"And finally there are special Duel Fields all around the island." Pegasus started the last bit of his speech. "Placed on them are something I call Universal Field Spells where monsters of a specific type will gain more Attack or Defense Points based on the terrain they are on. Like say in the forest area in that direction," he pointed over to an area that everyone turned seeing the forest. "All Insect, Beast, Winged-Beast, and Plants will gain 200 attack points. Similarly if you duel in a ocean like area Fishes, and Aqua monsters will receive a similar power up. Some of these fields will have other effects so be mindful if you choose one that doesn't benefit your Deck."
"So since I use a lot of warriors I should look for an open field." Joey realized.
"Okay. To close things out, I wish everyone luck in the tournament, and hope I see some of you for the finals. You have a total of 2 days to collect 10 Star Chips to be the first 4 duelists to enter. Watch out when you cross paths with an Eliminator." Pegasus clapped his hands from this. "Are all Duelists ready?"
The crowd of duelists cheered at that all eager for the tournament to begin.
"Alright then, Kemo be ready to start the clock." Kemo nodded as a screen was lowered showing 48 hours on it. "Let the Duelist Kingdom Tournament..." Pegasus raised his arm to begin the tournament before swiping down. "BEGIN!" Kemo pressed a button on a remote as the time started.
Everyone ran from the castle to find places where their decks would get the 200 point boost as Mitsuru frowned.
"Amada, we'll be following your lead so where do you recommend we go first?" she asked him calmly.
Ken gives some thought over being the leader kinda makes him nervous while Tristan turned to Mitsuru surprised. "Wait your letting a kid like him pick for us?"
"Of course, Amada is the most experienced regarding this game and so I trust his judgment." Mitsuru nodded calmly.
"Well him, and Yugi both do don't ya?" Joey grinned patting Yugi's back who smiled over.
"We should start with the open field first. We would have a more advantage so we won't get lost through some areas." Ken suggested over to them. "Duelists will also be in the open which we can find quite a bit without trees to get in our way."
Mitsuru nodded at that. "Alright, in that case we'll begin the operation."
"So what brings you here to Duelist Kingdom? You look familiar." Yugi started some small talk as they headed to the open field area to find some duelists.
"We explained on the boat, it seems that Pegasus is trying to take over Kaiba Corporation and I came to help Mokuba Kaiba and Seto." Mitsuru reminded him. "Just as you came to help recover your grandfather's soul."
"Yeah Yuge told us that Pegasus somehow gotten his Gramps' soul from some tape." Joey shrugged over. "I don't know about you but I'm already confused about it."
"It was his Millennium Eye Joey, he has an item just like my puzzle." Yugi pointed out frowning. "I have to get my grandpa back, and take down Pegasus no matter what."
"I know Yugi, don't worry we'll beat that creep together." Joey reassured him.
"But for your own reason, do you know where Mokuba is?" Tea asked over.
Minako frowned. "We believe he's somewhere on this island, but we don't know where exactly."
"Well we will help you guys find him." Yugi smiled over.
"We appreciate that." Mitsuru nodded calmly as they saw several dueling arenas in a field before she paused seeing someone with his hands in his pockets with a bandanna on his head that has the design of the American Flag. "It seems we're not the only ones who brought guests to this competition."
"What you mean?" Joey asked over confused.
Turning over Ken widen his eyes. "Hey I know that guy!"
"Who is he Ken-kun?" Fuuka asked.
"Remember the guy, I told you about? That's him!" Ken answered over.
"Oh him!" Fuuka recalled over what Ken is talking about with Aigis nodding in agreement.
"Sorry you haven't told me." Minako admitted over.
"Oh yeah, you two weren't there. I told everyone about the kind of skills Pegasus has but you two weren't there." Ken remembered over before starting to explain. "That guy was someone Pegasus dueled against only he wasn't the one who won but the duel ended in that guy's loss."
"Wait, if Pegasus didn't win how could he have lost?" Minako asked not understanding. "That doesn't make any sense."
Unknown to them though, he happened to overhear Ken.
"Let me explain it over." Ken started to tell again.
Flashback...
KEN: Sometime while I was living with mom, me, and her were dueling together, and sometimes watch the news involving the best duelists. There was a TV Special where Pegasus went to New York City to promote Duel Monsters with Seto Kaiba as one of his guests. His opponent in that event was that guy someone named Bandit Keith.
In was a time in a living room where a younger Ken wearing a oversized yellow shirt was watching the TV excitedly with a brown haired woman sitting next to him with a smile seeing how excited her son is as they see Pegasus, and the guy without his sunglasses, and his face not having his trimmed beard was dueling each other while a brown haired, blue suited man was watching with crossed arms.
"Pegasus is really amazing." the younger Ken smiled.
"I can tell Ken. Maybe one day you can duel him." the woman smiled over to him.
He smiled before to their surprise Pegasus started writing something before turning and gesturing to a boy in the audience.
"Hey what are you doing, asking for help's illegal!" the man argued.
KEN: Were not sure what he was doing. Keith looked like he had drawn a good card but Pegasus wrote something on a piece of paper, and called someone from the crowd to take his place.
"I don't need help, a child can defeat you Bandit Keith, and I aim to prove it." Pegasus said confidently as the boy sat down in his chair.
"But, I just started to learn how to play last week."
"Just follow these instructions, and you'll win." Pegasus assured handing what he had written to the boy who takes it curiously reading it while Pegasus takes a seat beside the man watching making small talk.
Keith does look really annoyed about this change of opponents but then smirked. This kid should be easy to beat. With that said he continued his intended move. "Garnecia Elefantis!"
"Wow good card, but the note says when you play that I should summon this one in attack mode." the boy said placing a monster on the field before to the shock of everyone the match was over, and not in Keith's victory. "And that's all your life points."
This stunned everyone from what had just happened Ken, and his mother included over watching in shock.
"What!?" Keith raised up infuriated his hand shaking from rage unable to believe he really lost. "You little snot-nosed brat! There was no way you could've known, I was gonna play that card!" He snatched the instructions from his hands. "Gimme that!" He opened it reading over, and his eyes widen stunned from what he is reading over while Pegasus smirked from where he is. "It's all here! The card I'd play, how to beat it, EVERYTHING!"
Pegasus rose up walking, and raising the boy's hand while Keith was on all fours humiliated beyond from losing to a child while Pegasus announced over with a grin. "Sam is the winner!" Everyone started clapping applauding over from this while the younger Ken watches really amazed, and feeling his admiration towards Pegasus spike even more.
KEN: I really don't get what had happened from there but it was like he was able to predict what Keith was gonna use, and given someone a chance to exploit it. It was like he knows Duel Monsters, and his opponent's moves from the back of his hand.
End Flashback...
He finished explaining it over to them with shock on some of there faces.
"I see, and what happened to Keith after that?" Mitsuru asked calmly.
"I'm not sure..." Ken admitted over. "I guess he was still pretty angry from losing to a kid. Seeing him here, I don't know what he's up to."
"He's coming this way." Minako mentioned as they saw Keith with three duelists with gauntlets walking over to them.
Ken looks nervous which Mitsuru takes his shoulder pulling him over to her to protect him over as the four stopped staring at them which Yugi started over the talk. "Can we help you?"
"I couldn't help overhear your little conversation." Keith told them. "Pegasus pulled some trick but it won't work again."
"Hold it, you're not even entered in this tournament." Joey pointed out.
Hearing that the Shadow Operatives looked seeing Keith is lacking one of the gloves.
"Does that mean he is here through connections?" Fuuka kinda guessed how Keith is here similar to how Minako gotten them in.
"It's possible." Mitsuru noted. "Is there something you need?"
"Your Star Chips of course missy." one of the people with Keith smirked. "Just give us the word sir."
"Hold on, I think I recognize her, what's your name?" Keith questioned.
"Mitsuru Kirijo." Mitsuru answered simply.
"Kirijo? You mean the Kirijo group?" the shortest person with Keith asked. "Boss, what are they doing here?"
"Hell if I know." Keith shrugged over before turning over.
"Look if you want something from us just state your point, we got a tournament to go over." Tea stated over to the annoyed.
"Weren't you listening you dumb girl, we said we're here for your Star Chips." the first man repeated with a smirk.
"I see, however as per the rules you need to defeat me to claim them correct?" Mitsuru inquired calmly. "Very well, then as this is my first game I believe a single Star Chip each would be fair stakes correct?"
"Tch, you think you can take all of us by yourself?" the second man smirked over to her. "Even one on one we have you outnumbered."
"Then should we even the odds?" Ken asked over to his group.
"Ken-kun, I would recommend leaving this to Mitsuru-san." Aigis told him.
"Can she really handle three opponents?" Yugi asked.
"It's only one opponent in a duel." Keith pointed out. "Not that it matters."
"Then I suppose I will deal with her first." the second person a brown haired, and glasses wearing man smirked stepping forward. "Name's Sid missy, don't forget that."
Mitsuru only nodded calmly. "Then we should head to one of these arenas?"
"Hey um... So Mitsuru... she has dueled before right?" Joey asked Ken.
"No, she's never had a single match." he answered slightly nervously.
Hearing a rumble they looked over seeing a red dueling platform is raising up with stairs of a dueling mat for players to place there cards with a holographic field in between.
"Field's ready." Sid smirked walking over to his calmly walked to her own side. "Now, before we begin I just want to confirm, the goal is to reduce your life points from 4000 down to zero correct?"
"Yes of course. All while in the duel field..." Sid smirked as the Universal Field Spell was displayed. "Sogen!"
Mitsuru reads over the effect.

"I see, well I appreciate the offer." Mitsuru noted taking her cards. "I'll begin by placing three cards down on the field and then I'll summon my Arctic Empire - Arctic Jinn, the Frozen Genie of the Lamp in attack position."

"Wha-2500 points right off the bat?" Joey asked stunned over.
Mitsuru frowned seeing that.
"And now Goblin Force attack that Genie!" Goblin Attack Force charged in raising there clubs against the Genie.
As they charged in Mitsuru frowned. "I play my trap card, Defensive Blizzard."
Defensive Blizzard

At that a blizzard shot forth which ice builds around Goblin Attack Force.
Goblin Attack Force: (ATK: 2500 / 2 = 1250)
"What?" Sid asked shocked as the Goblin Attack Force fought trough the blizzard but was destroyed by Arctic Jinn while Sid braced from the shockwave. (Sid: 3450/Hand: 5)
"Ha, that guy didn't see that coming did he!?" Joey grinned over from this.
"There's more, as my Frozen Jinn destroyed a monster in battle I can shuffle one spell or trap in my graveyard back into my deck to draw two new cards." Mitsuru stated.
Sid growled over annoyed as she shuffled the trap drawing 2 cards. "Don't get cocky missy." Setting a card he ends his turn.

"Amada, you said something about attack directly correct?" Mitsuru asked him.
"Yeah, if you or your opponent don't have any monsters on the field, you can attack them directly. Some cards can give effects where monsters can attack directly even if your opponent has a monster." Ken confirmed over to Mitsuru.
"In that case I'll have Saggi the Frozen Clown and Arctic Jinn, the Frozen Genie of the Lamp both attack you directly." Mitsuru stated calmly.
Saggi raised it's arms charging a dark orb firing over, and Arctic Jinn fired a frost breath both hitting Sid who grunted over from the attacks. (Sid: 1050/Hand: 4)
Bandit Keith looks annoyed from this. "Sid, what the hell are you doing!? Get back in the duel!"
"Yes boss!" Sid said fearfully.

Ken realizing what it is said over. "A Spell card...!"
Fissure
Normal Spell Card
Destroy the 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that has the lowest ATK (your choice, if tied).
"Thanks to Fissure, your monster that has the least attack points is destroyed!" A ditch opened below Saggi the Frozen Clown.
Mitsuru's eyes widened as her monster fell into the ditch and shattered into ice shards.
"Hey er... wouldn't be smarter too destroy the weaker monster first, so that it would destroy that Genie?" the shortest person with Keith asked confused over while Keith narrowed his eyes getting more annoyed.
"Now go Reborn Tengu!" Reborn Tengu charges in at Arctic Jinn to avenge Goblin Attack Force.
Mitsuru only braced herself as her monster shattered.

"Oh no Mitsuru-senpai!" Fuuka panicked to while the damage combined won't be enough to eliminate all of Mitsuru's LP it would definitely leave a mark.
"Not good, she's about to lose nearly all of her life points." Joey frowned seeing that.
"And now go!"
Reborn Tengu, and Axe Raider charges in to attack Mitsuru at the same time. Mitsuru winced as the attacks hit and she dropped to one knee.
(Mitsuru: 0100/Hand: 4)
"Is she okay?" Minako asked over worried.
Aigis frowned. "I believe so, though Ken-kin is there any way she can turn this duel around?"
"Well... she has to summon a monster strong enough, or destroy them both with an effect." Ken started saying over worried. "Maybe even try Ritual or Fusion."
Sid yawned over to mock Mitsuru. "Lame this is boring..."
"Your turn isn't quite over yet." Mitsuru stated calmly revealing she used a spell. "Arctic Empire - Memories of Ice."
Arctic Empire - Memories of Ice

"My spell also destroys one spell and trap on both sides of the field. I take it that's the end of your turn?" Mitsuru asked him.
Sid growled unable to do anything else now.
Sid's Hand: 3/Field: Reborn Tengu (Attack Position/ATK: 1900/DEF: 800), Axe Raider (Attack Position/ATK: 1900/DEF: 1350)
Mitsuru 4th Turn:
Mitsuru drew her card. "Amada, one final question how did tribute summoning work?"
"It's where you can Tribute a monster on your field to summon a higher leveled monster." Ken started to explain. "For Level 5 or Level 6 you need one, but for Level 7 or higher you need 2. Some monsters require three. The monsters you Tribute to summon them go the graveyard but you can also use Tokens to Tribute Summon."
"I see, that's what I wanted to confirm." Mitsuru stated. "I'll sacrifice both of my Arctic Empire Tokens in order to call this monster, come forth Arctic Empire - Blue-Eyes Arctic Dragon!"

Bandit Keith, his lackeys, Yugi, Tea, Tristan, and Joey all looked stunned from seeing the card while the roar caught the attention of some of the duelists. Ken also looked shocked too. "She has a card based on Blue-Eyes White Dragon?"
"Wha-why does she have the card your Grandpa had but different?" Joey asked Yugi shocked.
"Now to think of it she had been using cards based on Kaiba's Deck. First was Saggi the Frozen Clown, and now this." Yugi said staring at the dragon before he asked to himself. "Mitsuru just who are you...?"
In the castle Pegasus was reading a comic book while drinking some wine only for a man in a suit to walk in. "Mr. Pegasus sir, something's come to your attention that you may want to see sir."
Pegasus turned over curiously. "Show me."
The man nodded pressing a remote as a screen appeared showing Mitsuru's duel with Sid. Pegasus looked over seeing the match where he narrowed his eyes seeing Saggi, and now Blue-Eyes Arctic Dragon which Pegasus watches interested. "Well now... Looks like Kaiba-boy's got himself someone who uses new versions of his cards."
"But who is this woman, and what possible connection could she have to Seto Kaiba, could she be a relative we weren't aware of?" the suited man asked.
Pegasus cupped his chin silently deciding to continue watching the match.
"Blue-Eyes Arctic Dragon, attack his Reborn Tengu with Glacial Breath!" Mitsuru stated.
Arctic Dragon charges an ice blast before blasting over striking Reborn Tengu as Sid yelled out from the attack.

Pegasus stared on as the video paused where he zoomed in to Mitsuru's face. "...She does look familiar." He then turned over towards the man. "Inform me if you find anything about her identity."
"Of course sir." the man nodded walking off as Pegasus looked at her face.
"I'm certain I've seen that woman before, but where?" he questioned frowning.
Back at the duel...
"You did it Mitsuru-senpai!" Fuuka smiled as Mitsuru walked back to them.
"It would seem so." Mitsuru nodded turning to Sid. "And per the rules I win one Star Chip correct?"
Sid glared over as Bandit Keith glared. "I didn't say you can lose!"
"But boss, she was too much-"
"I don't want to hear your excuses." Bandit Keith snatches the glove, and tosses all of Sid's Star Chips which is two towards Mitsuru. "Get lost." He said coldly to Sid.
"Hey, they only wagered one Star Chip, he's not out of the tournament yet." Joey pointed out.
"We are playing by our own rules." Bandit Keith glared over. "I don't know what kind of trick Pegasus had done but I will reach him, and make him pay for embarrassing me like that!"
"Revenge will not make you feel better." Aigis told Keith.
"Don't talk as if you know me." Bandit Keith glared over. "Right now, I will reach him whatever it takes!"
Ken glared over from those who is using Dueling as engine of revenge when it should be used for fun. He clenched his fists over with shadows over his eyes. "Mitsuru-san?"
"Stand down Amada, he isn't important... we have our own objectives here." Mitsuru reminded him.
"I can't stand those who are willing to use something as fun as Duel Monsters for there selfish purposes. It's suppose to be for fun not for revenge." Ken stated over to her. "He doesn't have any Star Chips so there should be no problem if I duel him."
Mitsuru blinked before smiling. "Very well, if that's what you think is the best course of action."
With that Ken stepped forward glaring at Bandit Keith. "You got me to duel with now... I challenge you!"
"Huh, a brat like you?" Bandit Keith glared over. "What you think cause Pegasus let some brat beat me you think you have a chance? You don't understand how this world works, go play kid."
"If you really don't think I'm worth it, then you should have no trouble dueling me." Ken stated over with a glare before saying something that's sure to provoke him. "Oh, don't tell me... your scared of losing to another 'snot-nosed brat'?"
"What was that you runt?" Bandit Keith questioned infuriated from the insult. "Fine, you want a duel you've got one! I'll teach you what it means to insult me!"
The two stared at each other off with glares over.
bopdog111: Well Mitsuru shows her powerful Deck, and now Ken is stepping up against one of the most un-liked characters in the first series.
Ulrich362: True, and as for Mitsuru's deck it is based on Kaiba's with some effects so hopefully it's decent?
bopdog111: Well now let's find out what Ken can do in the next chapter.
Ulrich362: Makes sense to me. See you in the next chapter.
bopdog111: Be sure to review!
